This is the worst theatre I have went in my whole life! This cashier named radeen (brown looking lady) didn't allow me to buy a ticket because of my race and told me I was a liar to society, but I all I did was asked for 2 adult movie tickets and she accused me of these actions. Also she took my scene card and kept it, telling me to not come back. I was stunned how this lady treat people because of their race, this is a free country if you don't like it then go back where you came from so you don't see other races.

I went there and it was nice. I mean the theatres were clean, people were wearing mask even inside while the movie was playing. The air-conditioning was not very cold. But given the less the number of people it was feeling ok. The good thing was that you cannot pause the movie and it was a nice feeling to sit and watch movie in a theatre. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend other to watch movie in theaters. It feels awesome.

Smaller theaters, lots of food choices in the mall as your close to the food court & there are many places outside the theater. Parking can be a hassle, but if you don't mind a small walk there is lots of spots on either side of the main mall entrance. I would not recommend watching a late night show if your relying on the TTC, they shut access to the mall after 10pm & you will have to walk to Don Mills for a bus or get a taxi service to pick you up, very inconvenient. Movies can sell out & it is limited cinemas as this is an older theater. Matinees are good for families & the mall is not bad. The fact that Sears closed down & some idiot planner put the TTC entrance there, means you have to walk around the outside of the mall to access one of 2 TTC entrances. No respect for pedestrians with this mall.

It was clean and we enjoyed the movie. One complaint as a disabled person...they did not open the doors when the movie ended. It is very frustrating as it feels those who are disabled are an after thought in any building. My opinion!

It’s a basic movie theater, nothing special. I generally don’t prefer movie theatres that are in malls. I like regular standalone movie theaters, but those things are often difficult to find. But since I live near Markham, try out the Markham VIP cinema theater. It has A wide variety of choices, such as VIP, IMAX, etc.

Nice theater, the quality of the product was nice and the seats and floors are kept clean. We were having an especially hot day when we went but their ac wasn't up to the challenge. It left the air I but gamey. So don't go here if your banking on cooking down on a hot day.

Long time on the line to buy ticket. Printer doesn't work. Cart reader doesn't work. Poor cashier girls reboot the stations or disconnect printers to make it work. That's why always a long line. It's happening for the whole summer. Not a very comfortable seats. If we have time, we prefer to drive somewhere else.

I went today on the first day that they opened back. Snack: 3/5 I ordered chilli beef poutine, they almost forgot and gave me regular, when I said it was beef chilli, she just scoop extra sauce on top. Barely any beef. Social distancing: 5/5 no one will sit beside you. Theatre: They are under the budget. They did not turn on AC. The whole room was soooo hot. Everyone was actually complaining. We were all like sweating while watching movie. Please take this into consideration its a hot summer

This is my go-to cinema experience in Markham. The facility is so nice, the staff is friendly (though it is a shame they got rid of almost all human presence as ticket sales in favour of the ticket machines). The VIP experience is also great. It is totally separate from kids, so I am not worried about children talking through movies. (Now, if I could just get my fellow millennials to get off their phones...) The in-seat service for food is fantastic, because it allows you to not abandon your friends or significant other in order to go and get food and drinks. They also show a wide variety of ads and previews, not JUST Cineplex stuff, which can get repetitive and boring if you see all of the blockbusters like I do. Great theatre!

I only go here if there isn't anything better, it's an annoying location because the mall closes way before the theatre so there's nothing to eat in the evening. It's not a great place unless you start your evening early and end at the movies.

Theatre itself is ok. Covers the basics. If you're interested in visiting the mall before or after your show this theatre is connected to the mall. Some time ago this used to be my preferred location but I've found it has gone downhill over the years. Personally I'm not fond of these mall locations as I've experienced more issues with other moviegoers at these types of locations. Issues include general bad movie etiquette such as the use of phones, talking or loud abnoxious behaviour during the movie, parents not supervising their children or seat desputes despite having purchased reserved seating.

I like the service here. Has an arcade on the main floor, limited selection of games. I like the fact it has a dots ice cream vending machine on the main floor easily accessible to those that don't want to go to a movie but still want to get the ice cream. Like the little bar for waiting for friends on the upper floor as well.

Cineplex is the best as always. They have high class theatres with best viewing experience. Watching 3D movies gives you a special feeling when it is combined with the high quality surrounding sound. Seats are pretty good. The main point to note is that we can use SCENE Points for watching movies and buying snacks.

Comfortable theater for its size. Smaller than the average theater size and fills up quickly. Some staff won't let you in until last minute which is kinda dumb. Good for walking around before or after the movie as it is inside the mall. Fairview used to be a pretty good mall but seems like it dropped the ball over the years looking kinda run down now

It's quite a good place to watch some movies with friends and buy some food in Shoppers before driving home. If you also wanna go shopping in SportChek in the meantime, you won't regret for choosing this place. Plus, this place is gonna open a new Tim Hortons so you would never miss a coffee time!

Would give a zero if there was that option , management - Nevil and front staff Marylind gave an immense amount of trouble for brining A Tim Hortons coffee into the theatres when it was allowed on several encounters before including just last week. A couple with Tim hortons cups and outside food was just let in before us , they were not required to dump their beverage , yet we were required to dump our beverages before entering. We asked to speak with the manager in person however he did not meet us and avoided us . Appalled by the lack of customer service and blatant favouritism . Lack of professionalism and commitment to providing great customer service . Will not be coming here in the future. People with lack of leadership should not be in management positions . Movie theater didn't start on time when I first visited this location. Second time, couple of drunk People ruining the movie for everyone. One of the Asian manager didn't seem to really care even though the whole theatre complained. Other managers were able Wouldn't come here if not it's right beside my house. Not impressed.

We were in the middle of watching Little Women and a loud audible fire alarm started sounding half way though the movie. No one came in to say anything but the alarm was loud enough that it interfered with the movie. We left the theater and no one was saying anything to us. I asked to speak to a manager. As I was inquiring i was directed to the manager Mr James C. I explained the interruption of the movie with the alarm. Mr C kept explaining about the alarm and why no one came in to explain etc etc. That wasnt what I was asking him but seeking a credit for the movie. At the end I asked if he was going to compensate with the interruption . He replied no..I shook my head and walked away in disgust.

Awesome place. Relatively new and comfortable seats. Not that many people usually. They have the arcade area to entertain yourself while you wait, which is awesome. Some of their games that looked really fun was out of service though. I mean, not the best for a cineplex in a mall! Otherwise I would have assigned a 5 star.

I like the features added to movie experience. AVX, 3D, IMAX, etc. I don't like the high prices for snacks. The best is the Tuesdays half price and collect points with Scene Card. I miss the interaction with the people at the moment to buy tickets, they used to suggest options to take advantage of the sales and offers.

Went to saw Bond movie last night show. Clean, sanitized theatre and very polite staff. However please increase security. Before movie 7 teens got in, throwing water bottles at each other, jumping from seat to seat, using abusive languages, running around. They didn't come to see the film as they left soon. How and why did they enter theatre. Surely the person in projector room was aware but no sadly no action. People were tensed, were looking around but no employee or security came. Initially spoiled the happiness of watching the film. Should we go for day shows only? Will surely think again before going to see the night shows. Is it possible for one employee or security to be in the theatre.

Good luck finding this theatre when you are in a rush - the theatre is not only difficult to find, but difficult to leave after the movie. Go here quite often. Not as big as other Cineplexs but that's not necessarily a negative. I've found that the moviegoers here tend to be more respectful with less talking during the movie than say at Scarborough Town Centre. Maybe I've been lucky. In a large mall so you have plenty of options for shopping and eating before/after.

Overall, this theatre has a nice atmosphere, it is family friendly and the staff are really kind. I always have a good experience when I come to this location. Love the energy and the staff there. PSA: for the guests complaining about not being able to bring in outside food, theatres in terms of its rules regarding outside food is the same as any other restaurant, it would be the same as bringing in outside beverages (e.g Tim Hortons coffee) to a restaurant which is unacceptable. So please keep this in mind when going to theatres. If you want to eat outside food when watching a movie, stay home, the theatres is not a place for you.

Access to the Public transit while indoors is very confusing at this mall, if it's your first time, between this and the parking and access to this theatre from the parking lot in the immediate area being also weird and limited. Makes this theatre not as openly accessible as most of the others I've been to. But the theatre is clean and they generally wait for everyone to leave the the Auditorium before going in to clean after a movie.

Always clean, great service, great food. However, get there 10 minutes early so you can buy your food. Also, close parking is limited. You can park at a mall entrance and go to the theater from the inside.

The movie theatre itself is great, friendly customer service and comfortable seating especially since we went in for a DBOX experience. However, customer service and food options were not great. Firstly, Yoyo did not have much topping options for their frozen yogurt. Secondly, the customer service at Outtakes was poor; they took forever to take our order and when that was taken, one of the guys were just waiting and watching the other person, and so we continued to wait only to see him move in a few minutes to put the frozen chicken bites in the fryer. It took much longer than we had expected it to, and we were a couple minutes late for the movie. On another note, the washroom is unbelievably clean and beautiful with TV screens inside.

Everything is more expensive compared to imagine Cinema. Ticket prices and food in particular. Also seating is less comfortable compared to Imagine cinema. And although it's been some time since i was last there, there hardly anyone goes there. At least for the movie I was watching anyway.

I had a really bad experience today. I forgot my bags in the movie theatre. I came back in 15 mins, hope that my stuff is still safe. I tried to call them several time but no one answer. It’s end up when I arrived is they through it out. The staff said because I thought it was garbage. They are care less about people stuff left over there. They are not even open the bag to check what is in the bag. I came to see manager and the only thing they can help me is I have to come to there garbage and searching in 16 or more of garbage bags if I want to see my stuff again. Wow, I’m impressed. So disappointed. Thanks and never come back. Saying bye to my new toys that I have ever touch yet. I have ever wrote a bad review before but I’m so sad and disappointed today.

One of the newer SilverCity cinemas in Toronto. The seats are comfortable and the screens are larger. It's also nice that the cinema is in Fairview Mall so if you want to grab a bite to eat, it's easy to head over to the food court and get better food.

If you have Costco tickets, you have to get your movie tickets at an icecream shop, before you go to concessions. this is not marked anywhere. Building is in poor condition, not very clean. There are broken seats in the theater.

I usually do VIP with my wife but due to current seating standards we tried Cineplex Fairview as our first movie on return from the pandemic. All was fine and ill go back soon for that matter. We were in cinema 5. The chairs are ok as the recline but are uncomfortable somewhat. They sit low so I am glad there wasn't anyone in front of my wife and I. The price and experience provided good value.

Overall a good cinema, the only drawback is depending on what movie you choose to see (Blockers on April 14) you may have teenage girls blabbing behind you yelling "Yes, Queen!" and kicking your chair when they see actors such as Leslie Mann... Definitely going to choose the top row or a different show time for when these kids are in school.

Great theater location. Just by the 401 and 404 and inside Fairview mall. The mall has quite a few places to grab a bite before catching a movie like Heart Sushi which replaced Spring Rolls and they also have a Moxies to name a couple of the nice sit down places. They've got other fast food type of spots like Zteca for Mexican faire if you're in the mood for a quick on the go bite before your movie starts. Overall the theater offers basic and 3d movies, nothing like the VIP cinemas. The auditoriums screens are basically wall to wall with great sound. Haven't had a poor or uncleanly experience as of yet.

I've stopped coming to the Fairview Cineplex location in favour of the Empress Walk location because the Fairview location has a persistent pest problem (I've had mice crawl on my foot and on my leg while watching a movie in the back row of Theater 6) and usually the theater isn't very clean. When I raised these issues with staff I was told they are very aware of the pest problem and that there's nothing they can do. Staff, including the evening manager, were dismissive of my feedback about washroom, floor and seating cleanliness. Lots of gum and unpleasant stickies and odors are frequently found here.

One of the worst cineplex theatres. The auditoriums are small in general, the seats are old, they recline yes but creaks each time you move. Creaking can be heard even through all the loud sounds and action scenes. We watched Captain America: civil war and if not for being a fan and paid for cheaper tuesday price, I would have walked out. And yea, for a smaller theatre I'm amazed how stuffy and dusty it can feel. Recommend choosing another new theatre for a better experience

I don't usually write reviews regarding complaints but my last 2 experiences at this theatre have been awful and I spend a lot of money at Cineplex Fairview, we come atleast twice a week! Last week my husband and I went to see Snatched and upon leaving noticed the sliding security gate to exit the theatre was locked and we were unable to leave. Two separate employees attempted to unlock the gate but couldn't then after waiting approximately 20 minutes later a woman came down scowling like we interrupted her night and unlocked the gate. Tonight I came to watch Pirates of the Caribbean 10:55pm show to find the doors to access the theater locked upon my arrival at 10:45pm. After attempting several times to get security or Cineplex staffs attention, security finally came and let us in around 11:15pm. Hoping we didn't miss too much with previews playing first we attempted to purchase tickets only to be told it was too late. We explained what had happened to the employee and if we could receive a movie pass for our trouble. She then became argumentative and rude stating it wasn't her problem and too bad, we weren't getting anything! So we asked for the manager to which she replied " I am the manager!" This happens to be the same woman we encountered the week before! Wow!!! If that's how Cineplex trains their managers to interact with customers then it's no wonder why more and more people chose to stay home and watch a pirated copy from the internet!

Pretty good theater here, not the biggest selection of movies since it's not huge but it usually has all the bigger new things. The AVX seating is comfortable and the screens are pretty big, but no IMAX or VIP seating here, so it doesnt really compare to the nicer places. As usual, concessions and food is overpriced, it'll cost you more than a movie ticket to get popcorn and a drink.

I spend over 150$ for a family of 5. 100$ just on tickets. It's rediculous. This is probably the reason why most just stay home and watch movies online. I think if they want more customers they would lower their prices. It would def make me want to go there with my family more often.

I'm not sure what to say! It's your average cineplex. All the new movies are here, the theaters are decent and good is expensive, like any theater. There aren't any registers anymore it's all operating with self serve other that the food part. But the self serve machines are super simple to use so that isn't a problem.

Disclaimer: This is my unique experience and may not reflect your own. Unfortunately every time I've ever watched a movie at this Fairview location it's been a bad experience. I then avoid the location often for years only to give it another chance and have yet another bad experience. Here is the timeline: 2010: Nightmare on Elm Street (1st time) - Noticeably distorted (tinny) audio, too quiet and very slightly out-of-sync with video. Complained to workers. Audio volume was increased but noticeable distortion remained. Walked out and asked for refund. Elm Street (2nd time) - Theatre began playing Furry Vengeance by mistake for the first 5 minutes before someone complained 2012: Dark Knight Rises - Broken A/C in the middle of hot summer 2021: Candyman - Broken A/C in the middle of hot summer Again, this is my unique experience but every single experience over the years has just been consistently negative. Maybe it's all coincidental bad timing, but I've never had this experience at other locations.

A manager wished us a good night on our way out which was thoughtful and exceeded my expectations for a mall theatre. The cinema itself is clean as well as the washroom, except for the Yorkdale Cineplex Cinema which is notorious for for being untidy and smelly maybe due to the high volume of users or the lack of cleaners.

I hate giving this place 3 starts but the seats are honestly so uncomfortable. They lean back sooo far so you have no choice to sit that way or use your legs to hold up your back the entire time. I really wish they would come up at a regular seated position. Ontop of that nobody has any leg room as the chairs invade your space if someone is sitting in front of you. I'm 5'4 and I was uncomfortable the entire time :( The good - the place is super clean and organized very nicely! It's located in the mall and has subway access. I would go back if they fixed the chairs.

This whole cinema needs a renovation--some of the seats in various theaters are broken, covered, or lumpy. Disability seating is way too close to the screen to enjoy "the show." Not enough seating, as the current location is under utilized. A current gaming section has taken over the former bar and seating area, in my opinion is wasted space (if pple want to game, they'll play for free on their devices). Movies are current; would like to see more historical, opera, or plays on the screen (next to its neighbour Fairview Mall which does this on a regular basis and draws crowds). The restrooms need a major air-freshening, deep cleaning, and isn't conducive to traffic flow.

Honestly, there is nothing wrong with this cinema. It is a vast upgrade from what it used to be. The AVX here is Dolby Atmos and the seats are better than those at Scarborough Town. They have the regular concession foods, plus some premium foods like gourmet hotdogs, poutine, and chicken nuggets. The arcade is pretty good, and their box office is fast. They also have a frozen yogurt parlour on the main floor which helps them stand out. The only reason I haven't given 5 stars is that I've been to the Cineplex in Oshawa, and that place is a 6 star cinema. But since I can't give 6 stars, here we are. Thnaks for a great show Fairview!

If you are only here for the Movie then it's fine, but when going for concession items is a nightmare. They only had 3 people on the register then one of them just suddenly left because she is on "break" walks around and doesn't look for someone who can replace her. They had 30 people waiting in line and had to wait at least 10 minutes. They don't have enough people to keep the flow of traffic going. I used to work at the theater but we always have enough staff to cover breaks and we just don't walk out our register to go on break we actually finish the whole line before going on break. Frustrating.

The seats in this theatre were really comfortable, the back reclines and the arm rest can be raised. The theatre is well maintained, you grab tickets on the bottom floor and the theatres are located upstair. Being in a mall this place is super hectic, especially around the evening viewing times. I don't know what is going on with Cineplex and their cashiers, but it seems they are trying to move more towards self serve, which means there is a limited number of staff available to help you with questions you might have, or technical issues. They have a "serve yourself" frozen yogurt station very similar to Menchies (pay by weight) but when I made mine, there was no staff in site to pay. I waited around a good 10 minutes to get a staff member to finally ring me up.

Terrible location, almost impossible to find and utterly dirty! It's inside the mall but the entrance isn't visible until you are right in front of it. From the passage, all you can see is the Shoppers Drug Mart! Onece you have found it, it's a flight of stairs above. The seats are dirty, the floor inside the hall are dirty and sticky from all of the food and drinks being dropped. I guess they just pick up the rubbish but surely never wipe anything. I won't go there again for sure.

Pretty painless process to show vaccination, get tickets scanned and then go to assigned seats. Really smooth process for everything. Enjoyable experience.

While first in line, was told box office open to buy tickets but turned back to Poptopia to get ticket and then back in line. Of course, system down so waited another 10 minutes for manager to come down and fix it. Then Timeplay was overlapped by trailers when lights went down so had answer selections but no question as referred to the"big screen" where only trailers were showing. Same manager apologized and gave me a phone number to contact re: Timeplay. Considering all the issues above and the managerial status, I think she should have had the authority to deal better with customers.

Theatre staff allowed a infant to be brought in to the theatre. Also the caregivers of same could not stay off of their phones for the first 30 minutes of the movie. Ie , sending or receiving text or e-mails. The only good thing about the above was that the child was mostly quiet through the picture. The parent/guardian of this infant could be heard shushing the above.

Terrible. Hardly any staff. People replaced ticket machines that are not user friendly. No help available. No mgmnt taking care of disruptive patrons. The staff that is there have bad attitudes and are slow as molasses. I live across the street but I've visited there for the last time.

No air conditioning. No front cashiers to sell tickets, automated machines only. 2 of the 5 machines I tried didn't work. The one that did work had a wonky touchscreen and it gave me twice as many tickets as I wanted. Timeplay WiFi didn't work. I came early to play Timeplay. Nobody in the theater couldmplay_ waste of time. So hot inside, was sweating through the whole movie. 1st time here ... and the last. I was in big bad theatre 1 too. Worst cineplex spot in the city. Peace out.

Very clean theatre, helpful staff. Always have current movies playing. Saw the Incredibles 2 with my kids. Theatre was less than 1/2 full. Great viewing experience. The only negative is the snack bar. Prices are outrageous. Maybe it would help bring people back to the family movie experience if pricing was just a bit more reasonable. $25 for 3 pop and nachos is a bit much

Yesterday's experience was below excellent but it usually is. At least one of the self ticketing machines was malfunctioning but that's not why it was below excellent. One of the agents at the entrance to the theatres was busy chatting with another. She did not greet us or tell us where our theatre was as I have become accustomed to at Fairview Cineplex. She just took our tickets and tore it with no acknowledgement that the entrants existed. This I thought was highly unprofessional but my previous experiences saved my rating here.

I went the other day with a group of 3 other people, and it was one of the worst movie going experiences I've ever had. To start, we arrived at the mall over 30 minutes before our show time but only got to the theatre about 5 minutes before show time after dealing with an insane parking lot, and a very confusing mall map that made it seem like the entrance to the theatre is on the outside rather than inside. Once inside and with our tickets I decided to get something to eat from the outtakes counter where I could see 1 employee plus a manager working. My wife and I stood at the counter for a few minutes (making us now late for our movie) before finally I asked "Excuse me, can I order something please" and was told I needed to order from the main counter instead. I complained that there was no sign saying that, and that it would have been nice for someone to have told me that before I was left waiting. But I order at the other counter and after another 5 minutes wait I am finally able to get my food, and enter my theatre, now roughly 10 minutes after show time. We were watching fantastic beasts and things were going great for the first hour or so until I saw a girl run to the front of the theatre, open the fire exit and let another girl in. The 2 then ran to be back of the theatre giggling, where I didn't see them for 10 or so minutes until now 3 girls ran down the stairs, in front of the screen, and then out. 10 or so minutes later 4 girls ran giggling into the theatre and up to the back. This in and out continued with the 4 of them a few more times. And in the couple behind us talking most of the movie and the overall experience was definitely something lacking of my expectations. I understand that not all of this was within the theatres power to control, but all together it was too much for me and I will not be returning to this theatre in the future.

It is always convenient to watch the movies as we buy our tickets online and not needing to print them. We watched Aquaman and Bumblebee, both movies are good but i love the Aquaman. Truly enjoyed it. The Fairviemall Cineplex's washrooms are clean, the staff are nice. the location is superb! Is closed to Sportchek, Shoppers Drug, Tim Horton's, Real Fruit, and the newly opened Pablo's.

The food menu is much better, however I still look forward to having pizza pizza, I don't know why and it used to be on their menu but now it's gone. Everytime I go here the previews / commercials are insanely loud! If you tell the staff they do not care. They just tell you there is nothing they can do to adjust the volume. I find that hard to believe. Popcorn is super stale aswell.
