REVIEWS OF Regent Theatre IN Picton

Laura Voskamp

The Regent is very intimate, with only about 400 seats. It's well-located if you want to grab drinks or coffee before a show. I recommend the cappuccino next door from the Vic Cafe.

Lovely old theatre with great quality picture and good sound. Incidentally, a very clean men's washroom when most old theatres not so nice in that department.

Beautiful historic theatre in downtown Picton. Lots of amazing small architecture details. The restoration is incredible. Too bad Main Street is so loud with trucks, made it hard to enjoy!

Many great memories as a child, and more memories are being made every time I visit now as an adult. Very nostalgic, I love it.

One the great theatres of Small Town Ontario. Awesome for movies, theatre, music and community events. Beautiful decor...

Thank the stars the community has kept her doors open and shining! The same architect as the Royal Alex in Toronto. Amazing original sound hall design acoustically, but powered up with current sound for films. I had the rare chance today to sing solo in that hall. Epic.

Surprisingly good quality for an older theatre. Co.fortable seating and excellent prices.

Not perfect but you can't expect greatness when it's all volunteer.

Cool theatre that is licensed to serve alcohol, and has great programming. A good mix of new hit movies and older/more “off the beaten path” films.

The Regent Theatre is a one screen theatre in the heart of Prince Edward County. Old world charm, vintage cherubs line the foyer and modern upgraded acoustic panels line the theatre.

Incredibly iconic theatre in the heart of the town. They don't get new movies right when they come out most of the time but the locals still adore the place.

Nathan Rumbolt

Well when I didn't want to drive Belle to go to the Cineplex I used to go here once a week to watch a movie because it is the last oldest movie theater I've ever been in and the heritage behind it is outstanding and it is a nice place to bring your kids your family or just to go out on a date and the place is nice and it is in your budget especially if you're one of the people that goes to giant Tiger and get your snacks first

Carole Thimidis

This is an awesome theatre in a small town.

Glenn Sheil

Great atmosphere and character. Friendly volunteers

Mark W

For a historic single screen theatre it's very well maintained. New, very clean washrooms. Seats are ok, comfortable enough but not great for long movies. Price is a little high (similar to Cineplex), but it's a Not for profit organization run by volunteers and the money is clearly well spent to maintain this historical staple.

Liz Huff

So civilized to have a GREAT matinée for the 'boomer ' crowd, lovely clean accessible bathrooms, no noisy offensive Hollywood trailers, and an interesting public education bit on a former Prime Minister (Bowell) from these parts. The Regent was a lovely part of our PEC getaway. Thank you. #CommunityAtItsBest

This theatre offers small town charm and tastes of the good old past where one would go see a show. Very well priced especially compared to larger cities or towns. Great service and staff. Try turning off the Netflix and coming here for a wonderful change.
