SO much fun! I didn't know they were open all week, year round. $12/adult and $5/kid under 12 (I think) is a great deal to see 2 movies that are still in theaters! They have 5 screens each with a different FM station for sound, concessions still open, and clean bathrooms. Find what's playing on their website or Facebook page. And this is a really good idea for cheap entertainment while easily staying socially distant from people not in your bubble. I'll be coming back VERY soon!

Joyce Ann Alfred, BA

The cashiers are always pleasant! The prices are reasonable and the concession/ food stand is convenient and reasonably priced as far as movie theater's go! And they're are a ton of GREAT restaurants right across the street: Sonics, Tim Hortons, Culver's and some other places.

This is THE destination for family, friends, and a night of movies under the stars with any company you choose. I have thoroughly enjoyed my experiences at the Ford-Wyoming since I was a child viewing films on actual film through the current times as an adult being transported to other worlds, observing the human condition with the sheer magic of motion pictures thrown from a digital projector. The family folks who run this theatre have always been kind, respectful, and accommodating...even more so during their re-opening amidst the pandemic. The Ford-Wyoming Drive-In is a landmark of Dearborn-Detroit, the purest if Michigan, encapsulating a bygone era while embracing the future of movies and delighting the present patrons with a double feature, exquisite concessions reasonably priced. This treasure of a place treats me like one of the family, and I always feel at home here. Please, $pend time at this beautiful place.

Had a great time seeing the movie Nobody. Like the new audio option. If you haven't been to the drive-in in a while. They've replaced those old audio boxes you hang from your window with now you tune to a particular local radio station that broadcasts the sound for the movie. Pretty cool. Overall great experience!!

Amanda Zimmer

Compared to when I have gone here in the past it is much improved. The people were very nice and courteous and everything was pretty clean. There was broken glass in quite a few of the spots you part in but I'm guessing it is hard to clean up when it is all in gravel. Concessions have been nicely upgraded but the food was a bit cold. During Covid they only allow one car parked every other spot, which is fine except they wouldn't even let people in the same household park next to each other. Overall it was a good experience.

Myles Aston

I don't like to leave a negative review but... there was one aspect that kind of wrecked our experience. I think it was theater 2, it appears ther radio transmitter is weak or broken bc there was a constant high pitched beep that came on turned back off, in a constant rhythm, through the whole movie. When we tried to call the main number to ask if there's a solution, all we got was the run down of show times. No customer service. How can this be fixed? Bc I'm not interested in ever coming back simply bc of it. Would be an awesome experience otherwise.

Robert Marchese

Can't believe I've never been to a drive in before. This place is absolutely incredible regardless of age! Can't wait to go back. There's nothing better than watching a movie in the comfort of your car.

Haley nixs

The service is always great and the staff is always so nice and helpful. This drive in theater always has the best selections of movies especially during the month of October and Halloween

davidkool20

We sat in line forever waiting on the lady to get off the phone to get the line moving when we got to the front of the line and I said something the other Three people that were standing there doing nothing got aggressive and rude because I said something about her being on the phone very horrible customer service would not recommend at all

Monica Alandt

Blast From the Past!!! I went as a lil lil kid and saw Grease 2 wile mom's and co. watched Wrath of Kahn! Otherwise it was many trips under a blanket in the backseat with friends and family heading to the "Mt. Clemens drive-in!" Ford theater is trying to keep it alive but of course it's a lil bit different than any of us vets of the Flintstone era! Tops of hoods, roofs, nearby tin can trailer park homes close enough to pick up the AM station. Walking thru the snack bar almost losing your shoes from sticking to the floor. Pooling our money to share a bag of chips and a drink ????. Finally, the infamous playground. Now completely off limits due to distancing and covid-19. I am so disappointed that my kids will never know how a Drive-in was such an awesome experience that can't compare. 4 not 5 stars?? I'll tell ya. At $12 a person (not vehicle) & 7 outta 10 movies were from the 80's & 90's I don't see the harm in switching screens if they start em at a predetermined time.

Adrienne

Best drive inn ever coming here as a kid and then working here as teen at 6-9 and going as an adult on a late night date this place still rock

Teya Tarver

Like good old times, it pays to order tickets off the site to avoid the line.

Tiffany Taylor

Love coming to the drive in with my son and husband so i can remember my dad that i lost in 2010.

Kourtney Rudolph

It had been a long long time. But I enjoyed myself. Nostalgic

Alan Yeeski

Overall a very good experience. Sound is great through your car radio. The picture is kinda dark however and definitely feels like a your watching a movie in standard Def. But I would still go again for a bright kid's movie.

DaMario Hopes

I love this place, went to see Spiderman, I fell asleep tho ????????‍♂️????

Queen of the Night

Wish they still had the old style speakers but regardless I love the drive-in

Rachel Deberry

Enjoyed a GREAT night out with my sweetie! Sunset at Belle Isle and movies at the drive-in! ????????

Olivia Gresham

They changed the pricing to $26 per vehicle when it was only me in the car and they weren't doing any double features.

Sugga Sweet

Perfect for social distancing!! They offer a double feature and a very nice booklet with all the information about the property. This is my family new hang out, old school feel with a modern twist.

Liz Matter

A very fun experience. The sound however is a bit of an issue. Now that the speakers have been removed you have 2 options. Neither is perfect. You can tune to the radio station assigned to your screen but most cars will have to remain running to make this feasible unless you bring an FM radio with you. The other option is to use the wifi through a wireless speaker but that has connection issues such as cutting out and sound not syncing properly with the movie. We went in the late fall so we knew everyone would have their windows closed so we didn't feel too bad letting the car run for a portion of the film but we might have to try to bring a radio next time.

Paul P

They have the most charming 60s era cartoon playing during the intermission advertising their food options and how long you have until the next movie. Great first experience at the drive in. Update: taking off a star. I don't blame the establishment for this, but bring cash or check. Last time I used my debit card I'm pretty sure the ticket person stole my card number.

Ebony Reddock

I hadn't been to this place in at least fifteen years but decided to take my teenage son there to watch a double feature of Halloween and Scream so he could get exposed to the "classics". He was amused at how we used to do things back in the day and how he could just see the other movies playing. And I remembered how fun the drive in could be. If you go expecting some high definition screen type experience you'll get your feelings hurt but for a good laid back time, can't beat it.

Dani

They were awesome! We got there early, not realizing their Halloween event was happening. My son got candy, everyone was great! Watched a movie. Then while watching the movie, they interrupted to say...stay for another. We orginally went for the 8 o'clock showing. Did I mention it was all free? We will definitely go back! Yes, we would even pay. Just like old times for us. Thank you! Wanted to trick or treat, but thanks to 2020, we didn't. Glad we found this. Great alternative! Happy Halloween!

Keith Newbill

It was great being there. Haven't been there in a long time. Me and my friend enjoyed our time there. Coming back soon

Marie 6

This was great for our family. To get out of the house and enjoy ourselves. Kids had a great time. The man walking around checking to make sure every car kept the distance, he is hilarious

Alexis Allor

We saw "Nobody" and "Wrong Turn". I was hooked, definitely going to purchase these when I can. The only downsides to seeing a drive-in, is they have no speakers so you have to tune in through your radio car speakers. I would recommend bringing a portable radio that way you don't drain your battery while watching the movie. The theater is pretty good about keeping on top of people with their lights on by reminding them to turn them off. It's just annoying until they get around to them. Also, most people smoke with their windows down so that's another annoying thing. Other than that, I love coming here!

Doris Anderson

I love going to the drive n! I dont remeber paying $12 for adults though! ???? would be a shame if they raised their prices during a time like this and especially considering they are playing OLD movies and two new released films!

Blake S

First time at a drive-In and we chose Godzilla VS. Kong and its like you step back into the 40's-60's era and I ABSOLUTELY love it! Would be better if they hosted car shows or did some type of 1940's-1960's theme. They show anything from classical movies to newly released movies.

William Anthony

Nice well kept drive thru staff was excellent reminded me of when I was a kid.

Shawnda

It was a great experience. We packed up the kids with snacks and enjoyed a double feature. A plus is you don't have to use their speakers. You can just turn to the corresponding radio station in your car to have better sound quality. The restrooms are also clean and well lit. The have all the typical theater refreshments too. This place is great for dates and great for a family.

Niesha C

I had a good time with my husband for my birthday.. went to see fast 9 will go here whenever we want to see the lastest movies! Even with our kiddos next time lol

Syncere Harris

You’d think by now they’d renovate. Feels like you’re pulling into a rundown trailer park. They should also warn everybody at the gate to have courtesy for others with their headlights. Also I remember you used to kind of park on a hill to tilt the car up a little bit them heels are like speed bumps now almost no longer existed.

Ms. Fox

Pros: all available theaters were operational, the sound quality was good and the base price was reasonable. Cons: there is a 49-cent surcharge for using a debit or credit card, they are not family friendly; all children's movies were paired with a horror movie. They had a port a potty but I couldn't find the restroom connected to the concession stand; it was too far away to be seen.

LilBirdie Yoga

Had a great time haven't seen it as crowded as it was in years

Alison frazee

***KIDS WALK HERE*** DRIVE WITH CAUTION! Family & a good Chill environment, with** food till 3am weekends, sometimes you got your big mouth peeps rarely , lol .... but the best security works here they are tight on issues or any problems they end in a second, *be first to say if there's a real problem & will be kicked out if you are the problem!! :) Remember ***KIDS AND TODDLERS WALK & PLAY HERE EVERYWHERE WALKING AROUND , DONT GET OUTTA CONTROL LIKED- BUZZED OR DRUNK AND DRIVE ITS A FAMILY PLACE ...KEEP CLEAN! PLZ WE WANNA KEEP THE DRIVE IN NICE ! GOD BLESS STAY SAFE -.Friendly neighborhood peep.

Dave Stafford

Lots of fun going to the drive in again! Miss the speakers, but sound is better in headphones anyway.

crystal thornton

I hadn't been to this place in years...last time I was asked to let them check my trunk. I was so offended that I almost left, but I was so thrown off, and with a line behind us I opted not to make a scene. We decided to chance it again, so we could be comfortable for the 3 hour Endgame. (I was prepared to give everyone a piece of my mind this time)! But the cashier was nice....even though he had to go find a working credit card machine. To my grateful surprise, the bathroom was pleasant and clean. There was even an attendant sitting in there (I'd return for this reason alone). The radio signal had some very low static during the movie....not a deal breaker, but noticeable. The screen was decent quality as well. All in all, the price was worth our experience. Glad we gave them another shot.

Kal Lindstrom

My son drove us to see the last Daniel Craig Bond movie. A Time to Die. Really wanted to see it on a big screen and it's well worth it. Any action movie imma going back to see here! It's So Fun to be listening through your own speakers an the whole car vibrated on the base notes. Plus u can scream pretty loud an not bug your neighbors! Take a carload, you won't regret it. Big Plus- the Fries an Burgers are Good And the bathrooms are Very clean. I recommend to all, get that drive-in fun experience while we are getting such super fall weather. Big Screen Wow????

Shanae “The Poet Rah” Riser

I'm here at least once a week. I love it! I feel safe & it's always clean! I just wish they would change the movies more.

Keiana Thorns

Been coming here since I was a kid. Now I bring my kids and WE love it. It always a GREAT VIBE‼️

Tara Spearman

Been coming here since the 80s My first movie there was purple rain. With in a 2 weeks time I seen candyman, protégé, don't breath, shung chi, and enjoyed me and my husband each and every time. Will be checking out hopefully HALLOWEEN KILLS ????????????

Steve Shannon

I drive a 26' Box truck with a sleeper, I needed to make a delivery the next day, they let me pay the $10.99 and directed me through the exit [Because my truck was too tall for the entrance] so I could watch the movies and told me I could stay all night as long as I wanted And they had restrooms and food They have 5 different screens and double features on most or all of them the 1st feature plays twice so you can go between the 5 different theaters watch the 1st feature on one and the 2nd feature and then go to another 1 and watch the 1st feature on Another screen so if you do it correctly you can watch 3 features it was an awesome experience I slept there after everyone else left and made my delivery the next day They were very friendly and Helpful Will definitely return

1 STOP SHOP

They just upped the price to 26$ per vehicle it’s a cool lil vibe in there so I technically can’t blame them, it was a 100 cars waiting in line to get in

Brad Bowman

Good screens and projector quality. The screens are high enough that you don't have to worry about cars in front of you getting in the way. Did not visit concession stand. Lots of space at each screen though I would recommend getting there early at least in 2020 post(mid?) Covid as it has become very popular and there was a line of cars to get in.

Prudhvi vahan

Great place to have a relaxing time. Staff was good. Can improve check in lanes, had to wait about 20 minutes and lost a part of the film.

Tina Strickland

We had a pretty good experience overall. There were a few kids there partying and not watching the movie. It was fine They were not bothering anyone. The bathroom was amazingly Clean! Popcorn was very good. You had to tune to a channel on the radio to listen but for some reason the sound was terrible. Maybe it was my speakers...Like I said overall is was a good experience. I got to watch a movie during Covid19. Also they run a very tight ship! Good job guys!

Christine Bey AllRightsReserved

I've been coming here with my family when I was younger, and I enjoy it even moreso as an adult... I love the nostalgic feeling of going to the drive-in movie theater...

ThaHazeyOne

Been coming here since I was a small child. Now I get to bring my children. It seems that they've cleaned it up quite a bit and are doing pretty well following covid guidelines. The only large screen experience I know about thats playing newer content. Just saw New Mutants September 5 2020

Derrick Phillips

Great place! Just like I remember as a kid. No more drive in's near Chicago so the visit to Detroit was awesome!

Bryce A

The experience was amazing! When I want there today QuicknLoans was paying for everyone's tickets which was very nice, it was for a sponsorship which was very nice of them. As it is the pandemic currently they are doing an outstanding job at enforcing mask wear. The workers at the front were really kind and helpful to make sure we got to our theater. The people at the concession stand we're very nice and they had really good food and beverages. They had a big selection of movies having 8+ movies to choose from. I highly recommend this place to go to during the pandemic, anytime for that matter.????⭐

Steve Wauschek

Great place for the whole family, I enjoyed coming here as a kid and continue to come back

Ingrid Moran

I went with my friends and it was a lot of fun. the audio was messed up tho and it kept cutting out. Still had fun with my mates

Claudia Anderson-Jones

Great place for a action or scary movie. Sound and quality great. Staff on point and nice.

Tracy Getcy

It was very hard to get into lots of traffic we was an hour late for the movie because of it we stayed for the double feature the snacks were way far away people that did work there don't listen when you order so that was a problem it was fixed was ok not sure if we would return

Jackson T

I've been coming here for years and I'm glad it's having a resurgence. The lots have been redone with new gravel and when you drive into your spot they have a small hill so you can see the screen better. The window speakers are gone (prolly better for COVID safety anyway) and the spaces are bigger. Plus the projectors are digital and are brighter now! Btw call the box office if your battery dies, they're super helpful and have a jump box. 5 mins and you're on your way!

Jeff L.

Going to an old school drive in is great and reminds me of being a kid. Plus you cant beat watching 2 movies for the price of one. And they are bringing back some good older movies.

Karena Benford

Easy to purchase tickets (per car) online. Multiple screens- large and clear screens. Current movies. Lots of space for parking. Open year round!!

Stephanie K

It was great being able to see old movies or movies at all. It was a weekday, so not many people. The radio station was low through my car, so we linked it through the phone, which had a delay. Other than that, pretty good experience.

Noah Gurgul

Love this place! Easy to find, always the new movies, and no confusion on where to go when finding your movie. Please visit! Keep the drive-in alive!

FriedChicken

Fun places for family, couples , friends, whoever to watch a movie especially during the pandemic. Movies are $12 per person . Screen is kinda dark but the sound is clear. There is a sonic and tim Horton near by so grab your hot food and go watch a movie They could update the place a little though.

Diane Klungle

Great movie-going experience. I will definitely go here again. Absolutely no complaints.

Vyral Wolf

My parents brought me here more times than I can count. Now, I'm bringing MY kids. Everything's different...but still feels the same. ????????

Visa C

Great place to take the kids and family. The kids really liked the whole experience and asked to go again. We wanted to get some popcorn and pop, but the line was long and moving pretty slow. Only 2 ppl at the counter. I would definitely try it again

Mike Kirouac

Great place to see a movie. Audio through your vehicle sound system. Very family friendly and safe place. Concession stand has excellent food and popcorn. Bathrooms very clean. I highly recommend.

In Christ

Excellent experience! Everyone and everything was peaceful! Love watching the bigscreen on the outside. Plus it's fun when you make it into a picnic of sorts by bringing food, snacks, etc for in the car. Staff goes around periodically to make sure car headlights are off and to do a general check which is good. Thank God for the drive-in during this pandemic! Can't wait to go back!

YaYa

I am 54 been going to drive-in since my childhood. I took my children & now I bring my grandkids. The bathrooms are always clean. There are several movies to choose from (although theaters 7-9 are no longer open☹️) there is still enough variety. There are 2 movies for the price of one. There is a little playground area with swings for the kids. For the money it's a great family putting or even a couple's night out. The only reason I left a star off is the box office staff at times seem a bit aggressive or tired not sure which

David P

Pretty expensive, picture quality is poor in dark scenes. Projectors need brighter bulbs or something, could barely see picture at 11 at night.

Nina Beana

We came there for the Addams Family 2/Beetlejuice double feature with my 3 year old and my mom. Neither one of them had been there before. They had a great time for the most part. My daughter is still talking about it and it's been a couple of weeks! Just a couple points to add: You can bring your own food in! We brought pizza, bread sticks, and popcorn. It's nice to have that option. They also have a snack bar in case you don't bring anything. The "listen anywhere" app that they want you to download didn't seem to sync with the movie, always being about a second or two behind. Or it would disconnect randomly. I won't fault the drive-in for their guests, but be aware that there are people that just don't care about others and will either leave their lights on, let their kids run wild around the parking lot screaming during the movie, or people with their lift gates all the way up to obstruct others' site of the movie. There aren't employees anywhere to manage those people (nor should they have to if everyone shared a little respect for others). It did take away from the total experience but we still had a good time.

Lauren Reed-Gibson

We saw American Skin and Judas and the Black Messiah tonight! Adults were $12 per person, children under 12 are $5. Great selection of movies offered! The clerk was polite! We didn't get stuck in the snow on the lot either! Ford-Wyoming will ALWAYS be a traditional staple in our family!!!

Patricia Thomas

I enjoyed the movie that was my first time ever and 65 years of going to a drive-in movie I didn't know you didn't have the boxes anymore you have to tune in on your radio to get the volume of the movie the roads lead something to be desired lot of potholes I think they make enough money pave or gravel the yard so Drive slowly cuz you got a lot of pot holes

Daryl Royal

The movie itself was great, with picture and sound much improved from my last visit (some time ago). But arrive early, especially if you want concessions before the movie, and don't park near the concession stand or you'll have a lot of traffic around you.

Amanda Staples

I love that all the parking spots are a good spot! Every movie we have seen has been so great’ thanks for continuing this wonderful tradition! We love the drive in!

Marianna Jurado

This place is great for a covid safe experience! The screens are placed perfectly and the sound sounds amazing! Would definitely recommend this place to friends and family.

Zanita Williams

Haven’t been to the drive-in in years and i Went here to see Halloween Kills, perfect horror movie for it! Service was quick and they make you tune the radio to hear the movie. Volume comes through clearly and is perfectly lined up with the movie. The only issue I had was a gross sewage smell wafting through.

Abigail Israel

Early showings are more crowded. Very family friendly. Bathrooms were porta Johns so we did not use.

Autumn Blanchard

Took a childhood memory and made it an adulthood must have! This will be our new date night for a while. We came right at showtime and lots of cars were in line and yet there was a streamlined process for getting folks in and settled before the start of the movie. I really appreciated them taking all the Covid-19 precautions...the cashiers had face shields checking us in at the ticket booth and they even had a bathroom attendant outside the restrooms enforcing mask wearing and use of the "in" and "out" doors. When a car had their lights on they even had someone patrolling the area advising folks to turn lights out so that it wouldn't impact the viewing of the screen. The only thing I would have management take a second look at is that they had automatic faucets and a soap dispenser that were finicky. Great job Ford Wyoming Drive-in!!

Shanell Day-Brazil

Need a more expedited ticketing process. We even bought out tickets online and still had to wait in a line for over an hour because people were cutting. Line didn't move until police came and directed traffic. We would have left if ee had not already bought tickets. Missed 30 minutes of movie.

Fun and Games

We pre-purchased our tickets online wayyyy before we knew anything about the weather and drove all the way there for them to cancel the movie due to weather without even saying anything to anyone. We found out by looking online once we realized the movie wasn't starting. We spent almost $50! They better supply a refund for this cause we can't predict the weather several hours in advance, especially when it wasn't even that bad.

Ay'ana Gaddies

I love it here ???????? I've started coming here at least twice a month since the summer last year and it's been such a nice escape during this pandemic. I love that they show something old and something new, get a fun little throwback. The bathrooms are so clean and well-lit, not how I was expecting at all.

Marsha Sanders

This is THE destination for family, friends, and a night of movies under the stars with any company you choose. I have thoroughly enjoyed my experiences at the Ford-Wyoming since I was a child viewing films on actual film through the current times as an adult being transported to other worlds, observing the human condition with the sheer magic of motion pictures thrown from a digital projector. The family folks who run this theatre have always been kind, respectful, and accommodating...even more so during their re-opening amidst the pandemic.

Ms Blue #BlondeAndBlueGirl

Oldest drive-in in the country. I love this place. COVID has changed the prices and you no longer get 2 movies. Also now you get charged per car instead of per person in the car. Still worth it for a covid safe night out

Rene Kadoo

Great experience for a drive-in movie! Went to a horror double feature during a night showing and it was great. They also have 2AM showings which I could imagine would be more fun for a horror movie. Will go back.

Ms. Henderson's Life Skills Class

Memorable experience! I hadn't been in years, and my grandchildren had NEVER been to the drive in! However, it was a new experience for us all because I was used to the speaker you hang on your car window...NOW you listen via an app on your phone! Wow! This is a memory my grands will cherish and share with THEIR children! The staff were friendly, patient, professional and courteous! Concession staff were professional, chipper and on point. Talk about Respect! Yeah, that's what we watched! ????

John Taylor

The drive in is a throwback to the past. With multiple screens to view younwill have nothing but a good time. Because of covid the window speakers are no more and you just have to tune in to the appropriate radio station for the screen you are viewing. The facilities are clean but outdated. It has typical movie theater prices for the concessions. The popcorn doesn't ever seem to be fresh or hot. The wings are run of the mill and decent. One of the screens seems to be a bit older than the others and so it doesn't seem to be as clear. Normally there's only 2 lanes open so getting into the theater is quite a bit slow if it's busy but not normally too bad of a wait if any on a regular day. If you ever want to see a double feature and it's kinda late, the ford drive in should be considered.

Atoiya Kelly

Love this place! Old School Vibes! Great for dates or solo date! Snacks, blanket, and privacy!

Katie “Princess”

Have an Awesome every time I come. I took My Niece and Nephew, 6 and 4, and they absolutely loved it! They were so impressed with the huge screen, and chillin in the back of the car. I was so happy when I found about this place. I love stuff like this, like things they did or are from back in like My Grandparents day. All around I think. This is just super awesome and such a great idea.

Detroit L Boogie

Great place 2 chill and watch a good flick!! I'm be back Soon! Lol

David Wooten

Screen 2 is no Bueno. Lights from the neighboring business shine onto the screen also when you pull in the driveway DO NOT take the right lane it is the slowest

Jason Greifenberg

Great entertainment. Enough distancing from the other vehicles.

Janice Dickerson

Clean bathrooms ???? clean movie area enjoyed being out. Watched Respect Aretha Franklin ????

Tonika Williams

My god daughter had a blast for Halloween at the drive inn she was all smiles, loved the hot dogs, popcorn and pink lemonade

Luis Francisco González

Thanks to the pandemic, this was my first trip to a movie in six months and I couldn't have been happier. Despite the obvious benefits of sitting in your own vehicle, the on-site facilities/concession area are also exceptionally clean and well maintained and at no point did anything feel like a health risk. The staff was helpful and all wearing masks properly (no "chin straps" with noses and mouths still exposed.) Not only will I continue to visit but will strongly recommend it to everyone I know.

Shannon Johnson

This was my first time, the sound was a little offset but it was ok, the food at the concession stand was nasty! I Definitely suggest bringing your own good.. all I'm all it wasa good experience..

Krysta Ogletree

We have (2) drive in locations here in a metropolitan Detroit area. Somehow; I love this location. As of August 26, 2020 the pricing is $12.00 per person. this location is very functional. There's a gas station outside of the drive-in just in case you burn a little too much gas????. And, there's also casual dining restaurants across the street on Ford Rd. Which are definitely open very late.

H M

Love this drive in theater. It’s a historical location and a rare find. It’s spacious and I’ve had great experiences here. I haven’t been here in a few years, and would say the speakers that viewers put in their cars could be updated- that is if they haven’t been already.

Samantha Mcnamara

They took the speakers out they will let you rent a radio but it's really not loud enough and you really cannot see the screen like it's to wore out very disappointed used to be there every weekend hope they improve it again otherwise I am doing going

Kevin Taylor

It was a very fun experience. Very unique in this day and age. Screen quality is obviously no high definition, but going to a drive in is just as much for the experience than the movie. As long as you aren't looking for an HD movie experience, I would highly recommend this theatre. Plan on going back to see some Halloween classics this season

tricia smith

Movie was clear and came thru speakers very clear. Will be returning, snacks were nice could have been better but wasn't there for the snacks. My car bar had died and they was fully prepared to help jump start the car for me. Thank you again for everything.

james barmore

I haven't been to the Ford theater since I was a kid. I've since moved to California and was home visiting. I'm so glad it's still here and showing movies. It feels like a literal time capsule and gem to go to only here in Michigan. Concessions were nice, keeping the old building aesthetic, I can't help but think of all the life throughout the years that's come through here. I'm so glad I came and saw a double feature tonight. ✨????????????????????

Justin

We genuinely enjoyed the experience, we could sit in our own vehicle, take our shoes off turn on the radio and watch the movie, my only gripe is the lax attitude to patrons running their headlights, every half an hour or so someone who is unable to sort out their headlight controls turns there car on and off. When the weather is mild it's hard to beat and it's safer for everyone to avoid the Corona.

Michelle Reed

Brings back so many memories I'm happy and grateful this gemstone is still available to our community

I enjoyed my time here. very straight-forward directions once you're inside. folks need to read the directions and turn off their lights during the movie. other than that, everything was smooth—even leaving to get home.

Jasmine Steele

The staff welcomed my friends and I politely and gave clear instructions on where to go. For the price of the tickets, you get to drive up with a good view of the screen from lots of angles and the show times and movies are all either new or classic older movies. You can easily bring your family, friends or pull up alone to watch and go. I'd highly recommend for the novelty experience of drive-in theaters, also for social distancing experiences. Getting out is fairly easy, it could be helpful to have more signs or lights, but that could take away from the movie viewing quality. -getting out isn't really that hard, but for anyone's first time might be confusing at first.

Ken Whittaker

Been going for over the decades. Bring your own food and snacks. Concessions are a RIPOFF. Park close to the screen as the brightness is low.

Chela Coates

This place is amazing! Found it last summer, went three times. Went back last night and it's still the best drive-in theater ever. I love being able to sit in my car and watch movies like that in the privacy of my own vehicle! So happy this place is open for me and my family to share wonderful memories with!

Shanay Whittaker

Nice place to go for a drive-in. The food is terrible. Bring your own food.

Kimberly Hudson

Man comin here sure did bring bac some fun memories! I brought my Son here to experience this gem, he thought it was too cool. It still has the ole school flavor, but very clean and kept, I was very impressed. The consession stand offered more than i could ever imagine it was fast and the staff was nice and friendly. You could tune in from your car or use the speakers provided, (the same speakers, but they still work!). My Son wants to return and so do I. It was a perfect evening to go, it rained a little, but didnt last long, oh yea and we saw some good flicks to with clear vision and sound....#detroitchik @ #fordwyomingdriveintheatre

Stephany Ross

Love this theater! Best place for a movie, plus great location. Only issue is ppl may leave their headlights on, but the theater can't control that.

Will Schaefer

The actual movie experience was super pleasant, but getting to it wasn't. They say arrive on time, but even getting there 5 minutes early was not enough to avoid missing the first few minutes of our movie. The box office lines are chaos. People are constantly cutting from the street, almost causing accidents. There was an express online ticket line that went unused? And the workers were moving slowly. Just be honest and tell people they need to get there like 15 to 20 minutes early to guarantee they won't miss part of the movie.

Carrië Caketon

Drive all the way here to find out if the anime they have is in English or Japanese because they didn’t post it but have an English trailer on their site. The booth person told us it’s in Japanese so we left and wasted the trip. My friend went today and said it’s in English and now I’ve lost out on seeing it and wasted a trip for nothing when I could have enjoyed the movie if I was informed correctly.

Timothy Mills

Love it here only I go to watch movies

Ruby Gates

I loved the renovations, especially updates to restrooms with staff present and ease of getting into theater. However getting out requires patience. Some people just don't know how to alternate. Other than exiting. Good night out.

NYKITA Campbell

The concession stand was nice and clean as well as the restrooms.

Donald Addison

Had fun with me and my wife went to watch Candyman it was great surround sounding your own truck sitting there eating what you want to eat drinking what you want to drink smoking what you want to smoke

Otis Rogers

One of the last drive in's in the United States. Plays through the car radio. Half time show still looks like it did when I was a kid. Best place for a date night

Doc Dre

This has always been my go-to spot on Fridays..but... Now $26.00 per car... I always come by myself so 26 just for me... I'm not feeling that..

Tara V

Good pop corn, big screens lots of spots. Sound quality wasn't great, and sinks in women's bathroom didn't work. Also people driving around after the movie starts with headlights on was terrible! Overall, I would go again!

Keysha Bey

I will never go on a Friday they be packed. Sunday & mondays smooth flow???? .

JaVonn “Jaye Bar” Barber

Still like I remember from my childhood. Nice and clean and clean screen.

Robert-James Johnson

Haven't been to a drive-in since I was around 5 and this brought back great memories. Being able to watch 2 movies, in the comfort of your car and not having to worry about being too loud is amazing. Only complaint is the men's restroom had only one working faucet, which made using the restroom and little longer since there was a line to wash hands. Besides that, would highly recommend for anyone who wants to experience a blast form the past and try something new.

Robert Mcalkich III

Really enjoyed taking a date there and although it was like $27 for us to watch the movie it still is probably cheaper than going to the movie theater and you can now tune in the voices of the program right on your car stereo or on your cell phone so it comes in really clear and it comes in consistently for all to hear , and you can keep the windows closed to stay nice and warm. It was pretty cold tonight that we went in almost snowing but you will never know it’s sitting in the truck watching the movie it was a pretty wonderful experience

Jeremy Fallis

Went on Monday after Christmas so it was pretty empty. Kids loved the movie. Only drawback was the unpaved lot which was pretty gross from the snow to get to the bathrooms, but it's the only complaint.

Ian Anderson (Wülf)

I used ta work here. I LOVED workin' here!!!!! Hopefully I'll be back some day!! But with er without me, there have been so many great changes!! Such as, the new digital marquee, two 4k projectors, the newly paved entrance, and the new "by car" pricing! Clown Cars accepted. Lol Sincerely yours, The Hoodbilly, Head Sneaker Catcher

michele baker

They need more people working at the concession stand and maybe just a bigger concession area. Other than that everything else was good and we had an enjoyable experience.

Smash Gems

Went to see the new quiet place and for about a hour, all we could see was neon bright headlights bouncing off our window into our eyes. The movie was decent but could have started it a lil later when it was dark, but the restrooms were clean.

Chavonte Clemons

Awesome place to be at night for the movie night wish they had better and brighter screens for the movie but awesome place????????????????????????????

alyce Fowlkes

The drive in has changed a lot since I was younger. They don't have the individual speakers but you can rent them for $20. You now have to put your car radio on a certain station to listen to the movie. We arrived late which wasn't too bad because the first movie really didn't thrill me. Lol. My only complaint was the restroom set-up. There were port o potties., Yuk. . I just wish that the restrooms and the refreshment area was better detailed instead of just a map that you're looking at in the dark because you're in a drive in. I had to walk through a very rocky area to get to the restroom and of course I got lost going there and coming back trying to find my car. Lol. Otherwise it was enjoyable

Jessica Parham

If I could give these guys 100 stars I would. I hadn’t been here since I was a kid. Due to Covid We haven’t gone to movies in over a year. (Being huge movie fans it’s been rough) We came here for a promotion for a WWE Documentary. As soon as we got to the entrance gates the staff were so friendly. The bathrooms are very clean! And they are do a great job of enforcing social distancing. Will definitely be back soon!!

Angela Wiggins

Clean everybody's social existed plastic covers cover everything plastic barriers between food customers and cashiers everything was nice and on point and clean.

Stacia Cook

I absolutely LOVE Ford Wyoming Drive In. The one star is only because I go to the movies alone. I am not paying 26.00 to see any movie. I'll miss going but that's ridiculous for one person. Two, ehhh, fine. One? No. Guess I'm reduced to watching a movie on my iPad in my truck if I want the outside ambiance.

Anthony Bryant

I like the way they have it set up now where is $26 a car does it matter how many people is in the car if it's 1 or 10 the snack bar is pretty pricey but the service is good peace and love

Tyler Daysrping

I kind of miss going to the drive-in. I just don't like watching movies that are filmed with a lot of dark scenes because it's hard to see and sometimes people can't seem to leave their lights off. I'm glad they are open. I fail to understand why the police wouldn't close the golf courses but they made sure the drive-in stayed closed.

Pamela Duff

The food at the concession was terrible especially for the rediculus high prices... The nacho and cheese tasted like cardboard the tiny slush had no flavor. For the prices they really need to do better and Have better quality food items. I understand trying to make a buck but wow.

Monster Margie

Best driving ever!!!!! So much space I hang out there all night whenever I go to the drive-in movie so much fun customer service people are so funny they will ignore you until it's time to come in between 8:00 and 9:00 until it's time to come in they will sit right there and act like they don't see you so funny drive-in theater is awesome in the food is good too especially the popcorn!!! Thumbs up

Andy Guon

We love seeing movies at the drive-in!! We appreciate that the bathrooms are very clean & well taken care of. We were very disappointed with the service we had at the concession stand. It was so slow & we missed the start of our movie the last time we were there!!

Tonya Bellamy

Had a really nice time!! It had been years since I last visited and the upgrades were awesome. The playground needs some help, but otherwise all was good

Janisha Anderson

Enjoy my self n watch a good movie I love it .would go back any day.

Kenneth Murray

I would say our experience was as good as it could be , considering we were at a drive-in . A drive in is more about the experience than the actual quality of the experience the picture was a little faded and the sound was a little rough but I will say the Ford Drive-In people try to help with that as much as they could they have radios available for a $20 deposit this helps when the car you are in has to be restarted every 10 minutes or so because the battery supposedly was dying

Jeffrey Farell

Beautiful facility. You can come early and watch the sunset, or show up for late movies that don't start until after 2 AM on weekends. Large concession area and clean restrooms. I've never had a bad experience here.

Synnia Williams

Enjoyed the double features. Concession stand prices were reasonable but they were slow and backed up getting the orders out. I only ordered a large popcorn and after waiting about 10 mintues I went to another window and asked who was responsible for making the popcorn and the young lady made it for me right then, else I would've been still waiting. The bathrooms were pretty decent for all the people that was there. Watch out for the potholes!! Overall, I enjoyed myself. Waiting on something new and good, so we can go back.

panther2009ful

Me and my husband truly enjoyed our experience at the drive-in! We hadn't been in years! Loved using the app instead of the headphones......the drive in has made good changes. We will definitely be returning!

jfrom Dedbydezine

I've been coming here for 20+ years and its always been great. Whether I'm sitting in my truck, in lawnchairs or on a mattress in the truck bed - The Ol' Ford/ Wyoming is my favorite place to watch movies.

Marcquis Mitchell

Favorite place from when I was a child, good to see they're still in business. While I didn't get to hit the concession stand, ticket prices were fair. $12.50 for adults $13 if by credit $5 for children. Audio is available through your car radio for your movie, and depending on which screen will dictate which station you tune to. They also have radios available for a $20 deposit (return the radio, get your money back)

Robin Tuner

Had a goodtime even though it rain on and off but we did get a chance to see the movie l hadnt been to drive in more then 30ish years lm glad it updated clean and nice ????????

Matthew Isopi

Always a blast to come here. Prices are good, and the sound quality is great. Good rule of thumb is to always walk around with shoes on since you likely won't see any glass on the ground. Definitely bring blankets and pillows, and any snacks you want if you're not in the area with the concessions stand. My one caveat is that as of June 29th 2020, they're packing cars in and not following their "one car every other space" rule. I would hope they would be better about it, but if you don't leave your car at all, I suppose it's not an issue for you.

R Ivey

What is there not to love about the Ford Drive In. It's a great place to go for a family outing, and relax. The Ford Drive In, has been around for generations. My mom went as a child, I loved this place as a child, and now I'm taking my child and we had a great time. Staff are COVID-19 compliant. Restrooms are clean and the best part is you can bring your own food and have a great time.

Winter Sisson

The staff is very nice, they've taken easy and amazing steps to help prevent the spread of this pandemic, and movie quality is awesome. The only thing that bothers me is the flood lights surrounding the entire plot of land, from industrial companies and their parking lots.

Melvin Johnson

The lady was sitting on the phone the whole time Talking while we trying to get in the movie there before it starts I would not recommend this place allow their customer service and women say something about it the other employees got aggressor well maybe defensive

george peterson jr

Movie screen was kind of dark theater #3. Too dark

Monique Wilson

They've changed a lot of things and the speakers are not there anymore. And on top of that I couldn't hear the movie for the most part. Cause they have it to where you gotta use Wi-Fi now. And also they've gone up on the prices for everything. Won't be going back no time soon.

Ladawn Craig

I enjoyed going to the drive-in the only thing I didn't like was the ticket lady was wearing her shield on her head with no mask on her face leaning into cars taking /exchanging cash and tickets. With everything going on you would think she would be covered up. She could possibly be spreading covid to every person that pulled up to her prior to entering the drive-in.

Will J

It reminds me my childhood ???????? ~ I love going, l'm an Adult now.

Roz M

It was a great exp. Have not been there since I was a child. It was a great way to social distance and still be social. Great movie, great service. Sound was amazing!!!!

Kawasaki 1

Great drive in experience!!!!! The concessions take an extra minute but the Popcorn and food is good!!!!! The staff is very receptive and friendly!!! Look a little short staffed so thank you for working and treating the movie goers great!!!!!!! The staff also makes sure no one has lights in your rear window....Just wish they had fountain MT Dew????????

Practice makes perfect Productions

Nice place. Would of.got a 5 star but the driving part is confusing, to get to and from the snack bar I'm pretty sure I was going the wrong way. But the staff were very nice and wearing masks. Movie was good and you could hear it crystal clear on the radio. Will definitely be back. :)

IKON Lewis

Great way to enjoy a movie on a date or with the family and stay safe from Covid. You get to sit in the privacy of your own vehicle, bring your own food and drinks and relax. Radio sound system works great although it doesn't have the nostalgic speaker box anymore. You may have to be careful with making sure kids stay focused on the movie and not what's going on in other cars though. ???? Lol

Tweet Tweet

The popcorn was very tasty.. we enjoyed the movie as well

Sandra Mojica

Super convenient to catch a movie right now, during this pandemic. Very friendly and organized service. My battery ended up dying on me after the movie, I called the box office and they came to my rescue within 2 minutes and gave me a jump!

Robert Brennan

Great place bit over priced on concessions eat or grab food before you go

Kristy Holt

A military man and his mother sat in line for a hour . after he has been gone on duty for 2 years and was turned away even though he would have waited for the next show.. he was told no to leave and go back in line and start over again.. vary sad.. he just wanted to see a show with his mother.

DEAN ROMANSKI

The place was old but everything was good, the bathrooms were clean and the food at the Concession stand fresh. I enjoyed the movie!

Jane Foraker

Here's what you have to put up with.. People come for one movie. When that is over they all drive and change theaters so y9uhave lights shining in your face and then they leave the lights turned on in front of you . even though you paid for the movie your watching and they didn't. Now its ruined for you . they park right in front of us!! It sucks!!

Diane Brown

Terrible reception for the movie couldn't hear hardly at all they need a clearer radio station for the movie sound. For the price they charge they need a better surround sound. Or better fm reception.

Nancy Weymers

Bathrooms are redone is alot better the only problem is people don't know how to turn off their lights

william malletman

Enjoyed watching the movie, but you might want to consider bringing your own food. The concession stand is indoors and no one was social distancing. Was forced to not buy any food or drinks.

Racquel Wallace

I enjoyed the both times I went there this year after Covid. Depending on the what you're going to see, sometimes you can get three movies instead of two.

VC W

I love the drive in! No more window speakers. The sign is now digital and exits are better maintained. They don't stay open as late and the prices have gone up. Same intermission reel...it's cute, the first couple of times you've seen it, then it gets a little annoying lol. It would be nice if they stayed open all year. Other than that...it's great!

Jmo Mo

one of the best places to be just seen suicide squad movie was clear lot was clean

Dawn Booth

Theater 1 is terrible. It's dark and you can't hear the movie's. But I love going there. And it could be a lot cleaner, especially outside.

Brenda Perry

The experience would have been great if people would have turned off their lights all of the cars in front had lights on their tail lights and headlights on if you have a stigmatism you're not able to see the screen. Also their app is glitchy so if you're trying to listen to the sound through a phone that does not work. Other than that I still think it's a great place to take a family I just wish they would enforce the headlight and tail light rule

Kristen B

Who doesn't love a classic drive in movie! The Ford Drive In Theater is a classic staple for the community. The price for an adult ticket when we went last night was $10.99. My only negative feedback would be that the speakers that they provide did not allow for the volume to go up too high. I struggled to hear the movie with their equipment so I had to leave my car running and use my radio. Other than that, always a great experience.

Marshelle Beebe

DO NOT go here on a weekend night. We sat in a 1/2 mile long line for over an hour to get into their parking lot. People were sick of waiting in line and started cutting in front of others. There were several road rage incidents. I saw an accident. We finally got into the drive in at 10:10 pm. The movie was well underway. A complete WASTE of $30.

Chawntay Edwards

Had such a great time! I haven't seen a movie the whole pandemic. This was a safe fun activity. My only problem is our showtime said 7pm initially on the website so when we arrived early at 6:30 and waited around until about 7:15 I decided to check the site again and it said 8pm. So we waited a while for our show to start. Idk what the error was.

ron wertman

First time at this drive in and had a great time. Bathrooms clean people where respectful and food was good. We came 20 min early so parking was easy. Good deal for 2 movies will return when new movie arrive.

Heavens Shelf

I've been going to the Ford drive-in since it was the Ford Wyoming driver-in. Now it is one of my favorite places to take my daughter.. The bathrooms are recently remodeled, and you get to see two movies for the price of one.

Marcel Pearl

Classic drive-in movie experience. My screen was really dark, I could barely see the movie.

thomas calm

First time at the drive in in more than 20 years.. My kids absolutely loved it. Only downfall was the speakers weren't working but you can rent one if needed

Kris Trewhella

The only place left around here to experience the good old fashioned drive in movies!! About the same price as a regular theatre but you can bring your own food and you get a double feature!

Tameka Fertebee

Had a blast took my 6 yr old and 1 yr old to see Clifford the big red dog. I enjoyed it as well. Fun during the pandemic and we were safe.

Henley Carson

Could definitely use a HUGE update. This place is always busy it's hard to imagine why they never do anything new to it. My male friend used the bathroom and said it was really nice so that was disappointing as the female bathrooms were gross and smelled weird. There's also a lot of people who don't turn off their lights which sucks. I do love the late showings though. Perfect when you can't sleep but don't want to sit at home

Lauren Roe

Awesome experience both times I will definitely be coming back in the near future

Eric Williams

The ticket sales guy stole $10 from me, but the worst part is I already knew it was going to happen. Every time I go to something in Detroit they try to steal 10 to 20 dollars, hence the reason I don't go to often. There are far too many petty thieves for my taste.

Evy Love

I use to go here once a week during the summer as a kid so its nice to continue the tradition with my kids.

Robert poore

They have upgraded this place. They paved a lot of the entry. No more window speakers. Food is good. Wish the playgrounds were better but awesome place

Heaven Wilson

This place is amazing. Love being a Detroiter. Born and raised this place would always be a staple for a cute date with your man, or having girls night out with your girls. Kid friendly as well!

yendor 187

I guess it was a name change? Been here a few times back in the day when it was the Ford Wyoming and not the Ford Drive in theater. It's all the same and you should enjoy yourself. The only largest drive in Theatre left hand in there!!!

Mark Elgersma

We love this theatre! They show modern movies, classics, anime flicks, and it's easy to social distance. The pre-show animations are nostalgic calls to drive-ins of days past, and the prices are fair.

Nikki N

It's a great place 2 go when u don't want 2 deal with a crowd of ppl & my only complaint is: their movie screens are a bit blurry ???? !

Christos Yousif

Great place to watch a movie in your car. It brings back old time vibes.

Erica Rudolph

It was nice. You bring all your snacks and stuff if you want and can watch a movie from the comfort of your car. We were early so technically we saw a movie and a half. What's not to like! The radio channel you use to hear the movie from your car is very clear. They also give you the option to rent a portable radio. I might consider that next time because the vehicle I was in wouldn't start back up. We just called the theatre office and they sent someone to give us a boost. They came right away and they were very helpful. So I had a nice time. It's perfect actually with all that's going on if you want to get out but not be around a lot people. Enjoy!

Andrew Mapes

This was my first time to a drive in movie theater and I enjoyed it. I saw the new fast and furious which I thought was good but a little too unrealistic and the new jungle cruise movie which was funny as hell. Ticket prices are pretty good for this place and concession prices are not too bad either. Makes for a fun night out with the family if you're looking for something to do. Definitley recommend this to others.

Alotta Pajs Boutique

This place is never crowded. Can still distance between cars. You can use your radio or rent theirs. I love it. Safe never any violence or drama.

Robert Hodgeson

I have always loved and cherished this Drive In Theatre for so many years. Especially in covid times, this is definitely the place to be. Great concessions, friendly staff, comfortable spacing between cars, and an overall safe area to be at. This is by far the best drive in theatre that I have been to compared to all the others in the state. Please continue to support this place.

Carol Voakes

I love the drive in! The bathrooms were great! They were clean and new, everything looks to be recently updated. The food was good, fries were made fresh and the chili was hot. The popcorn was buttery and delicious. Movie was great. I recommend EVERYONE visit the Ford Drive in Theater!!!!

Gatorman Smith

The popcorn was not fresh not at all I purchased my popcorn at 9:30 in the evening they just opened up and it was all bad and I didn't find out until I got all the way back to my car which was felt like a half a mile from the construction stand.. And I pay the arm and the leg for it It wasn't even worth a pinky

smrati hans

Love the movie experience. They do have a cafeteria as well near screen 2. Also restrooms are also clean (also near screen 2). They also have people for help roaming around as my car did not start, they helped us to jump start quickly.

richelle daly

Went there to see the new movie old and the f9 fast and before the movie started they was evacuating everybody out because of the rain as soon as everybody evacuated 5 minutes later we was driving around Ford road no rain whatsoever for the rest of the night so that means we lost 25 dollars with no refunds

Jeneen Zimmerman

Love that they added port a potties. It was cleaner than the restroom use to be and i didn't have to walk a half a mile in the dark.

rachael kindy

Best experiences whenever I go; female restrooms are always clean and stocked and concessions are a little pricey but well worth it for their fries. My date said the male restrooms were a bit jenky but otherwise everything was well done and best movie going experience for COVID America.
