Went there with my sister to watch a movie and my ice tea drink tasted like soap, or a really strong disinfectant spray, it even had a really strong chemical smell.. it was horrible. ????

Such a great experience and the staff are quite friendly. I'm very happy that there are parking attendants to organize the cars to avoid any complaints to be able to see the whole screen without being blocked by taller/bigger vehicles. Make sure to bring bug spray or fan during the night time, it was quite bothersome with the heat and mosquitos but the breeze was quite relaxing. Thank you Prairie City Cinema!

Went to Prairie City Cinema for the drive-in theatre screening of 'A Quiet Place 2', unfortunately the lights in the parking lot stayed on throughout the whole movie which took away a bit of the immersion. Apart from that, the staff were friendly and made sure we had good sightlines to the screen. I would definitely come back for another screening.

They had a great selection of current movies to choose from, all of them current to my best knowledge, and the times listed were perfect for me to get in, grab my ticket, and still have a few minutes to find my seat and use the washroom before the opening credits. The prices were good, I enjoyed the popcorn (although the butter was just topping and not actual butter, wish it had been) and although the soda was a little on the flat side it didn't really take away from the overall experience. I went to watch suicide squad, and while at first it seemed like the 3D visual calibration was a bit off, that quickly changed once the movie started rolling. The seat was comfortable and there was room on either side of me (I was just sitting alone close to the isle) to place my medium popcorn and large soda. The sound and picture quality were impressive for it being a family-owned business. The only gripe I had was that with the theatre being the small size it was, the screen wasn't able to fill the wall, which at times was rather distracting from the film itself. However, the immersion into the film provided by the cinema was still up to par with most cinemas, at about two thirds of the price. I didn't even use my full $20 for ticket and snack combined, where as in cinemas that I've been to in major cities I could've been looking at 25 - 30 dollars. Overall while not 100% flawless, I'll definitely be going to see another movie sometime.

Price of admission is about the same as going to Winnipeg to see a movie BUT the price of snacks at the concession is a lot more affordable than in Winnipeg movie theaters. I love going to see movies here, especially Marvel movies. ???? SUPPORT SMALL BUSINESSES ????

Prices are average. It is cash only which is a pain. Up to date movies, comfy chairs, good prices on snacks and popcorn. I wished the butter was actual butter and not "topping". I would pay abit more for butter. Overall a good place to go and take the family. They ran a family movie with lights on for little kids, theme nights and another that I forget the name of. Imaginative, and draws people in. Covid update: this business has been great for the community. They set up a drive in in their parking lot early on, and continue to sell their popcorn and snacks for at home movie nights. Can't wait for them to open again.

Saw a movie at the drive in here. This is a make shift drive in theatre due to the challenging Covid restrictions, however the staff have done a great job with it. Concessions are open inside and are well done, and bathrooms are available indoor as well. Sound is provided through an FM station that you tune into on your in car radio. A very fun experience overall!

We went to watch Frozen II. We went at 5:00 to buy tickets spoke to an employee but we're not told that they were sold out 3 DAYS AGO. stood in line only to find out at the counter they were sold out. There should have been a sign on the door stating that the show was sold out.

I have coming here all my life, it has always been professional, and I've always enjoyed myself, the seats are comfortable, and it's the best popcorn I've had in my life, not lying, I use their popcorn as a base for perfect popcorn, highly highly recommended

A nice theatre and it's privately owned but "cash only" is not good! I can see that for a small ice cream stand or one screen theatre place - but there are more than one screens here and it seems to be a busy place - debt and credit would be helpful. Would likely bring in more customers- and encourage me to go see a movie more often. Very rarely do I have cash.

Totally love this theatre!! Awesome for birthday parties for your kids or a great family outing. Seriously can't beat the snack pack deal for a small popcorn, fountain drink, and a chocolate bar for $4.99. The price of your movie tickets are an awesome price too, especially on the deal days. Totally has that warm welcoming small town feel. Definitely has turned into my main movie place to go with my family!

Great theatre. The new ownership has some fantastic ideas. For a small town this is a pretty hip little addition. New ideas seem to be coming in every month. The late show is great addition. Always check the special events on the website, because some of them sell out fast.

I’ve been there on 3 different occasions since they re-opened. Nothing but good things to say. The social distancing is good. Shields at the entrance and the snack bar and face masks worn by staff. The way the rows in the theatre are staggered gives you lots of distance between other patrons. Feels better than restaurants or stores I’ve been in. You should check it out yourselves. Nice to see the big screen again.

Drove down from Beausejour and were more than super impressed with Prairie City Cinema. The winds made it so the outdoor screen couldn't go up all the way, so there was a little re-jigging of the cars, but wow, what a great job by the staff! They were very accommodating to our low profile car and stuck us right up front even though we only got there right at movie time. The inside was so clean, their sanitizer smelled amazing, staff were all super friendly. 5 stars all the way. We will absolutely make that drive again!
