This Movie Theater corresponds to the category of Movie theater.
I feel bad rating 1 star, but I want to communicate what this theatre is like compared to theatres we all are used too. It's worth going out of town.
Cant complain for an $8 movie
Dirty. Smells of vomit. Old. Needs some serious reno!
i seriously detest this theater. it's so outdated and needs to be more professional. i think they are in need of updates including theater seats and literally the whole lobby.
Went to see star wars. Clean and great family environment.
High prices for a simple theatre. A little outdated but otherwise fine.
They need better popcorn
Great place to see a new movie!
Prices beat Cineplex and still has that quaint little hometown feel. While providing enough screens to give you a selection of movies to choose from.
In a major need of an upgrade. Or at least fix and clean the seats.
just need renovation
A very typical small town cinema.
It's the only movie theatre in town. The seats are fine.
Getting old, needs some touch ups
This place is a dirty, broken dump.
Awesome theatre for Woodstock! It's not associated with Silver City, so don't bother trying to use their gift cards or points. Plenty of screens and lots of snacks. Good prices for our town.
Been a few times, matinée, early and late shows. The popcorn seems to always be small pieces. Like it came from the bottom. The last visit, they only had 3 small candy types. I have been when the popcorn flavour section is very messy and the manager is just standing around doing nothing. Employees seem to take the dress code lightly. Shirts too baggy, unbuttoned and just look unkept. I realize they are teenagers and this is just a theatre not 5 star dining but this is lesson that should be taught.
Seen the new Hobbit movie in high frame rate 3D there and it sure does look cool. Great popcorn too!
It's pretty dated now compared to other cinemas. Seats are pretty uncomfortable and some of the screens have some marks on them, but it gets the job done.
Good snacks although a little pricey. Tues is cheap night. Lots of seating and wheelchair accessible. The seats are older and kind of uncomfortable but they work. Added bonus is cup holders built right into the armrests. Some parking at the side of the building but most people park across the street.
Its a nice place but it would be great if they can start showing Punjabi or Hindi movie, as the demand is growing.. so it would be great.
Need to upgrade their sound system. Bathroom urinals were overflowing. Floors were sticky.
Nice place..easy parking..med size screens..nothing to fancy...but price vs value is good.. Sound system is nice.
This is the best theater! It's rarely packed and the snacks are reasonably priced. Smaller screens but I don't need or want screens so large I have to turn my head to see the action or sound systems so loud my ears are ringing. I'm an old now, I suppose.
the theater is getting old, the seat beside me had a big hole in it and there is a bit of a smell in the whole place. The staff was friendly and the line up of movies is good. Prices seem inline with any other theater.
Great place to see a movie
Not busy and good picture and sound
Im not sure what all the bad reviews are about.I have went to this cinema for at least 20 movies and every time I have had a great time. Dont listen to every thing you hear on the internet
Awesome place go with ur family or friends and of course ur partner in crime lol
Love this little place!! Im a Torontonian living in Woodstock, and these type of theatres are a dieing breed, so support them because once there gone its forever.
Nice and clean.
Great place!!
Always a great place to go wish it was more comfortable though lay out is great just need better seats
Great night out!
Best popcorn. Theater needs some TLC though
Friendly fun environment
Good theatre. Lots of movies to choose from
Food is really cheap! Whole place is nice and home-y
Little out of date but still nice!
No recliners, no reserve seating the theaters are often not cleaned and the lobby has nothing to do while waiting. Food is cheap though.
Nice local theater with decent food prices.
Small cinema, always lots of seats. Good showtimes. Not the best seats or concession though.
Best place
It’s a perfectly fine theatre but the seats can be uncomfortable at times, and staff can sometimes be unfriendly at times but most of the time they’re nice.
seats need an upgrade. lobby is outdated. wash room is outdated. food prices are not ridiculous like silver city or empire theatres. surround sound is amazing.
Smaller cinema but cozy with friendly staff. There was even a small kiosk to buy tickets. Short wait for concessions but the staff were organized and efficient. We had a small theater in the back but it was still immersive.
Watched a great movie in this awesome place loved the food & staff
So old it's amazing it hasn't been replaced.
Nice small theater. Could use an update. Friendly staff and all together a good experience!
Not the most comfortable but it's still decent for a decent price.
Very helpful staff.
Great prices. We went before lockdown and ended up being the only ones in the theater. We really enjoyed it, and love supporting local. Will be back in the future!
Small nice little theatre.
Small town theatre, good popcorn, decent prices, but no closed captioning for the deaf.
Cheaper than other cinemas, and as an added bonus movie was great
A bit expensive for uncomfortable seating. They need to upgrade. I prefer driving out of town to pay less prices for better comfort.
best movie theater ive ever been too in my life hope it dosent close
Never busy which is ok sometimes but in all honesty needs a bit of a makeover not all that inviting ..
A little old, but a nice theatre
Stupid place
Chairs could be updated...but I do really like that it's not as busy as other theatres on a Saturday matinee
1st run movies Ticket price is slightly above market Popcorn price is ridiculous
It's small town movie player. Can't argue. Has everything you need. Movie isn't late food isn't a rip off. So I recommend
Costs are as high or higher than big city theaters but they don't have as much to offer. They do not honour Scene points and the concession prices are high and value poor. (2 Lrg pop only was $9.50!!!!) It is clean and the staff are always polite and respectful. I personally go out of town to Kitchener or London when possible. It's disappointing that the money doesn't stay in local independent business but it's not worth my money!
Good prices and good selection of movies.
Limited parking inside looks run down. Seats are very old. In need of some TLC.
Friendly staff, but the theater it self needs some up grades. Cup holders falling off the seats, seats falling apart, went to buy our children the child snack pack and all the slushie machines were empty ;( . Biggest thing a reminder for people to stay off thier phones during the movie!
Seen the new It movie. Seats were broken. Missing arm rests
Relatively inexpensive but the screens are old and in a rough shape. It's your only option in Woodstock
Fun place to watch a movie, great for a family
Slower service, but it was clean and staff were friendly.
Nice theatre
Its not the greatest of all. I have seen better. Probably the best local theater, tho.
The movie theatres are really good to Experience watching a movie.
Great little theatre to catch a movie in. It never seems too busy. The drinks are cold, and the popcorn is hot and buttery like it should be. Washroom is pretty tidy ,and the place isn't falling apart.
Nice cozy theatres
Great movie, great sound but cinema 7 really needs an upgrade! It smells horrible, the seats are worn and dirty, and they have no padding left. When you are sitting through a 2 hour movie and are extremely uncomfortable the whole time, makes you wish you had driven out of town for a better experience.
good seating, good food, good sound. pretty high end theater for what youd expect from this town, nothing super fancy but always has what you want to see
Small, privately owned multi-theater cinema. Not as glitzy as the big chains, but they're cheaper and I was pleasantly surprised.
Nice. Screen/Seats are a little small. Or maybe considered cozy.
Very busy, but overall not too bad
Always love it, our kids have fun and love this movie theater
Awesome place to watch a movie but food is way to much money
Very convenient spot with no hassle!
Would be 5stars if the theaters were a bit cleaner.
I know where they can film season 4 of stranger things. Lol. Place looks like it should be attached to the 1980's mall in stranger things.
Needs an upgrade bad!
The only cinema in town, not the cleanest or most comfortable but still a deccent place to go if you don't feel like travelling into town
Theatre could use refreshing, for the price of admission they could Atleast fixup the popcorn stand appearance.
In need of updates! Seating is outdated. Cant wait to see if Woodstock gets a newer theater one with an arcade would be nice since not much else to do for date nights.VIP theaters would be a great fit here. ????
We saw Born in China which was interesting. We were the only people in the cinema which was nice. People are friendly.
Good night out, nothing fancy, just the movies. Noisy teens at times but overall it will depend on the movie you watch if you have a good time or not
Newest movies available, great snack bar
This is a great place to go with friends familys or by your self the food is great they play the biggest movies and its super cheap! The only reason I gave it 4 stars is that the seats are nasty sometimes.
Service was good.
The boys beside us got up and down all move long and they had to be 10 years old...
Awesome service here
Went to see Coco - great movie
More showtimes of the more popular movies
Small and older but still awesome!
Decent prices. Theatres are always fairly clean. Not the friendliest staff.
Clean place is always nice coming to watch a movie
Getting a bit long in the tooth, for prices they charge it is in dire need of a refresh. Often when choosing a theatre family and friends always suggest out of town as the screens and seating are small and dated.
Decent place to catch a flick.
I love that you hire new employees. Saw some kids I know working and Loving what they do. Seats were great service was great. All good in my books!
It’s ight
Drastically in need of a facelift throughout the theatre. Prices are too high for the atmosphere and comfort provided.
Clean and comfy and super helpful staff. Ask for Jacob
Love taking in a weekly matinee and supporting our local theatre. The team is great at customer service ????. Booking tickets and seats online is super easy.
Love this place. Awesome to bring the family and watch movies
Great place to go see a movie
Loved It and the new recliner seats are awesome. Much more comfortable
Awesome
Small town theatre
Wow great place to see a movie
Was good there were more options than the other theater we were gonna go to
Will never go back horrible theater
Smells like urine in theaters and hall. Unkempt bathrooms. Saw staff quite rude to older customer who didn't move as fast as they would like.
The only theater in town so there no compititon locally to keep prices down or warrant updates to the facility. It gets most of the blockbusters that come out. It's your standard no frills movie theater.
This is a classic theatre with smaller seats and screens. Compared to the big box theatres, tickets are cheaper, concessions are way cheaper, staff is friendly, and there are rarely lines. Most people from Woodstock drive all the way to London for the same movies, but I've always considered that foolish with a little gem like this right downtown. Locally owned and operated, too. Every time I'm in Woodstock I choose to support this place.
Great place, would b better if they added VIP section with alcohol beverages
Absolutely filthy! Popcorn all over the floor. Very dirty place. At 6pm we were told by attendant we couldn't come in til 6:20pm...in minus 14degrees. Think they might be cleaning the place? Guess not. We will not be back!
Its so little and quaint!
Good theatre; nice and clean. There's several screens (8 I believe) so there's a lot of choice in movies. The seats are decently comfortable. The best part is, every now and then they have toonie matinees on "slightly" older movies. Staff are always friendly. Sometimes the ticket lines can get long and go outside as the ticket area is right inside the main entrance. There was also one time when a new release that I was interested in didn't come to this theatre, for which I had to drive to Kitchener to watch. Beyond that, great place for movie entertainment in Woodstock. :)
Great place - follows all covid regulations. The drawback is very old and not comfortable chairs to sit for long time and screen is okn
It's great. Less money than the bigger multiplex theatre. Popcorn and candy way cheaper as well. It's a small theatre so it us a bit dated but I go for the movie not the wallpaper.
Good theater
Overall, it's a pretty good cinema. The food is a bit expensive, but that's to be expected at a theatre. The seats aren't comfortable.
Great prices, quick service
Good Local Cinema. We saw the latest blockbuster there. The theater was clean, the staff courteous, and the snack bar popcorn tasted freshly popped.
run down theatre but it does the job
Nice and cosy for our little town.
Supports segregation and discrimination. I hope they go bankrupt & regret the "I'm just following orders" line businesses owners keep spewing. #JustSayNo
Cute theatre, good prices and comfortable seating
Had a surreal experience here, theatre almost to ourselves. It’s a lovely little place, so much better than those massive movie palaces! The price is very competitive and I will absolutely be seeing all my movies here from now on.
The refreshments are cheaper than Cineplex by far. It's an adequate place to watch a movie.
Lots of current movie choices at reasonable prices. Nice friendly staff. Privately owned.
This is a tough review to rank and write properly. Galleria Cinemas is a small city, self owned and operated theater that has resisted being bought out. The theater hasn't been updated in almost 20 years and can seem like a dump. But it's still ok to catch a matinee or a last minute plan. If time and money was given to this place properly it would be a really great again.
Awesome....
Stadium seating which is nice. Seats are small.
Great place to take the kids
I love it here! Great prices and great movies! :)
Nice place. A bit dated
Needs updating, the lines always seem so long and you often find yourself standing outside in line for a movie. But you still get the great theatre experience
Great place for movies and nice staff
Great theater
This is the best small town theater around.
Good seats, comfortable. Lineup was quick but food is expensive.
Very gross and out of date
It was very busy when I went with my family so the service was very slow. The movie theater we were in was littered with old drinks and popcorn from the previous movie. I imagine it would've been better if it wasn't so busy. Prices at the concessions stand are pretty good compared to other movie theaters though. Overall not a bad place, I just wouldn't recommend going when it's busy.
Best theatre I have ever been to. Decent prices are unheard of. Looks like a hole in the wall from outside, but inside, it is massive and very nice. Looks like it should be servicing a community much larger than ours, so you have no lineups and all the room in the world.
Seats could be more comfortable. No other complaints.
Nice seats
Building is starting to show its age Donnickers were banjaxed when it.open in 1999.Agree it is dirty
Great place to enjoy a movie.
Not so clean.
This place is a disgrace... Broken down bathrooms filthy theatres and rude staff.
They need to invest in power washing carpets and seats...theaters are very smelly.
Clean all around Friendly staff Would love to see updates like one recliner seat theatre. Happy the vending and ticket areas are still staffed by people and not self serve kiosks
Took the kids to see ice ige ,it only cost 40 bucks for 3 tickets and food thanks it was a great time !!!
Movie was pretty good Avengers went with my grandkids and a lot of fun seats are little bit too small otherwise pretty good popcorn is average
Best place for date night ! ???????? love it !
Answer the phone
When you purchase advanced tickets you should be able to go right in instead of having to go through the ticketbooth when you get there. Picking up another slip of paper defeats the purpose of the purchase.
Decent small town theatre
Dirty old over priced
This is Woodstock’s only cinema. Yes, it’s old, small, and needs a facelift. But it’s never crazy busy, and the staff are friendly people. Consistent show times and decently priced concession items. Shabby but not excessively shabby.
terrible aroma
washed up.....
Needs more parking but a good little movie theater
better then I thought
Small theater for little city ,but clean good show
I've been going to this place since I was a little kid and it's wonderful! My only small complaint is that their salt n vinegar popcorn shaker tastes too much like dill pickle. Otherwise, wonderful experience
A little dirty but great theatre none the less
Simple small town theatre but usually pretty easy to get good seats. A little expensive for a non-updated theatre. Butter on the popcorn was disgusting though. It smelled funny and tasted worse.
Love this theatre, the staff are so nice!
Needs to be cleaned from top to bottom. Same grungy dirt on door handles and stair railings from year to year. You can definitely do better! C'MON
Nice theatre, parking close by. Could probably add a few staff to monitor the actions of the younger patrons that like to kick the seats and throw popcorn everywhere and generally be disruptive.
Smaller venue, smaller crowds, smaller screens, prices are comparable to larger facilities
Nice place to watch a movie. Wasn't crowded when I went. During covid during lock down mandate.
GREAT THEATRE
Had a great time at the theatre. Only drawback would be that there weren't enough people at the concession stand to take orders. They did their best though and were friendly and efficient. Very clean.
Wheelchair seating is too close to the screen, otherwise great
Great
A fine place to see a movie! The theaters are small but it does the job.
Dirty, smelly and rude staff Old carpet I think it’s never been cleaned Seats have holes uncomfortable Same crappy popcorn and sugared drinks Need a new theatre We drive to london or Kitchener for a cleaner better experience People put you garbage in the pail on the wAy out This is not your messy homes
Small town theatre feel. Wish more coupon deals were available.
Good theater. Not too busy, at least when we were there
Getting dated and could have better sound systems. But only theatre in town
Not to bad for a small cinema. Could use a good cleaning as the sears were damp and there was a cup stuck inside my daughter chair. Other then that not bad. Just like other places nothing special and no game zone.
Went and saw Dumbo. Cinema was clean! there is a few different movies playing
Good theatre, poor staff.
Place ok but could use some upgrading
Nice mom and pop place still has free refills
So outdated. Why not upgrade the cinema to a Cineplex to keep residents of Woodstock in Woodstock rather than going to London or Brantford
Great movie theatre, I love going here to see horror movies cause the theatre is usually empty. The popcorn is just okay but the price for the snacks are really cheap so whatever lol Tuesday is cheap night so I recommend going here then
You see motion pictures here!
Don’t waste your time or money at this cinema. I expected to provide my QR code for my COVID vaccine. I had the QR codes for my three minor children. I had my photo identification, but apparently was required to bring photo identification for my minor children as well. I was asked why I didn’t have my Canadian Passports for my three children. I didn’t realize that Gallery Cinemas was it’s own sovereign country. I am done with this place. I was prepared to drop well over $100 dollars on tickets and concession as I haven’t been to a cinema since before the pandemic. If I could give zero stars I would. Don’t listen to them whine when they go out of business. They are doing it to themselves. Save your money for the Oxford Drive-in. It’s a much better run business.
Theatre wasn't very full for a Friday night opening night for a movie.
Had great experiences the staff were lovely, their one staff memeber Carissa is my favourite????
Ok. The smaller rooms are very small indeed. Wheelchair seating very close to the screen.
Sucked so old felt dirty need to update badly
Place was clean and the staff was friendly. Would go again and share this place with friends..
Decent cinema
Good experience friendly staff
Took this little princess to see The Paw Patrol movie. We had a good time
Should upgradd to recliners .. And food prices are ridiculous
Price is too high for a dying pastime
Fun times
Spider Man: No Way Home - more like Spider Man: Send Me Home. I entered the theater with no idea what to expect. I left with the emotionless face of Tobey McGuire holding onto the last few strings of his acting career seared into my retinas. I see his blank face as a lay my head down to rest each night. I live my days in fear knowing that the day will come to an end, and I, again, will see his apathetic blue eyes staring back at me. Popcorn could've used a little more butter.
Always great
Good prices with many viewing cinemas, always get new releases in a timely manner
Good pricing for both the movie ticket and the food. Service is decent and the place is clean. Right now with covid they are doing good with keeping everyone separated. I'm doing 3 out of 5 stars because I'm a tall guy and with the seats being very tight I found it uncomfortable after about an hour and that is with only 1 person beside me (my guest).. I couldn't sit there if it was back to being a full theater.
Cute assistant manager. That’s it.
The Mule. Movie ok but love Clint Eastwood
This movie theater is still stuck in time. Down to their carpeting to their lighting. Went to watch a movie here. The sound quality is really bad. The screens are patchy and the air quality is in need of a humidifier. The seats are ripped up, the floors were sticky. The popcorn tastes old and extra salty. This is the only movie theater in town. So there is really no competition. Cheaper tickets though. But you get what you pay for.
Meh
Cheap popcorn and the latest films!
The place needs a good cleaning. Popcorn under the seats. Doors don’t open till 6:20. could at least have the staff clean up the floors. Place needs a major upgrade. Theatre is still back in the 90s.
Its local. Seats could be updated.
The theatre is very dated and maintenance needs to be done. 7 theatres is ok, but selection is limited as they don't get majority of films. Staff are there for a paycheck. They aren't personable or make you feel welcome or excited about your experience. Prices for concession items are reasonable and the popcorn is always fresh. Seats are ok, but again theatre is 20+years old so you are bound to find some not so cushiony
Brutal parking, grossly overpriced. For the money its worth driving to London or Cambridge. Only blockbuster movies last more than a few weeks. Many times great movies never even make it here.
Although it’s decor and operating procedures are dated, there’s almost a retro charm/vibe, it’s a great small town theatre, better prices then the cineplex’s in bigger cities, generally it’s clean, friendly staff and overall a good place too see a movie and not go broke!
It's kinda dated but it's all we got so it's fine
Good prices for movies, good popcorn. The theater is small so don't expect seating like the landmark or galaxy's but I think when you go there once you'll enjoy the atmosphere! Give it a true.
Local, nothing fancy, but a good place to see a movie
Getting outdated
Not a bad movie theater for a town theater.
Theatre was uncomfortable to sit in, felt like someone had opened the gates of hell and left it open, that's how hot it was in there, sitting in shorts and a t-shirt and sweating through a whole movie is not enjoyable. It was cheaper than heading to London, but I'd pay the gas next time to be comfortable while watching the movie. Overall I will not be returning as comfort trumps the cheaper prices.
Variety of movies. Good prices.
Dated theatre, seats are old.
No complaints except the seats are filthy. I know replacing them probably isn't feasible in a small town theatre. But they could at least give them a good clean. I couldn't wait for the movie to end because I couldn't wait to get out of the disgusting seat.
Starting to get a bit worn down, but if you aren't picky about reclining seats and I am screens then there's nothing to complain about.
Good food good movies lots of seating!
Just watched the movie "It" the surround sound and picture quality were awsome!! Good time
Less busy than other cinemas in the bigger city. Rooms are clean. Decent choices of movie. You get everything you need without the hassle. I enjoyed going here for movie night out.
The theater was nice and clean, but the seating was very uncomfortable, the seats were very small, like child setting and the drink holders were so far back that I finally had to set my drink on the floor just so I had some place to put my arms. There’s also no leg room, I’m not super tall only 6’1” but I couldn’t even put my legs straight out in front of me. When the movie first started I hung my legs over the chair in front of me trying to get comfortable but they soon feel asleep so I just kept them off to the side of me throughout the entire movie. And I don’t quite understand the no free refills on a large popcorn, all the movie theaters that I’ve ever been to offer that, you do have it on the large soda but I’d bet that most people don’t take you up on that very often. I travel all over the united states for work, over 250 days out of the year and I see a lot of movies. I normally enjoy the small town movie theaters but I have to say this one isn’t on the top of my list to return too. By the time the movie was over my neck and back were stiff from the position I had to sit in. My suggestion is to give those seats back to the airlines and replace them with real theater seating.
First time back after the pandemic. Big attempts made to protect us.
Doors open at 1130 am according to the sign. However they opened at 1215 pm for Star Wars to start at 1230. Pfft. First and last time. Rather drive to Kitchener
Great prices, good popcorn, great sound and projectors.
Great little independent theatre. Let's support the independents!
It wa a good experience but the seating needs to be up graded the chairs are hard to sit in when you have a bad back But it was a nice night and momma mia was excellent
Wonderful
Quaint theatre affordably priced without the big crouds. Definitely a do over.
In serious need of updates
Excellent service! The screens are perfect
Well used theatre. A bit messy. Okay otherwise.
Old but great place
