This Movie Theater corresponds to the category of Movie theater.
Good place to see a movie if you’re not up for the big lines and the crowd.
Doesn't have a lot of options if you actually want food but is always moderately bust and extremely clean. It's also always nice after a walk down on the beach to sit in a nice air conditioned theater with friends
I love this place! Small theatre with great picture quality and sound. They rent out the party room for kids parties at a VERY reasonable rate - and help you every step of the way. The staff here is amazing, friendly, and gives all the amenities of the bigger theatres (arcade, party room, Starbucks etc) with less of the wait and the charm of a smaller theatre. We would go to this theatre even if it weren't within walking distance of our home.
Avoid the food counter. $36 for 2 popcorns and 2 soft drinks. Far too many ads and trailers before the feature film.
I work here, so I might be a bit biased! Nice, calm movie theatre that isn't packed to the brim constantly. Staff are friendly and helpful, and the popcorn is great!!
Films are too slow to rotate which is only a problem for us locals. Nice to have a good size cinema around the corner
Great place to watch not busy but screens are smaller than the typical cineplex screens
Great small theater on the beaches. Very friendly staff and the ???? was warm and fresh. They also serve beer and wine. It's not an overly crowded cinema, the seats are comfortable and on Tuesdays the tickets are discounted. Some of the …
Neighbourhood theatre which shows first run movies. Small popcorn ???? with butter and ice tea plus ticket came to $23. I was surprised. Might not have food. Theatre was clean and following protocols.
No free parking! Fairly strange for the east end. Small theatre but good viewing experience.
Good size theatres, very nice concession and great 1st run movies. Rarely any line ups and usually easy getting a good seat with 2, 3, or 4 friends together. One of my favourite theatres for 1st run movies.
Went on a Friday night and it was busy so go early if you want a good seat. Didn't buy anything from the concession stand so I can't review that experience. The seating was a bit tight, but overall felt like most other theatres.
Great cineplex with very little people, nice surrounding area, free parking, comfortable seats, single playing time of films, and friendly staff.
Decent cinema, but is not affiliated with cineplex in any way. No scene points and you can't use cineplex gift cards either.
High quality seats, good projection and good sound. Very close to a busy street car line and sufficient parking.
Really nice smaller theater. Does well for the size. Prices are a little expensive, but it's a theater, I think that's a given. Customer service and workers are friendly, nice location.
Clean and not too crowded. Nice staff and they have booze allowed in all theatres.
We had the whole theater to ourselves, it was great! The movie wasn't that great though.
The temperature is always perfect...nice and cozy; I love that I can bring my pizza and red wine is available!
Nice, cheap, and quick. Snacks are expensive but it's a movie theater so it's expected. Many convience stores near so you can get snacks there.
If you're looking for a place close by to go see a movie this is it. Never had an issue with just showing up and getting a ticket so no need to book ahead of time (wouldn't recommend it for a new movie though).
My go to cinema. Chairs are comfortable enough to make it through the movie and if you wait a couple weeks after a new release. It's not too busy.
Our family favorite pizza place. Very child and large group friendly. A yummy pizza pie for all discerning tastes.
This cinema is really well maintained, clean and comfortable. It offers a really good alternative to the bigger cineplexes downtown. Ticket prices are good, but as always with cinemas, the concessions are a joke! Frozen yogurt was more expensive than the meal we had across the street before the movie.
Nice location, very clean, staff are stiff and seem to do the bare minimum - granted this is during Covid so that may be contributing.
My favorite location to watch movies. I have a membership and get free parking. Services is always good. I only wish they accepted Cinipex cift cards.
Exactly what you'd expect from a movie theater with some nice extra goodies likes arcade games and pinball. My only concern was that we got charged $28 dollars for 2 large popcorns and 2 bottles of water ($4 each). So, basically, bring your own water bottles.
1 star down for so-so- popcorn (relative to other cinemas in the city. It isn't bad!). Everything else about the cinema is great, even the old arcade games. Like that the window walls get opened up entirely in the warmer months.
First time here, and first time at the movies for our daughter. Great little theatre which wasn't too busy at all. Popcorn was fresh and service was friendly. The bathrooms are a little rough and didn't see an accessible stall in the men's …
Cheap, staff is so nice! The place is never busy just walk in. Such a perfect way to see a movie. Join the club and parking is free
This is a great local Theatre ample parking, first run movies, comfortable chairs. I would recommend showing up early as the lines are slower than usual. They have a membership club you can join for discounts. Would make a great Xmas gift for any Toronto EastEnders.
I was a little hesitant to go back to the movies, but rest assured that the Beach Cinemas takes safety very seriously. The seats are assigned and there are staff members ensuring everyone is at their designated seat. They note down the …
Great little theater. Missing some of the bells and whistles, but is a great service for the beaches community
Not a good theatre - There was no one at the front box office when we entered - we had to buy our tickets at the concession stand, which was very strange. The washrooms were dirty and they advertise using the Cineplex name but are not affiliated with them: ie. they don't accept Cineplex gift cards (very annoying since I purposely went there to use my gift card)!
Great staff clean theaters and a Starbucks in the lobby, also had both my children's birthday parties there they really go above and beyond and very responsibly priced.
Great seating and big screen
Love this theater, become a member and get free parking and discounts on entrance and munchies! My friends will come out this way from Mississauga as it's just at the end of the Garider practicality. Quick in and quick out.
Like it here cuz it's not very busy, you can watch a movie with maybe 6 other people in the whole theatre.
Enjoyed the theater. Nicer sized screens and comfy seats. They serve beer too!
Really good neighborhood movie theatre. Nice and quiet, no crowds even on a Friday night. We’re in the neighborhood, great to find a theatre within walking distance. Smaller and not as many choices plus a little grimy but food and tickets are slight cheaper to compensate.
Decent place, in a nice location. Good if youre in the east and want a more low key place to catch a flick (see also: usually empty)
I love this place. Good seating and not so crowded as other cinemas.
Couldn’t wait to catch Shang-Chi only to find out my phone speaker is louder than what they had running. Multiple people complained the sound was too low. The employee would say they will look into it and nothing changed. It’s not worth the time and money if you can’t get the full experience.
Great little theatre in our neighbourhood. Get their early for cheap Tuesdays for big movies.
Ive been living in the beaches area for 4 years now, and Ive always gone to this theatre , enough that the manager knew me, Since new management is changed its gotten uncomfortable. I went to go see robin hood at 10:20 and showed up 10:40 which we all know the movie is only 5 minutes in by now. The doors were locked and the skinny kid who answered the door told me they cant let me in to see the movie. Im pretty sure 20 minutes late does not mean you are not longer eligible to see a movie. Ive stepped outside for a smoke during a movie and have been locked out before. You are going to lose business this way and im sure I will be choosing yonge and dudas next time . I know what beaches Cineplex is like and you guys can afford to lose more customers.
This location is in the beaches area of Toronto near Eastern Avenue and Queen Street East. The theater is COSI and the seats are comfortable and the ticket prices are reasonable
Nice and clean theater. It would be better if it had more food options.
Nice place. However, the concessions manager there on December 8 was horrible. He let me stand at the Starbucks concession cash, which is separate from the popcorn and soda line, for 5 minutes waiting to order coffee and tea. He walks past …
I like this theater, its my go to on the east end. The only thing is, its ridiculously tiny so they don't have a great selection of movies playing at any given time
Good cinema with lots of theatres. Like always snacks are expensive but they don't check your bag or pockets if you want to sneak something in.
Well other then the obvious which is the 6 screen theatre showing Hollywood movies and special programming, there is a Party room for children. As well on Tuesday they have a half-price movie night. Prices for food is rather steep so go to Harveys to eat before you watch that movie you've been dying to see.
Overpriced popcorn. Patrons put their feet up on the chairs in front of them even though you're sitting there. Chairs are filthy. Really do not agree with the other local guides.
Lovely cinema not to far from downtown. It even has a small arcade, loaded with older arcade games including Time Crisis!
Such a cute spot to go to. Tickets are 12.50 (tax included) A large beverage and large popcorn are around 16$(tax included)
Conscious of Covid protocols so I felt safe. The staff all seem well trained and friendly. And Clifford the Big Red Dog is wonderful for adults as well as children. I took my four year old grandson and he loved it.
Amazing time went to see f9 and me and my 2 sons were the only people in the whole theater lol made us feel special...the place was very clean and sanitized
The Cineplex monopoly means that this place now sucks. Short staffed and unable to keep up with demand on a Saturday night. Any small town vibes it had before are dead.
Kinda local , easy to get there and park, nice big screens a few arcades and not overcrowded. Great cinema
Nice to have a local theater with relatively good screens. Technically part of Cineplex but really more of an independent which means some extra hoops for online tickets and things like gift cards.
Great location for a movie for those that live in the area. Too many movies showing in 3D, but that issue exists with all theatres these days. Parking situation isn't great and will cost you more money to park across the street. Theatres could use a quality update.
Great Value for Money. Clean and Quiet Theatre. I've never been disappointed with the experience here.
I like going here as it is always quiet and calm. Just wish they had a better selection of movies so I could go more often!
Nice and quiet movie theater. They for sure need more staff as the last visit my wife and I had here we were disrupted the entire movie with groups drinking and doing drugs in the movies, so if you have kids with you be aware. I couldnt locate any staff to report it.
Nice cinema location when you want to get out the city, not a lot of choices of movies but overall good customer service and it gives you an out of town feel.
It's a small theatre so it's not overcrowded like some in downtown. I just wish they had places to sit while waiting for the next session.
Perfect theatre! Great movies, accessible, good service, never crowded.
My favourite small cinema. Generally cheaper than big ones downtown. If I don't want IMAX I generally go here.
It's really close to home, showtimes generally work for me. Staff is friendly, plus it's the Beaches so it's often not as busy as downtown theatres which makes for a nicer experience overall.
Our favourite theatre. Not too busy or crowded. Show great films.
Way easier to get a seat here than at some of the other theatres downtown, I will say the seats are not nearly as comfortable as the new theatres around the city, but alas thats life. Good theatre. You'll get a seat and some popcorn. Bueno.
Nice big sceeens and delicious fresh popcorn. dont forget the butter
It's a good theatre. Not usually busy early in the afternoons on weekends so it's a good time to see movies.
The Beach Cinemas is right beside an Lcbo so it's perfect for grabbing some drinks on your way home if you plan on having a glass of wine after your date but inside they also offer alcohol and VIP rooms which some locations are still …
It's not Cineplex but it's a great theatre. It's a bit on the smaller side, but since I live in the area it's convenient. I recommend getting there early.
Excellent movie theater in Leslieville/The Beaches. The location is off the Toronto's main venues, however this is a good deal for who's a movie theater goer - the place is often not busy at all (I even got one room for myself on a winter …
Enjoyed watching the movie (The Angry Birds), but my goodness, the place is filthy. Floor is sticky and there's popcorn and candy between the seats and in hidden crevices. Somebody else's review stated they were bitten three times by bedbugs, which I read just before my movie started! I can't confirm they have bedbugs as I didn't see any after a thorough check around my seating area. It was my first and last time going to this theater which is sad because it's actually a decent place with great prices and parking. If only they could clean up their act!
It's basic but gets the job done. AC here is pretty strong. Concessions cover the bases. Don't expect Cineplex related promotions or gift cards to work.
Great little neighborhood theatre. Never feels too crowded. Just wish there was more parking for our pickup truck.
It's like a small town theater, for better and worse. There's always parking (Green P) and it's rarely busy, but the concession stand is brutally slow. Small theatres but good picture and sound.
My favourite cinema. A nice local. But please for the love of Bruce Almighty put some painted lines on the floor at the concession stands to make people create individual line upsbfor each cashier like everywhere else. Somehow Beachers believe creating one mile long lineup (singular) for four cashiers is normal.
They never have any movies here for kids! Everytime my son is interested in a movie they never have it at this theater and we have to go elsewhere and I don't like going downtown. Sonic the hedgehog is coming out February 14th and they won't be showing that movie here either!!
I've been coming here since I was a teenager and it is my go to cinema. Small but good and the staff is super nice. Lots of parking as well but on the streetcar line as well.
Watched Avengers: Infinity Wars here. It wasn't too crowded for an opening weekend. Parking was a breeze. Only caveat was the movie screen was on the smaller side. Other than that, it was a pleasant experience.
I like this place. Pretty quiet and well located if you're living int he beaches. No free parking available on site but if you want an alternative to Cineplex while not quite going with small one screen cinema, its a great option.
We went to see the latest superheroine movie. Had a grand time. Very stress free and not Imax so one in our party did not get a headache
Comfortable seats, not very busy and a generally clean enjoyable theatre. They are now affiliated with cinneplex so you can use your scene card and Cineplex gift cards here too! There is not very much parking however, but there are a few spots behind the building and a small resteraunt parking lot just across the street west of the theatre. One of my fave little spots, they have current movies and once again, very nice seating and medium-large sized theatres. As they dont seem to get crazy busy durring evening showings you usually get your pick of seating for the perfect viewing experience. Staff is friendly and helpful as well, generally an enjoyable experience every time I've been with my wife and friends.
The service and cleanliness here are always excellent. I still hold out hope that someday certain other patrons will realise the interior of the building is not an elaborate hologram, and that the other audience members are in fact real people.
Love this theatre. Close to the Beach, Resturants, Street Cars, LCBO. Family friendly / fully accessible theater and restrooms. Concessions - popcorn is Dairy free/Vegan if you ask for the Becel! No dairy free options from the Starbucks. Small arcade area. Party room.
Good place to watch movies with friends and family. Well maintained and easy access. One of my favourite movie places in Toronto.
Nice theatre for when you don't need to see something in IMAX. Don't need reserved seats since usually if you're there 30 minutes early you have your choice even on opening nights.
While not as big or comfortable as the bigger brand theatres, the theatre is still nice, and more than worth going to as an alternative.
Friendly staff, not packed, and great theatre. Not the grandest, but good Cineplex standard. It only has 5 theatres, but that's nice since it isn't going to be rammed all the time.
The best screens in the East End. Clean theatres, big screens, good sound, and a decent number of options. If you watch movies regularly, consider getting a membership. For $15 a year, you get free parking, $1.50 off regular priced movies, and cheap night on Tuesday and Wednesday, plus they'll even throw in a random recent DVD.
Pros are also the cons. A good number of large screens for a quiet theatre that's not nearly as busy as the ones downtown. But the low attendance looks to be taking its toll. Staffing is minimal, concessions have declined in quality and the "arcade" should probably just be removed at this point
I usually go here for matinees. It's rarely crowded at these times. Facilities and prices are what you'd expect. Parking for free can be a bit challenging, but there's a huge paid parking lot nearby.
The cinema is totally good small neighborhood cinema. Not sure who chooses the movies though, even in late night time slots they almost never have anything on for adults unless you want to see a superhero/cheesy action block buster. Would be good to have at least one screen not showing kids movies or cheesy action flicks
I'm fairly certain that the screening of CATS I just attended was projected poorly. For one, there was a reflection or duplication of that image that created ghost like images in the bottom part of the screen. It is most notable during the opening title credits as company names are clearly duplicated on the lower part of the screen which should not have anything in it. Secondly, the sound was terrible. I can't imagine that a 100 million dollar musical would have mixed it's sound to be so quiet and front facing. There was virtually no surround sound to speak of. This is the second subpar screening experience I've had at the Beaches Cinema in a row. Until the broader issues are addressed please see films at another venue.
Great local theatre if you don't want to go far to watch a movie. Membership is worth getting.
Great little theater in the Beaches! They could keep the concession stand better stocked but other than that it is pretty good.
I like it here because it's never overly crazy busy, simple theatre goodies. Downside, NO parking unless you hit the green p and pay.
Dispite being on the Cineplex website/app and all of their posters/marketing materials having Cineplex logos this theater is apparently "not a Cineplex". Came here with my family and tried to use a few Cineplex gift cards but was laughed at and told that I should have checked the website/app and I would have seen that it says "not Cineplex" (it doesn't).
I've been here twice now for screenings of superhero movies, and I have to say this is a very convenient theatre. Having come both on a Saturday and Sunday afternoon, both days were not busy. This is a great place to go to catch a movie if …
close, lots of parking.Fast Food alley or sit down places all around.Theres a nice park right behind the theatre come early grab some take out and have a picnic and a movie. Theatre is good lots of room good sound ,nice snack bar, and first run movies.
Terrific deals and memberships available - avoid huge crowds, nice coffee area and outside patio in good weather makes this cinema one of a kind as far as I've ever seen - then a brief walk to the beach. Some free street parking with large Green P parking at rear.
Covid times...the last 2 movies I've had the theatre to ourselves. This cinema has plenty of parking, huge clean theatres, friendly staff, convenient theatres to the front door, close restrooms.
They used to have a great Marquee. The big black letters on an illuminated background It was replaced with a poor red-LED display. They gotta upgrade that. Go back to the original marquee.
I was here the other day, and had a bit of a scary experience beforehand, when a man started hassling my friend, blocking her way in to the theatre and generally just intimidating her. It scared us pretty good. The manager, Eric, was so sweet and handled the situation very well. He walked us into the movie, both him and a couple of staff members came to check on us as we watched. After the movie, he came and walked with us to the lobby and checked on us again just before our ride showed up. He also did a lap around the building just to be sure everything was ok and filled out an incident report. Despite this technically not even happening on the premises, Eric did everything in his power to make us feel safe and put my friend at ease, and for that I am grateful. Thank you Eric!
This is our family go to place for a movie. It is a little out dated but this theatre is slowly being modernized with the scene points, etc.
Little theatre with some popcorn and concessions. No fries! Believe its owned by cineplex. I was hnav to buy tickets online. Also looked like there is a party room.
Overall a great quite place. Shocked that Starbucks actually serves beer and wine here. However one of the students left to watch the counter seemed a bit overwhelmed, a bit more training might be needed.
This was the first night out with my children and myself in a long time the staff was awesome we saw the Adams family movie we all loved it
BIG clean air conditioned theater. MOVIE theaters are clearly marked.Theaters are clean.Comfortable seating..Large washrooms. Lastly friendly staff ..
The local Cinema! Never really very busy, which suits me quite well. Small number of screens, but adequate capacity. Waiting area has indoor and outdoor seating, with a fine concession stand; party room nestled within. A membership can be …
Nice compact and cute. The only issue is that it doesn’t have its own parking. Once has to park across the street and it’s a paid parking.
Lovely theatre. If you go a lot, get a membership. You get the cheap tickets on Wednesdays (in addition to the cheap Tuesday tickets for everyone). You also get a discount on their concession items. I love going here, especially since it's close to me.
Great location, cheap price, clean, what more could you ask for? Comfortable seats too.
Perfect neighbourhood cinema. Gets most of the movies and I have always been able to get a good seat when showing up just before movie starts. Now serves alcohol, which is a plus.
Cozy family theatre reminiscent of Market Cinema. Lobby is spacious with an oddly placed children's party room. Service moderate but quick with their limited selection. Local area can cater to food variety.
I love taking my two girls to this cinema-it's a wonderful tradition. I can't believe they are closing - what a shame! We don't have another nearby. Sad to lose a great spot.
Pleasantly surprised during our first visit. Very clean and modern theatre with stadium seating. Prices are a bit lower than the standard Cineplex plus they have a loyalty card that offers discounts on tickets and concessions. We saw an action film and the sound was excellent as was the picture. Only issue for drivers is that I don't think there's anything other than street or paid lot parking for the theatre, but it's a nice way to spend an afternoon after walking around the Beach area.
Got in on January 4th night to see Ghostbusters Afterlife, theater and everything was fine except for no popcorn and concessions,.. got in on the last night January 4th before covid lockdown.
Parking near the theatre. There's a bus route too. Tickets are reasonably priced. The seats are comfy.
Friendly staff and great location. I love visiting this area for a date night with a movie and dinner.
Quiet theater doesn't show all the big name movies. But if you live close by it's a good spot
Its a nice little theater,it only has six theatre's. Alot of familys go here from the beaches, clean and friendly environment
My first impression it was a typical neighborhood cinema... and I was write. Great experience, easy access, and very good personnel working there. The rooms are very good and comfortable. The only down side was the men's bathroom that requires a more frequent cleaning.
With Cineplex basically monopolizing the cinema industry, this place should really be knocked down or at least renovated. Outdated theatres with barely sloped floors and old seating.
Just a great little neighbourhood movie theatre. Maybe not the best for a blockbuster, but it's a cozy little place
This place needs some serious renovation. The seats are beyond uncomfortable.
It has some pretty great staff that are willing to help for the most part. They have the same combos as cineplex but are their own semi independant company with their own membership. The best part to their membership is the parking in the beaches.
I have a membership so movies are relatively cheap. There are good restaurants nearby where you can get a discount with your membership card. It can be busy at times. Parking is free in a nearby parking lot. Be warned that this parking lot for Alliance members is getting junked in with vehicles parked there on a more permanent basis. Go early, parking is starting to get hard to find - especially on weekends.
Great theatres. Fresh popcorn and a pleasure to be able to have a beer or wine while you watch your movie. Love it!
Clean, not too busy and easily accessible by TTC This theatre is also located close to the park, beach and walking trails. Just East of the theatre is a playground where you can kill some time before your show or take the kids afterwards to burn off some energy. There is a party room that you can rent for kids birthday parties as well as a standard but small video arcade. Theatre has free Wi-Fi and serve alcoholic beverages. There is parking available behind the theatre for those who choose to drive.
It's close to my home but definitely not the best cinema out there. It's good enough for a quick evening/weekend movie
Love the " membership" option , for $25 a year that includes free parking it's totally worth it. Nice theatre too !
Good Theater and polite staff. Takes forever to clean Theaters though.. can't go and sit down until right before your movie.
No box office staff so u have to wait for popcorn purchasers to get a ticket. Clean. Surcharge on advance ticket purchases on website.
Not a lot of food selection. Screen is reasonable but small compared to other theaters. Seating are comfortable. Staff are nice and helpful.
Front dialogue audio for The Revenant was unintelligible (sounded "out of phase"). Staff were notified 3 times by different viewers. Nothing was done for the whole film. A refund was very resistantly given after multiple groups insisted (Staff didn't think it was that bad).
