You will be able to see the feddbacks of real people like you who use the services of Marquette Cinemas (Movie Theater) around Waskaganish territory (Canada).
At the present the business has a rating of 4.5 over 5 and that score has been calculated on 127 reviews.
You may have noticed that its rating is nearly the best one, and it's founded on a large number of feddbacks, so we can say that the rating is quite reliable. If there are many people who bothered to give their review when they've done well, is that it works.
As you know, we do not usually stop to give scores when these are positive and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or issue...
This Movie Theater belongs to the category of Movie theater.
Good
Movies are a fun way to get together with friends and family and enjoy the movie and eat snacks.
The entrance carpet of the U.P.
Best theatre in the UP
Would give zero if i could the concesions girl that gave us popcorn filled the salt shakers wrong wich reaulted in way to much salt on our popcorn when i demanded a refund she declined and instead i poured it all over her flour . way overpriced dont even give xups for water. The screens were small and floor not clean never going here again
This is the only movie theater in Marquette. But it is modern with comfortable seats, good size screens, vip seating and such
Great theatre, but the sound is too loud.
Volume way too high. Hurt my dad's eardrum in his worse ear! Lemon tea? Tasted like water. One bathroom stall door needs to get latch replaced.
Love this movie theater. Cozy seats, friendly staff, and great tasting popcorn. Matinee prices are a great deal, and they often have specials throughout the week on tickets and concessions.
Only movie theatre in town, good service but management is a bit incompetent. Also he looks like a bad Tony Stark
Very nice theater with comfortable seats and prices lower than "da big city" but the management of this theater chain decides which movies will fly in this community and which we don't get to see on a big screen unless we travel to Green Bay. So "artsy" films and movies like "The Man Who Invented Christmas" aren't shown in this venue unless they happen to be up for Best Picture. Yet, some foolish cartoony nonsense will be available on three screens.
Never busy, always clean, the chairs are quite comfortable. There is usually never any popcorn on the floor and their prices are fair. I would definitely recommend this for your viewing pleasure.
Horrible experience with tickets being sold to us in advance for the wrong night, being escorted out to a manager and humiliated in front of the entire theater, almost not getting our money back for the VIP seating tickets, and not rotting refunded for the huge tub of popcorn and two pops we bought. Horrible, I will never go back.
Nice
Very large theater, but the seats are very uncomfortable, and they dont really recline so i feel like i have to strain my neck to see the screen. They arent usually busy which is great and opening nights arent even full.
Went here to see Avenger End Game with some friends. One of our friends arrived late and was not able to get a ticket for the same show as the theater was full. Staff switched our tickets over to a slightly later showing with no problems. They are always very gracious and friendly. Ticket prices are fair, discount for students.
Best theater in Marquette
Great place for movies ❤️
The best cinema I've been to in a long time. Clean and modern facility, polite staff, comfy seats, and fabulous prices. Plus, college & military discounts.
Comfortable, clean and free soda refills. Love going to this theater!
Cool place
Great theater great seats and sound!
15 minutes of advertisements before the trailers. 3 trailers. Had to buy my ticket at the concession counter, which meant waiting for 20 minutes. Seat was comfortable and I'm glad for the handicap seats, but the ads and blatant attempts to maximize profits outweighed seeing a film on the big screen.
Went to the new Star Wars movie and the movie screen kept going to black. Management was very rude about it...
Rude staff with poor customer service
Great experience with good seating and sound system
Very nice movie theater. It's Thomas Theatres.
Nice theater, it’s never full if you show up slightly early! The movie I was watching in theater 10 flickered almost the entire time, which was pretty distracting and frustrating. The prices are pretty good too, especially if you show up for an earlier movie.
Standard movie theater with a drive thru!
Clean. Very happy with it
Clean and up to date
Impressive place, I enjoyed my experience very much.
Nice theatre with comfortable stadium seating. Great popcorn. Modern and clean.
Seats were too soft...Olaf death scene was heart-wrenching
Little pricey. But was worth the moneh
Not 100% handicapped accessible. Not one of the doors is automatic. Very difficult for a wheelchair bound person to get in. Also, no assistance offered. I was asked if I wanted to purchase concession items when I bought my tickets. I said I'd have to come back because I can't push a wheelchair and carry snacks at the same time. No assistance offered then either.
Nice extra wide seats & locally family owned, support your local businesses
Nicely elevated, spacious, comfortable seating.
Very clean
Clean and movie experience was great. Seats were comfortable and thought pricing was reasonable. Rewards program is worth signing up for.
Very nice, newer theater! Not huge and can get very busy.
Great place
Watched a couple movies here over the holidays: the green book and the mule. It's clean, the seats are comfortable, good movies.
First time going here and screen flickered throughout the movie, very distracting and annoying.
Used to reserved seating and larger screens but it was a decent experience.
Great atmosphere plus great service!
Fast and very nice seats
It show good movie and old movie
Great place and atompsphere but the snacks are a little expensive there but they have this great deal on Tuesdays
It was a very nice theater. If they keep the 5.00 movie I will keep going back.
Really nice place to go watch a movie..
Nice venue! Internet or on site purchase for tickets available. Also offers parties.
Awesome seats, very clean, good priced tickets. The ticket line is the same as the snack line so wait time is disgusting long when its busy. Why would you do that?
Comfortable
Always great place to enjoy a nice night out with the family or a date night with the wife. Comfortable seating and service is always great. Wish they had a bucket that we can get refilled for a cheaper price. But no one's perfect. Love this place.
Comfy seats and good deals on movie tickets on Tuesdays. Food can be a bit pricey though.
Great theatre. Probably one of my favorite.
Comfortable seats. Good experience.
Nice theater, but the only show in town and can get pricey. Not a fan of the upcharge on online tickets, nor of the new water policy.
Doesnt screen some movies. Probably doesn't like the ones based on anime/manga.
Nice an always clean.
Very nice atmosphere and easy going.
Everytime I go here in my wheelchair and i go to the bathroom, the water sprays me in the face! I've told the staff multiple times over several years and nothing has been fixed. The sinks are also at a terrible angle to wash your hands in when you're sat down, and there's no sink in the accessible stall (which is at the end of the bathroom so terrible if you have mobility issues but aren't using a wheelchair as I do some days) so you have to wheel yourself to the sinks with dirty hands! The actual cinema itself is lovely if you're an able bodied person.
I give it four stars only bc I visited other cinemas that offer amenities that I did not realize even existed at cinemas. This place is new, maybe 3 years old. They have very good sound quality and nice quality sized screens. It would be great if they had reclining seats, offered beer, wine and mixed drinks for sale and a pub type menu with waited staff to bring to you in the theater.
Good experience. The screens here are nuts -- I felt I could reach out and touch the characters in the TSX; it's like I was there! The prices are standard movie prices, and the men's bathroom is on the other side of the theater from the TSX screen, but it lets the women be closer, I suppose. Overall, great audio and visual. I'd recommend coming for the experience, but don't get the VIP chairs. They standard chairs are very comfy and leather, just like the VIP ones. It's not worth an extra $3 for more arm and leg room, in my opinion.
Enjoyable experience. Very clean!
clean
Great theater
Decent movie theater. Fairly clean usually. Gave us promotion cups from a movie that came out 2 years earlier when we ordered drinks.
I have enjoyed the service and movies at the Thomas Theater each time I have attended the theater. My question is will the Thomas Theater feature the movie Selma when it is released on December 25th, 2014 in the Thomas Theater located in Marquette, MI. 49855. Please advise as to when the movie Selma will be shown at the Thomas Theater in Marquette, MI. Thank You.
If you say the movie starts at certain times make sure they start. We sat through over 10 minutes of commercials before the previews even started. Our show was to start at 8:30pm. The lights only dimmed after 14 minutes.
Friendly and Helpful Staff, Never had a Dirty Theater yet, and don't expect I will with the way the staff takes pride in their work. ????
Nice, clean, and modern.
It is a nice modern theatre
Very nicer theater. Seats are comfortable, it's clean and easy to navigate. Staff have always been friendly. I do wish they honored fandango, but it's not enough of an issue to demote. Website is easy to navigate and I like pre purchasing my tickets. I do wish there was a scanner or something automated to scan my pre purchased ticket, or a person dedicated only for that so I don't have to spend so much time in line, but that's just my personal social awkwardness.
It's never full! I have been there multiple times and even went to see Aquaman opening night and there was basically no one in the theatre! The seats are very comfortable and the Audio is loud and the bass really hits you during action scenes. All around a very good theatre and definitely worth the visit.
Nice
Went to see A Star Is Born, Lady Gaga, Bradley Cooper, Sam Elliott. Took my wife, my daughter and her fiance. Bought the 4 tickets online. Movie was to start at 5:35 pm. We get there at 5:20, went to the concession stand (this is where you check in, show confirmation code, get receipt, which is a bit odd...normally at the movies there is a ticket booth, you get your ticket and then proceed to the gate or stop at the concession counter if you want something there) and had to ask what to do because it was different and not exactly clear. So, you have to wait in line at concessions regardless of whether you want them or not in order to check in and get your receipt/ticket. Okay, so I figure all that out, not a big deal, we're all excited about being at the movie theater, our first time at this one, and we enter the theater to find some seats...it is 5:28pm exactly. We notice Lady Gaga on the screen, people in movie watching ready mode, and I'm like where are the previews? THEY STARTED THE MOVIE EARLY, and we missed the opening! We were not happy about that. I mean, it wasn't that much but at the time I'm kind of not paying attention because I'm thinking surely this can't be the beginning of the movie... it's too early, I'm very punctual, I don't screw things up like that. But there it was. The movie started 6 minutes early, maybe more and so we missed the very beginning. It's not so much that we missed a lot and we couldn't figure out what was happening, we could, it was easy. It's the principle of the matter. START THE MOVIE AT THE DESIGNATED TIME THAT IS ADVERTISED, how hard can that be? Okay, I'm done with that now. We enjoyed ourselves for the most part. The theater was nice, good screen, comfortable recliner chairs, all the basics are covered.
VIP seating is so great
A good theater, all around. My one complaint is that the concession line is the same as the box office line, which can make things really slow on a busy day.
Comfy clean nice ppl, long lines
Wait for the DVD you need to take out a small lone to see a movie
Grand Daughter and I watched Toy Story 4 and Lion King.
Pricey , very very pricey, but what are you going to do when it's the only theater in town or for over 50 mile radius. But the sound and movies are pretty amazing I'll give them that
It is a good price and the staff are very nice.
Beautiful new theatre with comfortable seats. I like the Throwback Thursdays too; I wish more theaters would show old movies once a week.
Comfy seats, good screens, good sound
I was glad they played the movie Overcomer. Had to travel far to find a theater that was playing it.
Watched the new Star Wars
I am hearing impaired and couldn't hear Wonder Woman. I was falling asleep after texting (top row, didn't disturb anyone). I got up the nerve to go down and ask if they could turn the back speakers up or fix it so I could hear the words being spoken so I could connect with the movie. They were very empathetic and compliant. Super friendly as you would expect yoopers to be. We love coming up from Escanaba and watching movies up here. Very clean too!
ok place but no coke even though coke is the largest pop/soda supplier in the world
Great but for 2 was over 56.00 very expensive
Relatively new and shiny establishment that is plenty roomy to fill Marquette theater demands.
Excellent screens. All the seats are super comfortable. They all have a high back and slightly recline. The concession stand is lacking a bit. They could use a healthier selection of snacks.
Saw Venom...AWESOME
Amazing BEST
Lots of options to see the latest films in deluxe theaters.
Seriously, I think this theater rivals celebration cinema. When it comes to quality/comfort of seating and the wide/clear screens, this is a 'top-notch' theater.
Great service. Every seat is a good one.
Nice
Fantastic seats! Loved the show!
Love watching movies here with friends
Great place
Queen biopic was fantastic.
We typically buy our tickets online and arrive early. That said, all transactions have been smooth. Be sure you know which theater you're paying for-- some are smaller, others VIP. Comfortable seats, friendly/efficient service, clean/well-stocked bathrooms-- even when the theater is packed. Picture and sound is always good, no matter where we choose to sit. Prices are high, of course. (4 adults and 4 med cokes for $64.) Finally, I would love a hot coffee option, please.
Place was clean, and lines werent that long. Clean bathrooms too!
It's a very beautiful cinema. It has a large carpet map of the U.P in the lobby. Very nice theaters, beautiful pictures and clear sound. The seats are so comfy. The regular seats can rock back and forth, the arm between two seats can go up so you can be closer to the person you're sitting next to. The only down side is that the popcorn is not the best. The food is way to over priced.
Only 2 registers open on a Friday evening (with a new Disney movie being released) with a long line out both of the double doors. We had to miss the 1st 20 minutes of the movie and had to pay full price. Hopefully, management will be better prepared next weekend.
GREAT EXPERIENCE! Big city atmosphere decent prices and VIP seating is first rate!
I think I watched Cars 8 or something like that. Kid fell asleep.
Staff was rude. Stale and overly buttered popcorn made it unedible. On the bright side the theaters were empty so it was nice not havingd to fight crowds. Prices are good for the tickets but expensive concessions. Most items were out at the cessions but were still shown as being available to purchase. High prices and limited selections marks horrible times when trying to have a decent time at the "movies".
Spot on
It's good
I can't give them a 5 star rating even though I'd love to. The theaters are huge and so clean! The negative was that we drove 45 min to see a show and they were closed. The website and the showtimes out front said the movie would begin at 1, but no one was there and the doors were locked. Tried calling and got no reply.
I watched a movie and it had good quality and sound. I suggest going there.
It was okay went with a friend but to really pricey variety section of Pop
Dirty in the theatre. We were one of the first people in the theatre for our showing and they were still a mess
Great movie list!!
(Translated) thanks to (Original) Dank
Very comfortable and clean. Concession stand closed shortly after the movie started.
Basically the only movie place so you'll be going there haha. Snacks are overpriced like every other place so id recommend sneaking in snacks but don't get caught, I wont tell shhhhhhhh.....
Comfy theatre, staff is hit or miss
Clean and about what I expected
Clean and organized. We go here every year for Star Wars as a big group and we all have a great time.
Always clean and comfortable seating. Great deals like $5 mondays and $22 Tuesday date night.
VIP seats need door rests.
Really comfy chairs could use better sound though
Nice cushy seats. Great screen and sound.
Nice theater with good movie selection.
Clean theater with comfortable seats and a great sound system. The Staff are nice. It's fun to go to a new release in a popular set of movies as the staff dress for the occasion! Yesterday there were 3 cosplay people in the lobby!!
What a wonderful experience the Soo Tribe Elder Christmas party had on Saturday Dec 17 2016. We had set a date that could not be changed and Jeff O'Neil helped us through organizing a party for children and parents during the Star Wars opening at the theater. Living in the Upper peninsula, we know that the weather is a factor in our events. A winter storm prevented many from attending and some of our prepaid tickets were not used: Jeff allowed us to redeem for tickets to be used for one year, thank you His staff helped in so many ways that made this event excellent: move my car, carry in food, drink, gifts, and all that we needed for our party. So very impressed with all that these staffers did for us. Everyone helped with an attitude that we were the only ones that mattered. Although I do not have everyone's name, a few are: Travis, Terry, Ashley and all the staff. Thank you so much. this could not have been as successful as it was without all of you. Blessing in this Christmas Holiday. Judi Daley, Chair and all the members of the Soo Tribe members of Unit 5 Marquette.
Great service, excellent theater
Nice cinema. Good combo deals. Nice accessible soda fountain refills.
Very clean and they offer a ton of deals throughout the week!
Literally go there every Sunday cannot complain
Thomas Theatre is one of the best movie theatres I've been too. Very comfortable reclining seating and spacious, clean and excellent sound quality!!
Clean, comfortable cinema. Helpful staff and plenty of parking make this a nice theatre to visit.
Saw Venom..... comfortable seats....had a great time with my family
They charge as much as the mainstream movie theaters, yet decided to skip the upgrades. If your used to assigned luxury recliner seating, imax screens, premium concession options and a sweet arcade, you will be dissapointed. These guys have no problem taking advantage of their monoply on cinemas in the upper peninsula. If you gotta see a movie on tbe big screen right when it comes out, these guys are the 1st (out of one) choice.
Decent theater
This is really nice clean first released movie theater of traditional Hollywood movies.
Beautiful building with great movies, snacks, and seating.
I used to spend precious vacation time seeing as many movies as I could when I traveled to larger cities. Thanks to Thomas Theatre, the majority of my movie ambitions are now fully satisfied by the state of the art facility here in Marquette. I appreciate the extra details such as the U.P. map in the lobby carpet and their choices to give certain movies a longer run because of their artistic, cultural or other value.
Clean cinemas and restrooms. Friendly staff. Love $5 Mondays ????
Awesome seats very comfortable VIP seating is like sitting in a recliner rocker price is awesome
Always great service
You buy your tickets and the same cashier gives you your snacks. It's genius, and a step up from the old theater in MQT. It is a clean venue and the seating is very comfortable.
This is a great movie theater. The seats are comfortable and the popcorn is yummy. Love the decor which features a huge map of the U.P.
Movie experience was great and the popcorn was good. OUTRAGEOUSLY EXPENSIVE!!!
The lovely young man at the counter made my daughter's experience absolutely amazing. Thank you!
Great place, good people, always make sure to check time of movies before coming.
Famulous theater, everything is top notch. Seats are huge, and cup holders good too. Screen is pretty nice too, I like how the rows of seats are stacked, provides more visual space with using more height rather than length. They have a moderate selection of movies, they did run out of Beauty and the Beast tickets for the showing night on March 17th, but we were able to get the next show time. It is super romantic too, had my first date there with my bf. :)
Good service, nice seating. Wish there were more games outside in lobby
Very clean, COMFORTABLE theater. While it's a bit of a hike for us to come in to Marquette, if we have time we love stopping here for a movie. Worth the matinee $7.50 price tag
A little rude and overpriced. Other than that it was a good experience.
Nice facilities, but quite pricey.
Have always enjoyed my movie nights. Just wish they were opened more but due to the mist recent circumstances they are only open on weekends.
Great theater! Friendly staff.
Cool place to watch movies it reminds me of theater on 42st in new york
Worlds largest popcorn!
Decent theater, good popcorn
A good theatre but pricey.
Comfortable, roomy, reclining seats. Beautiful facility, friendly staff. Price is a little on the high side but worth it!
Clean, good sound
I have seen many movies here and I have enjoyed all of my experiences.
Probably the biggest cinema in the Upper Peninsula
Comfy seats, good popcorn, and good movies.
Good
Clean, good service, easy parking ????
The new theater building is absolutely amazing! The movie we saw had incredible digital picture quality and great sound. The seats were arranged in a cool tier style so all seats have a great view - the seats are very comfy too! The staff is extremely friendly and welcoming. Prices are low compared to most other local theaters. I will definitely be returning and would recommend this theater as the first-stop place to see any movie!
Expensive
Comfortable stadium seating, clean, good sound, good ticket prices.
Amazing
Surprisingly nice! Good deals for students too!
It's a great theater
Great small town theater with some bugs. Some projectors are running out of juice showing some dead pixels while others are too dark. Employees are great and they do a nice job cleaning the theaters and getting you your tickets. Wish they …
My family loves the family showings. We love the facility. Usually super busy when we go so cleanliness is so-so at times.
Great seating and very clean. Has a rewards program with different awards each month.
It's a theater. People here are blown away by it being new and clean, or looking very flashy and up to date. If they ever left town to a bigger city, they'd see it's nothing special at all. They charge big city prices, though. They're unwilling to bring in movies that are good, but not Avengers style blockbusters. (Resurrection F, Birdman, Ect.) And that is very disappointing. Overall, it's nothing more than what it is. Get gets a "Meh" out of 5.
Nice new theatre with spacious seating.
After paying $28 (for 2 adults & my son)for the new avengers movie in tsx 5 minutes until showtime, we entered the theater to find that the only 3 seats available were in the 1st row...of which NOBODY was sitting. In the dark I tried my best to find seating for my family without tripping over anything. After no seating was found and the movie starting I asked for a manager! The manager then asked me to sit in the front row....which is way too close to the screen to be able to see clearly, even if you're looking straight up! I ignored the fact that the theater and hallway were filthy with popcorn and other garbage only because I was so offended that a manager would allow tickets to be sold when the seating wasn't available! I paid for the "TSX experience" and did NOT get what I hoped to enjoy!!! After expressing my anger with the manager, I asked him if he seen how many people were seated in that row and his reply was "I'm sorry, you should've gotten here earlier". What does that have to do with them selling tickets for a movie that doesn't have suitable seating AND filthy accommodations???? I then got more angry at the "managers" lack of decency and failure to accommodate my purchase and I did swear at him because of it! I was asked to leave without any compensation for my purchase or failed experience! I have been to this theater over 25 times with my family and never have had anything but a pleasant experience, but after how I was treated and my family being forced to stand or sit in seating nobody else wanted, I will NOT give that place another cent of my money and I'll be SURE to tell everyone that I encounter about my HORRIBLE experience at thomas theatre in Marquette April 28th!!!!!!!
I am very pleased with the Marquette Cinema. Our old movie theater was so uncomfortable! The seats here are cushy and there is also the option of VIP seating, which is practically a recliner. Their rewards is something you should definitely get. See 10 movies, get one free!
Staff was friendly, clean facility, and waited on in a timely manner.
Clean theater. Good sound. Clear screen. Pleasant staff.
I love this movie theater. The staff is friendly and the seats are so comfy. And they offer movies I can’t see any where else near me.
It's the only theater within a reasonable distance so you have to like it. Not that it's a bad theater, it's pretty nice.
Nice and big but be prepared to spend 30 bucks for a matinee for a child and a senior if you get anything to snack on.
get new trailers for 5 stars
Pricey snacks (like any movie theater) but popcorn tastes fresh and there are lots of fountain drink choices. Comfy seats. The VIP theatre has larger seats and arm rests. Good sound and video quality. Friendly staff.
Up to date facility
Great place. If we can't have the old Delft Theater, then this is a modern substitute that is good to have.
Love this place, very comfortable and clean environment
Nice place to take the family
8.50 for a matinee is ridiculous. No discounts for senior citizens, kids, or active duty military. Theatre is small, staff is less than enthused to be here. The one star is for the seats themselves; soft and comfy, but I’d rather wait for movies to come out on Redbox than willfully drop $100 in an afternoon for a family of 4.
Very comfortable. Great sound and picture. Prices are a little high
I Like that you can get your snacks and tickets all at once. The staff was very friendly and the theater was spacious with plenty of leg room
lovely environment, I try to frequent as often as I can. I really appreciate the quality of each auditorium.
Don't have the best movies like Fifty shades of Black, Ride Along 2 and How to be Single. They don't have the most popular movies and that sucks
The middle right of the screen had small dark specks that looked like a swarm of insects which was annoying
Excellent
Excellent movie theater! Ive been going here for years, nothing to complain about really.
Everything
Great to have a solid movie theater in Marquette. And the manager legit looks like Tony Stark.
Beautiful theater with great seating and a helpful and courteous staff. The massive Lake Superior map carpet in the lobby is incredible.
Lobby was a huge mess over by the drink area. Other than that the place is really nice!
Loved Shang Chi!
Movie was cute but for 5 people it came to over 80. Medium sodas 5.50... Candy 4.50 is a little ridiculous.
Always very clean. Management does already job of handling busy periods.
Great movie and always a great experience.
Great theater
Favorite place to catch the latest. Choose from mega screen or a much smaller room with VIP seating/viewing. Get tickets online to avoid missing the show opening weekend. Good nachos!
Nice place..no long line..but it was kinda warm at auditorium 1
Always clean and friendly staff
Great theatre!
Great local movie theater
Beautiful theatre experience, but not good at bringing in movies such as "The Theory of Everything," the movie about "Alan Turing", "Birdman", and others. My wife and I looked forward to the new theater as the old theatre complex seldom brought in any thoughtful movies, movies that might require a few braincells to be activated. We expected more diversity from Thomas Theatres. Also; the popcorn is lousy.
Nice atmosphere. The lobby is expansive has interesting decorative detail with a very high ceiling. All accentuates the anticipation. The staff is young, friendly, and follow a dress code policy. This also adds to the feeling of experiencing a event.
This theater continuously disappoints me. They give off the impression they are entirely too worried about not making enough money (by cutting corners in service, availability and options) like the theater is somehow at risk. They have the monopoly right now. I wish they would instead focus on providing a great service and ensuring customers are happy so they keep coming back. What I want in my local movie theater is a laid back, clean, friendly environment with a variety of films and showtimes throughout the day. You won't get that here. They fail at everything but cleanliness. Many times the staff have come off as snobbish, annoyed, and unhelpful. Showtimes are at awkward time intervals with very few matinee options. They are sticklers about people putting their feet up on the bar; I've been interrupted during a film multiple times to be told to put my feet down. (And it will probably keep happening because I am going to do it again. I want to be comfortable and I pick those seats for a reason; so I won't bother any of the other patrons.) Snack choices are pitiful and they are not laid back at all about bringing in outside food. Popcorn refills cost money and their popcorn is substandard. Their film options are quite limited, for example they didn't have showings of Snowpiercer or Veronica Mars. Their rewards program is set up in such a way that you can very easily miss out on rewards. After a certain number of visits their system will print out a free ticket which you can't use then (because you just bought your tickets) and you better not lose (because their system doesn't save that information). They have local businesses support the theater through pre-movie advertisements and charge something like $300 a month. And yet they don't have Thursday night releases because 'not enough people would show' even though it doesn't seem like it wouldn't cost much and might work much better for some people's schedules (me at least). They finally started offering specialty showings like kids day but it is much too early and not designed to be disability inclusive because the movie is still quite loud and the lights are off. Probably the worst atrocity in my opinion is the lack of an IMAX. Sure, they have a "big screen" but it isn't anywhere near IMAX quality and they don't even have 3D for their "big screen". I still can't believe they spent all that money to build a new theater and didn't decide to include an IMAX. Why? I just don't understand. I wish they would have chosen to forgo the incredibly expensive looking carpet and put that money towards an IMAX instead. All in all, I just wish the other theater hadn't closed. Options are a good thing but apparently Marquette isn't large enough to support two theaters. So, I will keep going back to Thomas because its the only one in Marquette and, though I make the 20 min trek to Country Village Cinema on occasion, it just isn't reasonable every time. The best thing I can say about Thomas Theatre is that there is no reason they have to stay terrible. They could get better, and maybe someday they will add an IMAX. An IMAX would go a long way for me to forgive the other wrongs.
VIP seating ????
Well concieved, clean and great employees. The sound and picture were great!
Took my grandson there fit a birthday party.
Star Wars was awesome. Good guys win in the end. Very comfy seats and I like the tickets and concessions in one stop.
Love going to the movies and they offer a great experience.
Clean, friendly staff, comfortable seats. Everything good.
Great movie, and very clean.
Best seats ever, huge, reclines the back, arms lift up. Sound system fabulous and feels like your right in the movie. I don't like loud sound but this was great. I'm too far away otherwise I'd be going everyone a movie came out. Clean, friendly. Didn't eat or drink there as we ate out before we cane as om vacation in the area.
Always clean, freindly staff, warm theaters. Great offers and specials!
verry nice, clean and staff is friendly. only wish is for better matinee times during the weekdays.
Enjoyed and will again. Good value.
Clean and we'll managed. Staff is friendly and helpful.
Great comfortable theater
Very nice theathers. Seating is comfortable and well spaced.
Who doesn't love the movies. The theater is always clean and the staff is always friendly. They also have beer now if that is your thing.
Good quality and comfy seats but too over priced
I went and saw the upside for the second time it was absolutely wonderful. no language, violence, just kindness and humor and a good ending. we need more of those shows. the first time I saw it the theater was very cold and I had to zip up my jacket but tonight it was warm . love the theater and the nice comfy seats
Terrible service they locked the door in front of my face with me waiting to get in.
Extremely comfortable seats and the straws have spoons on them
Best Movie theatre in the UP.
Very good ????
They should always have a ticket only line. Also you can bring you're own refillable water bottle in as they don't give cups for water.
Wish they sold alcohol
Very nice and clean and comfortable seating
Pretty nice considering it's in a small town.
Wow, what a great updated theater experience.
Nice, clean and friendly
We always have a good time coming to watch a movie at the theater. Great accommodations and comfy seats. You can't go wrong.
I love our theaters. And I'll continue supporting. Just watched a 2hr movie in 90 degrees. They had the heat on. Almost unbearable. Only stayed to not lose out on my money spent. I walked out a couple times to find someone, I couldn't. I know it's the very late showing. Saw other people walk out of another theater. Asked them if they had a hot theater. They said they did not. The lobby was at least 20 degrees cooler than our theater
Comfortable seat clean theaters
Comfortable!
Really nice modern theatre
Awesome theatre!
New, clean, comfortable seats
Clean, comfy seats, and a great staff. I'm not a fan of theaters, but this one is good
Fun experience
Price of admission and refreshments are comparable to other theaters. The difference is that this theater is awesome. Offering large, adjustable leather seats, clean and inviting interior and classic decor, it was an enjoyable movie experience. When our movie didn't start on time the staff was quick to work on the problem. After 10 minutes wait, staff came in and told us they would give us free passes if they couldn't get it going in the next few minutes. Even though they got the movie going a few minuted later, true to their word, they were handing out free passes as we exited the auditorium. A first class experience that will make us regular customers.
Had fun with all 6 of our kids, with my sister and my mom
Great seats.
First run movies stadium seating clean. Will go back.
Loud - we always bring earplugs. And the amount of pre-show advertising is RIDICULOUS. Whatever happened to entertaining short videos to ENTERTAIN, or previews to other films? Thankful for my phone to entertain myself until the feature finally starts.
Great new theater, prices on concessions are higher than they need to be. Great early week deals though.
Seats are very comfortable and roomy. Prices are reasonable.
Always clean and workers are great!
So nice to be back at the movies!
Ask for the VIP seating...not the upclose seats, but the theater with the fewest seats. Comfortable with not elbow issues. Like sitting in your own private theater. Love it, thank you Thomas Theater Group for coming to Mqt
Best theater in the UP
Popcorn was burnt. Asked for new popcorn and they took it in back and filled with old popcorn that was disgusting. Very disappointed.
don't have 3D and the old theater did.
First time. Very nice
I like their specials, esp. for seniors! Frequently go here...
Me and my husband went to your theatre on tues this past week expecting to get the $20 tuesday special for Infinity war and we were bummed out that was not a option : ( the girl that waited on us was rude and didnt really have a answer for the reason she then went and got the manager who looks just like Tony Stark by the way, nice touch :) he was very helpful and very polite and explained about Disney and their polices. I understand about how things go just wish you guys would put something on your website about these things. We come here alot and the staff is always super friendly except today and the place is very clean and big city like! But we will keep coming back!
Really great seating, good popcorn
This was a very good theater. The seats need a little upgrade but otherwise it was good and go back next time in town or when I have a longer stay
Comfortable seats
I take my girlfriend at least once a month, we love going to the movies here
You can rent out a full theater for a totally affordable price!
This is the best movie theater in the Marquette area. Comfortable spacious seating, typical concessions. Value movies seem to be changing with Disney and Sony movies. Still a very good place.
Staff always friendly and helpful. Theater's clean. 3 stars due to it not being up to date with seat separations electronic leg and head rest, computer kiosk check in. Basically the theatre is newly built so everything is nice just not with the latest and greatest.
staff not the Best
Amazing presentation both on the outside and in. The whole building looks classy and quite wonderful. They have many showing rooms, and a good selection of movies and show times. Their bathrooms are pretty standard, and I can't comment on their concessions since I have not purchased any here.
Fabulous and modern little mainstream theatre. Most big budget films come through here, and a few smaller ones do too. The only caveat is to see a film quickly before it's gone!
Very nice theater. Only one in town now but has many screens and an extra large tsx theatre usually for the blockbuster movies. Price for ticket is pretty good but as always popcorn and a soda is like $10. Seating is on a good incline so you always get a good seat or can pay extra for VIP seating in the sweetspot with a better chair and a table.
Great prices and fun for the family!!
Awesome
Movie pass is if your a movie watcher then get this.
There are movies and AC perfect for those incredibly humid days.
I was thinking about seeing a movie. Then i thought, why not Marquette Cinemas. Marquette Cinemas, the right choice! *no affiliation with the coalition for Marquette cinemas. All views expressed in this opinion are strictly prohibited.
Ckean n good tuesday special -two for 20,two tickets two drinks n a large refillable popcorn(refill on popcorn 75. Free pop refills
Fantastic. Great movie great seats.
Was great! Took my mother to dinner and a movie, the place was empty! Had the entire place to ourselves! Amazing to be back!
Good seats but concessions were way overpriced!
Nice theater
Great movies
Nice and clean. Reasonable prices
Beautiful cinema, great service!
Nice operation. Clean, nice appointments in the 10 theaters. Staff professionally attired, attentive. Frequent enticement perks.
Had a problem with film, manager tried to fix it but in the end moved us to VIP theater and started film where it had stopped. Also gave movie passes for trouble.
I like this theater. I will like it even more if they add recycling receptacles
This theatre is very beautiful. Every time I come here I have a great experience! The staff, and management is first class all the way. Very friendly and knowlegable. Just wish you would get more food choices, and more art house movies. Why not have the nut cracker at christmas? Also it helps having a manager that looks just like Robert Downey Jr, aka Tony Stark. Just saying. Also I hope you get the shape of water soon.
Friendly and good popcorn. Comfortable seats. And the volume is not overly loud.
Love the movies there!
nice place to see a movie
Super clean, reasonably priced as far as theaters fall.
One screen flickers, lots of commercials before the movies. Clean and great seats though
Popcorn improved butter also tasted more like butter instead of oil
AWESOME PRICES AN NO SMALL THEATERS
Great facility
Nice seating. Sound is way to loud. Popcorn/pop is very expensive. Would go elsewhere if there was a choice. We very seldom go here.
Very clean, nice staff. Chairs are incredibly comfy. Also the 10$ student deal is ????
Good popcorn and very comfortable seat.
Was good
Nice, clean, new and the VIP theatres are cozy with big comfy leather chairs.
Very nice, clean and comfortable.
Awesome Tuesday movie deals. Seats are very comfortable
The place really needs to stop hiring 18 year olds
I like the seating
Caught the late movie on 1-2-19 and we had a hard time finding seats. Not because the theater was full, but because most of the seats were dirty. About an hour into the film I had to use the restroom. On my way back I decided to get something to drink. The three boys behind the counter informed me, without any eye contact that their tills were down and I had to pay with exact cash or get no change back. I asked for an icee, then they said the icee machine is down too. When I inquired further the boys said that their manager leaves early... Seems like you would want your tills open as long as possible to sell as much of the over priced snacks a possible. On the way out after the movie, there was one kid left sitting on the counter reading a book. Not acknowledging anybody walking by or thanking us for our business. The whole experience was poor, due either to horrible management or lazy incompetent employees.
Head usher was very rude, when we got out of our movie. Very strangley stared me and my family down. Really hope they replace him or something. Until I hear so I know I plan to not attend any movies in the theaters. Just a trap being the only theater in town.
Went out for a date night. 15 minutes into the movie we walked out because all the movie did was cuss and swear every other word. I walked up to an associate to ask for either a future discount or movie tickets for another night. I NEVER asked for a refund but all he said was they can't do refunds just because I didn't like a movie. And he said that they were all out of tickets for a future night. How do you run out of tickets??? Let's just say beyond waste of money. Not happy. They didn't seem to care. I've only walked out of a movie once before in another theatre in another state. They were understanding. This theatre was not at all. I don't think I'll be going back here again and I live right down the street! Your better off spending your money where people care about service.
Nice theater
Theater is great!
Really good theater. Super clean and excellent staff.
Expensive, even for a movie theatre. Poor customer service.
Clean and comfortable
Very nice! Friendly atmosphere!
Love the way the seats are placed, Marge Simpson hairdos and big hats don't get in your way, and they are comfortable. Love the affordability also.
Great place! Nice seats, big screen. A higher price for a better experience.
Good time. Snacks, popcorn, and pop adult and 3 kids for $61. ????♂️
I love the seats and the service was great went and seen dispicable me 3 with my son
I bought a refillable pop and then they turned off the pop machine
The best.
The set up for how to get tickets is very weird and causes a long line, the theater doesn’t get some of the best movies out for some reason? Or they do much later, either way it’s really sad and annoying, also if you enjoy a crisp soda, don’t bother, the soda machine almost always has flat soda, or it tastes like water... but hey! At least congestion’s are the highest I’ve ever seen! And the cup size is ridiculously small for each size! Enjoy!
Nice place I spent my hundred bucks to get a movie popcorn, pop and a candy lol sound is good quality seats are comfortable.picture quality is.great also staff was freindly
Comfortable seating, great sound & popcorn.
Nice theater
Clean cinema...love the popcorn n the specials :)
Best place for a family night or day out and or a date. Extremely clean and amazing looking inside and best movie experience I've ever had
Family day showings here are great! $4 a person makes it actually affordable to bring the whole family. The place is always clean and the staff is friendly.
So good to be able to see a movie again.
It's a relatively clean theatre that is identical to most large multiplexes that I've seen.
Nice venue but 20 miles away for us. Popcorn a bit greasy. And from someone who is short and has a bad left knee, the seats are uncomfortable. My leg/knee hanging over the seat starts hurting after a few minutes, and I have to put it in the space between the seats and sit sideways. Sorry, but I miss the Cinema 5 in Ishpeming with the shorter seats, non-greasy popcorn, smaller screens and closer to our house. That's why we don't go to Marquette Cinema much. BTW, the floor behind the counter was FULL of popcorn. When there is a lull in customers, the floor and counters should always be cleaned and wiped. The place didn't look very sanitary.
Nice place to go to. From time to time.
First trip there. Excellent facility. Very enjoyable. We'll return.
Just a theater over priced popcorn and concessions, and better quality picture at home
Love this theater always go here for movies, even though there's really no other options haha
Great place to celebrate the birth of a wonderful friend who wants to see a good movie!
Great movie great service
VIP seating big chairs, comfy!
Best theater around but they need to enforce checking VIP seating. Twice I paid extra when some Joe was in my seat with a regular ticket.
Love it but very packed
Recommend bringing a blanket, was very cold.
Great time very comfortably seating great soda and snacks and the staff wad very nice and helpful a solid A.
A wonderful addition - brings the big city movie experience to Marquette - The drive up window is a terrific idea. The Google Maps icon points at a corner with a vacant lot at present and not the actual theater location. Other than that, our first visit left us planning a return trip sooner than later - and it is a two hour one way drive for us to get there! Enough said!
Five star. Very clean bathrooms and very accommodating young people working there.
Nice friendly staff
Movie pass is da bomb. Employees here are pretty awesome too! Always say we won't get popcorn and a slushi... But we do hahahah
Its pretty good
Nice clean place. Friendly people
The staff is polite. The prices are a little high but the theater experience is absolutely wonderful here. The atmosphere and space is good and opening night is always an amazing time!
The cinema was clean and great and open now
