Great seats wherever we sat for our movie! One of the more older versions of the Cineplex that could be due for a little bit of touch-up. The hallways feel really outdated and the washrooms feel a bit older than some locations I've been to (Scotiabank, Queensway and Yonge & Dundas). Very awkward placement of ticket checking (men's bathroom are outside the ticket entry while the women's bathroom are inside). Otherwise, still a pretty good movie theatre for your movie fix! You could miss this theatre if you don't know where it is (above the Sport Chek and at Exit A).

Really wanted to give a zero. Family day weekend the opening of a highly anticipated blockbuster movie and there is 4 cashiers. Wait times are extremely long. I am in line 20 mins to order my food when I get to the cashier I am advised that they don’t take debit or credit. I am advise that I will be put into another line to be served next. I was not serviced next and when asked to speak to a manger she could care less. Don’t recommend this theatre. I understand they are busy but I seen several cashiers empty. It’s called planning. Most of my family day experience was spent waiting in line for food

A theater with 10 screens and therefore 10 movies to choose from according to your interest. As it was inside Yorkdale Shopping Mall, it's either shop around or just look around before and after the movie. You may check out other amenities on the website.

TLDR: It's an aging Cineplex, staff are friendly there are lots of theatres available, but the seats are less comfortable than other locations and my popcorn has been stale more often than not. I've been to this Cineplex location a few times now and its been pretty consistent. The staff are your friendly mostly teenage crew who are there to make some cash and make sure you get into your movie and have some popcorn to go with you. Delightful folks. Everything surrounding the friendly demeanor is a bit more of a let-down. Let me be clear, you can still absolutely enjoy your movies here, but there's nothing to make it a great experience. Every time I've had popcorn at this location its never really been hot, the location lacks the 'pop mix stands' where you can get fun flavors like peach sprite, or cherry coke, and the seats are an older model that lean back but are not nearly as comfortable as the updated softer models you will find in new Cineplex theatres. The lack of VIP offerings is also a disappointment at this location but stems from it being an older location. You can enjoy your movies here, but this isn't the theatre to make it a special night out.

The movie theatres were large and had decently comfy seats that do recline. The only issue I have is the price for snacks and drinks at the front. 4 dollars for water?!?!? Are you guys insane? The Tim hortons that is also in the theater offers better deals.

Hard to find parking at Yorkdale on the weekends. Try a weekday movie time during the week when you can, no line ups at all before 4:30pm and ample parking can be found.

Why is there only one staff at the booth selling tickets during busy time on Saturday? We had to wait in the line for 20 minutes to use our coupons. It was also very crowded there in the line and no 2 meters distancing. Be aware to come way in advance if you need to use your coupon passes. The overall experience was good.

Always had a pretty pleasant experience here. One time however, they messed up the Family Favourites movie (played “Home” instead of “Home Alone” as advertised) and they gave us free passes and popcorn vouchers as an apology. Also, I don’t like that they don’t let in outside beverages unless it came from one of the restaurants that’s directly in the cinema area.

I only go here because it’s close to me. Washrooms are always filthy, usually flooded either with water, urine, or both and various things do not work in it. You can also look directly between the handicap stall and the adjacent one. Pricing on par with any other Cineplex of course which is over priced. Staff turns on the lights and cleans before all the scenes are even done and everyone has left. Party rooms are always filthy despite not even being in use. Staff seem to hate their jobs. Last time I was here my gf ended up ruining her pants and then my car seat because there was gum on the seat. Will likely be impossible to remove from both. I guess it’s an acceptable option if you’re close.

Amazing customer support with Manager Derek. Upon entry into one of the movie rooms, my friend slipped and fell, dropping her drink due to a wet surface without a wet sign present. Upon advising the manager who handled distress of an injured person amazingly well, he also had great professionalism with the utmost concern to our experience and enjoyment of the movie still. Thank you again Derek!

Really nice location. In Yorkdale so great to be able to shop and then watch a movie. Seats and theatres are spacious and comfortable. I also love that there is a concession stand, and Tim hortons. However arcade is kind of small and outdated.

I went to cineplex yorkdale yesterday (26 dec 2021 at 10.55 ) for spider man movie .when we got there and went to get some beverages from cineplex they said they are are closed and can’t give anything not even a drink .we ordered something online and went to pick it up ,we ran to the front door because we didn’t wanted to miss the movie when we came back two employees came from a room ( short hair lady looks like phillipino and a girl with long hair (they weren’t in the front I think they were in the room where the cameras were ) .They were very very rude and spoke to us with bad attitude asked us to toss out the food and acted as if we had done something so wrong and asked so many questions. Absolutely rude ! Horrible experience !!

Visited on a Saturday night-was easy to buy tickets-fast service at the snack bar . To find good seat u need to show up 45min before start . Clean and relaxing experience. Parking lot requires extra attention when driving trough. I would recommend this place to family and friends. I will return . Enjoy!

Exactly as one would imagine it. Washroom was a little gross, and the female washroom is accessible once you've given them your ticket, while the male washroom is accessible outside this area. The place is rather old.

Yorkdale is a bit too glitzy for me these days, mostly just a shopping experience, but the cinema is nice and easy to get into. Good seats, good service, and a nice atmosphere without overwhelming noise in the lobby.

Around 2017 there were many problems with this Cineplex (movie audio dropping out, air conditioning being broken, lights on/off at the wrong time, rude staff, etc.) but I have not had any issues here recently in 2019. It's still a small Cineplex with bad washrooms (Water taps where you have to push a button down for three seconds of water! What is this - a gas station in 1993?) but overall it's fine now. And if you were ever curious, the exit doors at the bottom of the theaters lead out to the top level of parking garage C so don't go that way unless you're parked up there.

Came here with my girlfriend and had a great time, I don’t usually go to movies but I had free tickets so I didn’t mind. I will definitely come back here again but the food here was bad and they told me I wasn’t allowed to bring any outside food in the theatre. It’s okay I guess I didn’t come where for the food but having some throb game to munch on would be great..

If I was able to rate 0 I would. The service was awful. I was looking for something and the only answer I got was ask the front desk. And when I did I got no answer. The cinema was filthy and the seats were crusty. Very disgusting. If you are in the area I advise to go to a different theatre.

Compared to the theaters that I normally frequent, this movie theater is outdated and the seats are really uncomfortable. Tonight we watched No Way Home (auditorium 5 - 7pm) and the amount of people that we observed using flash photography in the lower rows of seats was ridiculous. Throughout the movie, only one staff member entered the auditorium, went across to the side opposite the entrance and did something in what looked like a box on the wall. Then when I addressed the distracting and annoying flash photography with a manager, he brushed it off and said "Uh-oh, well that's not good" and then went on to say that they do their best to do a several checks in the auditoriums throughout the movie (clearly not true in this case), but that they are not able to catch everything that happens. In this case, what the manager told me would have made sense if it had been one or two incidents at random times in between staff member visits. This, however, was an ongoing issue throughout the entire movie. None of the inconsiderate perps were caught because the supposed "checks" that should have been performed by staff members throughout never happened. When we walked out of the auditorium, staff were all grouped in two different areas of the facility, no one was walking around doing checks of any auditoriums. No one is saying to make staff sit through entire movies, but they definitely need to have staff cycle through auditoriums. Never have I had such an annoying experience at any Cineplex screening, and I am both perplexed and baffled at the number of people with phones out and flash photography going off. How inconsiderate of those who actually want to enjoy the experience. Just stay home and rent the movie if you're going to do that guys, please.

Went on a Sunday night, surprisingly the place was completely packed. Luckily I bought our tickets online. The Kiosks weren't working and I along with a bunch of other people had to wait in line anyway. It was very annoying and they only had one cash open. Eventually 2 more cashes opened and when I went to claim my ticket I was told I had to have my credit card and ID available. I had neither and was told it was policy and that I would not be able to retrieve my tickets. After some pleading the lady allowed me to get my tickets. Because this had added about an extra 20 minutes of time the movie had already started and the only seats available were the ones right in front that break your neck. I don't know if I would go to this theater again...

Easy access to the theatre, even though Yorkdale parking is usually a nightmare. Was disappointed that the moving in the Screen-X theatre was not actually in 270 degrees - this was the only reason for driving out of our way to this location. Wish Cineplex mentioned this. I Lived the 3D experience (Avengers-Infinity War) and how the seats tilted back. The washrooms left a lot to be desired. Why don't they replace the toilet paper in the ladies room and clean it more often. Were they short staffed on Sunday?

I've been going here since I qas quite young and it's only improved with time. Not the biggest theatre but definitely one of the better and cleaner ones. The selection of food you can purchase and bring inside is great! Now I can more than just popcorn and the prices are actually reasonable. My only other complaint/compliment? It's rare but it does happen but sometimes people talk quite loud and it gets annoying. Although sometimes, I will admit, it does work for the better. When the movie starts to build hype, you definitely feel it and the theatre experience does improve significantly because of the audience. Otherwise, it's generally a fun time after shopping around Yorkdale.

Seats were 2 small and bunched in My experience was uncomfortable They need to have a system in place that allows for seats to be unoccupied next to large bookings. Went and saw Birds of Prey and there was about 30 empty seats towards the front and the back ten rows were filled to capacity. I don't like sitting within a half inch of a total stranger. This needs to be rectified

Last night I went with my family to a private event, the ladies at door that were checking the QR codes were screaming, rude and being disrespectful. One lady aggressively took my ID out of my hands without asking while being rude. thats not the way you treat customer, It wasn't free I paid my ticket. They event planners were under prepared, with not enough food or snacks for the customers entering the event.

Entry door to our auditorium had a window in it, which leaked a rectangle of light onto the screen the entire time - the was no second layer of solid doors to seal the place! Didn't bother me so much but i would not recommend this place to A/V nerds.

Pro: Staff is always friendly, theater is always clean. Con: Too few space to sit in the lobby, washroom (around the toilets) gets pretty icky during busy days, and the water in the washroom is always cold. None of the Cineplex/Famous Players theaters provide heated water to wash your hands with. It's hard enough to get my kids to wash their hands, haha, it's harder when the water is ice cold. Will always be a fan of the conglomerate that Cineplex has become. I love that they are an evolving company, constantly changing the industry with their innovations. They were the first theater to create a rewards card, they have interactive games available with the movie screen before the movie starts, they have taken advantage of the smartphone technology and allow you to show your tickets and coupons right on your phone. I'm excited to see them continue to grow.

I only watched movies here roughly 2 times before because I don't go to Yorkdale often. It's just like your usual cineplex. It does get really dirty though, but I would blame that on the customers lol. I feel bad for the workers sometimes. The theatre floors would literally be full of trash and popcorn bits.

Management Please Read Last night I watched Spider-Man and it was amazing. The show was sold out and surprisingly I was the first in line. The line was extremely long and as always there were a lot of late people trying to sneak into the theatre earlier or hover around the door like vultures. Fortunately the MANAGERS and EMPLOYEES saw this and were not push overs. Told them vultures to get the f@&! back in line. Thank you, keep up the good work! I was there for the 10:10pm Spider-Man showing on July 11, 2017. Give them all a raise!

Sucks that there are only one set of washrooms. For the men's you have to walk out of the the ticketed zone, but the women's you don't. The theatre needs a small face lift to match the other theatres throughout the city.

This is my go to theatre. Experiences there have been hit and miss. Sometimes the machines don’t work. Staff can be challenged to keep up to cleaning demands during busy movies times. Otherwise, staff are always friendly and helpful. There are plenty of movies to choose from and multiple food options.

It's still my favourite location. The staff vary between knowledgeable and kind to dead inside and rude. Their stock is usually topped, which is great. The theatre auditoriums seem mostly clean. And most of the seats are comfortable. There are some seats that need deep cleaning and to be replaced.

I like this cinema because it is in the mall. So really you can shop around till your movie time or have dinner then head straight to your movie. It is on the second floor but there is an escalator and elevator so don't worry, you don't have to walk up any stairs. There is a food place there to get popcorn and stuff. The movies featured there are pretty much the same you would find in any other cineplex.

I made several attempts to contact the theatre without any success as the phone line does not allow me the option to speak to a manager. So I am forced to simply leave a review. Several weeks ago I came to this theatre. Unbeknownst to me at the time, but I was suffering from a stomach bug and had run out of the theatre because I was, crudely put, puking my guts out. I could barely sit upright because of the pain. I was hunched over with pain seated by glass door to the party room when along came this young angel, Instahil ~ I believe is her name. I think she heard me giving up my lunch in the ladies' room. She came to my rescue by generously offering me soda water and when that didn't help, she went to grab me regular water and even offered me a cup of hot water. I may have missed most of the movie, but thanks to her kind gesture I was able to drive myself to a nearby Hospital. I just wanted to let mgmt know and thank her for all her help.

I like everything about this mall. It's filled with majority of the brand name stores (except for Hollister and others) and many other stores that sell shoes, body care etc. They've recently expanded the mall and added more brand new stores/departments like Uniqlo and Nordstrom. The food court can be crowded, but the foods there are okay. I also like that at the entrance and exit from the TTC area (if you take the subway) there's a small Tim Hortons, Source, Security Desk and a variety store. They also have a certified performer by the TTC who sings, plays the piano and guitar every time, all the time, and they sell art and books along the way when you're exiting/entering the mall. Anyways, I like everything about Yorkdale. I've been here hundreds of times and have engraved every detail into my brain about the mall.

It was my sons 6th birthday and we Went to see Avengers End Game.forgot his name, the manager was really great even gave my son a toy!???? There was an issue with a defective seat I had reserved and the management team took quick action to fix the issue right away. Maybe next year, I'll reserve a room and have my son a popcorn birthday party there. My overall experience was absolutely fantastic.

Located in the end of Yorkdale mall, this theatre is very similar to all other Cineplex theatres. The prices, service, selection and refreshments are all the same as the other theatres. Not much to separate them but at least you have access to the larger mall nearby.

I know I'm going back quite a few years ago, but a child movie ticket used to be $4.50. Now the price has gone up over 100% to $11.50. We're not talking about moving seats or 3D or something like that, just a plain movie. These days there's no service. The line up is for a kiosk where they want you to pay with a debit or credit card. They want you to download the app and pay before you even get there. The small slushy is over $5 and not worth it, it's never ready.

It is Tuesday. I purchased the ticket from the machine. I thought the machine made an error by changing $10.99 instead of $7.99. Talked to the cashier and then to the Manager. No mistake they said, after giving all kinds of scenarios to justify the overcharge. Apparently this location has been making their own pricing. Had been to every cinema/Cineplex in QB, BC, ON, 3D or Regular, SilverCity, FamousPlayers, etc, and none charge more than $7.99 for Tuesday. Will not be watching at Yorkdale on Tuesday anymore. The staff are great and courteuos though. Thank you.

I accidentally forgot my wallet rushing to get to the movie. Instead of refunding me for my Ticket the manger realizing I wouldn't make it back offered me a drink and popcorn. I would do the same in my business. However this was above anf beyond seeing as it was not his own business. It's not the easiest to get to for a movie but all the Manager asked was I come back and use his theatre again. And that will be a for sure.

Covid protocols were not being followed. They literally sat strangers right beside us, wasn't there supposed to be social distancing? When I asked one of the cineplex employees why that was she did not have an answer and did not even know what the social distancing protocols were. Everyone was in their correct seats but we were all sitting next to each other. The staff were also not in the best mood. They could at least say thank you or you're welcome.

Eglinton & Yonge Cineplex needs to upgrade all theater seating for health & safety reasons of customer safety & comfort level. Not all movie customer attendees notice the dangers of older seats breaking down from wear and tear of every day use. Cineplex theaters across the GTA needs to post signs announcement to audience to honor with respect public space with care. Also go report Cineplex staff if any damage to the seat they were sitting in had damage done to it.

Overall just ok. Giving it a 3 star because honestly the seats really suck at this theater. They are small, uncomfortable and rows are so close together, barely any leg room and I'm a small guy. Also find that out isn't the cleanest theater. Was here just last week and there were dirty napkins in the cup holders by my seat. Just tells me the cleaning is not optimal. I usually find the floors sticky and messy.

We went to the 7:20 show and the place was a mess, garbage over flowing. We ended up exchanging our tickets for a later show b/c it was too full. When we came back for the 10pm show the garbage was still overflowing, floors were a mess and there was no paper towels in the woman's washroom.

I did co-op there a couple years back. I honestly loved it. The team was welcoming and helped me learn new things. I ended up getting hired but sadly had to leave because I lived to Pickering. They even transferred and it was so easy. Fro Savage Brast, i'm assuming you're bothered and said they're disrespectful because you weren't hired and upset about it. So there's nothing savage about posting false comments on a website.

Treated horrible by a staff member named KIM, He was rushing us and pushed us to hurry up, felt so horrible. He practically tossed my change on the counter in such a rude manner. I would possibly understand if there was a line up and he was hoping to minimize the line up, but there was no one behind me. I was treated so horrible I ended up saying to him in a sarcastic tone "thank you for making me feel so welcomed, and not pressured or rushed" , The young man put his two thumbs up, and said "Ya, sure anytime" then laughed. I had a horrible experience at this place and I've been watching movies at this theater for the longest time. I just went to go and see Black panther.Why is it exactly that I have to move out of my seat when I was there 1st.When it comes to this assigned seating foolishness it makes no sense at all.I was with my family and we got high levels of disrespect from the manager and also other people.I highly dont recommend going back to that place because I just wanted to watch a movie and paid $60.00 to watch a very good movie in bad quality. Better than other Cineplex as seats are leatherette which suggests you won't get bedbugs as you might in cloth upholstered seats. Downside is that you have to self serve non-butter topping, a pain especially if you want it layered. Also, with the high priced, high profit popcorn, they now charge for the flavour shakers. Like with other theatres, concessions (and admissions) are overpriced. I remember when going to the movies didn't break the bank.

@cineplexyorkdale Went to Yorkdale on Saturday to watch endgame knew the movie was long so prepared my self for sitting in one spot for 2+ hrs. Didn't prepare to be in a ice box for 2+ the theatre was so cold thought of leaving and asking for a refund throughout the movie. Ruined the whole film for me because the whole time I was thinking of ways to stay warm instead of being ingaged in the film.

I come to this location quite often, only because it is the closest. I mean the theatres alone are great. Big screen (some screens have like scratches and blemishes if you look close enough lol) BUT with the staff.. well I mean their young, and trained well to the extent where they don’t want to lose their jobs. But I came one night to watch IT with a date, we were both 19, sadly we don’t look it (I got a baby face) and this young man refused to let us in even though we have already BOUGHT our ticket because of no ID. And there was a HUGE line behind us trying to get in, so it was honestly embarrassing. I have been coming here for a while now and have watched many horror movie 18+ n have never been asked this.

Uncomfortable seats. Management has no idea what they're doing and have no respect for paying customers. Halfway through my movie today a person was escorted back into the theater by a staff member. This person took 7 minutes to use a flashlight and talk to people, all while a manager was staring at him encouraging him to keep disrupting the film. Drive to another theater. It's worth your time to avoid this one like the plague.

Never really had a problem except once when the film got super distorted but they gave everyone some kind of coupon at the end, even when I went to see hunger games and the theatre was packed they gave free tickets to people forced to sit in front row. Only issue is people kicking seats or having crying kids, so maybe better usher service but other than that I find it pretty top

The Cineplex at the Yorkdale mall is awesome. We saw Jumanji 2 in x-screen which turned out to be a great experience. Video and sound quality was amazing. On the other hand, theater was kept clean and neat despite large human traffic. I really loved the place and recommend to everyone.

5* for Cineplex but 1* for security who doesn't allow us to enjoy our show. The tickets were booked a day ago for 3:50pm show, we were on time to enjoy the show but security was so rude and ask us to wait in line for an hour. It's completely ridiculous to wait until 4:50 in line to enjoy the show that ran an hour....which is soo stupid.

This theater is located in the Yorkdale mall. It is a small theater . However as it is inside the mall is of a decent size. There is a Tim Hortons on location and staff tends to be quick on snacks. Easy access by public transit and free parking. Located near a highway as well. No self filling soda machines.

All of the self serve ticket machines have issues, which would be fine if the regular ticket counter still had multiple employees. Unfortunately the machines have replaced actual employees, so if it's busy the ticket buying process can can way longer than it should.

The theater was clean, the staff wore masks, so concern there. My only issue is, and for me it is a big one, that the popcorn is pre-popped and so it just sits there. For how long it sits there who knows. I'm the type of who enjoys stale or cold popcorn. Now if you ask to have a fresh batch made, the staff sometimes complies or sometimes they refuse. Now without a nice hot bag of popcorn one cannot enjoy a movie!

Went there at 10:00pm with my family. We were watching how to train a dragon 3. Although we came late, the popcorn tasted fresh. My kids and their friends had a blast while waiting in the arcade. The employees were very nice and patient with my 7 year old son who was asking too many questions. The quality of the movie was amazing. The washrooms were spacious and clean. The seats were also clean. I also liked that there weren't a lot of ads before the movie. My kids were really enjoying the timeplay

My boyfriend & I go to Cineplex Cinemas typically once per month and never usually have poor experiences. We usually go to the Durham Region surrounding locations but, this time we were near Yorkdale after shopping. The customer experience at Yorkdale's Cineplex was horrendous this past Friday evening. We had 3 touchpoints with their staff and each interaction was mind-boggling to us. First, was the employee working at the front who sold us our tickets. Though we were friendly since we once worked customer service ourselves in the past and understand the job, this employee literally didn't respond with any basic simple small talk dialogue back and was actually typing on her iPhone the entire time... The second interaction was at the Outtakes (I believe that's what it's called), where we interacted with a girl who we asked for a meal from. Perhaps she was new but, she had to ask an employee to come over to figure out how to input our choice and then once we handed her our Scene card, she literally forgot to scan it in the end. That said - it was dead with no one in line so, attention to detail in a busy scenario... sure, but on a night like the other night it just doesn't make sense. Lastly, our third interaction was with a young man who handed us our food and upon handing it to us, forgot part of the meal. Then, when we asked if we could nicely have a box with it - his body language made as if it was an insult to ask for that and he proceeded to pass it to us without even making eye contact. We said thank you but he just walked off not even acknowledging that. He went back and chatted with two others and seemed much more interested in socializing with his employee friends rather than his customer. Yorkdale Cineplex... what is going on there? The morale & engagement seems so low, it's as if it's pulling teeth to have any of your employees have a positive interaction or even a smile. Either these employees are lying to you in the interviews of their capabilities to work a customer service job and the follow-through on your end during their probational period is lacking in correcting these discrepancies or, perhaps you're only training employees on the task part of their job ie. how to use the computers there but not how they should be interacting with their guests during the process. Jobs in customer service are 50% doing the task at-hand and 50% providing positive upbeat client experiences. Your employees appear to be getting paid for only doing half of their job.

It’s an ok size, the food isn’t great, the prices are just as expensive as you think and it’s not as clean as it could be. They have enough machines to make buying a ticket fast. Oddly parts of their floor in the theatre are slippery in the exact part where people eat buttery popcorn, so I saw a couple people slip. The seats have been upgraded, the people are fairly polite and it’s nice you can get things pretty quickly

My girlfriend went here with a friend Thursday night and had chicken tenders....she was vomiting and had it coming out the other end as well for a day later. She is still sick having a hard time eating and may need further medical attention. This is what happens when you don't make sure your staff are trained well in kitchens. When i was at this location previously i notice there were bad food handling happening in that kitchen. I would advise cineplex to make sure that the children they have employed are properly trained in food handling.....i wonder if they have their food handling certification or not....hmmmm.

Went in the morning of Saturday for a private screening at the last cinema. Being in the mall imbues a lot of advantages in terms of underground parking from the harsh weather, electric vehicle charging as well as spacious parking and shops to visit. The cinema was reasonably clean, the audio quality was exceptional and the seats were comfortable.

On friday night of last movie, Feb.14,2020.Garbage outside the movie door. Carpet lot of popcorn crumble.The carpet floor is sticky with a lot of garbage left on the floor and to the drink holder. The seat on the center area are felt of climbing bugs on my feete. The washroom is dirty. Lastly is shocking, a man with a red jacket enter a woman washroom for 3 minutes of stayed, my husband show it and told me.

Me and my boyfriend bought two tickets $36.50 for the mummy that came out today total misunderstanding with our seats and another customer seats the other customer decided to handle it immaturely I went back to the manager her name is Esther she handled the situation very professionally and gave us our money back which is $36.50 and two free passes worth up to 50 bucks the yellow ones
