New beverage self serve machines for your drinks where you can select added flavours with any coke product. Lines are a mild annoyance but they move fast. The theaters are clean and comfortable. Bathroom are clean and stocked. Overall great experience.

Decent theatre! Can be busy at times. Never had any issue getting in and out. Went to see crazy rich asian not long ago and nobody was checking tickets though - people can take advantage of the system on tuesdays especially.

Very comfortable seats. We had bought our tickets online with reserved seating in Auditorium #4 for row D and seats 7 and 8 to see “Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again”. The seats were very comfortable and you can lean back quite a bit. Our seats were great for watching the movie and luckily there wasn’t anyone sitting in front of us. The sound system was decent. Entrance to the theatre is on West 5th Avenue.

The staff is not bad here and always helpful even when it’s so busy. However they really must step up the cleaning between movies! Not kidding, I took my daughter to a movie at 10 at night, we were lined up outside waiting for them to finish cleaning it before our movie started. However, when we walked in you couldn’t tell any cleaning had been done. In fact it kinda looked like it hadn’t been cleaned all day! Our arms were sticking to the arm rests! We looked around for a cleaner place to sit but it just didn’t get better.

Everything seemed clean. Staff were friendly. Non-automated urinals though... everything flushing on a timer equals a lot of wasted water. Lastly, you don't think butter should be free at 10 dollars for a bag of popcorn? C'mon now Cineplex.

We usually have a good time at this theatre and go to quite a few movies. The last time though was very disappointing. The young man who served us at the concession seemed very annoyed at our requests and even rolled his eyes at us at one point. I brushed that off as a worker having a bad day (which happens, I get it!) but then when we went to get straws the first one my boyfriend grabbed broke so he set it down to throw out after he grabbed another one and a worker gave him a dirty look behind his back, which I saw, and then grabbed the straw off the stand and sighed loudly as she threw it out. We have never been treated like that before. I never right reviews but that was ridiculous. I hope you pull it together galaxy cinemas.

Horrible theatre for seating arrangements - unless you're going to see a movie at the AVX. Went to see a movie with my girlfriend tonight and the scattered open seats in the regular theatre forced us to go get our tickets refunded and go home. I am a huge fan of customer service and the interaction with people when I purchase a ticket for a movie. With the new changes to lobby, you now just go to the front desk and purchase a ticket from an inanimate machine. Makes using cash rather tricky and does ruin a Big part of the movie going experience. The concessions just aren't the same either, prices climbing and quality of product isn't getting better. That all said the theatres themselves are clean and quite nice and inviting. That alone does help make up for the lack of human interaction before you enter the theatre to arch your movie.

Experience was very disappointing... Pre-purchased DBOX ($66.50) tickets through the cineplex app and when we arrived the lineup for the only ticket printer was longer than the lineup to the cashiers. Stood in line for refreshments for 10 minutes (combo for 2 + 1 coffee ~$35.00) only to find that coffee could only be purchased in another line (another 10 minutes). Went to sit in our DBOX seats and found the armrest broken on 1 of our 3 seats (not a big deal but worth mentioning), the whole Star Wars trailer + half of the Deadpool 2 trailer played without sound, and the first 10 minutes of Justice League played with the wall lighting on and shining on the screen which ruined the 3D experience. We'll find another way to entertain our family for $100, thanks.

I'll never go back and i would rather spend my 55$ somewhere else!! 25$ for 2 adults to watch 1 movie. Add a combo with 2 reg drinks (the cups have gotten smaller and NO refills) and 1 large popcorn (that i think has also gotten smaller) with butter so add another 1.10. So the total was WAY TO MUCH for what you get!!! I will order in and watch a movie on TV for half the price! HIGHWAY ROBBERY!!!

Last night I, my brother and my 12 yr old daughter went to see Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker at your Normanview location in Regina, SK. Being a lifelong fan from the beginning I was excited to finally see the conclusion to the Skywalker story. We went to the 6:15pm showing in Aud 10 and unfortunately I can’t say we had a great experience because it was so unbelievably cold in the auditorium we had to stay bundled up and even then we still shivered in our seats the entire time. My other daughter and her husband were at the same theatre last night as well but were in Aud 3 at 7:00pm and she said it was so hot in there that she felt like passing out. Please ensure that the temperature for each auditorium is working properly so movie goers can be comfortable, especially in extreme weather conditions like last night. I feel that my experience watching the movie was ruined by how cold it was in the theatre.

It's a movie theater so they don't very that much, much although this is by far the best one in Regina. The picture and sound are great and all their projectors are up to date. You the service is great to. Even when the theater lobby is packed the workers look like they are trying their best to get yo what you need as fast as possible.

A very nice big theatre with an unfortunately undersized parking lot. Normally not a huge issue but if there are 2 or 3 big movies on you could end up walking a couple of blocks from the far end of the mall. Nice seats in general that can usually be booked ahead of time so you don’t have to arrive too early. The Dbox seats are fun when paid for by Scene points but I wouldn’t fork over the extra cash to get one paying for it.

Overall a great movie destination and experience. The theaters are usually clean, modern with great sounds and reasonably comfortable seating. In some cases you can even reserve a seat with some perks. The confectionery shop is ridiculously over-priced and parking can be difficult at times. Also exiting the Normanview shopping complex to turn north onto McCarthy is a disaster with no filter light especially at peak times.

I took my daughter to a movie and it costed a small fortune. Then there were over 20 minutes of commercials!!! I could hear groans from the audience everytime a new commercial started. When the movie finally started, the experience was already ruined. Probably not this theatre's fault, but it still ruined the experience for us. No wonder I rarely go out to movies anymore.

The theatre itself I would give 4 or 5 stars, but the Cineplex company as a whole deserves one, so I'll level it out at 3 here. The freestyle drinks are amazing. You can't beat AVX screens with Dolby Atmos sound. They always have a lot of movies to watch, and sometimes they're even good ones! However, Cineplex anti-consumer policies, such as removing refills, having 15 minutes of commercials before movies and kneecapping how valuable Scene points are leave a bad taste in my mouth. I wish the didn't have such a monopoly in the Canadian cinema game.

Went to see Avengers End Game and the movie was great but the second we walked into theatre 5 it was a giant sweat fest. It felt like it was 35c the entire movie and made the experience awful. For the record we were one of the first in the theatre for the 11pm showing and it was already stupid hot with no one in there. My wife who is normally frozen was down to her tank top.

Probably one of the better theatres I've been in as far as Cineplex is concerned. They have Coca Cola Freestyle Machines and the staff is always friendly.

Concession was closed at 10:15pm, no recliner seats in the theater I was in. Sound quality was poor in comparison to landmark Cinemax. The only upside this theater has over landmark in my opinion is movie selection usually a more variety of shows, it's a little bit cheaper, and if you want "arcade" games then they have that too. Overall I'd still choose landmark

Love the movie theatre. Benefit: can book your seats early unlike southland mall. But the chairs suck they need recliner chairs like southland. Those chairs are so comfy bring a pillow and cuddle is the greatest thing. Maybe offer cheap movie nights or something. The cost vs southland is way better. Southland has cheap Tuesday evening movies

The moment you walk into the theatre, the smell of buttery popcorn his you. This time, a couple friends and I booked a private screening of Back To The Future, which was excellent. The food, a regular popcorn and a drink, is a bit on the expensive side, but otherwise top notch. Portions were very generous. The seat next to and beside me in the theatre was missing an armrest and was surprisingly sharp. Not enough to draw blood unless you tried, but something to be wary about in the future. TLDR: Excellent experience but beware of sharp objects in the dark.

Ouch. No heat in Theatre 8 (for the past 2 weeks apparently). But it remains open. You learn this at the last minute after you've purchased your tickets. We froze our butts off for 2 1/2 hours watching Greta last night in our parkas. Not much fun. (The movie only deserves 2 stars as well.) Guess they'd rather let their customers freeze than close one auditorium. Bad call I say.

We reserved a ticket in the afternoon for the movie to train a dragon so , we expected that we will have a reserved seat as well cause Thats what always happen in the south cinema. The guy who lead us to get a seat didnt make enough effort for me and my friend to find a seat. Yet, we appreciate the effort he did to find the two kids who are with us a spot, but just one seat. I didnt like the fact that we reserved tickets yet we didnt have a seat so we need to sit on the front side where theres stairs. So mad about it.

November 9th I visited for a movie night with my family. I had movie tickets from Costco which were a gift! Unfortunately they weren't scanning in well for us. I had a second gifted ticket so I tried that one, after trying them both they both had loaded somehow. I canceled however they both scanned in apparently. When getting concession items after the young man expressed we would have 4 drinks and two popcorn I realized that the second ticket didn't cancel and the manager explained it to him to cancel. The young man became irritated after his manager left, he continued to press that we were utilizing four ticket when I was only using the one gift card and he did not give me back the use of my other ticket. I am out two seats to a movie now, I wouldn't care if these were cheap tickets however I personally would prefer to keep my two tickets for actual use of them, especially due to the cost and the manner of the young man that I had to endure after my long day; wanting to come enjoy a show with my family to only deal with using my tickets through fighting with a computer not scanning and then a young man that really did not want to assist us, and was not kind about it. I would rather sell the remainder of my tickets and go elsewhere.

The managers aren't very customer friendly at all. We looked up a movie time at at the mysask website and planned a babysitter for our afternoon date. When we got there they weren't even open. When we talked to an employee they explained the times dont start until later. It was off and the next showing for any show didnt start until 2 hours later. The manager (scott amos) didn't apologize for the mess up and then proceeded to rudely tell us there's nothing he could do about the online times. No free passes for our inconvenience or anything. Please galaxy cinemas get your stuff together!

Did you know that this cinema opens the door 15 minutes before the show? This act of the manager is not customer friendly because it is cold outside . The manager explained to us that this is the policy of the management from Toronto who is seemingly does not understand the coldness of Regina . We would like to boycott this cinema but unfortunately, there is no other competition around since they bought the Cineplex. So, what do you think we can do to stop this cruelness of the management. The prices for popcorn and drinks are getting out of hand. $37 for 2 large pops a large popcorn and a bag of m&ms is ridiculous. On top of that the theatre is always freezing. I'm tempted to bring a blanket when I do go there which is not often because of the price gouging and cold. Why pay that much when you can stay home pop your own popcorn for a buck and pause the movie when you need to pee. Nothing like paying over $70 for 2 adults to enjoy 1 movie in a cold uncomfortable setting. This why Netflix has become as big as they have.

The concession is a little overpriced if you do not have a SCENE’s card. They do have a new Coke machine with multiple flavours of Coke which is kind of interesting.

A pre 2000 experience, beware!!! Went here to see Last of the Skywalker. Video and sound were of poor quality in comparison to other theatres in the city. The seating was atrocious, something I would have expected in the 90s. In fact the entire experience was that of a pre 2000 theatre. I would avoid this theatre until they upgrade each screen to that of their AVX. There are far better options in the city for around the same price.

I love the newer reclining seats. I will always choose the Southland Cineplex over the Normanview location because of the seats. Unfortunately there is no Timeplay available at Southland, but that is a sacrifice I am willing to take for more roomy and comfortable seats. There is enough room for the recliner to be fully extended and someone to shuffle by, which I love.

They have completely changed the way you pay to get into theatre we had passes and they told us(after standing in line) we had to give them to the person at the concession stand but no one there knew what I was talking about so at least we got in for free but popcorn and two drinks were $30.00 so glad didn't cost us to pay to see the show.....and no more electronic ticket booths anymore like what is going on???

Not very helpful staff today. I don't go to the movies very often. Wasn't sure what to do when I arrived with 3 kids. 2 staff members just looked at me for several minutes while I waited at the till to purchase the tickets. I finally asked if someone was going to come over to the till so I could pay for the tickets. They told me that the till I was at was self service. Then, I had to ask where to go to pay! 0 customer service, but Encanto was great.

Also, if your scene card does not work, you cannot use points for a free movie, as the workers are too lazy to enter in your card number manually . Movies are so expensive! That aside, the theatre is clean. Staff are pleasant. Bathrooms stocked. Popcorn wonderful. What more do you need?

I went to see Valerian and the Thousand Worlds. There was a malfunction during the movie where the picture stopped but the audio continued to play. They eventually fixed the issue. I think the manager should have given out free movie tickets to compensate for the issue.

Seating is ridiculous. Front row seats are horrible. It's like laying on your back at the base of your tv and looking up to watch it. Small theaters mean they fill up fast. Remove front seats and limit number of people per viewing. I got stuck in front row. Never again. I'll watch movies at home.
