REVIEWS OF Strand Twin Theatres IN Parry Sound

Henry Sandoval

Cheap theater like 9$ per ticket, popcorn 6$, water 1.5$ only has two theaters and two movies at a time but usually they are ones we all want to see. Cons: movie seats could be better, but they are upgrading slowly

Ben Enright

Hello my name is Ben Enright. I was at Strand Twin theatre watching suicide squad this pass Friday (August 5th). I was just wondering if you picked up a wallet. Thanks Ben

Nicole Saulnier

Great prices, friendly staff!

Andrey Musvitskas

Nice place to watch a movie with family

Andrew Brereton

Not bad but sound sometimes cuts, and not really a great selection (for my tastes that is).

Judy Christenson

Downton Abby movie was great

Scott de Koning

The building is run down and old it's the only theater in parry sound so there isn't anywhere else to go but I didn't enjoy it there

Olga Leschuk

Great popcorn & good family movies

Alexander Pulyanovich

Good that in small town like Parry Sound people can go to watch new movies. Place definitely needs some renovation, but be realistic - for that low price you will never find a better place.

Liz Taylor

It's nice to see small theatres like this still in business, friendly staff with a good variety of food. Very nostalgic I had a wonderful time every time I've visited here.

Quinn Cooke

Amazing theater! Love it.

Courtney Emerson

Great

David Coles

Tim Ryeland

Only game in town, rough around the edges but it's kind of fun.

Henning Golle

Not bad value, but seats were uncomfortable.

Zachary Gladstone

Cute little theatre. Clean, nice staff, and great concessions. A swell place.

ImOnQuack

Friendly staff and a good place to go with family

Josh Ary

They have one of the last 35mm projectors in Ontario! If you want to watch a film in 35, this is the place to go.

Russell Scarrow

Very dated friendly staff and a small theatre

Wayne Melnechuk

Love this theatre. Great prices for movies and concessions.

Roxanne Green

Wonderful place and great service.

Jay Rice

Mic B

The movies always run at the same time (7:30pm), which is very convenient for impromptu movie nights. As an added bonus the popcorn tastes better then cineplex.

James Bailey

Cool

Kev76

Classic small town theatre. Sound and image are surpisingly good quality. Seats are old but still fairly soft.

A theatre in Parry Sound merits at least a 3 star. Sticky floors and buttery popcorn gets you a 4th star in my books. As far as small theatres go it's pretty good and has super friendly staff. Depending on the movie it can actually get pretty busy so I'd suggest showing up 15 minutes early. There isn't really a bad seat.

Thors Beastley

Endgame, what a movie! The second time to see it. It was fun and a nice cozy place to see it. The theatre has character, it's not your run of the mill multi-plex. It's family owned and you feel it here.

aquariumdad

This is the best place to go when we are up in the summer. Nachos. Popcorn and coke.

Cody Brown

Great small town theater.

Andrew Ryeland

Old fashioned movie going. Great prices..

Alex Mock

Troy Wilson

Nice little theatre that gets current movies. The seating and decor isn't as grand as you would get in larger cities but the prices are reasonable and the snack bar provides good food too.

sandro c

For what it is, a small town movie Theatre it gets the job done. Only 2 screens. Prices are pretty good.

Brody Collison

Best place ever

Kirk Gladstone

Breann Brownley

Needs to fix the second screen and have more then just 1 screening a day. Also could use more animated for children movies and psychological thrillers for us geezers

Todd Kingsley

The theater was damp filthy and smelt of mold. Public Health should condemn this building immediately before people come down with respiratory infections.

Craig Bradley

Very nice staff. Very old. Very cool

Carolyn D

The theatre is old like many small towns and there's only one movie at a time but the prices are decent and no big city wait times.

Kian Kanani

Nick Quinn

Never been to another theater in my life.... just something about this place. Go a couple times a year and now bring my daughter. Great price and local independent ownership in small town Parry Sound. Perfect reason to go and enjoy in my books!

Kirby Freeman

Dirty and run down. Guy in ticket booth was rude. They only accept cash.

Libby Scobie

It's a dump. Haven't been in a long time & don't what to go back.

Back in town after being in new Brunswick for many years. So nice to still have this theatre in town. Great for the whole family. Enjoyed ever minute

Thomas Vasiliou

It's the smallest and most uncomfortable theatre in the world, and I wouldn't want it any other way. Maybe I'm nostalgic, maybe I'm insane, either way, I'll enjoy the pain. ;)

Steve Blainey (Sebe)

A little dated inside, could use an upgrade

A B

Great that this theater has kept its character. Had a great time.

Gerry Lathom

Nice theatre! Staff are very nice and polite. Usually playing only one certain film every week or two, but the video and audio quality is great. Seats are good. Concession stand is supplied very well. Cost for everything is very reasonable.

B OK

One of the few old school movie theater still remaining . Thank you for keeping it alive!!!

Jake O'Brien

I have gone to this theatre every summer for the last twenty five years and it is the same as always, except the sound a video quality is better now. I love this place and it is a pleasure to go every year! If you're a city dweller you may look down on it but it is family run, and just as it should be. Prices are reasonable and the staff are always pleasant. They also use real butter on the popcorn.

John Bissonette

One of the worst theaters I have ever been too. Other theatres have popcorn double the size for the same price. The place looks like it is falling apart. It is the most rustic and sad theater I have been to.. even the ticket seller looks like he hates being there. Am I the only one who thinks this place is an eye sore of a theatre?

Snow Fox

Not a place I go to often. I have gone more then once to find sticky floors, filthy bathrooms, uncomfortable seats and the smell of burnt popcorn, stale farts(obviously not the theaters fault but still!) , throw up and mold The last movie I went to see was Suicide Squad after refusing to go for years due to these conditions only to find that nothing had changed. I haven't been since and do not plan to go for a long time tho I do sincerely hope they change as it would be nice to be able to take the kids to the movies. After being disappointed time and time again it seems hardly worth even giving it another chance. The theater itself is in serious need of upgrading and the staff tho incredibly friendly need to be taught to CLEAN the place.

trevor frettsome

It's a throwback theatre. Cash only for everything. Priced reasonably. Usually has current movies that are out at the time. Seats are uncomfortably. Concessions have a good variety.

Rick Smith

Nothing fancy but clean and I was pleasantly surprised with the price of both the food and movie price of the movie. Will be going again . Everyone should be going to support this hem in our town.

Lynda Schwalm

My 11 year old grandson says it is his favorite theatre!

Aleya Wight

Desperately needs a makeover and happy staff.
