It's a close theatre to my place. Big space, number of restaurants nearby to the area (Kelsey's often has dinner + movie deals). Comfortable seating, and Cineplex never disappoints with service and quality.

I like this cinema. Great maintained, great vibes. The rooms are big, clean. There's plenty of room. I like the fact that many of the movies require seats which is nice. I don't need to wait like barbaric in a line and play catch if you can. Also many times when cinema are so crowded due to a new movie this one most of the time some free spot. So give a shoot.

Update: when the theatres say explicitly no eating and drinking, how do you enforce this? I was watching Spiderman No Way Home and the family of 4 sitting on Row G seats 13, 14, 15, 16 in Auditorium 2 on December 28 at 12PM were EATING chips and crunched really really loud at the most quietest scenes of the movie. My friend and I told them off and they continued to crunch on the chips quietly for the rest of the movie. When the show ended you can see that the kids brought BACKPACKS filled with food. If anyone was in this showtime monitor yourselves for symptoms!! Cineplex please enforce this!

Just your typical movie theatre. Cleanliness is up to standards and the staff are fine. Movie selection is decent. It's just straight up average. Parking is also a zoo here during peak hours.

It's time that Cineplex upgraded their cinemas to the degree that Imagine Theatres have done with full size, automated reclining lazyboy type leather seats. I find Cineplex VERY pricey for the experience. 3 tickets 2 snacks and a couple of drinks $71.00. Close to $25 each for average seating....excellent sound and good screen size.

ok well let me start by saying this place is a joke! I have attempted to see four different movies and EVERY time there is always these stupid SEAT HOLDER!!!!!! I mean at least 5 of them I get if your holding 1-2 seats but 5!!! is ridiculous the only this that's good about this place is that they will refund you your money. so if you want to feel like your in Kindergarten then this is the place to be they will give you a great lecture on how to be the greatest of all time seat holder!

Awesome theatre, one of the better ones uptown until the Markham one opened up. Was my goto theatre. Lots of cinemas and overload of parking spaces, there are additional parking spaces by the viva stops. Tons of mobile machines with nice stairwell up to the entrance. Big concession stand in the middle along with additional food at the back. Also a small arcade in the foyer. I believe there is also a party room for kids.

8Aug2021 Came here for a show at 12:30pm. It is like a ghost town. Maybe is too early? It is dead even at 3:00pm when we leave. You can select your own seat when you purchase your tickets online. After you select your seat(s)., All the seats around you become unavailable. This is a very nice feature for social distancing. They check your tickets when you enter the front entrance, if you haven't purchase your tickets yet, they will direct you to the counter. They have hand sanitizer dispenser but the one I try to use is empty. Overall I felt safe because is not crowded.

DBox seats for the right movie. DBox is active only when you pay for the seat so look for the lighted square for your seat. Row numbers and seat numbers were hard to find though so have an idea of where your seat is located before heading there.

The concession stand line was pretty short and we got our food quickly without much wait. The drink line was longer but we ended up in the movie theater with time to spare and great seats. Over all pretty good experience, I would have to say money well spent.

I come here all the time to see movies. You can use the self-serving kiosks to avoid waiting in line to buy tickets. Also, the seats are comfortable and spacious. It can be a bit annoying when cars are idling on the side though. Watch out for them - some drivers don't check their blindspot.

DBOX experience was good...picked center seat. Good that Cinemax is keeping movies separate from shopping....but that looks to be a problem as well. I came in at 3 PM to walk around before 4pm show....but there is nothing except some small games. Point is, there is nothing for me to come in early or stay behind....come on time watch movie and leave. I think something cane be done to keep your visitors for some more time...and they might watch another movie :)

This theatre is amazing. It has everything exept for imax and vip seating. The screens are large and overall a large theatre. They have dbox, avx 3d Dolby Atmos. I find that vip is a waste of money and there is no point of imax when there is avx Dolby atmos on a large screen. The food is expensive. Vip is mostly if you are hungry and want to watch a movie. Not many theatres provide Dolby Atmos. I recommend watching in avx 3d Dolby Atmos. You can also get dbox in the same format but you should only get it if you are using scene points. Dbox is not as great as it seems. I recommend trying dbox once using scene points. Other than that, watch everything in Dolby Atmos.

Enormous theatre with very good quality. Tickets are a little too expensive, about fifteen dollars, and the food is very overpriced too, but maybe the movies make up for it. It's good, but Imagine Cinemas has it better in my opinion.

Okay movie theatre. Nothing special. Yesterday the seats were the dirtiest I've ever witnessed at a theater. Popcorn and liquids on at least the first 10 seats we went to. Not to mention that when we visited there a couple months ago and went for the late night show and were locked out! We were running a bit late and the movie had just started like 5 minutes before. Once we arrived all the doors were locked. I was left outside with my girlfriend trying to get the attention of any of the workers inside. They just stood there. Talking. While we were outside missing our movie. Best of all once we got in, they took another extra 5 minutes because they needed their scanner to reboot. I had the tickets on my phone. They saw the tickets. You already made me have to wait. The least you could do is trust your patrons. Especially in a circumstance like that. Won't be going back, especially after the dirty theatre.

Classic movie theatre that's existed for many years. The best thing about this place is the space - the parking lot and inside the building are both huge. The building is aging, though, and you can tell by the facilities inside that there's been a lot of wear and tear. You can't really compare this movie theatre to the newer ones, like Markham VIP. The seats are a little squishy and the screen sizes seem to be a bit smaller than other theatres, too. With the COVID protocols, there are staff checking for vaccinations before you enter the premises.

It's a good place to watch a movie. They have food court and gaming place you can play with kids while waiting for the show. You can buy tickets online and pick up at kiosks machine avoiding waiting in line.

Hugh theatre at Richmond Hill! Lots of people during weekends, better buy tickets online to avoid the line up! I went there last week at Aud 1, the seat was very sticky seems like someone spill the soft drinks, lots of popcorn on floor! Don't know if there's any clean up in between movie!

I really enjoy watching movies here. I particularly like the how friendly the staff are. They are very honest and know how to explain the differences in film experiences in everyday language. However, I do wish that they cleaned the cinemas in between movies. I had a hard time finding a clean seat without debris. Recommendation: Do not get box seats. It's not worth the extra money. The seats in the theatre already recline. You are watching the same movie as everyone else. Your seats are just centrally located and better cushioned.

It's the Richmond Hill terminal with convenient connectivity of bus from all sides. Cinema experience is nice, watched avengers end game in 3D, sound and picture is nice, food varieties also available in reasonable price.

Went to the last Tuesday viewing of Ant Man and The Wasp. It was amazing. We, my brothers and I, were pretty early but it ended up being just us with like 6 others in the entire theatre. The seats were comfy as usual and the staff is veryy friendly. The movie was AWESOMEEEEEEE!!!

Great cinema, I really enjoyed the movie. They have adjusted well to post-pandemic life. Masks are mandatory in common areas, with the exception of while eating or drinking. When I went in over the past summer, there was social distancing in place, which felt terrific having a bubble around you during the opening night of a movie. Ultra AVX sounds and looks great as ever, and the popcorn while overpriced, is great.

Over priced movie tickets food and drinks plus its all computerized check in and you cant even refill you 7 dollar drink? Most video games were broke and the manager didnt seem to care and gives you a couple coins to get you away from tring to have a pleasant time.. im just gonna wait for the movie to come on video for now on or even buy a bootleg copy.. richmondhill theatre was the worst ive been to by far... DONT GO THERE IF U CAN HELP IT!!

This have been my go to cinema in the past 3 years. I'm giving it a 2 star as my last experience was very bad. because they sell tickets for an auditorium with broken heating. It was freezing cold inside, it was practically like sitting outside at 4 degrees. They simply apologized and said they would have given me a refund if I had complaint at the first 30 minutes of the movie! Why do you sell tickets when you know there's a problem? I'm so disappointed, won't be coming here for a foreseeable future

Went to a movie on Tuesday February 20th with a packed cinema. There was no audio for the previews so I got up and asked someone to fix it. After that, Timeplay couldn't handle the number of people in the theater so only 4-8 people were able to play instead of the 20 or 30 people frustratedly tapping at their phone and cursing the Wi-Fi and the Timeplay app. Attention to detail is important to keep customers coming back.

Great place to come and watch movies. Clean washrooms. Went on a sunday night and the place was empty, which was nice. There was no lines. Come on a Friday/Saturday night theres lots of lines so make sure to buy tickets ahead of time or give yourself extra time to get tickets and stand in line to get food and drinks. The price for food and drinks are expensive but that's the same throughout all silvercities

We went within the 1st week after it reopened during Covid 19. We were greeted by the staff who was courteous in explaining the rules. Only very limited sitting was allowed. Our experience was nothing extra ordinary but the place deserves the stars due to the efforts they have put out there.

Closest best movie theatre, but it can get quite busy and there always seems to be no parking at peak times. Service is great, but the food is very expensive, obviously, at a movie theatre. Theatres are pretty clean even from the animals (people) who go in there and just throw trash and popcorn everywhere. Feel kind of bad for the poor kids who have to clean that up. Tuesdays are half price, so thats pretty good. Bus station nearby, if you don't have a ride home.

Theatre property is packed with the local inhabitants. Condos abound. This Hwy 7 & Young St area is heavily populated, which means a jammed limited parking lot & theatre lobby. Very tight small parking lot which is not uncommon to watch people actually fight over spots. Extremely busy theatre, long line ups to buy tickets, lines for particular shows and the same for food. Recommend arriving early or find another less busy location. The staff do there best to manage the crowds.

It's old and seats aren't very comfortable. I tried a few seats and they are sort of broken where it doesn't really tilt backward. So you are pretty much sit straight up. One strip of the floor was gone so your feet was resting on a narrow strip of floor. I can't believe the management didn't notice. Overall poorly managed. I would have chosen any other Cineplex theatres over this one. Not like they charge less for the same movie.

I'm not sure who reads these or whether it's worth writing to you. I will endeavour to get some results here and will post on google as well. Am sure in this day and age negative electronic publicity is never a good thing. I came in to watch finding dory the Disney release on its first day. I brought my 4yr old with me and his excitement could hardly be contained. We bought tickets and concessions as usual. We went in and during the course of the movie, my sons drink was consumed. Concerned about leaving him by himself, I didn't want to leave. However he wanted a drink and asked me "please papa can I have another drink, I'll be good I promise". With that I figured if I rush out refill and come back all will be ok. I rushed out and ran to the refill station. Upon getting there a "manager" Fatima informed me that I could not do that as there is no refills. She stated I had to stand in line and buy another drink. It's not the point of purchasing a drink. It's the fact that I've left my 4 year old in the theatre alone. I would imagine explaining the situation the "manager", she would have provided a solution that would not entail me abandoning my 4 year old for a longer period of time. Be that as it may, I'm in the service industry and run retail stores which staff over 80+ employees and I would never stand for a customer being treated that way. Especially knowing that there was a 4year old alone in this day and age. Thank you silver city Richmond Hill, and really appreciate you ruining a Father's Day evening out with my son.

Went to watch a movie during the weekend . Thought Cineplex would have some precautionary measures implemented to protect the audiences. Surprisingly none!!! People were sitting anywhere they wanted even in the blocked zones. There were no social distancing (2m). Some people even didn’t wear masks at all. Ironically, during the pre show, there were a few videos reminding people to wear masks and stay distant from others. Plus, staffs there only checked tickets and did nothing else. Very disappointing!! Cineplex, if you want to contribute the 4th wave, keep doing what you are doing. I personally will not come to theaters again before the pandemic is gone.

Ordered tickets online and printed it ourselves. Plaza is busy, but people are always coming and going so it didn't take too long to find a parking spot. Provided tickets for entry and got in without problems.

Great theatre. I don't find it to be over crowded, unless a new big movie is coming out. Parking can get crowded, but I have never not found a spot. Montana's and Kelsey's are in the same plaza making dinner and a movie very convenient.

Great theatre. Lots of screens for a wide selection of films, the staff work pretty hard and are friendly. It is pretty busy on the weekends and the parking goes quickly but they are good at managing the people once inside. Never had an issue with film quality.

Excellent & modern theater, with the latest offerings, such as AVX & motion seats. Motion seats are worth a go once or twice, but more of a gimmick. Can safely pass on the extra without missing out. As with all theaters, the food is over priced, but typically good. Overall it's a rather clean theater, I've been to worse, you'll get the typical sticky floors, especial if you're at a late screening. There seats are very comfortable and recline, which is very relaxing.

This is the better option in Richmond Hill if you're looking for a movie night out. Pros: Multiple show times. Large auditoriums. Comfortable seating. Multiple restaurants in the immediate region. Cons: Due for a facelift. Hot food selection is poor and overpriced. Eat before or plan dinner locally after the show and you'll have a great time out.

One of the larger cinemas in Richmond Hill, it has everything you expect of a cinema: supersized drinks at astronomical prices, and movies. You get what you expect, and I've never had a bad experience so far.

On Thursday July 5th, I went to see the premier of Ant-Man and the Wasp in Ultra AVX and Dbox with six of my friends. We were crazy stoked to see the film, but unfortunately the sound cut out almost immediately. Many other movie-goers went to mention the audio issue to the staff and had asked to restart the film (though it was the beginning of the movie, quite a bit of plot was built in these silent moments). Instead of restarting the movie, they just continued it, even after they stated that they would. Though this was frustrating we decided to talk to Guest Services before we left to see what happened. Instead of issuing an apology they just gave us excuses and a phone number where we could lodge our complaints. I understand that issues do occur and have seen my fair share of them, but usually by way of an apology the cinema would issue a voucher to the audience or offer a refund. In this case the Guest Service staff stated that they would not be offering anything as it was not their fault. The lack of empathy from staff and incredible disregard for responsibility has me quite shocked. The people that they are ignoring are fans of a franchise that they have been patiently waiting for. That they counted down the days to buy tickets, PREMIUM tickets, I might add, in DBOX seats, who come in droves with their friends to watch and experience together. These are people that probably planned on coming back to watch the next films in the series, but I can safely say that I will definitely not be one of them. TL;DR The movie was great, or at least the parts that had sound. The Guest Service staff was not and I will not be back. Thanks!

I called after and they found it and they confirmed the Make, Brand, Color and shape of my sunglasses and then they told me that I can go and get it. I had a problem with my D-Box seat. During the movie it did not activate. When I spoke to someone at the desk they were very pleasant and accommodating. The manger was call and the issue delt with immediately. This was a very refreshing customer service experience.

I went here to see a movie that wasnt playing at either of the theatres that I frequent, this was the closest theater that was showing Gretel and Hansel. When I was there I saw an ad for a movie that i haven't seen at either of the theaters I go to, so I may go back. I had a great time! I really like the chairs. They're comfier than at the theater I go to every week. They also have self serve soda which is nice, and paper straws (#Savetheturtles). All in all, I had fun, but I'm not going to make it a habit because the uber from my house to the theatre there is pretty expensive, more than twice what I spend on an uber when i go to my usual theater. Also, I know all the people at my usual theatre. It's like seeing a bunch of friends every Tuesday. Dont get me wrong, the people here are really nice too. It's just, everybody at my main theater knows my name. It just feels more like home. Also, it was still a Silvercity, so I was able to use the gift card that I got for Christmas. That was nice. So, in conclusion, I wouldnt go every Tuesday, but I will be doing this again.

Good typical Cineplex theatre. We sat in the row behind the d-box (nice naming Cineplex...) and I kept seeing their heads move around in front of the screen because the d-box seats move and they are raised from the floor. So a note don't sit directly behind the d box.

Been coming here for movies for years. The quality seem to have been falling short recently. They limit non-3D show times to the minimum so it inconveniences you to pay the premium price for the 3D/UAVX. And if you do not pay for the premium the audio quality is literally worse than my laptop speakers. They're just loud, that's it - they sound terrible.

In one hand, the personnel is very kind and always have an smile in their face. That's very important to feel comfortable as a customer. On the other hand, I disliked about the prices of the popcorn, sweets and beverage are so high. Note for SilverCity: In conclusion, I think it could be a good idea to reduce a little bit these prices to increase the consumption of those products. I saw a lot of people inside the movies without any food and drinks and that happen because the prices.

Large cinemas and some spacious seats, good food options and a decently sized lobby. Unfortunately, there's quite some wait time for food, sometimes the staff mistake you for "dumping and refilling" your drink, and looking for the manager isn't going to happen for your complaints to be heard. Come prepared with pre-purchased tickets to make your visit run smoothly. Show up at least 30min beforehand to secure a good spot on Tuesdays and opening night/Friday shows.

Used to work here. The new coke machines are great, and refills are unmonitored. I refill 3 or 4 times. Sometimes I even bring a mug from home and just fill it. I brought my little cousins to see Zootopia but we ended up just filling a mini inflatable pool with a combination of over 100 coca cola beverages. All on refills. Very chill.

Good selection of 3D, UltraAVX, D-box, and seat selection available for the latest hits. Missing VIP and IMAX. I've experienced a couple technical issues, audio or visual on separate occasions. They occurred and were resolved during previews after a few minutes.

TERRIBLE SERVICE : HERE'S WHY so my boyfriend and i went to go and watch a 10:25 movie. we ended up getting there at 11 (i know real late but life happens) and it was closed. we were tapping at the window, waving our hands, my boyfriend was even showing that we had the tickets on his phone but NONE of the employees even glanced at us. some did, but I assume the manager told them to ignore us because they acted like we weren't there. usually this wouldn't upset me bc i am a retail worker, i know how it is to let people in when it's closed but they didn't even try to look at us, especially one of the managers, just extremely unprofessional in my opinion. also because their company claims to always try to meet customers standards, yet we were ignored until another employee tapped on the glass and i had to ask her to tell them that we have tickets. once we got in, the manager still wanted to blame it on us because we were "15 minutes late" when it really would've been less if they didn't ignore us. not to mention their food from outtakes is always TRASH. if you wanna go to a good cineplex go to colossus (vaughan), queensway (etobicoke), or empress walk. even the names of these theatres are better. only thing they got going for them is the coke machines.

Standard cinema set up as it's owned by one company. Maybe it's the time and the movie I chose to watch, line up before going into the auditorium and the staff scanning tickets was so unenthusiastic. Thus is what we get for allowing Cineplex Odeon to monoplize movie theaters in Canada. Minus 1 star for not listing the prices of the food on their billboards at the concession stands. Does Cineplex really think hiding prices won't make the customer realize that they're being ripped off? $20 for a combo? Minus 2 stars for installing smaller seats in the basic theaters that are so uncomfortable that you're forced to pay 30-50% more for AVX or D Box seats, a scam at a smaller scale like the airlines. Considering that Cineplex Odeon is categorically a monopoly in Canada, it's tantamount to a crime the tatics that they're employing to milk the public of as much cash as possible.

They never seem to be prepared for crowds on holidays. Empty cashes and lines out the door. Also they are not set up to take movie passes at the machine which is very annoying since the passes have a bar code. Worst of all they don't seem to appreciate loyal customers. I just got a refund for my concessions and left without seeing a movie that i drove 20 minutes for; it was that frustrating a customer service experience that I decided to speak with my wallet and just leave.

I really enjoy the UltraAVX theatres offered at this location. For a slightly higher price ($16.99 vs. $14.99 for general admission), the UltraAVX theatres offer a larger screen, better image and sound quality, and reserved seating. For those who don’t know, UltraAVX (i.e. Ultra Audio Video Experience) is comparable to IMAX, although IMAX has a larger screen and better resolution. I personally prefer the cinema size and seating offered by UltraAVX theatres. This is definitely not the best movie theatre I have been to, but it is always a good time. Bonus points because it has a great location. The main downfall is that the main lobby is a tad unorganized compared to other theatres I have been to.

Good cinema with tall back rocking chairs, big sound and curved screen on my visit in January 2019. Entrance lobby is huge, washroom wasn't dirty and the parking lot is big. The self service ticket machines work well and scanned my Scene card on my phone screen without a problem. Would watch a movie here anytime it was conveniently playing a movie I want to see.

This movie theater is well enough as it's pretty big in size (in terms of space and film screens) and also has a decent arcade. It can be difficult to find parking on the weekends as Silver City is the main theater in Richmond Hill for community members. Attendants didn't come to our aid until I was really frustrated with not being able to pick up my tickets through their mobile pick-up kiosk. One of us lined up to speak to an attendant over the counter when there were two attendants who were supposed to admit people into the theatre available to assist me when I tried both their kiosks across from the room. I walked right by them three times. Until my partner took my phone and tried then one of them helped him. Sure I may look upset but I wouldn't be as unhappy if they came to prevent me from trying to pick up tickets from a kiosk that was not in operation...Twice. Could have redirected me or even put up signs to specify even. Anything would have helped me from having the negative experience. Still will come back...

A month ago I watched “Yesterday” Saturday late show and all the previews and TimePlay was without sound. About 50 people just ignored it. But once the movie started I went outside to get help. There were three workers at the entry just chatting. They got the sound going. Last night, I was watching “Judy”. Only 6 people in the theatre. The lights stayed on during the movie. No one budged and I was thinking, come on the lights will go off. After 20 minutes, I went out to tell the 4 workers, chatting at the front, that the lights were still on. Ridiculous, no wonder attendance is down. Get on the ball.

Large cineplex location with loads of parking and super close to public transportation. Inside there is a regular concession stand in addition to an outtakes and a frozen yogurt place. There is also a mini arcade to play at if you’ve got some time before your movie. You can buy tickets from the kiosk or at the customer service desk. My only issue here is that they’ve blocked things off so you need to show your ticket to get in to the whole complex instead of the two sides of the theatre. This creates a long line up since they only have one person checking people in.

I had so much fun watching the movie. It was a new experience but there were some things that I didn't like. First of all, the seats at the theatre were garbage. The seats were so narrow that if a person was slightly overweight, they would not be able to sit on those seats. I dont know how to explain it but when I sat on my seat, the lower back of the seat went down and because of that I spilt my drink all over my jacket. The drink holder could not hold the drink so I had to watch out as to not drop it the whole time during the movie. Also, even though I arrived early I couldn't take the seat that I wanted. Other than that, it was really fun to watch the movie with all those other people. The staff there were very nice and they helped me when I got lost and didn't know what to do. The popcorn and the drink that I had were about reasonable prices and very delicious. I would love to go there again but only if those ridiculous seats get changed. I may sound like I am complaining a lot but its only because I have been to other movie theaters that are much better than this one.

I love this location for its convenience.. having both UltraAVX and iMax Digital + MY VERY Fav coke machines that allow you to mix your fav flavors. One thing they often miss though in quality is their popcorn (in particular dressings) i love those flavor powders and a lot of times they're out! Terrible performance by somebody in the chain of command not to replenish them quick enough. Washrooms are clean but it would have been better to have razor hand dryers or dyson as they're so much more sanitary and the ones they currently are using are pretty much air compressors which are nasty as they don't filter the dirty washroom air getting blown on your "clean" hands!

Last visited the IMAX and enjoyed the show. The theater has lots of parking and is kept clean and tidy. Pick whichever type of theater you want from normal to 3D AVX to IMAX and enjoy. We order our tickets on line through scene and get some points too. For IMAX we were able to reserve our seats.

I haven't been here in a few years and it is astonishing to see how many inexperienced staff with little or no social skills now work here. Restrooms were messy, no free refills at the concession stands and the popcorn was stale. Watched a Real 3D AVX screening and it was blurry. Overall a poor substitute for staying home and watching a movie on your 4K TV.

9/10 of my visits here are for popcorn only. $8 for a large is unreasonable but it's the only game in town for legitimate "movie theatre popcorn". Movies these days are not what they used to be despite the exponential growth of CGI. I recommend lowering the price of the popcorn.. This strategy may slow the death of cinemas. It's the popcorn that will lure customers. Not the movies. We can watch movies at home for basically free. On a couch. With appropriate volume. And our cell phones open. But not the popcorn. You still have that. UPDATE: because of covid, it looks like the popcorn is the ONLY thing keeping them in business. You're welcome!

Nice isolated movie theatre that isn't in a mall or other complex. Really stands out with its bright lights during nighttime. The inside is pretty cool with a circular food/popcorn station and coke remix machines are present on site. As for the auditoriums, they are clean and fairly spacious so no complaints there.

I have been going to this theater since 2000. It has pretty decent movie choices most of the time and seats are comfy and spacious. Once in a while parking gets a bit crowded during weekend afternoon but usually it is more than adequate during weekdays. I think is one of the best theater for movie goers with cars for its location and convenience.

Make sure that you have a credit card, or a SCENE cars that was used to purchase your movie tickets. Kiosks do not accept other options to print them. Incorrect set up of a 3D movie in the last visit, we had to walk out and ask crew to adjust it, which they promptly did, but shortly after rewound it to the beginning, for a "complete movie with a 3D experience". D-BOX chairs and its premium surcharge can be safely skipped, as they don't add too much for experience and would be more suitable with the gaming industry. Designers were smart to add three levels of the chair movement intensity and an option to turn it off completely.

Horrible. I have stopped watching cable TV because of commercials and after a while decided to go for the big screen. Arrived at the movie earlier and was reminded of the terrible drill of terrible drill of commercials. I am not aware who makes these decisions but after about half an hour of nonsense another set of commercials started bringing me close to think if leaving the theatre. The movie started almost half an our later than advertised and was beautiful. The green book was well made and worth the torture of previous commercials.

Good recommendation for the move. The sound was so loud when trying to hear the choices of drinks and popcorn it was awful when I asked for butter on the popcorn I was told that was extra cost! I said you didn't mention that and his reply was you didn't ask! Then I proceeded to the point where you get your ticket checked. The person was so busy talking to another employee that she told me the theater was down the hall on the right. Wrong it was down the hall on the left. I am not impressed with Silver City Theaters will take my business elsewhere in future.

Came here for premiere night of Ant-Man and The Wasp, the sound cutout at the beginning of the movie and so I left my seat to speak with someone about fixing this. They informed me they would restart the movie. I walked back into the theatre and sat in my seat expecting the movie to restart from the beginning, this time with audio. It did not. I felt completely out of the movie the rest of the time as I spent a fair chunk of the beginning of the film waiting for it to restart. I obviously had to give up hope after a while. After the film, I came out to speak with guest services, they informed me they would not be issuing any refunds or even a voucher as apparently it was a weather issue. Silver City Richmond Hill is obviously not housed with actual cinema lovers. If they were, they would understand that on premiere night of all nights, the crowd is made up of FANS who have been waiting MONTHS to see this film. Not being able to deliver a quality cinema experience is one thing, not being able to make things right is insulting.

Good movie selection. The dbox experience was nice, and added an extra dimension to the movie. I was once scammed here, and that was a shame. I was buying popcorn, and I was offered to upgrade to a combo, which also included a candy. What I didn't know is that it also included 3000 scene points. My total went from 12 dollars to 25. I only found out after I paid, and when I asked for a refund, they said that they couldn't remove the scene points, so I couldn't get a refund. That had been my only issue with the theatre.

Yesterday was a convergence of events that made the experience mixed at best: Parking lot was jam packed, but turnover wasn't to bad. Just had to wait a bit and a spot opened up. Concession payment was cash only as their card payment system was down. This made seriously long lines as people hunted for cash or change, and many people don't carry cash anymore. On one side, 1 of 3 drink machines were down, one hijacked by four under 12 kids who kept fooling around, eventually spilling an entire large cup of fruit juice on the ground right in front of the machine. Staff were stressed. Movie went off without a hitch.

We had a lovely time at the movies and were pleasantly surprised at the $5 tickets. The movie choices now are a nice mix of classic favorites and popular movies from earlier in the year. We felt confident as everything was sparkling clean and staff were super friendly. Theater was nicely spread out to give everyone plenty of space. We'll definitely be back soon

Okay theatre, although it was very difficult to find a seat even after coming 20 minutes early. Theatre is huge but almost always crowded. Tickets are more expensive than most places, and the refreshments don't have any refills. Washrooms were pretty dirty and the staff was okay. Overall place was clean and comfortable.

I was so excited to go back to the theatre after a long wait of this pandemic but I am so sad to share it was a TERRIBLE experience. First of all when you are purchasing the ticket, they tell you it will be monitored and physical distancing will be maintained. Let me tell you that is a BIG lie!!! 4 teenagers were sitting right behind us of course with their feet up on the seat!!! and when I asked someone to help me she said you have to go to the manager... Long story short He was no help and I was very uncomfortable the entire time watching the movie cause they had their mask off. I believe #YorkRegion #PublicHealth should monitor this theatre more often since they are not following any guideline!!!!! wish I could give you 0 star

It's movie theater - buy tickets, watch movie... great. What I don't get is why put self serve drink machines and tell people no refills!!! With the cost of tickets and incredibly high cost of the snack combos, you'd think refills would be included! Instead, they put up signs saying "No Refills" and have someone police the machines. I'd rather drive further north to Rainbow cinemas - less crowded, free refills on large drink and large popcorn - no questions.

It's a decent place, though the recent changes are a bit of a hinderence now. All of the digital kiosks where one would usually purchase tickets (rather than the front desk) have all been changed to pre-order ticket pick-up stations. (Though, to be fair, I haven't been to every SilverCity location so I don't know if this is a single occurence or a widespread one). The theatres themselves are all right, though some need a bit more cleaning (smells and the ever frequent sticky floor). Though, overall, it's not bad.

They make you sit and watch commercials (not movie trailers) for 20 minutes after the movie is supposed to start. Example: movie is supposed to start at 6, at 6:20 your movie starts. I didn't pay to watch commercials.

Employee was rude. I lined up to get snacks , and the clerk had a problem with her register and told me to go to the other side. When I went to the other side , rude employee or manager told me to go the other side . I explained that there was a problem and I was told to come to this side , instead of offering to help she talked back to me and told me that I was wrong and that she knew what was going on . Next time I want to go to a movie I will save my money and stay at home ! Also annoyed at people using their mobiles and talking during the movie . A waste of money.

Thia used to be such q nice theatre. Today I took both my kids to watch an animated movie, arrived at the theater 2 hours in advance, purchased tickets and waited for doors to open. 30 min before show start we went to the hall and it was full except 2 rows were fully blocked off in the middle. There were so many people who were aold tickets but there were no seats for them. Upon inquiring, a very arrogant employee said those rows are booked for a birthday party and they have paid extra, you can get a refund. I suggested that overselling the theatre is not right and he asked me to not be rude with him. At this time, there was another gentleman with the suit on and I presumed he was the manager and he approached me and asked what the issue was. His employee said this is a rude customer and without hearing my side of the story this rookie looking manager (I think his name tag said Collin M.) said he can not allow rude behavior against his staff. This happened in front of at least 3 other families and my own wife and children. I feel this is a terrible management of an establishment where patrons pay to relax and be treated respectfully. I am an average theatre customer but I think my opinion has now changed and I will want to watch movies at home from now on, where I have total control of 5he movie, dont end up paying a bunch of arrogant overrated people and above all don't feel disrespected. Avoid this theatre if you can...

This theatre is much better than others in York Region. They have at least updated their seats to the vinyl blue chairs that push back nicely and are much more sanitary than the cloth ones Newmarket and Aurora are still using. Theatre was clean. No complaints. It will be nice when York finally catches up with Durham and gets the new black recliners.

Asked for a refund for a movie half way through for simply terrible seating and being a terrible movie and completely wouldn't grant a refund! Had to argue 15 minutes and literally was so cheap that he couldn't give a refund. Shame on you... I've been going to Silvercity for a decade now and almost every SINGLE WEEK! This was one of the worst experiences in the theatres in my life. Geoffrey you really need to learn some customer relationship skills, maybe start back at McDonalds or something...

Went to see Rampage here during the ice storm with my kid. Short of getting stuck in the parking lot on the way out, we had a great time. There was a power glitch due to the storm and the sound cut out twice during a late scene in the movie. Once for about 10 seconds and the second time for under 5 seconds, both within the same minute. I felt it was worth a complaint at the end and explained my small frustration to the manager on duty at the time, Geoffrey. He explained (and reminded me) that the glitch was due to the weather outside and clearly an act of G-d. I felt slightly embarrassed that I didn't connect the sound failure to the weather and although I retracted my complaint due to my realization that it was clearly not the theater's fault, Geoffrey still went ahead and offered compensation. This guy is a gem and his staff are awesome too! This isn't our first rodeo here either. We've been seeing movies here forever with great experience. We even had our son's Lego Ninjago Movie birthday party here back in October and were super satisfied by how far the management and staff went to make sure we were well taken care of. Will keep going back because of Geoffrey and his crew!

Its good, prices are reasonable, however Ive been to a some other off brand theaters that were better (with recling seats). This one isnt bad though, you get enough leg room, movie quality is great, and easily visible. Movies start 15minutes late so you get enough time to find your seat.

Food service worker: terrible, the girl was rude... glaring at me (I noticed, family noticed) and then when we asked if she could layer the popcorn she responded.. “I guess.”.. then she charged us, gave us the drink cup, and I went to get the drink. My husband waited behind for the popcorn. He said that he didn’t think she layered it. I walked up and asked her if she layered it.. she responded, you didn’t ask for it to be layered.. to which I responded we did, to which she then responded back, “well I didn’t charge you.” And so, I showed her the recipe and her response was “oh.” Took the popcorn emptied it, layered it and handed It back to us. Not another word was exchanged and we went to watch our family movie.

Good theatre, but I'm leaving a mixed review so I can offer this warning: DO NOT GET THE HOT DOGS AT OUTTAKES. Boiled, maybe microwaved. Especially avoid the chili cheese dog; the chili is borderline soup and they use the nacho cheese that's normally offered with the theatre chips. It results in a sad, revolting mess that self-destructs the moment you pick it up. All 3 elements of a chili cheese dog completely sabotaged.

So disappointed at my last experience there. We had to watch "Angel has fallen" at Auditorium 13 Once we search the auditorium number to play on Timeplay the number wasnt there so we couldn't play. When the ads started we realized a huge white circle "like damage or crash" on a big screen. First we thought its part of the ads but the circle lasted until the end of movie!! We could have saved the money and watched the movie at home later... Please fix the display or at least don't play any movie that auditorium until the display is fixed. I will give 5 stars to staff/parking space/food but 2 stars for the screen quality!

Large theatre with a good selection of food options around it. This location shows all of the latest movies. The only issue that I have is the parking lot gets filled up really quickly and you have to sometimes park at another parking lot and walk/run over, so make sure you come early when going to this theatre!

In case something that you paid extra for doesn't function, they expect you to miss parts of the movie you're watching the first time, find a staff member and fix your problem causeed by their failure immediately. Otherwise they won't refund it even tho you never got the services you purchased... But!!! They will offer you a popcorn coupon. So you'll buy another movie tickets. Looks like the place is about to close soon anyway. Thank God landmark exists!!!

It was a great experience! We miss the cinemas a lot! We were so glad to be able to watch a movie in the cinema again after two years of the pandemic. The cinema here was clean and they followed the social distancing guidelines carefully. There were empty rows and seats to keep a good distance between each other. We were happy that they played Chinese movie here. We enjoyed the new Chinese movie “Raging Fire” very much.

Still the bang for buck movie theatre to be at in Richmond Hill. They upgraded their seats and they are the most comfortable seats I've ever sat in in a theatre. This place is my number one choice simply because they have the things that theatres usually have, and while their screens are not as large as some of the other big names, they are suitable enough to have a good experience and it's reflected in the price. There are many food options within the plaza and those seats that are the best I've ever used in a theatre.

Saw the first 30 minutes of Avengers Endgame. Then the screen went out and no one came into the theatre to explain what's up and the audio continued which kinds ruined it. Went to get a refund and they kicked all the ppl who wanted refunds aside to continue selling tickets at the only regiester they had open. Ur poor staffing is not my problem. Serve the customers in the order they come up to the counter, not what's convenient to you're poorly run business. They gave out free passes before giving refunds. Neglected to fill out locations or expiry dates on the passes so we'll see if they even work. I would've prefered a refund so I wouldn't have to return, but they took up enough of my time. ????

Great movie theater experience! Plenty of self serve ticket booths, 2 online purchased ticket printing stations. They have 2 avx theaters, 1 of which has the D box moving seats which while are very expensive ($23.00 as of writing this review) They make any action movie more enjoyable. Food selection isn't great, but good for a movie theater, prices are over all expensive, but not ridiculous. All things considered its a fun movie going experience.

Watched dune last night in Auditorium 2 in 3D. I had a regular seat (not DBOX) and it was dreadful. The seats were so low, my knees were so high (I’m 5’6) and you had to push so hard to lean back. Idk if all the auditoriums are like this but it’s dreadful how it’s set up. Everything else was fine but it ruined the movie experience. I had to put my feet against the the chair in front of me to recline comfortably instead of 90 degrees rigidly.

I paid expensive ticket for a movie tonight. went inside the auditorium behind me sat 6 girls in their teen age kept talking loudly,putting their feet with shoes on my chair back and my kids' chairs too. I excused them once and they did it again I Went and talked to the staff that I felt humiliated and insulted some one putting their shoes at my head. And they were very loud I couldn't enjoy the movie. I was disappointed that nothing happened from the staff. No one came and talked to those girls. I didn't enjoy the movie and will never go to that cinema again.

Parking is poor and the food concession is highly overpriced. Most times than not you have to find parking behind the movie theatre past the underpass in the parking lot adjacent to the police court room building. Once inside after your bike your greeted with a 10 dollar bag of popcorn and a 5 + dollar box of chocolates. What a nice well deserved treat. The seats however are decent and the theatre does have the moving chairs if you opt for that. This theatre does lack IMAX which is disappointing. Other than that arrive at least 30 min before to allot for parking time. Cheers.

Watch Captain Navel there in the regular screen theatre (5). I think the theatre seats are comfortable. With the seatings on a slope, the view is not going to be blocked by the person in front of you. However, I don't think it has the latest Dolby Atmos sound yet. And the projector gives a pretty dim picture. Dark scenes are....just dark. Too hard to make out all the shadow details. I have better looking pictures at home!

Today I went to cc of John Wick, the seats are sooooooo UNcomfortable, its leaning FORWARD in the normal state, you can lean back, but u have to try very hard to keep it that way if you are a normal figure person, now Im suffering from back pain...Next time I will just go to the Markham one, that one has better chairs.

Worst cinema I have ever been since year 2000. Back seats are all 90 degrees and you have to constantly push with your foot or elbow to find yourself and your head a comfortable position. My hands and feet were all soar last night after a 90 minute movie. Very little space behind back of the seat means you will be constantly hitting another person's knee. Absolutely no bench or seating area in the front hall for people who are waiting for someone. As soon as you get into the front, you have to buy a ticket to even step-in. How come they are still in business is beyond me. Cineplex should close this location and open up a public washroom and you will be thanked more by people.

Me and my gf were not comfortable at all for the whole 2 hours movie. Those seats only good for kids. We were always went to this cinema before, and never has this kind of seats. They have an area for arcade games. I guessed so you can spend more money while waiting for your show to start. You can buy your usual popcorn and pop in the center of the byilding. The seats in the theater are pretty comfortable. They can tilt back a little bit. Lots of parking available but it can get full when there's a popular movie showing.

The prices have gone up exponentially in the last 5-7 years. The quality if the cinema experience has not. Silvercity concession stand will cost you more than a ticket to a show. There is a direct correlation between a poor over priced theatre experince, and the amount of pirating that goes on.

Worst seats of any theater in the area, cramped and stiff. Better seating would be found on a 737 airplane. Consessions, though expected to a joke, took this to a whole new depth. Drink sizes are now half the size as any other place, at the same price point.

Unfortunately I had to rate 1 star, not even worth the 1...Went to see a show and was repulsed by the way these so called "managers" speak to their cast members. Absolutely disgusting and highly illegal!! So if you see a cast member who isn't in great spirits, it's most likely due to the verbal abuse they sadly endure when they think nobody can see or hear. I can only hope the Ministry of Labour has been contacted, they need to do a very thorough clean sweep in this hole. Shame on you Silver City for putting such a horrible person in a position of "General Manager". My heart goes out to the poor employee that had to endure this woman, I hope they can look past this horrendous place and find a future that never brings another "Fatima" into their life. Good luck Silver City, with that kind of management you're going to need it!! I will strongly recommend any other theater than this one to as many people as I can.

Parking can be tough specially on weekends or peak times. Food selection is very poor, and limited. There is never anything healthy or affordable at cinemas. Prices are also very high for specially if it's a 3d movie. I suggest buying tickets online to avoid lineups and going early.to get a proper seat.

The Richmond hill movie theatre, it's recently undergone theatre renovations. Those were a long time coming You may need to sell an arm or a leg to pay for a full evening out at the movies. Haha. Like I said, newly renovated seats. Woo hoo. They also have a little game place. Highlight- a kiss pinball machine

Great movie theatre. Staff is very friendly and theatres are kept clean. One caveat is to arrive 30-45 mins early in order to find parking, especially Friday and Saturday evenings.

Very good staff. Extremely efficient cashiers take care of cinema services and allow for easy movie experience. The lines were not too long on a Saturday night which meant that the staff was taking care of customers at a good pace. Good place to see a movie l.

If you're looking for a movie theatre with a lot of parking and a convenient location, this is it. Not sure what everyone else is talking about. Parking lot is never full (unless you come during the day time on a week. Like what did you expect?), staffs friendly, and they always check the seats to let me know if I should switch to a later show. Only downside is no vip. So sometimes you'll have to sit with kids and youths.

Theater 3 was warm.. informed usher and nothing was done.. air was so much cooler in the lobby. Will be awhile before u go back there.

I absolutely loved it! The guest service was great. It started off well at box office where the employees greeted me and my husband with a smile and knew everything about the movies I asked about! Then at concession, there were lines but an employee was directing us to shorter lines (shorter the better lmao)!! Then when I dropped my drink, I was going to throw it out and buy a new one... one of the managers Ken or Cam or something offered me a new cup for free; without me asking for it. I loved the movie we saw, and I loved the service! I love coming here hurray!
