We walked in and I go to get my tickets and this bigger women is being really jurky towards me and my friends. After that we go to the arcade and this short gentlemen kicked my friend out for not having his mask on for a second because he was playing the basketball game and his mask slipped off when he shot then we go to the movie and the short gentlemen is waiting for us in the theater and then the manager comes and looked at us it made us very uncomfortable then we looked at her then she looked away and after that the short man tried to kick us out again this is a overpowering if I've ever seen one also this building is falling apart.

Usually a good selection of movies, but sometimes they don't bring highly anticipated productions. Very well kept, nice and attentive staff. The food is delicious!

Unspeakable horror. Ill elaborate, I used to only come to this business to sit and watch a movie while consuming an ever so godly (best in town) blue slushy... they have recently ceased to serve slushies. NO BLUE SLUSHIES ANYMORE. This inability to serve such a basic and obviously enjoyed (godly) treat and maintain that is purely disgusting service. How dare they.

Well, things are getting pretty bad when businesses go out of their way to stop you spending your money with them! I'm a regular patron of North Bay's only movie theatre, a Scene member, and like to purchase gift certificates for friends. Entered theatre little after 4 pm today, walked up to concession and asked if I could purchase gift certificates. Young woman looked at me like a deer caught in the headlights, scurried into a back room, then returned to tell me the theatre was actually closed -- doors were supposed to be locked. She could not sell me gift certificates. Returned to theatre at 8.40 pm -- there were still six features playing. Front doors locked -- while I rapped on the locked doors to get the attention of a concession worker, a young man exited the theatre, apparently having purchased items from the concession, including a large bag of popcorn and some drinks. Concession worker unlocked door and asked what I wanted. I said I had been trying to purchase gift certificates. He yelled to another young concession worker, asking if "the cash was closed". She confirmed that, indeed, "the cash was closed". Presumably, if any of the customers at the six features still playing had wanted to purchase anything from the concession, they would have also have been told that "the cash was closed." I told him that I guessed I would have to spend my gift dollars elsewhere. These young people are not responsible for there not being any system in place for customers wanting to make purchases during the normal business day. This is what happens to customer service when people try to operate a business on the cheap, creating checkerboard shifts for part-timers and not providing any training for them to accommodate legitimate requests of paying customers. No stars for this Galaxy Cinema performance. (I had to give it one star, or this app would not let me post my review!)

The place is always great for movies. I cant believe the prices on a popcorn and drink for my wife and I. I hate paying 50 bucks plus for a movie and popcorn. What tips me over, is the extra cost for butter at the front counter when there is free butter at a diffrent counter to the side. Great place but bad prices. Take care

The seats are comfy, the movie was at a really good volume, and as long as you have points on a Scene card the tickets are decently priced, but everything else is stupidly expensive, and the theatre we were in (#7) wasn't even cleaned in between viewings. There was so much garbage left in the aisles that we accidentally kicked garbage just getting to our seats! Gross!

The environment for movie watching here is great and a really good experience that will draw you in. However, the ticket kiosks rarely seem to function properly (an issue with Cineplex's support for the software and hardware platform IMO), and the seating areas which rarely look to be cleaned under; you will find dust covered valuables and food caked to the floors. It's not a bad place overall, though there are improvements that need to be made.

Movie prices are as expected, concession prices are high, but that is where they make money. I would not complain too much if I did not get stale pop corn 90% of the time.

It is actually kind of loud. I thought North Bay was being a bit old and crotchety. Nope. Qudos to the older Gentleman who managed to fall asleep during a musical on Christmas day. Your snoring definitely added some ripping undertones to the movie soundtrack.

This movie theater could use some love a little bit. Slightly more comfortable seats maybe a little bit of fine-tuning in the audio. It seems like the theater has been used and well-used. The audio in loud movie scenes sounds a little distorted. Also sometimes I go watching movies and I find that the audio is quite overbearing While others are very quiet. Kind of wondering what is going on. Other than that the food is normally pretty good though it is movie theater priced. And the overall viewing experience is quite okay

Nice place to watch movies obviously, but they have an arcade space. Which I believe they do like birthday parties rental for specific period of time in addition to the pay per use arcade style. Kids would love that

Once you make it through the lineup at the 3 machines which rarely all work and get your tickets (no points..the card reader also rarely works and the manual option's enter button also has issues) AND you get into the theatre, the sound level MIGHT be high enuf to hear. No worries..sooner or later someone will go find a human who cam fix it. Once they get to them ..long lineup at concessions where they are working. Yes it id all thid bad Most always.

50 percent capacity means to me I shouldn't be sitting near anyone. And this theatre is clearly ignoring that. I watched the new spiderman movie surrounded by other guests. Movie was excellent. Not sure when I will be going back to the movies if this is how Galaxy threats there customers

Galaxy Cinema in: North Bay, They never show Christian movies in this specific theater. A lot of Christians I know have to travel to Sudbury just to watch a Christian based film. It's discrimination and it's ridiculous. Once in a blue moon they will show one. They never even welcomed the mister Rogers film in their theaters, & Mr Rogers was a Christian. They never showed the film Unplanned, Break through and so many more Christian based films. There was no reason not to show these films considering they were very popular. Get it together North Bay and quit being a bigot.

waiting for the movie the advertisement sound level is super way to loud and then the movie sound is ok but any shooting like in the James bond movie darn near blew me out of the theater by this time my ESA SERVICE DOG had enough because before the movie or parts of the movie I was covering her ears and I wish we had not gone and only 1 other time I took my service dog was in owen sound and there was super loud and both times left just starting of the movie SO ARE MOVIE THEATERS TRYING TO MAKE PEOPLE GO DEAF I WILL NEVER GO TO ANOTHER MOVIE THEATER AGAIN I LIKE JAMES BOND WATCHING ON MY TV WITH SOUND VERY LOW OR MUTED WHEN ALOT OF SHOOTING TO HELP MY SERVICE DOG

Watched Blade Runner 2043 with friends this weekend. Not sure if it was the movie, or a cinema controlled problem, but the volume was too high. Both my wife and I found several scenes uncomfortably loud to the point of covering our ears. Usually I enjoy over-the-top theatre volume, but this was too much.

Always a joy to visit. Same layout as other galaxys with friendly staff and great atmosphere. Listed on the website and accepts all regular coupons. Love talking to the staff and before covid we arrived 10-15 late and always got let in with no issue.

This movie theatre is small and accommodating, the food is very good and not that expensive. It’s a very clean place and even though their are much games you can have a lot of fun. The bad thing is that because it’s the only movie theatre in northbay its usually very full, but it’s a great place if u just wanna have some relaxation.

You're just NOT listening to people! You have the volume TOO LOUD!!! The price of your tickets is the highest anywhere. And the price of the snacks is absolutely ridiculous. No wonder most guests sneak stuff in from Dollarama and Giant Tiger. The posters outside show what is "coming soon" rather than what is playing NOW! I am disabled and don't want to get out of my auto to go in to see what's playing. The games need to be changed. They've been there for years. Get a couple of pinball machines, please. Fix the lights on the tower. I like to see them all working. Not a huge issue but it tells me something about the theatre when simple things like the neon lights don't work. The staff is usually very friendly, but when I make a comment or suggestion to them, they look at me as if to say, "Duhhhh...what am I supposed to do? I only work here." One theatre should be dedicated to classic movies which the patrons choose. I'd go every night if they had that option. Or have all-nighters such as "The Godfather Saga". If I could play what movies I wanted on the screen, I'd have "Cool Hand Luke", "Rollerball"(1975 version), "Hard Times", "The Silence Of The Lambs", "Apocalypse Now", "Schindler's List", "Lorenzo's Oil" and other good movies 20+ years old. There's a lot of potential for Galaxy, but you're all missing the boat.

The theatre is nice but the arcade is run down now. Many games don't take coins or you lose them when you put them in the slot. Some are just broken.

The screens here is just way too dark, i have seen much better screens in my life and i notice it instantly. Movies look so dull and bad. I used to live in Dubai and the screens there were too good. These guys should change the bulbs inside the projectors when they are so old. Cineplex please fix this!

Wheelchair/Walker accessible doors and seating. Didn't see any handicapped washroom or stall. Although I was in a bit of a hurry to leave so I may have overlooked a separate washroom but there was no stall and had to leave my walker unattended. Glad I didn't have a wheelchair.

We came in tonight to see How To Train Your Dragon 3. We ordered grilled chicken sandwiches with no mayo if it came on it and the gentleman making our food accidentally put mayo on it. Management rectified the mistake with a free drink and 2 free movie tickets for us and they brought our correct order to us during the movie. It was all so appreciated. We love coming here and the experience we had tonight will keep us coming back again and again.

I've been to see 2-3 movies in the past 2 months and noticed that the volume for the previews and the movie in your theatre is WAY TO LOUD!!!!! I'd like to add that I have a hearing issue and can imagine how loud it must be for those who don't. I've also spoken to other friends that enjoy going to the movie theatre and they feel the same. Suggestion: You might like to start taking a survey to see what others think.

Very friendly staff... and you have wine! This was a surprise, as cinemas in Quebec are not licensed. Thoroughly enjoyed Toy Story 4. Was APPALLED that so many theatre goers left all their garbage for staff to pick up. Not something we see often in Quebec. We pick up after ourselves. Very poor example to set for your kids!

Great movie. But unless your an hour early You Will Not Get Snacks. I feel they were under prepared for a Sony movie staring a Marvel hero. But it's not a marvel studios movie cause we all know Sony made the mistake and only bought Spidermans rights back in the day. I did not get my snacks. Also miss the A&W in the mall used to sneak in burgers all the time

It's the only theater in town. The staff are friendly. The bathrooms are big BUT often dirty with a toilet plugged in one stall, someones urine all over the seat in another, toilet paper strewn across the floor in another. The concession area is dated and could be cleaner. Also every time I've been, 1/3 to 1/2 of the games in the arcade don't work. Sometimes the token machine takes the money without giving out any tokens. But when you eventually find a staff member, they refund your money with no questions asked. The manager is very personable as well.

Always out of dill seasoning packets :( gotta start bringing my own haha. Don't really like how they took away the 1000 points for a large drink and popcorn deal.. but I enjoy this cinema and recommend it. Staff are nice!

Was not impressed with the staff the cinema was a disaster, messy and plain gross. The tables are sticky and there is popcorn everywhere. And the staff was just standing there with their thumbs up their arse's. I will be traveling outside North Bay to watch a movie one where they actually care about the cleanliness of their establishment. Don't go here if your a germaphobe or don't like dirt. And under their curtains are filthy and looks like they have never cleaned under them. Windows are smudged and gross.

Start with the good: customer service is amazing and the whole place is super clean. They're genuinely good at what they do and the owner is an extremely nice guy. It's got that friendly north bay feel overall which is awesome. But that north bay feel has negatives too, with the theater falling behind over the past decade with little to no upgrades other than d box and 3D. As much as I love the theater ill say, from a technology standpoint, it's unfortunately the worst full-priced theater ive been to in years. Literally all they have to do is buy some routers for Timeplay and set up assigned seating on the website and it would be so much better Go to almost any other Cineplex and you'll get ALL reserved seating (not just d box), AVX, Timeplay, live sporting and gaming events, a bar, recliner seats, dippin dots, ....a DDR machine. Sometimes they just flat out won't get certain major movies (Disaster Artist, Scott Pilgrim, Avatar, etc) but for the most part it's alright I wanted to see star wars but the only way to know I'll get a good seat is wasting money on D Box or going insanely early. It's just super outdated and impractical. Hopefully they upgrade some stuff but it's been years and years with no changes. I guess, why put in the effort when there's no competition lol

Stay away from Grayson and Kiera at the food counter. They look very very disinterested. I wanted to redeem scene points worth $30 and Kiera said i could only redeem $5. This is nowhere mentioned on their website that i cannot redeem all my points.

Was clean when we went. Service was fast and friendly. Only complaint would be the arcade is in shambles. Literally. Half the games don't work and some look like they are falling apart. One that was running just completely shut down and rebooted itself while my son was playing.

Always clean, staff always has a smile can tell most of them probably enjoy the job. Guessing management is running the place well. Been going here since it opened. Had the power go out once was given free tickets on the way out. I've only seen the bathrooms messy a few times but probably due to the fact one movie ending can leave it messy let alone two ending. They just got DBOX and have always tried to stay ontop of the trends. The arcade is always clean and in way better condition then silver city in sudbury, and way cleaner.

We go there for the arcade mostly and consistently get ripped off. Either the games eat the coins and nothing registers or the stupid change machine rips you off. Either way, you get ripped off. The games are in disrepair constantly and it's a poorly run arcade and obviously by some of the comments a poorly run theater too. I guess that's what happens when you let fools run the place.

Even though it is the only theatre in town, they don't seem to let that get to their heads. They have great people working there, it is generally nice and clean, and the seating and the screens are great compared to some other places I have been. The downside is that they don't show much, the selection of movies is pretty awful. Cineplexes down South often have cool promotions and specials, like showing Studio Ghibli films over several months. This place doesn't do that sadly. Also, their food is horribly overpriced, but thankfully they are right next to a bunch of grocery stories, so just smuggle in your own food, haha! (I wish there were half stars, I would give this place a 3.5, but I can't, so I rounded down in this case.)

Movie we were there to see was sold out and didn't find out until we stood in line for 30 minutes to get our tickets. The manager I spoke to about having some kind of signage if a movie is sold out to let people know was clueless and really seemed to care less. We went back yesterday to see the movie which was great but the pop from the fountain was awful, completely watered down and soooo expensive! Ridiculous! Enjoyed the movie but not the theater. Next time I think I'll take my family to Sudbury Silver city cinema.

Tonight's experience is a 1. Currently sitting in theater 7 waiting to see incredibles 2. Literally sitting in garbage and the floors are covered in popcorn. We paid over $50 for the two of us to watch a movie in an uncleaned theatre.

It was nice to get back out and see a movie. Too bad some people do not think the rules apply to them. In this day of the "New Normal" with COVID shut downs threatening to cause many local businesses out of business due to financial burdens. So the theater has seat set up as two seats together then three seat 'social distance' then 2 seats , them 3 empty and so on through the row. Then the next row is empty for social distance then the next row used with 2 occ 3 empty ... So our kids are down getting their snacks when a family comes in and decide to sit wherever taking one of my kids seats and all seats through to the end of row. We asked them to move and they did by two seats and then their kids move to the next row in front of them. So the theater has spent time and finances to clean and sanitize the seats for us (everyone) and all tickets sold are assigned to seats. Now if this inconsiderate family happened to be sick or come in contact with someone they have put my family at risk. My kids seat is no longer "clean". The distance between my son and their closest member is less than 6ft. The people sitting in their proper seats two rows ahead are at risk because this families kids moved to the row that is supposed to be left empty. And the implications go further. What if the health unit came in for a spot check. You can bet the theater would be charged and shut down. How about everyone play by the rules . They are for all our protection regardless of how much we may agree with them. Note: if you don't believe in the vaccine then maybe you should read up on POLIO. Thanks for reading

We love taking the kids there its always an experience to go out to the movies, prices are a bit high but that's understandable its not them making the prices, always fast customer service and always greeted in a polite manner

The theatre is your basic c level theatre. Best night cheap night. But the selection of movies on a regular basis is very poor. Food very expensive, pop or soda extremely pricy, even mcdonalds sells l drinks for a buck all summer.

Theatre is great, the people are friendly and lines don't tend to get too long. Had some sound issues a couple times in theatre 5, but otherwise it's an awesome way to watch movies.

Concession line were way to long and way over priced, Thee arcade is poorly maintained. We lost about $10 worth of tokens in the machines. Couldn't find anyone to help us with getting them back but the movie was good

The theater we were in was in disrepair and felt very dirty. The trim was peeling away from the wall and there was very visible dirt, garbage and old candy behind the trim. It was disgusting. There were cobwebs all over the ceiling lights, and my chair had crumbs on it when I sat down. I felt dirty and uncomfortable the entire time. The only good thing about this trip was the movie Dune. It was fantastic.

I am so impressed with the owner/manager Terry! When a descriptive audio box would not work, I took it to Terry who tried very hard to get it to function for us. When he was unable to do so, he apologized and asked us to stop and see him at the end of the show. As we left, we were met by a lovely member of his staff who once again apologized and gave us tickets to see another movie for free and coupons for free popcorn! So happy to support a local venue that offers such amazing customer service!

Place was dirty and the arcade games are almost all out of order and they don't refund tokens that I couldn't use.

A normal cinema, but not much entertainment otherwise. No real area for games and arcades. The seats are comfortable but nothing special. Would love to see upgrade laid back seats like at Cinema's VIP lounge, but probably won't happen since North Bay does not have the demand for it.

Scanner isn't working at two of the terminals 29/07/2018. Be ready to have to manually key in you scene card. Or prefer the very right most of the three kiosks. You may also purchase tickets at the concession stand if it's not too busy.
