Old fashioned seating (not stadium style). Screens feel kind of small. Prices of concessions are ridiculous just like any other theatre.

As good as it gets outside of Toronto. Seats recline in all theatres and it's generally clean. Unfortunately the cinema is staffed by children who aren't managed properly so lines can be long and slow moving. They'll learn, I'm sure, but it's a far cry from the VIP cinema on the Queensway.

Theater is great for watching movies with friends and family. All auditoriums use reclining seats which are super comfortable, and theatres aren't usually fully packed. The arcade is a bit out of date and poorly maintained so games are usually out of order.

Un professional did not ask for scene points, gave me the wrong drink. Did not have food ready to be served to customers. Forgot my candy, and didn't seem to care what for the customer and that was coming from a manager. Overal comfy seats horrible staff.

Smaller than most movie theaters in the area. Theaters are ok, nothing special. But what's odd, there is no ticket counter, and instead tickets are sold together with popcorn, drinks and snacks at concession stand. Parking also on the small side, but there is a large one across the street at nearby Plaza.

This theatre is generally good, staff are friendly and screens are good. Reason for 3 stars is that the theatre was completely dark and hour before movie and all lights came on 3/4 through movie. When i told manager only response was "oh, ok we'll look at it". No apologies at all.

The theatre is usually great but this resevered seating is a waste of time!!!! I really hate it. This separates people and families who want to sit together. If you trying to show that tickets are sold out just do it some other way. Resevered seating is useless. I dunno if I'll ever come again after this horrible experience

Theaters are a little on the smaller side, and the incline slope can make seeing over the person in front of you difficult at times. I noticed couple of the recliner seats are broken now as well. It's Cineplex so the movie tickets are a good price, but be prepared to pay a lot for a popcorn and drink.

Love the seats super comfy! I have noticed the last couple times it seemed as though Cineplex is on a budget. I got a 3/4 filled bag of popcorn and they messure the ice. Kinda of weird considering how much they charge for concession don't ya think? ...Generally though, no complaints.

On Monday July 31st we were rained out at camp and decided to go to the show. Bought our tickets sat down in our reclining chairs and watched 2 scenes of Dunkirk. The screen went blank and only the audio worked. As it turns out a power failure hit the theater. Staff quickly explained the situation and gave us two complimentary passes. Well done Cineplex!

Absolutely the worst movie experience I have ever had . No ushers to maintain a level of quiet and appropriate behaviour for the movies . Nothing better then spending 65 bucks to see a movie you can't hear infront of a family of 7 who stole your seats.

I went on the first day of reopening after shutdown for covid. They spaced out the seats nicely.. it wasn't crowded at all.. unfortunately the Popcorn was really stale.. they were scraping the bottom to get Popcorn... im not sure why they just don't make more... anyways.. overall it was alright I was just happy ro be out again..

Great location. Reclining and big chairs, as comfortable as your own sofa. As in all Cineplex you can buy the ticket online or in the location and use your Scene Card, the only "but" is that there isn't Timeplay in this location

I was excited to go here as we had gone to Whitby Cineplex which was all sold out. Disappointed....no yogen fruz, would have liked some ice cream. And the worst little arcade of games. The prizes to win were awful and a few of the handful of games there was, were out of order. And then once we say down for our movie we realized the kiosk had given us the wrong tickets. Be extra careful at the machine.

This Being my first time in one of these theaters since the pandemic started (We saw venom 2). I enjoyed the comfy recliners they had, popcorn and fountain pop.. But a good thing is that they never changed too much, typical movie theater.

My family and I watched Starwars The Last Jedi on Christmas Eve and I absolutely loved this theatre. The seats were comfy and spacious, and the place looked clean and well maintained. Recliner seats, adjustable arm rests, and excellent sound quality.

Love this little theatre since the new seating. I have family/friends coming from as far away as Ajax, Whitby, Oshawa to join me at this theatre. Buy your tickets at the same time as the popcorn. Very friendly staff. They keep it clean.

Consistently good.. I don't like the LINE UP system for Popcorn as I usually chose the slow line - WISH THEY WOULD SWITCH TO a QUEUE System... Proactive Manager helped us get tickets when we weren't getting popcorn and saved us a lot of time in the lines...

It's just ok. Clean, which is unusual for a movie theatre. However I found the new chairs that they have in there to become quite uncomfortable for a 2 hour movie. The screens are pretty small. If probably come back tho.

Very nice theatre. Recliner seating. Small arcade to pass some time before the movie. It is never really that busy. Like other Cineplex theatres you can purchase your tickets on line ahead of time and use the self check in kiosk when you arrive to print your tickets.

Been seeing movies from Cineplex Odeon Clarington since i was a kid, and will always come here as my first choose! its by far the best place for enjoyment and family, the place has been remodeled A lot and i miss the old movie booths were they would give you your tickets, but the open concept is very appealing over all worth going here every chance i can!

An older theatre that is getting long in the tooth. Lost a lot of respect for Cineplex when they not only downsized the drinks, but removed the refill option on large size beverages. Pop is one of the cheapest products out there, this seems like another attempt to squeeze every last dime out of customers when they're already charging crazy money for soda.

Went to this Cineplex location because our local one is no longer playing Shang Chi. It was ok, but is basically a very old location with upgraded seats. Washroom had many malfunctioning faucets. If you want a great theatrical experience, I would not go out of my way to see a movie here.

Comfortable and quiet, usually less busy than the Oshawa or Whitby theatre. They recently upgraded the seats to the reclining ones with movable arm rests, so you can snuggle with your sweetie. It's smaller than a lot of the other theatres in Oshawa and Whitby, but it also has a lot of restraunts nearby.

It was minus twelve outside. The theatre auditorium had no heat. We had to watch the movie dressed to the hilt in our winter coats etc. No one from the theatre warned us about this. It wasn't a terrible experience though it would have been nice if they would have at least served complimentary coffee, hot chocolate or handed out those hot pads to place in your gloves.

Typical movie theatre. Sometimes the floors are very sticky, other times they are clean. Staff need to interact more with customers especially if there is a complaint. Hotdogs we purchased were lukewarm, so we returned them, asked for our money back. Staff member and manager never even asked what was wrong, just gave the refund. Kind of concerned us... We will go back as nice and close to us, comfy recliner seats but will stay away from the hotdogs. Landmarks hotdogs are much better... and hot!

The cinema layout is interesting, unlike any other that I have been to. The seating is adequate in in such a way that nobody should be blocking your view. The only confusing (but brilliant) thing is that you have to buy your tickets at the concession stand. There's no actual box office.

I remember hating this theatre due to the uncomfortable seats, and the mediocre screen and sound quality so much that I always drove to Oshawa. Ever since the renovations, you guys have really stepped up, and with the recent addition to reserved recliner seating I've changed my original review from a 3 star to a 4. This is my go-to theatre for smaller releases, whereas Oshawa will always be my go-to for much larger releases. All you need is an UltraAVX auditorium, and an extended menu Oshawa provides which has Poutine, Pizza, Frozen Yogurt, etc. and it would be a 5 star rating from me, well done Cineplex Bowmanville!

theatre was unfortunately really dirty. it was a goosebumps movie that we saw so i imagine there were a lot of kids but i would have thought they'd clean up bf the new crowd came in. im not being nitpicky either i'm talking i could not even put my drink in the holder cuz it was filled with spilled over pop and the seats were covered in popcorn butter. The seats are awesome tho as they recliner and i was actually able to sit with my 6 yr old niece in the same chair they're so big! honest to god, 1 small Pepsi and 1 medium popcorn came to $16.51. i was godsmacked. i looked at the receipt after and it was also because the cashier asked if i wanted melted butter i said sure! she asked if just on top or layered. i said layered is awesome ! so apparently it's $1.00 PER pump LOLOL Besides that....The theatres there are small, cozy and the chairs are really comfortable. and the tickets prices are really cheap. 1 adult and 1 6yr old was $21.00 for an evening movie. great place but cleaning would be helpful between movies...

Since the new chairs and space I enjoy going to the movies, am much more comfortable. Your drink is right beside you. The place is so clean. The staff are so helpful and friendly. If you have a problem they try to fix it right away. I suggest you have a box of tissues for your movies that make people cry, like the glasses for the 3d movies. Since I was a child I enjoy going to the movies am in my 60,s and still go and have a good time thank you.

Went for a late night show and wanted to leave before the movie started. The theatre looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in a while, there was garbage on the floor and in the cup holders, popcorn in the recliner seats and pop spilt on most of the seats. When the movie started after 15 minutes of commercials the projector was wasn’t sized up with the screen properly with the ends overhanging the screen.

Went for my husbands birthday last night. NOT HAPPY. The theater was so hot I was sweating and my clothes were wet before I left. My husbands chair was broken in an uncomfortable position after he tried to recline it. It would not move either way after that moment. We would have moved but there were 4 of us and the theater was pretty full. Seeing as it was his birthday we did not want to sit in separate seats throughout the theater. The heat was really bad and if it was not for the fact that the movie we were seeing was awesome, we would have left. Will not be going back. We will rent at home from Rogers.

It's a pretty nice theatre. The seats that recline seemed to be pretty comfortable. I did find it to be louder than necessary but not a big deal. The washrooms facilities could definitely use an upgrade however. They gave me the feeling of an 80's era hospital. All in all it's a pretty standard movie theatre with the over priced concessions and all.

This theatre does not prepare for crowds as they run out of popcorn regularly and are often short staffed as all tills are not being used at all times. There is not even enough staff to offer assistance to those who require it. They need a line for everything but popcorn. Very disappointing.

With a fairly large selection of theaters and friendly staff this place is already an excellent theater but when they added recliner seats in every auditorium this place is heads above the rest. Several restaurants within an easy walking distance makes this a one stop date night which is very nice. The only drawback is the parking isn't plentiful in the theaters own parking lot so you may have to do a short walk to get in. Best theater for the price and even when it's busy you don't feel squashed next to a stranger.

Our go to movie theatre and we live in Port Hope . Almost all of the staff are young people who are personable and polite. Prices are usually outrageous as all theatres are but that's the fault of the corporation. The place is very clean considering theatres don't generally have a good track record of cleanliness. Bathrooms are clean too! There's a small arcade, 3D viewings, and fairly comfortable recliners. My bottom wasn't even sore after the Avengers End Game movie . Scene points are used here and the kiosks are very convenient but not as convenient as the online app.

Excellent place to go watch a movie. Every single seat reclines and the room temperature is good. Since their renovations I have brought the family there at least 4 times. Getting coffee has proven to be a small problem. We went back to back Saturdays and they did not have cream, milk or sweetener. The dispenser was empty, and the staff ran around to find some but were unsuccessful. I did notice that one review mentioned the lights coming during the movies (at about the 3/4 mark). This has happened to use once, so either we were watching the same movie or a reoccurring problem has started. (For us it was Cars 3.)

On Saturday night we waited 25 minutes in the concession line and moved up three positions with six still in front of us. As our movie was starting and a possible 50 minutes to get tickets and concessions we left. We returned Sunday and were served more quickly although there was no one to take our tickets when we enter the theatre. Definitely a lack of organization throughout the weekend.

First! Tried booking tickets online sensing that it might be a busy night. Just as I was about to purchase then I realize the tickets are for BC!! 3 times I tried, 3 times I got BC!! So we drive to the theater and stand in line behind someone. The cashier serves him and then walks away!! I stand there expecting someone else to serve me but no one. I finally asked the girl wiping down her counter if I can buy tickets. Sure. Sorry that show is sold out. The doors were locked! We got there as soon as it opened! Next show 9:15...uh, no thanks

I love goin with the family, we get out of the house, watch a movie together and enjoy our time. Theres reclining seats which h is great.

I have a choice of theatres to go to this wouldn't be one of them. I went because it was the only local theatre playing the movie i wanted to see. I personally didn't enjoy the floor experience. The one in oshawa is nicer and you look down / across at the picture and i found better audio. The other thing which i'm not sure if its because its a smaller auditorium but the right and left of of the picture about a foot on both sides was cut off and kind of distracting. To top it off my popcorn didn't really taste fresh and some burnt pieces. There was no ticket taker and i think for a 9pm show on a Saturday i found it weird. It just seemed like it wasn't to the same standard as other cineplex i have been to.

Great movie theater. All seats can be reserved ahead online. The seats themselves are huge leather recliners. So much comfier than your traditional night at the movies. Lots of parking.

My wife and I had a spure of the moment decision to drive from Peterborough area to bowmanville to watch a movie somewhere different. I noticed a young employee taking extra time to explain something to an elderly couple I didn't mind waiting in line the extra minute to see the staff make sure the customer is happy. The bathrooms and lobby were quite outdated but in good shape. And the reclining chairs need I say more!... they are in great shape very comfortable and leather. We WILL Be back to this location even though it is an hour away.

Always a great experience with those recliner seats. Can't go wrong. The Bowmanville theatre definitely found their "thing" that makes driving all the way to Oshawa not worth the time or the gas.

Seemed like everyone was in training...waited 15+ mins in line waiting to order snacks n tickets. Sad thing there was only about 4 people ahead of us ????. Missed the first 10 mins

Comfortable chairs, but have an issue with the snack quality offered there. Please mind that it is not the staff to blame, but more likely management and maybe all the way up to the CEO as someone shall be able to realize that machines dispensing food items shall be cleaned and maintained regularly. It is not that obvious on the pictures taken that it is mold on the bottom of the cup with soda. Mind I have asked for this soda to be thrown away 3 times as I thought that maybe it was the accidental dirt or on the cup or what have you, but in the end each time there were some brown or black objects there and I am confident it was mold. Of cource if soda won't be transparent no one woul even notice, but it is not the point. In my opinion this shall be addressed as this is food contamination and asap!
