The aisles between the seats were wide enough that I didn't have to stand up when someone walked by, there was plenty of leg room. The theaters are small and there were no middle exit aisle so everyone had to exit by the end seats. The theater was not clean and the audience was loud and rowdy, at times I couldn't hear the movie. I won't be back.

As a senior citizen, a great place to go in the morning and afternoon. Even on a Saturday. The Customer Service was good, Theatre was clean, seats comfortable, hot dog and popcorn good. Under this management have not been in a rowdy crowd viewing a picture.

It's very clean, with friendly staff and comfortable seats. However, there's always a cop car sitting outside of it (2 if it's a busy night). The popcorn was stale, I'm guessing because it wasn't busy. But it was a Friday night at 7pm when I was there last, so I'm surprised they weren't busy. Otherwise, everyone was very accommodating and friendly and I enjoyed my experience.

I have absolutely NEVER been in a worse theater... People were loud and obnoxious and very rude. People were non-stop screaming. My husband and I could not even hear our movie. In my opinion I think the staff should control their consumers better and people should behave in a more humane nature. I do not recommend this theater if you actually want to watch the movie, although if you want to be annoyed go for it.

As of summer 2016, the place was fairly clean, the seats in good repair, and the staff passably professional. They could do better at enforcing no-phone policies and asking screaming children to step outside. For the amount they charge, I expected a bit more; this is not what I'd actually call a "luxury cinema". The worst sin, from a fanboy perspective, is that they turned up the lights and started noisily cleaning the auditorium while the credits were rolling, though there was still about half the audience staying for the after credit scene. The theater knows which movies have these, and should respect it as part of the experience. Fanboy rant over. I'd come back if the timing was exceptional or I had a coupon, but it isn't going to be my first choice.

First of all, it's certain people at times who are "ghetto" NOT a theater! I recently attended a movie that had a group of young teens that disrupted the movie I was viewing, but if you let the staff know and stop complaining amongst yourselves they will be approached in a respectable appropriate manner so that we could continue to enjoy ourselves in the establishment. Staff can NOT fix what they don't know! The prices are great, the food is great and the staff are great! Keep doing what you all are doing and fix the parking lot!

I am here right now. Haven't been in 10+ years I usually go to 15 and gratiot and after coming here I will continue to go to 15 and gratiot. You can't compare the one to the other. The popcorn was gross, its small in the theater no games or anything to do if you're a little early for your movie. People said they liked it so I came to see if it was better but I didn't like it, pretty much the same to me

I love a good movie, and a recent release marks my viewing just under 1,000. For a Monday, this movie theater sells their tickets at the concession stand. $8 a ticket for a weekday night. The food sold here is as overpriced as your county fair. But they don't stop to check the can of soda or box of candy in your pocket, so that is nice. The staff is kind and efficient. The interior was almost spotless until we reached our seats. The hard floor is sticky, no surprise. My only problem was the restrooms. The urinals are so close together, I'm sure big movies make relieving yourself very awkward.

It was much better than anticipated. We went to see Capt Marvel at 155pm. There wasn't a lot of people there. The noise level in the theater wasn't loud at all, it was clean in inside and out. The staff was pretty alright as well. I would definitely be interested in seeing another movie at this theater.

Had to do long wait to get our tickets even after purchasing the tickets online (Fandango) The movie hall was smaller than my living room. Seats were dirty and extremely uncomfortable despite the name of being “luxury cinema” ???? Better pay & watch in YouTube rather than coming in here and spending money for this small untidy hall and also deal with the unprofessional people. Never coming back! Wish I could give 0 ⭐️

This theatre is such a disappointment compared to others. it seriously needs a remodel, more security, it just looks very dirty, and outdated. The parking lot is very messy and many people complain about this and still no fix. The seats are supposed to be getting renewed. The concessions always look unorganized and the employees are unprofessional and unkept. its just so unclassy. Not a good look for a movie theater at all and it's sad that people from Detroit have to travel all the way to the suburbs for a decent comfortable safe clean and updated movie. Bel Air its time to step your game up and actually put some money into this theater it should be up there with the Fairlaine or even the AMC Star Gratiot theater

No not at all, Ive been to other places and couldn't even get a clean toilet.The employees are cool and helpful.Kids will be kids no matter what theatre you go to so don't choose a kiddy or scary flick expecting complete silence just go see it early in the day and I bet you'll be much happier. Thor Ragnarok was awesome!!!!! I guess the service was ok. I don't appreciate how they cut the lights on trying to kick you out. I'm not moving until all of the credits are over. Every Marvel fan knows that It's important stuff happening after the credits. Stuff we don't wanna miss. Beware of the parking lot it is in really bad shape. I was there a few weeks ago and many of the handicapped spaces were filled with snow. There were not enough to go around. They need benches in the halls outside of the movies for the handicapped and elderly and others who cannot walk the distance without taking a break. The floors near the concession stand was loaded with popcorn. It looks as if it hadn't been vacuumed in months.

As soon as you walk through the main doors to the ticket booth, you quickly notice that whole theater is filthy. Garbage everywhere on the floors and this is before getting to your sits. Brought my kids here on Saturday 10/10. It was an alright experience. On Wednesday my daughter told me that she wasn't feeling well so I took my kids and I to get tested and we just got the results yesterday that me and my kids now have covid-19 and we are on quarantine. Theres half a theater of minors watching "GET OUT" How are they allowed to see this without a guardian?

The best looking and operating theater within Detroit's city borders. This location has remained for decades, and the facility has had a notable upgrade since. The men's restroom stays well kept, motioned sensor facets and hand dryers stay functional. Of course ticket prices have increased from former years. But for this theater's comfortable seating alone, it's worth that fee. This theater has a casual atmosphere of young black youths taking orders. You'll see white people here, old and young if this means something to some peoples sense of gauging the safety of an environment.

After a year + of quarantine, masks and limited entertainment, this was an excellent way to return to Saturday night entertainment.

This movie theater is not worth your money. My friend ordered chicken and his chicken was badly undercooked. The seats are narrow. The movie I saw didn't start until 20 minutes after it was supposed to and it kept playing an annoying sound coming out of the speakers while I waited for the movie to start. The only thing nice about my experience at this movie theater was that it was remodeled. I wouldn't recommend coming to this theater.

Ghetto... but the security guard was nice and helpful due to I was given the wrong time movie tickets, and the wrong number. But i was accommodated. And the young man apologized. Also, while the movie was going had a lot of kids, who kept bumping the chairs. Kids that were loud in the back and cursing. And people on their phones and turned their flashlight on their phone on. But other than that, it was decent for it to be in Detroit. No issues.

I was forced to give it 1 star in order to leave this review. This is the absolute worse movie experience I have EVER had in my entire life, and I go to the movie often! I read a review that was about 4mths old complaining about the parking lot to which "Management" stated they would be starting restoration in the upcoming months...REALLY because that had not happened AT ALL! That's just the parking lot now on to the inside. The ticket was sold at the concession stand given the theater #8 but I was told to go to #9. The girls behind the concession stand was helpful with the exception of the 1 who I must have disrupted from being on her cell phone to get more butter on my popcorn. Get to the theater and the marquee says "SPY" that's funny because I didn't ask or pay to see that movie. Upon entering there was a odd odor throughout the theater and the seats looked as if they had not been cleaned in a while. After sitting thru about 20 minutes of previews guess what movie started playing..."SPY" again that was not what my ticket stated! So as I sit there until I couldn't take it anymore and ask what the problem was and I was told in a very stank manner "he went to change out the movie". I then ask "He" who? So I had to then wait another 10 minutes for the movie reel to be loaded correctly...wth!!! I have never had this happen when I visited AMC or MJR!!! After asking for a refund for the movie tickets only for the inconvenience I was given the money back. I returned to my seat but shortly after I had a chick approach me stating I had to leave. I was so ready to go but I did not choose to come there I was asked and because I didn't want any issues I decided against asking for my money back for the food items purchased from the concession stand. I would not have a need for them if I was not watching a movie!. So moral of the story is if you want to enter into a ghetto and disorganized atmosphere then by all means go to this theater! Trust and believe there is no way I would ever in my lifetime patronize this so called place of business!!!

I have always been a fan of a neighborhood theaters as far back as the days of the Mercury Theater on Schaefer off Six Mile. The Bel Air takes me back during those days. The remodeling looks great, the chairs are remarkable and the security is a plus. The next thing should be repairs to the parking lot. I know it takes time. You are moving in the right direction! I would give the theater four stars for now.

I went to go see the nun and it was very ghetto there were a whole lot of children in the theater yelling and cursing very outrageously for one the movie is rated R and and they all looked about 13years of age so they shouldn’t even be in there. I just moved to the city a few weeks ago and wanted to see a new movie on opening night with my girlfriend. This place is great. We didn't have to reserve a seat online hours in advance. It is a few bucks cheaper than other ones. The line was somewhat long at the time but we were all just joking around and making small talk about what we were going to see. I've been to shows earlier in the day to avoid the travesty of the late night crowd. Unfortunately today, I decided to be brave and see a show after 5 PM.... NEVER AGAIN. People's commentary during the film was loud and obnoxious and the amount of uncontrolled, unsupervised teens was astronomical. I had an awful experience, and had to alert the staff on multiple occasions that the banter in the theatre was louder than the movie itself. This theatre really needs to cut down on unsupervised teens. They go from one theatre to another causing havoc. The staff was responsive to my complaints, although it didn't stop the issue from constantly reoccurring. Overall, not a bad theatre but they need to come up with better ways to control their patrons.

The Belair Luxury cinema is very nice. The new owner has really worked wonders with the theater. New Red Recliner seats. The place is clean and the concession food is pretty good. I love the popcorn. Also, the owner is a nice man he even allows for church service every sunday before the movies begin. Arise Church Detroit. What a wonderful concept and partnership.

First time visiting this theater. We ordered chicken boxes took well over 35 mins to make and we were the only ones in line. The girl with the braces that work there is soooo rude she threw our boxes on the counter with out even saying anything! The other guy who was there rubbed Carmax on his lips and didn’t even wash his hands, afterwards he touched someone cheese that was going on the nachos while the cheese was coming out the machine. Gross. The theatre was so dark couldn’t even see the chairs it was trash EVERYWHERE. It was even a trash can in the middle of the walkway over flowing with trash. I enjoyed the movie but I think this place need new management and a clean up.

I'm excited to see new improvement, however, I do have a suggestion; like today sometimes I just go to the movies to get away and I like to see more than one movie, I wish someone would offer a two for a cheaper rate on the matinee movies. I’m visiting with my family and we just came to see Lion King and we walked out less than halfway through the movie. Advertisement was misleading, place was not clean and only the first 2 rows of seats reclined. We could hear everything going on in the movie theater next to us. There were teenagers sitting in the row behind us and using their outside voices, singing, narrating the movie, crunching on their food obnoxiously, and kicking the back of our seats. I’m not sure why this place has a 4.2 star rating, it should have 1 at the most: Save yourself some time and money and don’t come to this theater. I will for sure never be attending again.

Went to the theatre for Father's Day. Went in the women's bathroom. I had to open six stalls before I found a flushed toilet. Piss and toilet paper in all six. I'm glad I found a clean one. Lazy, Nasty $%&#$es (who do not flush) should keep their stank-ass behavior at home. The Bel Air Staff work their asses off to keep the theatre clean, and some nasty ass $%$#$es come into the stalls showing their poor potty training. Dogs and cats do a better job. Keep up the Good Job Bel Air Staff, and thank you.

My family and I had a wonderful and pleasant time. Very Covid responsible...including shields at the register and many sanitizer stations. We just happened to have the theater to ourselves but they also had every other row caution taped off for social distancing. Snack bar had limited selections: Popcorn, Nachos, Sodas, and multiple candies. The Bar was closed...Ikr...I didn't know they had one until this evening

I caught a lyft there from the Olive Garden with a bag full of carry outs. I was told my food would be stored with my name on it and I could retrieve it later just to come out of the movie to be lied to and told my food had already been picked up. I was alone. The so called manager on duty and a few other employees laughed while I inquired why my food was given away. After I was told to leave my name and number for general management I spotted my food in the trash. It was $80 worth of take out. I then asked why was I lied to and began to produce my receipt for the food and asked was I going to be compensated. Only to be mocked some more and to no avail. By this time my lyft had pulled up so I sent an email to corporate.

Never had a bad experience at the facility... Been there countless times with the family and many more times with just my young daughter. The staff was always great...couteous and helpful with a smile.. Maybe I was always lucky but I beleive otherwise.I pick this place over the suburb places everytime. And since the upgrades...wow..what a huge difference. Thank you too all that work there and maintain the excellent standards of service.

This is the only movie theater in Detroit and it is excellent the general manager Johny is very helpful any takes care of everyone. The theater itself was recently updated and has very very nice plush seating the sound is excellent in the screens are excellent as well. Theaters also have reclining leather seats in the front that are super comfy...

Love this theater, decent prices & its in the city. Friendly staff. Excellent parking lot security. On 2 different occasions my battery in my car went dead requiring a boost and on both occasions the same security guard helped me out. Both times i offered 2 pay the gentleman and each time he profusely turned me down. Well since he wouldnt take the money I will thank him in this review. Happy to see he's still their helping out. I feel a lot safer leaving my car unattended knowing it will be WATCHED. Thank u security. Also the new upgrades are beautiful ????????

Too old school for me. I was having flashbacks when I was a kid fighting for a good seat. This theater does not have assigned seating so it’s first come first serve. Also the reclining seats are worn out and old. The other seats in the theater aren’t comfortable. The floor is slippery, my 4yr niece almost slipped and would have had a serious fall if I didn't catch her. If you want a trip back to the 90s this is the theater for you. Customer service is great and staff are friendly.
