Once a year Lachapelle offers a Christmas performance to remind us the true meaning of Christmas. This here the team performed at St-Denis theatre. The place is very very big. The rooms are spacious and so are the seats. Even from the last row in the back you see and hear every thing and you don’t miss any detail. However the space between the rows is not enough so you have to stand up every time a person wants to pass.

The sound system is awfull. The seats are cramped. There's only one row of speakers in the front so if your front row it's blasting in your ears and if your in the back your going to have a hard time hearing the voices. I was in the middle and the sound was muddy. You feel like your in an airplane. Very bad venue. Places-des-arts is a much better place to go see a musical.

It's a good place for theater type shows or cabaret music. One of the most memorable spectacle I saw there was Slava and I hope anyone can experience it.

Location: In the Quartier Latin, where you will never find parking no matter how desperately you try. Stick with the metro - Berri isn't too far away (about 10-min walk). The place: Surprisingly, this was my first time seeing a show at this theatre (probably because the lack of street parking discouraged from ever going before!?). I was there to see the Blue Man Group, and would say that this venue is great for this type of performance; the theatre isn't huge, but no matter where you sit, you'll get a good view of the stage (unless someone really tall is sat in front of you, which of course, was my case). We were upgraded because our seats were behind the sound board, so that was a nice touch. The lobby is a little small so when the show was over, it was pretty sardine-like, especially since they had a merchandise stand set-up on one side, and the Blue Man people came out to meet people - everyone 'had' to get pics taken with them. Of course. All in all, a solid place for a show.

Located in a very vibrant, live and artistic area of montreal, this theater is one of the oldest in the town. The salon is very clean and nice, the staff are friendly, and the quality of sound is very good.

This is a gorgeous theater that we absolutely love going to! It's very well organized, beautiful and perfect. It has this classic look like an old movie theater from the 50s except it's really clean and nice too. The seats are comfortable as well and the staff is very professional. I've never had any problems here and would really recommend Theatre St-Denis to anybody!

Attended Dominic Paquet's show which was fantastically hilarious. The man is brilliant. The theater however, despite it's cleanliness and courteous staff, is showing it's age and design. We sat in second row balcony and due to the low rake seating design, could not see much. I imagine the people even further behind had zero or almost no view at the stage.

It is hard to enjoy a show if you are not in the first seats. Drinks are way too expensive. Not a good experience even though the show was great.

This theatre is great. Performances are varied and the layout of theatre is pleasing. The sound quality has never been a letdown. They have a website so you can plan which events to attend. The area is a fun place to be and there are many restaurants to eat before going to the theatre. The metro station is nearby and stops at the station frequently.

Every seat is a great seat! Even people in the back of the balcony got an extremely good view and can make out fine details of the performers.... I was on the side and my view was not hindered in any way!!! A must-see theater for any show.... Highly recommended

Went to see Serge Fiori x Cirque Éloize "Seul Ensemble". Very clean venue, staff is polite and helpful. 1 min walk from Berri subway station. Close to nice bars and restaurants. The sound during the show could've been better but all in all a great experience.

This theatre is ugly in and outside. Cant beleive a city like Montreal has a so ugly theater. It s time to destroy it and built a brand new modern one. The outside facade is so ugly with dirty pink granit from the 80s. It totally hides the original front from 20th centery. What a bad decision they made! Inside the seats are boring old small and no dexoration. Boring boring. I will never got back there till they make a major renovation.

Theatre ok, but website advised doors open at 7pm for il divo concert, when in fact they made the entire crowd stand in the crowded lobby for 1/2 hour until 7:30 before opening the doors. Also, best to use metro.... traffic terrible.
