I went the last day before, lockdown begin again. The staff was friendly, cashier was amazing. She helped my scene card issue that I had, very soft spoken and patient. I also got extra popcorn seasoning, felt kinda bad but I had the whole movie hall for me. Definitely hit there again after covid cooldown.

Nice movie theatre but Movie $22.00 for 2 ..That's fine but popcorn and drinks and 2 little goodie bags for two $38.00...Lol. My suggestion is to start being a little more reasonable on the prices for food. This only encourages people to sneak in goodies in their coats .If someone with a low income wanted to bring his family...it could cost them $150.00 Make it reasonable for everyone and they do keep coming back.

It's a movie theatre! What can be said. However I am disgusted in "paying" for entrance to catch a movie, only to be bombarded with endless advertisements before the show. Insulting. The cinema gets paid double for the flick. Make it stop.

Went to see Konosuba Legend of Crimson and the movie was fantastic! But they had audio issues they refused to fix. There was sound effects and songs in the movie, but NO VOICES! There was subtitles because it was an anime movie. The popcorn was great and so were the drinks. The staff attempted to fix the audio, it didn't work and told the entire packed theatre to deal with it. I ended up rewatching the movie through a pirated cam recording that had voices. Not satisfied with the service, but the movie was 10/10! They didn't even offer a refund.

For the last 5 years I always come here to watch a movie or 2 or more... Love the place, love the staff... but actually I hate the website... twice I got screw big time... the showtime on internet is not like at the theater... first time I watch on internet for Maleficent... when I got there the next day... they change the time... and the girl told me it was the same time for the movie for the whole week... that day I had to watch something else... wasn't to happy about it... and today... look on internet again... found a movie I want to watch... time was perfect... we got there... the movie wasn't even there!!! I don't know who's working on the website but come on! once I'll deal with it... but twice ?

Even though the North end Galaxy does not have the same level of technology as the south end Galaxy, the experience is significantly better. Tons of parking and shorter lines for tickets and food. Significantly better run than the other Galaxy. I avoid the south end Galaxy as much as possible and would much rather watch it at the older Galaxy because the management is better.

We bought our movie tickets and food all at the concession stand. Service was quick and the staff were all friendly. The theatre itself was clean, the seats were comfortable, and the washrooms were well maintained. I haven't been to the theatres in a while. It really is a completely different experience going out and watching movies in a theatre as opposed to watching them at home on a smaller screen. Will definitely be back :)

Nice clean location. Not very many people are staffed here. Came at dinner time and ordered a pulled pork sandwich and poutine. Both were surprisingly delicious! Concession stand staff were polite and friendly. Washrooms were spotless. When we went into the theater it clearly hadn't been cleaned in between movies so we had to select different seating. Movie was great. Lighting and volume were perfect. Staff were all kind and wished us a good night as we were leaving.

Completely brain dead staff (excluding the manager), a leaky ceiling, a movie with no audio, and bad food (even for a movie theater). I have no idea how this place hasn't caught fire by now. The staff can't take orders, let alone make the food. The poor manager had to run around fixing everyone's mistakes. Nobody there cares about the customers and it's very obvious.

A mass market cinema. It's functional but does not seem as put together as others in the chain. Management seems disorganized in terms of preparing for lines and the staff are pleasant to be sure but are just about as engaged as minimum wage will get you. Prices for snacks are what you expect at a movie theater. The seats are standard and the sound and picture are fine. Fine is a near perfect adjective. Nothing is really bad but nothing stands out as particularly great.

The new COVID protocols have actually made my viewing experience better. I love being able to choose my seat. I also enjoy knowing that everyone had their vaccination status checked before entering the theater. Always a clean and friendly environment! Seats could use some updating, a little cramped and not as comfy as some of the other theaters around.

One of two movie theaters in Guelph, this is the newer one. Often the parking lot is packed so you may want to arrive early if you're going to go. Theater has a nice standard layout and offers 3D as well as standard movies. They also have the self checkout booths which makes it easy to skip the line. If you're the type who likes popcorn with your movie, it's probably more cost effective to grab one of the movie passes from the Costco which bundles it.

Limited staff. Expensive. $50 just to get a family of four into the theatre to see a feature BEFORE concessions. No front of house staff in the ticketing area, and no signage telling people with passes/promotion coupons where to get tickets. Only two staff manning the whole concession area. C'mon folks, this ain't Hockey Night in Canada! No need to be so stingy with staff and expensive! It's cheap, pre-recorded entertainment, for goodness sake!

The facility was clean. We went in early to get our tickets but there was no one around to help us. The entire Lobby and hallway were absent of any employees whatsoever. We had to go to the back and yell for someone to come and help us. The manager came out and was Unapologetic and said everyone was on break in between movies. When we came back for the movie we went to the concession stand to get a t and once again we had to yell for someone to help us. It's a good thing the movie was good! You get two stars because it's clean.

Always empty when we go see movies on weeknights, but was a bit surprised the theatre only opened 30 minutes before our showtime. Staff are usually friendly and welcoming, but I have encountered a few disgruntled workers. It's always been clean and well-stocked when we've visited, so no complaints there!

We have been going here since it opened. It offered an entertaining destination for our teenager when he was growing up and a great mix of theatre spaces and technology to view blockbuster movies and create some good memories. It is pretty accessable to those in the north end of Guelph and is even serviced with a bus from the University campus.

Should of not take out yogen fruz. Now I have to drive kitchener mall and sometimes they don't have the flavors I want. Also stop charging for butter and more for layered. I love going to watch movies on the big screen. Always have. It's my daughter's birthday today and she wanted to see a movie. Great idea. My family of four and my mother in law went. We had a great time. But the prices of popcorn is getting a little ridiculous. We spent $93 on concessions. That was two kids combos and three large popcorns combos. A lot yes. It was a special day so we went all out. But $93 for that?? My youngest daughter then had to go to the bathroom during the movie. I had finished my drink so I took her and brought my empty cup. As she was doing her thing I asked for a refill. I was told it would be $6+! I just gave you $93... how do you not give free refills? If I went to restaurant and spent that money they would fill my cup endlessly. I realize these companies took a hit this past year and a bit but.... so did we. Treat your paying customers better than that.

As good as can be aside from the gift card reader not providing feedback when the card wasn't worth more than the total it simply said something generic implying that the card was empty instead of subtracting the balance of the card from the total. that and $5 bottles of cola from the vending machine. I know the costs have to go up to supplement a lack of viewers but atleast least try and get it somewhere that i can't easily compare to the gas station next door

Unpleasant experience from service to entertainment. The fat oily cashier really hated his job and it showed in his lazy demeanor. Food was old, cold and overcooked. Theatre was cold, floors sticky, seats stiff. After pre-show trainers, the screen blacked out for 5 minutes. Even the newly designed lobby is poorly laid out. Overall a disaster visit and I will not be going to this theatre again. I highly recommend the Waterloo Cineplex.

My partner and I used to go to the cinema fairly regularly, but have stopped going due to COVID-19. This weekend, we ordered a popcorn and movie rental combo. The employees really went the extra mile with our order and we both had a wonderful time! Considering what we received per person, this was an excellent bargain. Galaxy Cinemas have an amazing staff. We went to the showing of Madama Butterfly. Unfortunately an error had been made and the opera didn't start until 1 PM and not noon as had beene posted. Unfortunately I could not stay until the end due to the fact that I had to catch the last bus out of Guelph to London. I went there to get a early ticket for tonight, 2 ladies were trying to open the door and told that they don't know how to unlock the door. I went inside to buy the ticket , no one helping, they said it's self service, but where is the sign saying this? I asked for help and she said go to the popcorn section, he called me to the counter and said j have these combos , I informed him that I want the ticket for Venum, didn't ask for what time. When I told him that I want it for later today he got upset. Then I asked can I see the seats available he said there is no cinema that you can choose the seats!!!!!! Seriously? I said I'm a regular customer( fortunately not this location) and i always choose mg seats and he said it's not possible. Who really manage this location ?

They are slowly eliminating staff with automated ticket sales. I'm an old union guy so I never like to see that.The automation requires debit or credit cards,which for one slows down the process because nothing is as fast as cash and number two it puts people like me at a disadvantage who don't use plastic.

After checking website, our movie was to be showing Tuesday Sept 25 at 9 pm in Guelph and 9:40 in Orangeville. We drove from Mount Forest to Guelph only to find out the website was wrong and the movie was not playing. We asked and showed an attendant at the food booth my phone with the website and all we were told was "well that's wrong, we aren't playing The House With the Clock in the Wall" so we drove there for nothing because the next movie didn't start till 10pm

I visited for a Cineplex Event which was the extended edition of the Lord of the Rings Trilogy. It was well organized and sound/picture quality was outstanding. I was in auditorium 3 which does not have recliner seats but the seats were comfortable enough. The only thing is that they do have arm rests that could be tight if you are a bigger person. The theatre itself is nicely designed and has some of the early 2000s design elements which was a fun experience. It is clean and bathrooms well maintained.

Went to see Aquaman - which was only available in 3d in the evening. I asked the attendant if they'd changed their projection bulb lately, (because I'd been to some shows only in 3d where they were lax on maintenance - why I don't usually go for 3D) and he looked at me like I was a Martian. Sure enough, when the show started, the projector was so weak that the film was so dark, that we could barely make out what was on the screen. If people in the future ever ask why they stopped making 3d films ever, I'll always add that it didn't help that Cineplex Odeon was too cheap to buy a new bulb for their projector. On top of all this, the theatre was feezing cold. I could understand it if it was 30 below outside, but no, it was 2 degrees out. Ruined the whole evening. They totally stole my 14 dollars. Never going there again.

Put our jackets down in our seats 20 minutes to showing for 9:30PM while we got our popcorn and drinks. Everyone behind the counter were gossiping about and not paying attention to customers. No one at the door to check our vaccine status so when we went to the counter, they told us to go back to the non existent teller to get our status checked… by the time we got back to our seats, we walked in and they were cleaning the theatre super late, and had thrown our jackets in the middle of the theatre floor in with all the trash. If it was actually forgotten, I’d hate to think they’d just throw them out like they had them tossed on the floor. Disgusting. Not impressed at all since walking in the door.

Coming from a smaller city, this Galaxy Cinemas was refreshing to see. It has a larger and better selection at a given time than the smaller ones, and while some of the theatres were surprisingly small, it's better to have a small venue than no venue at all.

At this cinema you can purchase your tickets and concession items at the concession counter, decreasing wait times and increasing convenience. There is a tea bar, dessert bar, games/arcade area and an Outtakes (an area where you can get fries and other items that aren't just popcorn). In the condiments area patrons can apply their own butter flavour topping to popcorn and this theatre also hosts special screening events. Spatially the theatre is accessible and there is also tons of parking. We frequent this theatre because it is close to our home in the North end of Guelph and because it has 3D screens.

There were many seats arranged facing a large, flat, white surface. In addition, light was projected onto that surface in intricate patterns so as to resemble sights normally observed by humans. It seemed to be in an attempt to create an illustration that events were occurring in front of those intended to sit in the seats. The illusion was further enhance by accompanying sounds. It was not perfect, however. For one thing, they failed to capture distances from the viewer accurately. For another, the events did not respect the regularities usually observed, for example, they portrayed a human breathing and even talking under water. I was not fooled by their illusions, but found them quite amusing and entertaining. I would recommend this experience. I should perhaps mention the most implausible illusion that they tried to portray, which almost ruined the experience for me: the prices that they implied that people would pay for edible items before adjourning to the aforementioned seats.
