Do you know the story of Dawes Black Horse Brewery, founded in 1811, in Lachine? A Quebec brewing company was founded in 1811 as Dawes Brewery by Thomas Dawes. It was the third brewery on the island of Montreal, after the Molson brewery and the Dunn brewery. In 1952, the brewing business was sold to Canadian Breweries. The group is renamed Dow Brewery.
