Great place to catch a movie. I went there a few times with group of kids, by myself and even with my baby. Every month there’s an option for mommy’s to come with their baby and watch a movie , they have bottle warmer, changing table and place to park your stroller. Very recommend:)

I find that the atmosphere at this theatre gets in the way of enjoying the movie. While well maintained, I don't really feel welcome. Perhaps it's the fact they no longer staff the box office. It feels like they are struggling and cutting corners.

Theater is dated, not very comfortable, especially for longer movies, but it's largely clean and the staff is helpful. Some, if not all, theaters have been updated to recliners, and the sound system is good, so there is nothing wrong with choosing this theater, especially considering how few choices are available in the city.

Cineplex is easily accessible to anyone who lives in South and South West of Regina. Located in Southland mall, it screens all the last releases. However, the screen size of cineplex is smaller than the screen size of Cineplex located in North of Regina.

The theater was clean. Food was too expensive...lol. Those reclining seats are awesome. Disappointed that regular (non 3D) shows are only available in the afternoon. My wife can't watch 3D but we will never make an afternoon show. I guess we will need to wait till 3D features hit the Rainbow or maybe the new Landmark...

Prices are so expensive and the last time I was here there were people talking the entire movie in the row in front of us...considering you pay $50 for two tickets and some popcorn it's not worth it. Stay home and rent a movie for $5 on your TV!

Decent sized cinema for the city with reclining chairs that are super comfortable. The entry area could do with a make over but they you get to see the movie in a comfortable seat and that is all that really matters. Bathrooms are also cleaned regularly.

Watched the solo a Star Wars story here in reclining seats. It was my first time and Cineplex has reclining seats and they were pretty comfortable. Food prices are expensive as you would expect at a movie theater but everything was great. If I Had to make one small complaint the staff did not close the door to the lobby before the movie started so until I got up and did it myself sitting in the back row was quite noisy and there was lots of light distracting from the opening scenes.

Probably the worst theater in Regina by far. The recent renovations are nice but not enough. The recliner seats suck, plain and simple. They cut the number of seats in a theatre in half and don't even recline! They just have foot rests.... Should be called foot rest seats. The floors are always sticky, it's like they never get cleaned. Men's washroom is gross, always. Arcade sucks too. Take the time and drive to the north end.

Honestly kind of disappointing experience. Cashier seemed confused and lacking training. He didn't know the movie times and got flustered when purchasing tickets from the concession. Suggest more thorough training from management for new employees to increase customer service experience.

Sorry, not a big fan of their recliner seating. I found the chairs are not positioned level, so, on the slanted floor, the back of the chair is slanted forward and when you recline, the backs is still pretty much straight up and down. Went there for one show and haven't been back since. Was back to see Scary Stories To Tell in the Dark, as it was the only theater showing it. Recliners really need the front of them raised so the backs actually recline. Second was...bathroom checks arent fully checked and stalls were out of toilet paper. This is supposedly 5 minutes after a bathroom check had been performed.

The seats are really comfortable and they recline too! The lines don’t take long but it’s best to show up 25min before the movie just in case you never know. The arcade is fun too but it’s somewhat overpriced. The area is relatively clean unless someone spills their popcorn.

Just watched "Old" last night. I was given an extra cup that I was hoping to fill for the long drive home but inconveniently the drink machines were signed out as we left our theatre so I couldn't refill my drink as the theatre was still open. My son and I were looking forward to using the arcade but everything was closed and put away when our movie was done. If these things would've been operational during business hours, I would've given a better review.

I went here once and had bought a drink in the food court in the mall and then asked the cashier if I could bring it in and he said yes. The next time, I did the same again but this time I had a manager come up to me and angrily tell me that I couldn't bring it in and then when I told him the last time I was allowed to, he insisted that I tell him which employee had told me I could. This is bad management 101. Even if this is your policy and I understand why you would have such a policy, don't play Gestapo and put your customers in the position of snitch.

It's not bad if you prebook your tickets so you're not standing in line at concession to buy them there. Concession always ends up being a bit slow as well. Thankfully they have the modern pop machine where you can mix your flavours so you can get diet everything. And it's the most convenient south end theatre. It's also the theatre with the recliner chairs which aren't bad - but not great - the back doesn't really recline - it's just an automatic foot rest.

Sitting capacity isn't adequate. They have comfortable seats though. You can enjoy your movie with your feet up. Queues to buy tickets/snacks move fast. Parking is free and not a hassle. Has wheel chair accessibility.

Best seating for movies. Location is on the other side of the city and I still make the drive for the recliner seating and good staff. It is not cheap but movies are not cheap anymore so it's perfect if you have a free movie pass or points to get in cheaper. Good way to spend a day off watching a blockbuster with family or Friends

Movie was loud, like hearing-damage loud (I went and saw Free Guy). Hot water was geysering out of random floor drains (not worth removing a star, it was just funny to see). Arcade had an okay selection of games, but quite overpriced ($2/play for many games that only last a minute). No complaints about the fit and finish of the theater and the ticket prices were decent but the blaring volume (even for a theater) ruined my experience.

Went to an afternoon matinee, they didn't tell us when we bought tickets that there was a school group sitting directly behind us. The entire movie was filled with talking, yelling, and cell phones. I mentioned this to several employees and no one seemed to care.

I usually loved this place, especially the recliner seats. What gave me a bit of a disappointment was the fact that buying an already overpriced pop drink doesen't come with a refill. After the movie ended we proceeded to the washroom and while I was waiting for my friends to come out I thought of getting a drink from the pop dispensing machine. Not shortly after I was approached by one of the employers saying that they don't offer refills and I threw away the cup. I feel that pop in itself already costs close to nothing, especially from a pop dispenser , beeing a place that doesn't offer free refills makes you kinda cheep (especially if you go the extra length of stopping someone from refilling their cup).

Less concession choice than the North End, and the popcorn is never as good. It's cheaper, but I'm not sure the discount is worth the lesser quality you get. I'll only come to Southland if what I want to see is only playing there, otherwise I hit up any other theatre in town. On the plus side, it's right next to a food court so you can sneak better food in that way.

I really appreciate the renovations they've undertaken in the past year. The recliner seats are quite comfortable, and the large seat backs even hide the annoying cell phones that some people still think are okay to bring out in a movie. However, I wish they would clean out the crevices a bit more. If you drop something and need to stick your hands between the cushions, it can get concerning at times.

We love the mouie experience but who can afford 50 to 60 every month to go. Can't imagine being a family of four or five on a restricted budget you would never be able to go to a first run movie

I'm not sure how they can call the seats reclining... They just lift your legs. So much room between seats I feel like the seats should be able to lean back more than 1 inch. Cupholders right in the middle of the armrest. Although the seats are comfortable you are in a very uncomfortable position.. I had to put my shoes up on the short leg rest to get comfortable. It's almost as if whoever decided to buy the seats didn't actually try watching a movie in them. Screen size is still small compared to competitors. Well, I haven't been to a movie for years. So I was surprised at the comfy recliner chairs offered now for movie goers. I come with my own chair, but it is still an improvement for those who would prefer to transfer to a recliner. I thought the sound was esp amazing in Bohemian Rhapsody. It was an entertaining, great movie. I've read other reviews where the movie was criticized for not exactly following the history of the band. But my companions and I thought it was just great. The important messages came through. Seeing how beloved songs were imagined then put together was a real treat. It was tastefully done. The acting was also excellent. The building itself is clean. The washroom, also clean, contained a stall for wheelchairs.

This place is better that watching movies in the comfort of your own home. The leg room, the reclining chairs, the wide chairs to fit almost anyone, elbow room, uuuuggoohhh, is a dream come true this place. Even when your chair is fully reclined people can still walk past you. The theaters are small and personable so you have a great seat any where you sit( except the first three rows... why does any theater have those rows? About way this theater had really picked up the pace. It used to be dirty and dingy, but ther bathrooms are cleaner, the floor isn't littered with popcorn when you first walk in. And the prices are great. I would have thought after a renovation le that that they would have went up but they didn't. I have my one favorite person who works there to. She really knows what is going on. She's always the when I go and always really helpful. I'll have to remember her name next time so I can give her the credit she deserves. Thanks Southland for your major upgrades. With my neck problems I can finally go see movies I!

I don't understand why it's necessary to close the box office on the weekend. I understand if it's during the week, and it isn't as busy... I waited 15 minutes without even moving in line. Luckily someone from my group ended up getting the tickets from the ticket kiosk because other wise I wouldn't have made the movie. The funny thing is, Cineplex makes majority of their money from the concession, but I saw multiple groups LEAVE the concession line because it was unnecessaryrily long wait to get popcorn/drinks/snacks, which is essentially lost profits for the theatre. I feel sorry for the staff that work there, since clearly management is disorganized. There's a reason Cineplex Cinemas at Normanview (formerly Galaxy) is the preferred theater for movies...

This is pretty much your regular cinema, good popcorn, spacious show rooms, cool guy who rips the tickets. I have no complaints. Well, there was this one time my friends and I (who are 17 and 16) wanted to go see a movie, but it ended up being rated R, which we had forgot to check. Since we had already come all that way, we decided to go to some random film that didn't really appeal to any of us. After we got our tickets ripped and were heading in, we noticed a crowd of employees (one of which was probably a manager) staring at us from across the hall. They had thought we were going to sneak into the R rated movie! This bothered me, it was a classic example of profiling. The most annoying thing is that we were going to try to sneak into the R rated movie, but now that was impossible. The movie we ended up seeing was pretty bad. Nonetheless, it's nice to get out of the house and do stuff sometimes so overall it was an alright night. 4/5 would go to again.

Brutal!!! The ticket buying system has to go! Don't bother trying to go to a new release unless you pre pay for tickets 4 days ahead... Got to the cinema and there was many open seats in the middle section but the computer system wouldn't let us buy them cause I was only buying 2! Only spot it would let me buy seats was bottom corner of the room where you can't see half the screen! Waste of just under $70 (after snacks and drinks)on a date night.. would love to support the place because it's close to my house! But haven't had a problem at the new landmark cinema out east!

I really enjoy the theaters and the reclining chairs. The location is also good. Unfortunately a big negative for me is the bathrooms, they are gross. The entire bathroom needs a total renovation. I go for the convenience of the location and the comfort of the theater...I recommend using the mall bathrooms if at all possible.

Not enough selection of food . Plus since when is there no more refills on the pop...That is so cheap on their part . Plus it's not like it's cheap to go to the movies ... The theater already downsized the drinks . What was small before , now is medium, what was medium is large now . Prices went up and Now you can't do refills.. That is not good business.. All you are doing is making your customers rethink if they want to come back or maybe they will come back, but they won't buy anything.. If I was the movie theater manager I would rethink this decision.. It's not like you guys are not making money on the drinks .. we paid 5$ to 6$dollars for a drink that cost you 5 cents..

Yes we get your point no food from outside but really? You need to send away your customer in a wheelchair just with this policy. They should give refund to this man for missing almost 1/4 of the movie. ????

This is one of the only cinema in the south beside rainbow. Though its not as cheap as rainbow the experience is better. The place is clean and well maintained. The seats are comfy and nice. However the food is kinda expensive and compared to the north end cineplex, its just plain out better.

I am not the least bit impressed with having to pay top dollar for a movie ticket when I now have to do the work either online or at the entrance as they no longer staff the ticket counter. I am also not impressed with having to pay $17.99 plus tax for a #1 popcorn combo and then I have to stand in another line to get a drink at a machine I can't figure out and can't put my popcorn down because the counter next to the drink dispenser is a sloppy wet mess. I also don't care to watch a movie in a theatre with massive reclining seats that if I was to recline in I would not be able to see the movie due to the blockage of the recliner in front of me. And don't wear shorts for those plastic/faux leather recliners as you just stick to them not to mention that there is no where to put my purse except under my feet leaving me in an uncomfortable position for the duration of the movie. Not a pleasant experience.

I love the reclining seats and isles numbered on screen and also in theatre im also glad that they are bigger seats. Lots of leg room. The prices for popcorn are quite high and a drink that is no refills. Especially when it self serve. Bags of chocolate are very exspensive its cheeper at the dollar store. We ate before we went so we weren't hungry.
