I am one of the employee's myself and started this week. First of all, I would like to tell you about our promotion. Buy $30 in gift cars, get $30 worth in coupons. Secondly, I would like to inform the people that as much as it is rundown, we work hard to make sure that is clean and you get to your movie on time. Thirdly, we are a movie theater 5 hours away from any other large city's so one should expect things a little pricy. Lastly, we are expecting a new theater this coming year which, along with our customer service, will be exceptional! We appreciate your business over the years and look forward to our new customers.

*Ticketing: "Reserved Seating". Try booking tickets online, it will save you line-ups and a higher chance of getting a better seat. The earlier, the better. They have deals on specific days, Im not sure if you have to buy the tickets upfront or deals apply online. Very convenient for those late workers who still wants to catch a movie after work. *Food: When did food at a cinema got cheap? "Outside food is NOT allowed inside the cinema", be creative. Otherwise prepare to line-up and your arm. Food quality is ok, by that I mean there's room for improvement. *ATOM: For those unaware, Atom is an app that allows you to buy tickets and food in one shot. They also have a SEPERATE line-up at the cinema so Im hoping this should cut those crazy wait times. *Movie Experience: Seats are very comfy, audio is amazing! Reclining seats are awesome! Arm rests can be lifted so the whole family can cuddle. Never do I have to worry about a taller person seating infront of me and blocking the screen. *Parking: Parking is very limited. Prepare to go in circles to find parking and walk for a bit. *Appreciate: For all the people complaining. Everytime you think about complaining, just think of the old cinema in Downtown... Yeah! I know right! This is place isn't so bad after all. Its a beautiful cinema thats just starting up, give it time to improve. ????

The concession counter has vert slow service and when you order a pretzel dog or pretzel, it takes forever. At first, the cinema was super clean but now, the cleanliness of it has deteriorate. The floors are sticky and the seats are a bit sticky. Pro: new and better movie theater than the old one Con: slow service and unclean facility.

Great place for entertainment. Love the reclining and spacious seat. Very neat and clean. Good size screen. Popcorns are good. Plenty of washrooms, no need to wait. Washrooms are very clean with accessories. Price is reasonable. Very friendly staffs. There are parking spots including para parking. Location is very good. Other stores are also available near by. Highly recommend others to try this movie theatre.

The only movie theatre in McMurray with dingy gross washrooms, tiny theaters, and staff that take 10+ minutes with each customer while only having two tills open. Coming here is the worst movie experience and unfortunately the only movie experience in town..... I wish management would step up, maybe do some renos and make the theatre more bearable to be in.

Expensive, small screens on most theatres, mediocre audio at best, often full of terrible movies rarely showing anything but the widest releases, expensive concessions... more expensive than premium VIP theaters in most cities while offering a lower quality viewing experience than third rate dollar theaters. Long concession lines that you are now required to wait in because there are no other places to buy tickets. Poorly designed building resembling a converted warehouse despite the fact that it was purpose built. Exit signs glow across edge of some screens. Acoustics not considered. Seating of acceptable quality although some theatres seem to have very limited slope, rear of theaters should be at higher elevation. Parking can be difficult on busy nights. The old Fort Theatre had 10x the character, this place is ugly and aging quickly. One major positive is that it is now the only theatre in town so you can take solace in the fact that you never had any option in the first place. They seem to be well aware of this fact. Popcorn is acceptable quality when available, no other concessions here aside from packaged candy and sodas. If you go Tuesday for cheap night you may be able to convince yourself that you are receiving fair value, provided you arrive hydrated and nourished. I have spent a fortune here over the years so I will concede that it is still better than watching at home, unless you have a luxurious home theater.

I have always been fan of Cineplex.. landmarks has always been crowdy..especially during holidays and good movie release..but I dnt like one thing that we had booked tickets online still we had to be in line to show them..what's the point..I mean they should hve some machine that we can just scan n take our tickets and go..

We arrived to watch Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, waited 45 in the theatre only to hear they forgot to press play and then announced technical difficulties. They reimbursed us with a free admission ticket. Would’ve been cooler if we got two per person for the wasted time. Manager went and hid away.....

Great theatre, terrible management! Love the theatre and the seats but the wait times are brutal which ruins the whole experience. I waited 30 mins in the dedicated snack line which caused us to miss 10 mins of the movie!! The workers are painful to watch moving so slowly and they don't even have to fill the drinks! Why not have a dedicated popcorn person who has all the popcorn ready to go when the lineup is 70 people long! Hope they can improve on this.

Great theatre but google has to remove the bad reviews attached to this one from their old location. Got too many bad reviews for no reason. They were swamped the first few weeks and people judged them on the instead of the improvements from the old theatre. Great place to go.

First time there and was disappointed with the long wait for food...not sure if they were short staffed, but 3 popcorn machines and only one was going...also the pop area was not being kept clean and I had to ask for a lid as the medium size kids were all gone...was very impressed with the seating

Awesome! Seats are super comfy, bonus points for the liftable armrest in the middle, cuddle time abounds. They're doing a good job of keeping it clean too. Prices are expensive, I can only imagine the cost if you're bringing several kids. Overall nice, attractive layout. Finally a decent movie theatre in this town. Looks like something you'd see in Edmonton. Also nice to have many screens, instead of only the few the old theatre had.

We don't have any other option in Fort McMurray. The theater is run down and old, in desperate need of a face lift. The rooms are super small and it can feel dirty when it's crowded. They do have good nachos and popcorn

Okay, the majority of negative reviews are about the staff being slow and or inexperienced, I haven’t read anything negative about the fresh yummy popcorn, or about how comfy the seats are or about how big and clear the screens are, or hey how about how your feet don't stick to the floor like they did at the old downtown theatre. I laughed at a persons negative review on here that said, if there was another theatre in town hed go there instead, O how I wish the down town theatre was still open so he could experience that old gem. Look here ppl, the theatre is still very new and as a result the staff are still new and learning, oh and please point out a theatre anywhere on planet earth where the staff are perfect, thanks. Oh wait theres more, theres a few negative comments about how ppl have missed part of their movie due to long lineups, and therefore have left a negative review because of that fact, please review the following. Brand new awesome movie(s) that a lot of ppl want to see + lots of people + new theatre which means new staff + only theatre in town + plus new shiny theatre that doesn’t feel like youll get an STD from sitting in the seats = A lot more people that actually want to go because its new and clean and enjoyable. Lets carry the one and we have a grand total = SHOW UP EARLIER (or use atom) if you want popcorn and drinks. Honestly ppl it’s simply math. People of Fort McMurray please ignore the 3.5 star rating this place currently has, I for one am very satisfied that we have a shiny new theatre that still has the new theatre smell. Went to the cinema sat next to a baby prostitute. The screens were way, way too big, the theatre was way to clean, and the staff were so great and accommodating that I wish all towns were as fabulous as Fort McMurray. Also the floors were not sticky what so ever. All in all, great establishment, except for that one guy... you know who you are ;)

Definitely an upgrade from the theater we had years before. Food line goes fairly quick, prices are typical theater prices YET FREE refills on large popcorns! Lots of washrooms. Seats fold back so you can relax and enjoy vthe movie while being very comfortable. Great place to unwind and have a laugh with Friends and family ????

Overpriced. Never clean. Bathrooms are a mess. When I saw Star Wars in 3D, they played the movie for 25 minutes without the 3D, then restarted it in 3D, meaning I sat there for almost 3 hours. The area of town is sketchy, too, with lots of vagrants and drunk/high people around. Lock your vehicles if you go and leave nothing visible.

Comfortable reclining seats, lots of space between isles and pre-selecting a seat is great option. As for conserving, If you don’t like “fake” butter on your popcorn, just ask for the real stuff they put on behind the counter :)

New facility is very nice! Chairs were very comfortable. Purchased tickets and food with the Atom app and service was quick. You stand in a different line if you use that option. Chairs were very comfortable lots of space to walk around without people having to move. Also dont have to worry about tall people sitting in front of you as each row is evaluated enough that no ones head would be in the way. Only thing I would have to say is entrance area of the facility needs to be kept cleaner (more sweeping and mopping).

Theater and seating is great!!! Line up for snacks is 20min long, always sold out of prezel products and the butter for popcorn may as well just be pure cooking oil (no flavor) gross. Couldnt even eat 3 cups of popcorn!

Great reclining seats and good sized screens. Good food items on the menu but the nachos are not the best quality. However, The cheese and jalapeno are great tasting. Both Kids and adults love the option to fill up drinks based on their preferences. Overall you wont be disappointed to take your family and friends here. ????????

Currently the only place in town to watch movies, the bathrooms look worse than a dive bar, the lineups for concession are ridiculous, the movie screens are worn & scratched up, sound system sucks (usually too low) & they don't even update the billboards out front... hopefully the new Landmark they're building is under different management! ????????????

This is an awesome place to go and watch movies in Fort McMurray, I think it's the only one now as the other closed. The theater is brand new, with every seat being a recliner seat and showing the latest movies with a variety of times and formats. The staff here was rude to a customer and I didn't like that, and they wernt even apologetic, that is why I rated so low. The facilities are great. Being that this is a new cinema I thought they would have AVX as well, but maybe AVX is in Cineplex only.

If you built a half decent movie theater on the north side of town. With some decent ticket prices. (ie: less than 10 a ticket) you'd take all the business and landmark would go out of business.

First time. Watching Crimes of Grindewald Nice seats. Show started 10 minutes late. Then the 3D didn't work for 5 minutes We noticed the side lights on. They stayed on half way through the movie. Crappy first experience. They did give us a free movie at the end, so they made up for it.

When I came in with my fellow dad, the line up wasn’t that good so I thanked god that the had chairs and a lots of tables with an outlet perfect to charge my phone! Th second part was the food, the popcorn tasted good without the real butter for almost 1 dollar per charge but the “fake” butter looked good and tastes really good also free and I had to refill that popcorn because it tasted super good! Thumbs up to landmarks cinemas! Without you guys in fort Mac we could had been bored! The third part that what I was looking for the whole time, THE CINEMA! I got shocked because the screen looks like 3D and it Was a wide screen show that I could se everything! The sound was totally worth the scale! So cool graphics in the movie and they are clean bathrooms and they weren’t any messy tissues on the floor and the soap is always full and working blow dry for ur hands! I loves this cinema so much and this is just like the ones in Edmonton and Calgary too! Thanks for the new cinema in this city! I just loved it! 5 star rate and really cool location! Keep up the good work! XD

Great app, comfy seats. Appalling service. No point in ordering ahead, since there isn't enough staff to make sure your food is actually ready when you arrive. And the App order line takes longer than waiting in the normal line, again because there isn't enough staff. Ended up missing my movie, not getting the food I paid for, sitting at the counter for 10 minutes without a response, BECAUSE THERE ISN'T ENOUGH STAFF. Left in frustration 5 times since I've moved to Fort Mac four months ago. Get it together landmark. There's a reason Cineplex is sooooo much more popular.

Had to change seats and took 5 different employees before they could figure out how. Get to the seats and they are littered with popcorn and candy. The popcorn was stale and soggy. The seats are the only thing going for this theatre. I don’t mind paying their ridiculous prices as long as the experience is up to par. I wouldn’t go back if there was another theatre in town.

I can't wait for Landmark to get their new theater and destroy this monstrosity. This is NOT what a movie goers experience should be. The staff is nice. Aside from that, the food choices are extremely limited, and I use the term "food" lightly. Last time I went the nacho cheese literally smelled like vomit. Literally... stunk... like... vomit. Garbaged, waste of like $18 because we know the fountain pop that comes with it is not worth that much. Seats start getting really uncomfortable by the time the credits start; which last time was 15 minutes after the movie start time. This is also the only place in town where I make sure to bring an extra layer of clothes because it inevitably will be uncomfortably cold in the theater even for someone like myself that usually runs hot. Now, I'm probably going back again tonight for the 50th time because I like movies apparently more than I like food, atmosphere, or my money... because where else can I see a movie in town?

Line ups are a little long - you can buy food on the Atom app but not on the Landmark website. Service available falls between a regular theatre and a Cinpelex VIP as there are spacious recliners but limited food selection and no seat/liquor service.

the place is absolute garbage, it legitimately stinks. My most recent beef, the movies they are playing are out on Dvd.... like get some new movies. Tupacs movie comes out Friday.... guess what you guys aren't screening it...The staff is overworked, two registers usually open... the food is old and stale, and usually they sell out of things like seasoning, nachos, salsa... basically anything that you'd enjoy... more than likely due to management bleeding the place dry of money and never sinking a dime back into the place(evident from looking at the theatre... looks like it fell out of 1995. Id rather drive the 4 hrs to edmonton to catch a movie then step foot in the place... oh and if you need to call them and ask a question don't bother you won't get through.... can't wait until the new cinema is open up in timberlea... cant wait to watch you go out of business.

The seats and theatres themselves are awesome. The lineup for concessions is CRAZY. We were in line for over 30 minutes. They had a lineup to the door and only 2 people working the counter. I recommend getting the atom app. Then you can prepay everything & there's a seperate line.

The place is on the smaller size. I kind of expected a theater a bit bigger and in better shape than this one in a city of almost 70k people. I was also suprised that they let in someone with a baby for the movie. It smell odd as well. Unless this place steps up its game; the second a Cineplex opens up they'll be out of business.

Beautiful theatre, great spacious chairs, serious lack of parking, painfully slow staff, bland popcorn, pop was a gross concoction of multiple pops (probably because of the lack of cleanliness), no lids for drinks, and poor soundproofing (could hear our movie playing in the next theatre over). Came 30 min early to the show and ended up waiting almost an hour for food while staff had 3 tills open and no interest in picking up the pace or jumping on another till. Not short staff either, they were walking around looking bored or socializing on the floor and in the back. Wish I knew about ordering food on the app before I bought tickets on their website. Waste of money

I am loving this new location, and the incredibly comfortable seats! It makes it so much easier to sit through a whole movie despite chronic back pain. I also liked that the seats could be turned into loveseats, making it easier for me to lean on my fiancé's shoulder or hold hands and definitely share snacks! I am more likely to want to see a movie in theatres at this theatre, because of the seats that make it possible for me to sit with less pain for longer.

It was an 1.5 hour wait for snacks for a movie last night. Arrived 45 minutes before movie would even start and still waited another 45 minutes. Had to sent the kids in the grab seats. Need MORE people to work or beware of too many movies on at the same time if you dont have the staff.

Simply put, the best theatre I've ever been in. There never seems to be a long line up, even though the theatre is full. Every seat in the house is a good seat. C'mon, a leather power recliner with cupholder arm rests for every seat, and an isle that says go ahead lie down, I still have plenty of room to walk by. Many people I see, bring their blanket and wear jammies. Seriously, the best theatre I've ever been in.

Nice new theatre but bad experience. We had booked 3 tickets in a row only to have two ridiculous parents book the two seats on the outside of ours and let their 3 innocent kids steal our seats. When asked kindly to move the parents rudely insisted they were their seats but wouldn't show proof of tickets. Theatre was full with only single seats scattered throughout so we went for a full refund in which they went good for if the kids weren't in the ages of 5-7 we could have had management force them to move. On the plus side my friend got to eat his entire pizza and returned the empty box, they also accepted return of the popcorn and pop we purchased for the movie.

The seats are very comfortable recliners! Concession is average in both price and quality to any other theater. Sound quality could be better (can hear movies playing in adjacent theaters during quiet points in your movie). Overall it is a worthwhile experience!!

Part of me wants to love this theatre, there's alot to enjoy, but the concession is awful. They are SO slow. The employees all move so painfully slowly, lethargically sauntering over to put together an order meanwhile everyone in line is missing their movie.

I really loved the reclining seats, they are even more comfortable than the VIP theatre in Edmonton. Excellent price for movie tickets given the quality of the theatre. Four stars because the coke tasted awful, and the popcorn wasn’t the best. As well, the parking lot was completely full leading to many people parking in places that were not parking spots. The experience was not helped by the fact that two people were already sitting in our reserved seats when we arrived, and when we asked them to move they claimed they had booked the same seats. They eventually left the theatre entirely, so I’m not sure what was going on.

Also, wish they had an option for healthier snacks. I know it's a theatre and they often just have junk but I can't even have plain popcorn, it's already loaded with a cup of salt

On one of the hottest days of the season Ice Cream and Frozen yogurt machine don't work, such a nice movie theater but as usual nothing works properly or the way is intended to be and obviously fountain drinks not available for sanitary reasons ( I guess) so they rip you off charging $4.5 for a water bottle or bottled drink, served at room temperature, unbelievable, and this is the way they want ppl to return to the movies? Apparently they still have the same management from the previous dumpster from downtown.

Went to the only showing of Rush and the showing did not start. Manager was not to be found for 45 minutes and staff on front counter wasn't able to provide any information. One of the front counter staff was trying to help us out but as the manager was missing could give us an update. That front counter gentleman was great to deal with and helpful. Once the manager showed up was very defensive and told us that they were on hold with tech support an hour later. Told us that complaining to the manager wouldn't help as it would just delay things further. It was well over an hour before he came in to announce to the theater that the show would not start. The front staff was great but that manager should not be in his position. Unable to deal with people and could not offer the proper assistance. Very upset that I missed the one time only Rush show. Was only offered a refund for tix and given one free admission. Wasted 45 bucks on popcorn and treats to eat while looking at a blank screen with no information given.

New facility is great. Big comfy chairs, lots of space, clear and easy path to walk in front of chairs, nice wide aisles. Seats have electronic recline, very nice. Great sound and nice picture. Concessions were great as well although the Pretzel maker needs to be more fresh, both times were stale, I asked for fresh each time, they have no trouble making you a fresh pretzel or bites. Tickets were a breeze online and prices are fair, all in all great experience.

Open with a well thought out distancing and cleaning plan in place. They spray down the theaters between each use; the method and explanation are shown in the previews and seems quite good. We had a great movie experience. I would feel really comfortable visiting again.

We watched a 3D movie there and the projector wasn't working for almost half of the movie. They didn't restart the movie once they got it fixed and didn't offer a refund to anyone.

This theatre has the reclining seats. I like that feature honestly, and with the arm rest that you can move so it becomes a large love seat perfect for a couple to sit close together and watch a movie together. The bathrooms are large with a lot of stalls and always clean. It has the self serve pop machine that you can mix in various flavors like vanilla, lemon, strawberry, etc flavors into your specific pop like coke, sprite, cream soda, etc. The parking lots is fair size but as more of the surrounding buildings and store are opening up it is definitely filling up. You can order tickets in person, in the front doors online when you arrive, or online in advance. There's also the option of pre-order your drinks and snacks which is a great feature to save time and skip the regular line which is large at times and completely empty at other times.

Horrible theater, if I want to see a movie in a theater I go to Calhary or Edmonton. It smells, it's outdated, antiquated technology, and there is nothing that makes me want to go downtown to see a movie. I dearly wanted to see the new Star Wars movie but I refused to taint my movie going experience at that establishment. I choose to NOT support them with my money. I vote with my wallet. Landmark Theaters here in Fort McMurray is just another example of how some local businesses thrive on gouging consumers. I would love to see Cineplex come in here and destroy them.

They didn't have functioning drink machines (no coke zero/water was carbonated) , no toilet paper in bathroom stalls, The floor was sticky in the male washrooms. Unacceptable for the reopening you would think they would have everything in check. No accommodation to health conscious individuals. Go to Edmonton if you want a proper movie experience.

I see improvements all the time at this theatre. Things like more staff at the counters to reduce lineups and overall cleanliness of the theatre. Keep up the great work. I'm excited about the new theatre been built too.

So clean! We got lucky and went to a weekday afternoon show and had the luxury of being the only ones! Super comfy chairs and by far the best popcorn I've had at a cinema!

Long lines, over priced low quality food, uncomfortable seats and nasty bathrooms. Just a heads up if you do decide to watch a movie. Get there an hour early so you can get popcorn and a seat in time for the movie. And for new movies go to the matinee otherwise you're going to hate your life trying to get tickets, food and a decent seat.

love the reclining chairs & everything but its FREEZING. I dont understand why they have the AC on in the winter. you can feel freezing wind coming from the ceiling. and they sell $20 blankets.... like really. why can't they just turn the heat on. they had a pipe burst not that long ago.....

Went twice in a week and enjoyed myself. First time though, there was no one checking tickets so could have gotten in for free. Almost happened the second time too but I got someone’s attention.

Only go there because it’s the only movie house in town otherwise it’s a shity place to watch movies especially block busters coz when the place packs up it really gets irritatingly hot. The one star is for the marvellous personnel who work there otherwise it would have been easy to give zero if it were possible

Looking forward to better service at the new location. There is never an adult manager on site. It's a shame to see the poor conditions kept at this location in comparison to the rest of Alberta. The staff doesn't care.
