First visit. We missed Star Wars in the big theatres. Theatre was clean and the price was right, but the theatre was freezing. I am guessing about 5 °C. When I went out to ask if there could be more heat, all I got was "there is a heating problem in theatre 5." No sorry or would you like a refund for another day. Will never go back!

Great place for the family to see a movie. For instance, today there are 10 titles rotating through 6 screens from 11 am almost to midnight. And the shows are 5 or 6 dollars depending when during the day. No trailers, just the movie you paid for. They don't have the latest tech or facilities but you don't pay through the nose either. Place is clean and well kept. And, they don't advertise it but they take cash, direct payment and maybe credit. Where there's an Interac handheld usually it will take both debit and credit cards.

The movie theatre is small and mostly shows second run pictures, but the movies shown and the staff are available in both English and French, and the movies really are $5. If you care about having a 3d or IMAX experience, this isn't for you, but I have gone several times and will likely keep going back.

So this theater should be taken as what it is: the cheapy theater to see movies in if you're not into paying the main theater prices. But with that said, I personally have a soft spot in my heart for it. I completely missed it the first time I went there with my brother for his group. It sort of blends in with the brick building around it. But when I got inside I was greeted with a classic theater staircase, the walls leading up to it lined with posters. Upstairs was a fairly straightforward lobby with a handful of theaters. The popcorn is definitely one of the best of the cheapy theaters. The place has seen better days, but is clean and comfortable. The staff are friendly. And the ticket prices are hard to beat, especially on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. This is not a fancy place, but has that charm of hidden gem that makes you want to support it when you're going out the see a movie.

For the price, we can't really complain. It's a very old theater with an outdated look, rundown equipment and food machines. The popcorn is pretty dry yet has flavor, but the soda has a bizarre, rusty taste to it which is worrying since the fountain machines seem very old. The theaters themselves host a medium sized screen, smaller than your usual theater, and the chairs are very old and not so comfortable. But as stated, for the price there is no complaining. You could watch a movie with everything needed for about 10-15$. Great place for a quick movie on a whim, but not for the movie experience itself.

Sure, it's an old theatre and it has seen better days, but the screens are large and the sound is good. 6 people, 3 x-large popcorn and 3 large drinks for $60. You simply cannot beat the value. Ciné-Starz Orléans makes for an inexpensive date to the movies for $5/person. We were there near the end of January and the theater was borderline frigid. All of us kept our coats on and those of us with hats even put them back on mid movie. We half-joked after the movie we had to go outside to warm up.

They play a bunch of French movies. It's great for kids. For the price of $5 per person, it is a great deal. $6 for a kids combo of drink, popcorn and candy. The have refurbished the seats and they are much more comfortable. The aisles are quite "cozy" so some planning is required. If you require additional assistance to go upstairs, you will have to get someone from upstairs to send the elevator.

Great place for 2nd run movies. Took the family here, it was pretty good. Its an older theater. It doesnt have dolby digital surround sound, but its not bad. For a family of 6 we bought tickets, 2 lg popcorn, and slushies for everyone for 60.00. Pretty tough to beat now a days.

I really enjoy this little theater in the heart of Orleans. Movies are always inexpensive, no gouging done here. Ticket prices are almost always $5.00. you can easily have a date night here without breaking the bank. A movie for two with the most expensive popcorn combo ran me less than $25 which is the cost of two GA passes at one of the bigger theaters

Nice theatre! Old school-style seating was very enjoyable. Volume wasn't crazy loud, great experience over all. The only minor draw back was that they didn't let you in the theater until 5 minutes before show time which can be a little problematic with young kids (we arrived early so we could get settled in before the show).

Long line ups due to one line for both tickets and food. Film often starts late, even requiring patrons to ask them to start the movie. House lights often come on too soon, before the end of the movie. They say you get what you pay for, but Rainbow does a much better job for the same price.

Really neat theater. I had no idea it existed until tonight. Looks and feels like it was built to resemble an 80's cinema. Ticket and concession prices were great. $6 for tickets on a Friday night. Signs outside say tickets Monday - Wednesday and Thursday - Sunday before 6pm are $5. The lobby was pretty bland. They had an air hockey table and some massage chairs, which i guess is their version of an arcade. Nowhere to sit and nothing to do while you wait for your movie. I ended up walking around the building for the half hour before my movie started. The theaters left a lot to be desired. There is a high seating density for such a small room. Less space than most theaters, and pretty much every theater in Ottawa has switched to recliner seats by now, so it was a strange feeling sitting shoulder to shoulder with the people around me. I didn't know what to do with my arms the whole time. The arm rest were very short, and the cup holder got in the way. The theater was pretty warm. It got uncomfortable about an hour in. The screen was up to par with most regular format theaters, but the sound system was poor. Not very immersive. You dont feel the theater shaking during action sequences, no rumbling from massive sounds. 2 dimensional. The outside of the building could definitely use some work. The dimly lit hallway leading to the stairs makes it appear as if it's closed. The area is convenient. Its right beside the Orleans shopping mall, and there a few restaurants around. Lots of parking, and easily accessable by public transportation. Over all, this was a 3 / 5 experience. I wouldn't say it was "good", but it wasn't bad either. For the price your paying, its a great deal. For some people, going to the movies is all about the experience. Comfort and entertainment are critical when it comes to getting people off streaming and to the theaters. I would come back again in a desperate scenario, like when i wait too long to see a movie at my regular theater, and Cine Starz is the only one close by still playing it.

Second run theater to see those must see movies Iike Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom on big screen but without big price. Two adult admissions plus large popcorn, two drinks and a small candy was only $23.00. However, seating was not major league comfy nor was screen crisp clear. That said, for a couple of hours entertainment - worth the sacrifice.

Great price, but not ideal for young children. Ours are 6 and 8, and they could not see the screen unless they sat in the front third of the room. This had never happened to us - the theatre does look old. We tried the booster seats, but they would not have been able to rest their back on their seat. We ended up choosing corner seats on the sides of the room.

Old theatre running few weeks old movies for only 5 bucks. Nice folks coming here, not too crowded. But if you're younger and/or glitter, neon lights and 3d glasses are a must for you, I'd suggest to find the extra 8-12 bucks and go to a modern place. PS: popcorn is decent quality as well.

A great late run cinema. I come here to catch the movies I want to see but don't want to pay big theatre chain prices. I've found the staff to be super friendly. As a bonus the concessions are fairly priced so I can buy each kid their own popcorn. Its a little difficult to find. Look for the smallish sign over the entrance.

Excellent theatre!! Large and spacious theatre with good seating. The sound was good and what was better is that the sound from adjacent theatres is insulated so you don't hear it. There are massaging chairs and video games for when get to the theatre early. Keeping occupied isn't hard. The only downside is the stairs to get to the theatre. Still for the price an excellent choice you won't regret!

absolutely the MOST HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE in my life !!! this place cannot belong to canada ! sooo dirty ...no safety measurement...to start with u r shocked with the apperence of the 1st floor and then u realise that there is no elevator ...so with trolly and kids good luck ..once u make it to the stairs ...there is bunch of kids in the counter ...runing the show ...they take it as if it a fun ...and they r soo much angry as most of the teangers .ourmovie is supposed to starts at 1 and until 12 55there e was total darkness in the theater...intil a gentleman with his special needs boy asks thenm to put the light on ..and rhey were not happy ...my gorl was 4 so she needs a booster..they were in dispute if there was a higher one or not ...ot s 2 degree outside and it was cold inside ..toilettes are messy with no soap..dont go tgere even if it s free

I almost want to say how terrible this place is to keep others away. This is a theater for those that are done with the overkill, the oversized, and overpriced massive theaters of late. You won't find seats that recline, no one will serve you a beer. But you won't have to take out a third mortgage to get popcorn and a drink. I won't post prices, but you'll be happy. Second thought, I'm happy to share this. Places like this need the support to stay open. Best of all, there is an arcade game of Dragons Lair to play!!!

Came to this theatre when I was a little kid. The plastic seats were updated but the feel is still the same. Cannot go wrong with 5-6$ movies. They may come out a few months after original release but if you missed something big or want to catch that indie flick you missed, a great choice.

A good place to see movies at a great price. It is never too crowded. A lot of times movies will play there while still in the main theatres, just start a couple of weeks later. The place is still well maintained and the sound and picture quality is good. They also show french versions of some movies. Tickets are sold at the concession stand so leave yourself enough time to go before the movie starts.

Love this spot as it is super close to home for me and I can pop in for a quick afternoon flick with my daughter. Price is hard to beat and really, the location and atmosphere are perfect. Little to no rowdy crowds to deal with, no obnoxious people ton contend with and staff is always friendly.

It's old but wonderfully relaxed and perfect for a rainy day. Only gave four stars as we found the claw/stuffy catch machine was broken but still accepting coins from children. Likely just been sitting there too long. We still enjoyed our visit and will be back.

One of the cheapest places where you can watch movies in Ottawa ($5). The place is almost always deserted and shows for an audience of barely 1-3 people is not uncommon. Seats are comfortable but the lobby has been neglected. Value for money for sure.

Good value. Admission is always 5$ and snack prices are reasonable. This is an older theatre with smaller screens and "flat" seating (i.e. not stadium style). And the movies are not new. However they do show some independent films.
