I had initially booked this move a few weeks in advance on a Sunday afternoon as was told there would be a 4 hour minimum if no other job had been booked that day, which I found acceptable. Come the day of the move I get a call from the movers saying they're going to be a little late as they're finishing up a job (no 4 hour minimum). The loading of the furniture went fine despite them leaving behind a mattress and a table, then unloading is when the problems started. We have a custom bedframe made of solid steel in one piece and being as such it wouldn't fit down the staircase leading to our basement suite. When my gf's friend started giving suggestions to the movers, one of them started getting pretty aggressive, threatening to keep our stuff including my girlfriend's grandmothers ashes since it was in "their truck". He then called us dirty and if he knew in advance how "dirty" we were he wouldn't have accepted the job and that he has turned down cleaner people. My problem was how disrespectful the one mover was, including making us pay the 4 hour minimum even though it only took 2.5 hours.I work in customer service, it doesn't matter how the customer treats you, you don't snap back at them.

The guys were fast, very friendly and professional and went above and beyond to get my crazy massive couch into my new apartment. I would hire them again in a heartbeat! ????????

Unfortunately I did not have very good experience with this company at all I had used them over a year ago and they were actually very good but this past month when I went to move it was a terrible experience they were half an hour late they brought in one extra person and charged me for it and my total came out to $1,900 that is ridiculous this company is a joke and I'm tired of being taken advantage of its disgusting

Big moving companies usually feel like all the cargo is on an assembly line but Top Notch Movers being family-owned and local made me stick with them. The insurance and flat pricing means that it’s their responsibility and I didn’t have to worry about any of my stuff getting messed up. The easy and free consultation is great to make sure that everything is planned out and goes as planned. Great service and company, keep it up!

We moved locally yesterday. I had contacted Dale about a year ago when we started looking. He gave me a flat rate quote and I was happy that a year later it only went up marginally due to fuel and material costs. We had a team of 3 men, led by Daniel , along with Kelly and Blake. They were fantastic. Very respectful, friendly, liked to joke with us, and when my car fob battery died at one location I even got a ride home to get another key and a ride back with Kelly. They worked quickly after putting runners down to protect the floors. They were great and we were done our move by 630 pm. We started right on time at 9am.

WOW! This was the BEST moving experience I have ever had! From the time I made the initial call, to the day I sent the packers on their way, the move was FLAWLESS. (all wrapped and no damage.) The owner came to quote my move, there was follow up to confirm the booking date, and regular communication. The 3 man crew showed up and they WORKED WORKED WORKED. They asked questions, confirmed things to be moved, and were busy all day. It was a move from in the city, to the country. They were cheerful, and polite. I would DEFINITELY recommend TopNotch. Great service and quality by Alberta Top Notch Movers. The staff was friendly and packed everything into the trucks like Olympic heavyweight lifters. When they brought everything back out of the truck, I took out all my stuff to make sure that they hadn’t broken anything, but everything was still perfect even though they had done everything so fast. Horrible experience the movers were polite and on time but the job was done very unprofessional. From the minute they showed up there was miscommunication. The office had booking issues and did not send the qualified packers that we had booked a week in advance, so the movers did the packing. The packing was done very sloppy lots of broken items nothing was organized and everything was just thrown into boxes. The office was very inefficient and not easy to communicate with. The dispatcher was very rude and not helpful. The prices were way to expensive for the service we received. It was not a good experience.

They were friendly during my initial phone call, and booked my move on short notice. The movers were punctual and friendly when they arrived the morning of but that quickly wore off. The guys could have been more efficient, but I didnt want to cause a stir over a little slacking. When they began asking my girlfriend to carry glass tables on her own so they didn't have to wrap them and took over an hour to arrive at the destination (a ten minute drive away) there were several instances of inappropriate comments and unprofessional behavior including breaking fixtures in our new bathroom and laughing about it , making large scratches in the hardwood floors and making a hole in a bedroom door. When they finished i was surprised by a bill that was double the initial quote and had not been billed to the nearest quarter hour, as promised. I was told a cheque was not ok, I counted out all my cash on hand (almost $600), and when it wasnt enough then suddenly a cheque was ok, but only for the remainder of balance and kept the cash. I called to discuss this and was told to send an email with details and I was called by owner, who stated that cheques werent accepted because he could use the bad cheques he had received from "my people" as wallpaper. I have since sent an email to ask for follow up regarding damages etc, but my email seems to have been blocked. As was my girlfriend's phone number after she called to inquire about my dyson vacuum that they left at the old apartment which they admitted and laughed at before hanging up on her. I only gave 1 star as rating because giving zero isnt an option.

Dale was really helpful with his expert advice and showing us what goes where and how we could save as much space as possible. By the end, we were able fit everything in one truck in only an hour!

If I could give them a zero I would. Gave me and my friend extream attitude. Swore at my friend. I asked him to please not treat my my friend that way and he was nasty to me as well. Of course he treated my boyfriend with the up most respect though. They neglected to take the kitchen table we asked them to take from my old place as well. I would not recoment this company to anyone, even my worst enemy.

Tldr: I wouldnt wish this service on my worst enemy. The cost lf replacing damaged and lost possessions and hiring a lawyer could have covered a down payment. This was the WORST moving exoerience I've ever had. The movers were on time but what should have been a 3 hour move max ended up taking 5. At first the gentlemen were very friendly but after they were made aware of a number of items left behind, including a Dyson vacuum, they refused to take a cheque which we had been assured would be fine. They demanded we give all of our cash and grudgingly accepted a cheque for the rest. There was damage done to the hardwood and one employee pulled a fixture in the washroom out of the well and just laughed and threw it on the floor. When we finally mamaged to speak to someone who could address these issues the man (I think it was the owner) said we needed to pay cash and then trust that he would dispose of the cheque. He said people make mistakes and there would be no effort to fix the damaged goods or retrieve our forgotten property as that was the cost of moving. We later found out we had paid the equivalent cost of a move out of town for a move 10 minutes away. Hiring a mover to make a stressful day a little more convenient has turned into a nightmare. Never use this company.

My parents needed help with their move to their new apartment, but I was really busy with my schedule, so I gave Top Notch Movers a call. Keeping the customer first is important and we felt that with Top Notch Movers. Not many companies offer to have the moving company bring packaging and pack all your things and furniture. It would’ve taken my parents a LONG time but they were able to do it in 2 hours. Great & personalized service! 5 stars!

Usually I’m scrambling when it comes with companies like these, but Alberta Top Notch Movers really surprised by how quickly we were able to book their team, how quickly they got everything and loaded it on the truck and finally, the price tag. Here in Edmonton, you’re either getting great service and high price or low price but poor service. These guys have it all and I’d be happy to work with them again! 5 stars out of 5.

I used Top Notch Movers on June 21, 2021 for a move from one house to another and I cannot express how happy I am with the service. They were professional, tardy, respective and kind. They asked questions before proceeding with items they weren't sure of. We did a walk through to determine what was going and what was staying before the move. We also did a final walk through to ensure all items that needed to be moved, were moved. I had a 300 lb Marble Dining room table and it was handled with exceptional care. It had to be brought up to the second level of my house (a flight of 19 stairs). They also disassembled and reassembled the legs in order to do this. Everything was moved without any scratches or damages to my furniture or to the walls and floors. I would hire this company again without a doubt and also refer them to family and friends. Excellent Service!

The manager, Dale, made sure to lay out and plan how the whole move would take place before it began so I knew there wouldn’t be any confusion. I was also pleased to find out that they give quality insurance to hardwood flooring or carpets so that if something did happen, I wouldn’t have to be the one worrying about it.

I was trying to book a last-minute move and many companies told me that they were busy or they didn’t work at that time. Luckily for me, Alberta Top Notch Movers was an option. They were really flexible with their schedule and it was like they were bending to fit my accommodations instead of the other way around. Not to mention the move was really quick and they made sure that they didn’t leave a mess. Great company, would recommend.

If I could rate them lower I would. The reason for the low rates are because these people pay their employees cash under the table... this way they can decide to just not pay them for their work..... My step son worked for them for 2 wks and when it was time to be paid his supervisor /employer couldn't be reached, and no one would return his call..... so he worked between 8-12hrs a day 6 days a week for 2.5 wks and was never paid. We are in the process of filing a complaint with the better business bureau and with the city to see if we can get the looked into before they can renew their business license. Before you use them make sure they still have a business license and request to see proof that their employees are bonded.....

I recently moved into a 2 bedroom apartment with a good amount of furniture. Right from the start it was a good experience, I dealt with Bob and he was very thorough and got back to me very quickly. For the move I had the pleasure of meeting Daniel, Mack, and Justin and they were beyond amazing, never had a move go so smoothly and quickly, they actually finished my move faster than quoted and we're awesome to deal with, they were very observant and thorough and not a single piece of furniture was put on the dolly without coverings to prevent damage and removed legs to prevent issues and even positioned my furniture the way it was going to be set up. Overall I couldn't be happier with the company and the 3 gentleman that helped make my move so easy. Would 100% recommend if your looking for a move and would like to deal with a company and employees that care about your possessions and making your life easier.

This company was recommended to us and they did not disappoint. We used them for two moves. The day before each move I received a phone call double checking all the details. We had a 3 man crew and they did everything efficiently. They always asked me about any details they were unsure of. My special requests were handled with courtesy. The move was done on time and with no issues. Nothing was broken or damaged. I would definitely recommend them. My last move experience with another large Edmonton company was a nightmare so I was so pleased with this move.

One rude crew member that also broke a case. I had to chase them down for an answer and then got an email from them stating more or less not their fault, these things happen.... I called the next day to speak to Zella ( the women who wrote the letter) but was told she was on another call. I left my name / number and never got a call back. That was over a week later and still no reply. To add to that the walls also got knicked . Customer service when you want to book was pleasant but when there's an issue you are screwed!!! NEVER USE THEM

They moved my 4 bed house from Edmonton to camrose 28/5/18. An estimator came as scheduled, on time and gave an on par quote. The 3 guys that showed up on moving day were quick and friendly. It was hot as hell that day but they muscled through. Mats went down where needed and care was shown throughout both properties. I'd hire them again, the final bill was flat rate and exact quote ????. They helped pack last minute stuff I never thought about and loaded the van to the brim. It's funny how different you look at how much you own when you move...

Turns out they have more than 10 years experience and they’re rated A+ by some business organization so I took a chance. Really liked how open and friendly they were and how I knew from the start the price because I paid by the quarter hour. Great job. 5 stars!

Terrible. I wish I could give a 0 star rating. One of the movers was a shorter balding man who had 0 manners. My best friend has a steel bed frame that is welded together because of her weight and her bfs weight. They got this bed frame made special for the amount of weight to hold. They wouldn’t listen to ideas to get it into the basement suite. When I said something the bald man yelled at me and started to swear at me and get offensive and drop threats. When my best friend told him not to yell at me, he yelled at her and called her and her bf dirty (they’re clean people). He was very disrespectful and rude. He also sawed my bed friends bed frame in half. And apparently it’s so he can bolt it together and make it easier to bring into the suite. We are very worried it won’t be as sturdy, and if it isn’t and it breaks, then Alberta Top Notch movers better be paying 600+ dollars to replace the bedframe. I would never reccomend this company to anyone.

We hired Alberta Top Notch Movers to move us about three weeks ago. In addition to the moving, they did our packing for us as well. The crew arrived right on time and went straight to work! By lunch time I was totally amazed with the progress with the job. They went to work and never stopped til around 3:00 when it was all packed and loaded up. They unloaded in less than three hours and did a wonderful job. The crew, Rick, Kris and Ernie did an amazing job. They were organized, fast, very polite and respectful. The only damage that occurred was a broken light bulb that I forgot to remove from a lamp. Other than that not one thing was damaged. Their price came in about $400 less than I was expecting too boot!! I would not hesitate to use these fellows again or tell my friends about them!!

It’s nice since so many companies feel like they’re pulling the rug out from under me.
