It was ok. The picture quality was good. The theatre was chilly, we had to keep our coats on. The seats were slightly uncomfortable with no cup holders. They only accept cash, no cards. I like that it's an older theatre with a lot of history but I won't be returning.

Nice enough staff but the seats are more than uncomfortable. I get that it costs a lot to replace them but still, some of them are impossible to sit in. The BIG PROBLEM is with the SOUND system. It is AWFUL. Full of distortion and detracts from the film (or actually makes the film impossible to even hear, e.g. Uncut Gems). The volume is turned up loud (?to compensate) but makes the sound even more distorted.

Nice place in center to watch #sensual #movies. #Good_prices. And lots of #parking in nearby small streets, in comparison with city center. #Not_busy, so you can really #relax and have #home_atmosphere, which is unlike other big theatres' Make a note they just take #cash and place is #old, but that gives it more #charm ????

There are good people working in this place. Very friendly and they really try to help. However, this place really needs to be renovated. For those who like vintage style, it is one of the best in town. In my opinion they could offer new movies but they only offer old ones... They have parking in the back of the building and their popcorn is amazing and is just $5 bucks lol.

Excellent old neighbourhood movie theatre. Cash only for tickets and snacks. Great popcorn, average seats, outstanding customer service. Lovely spacious theatre with good sightlines and good legroom.

If you love historic, vintage, retro style theatres with a unique selection of world films and independent cool film festivals, charming and cosy, you will love this place too. In past few years, that’s the only theatre in Toronto that I regularly visit. Highly recommended.

Watched a subtitled movie there and had to crane my neck to see the bottom of the screen because of the way the theaters seats are laid out. If you don't have to see a movie with subtitles the theater should be fine!

Nice old theatre with decent acoustics offering good movies that never insult one's intelligence and at reasonable prices. Very friendly staff. Their marquee doesn't display the names of the movies playing, which I think is potentially terrible for business.

Nice location. Small entrance but relatively large hall. I went there for a comedy movie. Technically, everything was fine and the sound, brightness and resolution were acceptable. There is a small counter that sells pop corn and light drinks, but don't froget to have cash!

Intolerant staff! The waiting space is just entrance corridor where 20-30 can squeeze in, worst part is that's the only exit. They r not considerate to even spare the lounge space for those who r in queue until previous show ppl exit. Rather, ppl r asked to wait in queue without even bothering about rain n cold outside the door. Worst part, no interval break given!! Commercial to the core; argument with audience. Nonsense!! No gap to do sanity check in theatre hall between each show!! No coffee, tea or other hot snacks available to buy. Only popcorn, candy & cool drinks. You see torn screen, on the projector-may be they have an interfering medium while projecting. Dobu believe that!! I still rated 2 because of decent toilet (which I had to use in the middle of movie) & good sound system.

Nostalgic feel of an authentic theatre. Seats are really nice and comfortable and the place is well kept and organized. Sound quality is fairly good and films were shown perfectly fine. Crew are absolutely helpful but there's no parking anywhere close, and parking in the street has it's own troubles.

Overall not bad for a 100 year old theater. Pretty big theater but there is only one room available so one movie at a time is shown. The thater was pretty cold and I found it a little pricy for an old theater. Also they only take cash

Great old theatre. One of a kind "neighbourhood" theatre that have mostly vanished in Toronto in favour of movie plex type theatres. I guess you could say the seats are comfy. Nice screen. Good acoustics. Usually never that busy, but depends on the movie. They have a good selection of movies & the price is right. Street parking only on Mt. Pleasant Rd.

An old theatre with dated and uncomfortable seating. We went for a comedy show and during intermission there were only two bathroom stalls so you can imagine the long lines for both mens and womens!

The movies scheduled in this theatre are the only reason why you go to the regent... rare movies that you wont be able to watch somewhere else in Toronto. Everything else is more a "whole in the wall" than vintage !

Movie is nice but the theatre is the worst I never experienced in my life. Approximately for 500 people there r only 3 washrooms which r so dirty to step in at least. These people r concentrating on money only
