It appears as if the town of Cochrane does not approve of its citizens complaining about municipal services. I wrote on Facebook that I did not like that the gym part of the event center did not open til around 9 AM. I simply wrote it would be better for the working people to be able to go in the mornings to do the workout. One morning shorty after I wrote this. It happened that my yearly membership was over. So I had to renew at front desk. That Saturday morning. I was denied a renewal of my membership. The reason the front desk clerk told me was because the gym Manager is not happy that I was spreading "bad" things about them on Facebook and they did not like that apparently these public posts where causing them "Trouble" in their own words. I simply said this is fine. It's personal issue between me and the town at this point. I smiled and left the facility. I'm still kicking the idea around of opening up a human rights issue over this.

It was a blast .. water temp is great. Love that you can shower behind a curtain the only things are the hot tub not big enough and the lifeguards got us out 2 minutes before the time ended. That was pretty rude.

The event centre needs a change in management as it's mostly run as a fiefdom. Hope that new council will do a cleanup after the 2018 elections. People get barred simply for speaking their mind in social media - mind you, not derogatory comment, just non-flattering.

Awesome for residents of Cochrane. Clean, well maintained and multi use. Easily accessible, and friendly staff! Even large cities can not boast of such a complex. All ages can enjoy ALL areas. Grateful to have discovered this absolute jewel for healthy living! Kudos to Town for making such a center a part of this Town!

Did anyone stop and think about the gym? And how well it is actually run? I was born and raised here and trust me ive seen/been to other gyms in cities south of here and most dont have the dedicated and enthusiastic/friendly staff or employees that the THEC has to offer, same goes with the arena and pool and its lifeguards who happend to be my classmates a few years ago, people i know and trust. The snack bar may be a little overpriced but everyones gotta make a buck ???? i give you 5 outta 5!

The Event Centre is very family friendly. Lots of good equipment, good management, and good camaraderie while either working out in the gym, exercising in the pool and enjoying meetings and meals and entertainment in the upstairs meeting rooms.
