Great old school theater. Not the fanciest but love the prices. $4 on Tuesdays. Otherwise $6 for adults and $5 for seniors. If you go to the early shows, they are $4 too. Tips: sit closer to the front. Some of the theaters aren't as steep and a head might get in your way. Park in the parcade at the back. Keeps your car clean of snow in the winter and a dry walk to your car if it's rainy! Quick access to the theater from there. Also saves walking around outside if the mall is closed.

I love rainbow theatre...the price is great and affordable for families. However, I was a little disappointed last time I went to see the movie Home ! In the summer I find there is a lot of camps and groups at the movies....I could hardly hear the movie because of all the noise. I had complained about the volume being too low and nothing was done.They need to raise the volume a bit in the summer holiday season.

Fantastic theatre to go to see movies that were previously at the main more expensive theatres. Prices are excellent! Imagine is a no frills theatre.. no fancy seats etc.. but the popcorn ???? is good, theatre is clean, washrooms are decent and the carpeting throughout is really cool! Highly Recommend! ????❤️

The tickets are cheap. Staff (with the exception of that one power trip one- seriously. You sell people movie tickets. Back off) are nice. Clean enough, which you might not expect for a place that is probably older. The concession stand is remarkably expensive. It digs into the wallet considerably. If you can't go to the movies without buying food, you aren't saving anything by coming here.

This movie theatre has been around for a very long time. If you’re looking to catch a cheap flick without paying the prices of the other theatres - this is the place for you. Don’t expect 3D movies, recliner chairs and big screens. Imagine is the bare bones. They often have movies that are done screening in regular theatres.

13 and 14 year old boys were sold tickets to Jurassic World Fallen Kingdom at box office no questions asked about age. They purchased food and drinks. The manager refused to let them in to the theatre because of age. They explained 1 boy was already 14 two others turning 14 in less than 2 months . Manager did not budge. They asked for their money back on both tickets and food and she refused to reimburse them for the food purchase. Seriously? These are good kids going to a cheap Friday night movie, hanging out with friends. Way to keep kids hidden in basements on video games .

I enjoyed seeing one of the movies that had finished its run at the big cinema chains - Cineplex, Empire, Landmark Cinemas. At this cinema, you can still get a free refill on a large drink and popcorn. Also, last but not least, the admission prices and cost of food is significantly cheaper.

You have to realize these are older movies recently out of circulation. The movie theatre is older too so don't expect the big fancy stuff you get in today's theatres. Imagine is an old cinema. It is showing its age, but not in an undignified manner. It shows movies that have come to an end of their initial run, as well as some that never made it to the major theater chains, such as Awakening the Giant recently. No crowds, seats are comfortable and there is lots of room to spread out.

I used to love Rainbow Cinema. They were sold and became Imagine Cinemas. I miss the old ones. Now, they have so many movies that are low rated and they raised the prices for movies and popcorn, ie smaller bags. I hardly go anymore. I miss the previous owners. Great theatre!

An old school movie theatre located in the Saint Laurent Shopping Centre. Experience how the movies used to be when you were young. They offer cheaper movies than the regular theatres and an extra cheap day on Tuesday. The theatres are clean and there is a really cool vibe. They also offer cheaper snacks. I also enjoy the games they have available while you wait for showtime.

Travelled an hour by bus to see a movie since it wasn't playing anywhere else in Ottawa and the projector wasn't working. The staff came out and nonchalantly told us the projector was off so we could go see another movie if we wanted. Needless to say, I won't be going back there.

Aug 17, 2019 I went to the St. Laurent Cinema in the basement level and I discovered THERE IS NO LONGER TICKET TELLER at the entrance anymore. Yes, you can go to the counter, where the concession is located and pay for a ticket. It is still a good place to go $6.00 general admission not too expensive. All day Tuesdays and on Saturdays movie shows at 10AM are $3.50 unless it changed.

Good movies, decent prices, decent seats, good size screens, we always go here instead of the big theaters. It's about $20 for my wife and our 2 kids to see a good movie. ????????

This is a great place to catch movies that you missed in the "normal" theaters for their first run; and you get to see them for lower prices at the box office and the concession stand. The "price" you pay for this savings: watching your movie in a dated theatre - no reserved seating, no reclining seats, etc

You can’t beat the prices! Great spot to catch a film you missed at the big box theatre. It’s a little run down but very clean and well looked after. The staff is great!

Tickets are cheap $5 or $6 depending on the time of day. The cinemas are clean, the seats comfortable and the projection and sound are great.

Great theatre and the movie selections aren't half bad. The concession stand has a great selection of candies though it's a shame they only have popcorn or nachos for the combos. It would be nice if they included hotdogs as an option. However, the experience was great and I will continue to come to imagine cinemas.

For seniors what a great spot, Tuesdays 4 dollar movie, 9.50 am. Top movies home by noon. 200 pm snooze, rest of day thinking what a great movie. Forgot mention great free parking, short walk to theatre, lots grey heads, didn't realize that everybody dying their grey. Looks so natural.

Screen size is good and the floors not too sticky. I especially like dollar off Tuesday. But, don't count on the same times from the rest of the week.

I love this theater, even though it changed names 3 times since i started coming here. Popcorn is great. Prices went up significantly because of covid. since the prices keep going up no offense we may as well have to go to another theater …

Worth going to go avoid paying almost double for tickets and snacks at other theatres. Movies are older but look just as good on the screen

I love rainbow cinema. It has become my favorite cinema. I use to go to silver city, but they are ripping people off and are over priced. Rainbow is very affordable and the staff is amazing. If you are planing a movie theme wedding rainbow is the place for you. The price was amazing compared to the other theaters. They took the time to set every thing up. They gave us posters and they made us popcorn to throw at us. I highly recomend it. The staff is phonomanal.

It's a decent theater when you consider price. Clean enough with a few arcade games when kids are involved. Added bonus of some shopping afterwards being it's downstairs of St. Laurent mall (if needed)
