Currently the business has a score of 4 stars over 5 and that score was based on 127 reviews.
As you can see it reaches an opinions average is really high, and it is based on a large number of feddbacks, so we can be pretty sure that the rating is quite reliable. If there are many people who bothered to give their score when they are happy with the business, is that it works.
As you know, we do not usually stop to write tatings when they are correct and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or issue...
This Movie Theater is classified in the category of Movie theater.
Clean. Quite. Chairs could improve (sitting 3 hours not comptable)
Great local theater. Go in early afternoons if you want to avoid crowds.
It was empty!!! Had the entire theater to ourselves!! Epic during the week!! Popcorn was good too!!
Great place to watch movies. Not too crowded.
Reliable without bells and whistles. Been going here for the last 15 years. The cheapest ticket prices in Toronto. A small theater, but it adds to the local feel. Not a place with loud crowd and much loitering that malls tend to have. Some of the movie screens have below average sound, others have fantastic surround. Friendly staff, simple design, nice arcade, no complaints :)
Nice Theatre. However, the set up is a little confusing and accessibly can be a little tricky if you're in a chair.
Popcorn is always tasty. Nice clean cheap theatre. Seats are old tho.
great staff just missing the nice man that used to check our tickets may he r.i.p bring a sweater its a little chilly
Cheaper than other cinneplex theatres somewhat clean.
Honestly it's the coolest place ever! My favorite worker is Cass! She is so sweet, always willing to lend a helpful hand and really puts the guests first! Love her and the place!
The only positive draw about this theater is the price.
I like this particular location because of smaller screens and better seats. It's an older type of theatre without the abysma rumble seats and tight fit. I enjoy coming here for a throwback experience, having said that they do offer 3D movies!
Could have been a good experience if the staff was nicer... 18+ movie but rudely denied a 17yr old almost turning 18 soon. Told us we needed an adult, we did but got denied again. Swarm of 6-10 year old kids got in with an adult that wasn't even their real parents but still got accepted in????
Not the fanciest of theatres, but you usually can get tickets since it isn't a very popular location
Super staff! Very helpful and accommodating. Let my friend use the washroom before we got our tickets while we were waiting for people. Decent theatres. Pretty standard in terms of a cineplex.
Nice theater with friendly staff. Accessible.
Chairs aren't the most comfortable but you don't have to wait in lines, quick in and out and easy to get to the theatre.
It's a nice theater. Staff were friendly and it's very clean. I only wish movies weren't so expensive so people could still go and enjoy a movie without going broke.
Great location and friendly staff, easily one of my favourite locations to go to when I'm in the mood for a movie
Good location! Not that much lineups as STC!
This is probably the most charming cinema in the city of Toronto. There's this weird mix of 70s mall cinema, 90s carpet, old school cramped movie house, and 21st century corporatism that shouldn't work but does. Kind of lost in space and time. It's very rare that a multiplex has the charm of a retro movie house but this one does. You also always get the vibe James Loader is watching over the place still and it just feels right.
Plenty of parking space closer to theatre. Friendly staffs. Reduced ticket prices.. very good atmosphere to enjoy the movies with family.
Not my favorite Cineplex. Theatres are small, seats are limited so get there early for opening night movies.
I don't recommend it. I asked for fate of the furious tickets but they gave me other movie tickets.
This theatre is okay.... Compared to the others this one is more in a remote location, and it's small. Theres only 1 washroom and it's not clean, smelly, pee and toilet paper on the floors and no soap. They should have a staff that regularly checks in there because I was pretty annoyed with that situation. Other then that it was just okay.
I have been going here long before the days of James Loader sadly had to end. That man will always be in my memories like a pleasant summer day. It's not bad. Screen's a little small, but it's cheap on tuesdays although IT IS BUSY. That's good though, right? It's Cineplex so it's a financial blackhole otherwise. Popcorn and a drink? Okay, $30... Every other time it's pretty dead which is good for viewing, particularly movies a few weeks old, which also tend to run here longer. It's shoddy, but it's a public service.
It’s a small theatre but worth for money.
Prices for this location are good and the staff are friendly. This is a smaller theatre, so screens and lobby are also not that big, but still get a passing grade because of price. Does not have AVX and other premium movie going experiences. A nice theatre overall.
Cheaper prices here, seats are average and the screens are average in quality wise, saving a few bucks for a little toned down expirence but other wise it's worth it
Good if you’re a low key kind of person, cheaper tickets, less people and quieter. The only issue I had was the smell of the movie rooms, I guess the seatings or carpeting needs changing.
The cinema is a bit older than other cineplex.
Honestly i didn’t have the best experience. We went in to watch Avengers Infinity War and it wasn’t as expected. The movie was great but there were several issues with the theatre: - very uncomfortable seats, old and dirty - dirty surroundings inside the theatre rooms - sounds penetrated through the walls from other rooms - only 1 bathroom with very dirty stalls and toilets... and very dirty Because of the people I was with and the movie we watched, I would give it a 3 star since that’s what made the experience bearable. Service is excellent however.
I am used to large movie theaters as Texan, the auditoriums at this theater are too small and they don't seem to get cleaned after each show.
It was great. No line ups ned great seating
Like the fact that it’s not busy. But that’s probably due to the fact that it’s getting run down. Needs a fix up.
I've been going here since it opened. Half the time it seems they don't really care about your movie going experience. But I'll keep going because of the location, so I guess they know what they're doing .
Great selection of movies. Automatic paying of ticket is great! Concession stand can be a little bit slow at busy times. Facilities are clean and overall it was a great experience.
Doesn't have your typical stadium seating layout (like STC Cineplex); it's deeper much like Varsity's, but without the capacity. Just a note, the last time I was here, Timeplay was not working (or maybe not available)
One of the remaining few movie theatres that charge the least (around $8.50) and have non 3D movies. Usually very busy at night, so we try to go in the day/afternoon.
Horrible screen because it’s was too dark and blurry. The sound is horrible. Seats are horrible. This theatre is unsanitary and a scam. Don’t waste your money because after you watch a movie here, you will be writing a horrible review, so save your money by going somewhere else!
Nice place to watch movies if you really enjoy the computer generated crap. For me TCM is the place to watch real authentic movies.
Ticket prices are cheaper compared to other theatres.
Small neighbourhood movie theatre. Sits are always available. Good parking area.
Amazing Cinema for families. Small but quiet
Went for "Solo" on father's day. Popcorn and soda were Crappy. Soda was flat and popcorn was stale. 5th August. Why are the ceilings pot lights extremely bright when watching the trailer shows. Can't they be calibrated to a level that both people walking in and people watching the trailer are not inconvenienced.
Overall theatre is cheaper than most cineplex owned properties. As a downside of that, the seats are extremely small and uncomfortable with no reclining ability. The theatre itself are really small compared to most. Otherwise crowds aren’t an issue like nearby scarborough town centre, and still get a good selection of recent movies.
It is expensive but the VIP theatre in Pickering is a nice date night place. Go a little early and shoot some pool in the bar lounge area then settle in at your comfy reclining theatre seats and order dinner to be brought to you. Best bonus, no rowdy teens,no people on cellphones through the whole film.
Quiet theatre as there is usually no on here. In addition, the cheaper movie tickets makes me always go here to catch a movie.
This plave is horrible, the movie stopped half way. They should give us a free movie or popcorn coupon. I paid to watch a movie but I ended up watch a black screen for 30 min. This is acceptable
Horrible experience. Imagine watching Avengers end game and right before the ending war the power goes off and not even once, happened twice during the show.
Smaller screens and no timeplay, but one of the last remaining Cineplexes in the GTA where you can get cheap movie tickets. Conveniently located next to the highway exit.
Solid theater but seats are outdated compared to other movie theaters. A little uncomfortable at times.
Too bad to watch a movie.. The seats are completely uncomfortable to watch a movie and the cinplex is dirty..
Smaller and a tad dirtier than the one at Scarborough Town Centre. But the tickets here are cheaper at least!
Even though it's a smaller theatre it's really nice because not a lot of people go there and it's cheaper than the other cineplex theatres!
Decent theatre, but concession is always a ripoff.
Great price and selection of movies.
The movie theatre is quite small, and the whole place feels cramped.
Worst seats ever. Narrow and hard, they make long movies a painful experience. Theaters are small and not stadium seating so you can easily have your view blocked if it is crowded.
We like this place small and cozy near to my home always enjoy watching movie here and small area for kids play????
Floors are quite sticky and you loose the movie theater experience because there is no box office staff everything is a self serve kiosk. Concession stand staff is pleasant and very helpful
My favorite close to home many theaters so I can usually find then film I want to see
Great movie experience, but ridiculously high priced menu items $70 for popcorn and drink for 3 kids...the cost of the movie was ok, however ???? ???? ???? ????
I like this theatre, not crazy busy through the week and pretty good parking.
The theater was packed and it got really hot in there
Rarely lines and size of theatres are great.
I go to this theatre all the time and I enjoy the movies I watch there. For example, on July 30th, I went to watch the new Spider man movie there. I really recommend it.
Nice Saturday afternoon movie. Did not have anything to eat or drink.
Comfortable seating, plenty of space, service to your seat and advanced reserved seats. A little higher price but it brings the fun back into going out for a movie.
Having fun with movie and shopping. Lots of places arround in same plaza. Beers, Boston Pizza, Walmart and many more. Lots of parking place. Close to highway 401 and morning side avenue.
They need to turn up the volume in the theatres. It seams like it's almost a quarter less of what it should be compared to downtown Cineplexs.
Very good movie theatre and very low price. Usually not that crowded. Seats are averagely comfortable.
Decent movie theatre that are usually cheaper than the other ones around.
It's a smaller theatre compared to many but if you like small and remote like I do it's right for you. The people in the theatres are always quite and there isn't a big audience. Staff are friendly. I haven't had a bad experience prices are a little high but that's to be expected. Ticket office is often closed at night so machines are used to buy tickets. You can also buy tickets at the food stands. I would recommend the theatre great location dinning and shopping in the plaza around it. Each to their own opinions though.
This is a theatre that I wouldn't have thought to go to but bonus points for it being slightly cheaper than the other ones in the area. The seats are comfy, even though they don't recline. We didn't encounter large crowds or have to line up for anything.
Surprise that there is a lot more leg room then theaters in Vancouver BC
Decent movie theatre. Always clean. I find the ticket prices the cheapest of all Cineplex chain. That's a good start, when the snacks prices are outrageous. Avoid the combo that have candy. Actually no savings at all. Use your Scene points for free movies and snacks, after accumulating points at Cara restaurants like Harvey's, East Side Mario's, etc. And other places
Couldn't hear a word being said because the music was too loud and the screen was too dark. Waste of time and money.
It's not the newest cinema, it's pretty low tech and slightly dirty. Its definitely not comparable to the theatres nearby and should only be a backup option.
Smaller theater without all the bells and whistles, I like that the movie prices are cheaper, staff is friendly and ready to help when needed.
I saw one movie here back in the day and that was Jackass 3D. Me and my friend were the only ones in the theater and we were giggling the whole time.
Movie theatre is old, no avx no IMAX no VIP. But quiet and cheaper but tickets
Security camera doesn't work. Car number got hit while watching movie
This is one of my favourite theatres, smaller than most, but comfortable & close to home. As someone who goes to the movies a couple times a month, this is always my first choice because the employees are nice and the prices is are very affordable.
Went for the first time since the pandemic began and watched "Free Guy" with our very own star Ryan Reynolds. The safety measures being practiced is well worth visiting the location. Advisable to book your ticket ahead of time so that you can practice social distancing inside the auditorium and get your preferred seats. It felt great! Highly recommended visiting the location!
A better movie theater than most.
If u need not that crowded place.. this is it
They really do need to renovate the place. The seats are uncomfortable, benches are broken, the arcade is outdated, and the seats don't recline.
Awesome place for movies at an affordable price, less Crowded but doesn't have the latest technologies
Couple auditoriums and a few arcade games. They also have a burger place if you want something more filling for your movie
25 minutes of commercials before the movie started, after it should have started. Didn't I pay for a ticket?
If you are not looking for fancy then this theatre is for you. Sure it’s a bit dated, but that’s what results in less crowds and lower prices than other theatres. The movie on the screen looks every bit the same and the popcorn tastes just as good. So, if you’re interested in the movie only, vs the ambiance, come here. Lots of parking close to the entrance.
Very small but nice and clean!
Theaters are clean. No refills. Some treats, nothing too exciting. There is a small arcade area with Pacman, racing, basketball etc.
A great cinema...smaller than the big mall ones...less crowds.
I went to this place recently after covid, it's one of my favorite theatre to go to they are following all the covid protocols as well the place is quite clean. Also bought the poutine and it was okay.
Great Cineplex location with small theatres and great service. I honestly like this more than usual Cineplex location, the smaller setting feels a lot better to watch movies in. The large auditoriums can be distracting at times. Not too many people go here but more should.
Reasonable Tickets and located near Walmart. Theater not that cleaned and maintained. But it's fine to go on a Tuesday and watch a movie in there. No Bollywood movies
My Local Movie House Yes Nice Place Saw Blade Runner 2049
It was very intersting place to go, if you missed watching a movie you still could go there and enjoy it.I my self like it so much????????
Watched a movie and honestly it was very uncomfortable. The seats are all old and outdated and there is literally no AC I was boiling hot and just wanted to get up and leave. Watching a 2 hour movie at this place is a huge no.
Cheaper prices than Town Centre. Decent screen size. Seats could be a bit uncomfortable. No refill option. Not sure if town Center allows refill but everyone does it, I guess. But this place has no refills. Last auditoriums are very small. You are better off than taking the middle ones. Otherwise no point in paying and watching on small screen.
Kind of old, still it is a nice theatre
On days that I don't want to deal with huge crowds on half price Tuesdays, this is the theatre I go to. It's nice!
Went to see a movie on opening night here. I'm giving it 3 stars because it's just ok. Maybe a little less than mediocre. You can always get a seat here on opening night for movies (even though I think people may be catching on to that) but the picture and sound leaves a lot to be desired. We were here for opening night of Captain marvel and there's a reason you can always get a seat here. The sound is very quiet and the screen is pretty small in comparison to other Cineplex theatres. I'm still rambling on because Google gives you more points for a longer review. Don't even know what these points are for, but I'm still going though. If you're hard up and want to see something opening night go here.
Cheap, overall good experience. Not luxurious, but overall ok as is.
Theatre is cozy and comfortable. Smaller, but that's all you need. Prices are good. Lots of parking as well.
Nice theatre. Lots of screens so lots of movie options. Ticket was $13.50 and a medium popcorn was $10. There are two restaurants within walking distance for before or after movie meals or snacks.
Great theater never over crowded. efficient service.
Decent. Not soundproofed properly you can hear firetrucks during movies
Seating is uncomfortable. Not the biggest theatres. Location is good. Arcade doesn't have as much games.
Very nice people here. Taking care of everyone.
Seats aren’t clean and smell very bad
Pleasant experience. Good selection of movies.
Clean facility, Fast & friendly service
Just great Big Scenery .Specially Action Scenes Sound Quality And it's feel happy to Enjoy After pandemic.. ????????????????????????????
Great theatre and a bit cheaper than STC would recommend to anyone.
I LOVE this theatre. It is my new default. It is further than I would like to drive but fortunately for me as a audience member... the theatres are generally empty and the audiences respectful. I don't care about people whispering to each other... I care a lot if people are literally just talking a full or near full volume. I ditched the Cineplex at Eglinton Town Centre because the audiences were essentially wild animals and highly disrespectful to entire theatres worth of people. Because the theatre isn't generally packed I hope this place can stay in business because I love it.
Best place to watch just released movies. It is never too crowded, even on premiere night.
Very bad service! Cinema smelled of shoes and sweaty socks. Seats were dirty with popcorn on it that looked like it had not been cleaned in ages. Sound quality and speakers were horrible. Seats were tiny with no leg room. As excited as I was to watch "A Star Is Born", this cinema ruined the experience for me! They can definitely learn something from the VIP Pickering Cineplex! Never going again. If I could give it zero stars I would.
I like this theatre it has a really cozy vibe and it feels kinda nice has McDonalds right in the plaza too so there's another plus
Very nice staff, not really crowded, good movie selection.
Would not go back. Seats are very uncomfortable. Not very clean.
It's a good place to watch a movie
It's small, accessible for physically called people like myself. Very accommodating place. Staff very pleasant as well.
Nice theater, cheaper than others, but the screen sizes are smaller.
Nice small theatre .. more old school but cheaper ticket prices.
We had a great time as a family of 4
Staff is A+. The theatre is of a lower standard, but this is where my movie was playing. Quiet, not busy, good spacing between patrons.
It was not bad for a Cineplex theatre. However, to date I prefer the Lebovic location. Much more for kids.
A lot smaller than most locations, but it makes for a better experience.
Nice theatre and nice young people that work there very helpful. My daughter and I had a great time. Thank you :-)
Decent prices, nice theatres.
Love this place... don't go to RIP-OFF Scarborough Town Center Cineplex way too expensive
We prefer this theatre over others just because its cleaner and less busy during the day! Everyone here is nice and have had no issues with anything :)
Good quality for good price. Lately we prefer this theatre over others because it is very easy to get good seats on the opening day of a big movie. Big movies are usually shown on a bigger screen with updated projector and sound, while movies with lesser budget get 90's generation theatres (which are still very good and not crowded). Smaller screens provide more private experience. 3D movies cost dramatically lower in here (around $12).
Good theater overall, but needs some improvements to keep pace. The screens and seating feel a bit dated compared to the busier locations like Scarborough Town Centre.
Decent local theatre with reasonable prices. Typical sticky floor. ????
Clean Theatre and ample seating for shows. Ticket purchase can take a bit if time on a busier day, having only 4 kiosks.
Great old theatre,also inexpensive...
Love this small cinema. It's never too busy or packed . Great customer service
This place cheaper than the other place. But the theaters have small screen and lower chair. Nice price.
Theatre is usually dirty (food, drink on the floor). Screens are really small. Not worth the discount you end up paying. Better to go to STC
Delightful little theatre. Never really that crowded. Which is helpful
I have been coming here since I was 10. Always a good time at this location despite it being smaller than others. The staff is always nice too even if most of them are high-schoolers starting their first jobs.
They need to update/renovate this place. The seats are old and uncomfortable, every other cineplex I’ve been to for years now has comfortable reclining chairs; also the screens look old and picture quality seems a bit off too. Bit of a musty smell from the carpets I believe other Cineplex’s smell fresher. Lobby and rest of theatre is okay, they have an arcade. They had Candyman playing a day earlier than other theatres near me so I went here, last time I went I was a kid and that old man who took tickets used to work there. Rip
The theatre is decent. I enjoy going here because it is the closest. However, if I had the option I would go to a bigger, and better location. The service is fine. You can get the basic popcorn etc, or you can choose a more expensive, but finer dining option in the theatre. Good restaurants nearby such as Boston Pizza and Kelseys. No IMAX or D-Box. Simply a basic theatre, nothing special.
Pre show didn't start didn't start on screen. Just listening to the show.
Not a good experience at all, theater had a smell and especially not as clean as the others also it was so cold. Customer service was awesome just the owner needs to do some serious upgrades
Enjoyed the show and prices.
They don't have TimePlay here. It's an older theatre, but still a pretty good one. Prices are cheaper than at larger Cineplex locations.
Pretty standard theatre. Usual concession stand plus the Outakes stand as well. What you would expect. Lots of free parking here.
They keep locking the theatre and closing early at odd hours despite there being movies playing inside. Can’t purchase tickets or popcorn after making a trip to the theatre only to find it closed.
Good experience with good capacity, quality and sound, and quite a bit of 3D glasses available for 3D movies.
Older theatre but cheaper movies. Friendly and efficient staff.
I loved it!
Good theatre, reasonable prices for tickets, large parking field.
Great sound. Very personable staff. Great care taking care of their customers.
Cheap ticket prices but uncomfortable seating. I forgot what it was like years ago before the reclining theatre seat. I wasn’t use to it and I didn’t like it. That being said it wasn’t busy at all so that’s a plus.
Clean theater but a bit small. I was by myself in afternoon on Monday so no complain
Just enough facility, seats are placed low. Screen looks smaller than normal.
they don't have employees at the counter, trying to save money but keeping rest of the things same.
Very small theatre but great price
Great theatre! A bit small and less of a modern design. It's still a great theatre.
A hidden gem: this theatre, despite lacking the latest Dbox chairs, etc etc, is great for the family. We've never seen it very busy, which worries me, but it's a bit less expensive than other locations, and we always get great seats!
Oh I love going to the movies with my daughter and this is a great place great staff
Great food options, clean location, big theater with lots of purchasing options and giveaways
If you want to have a relaxing movie night away from the crowd, this is the place to go
Quite small. Seats were uncomfortable
good place to spend couple hours
Clean, organized, great food counter with quick service. Lots of parking. Near the 401 at Morningside in Scarboro. Restaurants and stores nearby too and also a Walmart.
Nice movie theatre, a little bit old style chairs but nice.
I was planning to watch Star war on a Sunday afternoon. Pickering cinema was rather full, Morningside theatre was practically empty. So I came to this apparently old cinema. The facility is very clean.
leave your wallet here and it's getting stained idc who you are the Mandem in Scars are a different breed styll.
Tickets are cheaper than other cineplex. Small but pretty.
Amazing such great accessibility for my daughter service dog ♡
Our favorite theatre... Staff is always friendly and helpful!
Clean theater, polite Staff, of course good popcorn. The washrooms are scary...
There was gum under my seat..........it got on my leg. Bad day to have shorts on.
I couldn't find any ticket for Endgame except this theatre. Screens are a bit smaller. Seats are fixed. Seats in newer theatres can recline a bit. No wifi and no timeplay.
Great theater great food.
I love this theater. I attend with my children and sister. I love the atmosphere and the theater is always clean and nice. The people who work here are always professional.
This place is a local treasure. It is nice and small yet big enough and quiet enough. This theater does not offer any special kind of screens or experiences but if your looking for a good quality weekend movie this is the place to be. You get the full experience of being at a theatre and yet it feels just a little more cozy and nice.
The most horrible cineplex you can go. The movies started with delay without any explanation or update from them. The auditorium smelled horrible, like a gym that hasn’t been cleaned for ages. Avoid at all cost and go somewhere else to watch movies.
Disgusting. Literally smells and looks like they haven’t cleaned their seats ever since they opened.
Good movie theatre that not too many people go to. Went to see Star Wars: The Force Awakens during the opening weekend and there was a very short line up - we were able to get very good seats and only arrived a few minutes early.
Tickets are always cheaper than other cinemas. Sure there's no fancy AVX, DVOX, or IMAX, but it's almost never crowded and getting your tickets and food is quick
Not the cleanest Cineplex you'll find but the prices are lower than the others
Perfectly conducted as per by COVID -19 protocol. People working there are very kind and professional. Great work team.
The fact that it's automated saves time. The staff at both food counters can be a little nicer. They don't seem to like their jobs very much and it shows.
A good place to see the blockbusters when they are in their first weeks since 3 of the screens are quite large. Otherwise, the other screens are merely OK.
This Cineplex is small, and cold. Outdated theatres, and gaudy new modern additions to this location. The biggest benefit provided from this location is that it's cheap, and not usually busy. Therefore it gets a 4-star rating due to my own personal cost-benefit analysis of my experience. I personally have many fond memories of coming here when I was younger.
It’s a good theatre, but the seats are incredibly uncomfortable. I find myself not being able to concentrate on the movie at times just cause I’m trying to find a comfy position.
Less busier, less pricing, less people = good movie watching experience. Still offers non-3D options which is great for those who find 3D too dizzying too stimulating for the senses. Lots of free parking. Conveniently close to the 401 and a Walmart Supercentre. Also other food places nearby like a Kelseys or a pre or post movie meal.
Not to many people always the best popcorn
Haven't been here enough to form an opinion. 1st time was pretty standard if I do say so myself. Went to see the Incredibles 2 here with a buddy. Theater was clean and the staff were friendly and professional.
comfortable, a lot of parking places, a large scene, free movies with scene card.
Just like what you would expect from a Cineplex nothing bad..but nothing special.. it is a theater.
Good experience for a local theater, sound is really good there.
I'm a moviegoer and this theatre is great for those (like me) who hate big crowds and just want a peaceful movie experience. The theatre brings me back to the theatre that was at first markham place. (Retro style). I thought parking would be an issue but no problems at all trying to fight for a parking space. Of course the theatres in Markham and stc are alot better in terms of modern interior and technology, but that doesn't bother me too much. The only downside is there is no timeplay which is understandable. Otherwise, I recommend it. I will definitely be back!
Low-key place so it's often not packed
very old school and unconformable seats. the screen is old and small. not a satisfied experience to watch a movie here.
Conjusted seats , if you other option go for it.
Nice and clean. Cheaper than most other theaters. The quality of the movies watched here is not inferior to any other theater.
One of my favourite Cineplex Theatres! The staff are always friendly, and the lines are never too long
Smells like pee but friendly. Good service.
My niece and nephew loved this place! Much cheaper admission and food costs. Really like the retro feel of the interior.
First time here . Only issue is I could hear the sounds from the other theatre. Clean place.
I would not recommend this place to see your favourite blockbuster. There is no AVX, no reserved seating, no Imax, no Dolby Atmos. However, if there's a movie that you that you just want to see, or a spontaneous decision to see a movie. Or you just need something a little cheaper in ticket price, this is the place to be. The cinemas are cleaned regularly, they have decent food, and they have become just as automated for ticket sales as larger Cineplexes. This was once a happening spot for Scarborough, but has since seen a decrease in patrons. If you're not looking for all the bells and whistles, if you just want to see a movie, this still a place to consider. That's why 4 stars.
Nice theatre with some amazing screens. Late night isnt ideal as they only use the left over slightly stale popcorn and the seats in the smaller screens leave you with a sore back but other than that its a nice place.
You can find places when other cineplex are full
Clean and friendly.
It's quaint and small, but I love that about it. Gives a homely movie feel. Way better than that of the one in STC
this theatre is okay for a compact experience but 80% sure there are bedbugs in their seats. theatre room and seats are pretty unclean. go there at your own risk!
I remember when this theatre was built. It was around 1997 and was state of the art for it's time. The cheap prices are what make people continue to come back. It was one of the only theatres in the area as the Cineplex Odeon at Scarborough Town Centre shutdown in 1999 for the new Famous Player theatre. The theatre suits the neighbourhood, but does need some renovations for stadium seating.
good prices for movie tickets!
Screen size is too small compared to other theatres.
Watched Get Out at this location on a Tuesday night. Theater was packed. Usually that's a bad thing, but the side commentary was hilarious. Smaller theater but definitely cozy as it usually has less people.
I grew up watching movies here. Cheaper than the bigger cinema's
I'm giving it 5 stars for sentimental reasons. ❤️ Hope we can keep it in the neighborhood forever
Just needs the D-box seats to be 5 star
Don't go on a Tuesday unless you want to listen to everything but the movie.
Excellent staff, convenient parking and very good viewing experience.
Free parking. Older theater. Staff are very helpful
Went here a few times and really like it. The staff is very helpful and the theatres were large and comfortable.
Went to watch Spider-Man NWH and honestly couldn’t thing about anything related to the theatre itself. Viewing experience was as expected from any cineplex; amazing! The staff are friendly but my only gripe was that near my specific seat, the floor was a bit sticky but didn’t distract me too much. Maybe it was my excitement for the movie, but was good regardless.
Ok very low and old seating , really like that they have the wheelchair seating
It’s nice, but the theatre rooms are small and the screens are small compared to other theatres
I would give 5 stars but with all these restrictions and current lockdown i cannot give 5
I went to see Kong: Skull Island on Mar.19/17. This movie is rated 14A. A family came into the theater, with a few adults and 7 children, all under aged. The babies, I think there were two, were crying throughout the damn movie, which pissed off a few of us, not because of the crying but because they were kids who shouldn't have been let in to watch this movie. Morningside let me down on this one.. for letting under aged kids into a theater which was 14A.
All good...saw alternate movie since first time ever, show we originally went to see was sold out... still good time.
This cinema started our movie over 20 minutes late and the cinemas are small and run down. We won't be attending this location again.
Seats are very uncomfortable and the movie screen was very dark. I'm not sure who is in charge of picture quality but this is ridiculous you go to the theatre to have a positive experience but to have the picture quality so low it's a disgrace. I deal I got ripped off.
This place has been here for years and I hope it will continue to be here. The prices are extremely reasonable, the staff are always in a welcoming mood even on off days, the service is great. I enjoy coming here because it's what I want no fancy gimmicks just simple seating and your movie. No ultra avx special 4d garbage that is extremely over prices and forced down your throat. I have been going here for roughly 9 years and I will continue to go here as my main source. They have recently add assigned seating for big blockbuster titles which is great. They also have discount Tuesdays and it feels like a real discount. Highly recommend this theater and of anything ever is wrong with the film or service management is extremely polite and does absolutely everything to ensure the customer is satisfied.
Nothing much to say. A theatre that showcases blockbuster movies. It has a mid-sized arcade if you're into that, and typical overpriced movie food.
Watched crazy rich Asians. Great experience during the movie. Only downside was before the movie there was some flickering of the lights that went on for at least 5 minutes. It was highly distractive but it stopped once the movie started
The seating isn't as big as other places but still a nice place and close by for Tuesday movies.
Very disappointed in the seating for outakes...tall tables with tall stools.. Completely not accessible... Persons with disabilities are not able to use. What year do we live in? What happened to acceptance and diversity?
Dated but does the job. Best prices around.
My favorite movie theatre in Scarborough. Lots of parking. All movie types. Restaurants close by.
Cheaper than most theaters but it can be dirty
I wish I could go back in time. There must be so many rich executives with such a cheaply run and experience. I guess that's it for me -You can feel the efficiency and thrift.
Small but always clean with professional and courteous staff
Good
Always enjoyable...no exception today????
The seat are not to comfy but he price is great also not as busy as other Cineplex odeons
Old but cheap. The games/machines are good for kids.
Your cinema is old and dirty and smells .
Cheaper then most Cineplex locations. Small theatre sizes and quiet. Not as busy as most.
I love this place. This is where we go frequently to see a movie. Rocket Man was the most recent movie we saw. Great movie!!
Good location with lots of restaurants. The Cinamaplex is clean, with few fast food eateries.Ticket service was quick & the staff very helpful.
Nice theater with regular food offerings
Nice small not crowded theatre
I love this cinema, much cheaper than other cineplex. You can buy a ticket in CAD6.25 with 125 scene points/~CAD8.07 for 3d movie with 200 scene points. My favorite cineplex in GTA.
Great place, been coming here since it opened
Always been a good theatre. Never had an issue
one time i come to watch straight out of the compton. but the lady is ask for id, i give it but she is say i am underage so i am nit able to watch that one.
Fun times. Need to fix some of the games in the arcade as many weren't working
My family always comes here because of short lines, good customer service, good staff, and not many people so that =good viewing expirence
Comfortable seating and nice to be able to have food and drinks delivered to your seat.
Smaller than average screen size and at times a little dirtier than other locations.
Quiet and inexpensive..but miss the old man who takes the tickets
the price is very affordable.. so many children are coming there to watch..
Visited today for Endgame. The facilities are OK. The staff are alright. Nothing outstanding. Just ordered popcorn and a drink today. Usually do nachos and dog but have had to track down the person who might be working in Outakes and didn't feel like doing that today. Definitely getting the service I am paying for at this lower cost theatre.
Friendly staff, neat and clean location
Theater was cleaned but lack of sound quality which we normally expect from Cineplex.
Not so comfy seats but overall a good experience for watching a movie
The screen was to dark and the seats are very uncomfortable! Waste of money!!????????????
Cinema is small... and crowded... not like the other cineplex
Best place to enjoy a night out at the movies for the budget conscious. IMO it's too expensive to see movies at theatres now so I don't go much anymore but every now and then you need to socialize so this is my preferred theatre where it's a bit cheaper. Screens are smaller and seats more crammed with less legroom than other Cineplex but that it's worth the tradeoff to save a few bucks. Higher class affluent audiences can find better elsewhere but this place fits my style. Highly recommended.
Nice, clean theatre but like most other theatres the snacks and drinks are grossly overpriced. Take your own treats.
Good seating angle and great sound system
I usually have a great experience but this time the heavy rain led to technical difficulties. It was first 3-5 minutes until the movie continues next thing you know it's been 30 minutes. Long story short they ended up giving us free passes because they couldn't solve the problem promptly so we had to leave. I felt sorry for the parents because the kids got restless. I hope they find a solution for that to never happen again. Mostly sad bcoz i didn't get to finish the movie, the nachos were amazing thou
Not flashy, but has ample parking and within walking distance to restaurants. My go-to place to catch a flick.
Out of date and ghetto, but can't say no to the ticket prices which are cheaper compared to other Cineplex locations. They have quite a decent arcade as well.
Been going to this movie theater since childhood feels like home now
A fave part of the neighbourhood. Clean, comfortable , friendly staff
It's a great place if you don't want to be in jam packed environment. I went only once and there was less people in the movie I was watching. From my experience it's great. Don't quote me on that Google Maps.
Sad place dark Alley don't even have pre show playtime
I cannot justify the cost of a movie theatre, just not worth the budget. Popcorn is WAY overpriced and hardly worth it
A solid 4 stars!! This cinema had one of the longest and most amazing employees to ever work. He will always be remembered, RIP James Loader! Overall solid experience, good customer service. I even witnessed a customer go to the concession stand and ask for extra nachos since he still had cheese sauce, to my surprise they refilled his nachos lol. The theaters itself are a good size and sound system is great. Overall good experience!
Never too busy and employees display above average customer service
As movie theaters go good experience nothing special
not the best movie theater. Theater is a little bit dated. However, for the price which I paid for it, it is fair.
Quaint little theater but sassy extremely polite friendly and go out of their way to make you experience good
Small yet not crowded theater. A bit dated. Barely any lineups during the evening on week days. If you want to avoid crowds and annoying teenagers this one is much better from STC Cineplex
Simple and quiet. Not the most popular theatre but it did it's job.
Comparable to the other, newer Cineplex facilities in the city, this one is probably closer to the bottom in terms of interior design and atmosphere. This place hasn't changed in the last decade; although it's still a place to go and watch a movie. 3 stars because they still provide you with the opportunity to watch movies with a decent experience but due to the evolving infrastructure and service of all the other Cineplex in the area this one does not match up.
Tight seating if place is crowded enough for seats next to you to be filled
I haven't been to this location in a while. I love that they now allow seat reservations. Keep up the good work!
I have always liked this Cineplex, however it needs a facelift. Good location, good parking, just need to be more contemporary and attractive.
Came here to enjoy a movie with a friend for family day and our experience was completely ruined when we saw 2 mice running around in auditorium 4 of the theatre. Will not visit again and really hope I get compensated.
This is a classic movie theatre… If you’re from Scarborough you will understand the greatness from staff to environment. I will never go to another theatre because the staff are dope and the experience always good. Ppl complain about seats and it being outdated but are not understanding the PRICE IS RIGHT for a reason. They are respectful for ppl with accommodations and Management actually know how to provide customer service. So Visit and enjoy the greatness. #ScarbzGem
You get your money's worth
Majority of the time our popcorn is burnt. Thank goodness for butter and white cheddar! The staff were not very friendly.
It's a small theatre and not the most comfortable seating. But, it beats trekking to Scarborough Town for a movie and paying more
Best value movie ticket prices in the area, especially on tuesdays. Large screens and all the latest movies. Only downside is that the seating is classic upright not reclining like more modern theaters. Could be an issue now that so many movies are now over 2 hours long.
Cheaper than most. But downside is a smaller cinema
It seemed pretty empty for a Saturday. But I watched a great movie so it was all good. There was a sign for us to purchase our tickets by ourselves so there was no one behind the counter. It would have been nice for staff to be there in case we could not find our way to the right place for our movie or at least for someone to show us where the 3D glasses were. They weren't hard to find, but I found it funny that there were no staff around there( except those selling snacks and all)
Been going to this theatre for about 17 years. Seen more movies than I can remember. It's perfectly fine. Selection of movies, movie food, prices, cleanliness, overall experience - all perfectly acceptable. Not over-crowded. Not flashy. Just. A Movie. Theatre.
An older cinema that's a bit run down. Very few staff to look after the theatre goers. Nice and close, and lower priced than bigger cinemas. Sells beer at the snack-bar now along with the usual stuff. Seats are reasonably comfortable, roomy and decent leg room.
Relatively clean and family friendly. Appears a little dated, but it doesn't detract from movie experience.
This place is slightly cheaper than other theatres in the area. Kept clean too. It's very sad going there since James the ticket ripper passed away. The theatre hasn't been the same since.
Small screens but very clean and friendly staff
This theatre is a one of my favorites, good popcorn, services, food options. Also the games are fun even tho it's a very small selection in a little secluded area. The seating is comfortable. And there is alot of parking and other shops and restaurants around if you are looking to make it an evening out.
not too crowded compared to other Cineplex in scarborough.. but same quality as others
Finally they are open! they control occupancy well during this special time.
After long I visited this places very quit not much ppl after COVID they followed all there Protocol as per the Rules
Great place to see movies. Not very busy.
One of the best place to go. The staff is friendly and a nice atmosphere
Love this 90 s style theater. Been going for many years. Beats all the rushes at the other theater & very accessable-unlike the nearest other theater.
Cheap prices but not the seating & screen sizes is a bit small
wounderful older théâtre. the lady manger la the n'est. eaiting to der Joe they houner the legendary ticket taker and Friend To all. ego Worker over 35 years..for cenimas incpuding manu at Thiers.
Cheaper admission tickets compared to the rest of the cineplex theatres. Theatre is still stuck in the 90s, with old arcade games and the retro layout and design. Theatre is never packed, but the floors could use some cleaning as it gets sticky. Parking is tight as it is shared with the plaza, so be prepared to drive around a bit. Screens and audio are big enough to enjoy the movie and seats are comfy. If you just want to see a movie without the frills, this would be the place.
Too many auto checkouts and displays . I prefer dealing with people
Been coming here since I was a kid. 10+ years and still a great experience ????????
Everything was great including the price. The seats were less than ideal but nothing too bad.
Love it this time. However lady Manger (a big women) Is a monster. Very mean and targets black people
It's an okay theatre, no bells and whistles, but it's a little cheaper than the big fancy ones. Been there lots. They sometimes close the ticket booth late at night on slow days and you have to buy from the concession stand. It confused me a little the first time I was there. Other than that it's pretty standard movie theatre fare.
Nice theatre, good staff, clean cinema halls, overall very good!
Old school place theatre is outdated and needs to be renovated. Small screen, no reclining seats, smells like urine and mold and walls are faded. No WiFi and no time play. Pretty ghetto theatre. You also have a pay self serve ticket booth no teller to help you. Cheap prices for a reason should be Tuesday price all day of the week to be honest. You get what you pay for. I wouldn't come back here. I'd rather pay the extra $3 to go to Scarborough town centre and have bigger screen, better seats and modern system.no VIP screen, avx etc.
Clean and large.Great place to see a movie.
If you've got a family, this one's great. Super easy to get to/navigate the kids. Best ticket prices around.
Small cinemas, but it has good price for tickets.
good parking, less crowd, and good customer service.
Right off the 401, easy to reach. Never too crowded. Lots of great places to eat nearby. Nice staff.
One of the worst theatres i have been to. The staff was rude, and for a friday there was a whole lot of run around just to get a ticket and food. After being told to move to the next counter to be served, the person behind me was served. Cineplex Odeon Queensway is far better run and managed. First and last time i will come to this theatre.
Over 22 mins of ads at start of movie. W.t.f!
Small but great theater
Not a ton or people i enjoyed it....only downside is you can hear the other movies playing if your movie Is silent at times
This theater needs a full blown renovation. It's not comfortable to sit in and the theaters have a smell. It serves it's purpose but needs some TLC.
It's an OK theatre, a bit cheaper than at Scarborough town center
Not a high end theatre, but very fair for the price. A long time staple of the community as well.
Great so far. Haven't been there a while I wanted to see a movie that wasn't showing in my area so it was showing here so I drove over. It was good. No complaints.
Lovely cinema. A little quieter these days.
The place is really nice, it's pretty easy to find a parking spot... not a place with too much rush... food options are good.... the washrooms are clean and well maintained.... a nice place to watch any movie...
Wasnt crowded...very nice employees
30 year old theater that is missing new technology available in theaters at Scarborough (AVX) and Pickering Town Centres ( VIP AVX ). Great price $11 for seeing movies here as opposed to $16 elsewhere. Washrooms need a bit of TLC but staff keeps them clean. Theater 6 is largest theater followed by 7, 9, 8, 1. 10 and 11 are smallest. I find sound system in 7 inferior and avoid buying tickets for this showing.
Always great watching movies at this theater ????
Friendly staff, clean, good social distancing, comfortable seats. They had starbucks drinks in the theatre! It’s sad that very few people go to the movie theatre now since the pandemic but it meant it wasn’t busy and a great movie experience!
Great customer service and the theatres are always clean
Love morningside Cineplex
Morningside Cineplex. Not too crowded on a Tuesday night, friendly staff.
The seats are gross. This place needs an upgrade asap! Also, the staff are so unprofessional. The crew member just came up to my family and I and demanded that we show him our vaccine passport. Not even a "hello" or "hi". Get some class. Don't waste your time coming to this run down place.
Saw a movie here last weekend and the surround sound system wasn't working. They refused to acknowledge the problem and didn't offer an apology. The seats were also very uncomfortable. No wonder the parking lot was empty on a Saturday night. Won't be coming back here again.
I have been to this theatre for several years and the service is great. The prices are low compared to the cineplex theatres in big malls plus Morningside theatre is small and cozy. I would definitely recommend coming here.
Decent theater not usually too crowded.
Great prices on the movies good selection of the movies and friendly staff
The movie was good..After in the womens bathroom the door fell off the hinges from the wheelchair stall and hit a child. More maintenance needed???
Superb experience, been going there forever and it's always a pleasure. The staff is great. Prices are the best there. It's always clean and I had a bad experience once there but the manager ( Emily W ) took care of it so well. That without a doubt I am loyal to that location for good. Well done Cineplex !!!
