We've got the opinions of people who are using the services and products of Port Elmsley Drive-In Theatre (Movie Theater) near Perth (Canada).
As of day this firm gets a rating of 4.8 stars over 5 and this score has been calculated on 127 reviews.
As you can read, it has an average rating is virtually the highest, and it is based on a very high number of reviews, so we may think that the rating is very faithful. If people have bothered to value when they've done well, is that it works.
As you know, we don't usually bother to place reviews when they are good and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or incidence...
This Movie Theater is included in the category of Drive-in movie theater.
I go here more than 5+ times a year! I LOVE this place. SUPER VALUE!! Honestly so well looked after one of My husband and I's favourite Date nights!! <3 We will be going again this weekend!!
I lowered it from 4 stars to 3 because the sound quality of the audio stream is deteriorating. Base gets distorted and any loud parts of a movie are blah to listen to. Otherwise still a fun night. I wish people would clue in about how their lights work in the car. Despite much warning people still kept turning lights on and off. There should also be a rule about leaving in the middle of movies. Such a disruption to others still enjoying
The most wonderful little drive-in. I love that this business does not discriminate based on people's medical status. Great movies, tasty snacks, clean bathrooms! 5/5.
Usually great movie lineups for good prices.
I've never been to a drive-in theater. It was fun and well organized. The people there thought of creative ways to enjoy it even more. Great experience.
Girl at the concession stand filled our water bottles up for us with a smile! Thanks PEDI!
Because it is still here and awesome! Everyone should experience a Drive - In at least once in a lifetime.
A fun place to go if you can stay up late for the 2nd or 3rd show. It's nice to see this drive-in theatre still around when so many others have closed.
We have been here several times last summer and this summer. Always a great time with the family. Lots of great throwback movies this year! We have really enjoyed the playlist this summer. Friendly staff, well run and good value for the price.
Awesome spot! Reasonably priced good food and drinks and awesome atmosphere for kids and the family. Support this local business! Cheaper and more fun than the big city theatres. Very polite staff as well.
One of the last. A bit far away but it gives you that small old time feeling. Worth checking out for nostalgia sake.
Great time out! Food from the canteen is decent. The Drive in also provides booster packs, incase anyone kills their battery.
Been going here since I was a kid! Just keeps getting better!
Been going here since I was a kid and when someone else bought it, it got even better. Re did the bathrooms and expanded the kitchen as well as they are in the process of adding another screen. One of our favourite summer things to do, drive in season is the best!
They really should clean up the concession stand, Bathroom is smelly and not very clean looking Otherwise a great experience
Really fun date night place. Next time I will bring netting to cover my open windows as there are a tonne of mosquitos. The snacks are all really well priced too.
Great place to being the family, worth the drive.
Always a fun experience at the Port Elmsley Drive in. Prices are very reasonable, and it is the closest drive in for the Ottawa area.
Amazing place and awesome people.. I have been there a couple of times and it was such an amazing experience.. They take every precautions with covid last year that I know I am safe going there this year.. wouldn't go anywhere else to …
Love it!
Great place any night. Swings and a slide for kids, lots of parking. Cars in front, trucks in the rear so everyone can see. Good concession stand, decent prices. Battery packs onsite incase your car wont start. Bring your frisbee and your bug spray.
Really great little drive-in. We enjoyed this throw-back to a bygone era. Highly recommended!
Wow! Date night at the drive-in on October 26 2018 with every one's favorite slasher Michael Myers. Templeton drive-in I hope you are reading this you could learn a couple of things. Oh yes you have been closed since August. Dum @ss. Thumbs up Port Elmsley Drive-in. Still some nice weather and not too cold. For people coming from Gatineau. Take hwy 416 to save time and make sure you have fuel in your tank. No gas stations around. Fair prices at the snack bar and friendly service. Will definitely go back. Oh yes. I saw that they had a triple feature some times. Can't wait to experience that next summer.
This was the first time I'd even been to a drive-in and I admit, I probably expected too much. Afterward, a friend told me that you go to this for the social experience first and the movie second. I'd definitely agree with that. The picture is dim and hard to make out if you aren't parked close, the sound over the FM radio is blown out and distorts during loud parts and in the era of push-to-start cars that don't keep their radios on, people will be constantly flashing their headlights cause they don't know how parking brakes work. But if you go with some friends, none of that really matters. It's still a lot of fun and a way to watch a movie that you haven't experienced before. Since the showings are always double features, the admission price is very reasonable too, as are the concession prices. Sure, it's not a normal theater experience but it also doesn't cost nearly as much either.
Nice place if you want to watch a movie while in your car. If you sit outside bring bug spray, and maybe a portable radio.
(Translated) Very nice drive-in park. The people are nice. Close to Upper and Lower Beveridges locks. And bicycles are allowed! (Original) Très beau ciné-parc. Les gens sont sympathiques. Près des écluses Upper et Lower Beveridges. Et les vélos sont permis!
Workers are very polite. Its a very nice place to be good vibes and nice people. Was very quiet during the movie. I recommend this place
The price was $12.00 per person. They had 2 great movies playing. The bathroom are very clean. The staff are very friendly and helpful.
This drive-in took me back to the 80s, when outdoor theatres were still in Ottawa. Great price for a double bill. Well worth the drive.
Can't wait to come back. This place reminds me of my childhood. Great food and staff.
It's was great, the picture was clea
fantastic!!
Love it!!
Love it, they need to do some updating with the facilities..
Great staff and great viewing
Absolutley love this place! They keep the nostalgia alive with a vintage-like cartoon played in the intermission. Great rates for 2 movies! Canteen for food and washrooms available. For warm buggy nights and to avoid idling for AC, purchase cheap screen from the dollar store or use baby stroller screens to put on your windows. You can keep your windows down and be bug free!
Wow
All the charm of your childhood.
Movies
Good times
Always a great night out that harken's back to a previous Era. Just watch out for the mosquitoes
Fun for the whole family
The best, and probably the last, drive-in around.
Love this place I go almost every week I live less then 2 minutes on the same road great people great atmosphere classic and comforting I go with friends and family all the time
A Tradition with my family to go every year at lest once. Clean, great service good food and great movies. A great place to go.
SO LOVE THIS PLACE ! Reto feel.please never close!!! Great drive - in.
Amazing!
Awesome experience. Great concessions at a very reasonablr price! Sometimes they even have 3 for 1 movie deals!
Excellent service and atmosphere. Have been coming here for years.
There was a long lineup (15-20 mins) when we arrived and missed the start of the 1st movie. I hear it gets buggy when the weather is warmer, but it was perfect weather when we went on the weekend, we could sit in our car with the moonroof open stare at the stars and watch the movies.
Great family spot
Love this place. We have been visiting the drive in for 20 years and hope for many more. Triple feature tonight, Indiana Jones ????, for the final weekend of the season. Thank you for the memories. See you in the spring.
Great drive in theatre that is relatively close to Kanata.
LOVE this drive in. A lot of people bring nets to cover the windows of their vehicles because the mosquitos can be persistent. If you’re planning to sit outside of your vehicle, bring bug spray. Dog friendly
Awesome way to catch a movie with friends.
A summer treat, great first run movies! Good selection in the snack bar too!
Love this drive in tucked into the bush
Classic fun evening in the times of covid.
Great atmosphere, good prices, good food and clean.
Great, nostalgic place!
Great drive-in. Fun experience. Only a handful left and this one has a seamless experience. Food stand with minimal foods but great for kids. 4 stars because the screen is missing a spot of white paint which is noticeable once the movie plays.
Absolutely loved it very nice people and the hot dog was great just wish I had some fries with it we're going again and again
Been going here a very long time. It's a very historic place in this area. Bring bug nets for your windows the canteen has all you need !
Really enjoyed going back in time and visiting a classic drive in. Instructions were clear and they had staff constantly assisting people. Snack bar and bathrooms were very clean. Poutine was also delicious and fresh. Will be going back very soon.
Great opening night!! Hope they get approval for concessions!
I hate to give a good review because this is a secret gem that's becoming more well known and busier (as of my last visit). For those who remember doing the drive inn as a kid, this place it for you. Exactly how my very fond memories remember it.
Great atmosphere. Owners are very engaged and it shows with the quality venue
We got the full drive in experience. $28 for 2 adults and one kid, which is not too bad, considering it was two movies. Kids played ball and had fun on the old-school play equipment until it got dark. Awesome. The trailers opened with a hilarious non-politically-correct intro screen from the 50s, and I loved the one in between features with its not-so-subliminal messages to buy food at the snack bar. The popcorn was... popcorn, and the burgers were all right, and not outrageously priced. I recommend you drape a tent fly or something with a screen over your windows so that the mosquitoes aren't a bother. The biggest negative was the occasional cigarette smoke that wafted through our car; I suppose it was to be expected. All in all a really good time
Amazing adventure, friendly staff, clean facilities
Great times, great prices.
What a great activity for the family! We had such a blast. The staff were super friendly, food at the canteen was extremely affordable and the Thursday night car rate is an amazing deal. Minus the mosquitoes, it was a perfect summer night and great experience. PS, I saw some people use mosquito nets to cover their windows. We'll do this next time we visit.
Little out of date but hey there's nothing like a drive in with the family
Always fun to go to the drive in. Great quality picture and nice staff. Concession stand is about dated but who cares it's the drive in.
Love this place! Mild enough winter to have it open but can wait till summer!!!!!
Cozy, friendly and clean! Had a wonderful time and will come back again!
Arrive at least an hour early!! This was my first time at a drive in theater in about 30 years but coincidentally enough the last time I was at one WAS port elmsley ! All that to say it still has all it's nostalgic atmosphere I remember and ambience. There's a small park upfront for the kids to play at and at the back is the concession and bathroom building. We arrived 10min before the showing and there was only the back 3 rows available, so needless to say it was a bit back there but still legible to read subtitles (Shang-Chi mandarin spoken) and therefore ok by our standards but had we arrived earlier we'd of had a better chance parking closer. I would recommend bringing perhaps a mosquito net that can hang over your vehicle in some capacity, and bring pants/long sleeve for the cooler nights. But seeing the movie underneath a beautiful starry sky was something I won't forget and the kids couldn't stop talking about.
Go early, bring bug spray. Everything else was perfect.
Love this drive in theater!
Family fun, great snack bar!
A classic drive in. Grate picture quality once the sun goes down. Well stocked snack bar. Excellent value.
Amazing place to watch a movie outside.
Great family night out. Recommend to always get there early for best parking spots! Summer family tradition for a very long time! We try to go out at least twice each season. Costs are increasing for entrance yet, still less expensive than going to a movie. Food prices are really costly and we rarely purchase from them any longer. Not a huge Drive-In which lends to that wonderful small town homey warm feel. As with every place, you get good and poor customer service. As we go to the movies to be with family plus friends, we do not allow the bad times of customer service affect our special outings. They even have booster packs for those with dead batteries. So worth the long drive to go!
First time there was very nervous about the movie and screen quality. Well im going back next weeked it was an amazing experience. Screen was big and clear audio was amazing and the prices are far.
Fabulous Family Fun!!!
We had so much fun! Facilities were great and the movie was awesome.
great old school way to see a movie. bring screens for windows or small screened tent
One of our annual favorites while vacationing in the area.
Nice well run drive-in theatre. Well staffed and organized. Nice local hidden gem. Saw the Metallica live-stream concert here and everything from the marquee to the fans made for a cool throwback experience.
One of the last of its kind. Good for date night. Screen is decent, sound is via FM radio. They have a battery jumper in case your battery dies. Remember to bring some netting and magnets to put over the outside of your windows so you can roll down your windows and not sweat to death.
Been a long time since I was here, and it's still a great time. Can't wait to go again!
Went here last night.... The food is good. Best corn dogs I've had in a while. The portions for the fries not what I expected. I was very pleased!!! Had to chase the gravy that ran to the bottom of the container mmmmm sooo good. Bought a bunch of corn dogs, couple of fries w/ gravy, bunch of drinks, and few bags of popcorn. Came out to be a bit pricy....but only because of how much food I purchased. All 4 of us were stuffed in the end...we all at WAY too much. Definitely want to go again!!
Not great but not terrible. The screen was quite small.
This is a great spot only 10 minutes outside of Smiths Falls! The radio sound was great and they had lots of snacks to choose from!
AMAZZZIIIIIING EXPERIENCE!! I LOVED sharing this experience with my whole family!!!
One of my favorite places. Movies are good. Very nice staff.
Nothing like a night out under the stars. A lot of young families enjoying a reasonably priced entertainment. Kid in their PJs and even some adults. Snacks are also reasonably priced.
it is a amazing place to go. If you only wanna watch a movie you can go to some theaters. but if you wanna lie in the car and enjoy some privacy this theater is good.
Amazing atmosphere. Great place to see 2 movies on Sat for 1 low price. Just remember to being nets for thr car windows.
Great family venue
great time drive in
What can I say, it's a drive in and who doesn't like to go back to a time when you take your favourite girl and experience something that just can't be beat!
Lots of fun. Good concession prices. Sound comes through the speaker great and picture is amazing.
It was a busy night and parking was difficult. Felt like they let in more cars than they had spaces. Overall an old fashioned drive in experience
It was a wonderful experience
It gets busy quite early on, so arrive early. Don't park in the front. Kids play with balls and will hit your car. The screen is in desperate need of repair.
Wonderful experience. Amazing sound quality and loved the double feature choices. Will be back soon
Awesome night out
Love coming here, always great fun!!!
Was a good visit but it seems like the projector needed adjusting. The picture was high on the barn, missing a good amount of the scenes.
our family loves going to the drive in. We go 3-4 times per year, it's affordable, clean, and old-style. The folks who run the drive in "get it". 2 movies for the price of 1 at a theatre plus good snacks at family friendly prices. We look forward to every trip. It's worth the drive!
Really a classic feel! Good food and reasonably good prices????
Always a great place to be in October.
It was actually a lot of fun! We saw 'Back to the Future' followed by 'Jaws!' Definitely made for a fun evening that wasn't too expensive either. :)
Great place for family fun!
Good service and great movie quality
Just an all round nice place The people are great Can't beat the price on everything. Very very fair. And 2 movies for the price of 1. Is amazing.
I have not been to a drive-in in years. It had old school vibe without the window speakers. Friendly staff.
Nice drive in and food is good
Such an amazing experience! Family friendly, easy to locate, good food.
Great place! Hard to get a bad angle for the screen, good movies, friendly staff, one of the regions rare drive in treasures that I hope will not go away anytime soon. Bring bug spray/bug nets for your windows and if you're worried about draining your car's battery bring a portable radio! Also try to be there an hour before showtime to get the best spots!
Excellent value for the cost. Total nostalgia trip - highly recommended!
Great picture, great sound. This is our favorite place to see a movie
Amazing well kept drive in! Always a great experience!
Took the kids to the drive in for thier first time. Everyone had a great time but we couldn't quite last through both movies! The show selection was very family friendly and the snack bar had pretty reasonable prices. This was our first visit but it definately will not be our last.
So much fun being able to go to a drive-in theatre! The owners are super friendly. Love this place.
I just spent an evening here with my grand children. We enjoyed and appreciated our experience. Great thanks to the staff who were so vigilant and patient. Well thought out protocol made our night a forever happy memory.
One screen drive in with 2 features decently priced get there earlier rather then later for a good spot
Great times. Good feelings. Best movies.
Great for the adults and kids and hole family. Great service and staff. Just love this place there has even been wedding proposals here.
There are not many places like this around, and while some might consider it run down, I would consider it an authentic drive-in experience.
Saw Jurassic park tonight and it was the best time I've had at a movie theater ever
Everything's awesome, but they need to sell fries/poutine too :)
First time there good place. Fun
Awesome!!!!
Very rustic but certainly worth it to visit.
Great way to escape the city life for a few hours.
Loved everything.???? Great to still be able to go to a drive in.. for most of my adult life I thought they had disappeared. I should mention that the popcorn was amazing ????
lots of fun for the family
Me and my family will be going back meny more times alot of fun
Real throwback. Very nice staff
Great for an family outing. Car in front blocked a bit of the screen but picture quality at night was on point. Bring bug spray and blankets to snuggle for evening show. Also lawn chairs but playing the sound through the car stereo without …
So much fun. I have been twice amd it still amazes me.
Excellent i don't care how far it was from my house bringing back the nostalgia... Last time i was at a drive in was in 1997... Friendly staff and the place was awesome...
Great experience for the kids!
Really fun and well organized. Love watching a movie under the stars!
Great value, kids had a blast!
Awesome that they are keeping this alive, go every year
We need drive-ins these days
It was a fun date night with Shrek and Jarassic Park. Concessions weren't open but staff were friendly and fun to talk to! Sound was pretty good ... That was provided by my car ????
Pretty good. Love the place
Love this place. It’s a great place for date night, movie with the kids, they have snacks/drinks everything you really need. And not too far from the ottawa area definitely worth the drive
Great family night out on a weekend... Been coming here for years and kids never tire of it.
Always a good time best to get in early line up gets pretty long some nights but staff are friendly dogs are allowed as long as they dont get out of hand and you pick up after them
It's an awesome night out at the movies in your own vehicle & it's affordable.
Great place!
Best place for that throw back feeling
Great for nostalgia. Screen could use a few touch ups
Great nostalgic place. Mosquitoes are insane, but you can get a cheap screen and green painter's tape to put over your windows so you don't fog up.
One of the best places to go if u enjoy being out side. U can sit in ur car/truck or u can sit in ur own chars in front of ur car/truck ur vehicle is our sound system for the movie as it plays through ur radio system.
So glad there are still operating. My husband and I love going! Can't wait for next summer already!
Fun, well organized. Very friendly staff.
It's perfectly serviceable, staff are friendly, and food reasonably priced. It's a shame there are no speakers next to the car spots.
Love so much to be able to share special moments with my love one. Better then going to a theater.
Great atmosphere. They play old intermission shorts during the intermission.
what a great experience! lots of us have never been to a drive n theatre because they just don't exist anymore. This is worth the drive...authentic and comforting. watch a new release from the comfort of your car.
This is an old school style drive in with modern upgrades. Excellent food and popcorn. Very affordable. Fun for all.
Nice throwback to the way we used to watch movies. And you get 2 movies for the price of one.we had a great time. Too bad this is the last one left in eastern Ont and western Quebec.
Great place
Love it here
A great place to come with the family for a night of entertainment. The movies are amazing and the atmosphere is welcoming. We go multiple times a summer.
It's fun for family, fun for all.
Be sure to bring some pillows, a screen (from a screen repair kit), and some painters tape.
Wish there were moe drive ins in the city
Wow. The 60s are still around
One of the last drive-ins around. About an hour from Ottawa . Love it here
Been twice, made lasting memories each time. It seems the recent improvements will help carry this tradition on for years to come! Great job guys. Over 100 cars last night for the Thursday special and it was all orderly and enjoyable (bring big spray!)
Good movies !!
Clean area, decent food prices. Easy access for all
I drive almost 2 hours just to go to The drive in clean and play structure For children waiting for the movie ro start. Will go back for years to come!!
Awesome , brings back good old memories
Had a great experience at the drive-in, and would love to return. Where else can you enjoy a night out with friends, watching a movie, in a COVID-safe environment? The concession stand was through an outside window, and washrooms were clean enough and relatively well ventilated. Would probably return sometime!
Not many drive-ins left in this country, so glad we found this place! The kids love it!!
Loved it. They opened the ticket office early. Everyone that worked there was very polite.
Super fun so old Skool
Always lots of fun!!
Great drive-in theater. Definitely get there early though!
Fun movie experience if you like drive inns.
Food very reasonable, large buttered popcorn, fully dressed hamburger and fries plus drink was 15.00
Lovely place! Friendly and homely.
Was pretty good! They did have the master sound a little too high so it distorted a little bit. Screen was a good size even from near the back.
Very old drive in. Fun experience
Enjoy
Can't buy tickets in advance so you risk travelling there for nothing. Their pages post political comments. No thanks.
The entire place seems a bit run down and low quality. Mosquitoes are a severe problem, and while that's not the fault of this business, it can still make a trip to the drive in unpleasant. The sound quality isn't great, nor is the picture quality. Despite all this, this Drive-In Theater is one of the better ones I've been to.
Forgot all about this place was so happy to find it again... they are well versed in crowd control and it is such a great family outing.. why are there not more drive ins in the world!!!
Love it with the family
Wow this place really took me back! The screen is crystal clear and the connection to my car radio was perfect! The animations between movies were super cool really went along with the old fashioned theme and the whole grounds were set up …
Kids love this place. Nice field with swings and a slide for the kids to play before the movie.
So happy there are still a few of these around.
It was an amazing time, the staff were great! Will be going back whenever we can
Awesome atmosphere, friendly staff, good munchies, and cheap movies!!!
Helpful staff. Retro atmosphere :) can't wait to go back
Great place with an old-timey feel. Get there early if you want a spot near the front, and bring a few bucks for popcorn!
Great family fun. Prices are reasonable and movie selection is always up with the times. Suggest you bring bug spray though.
Such an awesome date night idea. Good food & a cute set up!
Excellent venue, good food, freindly staff, smart adaptation to COVID restrictions.
I have never had a bad experience here!
Such an amazing experience. So much fun to go and watch a movie cozier up in the back of your car. Picture quality is great and the place has that vintage feel -- not at all "run down". Sound quality obviously depends on your car radio so is great is you have good car speakers
Always a good time.
the popcorn sucked but it was the place was still cool
Super Experience.
What a wonderful way to spend an evening.
Good prices and very well set up
Great place, love the drive in. Went to go see Garth Brooks, and even on the big screen he was great.
Always enjoy it there but there seems to be a lot of repeats this year
Been coming here for years, and it's still a great experience! Cheap and fun way for a family to get to see a couple of movies. Save money by bringing your own snacks, although the concession prices are way more reasonable than the movie theater! Give it a try, its like going back 40 years, they even play 50's music over the air while you wait for the movie to begin. Great family atmosphere, with slide and swings and room to play catch while it gets dark.
On the second last weekend that they were open. I went and saw Stephen King's It the 2017 version. They show the movie on a giant white building and the Stars shine above it as you watch. It's a really great place with a really cool retro snack bar that serves all kinds of goodies. Definitely recommend it if you're looking for something a little bit different than the run-of-the-mill theater experience.
Love going here. Fun in the summer months.
The movies were awesome
For a drive in I can't ask for anything thing else. The experience is as good as you make it. So make sure to prepare for bugs if you like your windows down and bring some extra snacks to really enjoy yourself. The canteen is a bit out dated but in a cute way. A must try experience for any couple or family.
A hidden gem - if you live in the city. About an hour's drive out from downtown Ottawa. Really nice folks running / working there. With COVID-19 upon us, this is a great safe place to get out to. However, WARNING: there are 2 washrooms - one each specifically dedicated to men and women. Only one person is permitted to enter the washroom at a time (as part of COVID-19 protocols). Lineups can take awhile. So, don't drink much ahead of the trip or while you are there (LOL). If you do have to go (make a trip to the washroom), try to wait until the movies are well into progress (there's a chance you can avoid a lineup).
We went 4 times this summer, and had a blast each time. Great place to take your family! Can't wait to spend another summer at the drive in.
Great customer service, good food and reasonable prices. Worth the drive from Ottawa!
My car died, was fun
One of the last drive inns around and I really like watching movies out doors with the family
Great inexpensive place to bring grandchildren. We love it.
Lovely experience every time. Absolutely love bringing the family here for a night out. Very reasonable priced as well.
I have absolutely nothing bad to say about these guys. I'll come back again and again, they're awesome.
Brought back great memories of going to drive in, in the 80's as they were closing down. Best fries!!! Made the way I love them (extra crispy exterior), but can't get anywhere than when made at home.
Good food, good people, and a great price for a family night out.
Very polite staff. My only complaint is that there is a playstructure at the front, just under the screen which can attract children who can't sit still. They were quite noisy at times and didn't seem to be supervised. Took away from the overall experience, but more so the parents fault. Still 5 stars for the facility itself
Very well run, good health measures in place
Reminds me of being a kid
I love going to the drive in and the service is great
Great old fashioned family fun
great sound and but poor visuals if your in the back seat of your car but also great food
It's a classic old school drive in. Go!
Great place to catch a movie under the stars! Snack bar open throughout the show.
Always a great place to go to
Just the best
Loved it! Could bring our toddler and actually see a new movie ????
The food was terrible, the rest was good. I didn't like that they showed a movie that was over 30yrs old before one that was just released on March second, and for the prices they charge you. I'm going to try it again, but there isn't too many drive ins around here either, so hopefully they read this as constructive feedback ????
Worth the drive and affordable. Car battery died and they had a machine charged and ready, thanks!
I come here at least 4 or 5 times each summer it is a really good family experience. Buy a screen or mesh to block your window so that you dont have to deal with bugs, heat, or moisture on the windshield.
Great value. Jusy wish they would handle the patrons a bit better...if you see someone with their lights...tell them to turn them off or block them out
Love this place! Used to come here all the time as a kid and now to be able to bring my kids here is awesome! Great snack selections and reasonable prices and great staff. Don't forget some bug nets for the windows so you can keep the windows down and not get eaten alive!
Great Place to catch a drive in movie.
Love going to the drive in. We always bring the dogs for a fun night out. Reasonably priced admission and concessions. It is a summer time favourite.
Movies at a great price.
Not too many drive inns left! My family and I love going! Great food and experience all around.
Always a great time! Remember bug spray or screens for your windows!
Awesome family owned drive-in. In my opinion still the best way to see a movie with kids or a large group of friends. Only an hour from most of Ottawa. Make it an event for your family too.
Friendly staff and great snacks
Awesome place
Friendly staff. Good value and the snack bar isnt overpriced
Super drive in just like they used to be. I highly recommend this throwback location to see a movie.
One of the few remaining
Love this place, great times
Lots of fun
Great drive in!
I LOVE THIS PLACE GREAT MOVIES, GREAT FOOD PRICES, VERY FRIENDLY STAFF!!!! IT'S A GREAT PLACE TO SEE A MOVIE AND YOU CAN DRESS ANYWAY YOU WANT WEATHER SHORTS FOR THOSE HOT NIGHTS OR PJS FOR THOSE COOL NIGHT IT'S UP TO YOU!!! I GIVE THIS PLACE 15 OUT OF 10!!! I LOVE IT SO MUCH
Who doesn't love the drive-in including old style snack bar, most movies are family oriented but at times have themed nights
Old school drive in. We go minimum 4 times a season. Love it!
This was my first experience to a drive-in. It was pretty good actually. The only thing is that my kids and i were sitting in the van with the hatch open and smoke from a lady beside us was pouring in. There should be a smoking section because of how close the vehicles can get. Other than that it was great! Prices for food was actually decent and parking was easy.
It doesn't get more groovy than pulling up on a Friday night for a classic drive-in movie marathon. I've been coming to the drive in since I was 5 years old, the prices are beyond fair, and the food is exactly what you'd want from a classic drive in theatre. If your in need of something to do on a summer weekend, drive on over to the Port Elmsley drive-in.
I have always liked the drive in and this one certainly has the nostalgia. But since I have been asked for my opinion I will give it. One line up from one direction filtering to two entries would be much better. You always get people driving past the line up of cars and entering from the other direction where there is no line up to speak of....and of course people always let them in. Never any paper towel in the washrooms, I now bring my own..lol. last two visits popcorn has been inedible. ...tooooo much salt! !!!! Eek. Very friendly staff. Excellent value for families needing a night out together. Looking forward to the grill being back in action.
I would have given it 5 except the snack bar didn't have prices listed for everything & you had to wait in line just to find out how much things were. We went on "carload night" ...24$ for 4 people for 2 movies...you can't beat that. Just come prepared for mosquitoes as usual biggest downfall of ANY drive-in.
Great Experience....for movie lovers ....Highly recommend it
Fun old school experience . could use some type of pastries surgar like funnel cake or apple pies something sugarys to boost you up late at night
Nice drive in. Audio wasn't the best but I've only been once. I'll definitely be back
Great place to take the family or a date night!
We love going to this drive-in. It's well run, very family friendly and the snacks are great. Wonderful that my kids and grandkids can share something I experienced as a kid and thought was gone forever. Thank you to the owners for investing in upgraded projection equipment and keeping this place going. We are so lucky Port Elmsley is close to our cottage. Going to the drivein multiple times each season is a special treat we wouldn't miss. Thank you!
Grill should stay open later
Nice little place.
We realy enjoy going out to this drive-in to watch movies. Great service and fun for everyone.
nice place to go to in the summer
Gotta love the drive in.
Absolutely amazing experience every time
Was here as part of a Chamber of Commerce event but the place has a great retro vibe, from the promos on screen to the concession stand. Seems like a throwback to a simpler time. The popcorn was good, washrooms clean, video and sound good for the movie, not sure what else to say. Lots of mosquitoes so plan to keep your windows up or bring a screen to cover an open window. Great location, especially when covid wrecks all your indoor plans.
Saw venom and alpha both shows were great. The drive in itself was clean , polite staff and great food.
Friendly staff, great night out , not that expensive and where else can you get 2 movies for $12 or on holiday long weekend 3 movies for $13
Excelente cinema for everybody...my kids and the entera family love to be there at least once time in summer. That it is our rutine among others.
Super friendly owner and staff... reasonable pricing at the concession - the hamburger isn't made with cheap meat or meat substitutes and the popcorn is always awesome. …
Love it.
Outstanding experience. Highly recommend to anyone who's ever wanted to have the full drive in experience, this is tha place for you. Reasonable price, usually a double feature, the view is perfect. Will be making frequent trips.
Love the big screen!! Kinda like driving back in time! Not many drive-in left so I will enjoy this one as long as it is around.
Sooo many mosquitos! Some people had a net over their hatch! I will be back, I will bring a mosquito net!!
So much fun. Hardly anyone believes me when I tell them we go to the drive in.
Excellent place and good food
great place
Great experience.
Good movie selection. Well stocked and reasonably priced snack bar.
Great place, this is a must if your in the area.
A little bit over packed, but otherwise everything was great
The PARKING BRAKE turns lights off while vehicle is running. We'll worth the drive, new releases and at least 2 movies per night, sometimes 3! Their website is up to date, and their Facebook group gives advance notice of upcoming titles.
Friendly service and a great experience for the kids. Put this place on your bucket list
Quite simply this place is the best. It's always such an outstanding place to watch movies. It's family run business and the new(ish) owner whose had the facility for a few years has really changed the experience and managed to get the new releases usually on opening weekend which the previous owner rarely did. Also, I know a lot of ppl will bring their own food or drink but honestly don't bother. The prices here are more than reasonable so just buy your treats there as it's not outrageously expensive and you're supporting a small local business. Let's help keep this wonderful facility running by supporting them.
Love this place! Has a nice old-time feel to it. Food is priced very reasonably.
Awesome place, clean, cheap, takes debit, credit or cash.
Great place to bring the the family for an experience. Ensure that you get there early to get a good spot.
The. Best. If you haven't been, it's a quintessential summer evening. Early in the season (May, June) recommend you bring a roll of light mesh netting and a dozen magnets from the dollar store, so that you can open the windows and keep the bugs out. Unnecessary later in the summer. In the post-covid world, make a day of it and take the kids to the really nice public beach near Rideau Ferry Yacht Club, then check out Lower Beveridges Lock 33, part of the historic Rideau Canal. The Drive In snack bar is excellent, with reasonably priced food. Love this place!!
Live it!!! Reminds me of my childhood!!! Kids love it!!!
Great concession stand prices, current movies ..clean , fun
It's the perfect COVID-19 activity! But if you're planning on using the women's washroom, go at home - my wife was lined up for 30 min!
Best drive-in in ontario
We had a great time! Concession stand prices are still inexpensive!
One of the few drive ins still in existence so i patronize this place. They play ads from yesteryear which is really cool!
Awesome place to bring the kids
Great value, my $13 ticket got me 3 movies! Great atmosphere. Will return again!
Love the friendly àtmospere
We have such a great time each time we are there. Great atmosphere, great food and a lot of fun. We love the old time commercials
Always fun! Looking forward to 2018 season ????
Awesome little drive in with a good snack bar. Its worth coming an hour early to get a good parking spot.
Great place. Great food.
Awesome!
What a blast! Definitely recommended! Clean bathrooms, great selection of food and super friendly staff!!
Went to see Guardians of the Galaxy 2 here. What a fun experience. Quality projection and great sound. 2 movies for the price of 1. We didn't stay to see Beauty and the Beast, because it started after midnight and we had to work the next morning. Quite worth the price even for just one movie though.
