Some of the worst parking. The theatre is large concrete modern space so of you like that sort of thing you will love it. Me not so much. Accustics are fine but no warmth.

Very wide open space, but not a lot of bad seats. If you are in the middle of the closest section to the stage, you have to pass a lot of chairs, so you don't want to be late!

Great concerts by the Uvic music ensembles! The trumpeters were incredible!

The Messiah performance was brought alive by the talented soloists. Soprano Lara Ciekiewicz with her bright coloratura and masterful embellishments, Andrea Hill contralto and the skillful and the entertaining baritone Brett Polegato all did a great job. The icing and cherry were made up by the virtuosic tenor Josh Lovell, who 'killed it'. I would go to anything Lovell sings. Bravo to all involved! Nice auditorium with mediocre acoustics. Ushers should be reminded to silence walkie talkies during performance ????. We overheard usher chit chat on more than 3 occasions during the performance. Otherwise I wouldn't mention it.

My brother just graduated there and the place is huge and neat and clean and fancy. It is a lot of fun going there.

Beautiful venue to see more formal shows. Great for attending Symphony performances, or graduation events. Less ideal for less formal shows or the Banff Mountain Film Festival, but still a good venue.

Nice theatre with lots of great seats. Free parking at UVIC behind the Bookstore on Sundays.

A nice stage at UVIC. They have two floors of seats, but it is a smaller venue and their aren't really any bad seats in the theater. Food is available from the food court outside assuming it is open at your show time. They have surprisingly good acoustics. Staff are extremely friendly. Parking is nearby in Lot 2 of the Uvic campus. There is limited meter parking near ring rd but it is usually full.

The University of Victoria's auditorium. It is an nice space. Being a union house seems to make it difficult and expensive to use but it is a good venue from a spectator's perspective.

The Farquhar experience could be improved if you did this: 1. Allow patrons to register and pay in advance for parking so they don't have to join the end of a line of 20 people in the rain 2. Don't allow patrons to enter the auditorium late 3. Have a better concession 4. Provide more women's washroom stalls

I get being eco friendly and saving on costs, but when the place is full in the middle of June... Get some A/C! I had to leave the ceremony because it was so hot our infant was getting distressed. You don't have to have air conditioning running 24/7, but at least for events...

What can I say? This is an auditorium. There's not much else other than lots of seats and a stage. Perhaps if I was watching a performance it might be a different review, but I was there just for my son's graduation ceremony. So, I really don't have a great deal to say other than it was okay. I did find the seats a little small however, as the ceremony was 3 hours long they did start to get a little uncomfortable near the end.

Seats aren't made for heavier set people such as myself though. Took a look around and watched more than a few squirming to get into theirs. Some stood in the stairways instead of trying to squeeze into the teeny seats. If you have bad knees this venue is difficult to find seating as most seats require stairs. The event , my son's convocation, was worth it of course, but I'd decline going if it was for a theatre production, took 2 weeks for the bruises on my hips to subside.
