We love going to the Movie House! The staff is always friendly, the theater is always clean and they recently renovated the theater and upgraded their seats. It's nice to have a local option and not need to drive into the City. I wish they would accept debit or credit at the concession, as I sometimes forget to bring cash. I also wish they would bring in a better variety of movies, as sometimes we want to see a movie, but aren't interested in anything showing that week. We also love that they've maintained the small town movie theater feel in the theater.

Only thing holding the 5 star away is if the screens were larger and better seating. However based on what's actually there currently I can't speak badly about this place. It's local and by spending money here your supporting the local business community. Awesome little cinema

I was astonished by how clean and welcoming this Cinema was. Comfortable seats Great Sound friendly staff. I got rid of my Scoita scene card because I have no need to ever attend a Cineplex again. Now if only Hollywood would start making good films again.

It's very nice to have a movie theater in town and they always have the newest films available. They take debit at the door for tickets but not at the concession. Wish they did. That's my only criticism. Washrooms are clean and staff is lovely.

Love the fact that Cochrane has a movie theater, but how long will they stay in business if I'm the only person watching a movie. MOVE PEOPLE NEED TO STOP GOING TO CALGARY TO WATCH A MOVIE, and start investing in OUR town!

Nice, quaint feel, spacious and comfortable movie theatre, good movie offerings as well! I like that the Seniors discount starts at 60... that tipped the choice of movie theatre in their favour and we were not disappointed.

Awesome local theatre in the heart of a growing downtown. It's nicer than what you would expect for a non-franchise and feels nice to support local. Can't wait to bring my kids here once they're a little older fire a family movie night.

This place is in good condition, always clean, and staff are very helpful. My only problem is the pricing. Concession is overpriced as usual, but tickets are a bit outrageous. I live in Cochrane, and am happy to support local businesses whenever possible, but it sours me a bit to pay $13 ($16 for 3d) to see a movie in a small town theater like this. If I'm going to pay the same price as cineplex or landmark, I want the big screen, big sound, comfy seats, etc, which the movie house does not have. I know they're running a business, but I think adult tickets need to be less than $10 for me to consider staying in Cochrane. End of the day, the tickets are too expensive for what they offer.

This place is a gem!! Clean, inexpensive and friendly. One of the last small town theaters with an old time feel while having all the modern amenities. Comfortable seats and REAL Butter for popcorn

I LOVE the Cochrane Movie house. It's clean and neat and close. I live in Cochrane and can decide at the last minute to go watch a movie and get there quick. Once watching a MARVEL movie there, at the end the theatre staff came in when the credit started and asked it we were interested in watching the outtakes at the end. We all yelled yes and she zipped through the credits and brought up the outtakes. So cool.

Went to see a movie with the family and was given prepaid movie tickets as a gift. Tried to use them to cover some of the ticket costs, and wasn't allowed as they are considered "passes". I've never experienced anything like this at a movie house before, as every other theatre accepts their own paid for vouchers. It seems a bit scammy to sell prepaid ticket vouchers and then force people to buy tickets because you don't accept them.

Great, professional and absolutely fantastic about keeping to AHS COVID guidelines. Came for Family Movie Night, and had a theatre for just our household, and they had our movie already queued up, ready to go, and food and drinks pre-prepped for us. Great service!

A great little gem! It's clean, the popcorn and pop are reasonably priced (for a movie theatre) and the staff are always nice. Best of all they carry first run movies, and the price of admission is always very reasonable. Being in a smaller community first run movies are not always outrageously busy. All of the things you dislike about going to the movies in the city don't exist here. One of Cochrane's most underrated businesses.

Every time we have gone here, we have had an exceptional experience. The staff are personable and take the time to make sure your needs are met. The "Ladies night out" events are fantastic and such fun. I once took my young nephew to his first movie here, and when he was frightened by the loud sounds and darkness in the theatre, the staff reassured him and lowered the volume and increased the house lights (we were the only ones at a matinee), and when he was still too upset, they refunded us our tickets. Such professionalism and outstanding customer service!!

Great small-town theater, they have a great relationship with my office. We've done numerous company events here, and it's great. We have been known to saunter over from Calgary for a more relaxed movie night than a big city theater, too.

Great little movie house for a smaller town. Decent selection of shows. Some don't stick around too long but they only have a limited number of screens so they have to move things around. The show you want will come in eventually. Most of the new action shows are only in 3D so if you don't like 3D you may be out of luck. Im not a huge fan of 3D. Of course if they didn't offer 3D somebody would complain about that. You can't please everybody. My only real complaint - you have to pay cash for the popcorn. And it's not that they don't have a credit card machine. You can buy your tickets with plastic. But not popcorn. Weird. So bring cash I guess. Otherwise you can't go wrong with this place. I love it.

Great movie theater and excellent service. The Western theme seemed to be the focus of Cochrane tourism in the early 2000's, and the theater definitely holds that look, however with the expansion of Cochrane and the new locations sprouting up, it unfortunately looks quite run down compared to everything around it. I'm hoping Cochrane municipal realizes this and supports change for the better.

My friend and I drive from Calgary just for kicks to see a movie here. It was a great experience! Clean, comfortable and affordable. Plus we were the only two in the theater. Definitely looking for an excuse to come back!

Very clean, staff are nice and theaters are a good size. My only issue is the same as any theater the concession is very overpriced. I ordered a bag of Reese Minis and it was $5 but worse than that... A small container of popcorn which was about 10 cents worth of Kernel's for $7.25! So eat before you go!

Very nice theatre. They just got new seats that are very spacious and recline. I have not been in all of there theatres but the floors are always clean and very friendly staff. Only thing they could improve is getting a debit/credit card machine for concession as it is currently only cash, although they do have an ATM to get cash.

This is not a big movie house. It has 5 small theatres so it's never too crowded. Cost is not an issue. The small town atmosphere is worth every penny. They now have a theatre with reclining seats.

Pros: Friendly staff, clean interior and easy parking. Cons: Seat was uncomfortable, too much butter was put on the popcorn and like others have pointed out the ticket prices are expensive for what you get.

A really nice movie option right in Cochrane. The theatres have decent seats with good sound systems. I have been to a couple of opening nights and have always been able o get tickets. Heads up that the concession is cash only.

Not a bad little theatre if your in Cochrane and do not wish to travel to the city. He recently been renovated and has new seating in some theatres, quite comfortable and great upgrade from previous arrangement. Very easy to get tickets for the movies you want as they are very rarely packed( even on opening nights) . Alot cheaper in cost than city theatres as well. Small confectionary stand, but hey, your there for the movies!

This is absolutely my favorite small town movie theater not too far away from Calgary's city limits. Their popcorn is delicious and the theater still looks brand new, although the sign says it opened in 1998. I loved the seats in screens 3, 4, and 5 where you can lift down the armrests for your large drink or candy, but I wonder if the seats in screens 1 and 2 would be replaced.

It's a decent cinema, not the most modern looking cinema inside and out however the atmosphere is cosy and comfy. It gets the job done when you have that movie itch. Offers the latest Flix and some reasonably priced snacks. Lovely staff.

I hadn't been to the theater in a few months, but was a nice surprise the other night. I was in theater 1, all the seats were new. They are a nice leather folding theater seat, the chair back rocks back, wider armrest. They were very comfortable for the duration of the movie. I'll be coming back here more often rather than driving to Calgary.

Excellent theatre to go to without having to go into the city. It is always clean and great staff. Only thing I think is odd is accepting credit and debit for the movie tickets but a cash only for concession. In my opinion should be one or the other for the whole place.
