After last yrs covid crisis the community rallied to keep the Imperial theatre running by supporting their 50/50 draws. They then made the decision to only accept people with vaccine passports way before the government mandate. They made their choice to segregate half the people that supported them. Will never support them again if they can turn their backs on their own community.

Very small theatre which allows for a more intimate performance! Balcony & orchestra seating only. Wet bar. I was approached by a staff member during intermission. Even though the policy was to allow no-flash photography, staff was very gestapo like over doing just that. Even with display turned to minimum setting... no flash & never lifted above my chin while seated, this appears to have disturbed some toad behind me! I have never had a complaint ever before! ( My display was never on for more than 15 - 20 seconds to get a good shot! A simple request to make shots 'brief' would have been suffient... not a lecture on disturbing others!!! Sad that staff need to react & go on after I told her that it wasn't a problem! Otherwise the show was excellent. It was a Liona Boyd concert with Andrew Dolson, who was an excellent guitarist & a phenominal baritone, also classically trained!!!

We love going to events here. The set up has changed a bit for the bar and box office areas but it's for the better, in my opinion. A wonderful space where we have seen some great shows and heard a lot of tremendous music. An absolute treasure!

Took a hop over the bridge to hear Morgan James sing. Awesome power with great guitar from Doug. The venue was a classic theater. They have done some nice renovations and improvements. Drinks (beer, wine, mixed drinks) are available from the beverage counter to enjoy during the show. The staff was very friendly.

The showing of White Lie was great. Unfortunately the imperial theater is under construction at this time. Would love to see the construction replacing the seats and winding the isles. No space for anyone to get by and talk about cheek to cheek wow. Also no law and order just swarning. That said still had a fantastic time and truly enjoyed the movie that was so well done. Love independent films. Next year SWFF all week pass for sure.

My review is based on the venue itself and not the performance, I feel that imperial offers a lot of entertainment options for the Sarnia area. However, the venue is outdated, the furniture is uncomfortable, the drinks expensive and there is no heat. -9 celsius outside and I had to watch the performance in full winter gear including gloves and so did most of the audience. The women bathroom was full of spiders, could see your breath and ice was forming on the floor. I don't know how anyone can enjoy a show here. not to mention there was no enforcement of the rules, with people coming in and out of the theater, playing on their phones, chattering and being obnoxious.

Just saw Steven Page with Symphony NB conducted by Andy Creeggan at the Imperial June 31st, 2019. We had front row seats, very comfortable and the sound was fantastic!! Staff are always helpful and were really wonderful that night as well as I lost my phone down in the orchastra pit and they had a roadie get it for me lol. Always a great time there in probably the most beautiful theatre around.

I'm so happy to see that we have such a great place like this in Saint John; It really gives people a chance to express their talents and it is very popular. The inside is very appealing to the crowd and they are often sell out for every play because they are put on so well. They have so many special talented actors and it is very realistic. The cost is very affordable and well worth the price. I highly recommend this Theatre to anybody locking to have a very upfront and personal experience. I love this place and it is very popular among any age group. I have to give it 5 stars.

Lol Theatre, also an educational expression, a commercially accepted instructional advertisement of a society's ever-changing history. As social creatures we love entertainment and fun education. Theatre makes education FUN and is a non-intrusive way of extending deeper meaning of the messages people bring to communities so excited to be theatrically entertained. I love it. I LOVE the Imperial Theatre... Great local venue. It is not too big, not too small. I am no expert, but I think the acoustics are great. The staff and volunteers and fantastic and so helpful. Last time I was in to buy tickets, I wasn't sure which seats I wanted because I'd never been in the balcony so the man in the box office offered to show me around the available seats so I could check them out and then told me a great deal of history about the theatre, pointed out several things in the building with historical significance (ie: the section of bar in the balcony area that once belonged to the bank, the signatures on the wall from the 1930s), and told me about all the upcoming improvements happening at the theatre. Just A+ for customer service. Shows are a good variety.... Plays, musical acts, comedians. Definitely recommend.

The Imperial Theatre Sarnia is just the right size building to view productions, comedians and musical venues. We recently saw Jeremy Hotz. It was sold out and the show was comical. The theatre itself was great for veiwing as it is not too large. Seeing the stage is excellent & the sound is good too.

I love this facility and would love to see more concerts held here. Unfortunately the better concerts and lower prices are usually an hour and a half away in Moncton at Casino NB. Come on Saint John lets support Imperial Theatre and Harbour Station.

The theatre itself is ok, except for the tiny washrooms. The box office however is another story. The staff are rude in there, and if u attempt to order tickets by phone they never answer it! Then when u ask why they never answer they tell you that u should've left a message , which you can't always do if you're working! Then they charged me 23 dollars for my daughter's dance recital and made no apologies for me not being able to order them earlier by phone and that the online system again wouldn't allow me to order. This guy blamed all the issues on me, the customer. He claimed they answer phone but in front of me told someone else that there were over 30 voicemails and laughed. He also told me that he'd been there all day. Well boo hoo that's your job buddy! I'd been at work all day too and fighting to get a hold of them and still had to go there too but there's no understanding of that. No explanation when I questioned increased price of tickets either other than " fees" and of course taxes. They also charge you same 23 dollars whether you are a baby, child, adult or senior which is ridiculous. Some of the worst customer service I've ever had the misfortune to deal with

IM PRO VACCINATION but im not pro bad customer service, I walked in here on two seconds occasions to pick up my tickets I purchased through the phone and both times I wasn’t acknowledged at all and ended up walking out after 5 minutes bc the lady was on the phone and instead of putting them on hold to help me she opted to take a personal call but then went right back to the person on the work phone. December 7th around 3pm.

We went to the Brent Butt comedy show. It was our first visit since the Imperial Theatre make over from the old Capital Movie Theatre of years past. Brent was fantastic and the crowd all enjoyed his performance. I could tell because of the great laughter. The place was a a near sellout. I would guess at least 95% seats sold. You were able to purchase a can of beer or a glass of wine and there were people selling 50/50 draw tickets. Over all an extremely fantastic experience.

Love going to Imperial Theater and this year my family and I saw The Nutcracker. Our seats were in the balcony but we still had an excellent view. Friendly atmosphere and we parked about two blocks away.

Great experience. The Wizard of Oz.....all time classic. Full house of a sold out crowd. Ushers at the ready and helpful. Seating relatively easy to access. Production proved the implementation of upgraded acoustics. Major community dollars have enhanced that system with major physical rebuilds in the offing. Entertainment delightful! Small stage that the crews built and rebuilt like clockwork. Quality chorus line. First rate vocalists. It had a good collection of great costumes for the munchkins.....and all the rest of the cast. You KNEW you were in the Land of Oz!!! Footnotes: our little area had our very own DOROTHY!!! Dressed up with pig tales tied with plaid blue ribbons. Little shiny RED glitzy shoes! And she brought her very own TOTO!!! Basket included slung right over her arm! So sweet...so real. Many children in attendance even though this was an evening performance. Perhaps more from this small community being introduced to the Arts!

Our theatre group took part in the WODL Festival held in Sarnia at the Imperial Theatre. It is a beautiful theatre and we were treated amazingly well. They even served us a delicious lunch and supper the day we performed our play. Very friendly and accommodating. Wish I lived closer so I could attend more theatre performances there.
