Place is ok, in general , limited variety of movies, very noisy outside, dry expensive small bottle of water 5$+ It happened now twice with me that we were unable to continue the movie due to technical or maintenance issues First time was the light on during the whole movie and second time the Air conditioning was defaulted and the place was like a furnace. Extreme hot . However , they gave us courtesy ticket !! I think they should give two as we wasted our time .

I love going to the movies and this location is one of the best ones; it’s easily accessible via TTC and from Yonge Street (if you’re walking there) and it also has underground parking available. The staff are friendly and helpful and all the Covid-19 protocols are in place.

This Cineplex is at a great location as Empress Walk is connected to North York Centre Station.There are few flight of escalators to climb up there though. I watches Deadpool 2 in IMAX here .The screen was bigger than any Cineplex i have been to in Toronto.I have been searching for a big screen cinema hall like this ever since i came here.The seats are pretty comfortable as well.I recommend to anyone who wants a mega screen and big hall.It does not look big in the attached photo in my review as i was in the back but it is better than others.

This Cineplex is very convenient. The subway station is right beneath the building and they also have basement parking. Although it is at the top, you can easily ride an elevator or walk on a unique stairwell. Their theatre is clean and not too crowded. Ordering food was easy breezy, very clean counters and fairly organized. Butter outside the counter, along with ketchup and stuff is a plus for me. If you want other food or snacks, a grocery store is just floors below. We would love to come back here when we get to shop up North.

My favorite theater in whole GTA. Its unique in it's own way. Has very large auditoriums with great audio quality. Great seats, always clean. Free underground parking is a big big Bonus in winter.

Good Cineplex at Empress Walk. Was Empire Theatres when it first opened. Clean and not too crowded. Direct subway access or free validated parking underground. Lots of great dining options within walking distance.

As a North York resident, I love how easily I can come for a movie. Although the place is in the middle of North York, it is not that crowded too. Also, the staffs are really nice. One time, I somehow lost my movie ticket, and they verified very quickly and let me in. I really appreciate their work!

The theatres seem smaller in comparison to other cineplex locations. The theatre my friend and I happened to sit in smelt really bad, so it was a rough 2 hour movie. However I have been here a few more times after that and it's a really convenient cineplex to get to when you are in the area.

This is going to be a review of this specific Cineplex, not Cineplex as a company. In my opinion, this location is tops. This isn’t the biggest Cineplex (there are only 10 theatres), but it does have IMAX, party rooms, and a little arcade overlooking Yonge street. What is amazing about this location is that it is rarely super busy. You can actually go see a movie on an opening night and not worry about getting a seat. This alone makes it number one in my eyes. The theatre itself is also pretty neat. There is a huge escalator that will take you to the theatre and big windows you can eat by and look out at Yonge street and Mel Lastman Square.

Located at North York Centre, empress walk. TTC accessible or validated underground parking with direct elevator to the theatre. Good selection of films that might not get picked up elsewhere and I've seen special film events take place at this location as well. It's never too busy. Although, the elevator to the parking garage after a film let's out tends to get crazy line up and really no alternative way to get past it but to wait it out. Theatre is always clean. The staff have always been friendly, polite and efficient whether it be at the ticket station, at the concession or taking my ticket. Comfortable seats and spacious and a good variety of films!

The movie was great BUT there was NO physical distancing and the theatre was PACKED. Limits aren’t to be lifted until Monday, but I guess Cineplex is more interested in profits than in keeping people safe and following the legislated protocols.

The parking of this place is not good and frankly there are not enough good signs that can guide you back to the parking once you are in it. The seats of the cinema itself are too small! I have been to other cineplex cinemas and I think this one had the smallest seats. The dolby sound system works fine but they leave it unnecessarily loud which was a little bit annoying.

The whole mall is pretty cool to look through. The ticket machines are easy to use, although mine seemed to have a print malfunction. Staff quickly fixed the problem though. Lots of lanes for the concession stand. After they play the last movie, they turn off the arcade games.

Nice movie theatre with the usual food concessions. Well maintained auditoriums with offerings like IMAX and Dbox. Being inside the Empress mall has the advantage of easy access to the subway line and plenty of options for a bite after the movie.

One of the cheapest theatres out there. There are steaks of light across the screen in multiple auditoriums (not sure if it's an issue with the screen or the projector); imagine watching dark, scary scenes with half of the screen contaminated by white light. Totally ruined the experience. They didn't fix the problem or even recognize it during the shut-down. So disappointed to see those still-damaged screens after waiting for months for them to reopen.

Super accessible, always clean and regular movies, quite a nice place over all. Concessions stand is big, with lots of pay stations. Kids party area is ok, but the game zone is nice. Remember to validate your parking ticket before you get to the parking garage!

Love this theatre. Never too many people. Great seats. Friendly staff. Mindbogglingly high prices on concessions, no different from other theatres in that regard. There are other food options too. Great atmosphere, very good video games section for kids. A couple of party rooms, though I have never actually used them so I am not sure how well they do in that regard. The overall look of the theatre is pretty great. Highly recommend. The mall has a lot of amenities too.

I went to this place for Spiderman: No Way Home's premiere and I can easily say that I was highly satisfied and it was a great experience. I entered downstairs and there was an escalator that was specifically for entering Cineplex. The building, environment, and its overall placement is highly convenient. There is a subway station that can be accessed directly from the mall. There is a huge supermarket in the bottom floor that not only has everything, but also creates a dope view from above. The Cineplex itself was also very organized and well designed. They have used the limited space they had with great efficiency. I walked in, got my vaccination proof and ID checked, and searched for my auditorium. The auditoriums are very easy to find, the concession and box office are well placed and the service by the wonderful staff was amazing. Its a particularly tough job and they handled it amazingly. The movie, needless to say, was beyond mesmerising. It felt like a dream that I witnessed what I witnessed. All in all, I had an amazing time there and highly recommend it to everyone. The billboards on the side of each auditorium entrance, however, could be improved. Thank you!

Manager made me throw away my take out that I was not planning to consume on premise. He was very rude when conveying this message. Moreover, the notice posted in the theatre says “no food or beverage allowed to be consumed on premises”. He forced me to throw away perfectly good food into the trash that I was not planning to consume.

They say movie starts at 10.40 on show timings but in reality they will just add up another 20 mins advertisements so actually movie starts at 11( If you are lucky that too)

This Cineplex was good before. The parking destroys your good time in the theatre. Their machine does not work or charge you for a ticket that you got from Cineplex, or at best, you should wait more than 20 minutes for three or four cars to pass. I will never go there again.

Since it is a top-class downtown in terms of location, there are many facilities around it, a large floating population, and convenient parking. That is why other acquaintances often visit us in addition to my family. Also, compared to other movie theaters, it is very large and there are a lot of screening movies, and its location is close to home, and it is easy to come and go through the subway. In particular, I recently became interested in movies, so the frequency of visits increased.

Went to see Spider-man on Saturday with my wife. The theatre was pretty empty and 20 minutes in some guy came in with his kid. They sat off to one side and every once in a while I would hear odd sounds coming from there section. About an hour in I see the kid bolting for the door. I figure he is going to the wash room but he never returns. 15 minutes after that I hear the sound of liquid being poorer onto the floor. I don’t know if the guys has split his drink, is being sick, or what. Either way it is weirding me out enough that I exit the theatre and ask that someone check on this guy. A few minutes later one of the “managers” comes in spends about 1.5 seconds assessing the situation, determines all is well and leaves. 20 minutes after that the guy who is clearly sh*t faced drunk is flat on his face on the ground right beside me. Thanks a million for completely ruining our evening Cineplex. Your “managers” knack for being utterly useless is without equal.

This movie theatre is located in the top floor of Empress Walk, right above North York Subway Station. The location is convenient, and there is quite a bit of food around if you're looking to grab a bite to eat before/after the show. The prices are typical of any Cineplex, which is hella expensive for what you get ($15 for popcorn and a drink??). There are a bunch of arcade games and a large area upstairs that you can sit and eat or relax if you're early to the theatre. The ticket queue system is messed up here, and its the same line whether you're doing self-serve or with a representative which slows things down significantly. Best idea is to purchase online before you go.

This Cineplex is one of my favorites most likely because of convenience. It’s located right on North York station for TTC and it has a big parking lot that is free up to 3 hours if you watch a movie. The quality of the movies is of course standardized across Cineplex, depending on the scale of theatre (ie IMAX, 3D, etc), so I’m basing this off of other factors. The employees there are all quite friendly and approachable. As an additional benefit, it’s located inside a mall/plaza, including a Loblaws, so you can take care of other businesses before or after your movie. Would visit again for sure.

I am upset because nowhere on the website they mention about the parking and new policies. There is free parking for 3 hours if you want to watch movie. They blocked the access to the 4th floor and just open the gate 30 min before the show time because of Covid
