Old cinemas. No need to go here unless you are desperate to see a first run movie.

Tegan Letang

The worst theater experience in town. On par with the other crappy theater.

Chris Rider

Goher Hafeez

A small compact theater, old broken chairs, sound system is ok, friendly front desk.

Rhianna Loxton

Went on a Wednesday had an awesome deal for twosomes... $29.99 = 2 tickets, 2 drinks, popcorn and a candy selection. Theatre was clean, no complaints.

What a dump, just buy a bigger tv and download it.

Pete Richards

Run down, dirty, broken seats in every isle, exit sign they shines a red glow onto the screen. Over all a very poor cinema

Janet Brault

Last night we went to see "In the heart of the sea "I like location and available parking. I disliked waiting to buy tickets and concession items as only one staff for both stations. Please upgrade equipment to feature 3d films properly. The audience watched and waited over 10 minutes for the 3d effects to come into play. The captions were difficult to read as they fell half off the bottom of the screen. The sound was very loud pre feature film and not quite loud enough for the main attraction. The room temperature was uncomfortably cool. When will we be able to view 3d films to their optimum?

Smells like urine as well broken seats.

Shayne Johnson

Has anyone else noticed getting ripped pants from sharp seat cushions? Springs maybe? Anyone else noticed the smell of urine that's everywhere in the front six rows? Ugh, I felt so dirty after leaving here. It wasn't from watching a movie with Tom Cruise in it, I'll say that much; but that didn't help either.

I went to this cinema a coupe of years ago. It's a small town old school cinema. I loved it. The smell of popcorn, the ambience, it was a bit like going back in time. Some people just need to lighten up. Mind you some people would still moan even if it was perfect.

maximiliano Rayo-vazquez

Waste of a holiday sitting in a dark theater for a half hour only to be turned down and out the door due to technical Difficulties, received $18 back after spending $35 .....kudos...

There are two cinemas in Whitehorse. The Yukon and the Qwanlin. One is quite a lot nicer than the other and when I first moved to Whitehorse I struggled to remember which was which but after visiting both numerous times I learnt a little word association that can help jog the memory. The Yukon cinema is the "Yuk" cinema. The Qwanlin is the "Quality" cinema. Quite straight forward really, and even though my definition of "Quality" is very loose in this case I still think its obvious that the Yukon is of a far lower standard. Yuk - on. I read an article in a local paper last summer about how the cinema upgraded its sound and projector equipment and that people should be happy with it. Well, if a projector and speakers could sprout legs and brains and take over management of the cinema I would be happy because, believe it or not, my gripe isn't with the broken chairs, cup holders that should be called 'cup tippers' or even the exit light that's conveniently placed so its shines all over the right side of the screen, its with the management. I'm sorry but making people wait outside prior to a film in winter is just nasty. There's ample room in the corridor to run a divider down and allow a line to form inside the warm haven that is its lobby. Also, on Tuesday's when you know 90% of your patrons will take advantage of the cheap popcorn/pop deal, why not prep a bunch of popcorn and coke's so that the line doesn't suddenly stop on a busy night causing people who arrived 20 minutes early to still miss the start of their movie because you only decided to open the doors 15 minutes before the start time? Anyway, I'm tired and have enjoyed my St Patricks day weekend so in the spirit of that I forgive you Yukon Cinema and will see you tomorrow night for some cheap popcorn and an uncomfortable two hours!

Cozy. Sticky floors. You can get your tickets online

Overpriced Dirty Sticky Smells Definitely a lot of problems, but its not like it will change as long as you know what your expecting you can’t be dissatisfied.

The second best theatre in Whitehorse, more sticky floors more horrible bathrooms

Jona Barr

This place is great. 10/10 would watch a movie here anytime.

Matt Wilkie

A pale shadow of a shadow of what this place used to be. Ill maintained, falling apart, floors a sticky mess, broken seats, untrained staff. The owners should be fired.

Jenwick Creative

Courtney Chapman

Loved the movie, didn't love the seats at all

Rea Postoloski

Seats suck but the popcorn is great and always fun to see movies on the big screen.

These people talk like they expect a high class multiplex in the north. Like, c,mon. Its the best we can get. Sure, it *might* be a little icky. But not once of all the movies I have seen there, not one has been rescheduled. Appreciate the chance we have to watch movies in a heated, fully operating theater up here.

Tim Sellars

The theatre is overdue for demolition.

Lisa Yardley

Mouse infested...and come on......you do nothing to make it cleaner or up to date.sucks here.

Christine Drummond

Stood in the cold for ages. Had to pay for ticket at concession. There were only 2 workers at concession. Had to wait until those ahead got all of their concession goodies. Took 20 mins to get to our seats. Movie started late because it took so long to get the line up into the theater. :(

Alicia Brown

A sad excuse for a movie theatre...Whitehorse has been waiting on an update since the year 2000

patrick yergeau

Jolene walsh

Low quality theater. Seats, screen and walls are probably the originals. You can hear the next door movie very clear and the exit sign shines red over half the screen.

Gordon Rozsa

Chai Thericeboi

Not the best

Jen Evelynn

Disgusting.... specially the female washroom.. the female feminine box was so full it was overflowing onto the floor. There was stuff all down the walls from the roof and many more disgusting things wrong...

Barrie Ledoux

Sarah Jackson

Cheap Tuesday is the best.

Marilyn Skookum

Ashton Mason

Spent 36$ to go to Sausage Party with my wife and friends, sat in the dark for half an hour with no sound, employee came in and said the speakers are broken, no movie and no refund for any snacks, sat in the dark for half an hour to get an 18$ refund and get ripped off 16$ for overpriced snacks. Thanks a lot Yukon Theatre.

Samantha Van De Kraats

Dirty, sticky, and outdated. Needs to be torn down at this point

Brodie Ryder

Its bad. There is not really anything else to say.

Jessica Young

This theatre is beyond Ghetto. What a dump. I wouldn't empty an ashtray in this quarantine zone. The butts deserve better. Clean it with fire, now.

Old Cinema but New movie releases available

Oscar Setterington

Eww. I wish i could do a half star. This is the absolute most disgusting cinema i have ever visited. How does this place pass health and saftey inspection? Can whitehorse have at least one cineplex?

David Eriksen

Broken seats no butter can hear movie next door not a good experince

Atlin Potvin

Yukon DDK

Lucas Henderson

Like seriously?

Beverley LeBlanc

The smell of urine upon entering was overwhelming. Many broken seats and they are so low to the floor it’s uncomfortable. Asked for real butter and pretty sure it was just cooking oil that was put on the popcorn as there was no taste of butter! Unfortunately the staff don’t really care one way or the other as I told who I thought was the manager but she just laughed. They need to tare down both theatres and build one up to date one. It would be so enjoyable to go out to the show then, instead I’m always afraid a rat is going to run over my feet or jump from somewhere and bite me. Thanks for the lovely evening.

Rod Binnie

Diego Alvarez

epic pp smell

Jinhee Park

They should hire more staff so that people wouldn't have to wait in line for so long and miss the movie. They could surely afford to pay a couple more people to avoid such a long line up. The prices of the movies go up as the rest of the country but the facilities stay in the 80's. What gives?
