Decent cinema theatre. Sound quality and projector is not as good as the other local landmark theatre or the galaxy cinemas at Conestoga mall (might just have been the auditorium I was in). Plenty of parking and quick service. Average popcorn and food selections at multiplex cinemas. Very clean and nice interior (looks nicer than the other theatres in the region) Only main downfall is the distance from the Boardwalk's bus terminal but I guess that's just the design of the plaza (car-centric).

Love this theatre. The staff are friendly and generally treat guests well. It is the small details in the environment that really make the difference - to me, it is that they just seem a bit more human. Overall, I find that the experience from the parking lot to your theatre seat is WAY smoother than at a Cineplex. The staff are considerate in small but meaningful ways. For example, they have no problems with you waiting inside on a cold day and don't hurry you out. The washrooms also tend to be upkept well and they time movie releases so that the lineups aren't as long. This is also one of the few theatres that don't mind giving you a cup of water if you need it and have fountains available near the theatres. Generally, staff are friendly and don't look miserable like they do in Cineplex. Atom (the app which you can buy advance tickets) is well done and allows you to by pass line ups. You can buy your food and snacks in advance. The food has a good selection and sticks to the classics: candy, popcorn, ice cream, coffee, etc. They also have coke freestyle which lets you mix as many pops as you'd like and I find quite enjoyable. Additionally, this is one of the few places they still do refills (limited to some sizes). Moreover, they do not stop you from bringing your own water bottles, which is both environmentally safer and is really great for people with dietary sensitivities. The theatres have assigned seating and you can be sure you will get a good seat if you book in advance. The seats are generally comfortable regardless of what tier of ticket price you purchase (unlike at cineplex where you may be stuck in a very small seat if you didn't want to see the 3D version because you get simulator sickness).

Came back for the first time since COVID. Went to see Shang Chi opening weekend at 7pm and things weren't too crowded and I felt like there was lots of space between people. They had lots of rules but also weren't over enforcing to uncomfortable degrees. Concession is as over priced as ever and they don't have individual prices posted just combos which is annoying. Seats are comfortable and I like that everything is booked online now so no worrying about lining up for a good seat.

Plenty of parking and several theatres including Ultra AVX. Probably the best theatre in Waterloo proper. Can get quite busy for big openings or during weekends. Plenty of places in the same general plaza to grab a quick bite or sit down for a more formal meal before or after the show as well.

The good: It's everything you expect from a big modern multiplex theatre. The cinemas are perfect for big event movies. You can select your seat when you buy your ticket. It's clean. It's nice. The bad: They have a bad habit of showing the trailers with the cinema lights on. The concession line is slow. It's in a remote location without a convenient nearby bar.

Workers decided it was a good idea to end the film during end credits before the first of two mid/post credit scenes because the other two people at the viewing had already left. Been to this location plenty of times, but this is a first for me, felt kinda miffed about it, otherwise it would be 5*. Saw Suicide Squad.

I was excited to try their Wednesday date night as the deal seemed great at under $40 for two adults to get admission, drinks and popcorn. We arrived early to play in the arcade and were quite disappointed to see it was under construction. We were informed that it was not making enough revenue and was being turned into offices. Very disappointing! So we headed in early to the theatre (even though it was just a black screen...no music or trivia like they used to do) and noticed most of the seats were quite worn and some were in tatters. Not what we expected at all! The sound and picture were good when the film finally started and the restrooms were fairly clean also. Overall, a little underwhelmed with the experience but I suppose you get what you pay for!

Updated with all the latest cinema technology, 3D, Dolby atoms - maybe a version of it l, and nice arcades and concession snack selections. Prices are average. It is not in a very busy area, which is a hood thing. It is not as big as Cineplex cinemas in the KW area in my opinion. The staff are excellent and friendly. The Cinema itself was good, more like average. I think the seating is better at Cineplex in terms of reclining and seat space. The screen is also abit smaller than in cineplex. The snacks i.e. popcorn is pretty good. After 11 p.m. there are no more staff at the front which might not be a good thing.

I went into this theatre on a Saturday evening just to buy some popcorn to go. The wait was a bit longer than I would have liked, but not the end of the world. The young man that took my order was delightful and kindly covered the top of my popcorn and put them in a carry box. He even let me know that I could order popcorn for delivery with skip the dishes!!

As good and as bad as any movie place. The popcorn has changed in the last little while. It use to be buttery and tasty, now it's like eating Styrofoam. It's bad enough to pay 15 bucks for popcorn, pop and treat and then not eat the popcorn.

Landmark cinema located at 415 The Boardwalk, Waterloo, Ontario. Ample free parking. Friendly staff but be aware after 11pm no staff will be able to assist with your needs. I had the misfortune of seeing a late night showing off The latest Marvel movie. The theatre was unbearably hot as the air conditioning was not turned on. I was unable to notify staff of this. Followup with management after the fact was sorry, please notify a staff member.

All theatres are now reserved seats only, so you can book your tickets and seats online, or stop in ahead of time to book seats so you don't have to show up 30+ minutes early to get decent seats. Service is good and with the Costco Movie for Two passes (two adult regular tickets, two medium popcorn and two medium drinks) it's a pretty great night out for about $25.

Nice cinema, one thing to watch out for your first time is that all seating is assigned and the automated box office doesn't pick the best seats first. We were in an empty theatre and it put us in a back corner because we didn't attempt to change the seat assignment.

Recently our family visited the Landmark Cinemas for a family friendly movie. We had good seats, really enjoying pre-selecting and booking. Our food was as usual pricey. Near the end of the movie there was a power flicker and the staff handled the hiccup very professionally, working to get the movie back on track.

I was at this movie theater several times over the Christmas holidays. The lineup for tickets /popcorn / drinks etc often seemed long and intimidating. ...but hold on....all registrars were opened up so the line moved quickly. This is especially important when you have children with you as they become quite restless waiting in long lines. Movie theaters and washrooms were clean. Lots of parking. Landmark Cinema, Waterloo is on the Boardwalk which is an ideal location due to a variety of stores for shopping including a hardware, restaurants including fast food.

Went for the first time in a few months. The concession no longer fills the pop, they have coke machines on the side where you do it yourself. So now you have 2 lines to stand in and wait. The popcorn bags are Definitely smaller than before, but the prices are still rising. The theatre seating is comfortable and they have many options on the different types of theatres. (Extra, I max, etc)

It's great having a theatre like this on the Boardwalk. It's clean and often seems less crowded than other theatres. The staff have been fast and friendly in my experience. Reserving your seats for free is a huge win. I definitely recommend this place over other theatres.

I am starting to like Landmark far more than Cineplex. They have better showtimes here. There is far less focus on 3D movies, which I appreciate. Let me first tell everyone, There are no reclining leather seats at this cinemas. We thought all Landmarks had them. However, The staff made me give a 5 star for this location. When we realized the seats were not the leather recliners, we did not want to sit in the seats we chose at time of purchase. The staff switched our seats without complaining or making us feel like we were asking too much. The person who took our tickets also helped us out with popcorn refills so we did not have to stand in the line up and that was beyond in my opinion.

Went there with the family and the process was well done. Didn't know what to expect going to theatres during these times but they asked you a few questions upon entry. When we went wasn't overly busy so was easy to get seats and it was spread out enough in the theatre itself for you to enjoy the movie.

Horrible customer service. The introduction of assigned seating is rediculous. If you buy the costco card you can't get assigned seating. Go online they will only accept credit card. Try to call them both numbers are never open even after 2 hrs of trying the numbers on the website. By the time I get to the movie all the decent seats are taken up and I am stuck with horrible close up to the screen seats. Very poor sticking to galaxy from now on

For a place that hasn't been open for that many years it is dirty as hell in there. Also, don't ask them to split the butter between the middle and the top because they charge double for that. Best tasting popcorn of any theater I've been to. Ive actually gone just to buy popcorn to take home! Customizable fountain drinks. Seats are very comfortable and well spaced. Theaters are clean. Sound is very good and pretty well isolated from adjacent theaters. Lineup for fountain drinks can be very long sometimes and the light for the stairs in the theater are too bright and can be distracting, especially with 3d glasses on.

Definitely a family friendly, small theater. We normally go here once a week or so since it's right near out home. Yesterday night, the theatre was a little busy. The reason for my low review is that I reached to grab a smart water from the shelf and a girl working didn't see me I guess? And she ripped the shelf out, trapping my finger and pinching it. She didn't seem to notice but the guy giving me my popcorn just gave me an awkward look and waved the next person on. We waited at the side of concession for at least a cup of ice for about 15 minutes before my boyfriend reached around and grabbed a cup so I could ice my swelling hand. My finger is now swollen, pooling blood under the skin and purple. Maybe staff should take more notice of their surroundings when rushed..

Waited in line for a significant amount of time to buy tickets and food even though there was only 3 people ahead of me and 2 tills open but I think some employees were new so that's understandable, movie itself was great despite the fact that the people sitting behind me were loudly talking through most of the film and I needed to shush them but that's not the theatres fault. I decided to get dinner on the way out but all food items sans popcorn was going to be a 15 minute wait. Overall it was an okay experience, with kinda fairly slow/poor service.

Saw Star Wars last night. Other than the horrendous smell (since the theater is beside the dump), it was a decent experience (although the lights could have been turned down for the previews). It's a great theatre and not usually very busy. Definitely my theatre of choice in town. But landmark has worse nachos than other theatre competitors. The cheese doesn't have that classic flavor. Usually I prefer Landmark to Cineplex. Today, I took my kids to see Lion King. I had received an email of deals and the one I tried to use suggested two tickets, 2 drinks, 1 popcorn and a treat. I inferred it meant free, but sadly no. $51 for the three of us. Don't be deceived and just by a popcorn and a drink to share. It was cheaper than this apparent deal. Landmark I am disappointed!!

Decent place to see a movie. The location is easy to access and there are plenty of restaurants nearby if you'd like a meal before the show (or after). Lots of parking available, so that's never an issue. The seats are comfortable enough. Snacks are very expensive, but that's no different from any other theatre. Best part is that you can choose your seats when you purchase your tickets (with no extra fees added on and this is standard for all movies here), so you don't have to arrive early to try to get a decent spot.

Line took 20 minutes to get a pop because they only have 4 self serve machines but easily 300 ppl in line. Lastly if the movie theater is sold out turn up the air conditioning a bit it was hotter than a club

Purchased our tickets and selected our seats the day before the movie. At the time only 5 other seats had been pre-purchased and I specifically choose seats well away from the 5 other guests. A total of maybe 25 people in the theatre and an adult couple choose to sit right in front of my kids and a family of 4 tried to sit right beside us. Landmark needs to have more signage in the lobby in regards to respecting social distancing and fellow movie goers or they need to have an usher go through the theatre before the movie starts to ensure people are keeping a respectable distance. Very disappointed with Covid Protocals here.
