Great place. We watched very cool show. Not easy for parking. The theater is very cozy and clean. Staff extremely friendly. For sure we are coming back here. Location is really great trendy Bloor Street West. The theater has big history. They have really good bar.

It's swanky and doesn't really belong in the neighborhood. 10$ popcorn out of a box is a bad option no matter fancy you make it.

Service was excellent and the art deco decor was fantastic. In seat service on balcony was great and staff was helpful. Really excited to go back again soon. Saw Phantom of the Paradise and sound and picture quality was phenomenal.

Attended the 1 pm showing of Dark Water this afternoon. The theater is totally redone. Beautiful leather seats. The lobby is small and intimate. There is a lobby bar. The seating area orchestra level is very well laid out. Lots of leg room and very clean. There is a balcony as well but it was closed today. State of the art ticketing. You can even preselect your seats. The restuarant is opening mid January. A great spot.

I can’t wait until the full building is open—how glamorous! In the meantime, they’re offering a very nice selection of bottled wines, cheeses, and fine Italian frozen foods. Also have to say that the vintage style sign in front is absolutely stunning!

A stylish and all-round wonderful restored cinema with vibrant and imaginative programming. I took these shots from the balcony when the theatre had cleared out after a screening of Lubitsch's Trouble in Paradise, not long after opening day in December 2019. My spouse and I consider ourselves very lucky to live just a couple blocks away!

My family was invited a private event there. Nice screen and sound! Also, clean washroom! We enjoyed some nice cocktails a bar tender made.

The Paradise on Bloor is really kid friendly on the weekend. I took my 2 year old daughter today as the kid movie on Saturday and Sunday is at 10am - today is was "The Great Muppet Caper". I booked the exact seats I wanted online easily and got the tickets in my email as a .pdf. Parking was free on the street (Sunday no cost until 1:00pm) and we entered the theatre and checked in at the concession stand where we also picked up a water with ice, two apple juice boxes and a bag of popcorn for $10. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. We had my daughter's stroller that we took into the theatre and left along the side. Lighting of the walkways and stairs down to the general seating was good and we easily found our seats. The seats are well-spaced apart and exceptionally comfortable fold-up leather. The movie started on time with 2 short previews of the collection of movies the Paradise is showing. The picture and sound were fabulous. At one point we had to change her diaper and were pleased to find an over-sized family washroom (with change table) on the main floor with grey kids change table that matches the decor. We bought another bag of popcorn and returned to watch the end of the movie. I can't wait to return again - the restaurant and bar open in 2 weeks!~ Cheers, cH >

The Paradise Theatre renovation is a breath of fresh air into the neighbourhood. The facilities are stunning, with thought put into the design of everything from the floor tiling to the soundproofing panels. The negative little Sallys below complaining about the duration of the renovation should come check this place out and update their reviews, because it has been worth the wait.

The renovation is beautiful. Only wish they had some hooks or coat racks in the bar when you first walk in. Had to hold my coat and my drink and was a bit awkward. The show was great. I like the seats. Wish the previews were a bit louder, couldn't really hear them well.

The cinema is spectacular, great decor, seats, sound, pricing; saw a Kurosawa film from 1948, finally a place to enjoy classic films in a proper setting, kudos to the management and please keep the programming eclectic and the standards high. No blockbusters please!!!
