This is a fantastic venue, serves alcohol, and is excellent for watching musical performances. I recently saw khruangbin play here and I was impressed with the acoustics. The only lame thing is that there are no in and outs. Not sure if that is for all shows though.

Angelica Gonzalez

Great venue! intimate but also can hold a good sized crowd, many of my favourite artist have played here and I've always enjoyed the sound and vibe of the place. Staff have always been friendly and know how to handle a big crowd of people trying to enter the venue.

Helene Childs

Hard to have the same fun with masks, fun place though

Maria-Clara Belluco

I went for a stand up comedy show and the seats were very uncomfortable, the rows were arranged too tightly together, giving you zero leg room, which happened for all the rows around me. Perhaps for a standing concert or the balcony seats there is more comfort.

gary norton

older theatre but still serves its purpose Next to the theater is a sports bar if you go in there and get a drink we found you take the receipt to the front of the line and we did not have to wait in the long line that wrapped around the block they told us the sports bar is owned by the same people that own the theater it was so amazing to get past the long line up and enjoying a couple drinks while doing it My fiance and I went to The Vogue theater to see passenger and we did have a good time

Michael McComb

Great, old, cozy venue. Keeps shows intimate. Sound is clear. Shows with open standing allow you to get close to stage. Seats are comfortable, but slightly tilted. We sat about halfway from back and light from soundboard operator unfortunately does impact some seats. Overall, a great place to see bands.

Brittany

Good venue. Got to see my favourite band play! Good mix of open standing space and seating.

Selina Li

Great place. The staff were all really nice , good security, communication was amazing. Of course, cleanness was slightly less than satisfactory at the end of the concert, which is understandable considering the amount of people who have come and gone.

Cory Ayler

Great venue to hear your favorite artists, but don't expect to hear them play for long. Was a bit disappointed by the venue's licensing that only allows them to play music till 12 a.m. This doesn't allow a lot of time to hear your artist if your show starts at 10 p.m., especially if there's an opening band.

W Y

I came here to watch Nao's concert and thoroughly enjoyed it! I love this small and intimate venue. The artist can be so close to the audience and the atmosphere is magical! Big arenas can't compare to this.

motaz adam

Been to two ticketed shows here so far. Always been quick to get inside and everyone from the security to the ticket checkers are respectful and very fast. The sound is great inside, the lights are awesome even though most of that has to do with the performers. I never noticed it getting too hot in there and was always pretty comfortable during the shows. They've got an upper section upstairs for people who want to sit and see the show from the seats and they had an open section at floor level for those who want to get up and dance. There are also seats on the floor level. So far it's always been great coming to shows here.

Rachael Jones

I went there for a music concert (Lights). The venue is centrally located, easy to make your way there on foot. A little dated, but was a great concert venue.

Emily

I've been here twice in the last couple months for concerts and love it! Small enough that you can easily see the performers but we could stand back from the stage and have plenty of space to dance. Washrooms and bars are on both ground and second floor which is super convenient. Nice staff both times, good audio and lights, clean, options to sit or stand during shows. A new favorite venue for me!

Guillermo Caballero

Beautiful and Spacious music venue with great sound and staff!! It accommodates both seats and a dancing stage that will give you a great view of the performer from wherever you are. Drinks are limited and a bit overpriced.

Paul “Paul Q” Quilichini

One of my favourite venues in the city. Sure, it's run down and dirty, but the sound is usually great and it's laid out properly. The staff has always been good. I've been there for dozens of shows and I'll keep going back. It gets better as you get older since you appreciate being able to sit when you go for a show on a week night.

Hannah De Jong

Went to a show at the Vogue on December 11, and was disappointed to see that despite the PHO mask mandate still in effect, this venue was doing absolutely zero to enforce it. Many audience members were unmasked the entire show. Almost the whole row in front of us was not wearing masks. There were people walking around enforcing a no-photo policy, but not the mask mandate.

Jessica Hong

This theatre gives off a very old school vibe. It is smaller than some venues but it feels more personable. Sound is fantastic and the staff were very fast and efficient in getting everyone inside the venue. As expected, food and drinks at the bar are overpriced but decent quality.

Karumbaiah K G

I think I missed the memo where it said it's okay to not leave a gap in-between seats, so I was shook when I saw the really close seating. My armrest was broken too and my arm hung out on my side as I watched Izzard doing his possibly last show of his career. The view was amazing , the theatre has an old charm to it. The sea of white hair had me worried if my sense of humor was too different from the zoomer gen but no, I could related to a lot and had a blast. The availability of alcohol and snacks made it even more of a good experience. Just fix those broken chairs.

Mel Sterling

Wicked venue, clean and well kept. Love it here!

Armand Rashid

Absolutely love this venue for live shows. The floor gets really hot though so be sure to coat check your jacket upstairs. If the floor isnt your scene the balcony is a great spot to sit and watch you don't miss out on the great sound.

Gary H

Very cramped. The seats were touching each other and the venue itself was very very hot. As a larger gentleman (6'2" 275lbs) the seating was very cramped to the point of me being past the point of just touching the people next to me. Seats could easily be spaced out an an inch or so apart and make it more comfortable. The show was amazing but the set up of the venue made it uncomfortable to enjoy

Vera

Great venue. Has coat check, bar, clean bathrooms, big stage, seating area on first floor and balcony. Also has an open space for standing near the stage.

Dimitri Korol

Good venue. Lower level has seating over the back half of the room, but people usually stand in front of the stage, which means that if you're sitting, you won't be able to see the artist on stage. Drinks are quite expensive too. Sound quality is good.

Chelsea McKenzie

Great venue and one of the few with consistent all ages shows. Saw ALYSSA Edwards there and the sound quality was great, good visibility from our seats (right centre orchestra) and reasonable ticket prices.

Sunny Wellington

I enjoy the 70's shabby opulence of the place. No complaints on the sound. It isn't up to the standards of some other venues but is still highly satisfying. The smaller, casual setting means the opening bands sometimes do their own set-up...the vibe is welcoming and chill. Staff is accomodating and efficient. The drinks fall on the weak side. Come early and line up if you want choice spots. My favorites: right in front of the stage or the front row of the balcony. Or come later and you'll still likely score a good view. This past week we shared a box of pizza from a joint several stores down. We scarfed the steaming slices as we stood in the lightly drizzling rain. (Why does food always taste better outside?!?) Then we were entertained by the music fantastical that is, "Hey Rosetta".

Atis Metuzals

Really enjoyed the show with Uriah Heep. All the seating in the balcony was spacious with no bad views. Staff seemed to be courteous and moved the crowd in right on time and quickly. I was even allowed to drink a beer in my seat. What a blessing!

Thomas Panio

Great sized venue for artists that are just starting to gain traction in popular culture. Atmosphere is great, it doesn't smell bad and the seating is fairly well laid out. I saw BROCKHAMPTON at the Vogue in February and it was probably one of the best concerts I've ever been to. The coat check wasn't placed in a great spot, but fantastic venue other than that. I look forward to many more concerts at the Vogue in the future. Would recommend!

Derek Ferchoff

Good venue! Saw Pink Sweat$ and had an awesome time. The seating rows are a little tight when trying to walk through people.

Mike Riley

A great venue, the sound was amazing. The staff was friendly and helpful and other than the seats being a little firm for my liking I had a great time!

breanne lewis

I'm a big fan of the more intimate, authentic feel of this venue (same with The Rickshaw Theatre) maybe even more than the big shows you can see at a stadium show. Been to a handful of shows ranging from pop to alt metal, and each time it just feels comfortable. Staff at the bars and merch tables are always super friendly too :)

Julie “Chronfused” Barrera

Such a rad venue, a bit pricy but the sound and stage are always stunny

Andy Aras

Intimate venue for concerts. Seats are very close together and not comfortable is sitting too long.

Kevin D

Been here for many concerts, love the space and good location but a few big pains: Alcohol is $$$ Security can be rude Lineups for coat check are poorly managed (blocks walkways)

Braeden Tang-Munn

Very fun place, I went for the poppy concert and is a cool place to be!!!

Bryn Johnson

Beautiful old theatre, great sound, awesome sightlines throughout. Full service bar on two levels. Awesome place to see a show! Consistently great over all genres, from folk to hip hop to metal!

Nevena Grubac

Such a great place for music concerts. I was thrilled to see that there's room for dancing in front of the stage, but also lots of seats to take a rest if needed. What I didn't like is that only two people were manning the upstairs bar, so it took a while to get drinks, but once the concert started people went inside and it was easy to grab a bear. Cool place.

Beth Schofield

I love the Vogue for its feel. The atmosphere is way more relaxed and fun in comparison to other event locations. The architecture is awesome to look at and the security team is always pleasant. Some chairs could use fixing and it's a little overdue for an in-depth cleaning.

Clayton R

Awesome venue to see music! Always enjoy seeing shows here. The staff is always nice and helpful! The guys need a 2nd bathroom as well is the only thing!

Alys

Theatre with great views from the balcony. Good sound but must bring earplugs for the safety of your hearing. There aren’t enough washroom stalls for the capacity of the theatre, and I didn’t notice any wheelchair accessible seating or washrooms, then again I sat in the balcony and didn’t notice an elevator. the drinks are priced in a way to discourage drunkenness ????????‍♂️

Arash Salamati

Old school venue but the sound is prefect .. really good concerts have been through it. I recently saw ziggy marley and it was epic

Pip Holcombe

The decor is looking a little drab and the seats are so close together it's a snug fit but the atmosphere of this place quickly lets you forget the minor issues. I've seen quite a lot of shows here and will definitely be coming back.

Steve Bob

Such a beautiful theater. Watched Mark Knopfler perform last year and sat in the Dress Circle. Had a great view of the entire stage.

Mamie B

I attended the season premiere of Kim's Convenience, a CBC written produced sitcom. A beautiful venue, very cosy.

shaun mclellan

Seen Jinjer and Suicide Silence the other night. Show was amazing. The sound here is great. I was disappointed it got moved here from the Rickshaw. I'm glad I don't drink a lot anymore. It cost $28 including a 15% tip for 2 tallboys. Ridiculous. I don't know how these places get away with charging that much for beer. I do try to avoid the Vogue and the Orpheum if I can and prefer to support the smaller venues.

Trevor Forster

Nice place but it's small and too many seats where sold. So we almost got kicked out by security for not being able to find seats.

Sarra Lyford

Seats were close but comfy. Acoustics were good. The only thing was not enough bathrooms.

Julio Silva

As often, drink prices were really high (but the experience was good)!

Blue Morris

Great theatre. Good sightlines from every seat. I've seen some great bands play here over the years.

Kathleen Smurmermer

Love this venue, I have been to a few shows here. Nice establishment, and very clean. The staff are super friendly and informative. I am a short person so sitting up front wasn't ideal for me so if your a shorter person I would suggest getting seats in the balcony so you can see the show and not the back of someones head.

Octavio Rodriguez

Just recently attended a concert there. While waiting outside, it started to rain and very quickly the staff at the Vogue reacted. They handed out umbrellas! This small detail show they care...kudos! The venue itself was perfect for the type of artist performing there that night. For some, it was all about getting closer to the band. Others preferred to remain in the seating area, or balcony. Options for everyone. I enjoyed the experience and recommend others to come to the Vogue to see your favourite artist. Nothing beats seeing them live!

Alexei Trebounskikh

I liked this venue - the sound was decent, the view from the seats was fantastic. There was enough room despite the fact that there was a lot of people. Getting in and out was a breeze too. Didn't drink, so can't comment on that side.

Chelsey Bateson

Saw Peter Murphy in the 40 years of Bauhaus tour, which was my first time visiting the Vogue Theatre, and it was awesome. Staff at the coat check returned my jacket perfectly fine. The staff were pretty friendly compared to other places I've been, so that was a plus, and it was really nice inside.

Aiko Fusaki

I love coming to this venue for shows ♥️ Just sad when they don't have snacks or coat check for the shows I have attended ????

Maxwell Chan

great mid sized venue with second floor balcony. They close off the street in front during weekend nights so it's got a fun energy after the show

Tristen Hyde

Great venue. Chairs are a bit small in the leg room but it's still got the charm from yesteryear. We sat in the upper balcony and still had a great view and could hear everything.

Pam Kirby

Late to the comedy show but staff friendly none the less. Eager to help find our seat and guided us there. We were second balcony for a comedy show and still felt like we were up close and personal. I'd say a pretty good view and sound carried so I could hear. All and all a positive experience.

Jennifer Henczel

We love going to events at Vogue theatre. It has a warm community feel to it. There are great views from every seat in the house. The sound is great for speaking and music alike. It's conveniently located right in the middle of the city, with easy access via parking or transit.

Chris Hermansen

Second concert I've been to here. Basically a good venue sound-wise, decent acoustics. The seats are ok but some (like mine) are no longer vertical, so a bit hard on the back. Also there are a few rattly fixtures and a few burnt out lights. Needs a bit of love.

Mitchel Claypool

Went here to see Anthony Jeselnik the stand up comedian during the Just for laughs comedy festival. Location is great, view from balcony was decent biggest issue is how hot it was during the show I was in a T-shirt and it was uncomfortably warm. The seats are a little cramped and uncomfortable. Other then those few things if the act was worth it I would endure the above mentioned issues again.

Dave Dunbar

Lucky to see Tove Lo at the amazing Vogue Theatre in Vancouver in late February, 2020. Awesome show and awesome place.

samuel rodriguez

Great little place to catch a good show!! Seating is a little old but comfortable!

Luke Weng

Vogue theatre reminds me of the Rio theatre. This is my first time here and frankly, it's first impression isn't the best. There were lots of people lining up, and very rudely calling us out for just waiting for our friend to buy the tickets. We were being called "budgets" and nasty stuff. Then when we were inside, our balcony seats ended us on the ground floor, ALL the way in the corner in the back. We could see nothing at all. To make things worse, so many people were secretly filming and taking pictures even with the "NO FILMING/PIC TAKING" sign. The people on front of us were just recording the entire show! I was disgusted. The security did completely nothing. I wanted to record too, but I followed the rules. Why do they all get away with it? The vulgar talk in the show makes things more uncomfortable. There were 6 year olds in the crowd!! The speaker knew that too. I don't think I want to come back anytime soon.

Kel Green

The Vogue Theatre is a very well-run and very well-managed Heritage Theater. It's right on Granville Street and a good place to get in and out of the noise and the Mayhem from the streets. You'll love the manager, Heath. He's a real star. The security is amazing too. More like hosts augmenting the wonderful hosting staff that looks after your every need. Well done

Alexander Johnson

A Goldie oldie. Don't think there is a bad seat in the house. Can feel crowded but it's pretty quick to exit after a show. Have seen a few amazing comedians here and always enjoy the show.

Ray K

The Vogue Theatre is one of the greatest venues! I've seen so many of my favourite bands here :)

HF L

Had a great time at the Vogue... Hotel Mira and USS rocked it....crowd was vibin, good time had by all !!!

gavjazzman

Well run, clean and great staff for a semi-private invitation only event. Well done Vogue!

Jonathon Aiello

Classic theatre to catch a band. Saw Lagwagon there and it was a great show.

Ryan Gardner

Excellent cozy venue, awesome staff! Everything sounds amazing in here!

Tanya Mordkovich

Loved the show I watched but the theatre was not built for contemporary performances. It's narrow and it's hard to see from the top balcony. Good sound and lights but they also didn't have ushers which made the beginning annoying because nobody knew where their seats were. Would only go again if a performer I really loved came but would have to splurge to the pricier seats because I'd lose half the experience otherwise

Vikram Sian

Small Theatre, small lobby. Bar is right when you walk in so if it is lined upped you are cramped right away. There is not really a bad seat as far as sight lines go, but the seats are bad. Basically just folding metal chairs with a pad. There is no food, just snacks. Popcorn and chips is about it so make sure you eat before going to your show. It is a full bar with hard liquor, Beer and Wine. Pricing is typical, similar to stadium pricing. Sound quality was good, good hear everything. Was there for a live Podcast show, not a concert though so not sure how a band would sound.

Emily Stefanko

Wonderful old school theater. Comfy seats up top. Easy to get to on public transit. Nice staff. Good security.

Pamela Sterchi

Saw a show there last weekend, the doors were supposed to open at 6:30. However we didn't get let in until about 8:20 standing in the pouring rain. Also they have no signs directing people where to line up. So after waiting for over an hour we got told we were in the wrong line and had to move to the back of the other line. Luckily the show was good and made up for the lack of organization.

Mydhili Furtado

We love the Vogue for being a great small venue with all seats being great seats. Great place for a show like Boney M. Only issue is that they need the shows to go beyond 10pm curfew. We buy tickets to a show, with our hard earned money and if the artists want to go a bit longer, we as an audience, would appreciate it.

Bia

Amazing performance by King Princess, with incredible audio, acoustics and no haste to get in. Great place

Thomas Perry

Oversold show for The Zolas. With the mask mandate, can't remove mask and have a drink until seated, but wouldn't you know it? No seats for me and my wife to sit together. Poorly organized event, we left an hour and a half early. I've had good experiences there before and I get that they're trying to get back into it since covid, but this was just a bad experience for us.

Jan Ragnvaldsen

Great little venue. Pretty intimate and has great sight lines on the floor and from the balcony

Selena Vibrancy

went here for a concert on november 21 and was treated horrible by security. they were clearly on a power trip and shouldn’t have been allowed to work there.

Jamin Stallard

It's great for what it is. A smaller venue to see a concert. The sound for the headliner was better than expected. All things said, if another show I wanna see is here I'd go in a heartbeat

Jon Chan

Went for the Ziggy Marley show. Amazing venue and great sound! Security was a bit harsh on some youngsters though.

Sean Brown

This is a fun venue - very cool architecture inside... thanks for being a Jazz Fest venue!

Erika Schreiner

Great venue for intimate experiences with the artists your going to watch! All gender friendly and easy to navigate place !

Hudson Schneider

Great venue, very comfortable, great sound, very welcoming. Saw a range of artists here now and each one was amazing. Staff were always friendly, ample bathrooms, drinks were always easy to get, and anywhere you sit has a good view. Here's a recent pic of my most recent experience...

Meaghan Swetman

Love live music here! Great set up with standing and seating. Balcony seating as well for people wanting to stay out of the crowd! Great drinks, fantastic acoustics. Always a pleasure to see a concert here!

Joanna W

I've been to many K-pop concerts at the Vogue Theatre and it's the best! The venue is not too large so you get a much more intimate experience with the artist because even if you sit further back, they're still clearly visible!

Darrian Jenkins

Have had some of my best concert experiences here. quick, efficient staff. Cozy but can get a bit cramped after doors, before shows start if there are merch tables and coat check. Apparently its haunted which is cool. Sound is great and a good view from everywhere in the venue. About 1400 cap. so always an intimate show. One of my favourite venues. Also if you are the type to camp out hours before the show, there are many decent food options around and many places to charge devices lol.

Nicole Davidson

I attended the Vogue for the first time in December for "Potted Potter" (highly recommend for Potter fans). I initially had seats in the upper bowl, but when I leaned back in my seat before the show it snapped and the back fell off! The staff were so accommodating and moved my friend and I a few rows from the front of the stage! It was a fabulous experience besides my initial embarrassment, and cannot wait to go back!!

Josh Kidd

Concession ran out of snacks early on, but the concert was great!

Ali Mahad

This is an amazing venue with excellent acoustics and stage views. I was particularly impressed by the management (especially the security staff) and its regard for guests; they booted people who cut queues, and clearly assert a zero tolerance policy against harassment. My one suggestion would be for a clearer policy on the website regarding (sealed) water bottles.
