My favorite place in the whole wide world. I love coming to any Cinema. Its clean, cool in there and the popcorn is reason enough to go. Yummy and fun all in 1 stop. You should go here at least every month for the food and experience and family and friends time.

Movie was ok but popcorn/snack prices are ridiculously high. $$$ In a way that is VERY tempting to children, shelves full of expensive movie-related toys are set up next to customers waiting in line for popcorn. A gift-shop you can't avoid! Why is Galaxy/Cineplex determined to make parents spend $100's on a single movie outing???

My other favourite theatre in the region. Vey good popcorn and service and generally clean. Good picture and sound quality. Please note that although their website states that they have Dolby atmos (theatre isn't listed under Dolby atmos theatres but includes it in the description) in their ultraavx auditorium (which has amazing picture quality, similar to the imax at landmark), they seem to not have full Dolby atmos in the auditorium.

Not as fancy as Landmark Theatre but more conveniently located Galaxy theaters is a pretty standard Cineplex. It has 10 theaters. Things are pretty quiet right now with Covid but staff took precautions seriously without being paranoid

Please fix the loud squeaky doors! Those things have squealed every time they're opened for the better part of a decade or more and have never been fixed! Other than that, this is a great theatre with awesome and friendly staff.

The usher in charge of ripping my ticket was rather rude. No sense of customer service. The theater itself was not clean. There were wrappers, napkins and tickets from the previous show clearly on the floor. The only thing saving this from being a 1 star was the 2 ladies at concession were absolute sweethearts and the movie was good.

Went to see Sing tonight with my children. A little pricey for the food in my opinion for a single mom with three kids, but the staff made my experience all worthwhile. Very friendly, passionate, and professional customer service by employee Mark. Glad you guys have such positive people working at this movie theatre. Definitely going to spread the word!

Came here on Tuesday to watch Deadpool with some friends and ended up springing for the dbox seats. It was nice that we could reserve them, however the moving sensation for this particular movie seemed to flow nicely at the beginning and make less sense near the end. The seats overall were comfortable, but I'm not sure I would pay the extra price too often.

Excellent theatre! We saw a 3D movie and the experience was amazing; seating was comfortable, sight lines great, and sound fantastic! It all came together to create an excellent movie experience. Minus one star for all the "commercials".

Still give it 5 star, but last time we went the only seats we could get was at the very front row that's good if you want to watch a movie like your watching a tennis game, so when their is a box office movie coming out book your seats a day a head

Generally I enjoy seeing movies at this theatre. I however did not enjoy the third degree that my husband and I underwent when we ordered 2 hot dogs without the bun. I'm a customer and it is a simple enough request to comply with. It is not the servers business to enquire why I want my hot dog that way. I'm still paying for the bun, I'm just choosing not to have it served to me.

This Galaxy Cinema at Conestoga Mall in Waterloo is a great place to enjoy watching new releases year-round. They have several show theaters and the cinema is running all week long. It is clean, organized, and there are areas that suit little children with multiple games and fun to do. The food is all right, but i would prefer having a bite at the mall if needed, and go to the cinema after. Drinks and popcorn are great at the cinema. Parking is huge.

The seats are not that great in this cinema. I was on a regular ticket and wasn’t expecting high class seats but ive seen a variation in the seats in different locations. The staff was super nice and friendly though.

Went to see Alpha good movie but theatre was not very good... bathrooms dirty... missing toilet paper in most stalls... counters covered in water and soap... carpets dirty so bad my shoes were sticking to carpets... seats old and broken... and we had to exit the theatre in the dark as they didn't turn lights on at end of the movie...

Standard well run Cineplex theatre. It's a bit small and low on staff (exclusively uses kiosks for tickets) so feels a bit more dead compared to some other locations. Still a nice place for movie night

I give it three stars because they have to upgrade their seating. Their seats aren't wide enough and incline so much the people behind you may complain. There's no setting the seat angle it just rocks freely. Other than that a solid cinema to go to with big screens and sound. Oh and they serve beer now too.

The chair wasnt as comfortable as other cineplex cinemas. Some other places have automated seats and you can basically lean back while watching the movie. Here you have to put force to lean back and seats wont even stay..

It is always nice to watch movies at this theater. Sitting arrangement is very nicely done. 3D glasses are always clear. I would very much recommend this hall if you want to watch movies in big screen.

Sitting in a movie as we speak. $30 for popcorn and drink which is fine....but they have the most disgusting and cheap paper straws here. They don’t have any plastic options available. All I taste is paper. Kitchener location still has plastic ones that don’t ruin your drink so I will keep going to that location instead. Brutal.

Customer service was great except they ran out of paw patrol mini kids combo for popcorn. Kids were disappointed when they asked for paw patrol since they were going to that particular watch movie. Wasn't even offered anything else to substitute the fact they didn't have it.

I take my son here almost weekly. It's much cheaper than Cineplex, and this particular location has ridiculously helpful and friendly staff. Great seating, online reservations for seats, daily special events such as bring your kids day, and the ever popular Tuesday is cheap day. I cant wait to take my son to our next movie night!

I love scene points to get free movies, there is usually at least one movie I want to watch (If I haven't already seen it). Theatre is clean and well kept, and the counter staff are usually pretty good! Covid protocols are being followed, so be sure to bring your POV and ID.

Great place to see a movie. The mall is right beside it. Food shopping and a movie all in one stop! And all the busses link up at the mall super convinient. Elmira Bus should run longer hrs on weekends. So if you are taking the bus back to Elmira you might want to take in a matinee. Elmira Bus doesn't run Sunsays either ????

Avoid at all costs if you seeing any kind of serious movie. Filled with university students who have zero respect for other people in the theater. I have had horrible experiences here more than once with other guests being loud and obnoxious.

Compared to newer theatres in K-W area, this one is certainly showing its age. Worn down painted cement in theatres, older style seating, picture not as clear or bright... Also don't even look up while in the lobby entrance, there is so much collected dust on the decorations/air ducts that you might think twice about buying any snacks that aren't sealed airtight. Overall still a decent location to see a movie if you're limited to waterloo.

Usually one of the better locations in the city. This evening none of the staff are happy to be at work. Concession staff chatting the whole night and inconvenienced by taking orders. Ticket clerk refused entry at 20 mins to. "Too early". Then said too earlier at 15 mins to. Never had an experience like this before.

I had a great time going to this cinema with my friends, since I've loved Frozen my whole life we went and watched Frozen 2, the ticket prices are at a good price and the seats are super comfortable and something I personally have never seen in a theater

This movie theatre still feels relatively new. There are no cashiers selling tickets anymore, just automatic kiosks. We were able to select our seats. Pay attention to where the movie screen is show on the seating plan -- some people see it backwards and end up closer or further than they would prefer.

Love the seating, it's really comfortable, and staff were very kind, although there isn't enough staff- no one scanned my movie tickets so someone could just walk in, and there was one man trying to clean the entire theatre from the previous movie and did a great job considering although would've been much cleaner with more time and help.

It's was my first time at Galaxy Cinemas. Probably the last. It was the first session Saturday morning. The room was disgust. In the row I was in there was dried pop drink on the floor making it super sticky. One of our 4 seats was also sticky because of the pop drink. Fortunately the room was pretty empty and we able to move to other unassigned seats. If the room is this way on the first session of the day I don't want to know how it is at the end of the day.

A really nice cinema. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable and there are usually a lot of choices in movies to watch. As long as you avoid peak times and newly released movies, it's not usually too crowded.

Normally I have a good experience but not today. I got a drink coca cola and it was totally flat and tasted like diet coke. I went back and told them, they gave me another coke and it tasted the same. The staff would not acknowldge or even tast it themselves to see if it was so. They just shrugged their shoulders and claimed it always tastes this way. I drink a lot of coca cola I know when it isn't right.

We often go here to see movies it's getting rather expensive to have food and drinks and popcorn as well as go see a show but if you're up for spending a night out for entertainment and food it's not a bad spot and easy accessible to most of the water the area. Service is about slow getting the food that's to be expected with how busy they are other than that it was pleasant

I had trouble obtaining the ticket, and hence, i met this wonderful lady, who is supposed to be a manager. I asked her i have a confusion, and she directly told me she would come and help me. Ohh!! Lisa.(Sorry i dont know her full name) thank you so much. the world needs to recognize people like you. You are the leader the world needs. not because they need it but because they should need it. I totally admire people like you, people who dont look at you from outside, but will help you by figuring out what you want from within. This theatre has gone downhill since it opened. Maintenance issues are aplenty and their desire to keep people employed has been overpowered by their desire to make more money. My viewership at this theatre has diminished dramatically over the past few years.

Its the middle of the summer & no A/C, there was only 4 people in the theater not sitting anywhere near each other and we had to leave in the middle of the movie because we were sweating so much :( wont be coming back

Went to go see the suicide squad last night and the video cut out while the sound was going for a good 10 mins. The chairs were supposed to move around and the audio was supposed to be 3D, but that was a lie. Such a waste of money. Next time I’ll know better and just pirate the movie. ????‍☠️ Bonus: I got this outdated Tom and Jerry cup (had to pay for it of course)

The theater itself was clean. The snack bar only had 1 register open even though they had 4 people standing behind there so the line was long and took longer than it should have. The ticket prices were very reasonable and actually cheaper than US ticket prices. We watched Venom on a Sunday night so the theater wasn't crowded. The seats were comfortable.

Good (and overpriced) food selection, great movie lists and clean facilities. I am a frequent movie goer here and always appreciate the very professional and friendly staff and the spacious theatres. You can use your SCENE card and get points here which is always great. The self checkout kiosks are good too and very efficient if you want to buy an on location ticket.

Saw a movie in the AVX seats. Great sound, albeit a tad loud in the previews. The movie was the perfect volume. Seats were comfy, picture was great. Had an issue with two people behind us who kicked our seats and talked through the whole movie. The manager Lisa H. handled the issue amazingly and was understanding, sympathetic, extremely courteous, and is the reason we will come back. Thank you!

We were a bit leary of going to a movie theatre but it was a special family occasion. We were quite spaced out and they made sure to remind people of the safety protocols. It did help that we went to a late afternoon matinee. It turned out to be a great experience and we felt quite safe.

Hasn't changed much since it was built, but it doesn't really need to I guess. Some 3D showings now I suppose, but that's a dumb scam nobody should spend money on. I'm not going to bother complaining about concession prices because they're the same everywhere. It's a nice place to see a movie, that's about it.

I watched House of Gucci here. It took them 20 minutes to turn out the house lights. I didn’t really mind, but it seemed like the other 5 people in the theatre were furious over that.

Went to see new Blade Runner in the fancy theatre with the Atmos surround sound. It failed epically -the movie was stopped becaus no one could hear the dialogue so we left with 2 movie vouchers for each of us. Bad but not terrible experience

Becareful if you order tickets online as to which direction the seating layout is represented when you pick your seats. For instance the top of the layout is not the same as the top row. But rather it's the front row on the top. The frozen yogurt is overpriced games are expensive but the movies are good and they got to pay their bills somehow

This theatre is clean and spacious. It has a nice variety of snacks and a mini arcade. I find the seats in the theatre quite comfortable, since they recline. However, sitting at the very front is still difficult on the neck.

20 minutes of commercials after the posted start time for Star Wars with a paid movie ticket . A large popcorn with butter nachos and two drinks over $27 bucks? That would buy a nice meal in a local restaurant. Come on guys The bullshit has to stop . If the movie has twenty minutes of commercials before the film starts Then advertise the true start time. I pay to see a movie Not damm commercials. Technically, video quality excellent. Sound quality excellent. I do miss the deeper contrast and grain of 35 mm .

Loved the movie I went to see, but the theater was awful. The heat was left on and it smelt like sweat. When asked the staff if they could do anything they said "it is what it is". Most uncomfortable movie theater experience I have ever had. Would not recommend this theater. I'd rather travel the extra 20 minutes to a better location.

Update August 2021: Please watch out if any person sitting at your back seat or front, IT IS NOT ALLOWED. I've experienced it and not just one but a series of group setting right behind my seats and even hitting my seat from back. So annoying, I should have reported it to Cineplex agents but I let it go. Don't repeat my mistake. @Cineplex agents: Please properly check the seating in auditorium. I know, you guys are doing a great job in this pandemic.

Had a printed gift card which wouldn't work at the automated teller. There was no one working at the tellers so I had to search around and eventually some directed me to a discreet cash that looked like it was part of the food vending area. It would be nice to have at least one person hanging around the self ticket booths like they have at the grocery stores.

The theatre is outstanding for the sound tech and screens are large, even the none flagship screens. Staff are what makes this theatre a 5 star,the bathrooms are what lower it to a 4 star. Overall great theatre with lots of extras nearby

Clean theatres and friendly service. The self serve ticket machines could be difficult to use for first timers. Prehaps having a worker there to assist those needing help using the machine would be helpful. It was very busy but concession staff managed to get orders out in a timely manner.

The last 3 Tuesdays I've gone have been absolutely awful. People on their phones and talking EXTREMELY LOUD the entire movie after being shushed multiple times. Ridiculous. I love movies and this ruins it.

Grate place to watch the latest and grates movie with friends and family.This Movie theater provides good quality movies. Sound and movies quality is perfect but even great things have problems. Problem #1 self service This theater in Waterloo use to be a theater with a service and ticket desk now turned into a self service machine. me and my friends went to order tickets for myself, himself and his sister we clicked for 1 child and 2 general admission but it did not enter the 2 general emission passes . we asked a staff for help but they just redirected use to the food counter and said we could get our tickets there. Witch I did not know they should have a sign saying tickets at the food counters. Problem #2 Choosing you seats This is the reason why I deiced to write this review. after you chose your tickets you get a screen asking you to choose your seats. Personally I think this is stupid because people don't care about this. People will sit were ever they wish. On the night of my movie when we came into the theater we found a family sitting in our seats. I said to my friend that we should screw the stupid system and sit were ever we want, so we did. Problem 3 snacks and service On any evening cineplex Waterloo is normally busy at the snack stations. When I came for my movie I wanted my nacho cheese (which is always been great) and it took me 5 minutes to get up to the register to order. The man serving was nice and fast. Not to mention I was late and my movies ads would start playing soon( I like watching the ads). Likely I arrived while some ads were running but still I was late so the long lines did not help. The best way to fix this issue is to open more registers. Over all my movie was great and I enjoyed it. I just think that this cineplex and others can make counters more happy by adding some more options when it comes to paying and getting into enjoy a great movie I like the process to be easy and I like to enjoy my experience while doing so. I hope you found this helpful. Because of these fixable issues does not mean I will never come here again but having said that , that does not mean that this should be ignored. That is all I have to say so please enjoy your movie.

Overpriced food court, in addition to slightly overpriced tickets. That just adds up quickly. The quality of pictures and audio is on top. However, a few times, the image was a little off but did not impact the overall experience. I think everyone can find a room that fits them. Clean and easy to navigate.

This place is great for a night out - play some games, have some dinner and seeing some movies. Theatres are clean, the sound in most of the theatres is excellent, and picture quality good. Staff is polite and courteous, have not had an issue with them at all. Self service booths are nice and make it easy to get tickets

I'm very happy with this location. We always see our movies here. I love that they offer late shows that are less crowded. Parking is great and haven't ever had a complaint about this location.

One of the more modern Cineplex theatres in the area. A nice theatre, but not as nice as the Cineplex on Fairway Road in Kitchener. Seats are comfortable and there are no issues viewing the screen even with people in front of you. Acoustics is very good as well. There is also an AVX theatre here. This theatre also includes TimePlay for those that want to play a quick game and possibly win Scene points before the movie starts.

good theatre plays all the latest movies. It's your normal movie theatre, he only thing i dont like is that they sell popcorn and other food for a very unreasonable price. They should lower their prices they are way too high.

I always have good experiences at this theatre. That is not to say that errors are not made sometimes (we are human after all) BUT what I appreciate is how extremely well situations are dealt with when brought to the attention of employees. Many time issue is resolved by staff member who is willing to help--not necessarily the original staff member who was involved. This shows great teamwork and co-operation and there is no trouble with "this is not my problem" situations. Well done team--I hope they're paying you enough!

Starting to age a bit, but still a good theatre. The seats are ok. The screens are good, but there is always a better theatre, this one is still good, though starting to fall behind in its "shiny newness".

Way too loud and bad sound proof - can always hear the movie from one side of the wall. Screen doesn't fit the protection so often tilted or cut off / rounded off (just saw Mononoke today).A lot of students / younger crowd who can't pay attention for more than 10 minutes of the movie, distracted by phones, eating, talking, late coming... Meanwhile, pricy and mediocre service from staff

Always enjoy my time watching movies here. I like the new self register so that I can pick my own seat and no need to come in early to grab a seat. The staff is also helpful if we have any problem with the self registration. The washroom and the studios are clean. The food option is also good.

Nice employees but I don't understand why they leave the lights on during the movie. I asked and they said it is so people can go to the bathroom but I thought that is why they have the runner lights on the stairs. The place was lit up like a firecracker, don't get it !

This is my favourite theatre. I will bus over an hour to get there just because I love it. The seats are comfy, they always have a wide variety of movies, food, and arcade games. The seating is leveled and has amazing views from any spot!

I was so overly impressed with the management, kindness, and quality of customer service from this theatre. I have never written a review before but I thought this place warranted me creating a profile just to share how great these people are. I have always liked this theatre, but the measure of a business is seen when they handle rough situations, and these guys went above and beyond. Thank you galaxy staff. Keep up the awesomeness!!!

Not always perfect; technical problems are dealt with smoothly enough. Scene is always a big plus for me though. A free movie on occasion makes up for most problems though. Get a scene card! Free and in the long run worth every cent!

These theatres are showing their age and need some reno. No one is ever behind the guest services counter so if you have problems with the ticketing terminals, you're stuck waiting in the concessions lines to take to a live person.

Nee seat reservation system is a disaster idea where i saw an empty theatre (10 people or maybe less) and half of them argued with each other over reserved seats ....again, in an otherwise empty theatre. Great place overall but the tinkering with poorly thought out seating and reservation changes should stop so all guests have an equally positive experience.

Last night was the 3rd time that we've been to this theatre (in the past few months) where the temperature was way too cold. Its almost as if they turn the ac on during the movie. My wife had to put on her winter coat, and thank goodness I had a hoodie because the cool draft down the back of my neck was brutal. For the price we pay, we expect more comfort.

Overall good theater. Since it's located next to a mall, it can be difficult to find a close parking spot during peak times. Comfortable seats and ample food and drink options.

Annoying! Automated tellers at the front-good luck with a gift card(can't do it). Have to choose your seat on a screen like an airline. And then they overcharge for everything. This is why I stopped going to theatres. Thanks for the reminder. Edit: dropped a star. 20 minutes after the movie is to start we are still dealing with commercials and turn off your phone notices. And the seats are not comfortable. And say "Hi." to Mr. Personality at the check in hate with his grunted answers. Sorry to have caused you to work at work.

The seats in the Aud 1-5 are a bit tight. Overall a good theatre for the price but I like the Kitchener Cineplex seats better

Came here last night with my partner. My partner explained that I’m Deaf and to confirm that the movie time has captions. The guy at the front door was really good about immediately making sure everything was good and getting someone to bring a captioning device. When the movie started the manager came up with another device just to confirm it was working properly. All the staff were very accommodating and kind. Would definitely come back here again.

I didnt realize it, but waterloo is now licensed! Grab a beer with your movie. Just wish all of the staff on the till had their smart serve. We had to wait for another staff member to check us out, but other than that it was a great surprise!

Easily the worst theater in Kitchener Waterloo Cambridge. Do yourself a favor and go to Cambridge galaxy or Kitchener VIP Cineplex.

Normally a rather nice theatre, but recently went for a movie close to opening day. Had to sit in very front where view isn't the best. Still had a good time though.
