Showed up for an 8:00pm movie showing at 8:13pm and the doors were locked and nobody would acknowledge me when I banged on the door. I tried calling the theater and the corporate AMC number with no response. I then went and tried to get a refund for the tickets I had bought, since I couldn’t use them, only to get this response which directs me to call their phone number which says to message them on Facebook. Save your time and money and go to North Park Theater instead.

The bar serves a limited list of mixed drinks. This is a theatre so drinks and other concessions are priced at a premium despite being horrible microwave dinner quality. The "butter" topping for your popcorn is self dispensed out of a filthy do it yourself area. It's nasty but what can you do? Stay home and stream if you can. Only go when the movie is something special.

The Whirlwind

A super clean and modern movie theater. There are Freestyle Coke machines as well as an Icee machine. The snacks get some love too with a dedicated island for napkins, flatware, and butter. One thing that separates Market Arcade from other theaters is the bar, which serves a variety of mixed and bottled drinks. Another cool feature are the reclining seats. While other theaters have reclining seats, at the Market Arcade the seats can be heated with the press of a button and there is a handy snack tray, complete with a cup holder. It should be noted that this theater doesn't have a box office. Instead you got to a kiosk and have your tickets with just a few taps. I don't know for sure but it seems like the ticket machines are cashless. I always buy my tickets on Atom so I have never had to use the kiosks. My final note is that there is only one entrance, which faces Main Street. In the past you were able to enter from the backdoor but now that is an exit only. If you have to park before your show please take that into consideration.

This theater has changed so much over the years. Don't worry..... it's a great change! Heated reclining seats AND a bar! I like that it's not a massive size. I always enjoy going to our AMC theaters.

Best Movie Theater In Buffalo! In the heart of the theater district and directly accessible by the subway. Beautiful area and the theater inside is impeccably clean with very helpful, friendly staff. The layout of buying tickets and concession stand is good and they offer a lot of different food and beverages. The real treat is the inside of the theaters! The chairs are actually loungers that heat if you want it. So comfy! Nice little tables for your beverages and food. Seating is stacked so there's nothing blocking your view. The bathrooms are spotless.

It's a very classy theater. Everything from the ticket counter to the bathrooms to the snack delivery service was an enjoyable experience. My large popcorn and pop came on time. The popcorn was fresh and came with a bag that had small cups if melted butter, napkins and straws. The reclining seats were clean and comfortable. I liked that there was a small swivel table to hold your drink and food. Overall, I would definitely recommend the AMC theater in the Market Arcade.

Very exciting to be back in theaters for me. I still love the big screen and of course everything is up to snuff as far as cleanliness everywhere right now. No worries about that and downtown serves alcohol inside the movie theater 2 drink max allowed only. You can also use an app to pour your drinks from the fountain machine for a compactness experience. Not sure the point as the vendors are giving you your food and beverages. Still the concept is there. Wonderfulness be back. Forgot how big the screens are even compared to a 70 in Television.

Downtown hasn't had a movie theater, it seems for over 10+ years. To finally come downtown again, and enjoy a nice clean quiet theater is greatly appreciated. The seats are comfortable leather recliners, with a heating option. Also the seats have personal food trays for your beverage and other food items you may have. Parking is always a challenge downtown, but well worth the effort.

Seats are great with full recline and drink and swivel food tray. They just renovated so it still has a new feel to it. Good exciting feel and vibe when you walk in. You purchase tickets at a touch screen kiosk which is fun. Overall enjoyable experience.

Best seats in the world!!!!!! Reclining seats with cup holder and table. Very comfortable! The wait at the concession stand was a bit long, even though there were only 2 people in front of me. I decided not to have popcorn. The cinema is in The Theatre District (naturally) and easy to get to. Wheelchair accessible for those in need, and just 2 monitors for ordering tickets.

Definitely the best movie theatre I’ve been to in Buffalo. Sitting in the theatre felt almost like being in a new world (with amazing heated recliner chairs). It was very clean, which is always appreciated, and the snack counter seemed to have a good system to get orders out to customers in a timely manner. We did not try anything from the bar, so I reserve my last star until I can say for sure if the alcoholic drinks are worth it. Try this movie theater!

This theater is wonderful. I took my kids to see Addams family and i loved the overall experience i had. It's clean,helpful staff,and i like that unlike regal,they charge less for children's admissions. I live for their heated seats???? and that drinks are refillable,plus you can butter your own popcorn. I love this way better than regal. Great if you have kids.

The movie theater offers reserved seating, has a good selection of food, and there is a bar inside that offers special cocktails and drinks based upon what movies are showing. Tickets can be bought in advance or on site at either a kiosk or from a person. The seats are very nice with plenty of room for reclining and the seats are able to be heated to various settings. Overall this is my favorite movie theater in Buffalo.

Great theater, everything is new and it's never been too busy when we've been here. There's a full bar which is pretty unique to a movie theater. You can even add your own butter to your popcorn, as much or as little as you like.

The theater is ultimately pretty serviceable. The chairs are very comfortable with a heating function. The prices are reasonable. Or at least they are competitive with other theaters. And you can buy beer and wine. My only real gripe with this theater is that you have to use the public paid parking or be very lucky to find a parking space within a reasonable distance. It's not a serious gripe. It's just how it is in a city. But in terms of convenience it is something to think about.

Well this has already proven to be a little gem in the theatre district. The place is absolutely beautiful, and well renovated. It boasts generous quantities of heated recliner seating, albeit a bit narrow each seat and the tray tables can't be moved out of the way, that's a little annoying. The audio and visual quality is hands down the best in the region, which made me mind less the tight seating. All in all I was very impressed with my grand opening visit tonight, and I look forward to seeing more films here in the future! Note, there is no dedicated parking for the complex, and you can only enter from Main Street. However, the M&T bank lot and the nearby garage are affordable. Another option is to take Metro Rail in, and exit at fountain plaza station.

The parking is still under construction at the time of this post. When it is done, or if the train is convenient, this will be a solid four star theater so I will grade in anticipation of that. It is all new furniture and is VERY well staffed. At 2:30 in the afternoon on a Sunday I would have expected someone to be floating between the bar and the snack counter. But despite the fact that no one even walked toward the bar for the entire time I was in the lobby every station was still fully staffed, which is impressive.

This movie theater in the heart of downtown Buffalo is a hidden gem! Usually a theater chain as large as AMC may feel corporate or cookie cutter, but the Market Arcade location is far from bland. The cinema is right on Main Street in a unique and cozy space. The theater has heated seats and expanded food and beverage options, far more than any other cinema around. Also, it is so great to finally have a movie theater back downtown after so many years. It is perfect for spending time in the city for a few hours and then being surrounded by wonderful restaurants within walking distance. It is so cool to walk out of AMC Market Arcade and seeing the historic Shea's theater. For me, there is a certain magic coming to this movie cinema that locations in the suburbs just lack. The Market Arcade location finally restores a movie theater in Buffalo's theater district and it is by far the nicest cinema offering in the whole region!

Great place to see a movie. Seats are a bit smaller then AMC in Amherst, NY but this place does have a fully stocked bar. Parking can be tricky. If you park on Washington you have to walk around the block to Main St. to get into the AMC theater (good luck trying to find parking on Main St.), have to keep that in mind with the Buffalo weather. With all the places to eat around the theater it's in a great spot for dinner and a movie.
