I walked in and around the RBC Lakeside Drive-in at Ontario Place today and curious if any further events planned as far as a drive in after TIFF

Great location and friendly staff. Concession options are limited but not a big deal as you can bring your own snacks. See attached for the concession menu (may vary depending on the show - but for those who would like to get a general idea of price/options). This drive-in utilizes a projection screen so it’s not as bright as the drive-ins with LED screens. However, I was pleasantly surprised they turned off the lights in the area as the show started to help with visibility. A few cars left their head and tail lights on the entire movie which is annoying. One recommendation I’d have is for staff to remind folks over the sound system to ensure their lights (including brake lights) are off. Otherwise, a fun experience. Would recommend for something to do!

We had a very nice time. We could see the screen just fine. The staff were a bunch of lovely women. I'd go back no problem!

The experience is great if you have only two people but for families with 4 or more.. anyone sitting in the back cannot see the movie. The cars are socially distanced but you are not allowed to park backwards with the trunk open or even go outside. I paid for 5 people .... $79.10 including taxes and three of the five people in this car cannot enjoy the movie....and we have tried all available options. It's extremely frustrating to have spent such a large amount of money and be unable to see the screen or go outside to see it... We also came to the haunted movies where characters are supposed to scare you while you are in the car .... All they do is flash lights in your face and then run away... Maybe a little dance... Which is EXTREMELY distracting from the movie. I suggest to save your money... Go to the theatre.... Or stay in with a movie on the couch... I am very didsapointed.

This is a special venue for tiff 2020. Doors will open two hours prior to screening. All vehicles must be in their assigned parking spot 15 minutes prior to the screening start time. The drive-in is located at Ontario Place on the East Island. You can access the East Island via the following directions: Turn onto Ontario Place Boulevard off of Lakeshore Boulevard West. Continue along the road and you will reach the drive-in entrance at Remembrance Drive and Ontario Place Boulevard. Upon your arrival, you will be greeted by staff who will scan your ticket and direct you to your reserved parking spot.

Radio was good. More road signs leading up to the venue could have helped drivers at night.

This is the best drive in experience I've ever had. All the music on the radio is literally drive themed. Shut Up and Drive, Radio Ga Ga, Hitchin a Ride, etc. It's so amazing lol. Really professional. There are staff everywhere to answer any of your questions and guide you to your spot. Loved it. Will definitely be back again!

Nice location on waterfront ????

I honestly haven't been yet, but I am sure it's great. Just for those wondering however, having a vehicle (at least during COVID times) is absolutely necessary. We bought tickets online, but the day of the show, our driver/friend that owned the car, got food poisoning and therefore could no longer go. Tried to get a refund - turns out they don't do refunds (which is understandable). But alas with no car, you cannot get into the drive in unfortunately. Which seems obvious but I figured it didn't hurt to ask under the circumstances. So you know, try and make sure everyone's good before you go!

It was terrific having a downtown drive-in. Lines of sight were great, sound on my own FM radio was excellent. The food choices at the concession stand were limited but the Poutine was absolutely amazing both in taste and portion size.

Terrible experience. They say it is first come for choosing your spots and then when you get there they direct you to your spot even though there are better spots available and do not let you move. Watched the entire movie on a terrible angle despite showing up an hour before the show. Also I understand restrictions for Covid19 (I work in a hospital) but someone explain this logic: You cannot park your car backwards and watch through your open trunk because it’s not social distancing - how is this different from me having my window open, or how is this different from the CONVERTIBLE beside me. A convertible with its entire roof off is fine but if I have my trunk open - No No that’s not allowed. Was looking to show my girlfriend a great time after setting up our vehicle for an hour and had to watch from the uncomfortable front seats on an angle to the screen. Wish there was a 0/5 option.

Is this drive in going to be open over Christmas Holiday? It is a great experience and would be a perfect activity over Christmas when we are so limited in things to do as a family.

The pricing makes this inaccessible to people affected by job loss during the pandemic
