The food is amazing. Just had an 8-course tasting menu as part of the theatre's Ontario 150 celebrations and it was truly the best meal I have ever eaten. The show was great, the atmosphere great and the staff were excellent.

This is not our 1st time here and every time we came here in the past, mostly for New Year's Eve, it was a well spent time. This is a very well known and established theater. The owners, James and Sarah, are fantastic hosts. The Lakeview Arts Barn is well known for catering weddings, conferences and live theater events. Besides that, they also have a school of dramatic Arts for all ages. From Bobcaygeon, it's about 15 min drive. Well deserved the drive, time and money.

My girlfriend and I chose this location for a "dinner and show" type date, and I am so glad that she introduced me to this location. The food was absolutely amazing (I had the Caesar salad, the lamb, and a berry crumble, and they were all made perfectly). The staff we interacted with were very kind and all-around a great touch to our experience, with all of them being very kid, helpful, and welcoming. The show after dinner, Shirley Valentine, was amazing. Sarah Quick, the actress who played Shirley, did a spectacular job, and there was never a dull moment. I would recommend this place to anyone who loves great food and great theatre. I'll be happy to come back soon!

Globus has filled with Lakeview Arts Barn with an incredibly friendly staff, working to bring top notch entertainment to the Kawartha Lakes. Each season brings in some of the best talent the country has to offer, and having the option to dine in the space before a show makes for a perfect night out. Highly recommended.

Wonderful and kind staff! The food is amazing, three courses with accommodations for various food allergies if needed. My mum has a mushroom allergy, and the kitchen is always attentive to that. My family has been coming for 5+ years to the dinners and shows. The actors are phenomenal and we love coming back.

We love this Theatre. Been season ticket patrons for a couple years now. If you choose to attend there is a great dinner before the show or you can attend the show only.

James Barrett's audience interaction put the show over the top. He had us sitting on the edge of our seats anticipating what would come next. It was a heart warming way to engage a difficult, relevant topic particularly coming out of Covid. We went looking forward to an evening of good food and entertainment and got so much more.

We went to see Shirley Valentine last night. The show and dinner were great and I would have rated higher if it was not for our health concerns. We were seated near the washroom entrance and notice many people leaving thier tables to go to the washroom not wearing thier masks. Worst was many had them in thier hand so it is not like they forgot. I believe Globus needs to post some signs that MASKS ARE NEEDED WHEN NOT SITTING and ensure people are following the rules. I am sure if a health inspector had been there, there would have been consequences. It was great getting out to this venue but we must all do our bit to reduce and eliminate the COVID health risks. Couple of suggestions. Suggestions : I do not remember the the person reenforcing the mask policy when we were screened coming in? As well a reminder sign on the wall just before you enter the upper washrooms may be helpful. We did mention it to staff serving our table but it is a catch 22 for them. Many of the people we saw (at least 10) were older and may not take kindly to your young staff questioning them as well as this could have a direct impact of how people compensate for service provided.

Mean spirited people - I bought dinner + theater tickets for my wife's birthday today, but unfortunately she is sick. I asked for an exchange for any other night in August, but was told that they have a "no refund/no exchange policy". You don't mean to tell me they are fully booked every night in August - would have cost nothing to show a little goodwill. Don't know about you but I am tired of business being all about the money, all the time.

As advertised on the site there is small and intimate reception... This is a lie. They claim, in email, to be a larger venue and will not except any guest list under 150 guest plus 130 minimum.

Wow! What a great night! We were first-time visitors and will definitely return for future shows. We booked because we wanted to see the show (Shirley Valentine) and naively thought of the dinner as just a nice added bonus. Boy, were we wrong about that! The food was exceptional; fresh, flavourful, and perfectly prepared and presented. The staff were unfailingly friendly, cheerful, and helpful. The setup of both the dining area and theatre was carefully planned, ensuring safe social distancing. The show will remain a wonderful memory; Sarah Quick IS Shirley Valentine! Sarah's performance was absolutely spellbinding. Thanks again for an exceptional evening. Wishing you much success in the future! You truly deserve it.
