This is the first cineplex theater that I've been to outside of Toronto and the GTA, so I don't know how it compares to others. However, I did get a pretty good impression of this theater. It's definitely not a big theater, but not small either. Kind of have a quaint feel to it, but still feels like your standard cineplex theater. Pretty clean all around, including the entrance, theater, washroom, etc. None of that sticky floor you get from some older theaters. One thing of note, the UltraAVX theater does not have your standard front section, so I was closer to the screen than I would have liked. You might want to take that into consideration when picking your seats. But overall, a solid theater in the south end of Guelph.

HVAC issues? One minute the theater is freezing, like nose running cold, the next its boiling and im taking clothes off. Also quite dirty, napkins on the floor, all surfaces dirty. Friendly staff though.

Best theater in Guelph, however if your looking for lesser known movies that are still good but not exactly blockbusters, head to the other cineplex at the other end of town. That one also keeps some films around longer once they leave the big theater.

Got to go to the movies for the first time since Covid started. Cineplex Pergola road has easy ways to get your tickets online, they greet you at the door as precautions right now, as the only way you can get in is by reservation. You are spaced out in rows and seats. All the staff wear masks and are very friendly at helping you. Once we were in our seats we were able to remove our masks and enjoy the movie. Very impressed with how they are running things in a safe manner.

I avoid this theatre at all costs and go to the north end galaxy. Parking is almost impossible to find. Getting tickets is a pain in the ass. Not enough machines or attendants make the lines super long. Last time the attendant trying walking me through using the machine, not like they havent had them for the past 10 years.

This is a newer galaxy movie theatre with all the bells and whistles like seat select, etc. This is a good location for a movie theatre because it has so many restaurants around it for a bite to eat before or after your movie watching experience. Staff is good and clet location. Doesn't get too busy either, like for example Waterloo galaxy. Overall good, just don't live close enough, so have to settle for Guelph galaxy or the dreded busy Waterloo.

The floors to the theatre were filthy. Ordered a poutine and they gave me the poutine with waffle fries instead or regular fries. Asked them why they made it wrong and they said they've been out of regular fries the whole day. Would've been nice if they told us that before hand. They refused to give us a refund even though I didn't eat it. Will definitely NOT be coming back here.

This theater is always clean and the staff are incredibly hospitable and friendly. I'm not one to leave reviews often but wanted to take the time to recognize how welcoming and warm the staff are at the movie theater. I think teenagers seem to get a bad wrap but every teen I've spoken to that worked here was extremely positive, helpful, and had excellent customer service skills! I've had better customer service the few times I've been here compared to some restaurants. Kudos to the team!

One of my favourite movie theatres. The cinemas have stadium seating and some have been equipped with the D Box seats. Location is clean overall and they always seems to be right on schedule. There are lots of options for buying your tickets so you are not stuck in line. Like typical Cineplex locations, the food is way over priced but that's been going on for years. Bathrooms are large and seem clean overall.

Girlfriend and I had a great experience. All staff were friendly and considerate. We felt chatty and they were all happy to oblige! We couldn't find where to convert our coins to tokens for the game area, the staff member taking tickets rather than directing us to where it was, took us over to show us. Well done! That's proper customer service! Tried the nachos and was shocked that we got guacamole with it, considering all restaurants charge an extra $2 for guac or avocado. They were the tastiest treat I've had at a cinema. Definitely recommend this cinema. As for staff, keep up the great work. It certainly does not go unnoticed! Location is convenient. There was no one at the box office (closed as the sign says) and everyone has to used the automatic kiosks. We held gift passes and had a bit of a problem with the machine as to how to pay/ not pay. The seats are terrible. Back reclines but doesn't lock upright or reclined and the springs are weak. They are narrow and the leg room are non existant. Feels like in a commercial airline...a two hour flight in econo class. Kid behind always kicking. I have to spread legs wide as to avoid contact with front seat back. The lights came on too early, when there were still bits scenes playing at the end. One thing that's not the cinema's fault is all the scumbags left their cups and food wraps and pop corn garbage behind on the floor. Seriously people?!?

Nice seats but the self check kiosks always seem to be broken or out of paper with no warning. Then staff tells you "you should have used those ones" and points to the one marked kiosk for mobile check in even tho all of the units can. Just a bad experience, but it's not my fault that I want to use the kiosk. Staff interactions always seem staged or as if they're told to be oblivious to what the customer is doing and stick to the preformed sentences they are trained.

Can be a bit of a hit or miss for service. They now have it so u can order your tickets at the concession which at first i thought was awesome, but then i realized the service goes downhill the more things that are required by the concession workers. I asked several times for layered butter on my popcorn (its extra money) and i didn't get it. I saw she didn't do it and said, its supposed to be layered butter and she lied and said yeah she did. Was very strange...Just sucks because you pay $30 bucks for popcorn, pop and candy so they should make sure to get it right. On one occasion the volume was crazy loud, was very unenjoyable. This was a few months ago and i have visited many times since with no issue.

It’s the nicer cinema in Guelph. It’s a bit dated (upholstery, carpets, trim, paint, etc) and could use a detailing job. The staff are pleasant though, and I’ve never had a bad experience. It’s located close to some restaurants and other shops, so it’s in a nice area for a date night.

The overall experience is nothing out of the normal. The movie showing catalogue is on par with the mainstream media, facilitating the movie showing needs of most people. They keep the premises relatively well kept. There will always be an unavoidable popcorn spill here and there, but that's to be expected with large movie theatres. The ticket prices are more or less acceptable, however, the prices of snacks and beverages at the concession stand is outrageous. Be well prepared to turn out your wallet for a popcorn and drink.

This theatre is always where my bf and I go for date nights! Super clean and comfortable. Covid restricted seating is nice with the seats blocked off around you so others aren’t too close. They also give a larger variety of movie times and options for dbox or standard then other theatres.

I recommended this Theatre to everybody because the seats keep you relaxed for the whole movie and the food is amazing and the staff our nice and friendly. The arcade has lots of fun games and entertainment. They also have something called ULTRA AVX. ULTRA AVX is a upgraded movie experince that includes a wider and bigger screen the sound is upgraded and they also have D-BOX Seats. D-BOX is a type of seat that moves for special movies. D-Box seats are only activated for action and intense movies. They are not usally on for cartoons. The movie price is cheep witch rocks its only like $10.00 for a 3D movie and $7.00 for a regular movie and $12.00 for ULTRA AVX including 3D. Its a great theatre and you will make memories there that you will never forget.

Their "recliner" seats are terrible. You'd think since they decided to put them in, they'd leave enough room for people to actually recline the seat. Nope. If the person in front of you decides they want to recline, there goes all your leg room. Jerk in front of me was slamming their seat into my legs the whole movie.

This is a great "budget" theatre. It's not as nice and fancy as the VIP theatre but it usually has all the great little flicks that we want to see which we can't find anywhere else around Kitchener. So it's worth the drive to Guelph. The seats are pretty narrow but they are comfy and they do recline back which is a nice touch. Staff is friendly and we have always been satisfied with our visits. What I think could make this theatre a lot better (and probably get a 5* out of me) is the chairs. If they can be more spacious and comfy like in the VIP theatre (not in the VIP section, the normal section) it would really push this theatre above the rest.

Comfortable reclining seating, good food options. YoYo's frozen yogurt is allowed in and a bulk barn and dollarama are near by for snacks. Prices are what you'd expect but they do offer AVX (better audio) experiences for some movies at a premium price.

They're doing their best... unfortunately though the pre-movie ads clearly ask to take your leftovers/garbage with you in view of the pandemic, people do not and just leave then for the cleaners. Very disappointed with the staff at this location. They have been rude on multiple occasions. The second time I had to have the manager on duty correct the issue. She was extremely rude and not helpful and this resulted in us being late for the movie. Another time I saw a movie here in the summer and the theatre was so hot that people decided to leave. Not worth coming here.

As far as Galaxy cinemas go, it's good. They don't have the higher tier boxes but they have plenty of space to make up for it. You might have a hard time choosing what to see.

The theatre is a bit smaller than others which I like. The staff were friendly and quick. The theatre was clean too, no sticky floors The one think I don't like about Galaxy is that the bathrooms are all after the ticket takers. Poor design.

Tonight when I took my kids to watch sing, the manager called the cops on a mom and her kids simply because they brought water to drink during the movie. Apparently the new government mandate is that there is no eating allowed in movie theaters. But this mom with little kids simply brought water ( which is a necessity of life) obviously to avoid dehydration. I couldn't believe this was happening right infront of my kids. I couldn't believe they got kicked out of the movie simply because they had water! I am so disgusted by this manager and this theater and will NEVER come here again!!

Good sized restrooms, a variety of foods available at the concession area (not just pop corn). This location carries Tazo teas and other Starbucks beverages and I believe that there is even an arcade area for meeting friends and playing a game or two. For certain shows patrons can reserve seats if/when ordering advance tickets. There is ample parking, the area is serviced by public transit and there are a variety of stores (grocery stores, Bulk Barn, JYSK, Booster Juice) and services (eye-glasses/optometry, Orange Theory gym and banks- BMO and others) and restaurants and licensed eateries (Thai Express, State and Main) in the immediate vicinity.

There was a large planar structure upon which was projected a set of colors, seemingly meant, along with projected sounds, to convey a story. The experience was quite immersive and, despite knowing that it was trickery, was convincing. Just outside of the room holding the colored plane, there were humans offering food in exchange for currency. The exchange rate was prohibitively high and I opted not to purchase these goods. It was quite displeasing that I was disallowed from either bringing my own sustanence or purchasing sustanence for a reasonable price.

A little smaller than the one in the North end, but they do have an AVX theater where you can reserve seats in advance, which is great when new blockbusters come out. If you are adventurous and planning to watch an action movie, try out the DBox seats which rumble and moves with the movie's camera angle. It's pricey but worth trying once.

Went on a Wednesday afternoon show with my wife. The theater was completely empty which was a different experience! Typically would have to rent the theater out for that. The location was clean, and the seats were great. This location has reserved seating. The online portal didn't allow us to reserve the seats so we reserved when we got there to buy the tickets for the movie.
