As of day this firm has a rating of 4.4 stars over 5 and that score was based on 127 reviews.
As you can read, the average of ratings that it reaches is quite positive, and it is founded on a very high number of scores, so we can think that the score is very faithful. If there are many people who bothered to leave their score when they are pleased, is that it works.
You know that we don't usually stop to write scores when they are correct and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or issue...
This Movie Theater corresponds to the category of Movie theater.
It was delightful.
Clean, large, and good quality seats. The VIP section is really well decorated and a lot of fun (they come with a menu and serve drinks, how fancy).
Best VIP among all cineplex...
They asked if I wanted butter on my popcorn so, naturally I said yes. Then they asked if I wanted it layered... I thought, awesome! Good service here. Then I see that they charge an extra 2 bucks for butter that I could've put on myself, for free!!!
Stopped in to the VIP lounge for drinks pre movie and were attended by both the host and our waitress very courteously and professionally. Also the person checking tickets was friendly and very polite. it was a positive and enjoyable experience at this movie theater location.
Average Cineplex experience, reminds me of Scotiabank with all those stairs. it's nice that they have Indigo right outside that's open late (10pm)
This is a solid movie theatre. We have been going here for years as we are locals. Be sure to check out the VIP lounge if you get the chance. They are super friendly and attentive. The regular theatres are usually clean. The popcorn can sometimes be a little more fresh for the price you are paying so if you like fresh popcorn make sure to get it straight from the machine freshly popped instead of the premade bags.
The movies are great and seeing them with friends is even better.
Nice environment and friendly staff. I had a few problems with delays on orders at the VIP, but in general it is a nice experience and clean place.
Phase 3 reopening What to expect: Similar to like eating out. Lines of 2m apart are encouraged and masks are mandatory. Corridors can be narrow which may cause some people anxiety. The place seems thoroughly clean. You are encouraged to wear a mask throughout the whole movie or as much as possible. The staff strictly follow Ontario guide-lines. Seats are left empty to social distance. However the staff do not strictly enforce it. (I mean employees south of the boarder are being assaulted so I don't blame them). If you are someone who is cautious I would recommend getting seats far away from the door as possible.
Really impressed by this location. The theatre was huge! Good wine selection. Recommend getting a bottle of you feel like treating yourself. Insufficient staffing unfortunately. They were seldom available. Much like rabbits scurrying around the theatre avoiding any customers. I highly recommend ordering food and drinks 30 minutes before the movie from the Scene App. It's a must. Definitely a good idea if you want to be comfortable in a place that isn't your couch????
Great local theater. We missed our movie times due to a mix-up and they give us tickets for a later show, free of charge. The theaters are always clean and the staff has always been friendly.
Floor was super sticky.
One of the best theatres I've been to in the city. They have all the options when it comes to IMAX, 3d, Atmos and dbox. There is VIP as well if you want to spend a little more. They always have all the new movies to choose from.
Probably the second most popular cinema in Toronto. Great place to watch movies.
Worth every penny.
best movie theatre I've ever been too. It's in a convenient location and is easily accessible, wonderful experience overall.
Clean. Decent theatre size and efficient concession design that doesn't confuse. VIP area is immaculate. Posh without over doing it. Staff are excellent and the food is great.
Excellent service, clean and affordable. Located perfectly surrounded by happening places along Yonge St, 3min walk north of Yonge-Eglinton subway.
VIP theatres are really nice... seat service with reclining chairs but at a premium price... Even the food costs more. Getting here by transit is a nightmare until they complete the crosstown subway connection
Usmani, the manager at the theatre saved our night! Thanks to him, we were able to enjoy a great weekend date night! Thank you Usmani!
Small cinema place. They recently build VIP section.
Staff was okay when I came there, the volume wasn't too loud either and I think that's important.
The VIP is fun, though, though the food is not very good. But worth every penny to see a movie in comfort!
This is a great Cineplex theater that is built around fun for the family with a gaming area and many different fast food kiosks. What I like is the VIP theater for adults where food and beverages are served to your seat. It's like having your own home theater but with a much larger screen and the latest movies. It's great for dates and to rekindle romance.
I went to this cinema almost every week, I love the way they decorated their cinema. The services was ok except for the cleaning guy. Foods here are quite expensive, so the best way is to buy a ticket and go straight to the audiences. I, especially, love the Ultra-Max audi, the surrounded-sound system is in good quality and chairs are comfortable.
It was great being back in the theatre. The staff in VIP was exceptional! The young woman who checked us in was very helpful to my sister and I. We arrived late for the in seat service and she offered to help us with our food orders. I wish I knew her name (I forgot to ask). She wore glasses. We were there Tuesday, July 20, 2021 to see Black Widow at 6:45pm (Yonge & Eglinton Cineplex Theatre). I really hope someone from that shift sees this. She was really great!!
Walking distance from where I live the screens here are bigger than some cineplex s . Lots of lounge space including expanded seating in a re vamp. TTC accessible
Easy to get to at Eglington center. Surrounded by after Movie restaurants on Yonge street. Quiet theater not many early show goers.
Serendipity led us to the VIP Lounge for its inaugural Board Game night!♟ Every single game was brand new and factory-sealed ????????, including classics like chess, Battleship and Yahtzee. We ended up playing Blokus (an award-winning abstract strategy game) while munching on coconut shrimp ???? and pierogis. Oh, and I happily got brain freeze, sipping on frozen Coconut Margaritas.???? Besides the main event (games, not movies), tasty apps and array of (alcoholic) libations on offer, the views overlooking Yonge St. were amazing and the staff was incredibly fun! And accommodating — the manager, Kesik, is open to buying your favourite board game if they don’t have it.???? Move over, Snakes & Lattés. We’ve found our new favourite, no-cover-charge board game spot. ????????????
The VIP theaters here are great. Fully reclining seats, tons of space for people to walk through in front, big screen, plus all the other perks of a VIP ticket. Even the pre-show bar area is nicely done. There are multiple spaces where you can have a drink or have a snack while watching the game before the movie. Nice views out to Yonge/Eglinton as well.
I couldn't make it to the theater last night due to personal reasons, but when I was calling the customer service today, they said I can't get a refund or switch to a different time, because it's "after the show time". Cineplex could've called to inform me about it, thumps down for inefficient customer service.
Full Reclining Seats and food served to you! What else is more important?
Great theater!
Horrible food! Way too expensive for what they served. I will never eat a meal in vip again. Seats were very comfortable, but bring a jacket or a blanket because it was really cold inside.
The VIP cinemas here are the best appointed with a great team of servers and a great bar and lounge. Whenever I plan to go VIP for a special movie experience, the Cineplex VIP at Yonge and Eglinton is my choice!
Service was standard Everything seemed pretty clean Staff were nice There was one girl who was sweeping the floors. I noticed her start sweeping the top of a table with her broom and that grossed me out. What are the chances of that broom having swept a washroom?
My go-to cinema. The sitting here is great and comfy. You can slightly lean back in the chairs. Staff here are great and polite. The cinema is very clean and well maintained. Lots of places close by where you can grab a bite to eat before or after the movie.
No physical distancing, even though their website states it does.
It got to the point where I gave up on going to movies...regular movie theaters that is. The constant cell phone usage and talking throughout the movie, people's feet on the back of your seat. You get the picture. I had heard about some cinemas offering VIP service and was intrigued. Thoughts of a first class experience just for movies, where people come to actually watch and enjoy the movie. Imagine...watching a movie without distractions with other movie lovers like myself. One can dream, right? And this is what I imagined when I booked 2 VIP seats at Silver City Yonge & Eglinton this past Saturday to see Alien:Covenant with a good friend. The Alien movies are one of my favorite sci-fi/horror movie franchises and I was highly anticipating this latest version, happy to spend $25.00 per ticket to thoroughly enjoy it without distraction. No sooner had the movie started than the cell phones came out...Annoying to say the least! This is what I paid extra to avoid. I complained to a staff member who agreed that cell phone usage during movies can be a distraction. I asked her to pass the message along to a manager in hopes that the chronic cell phone usage of the person sitting in front of me would be put to an end. No staff member was to be seen. A few minutes later, a fellow climbed up to the top of the stairs which is where we were seated and sat himself right down beside me/us...right on the steps whilst munching on his popcorn. At this point, my friend had had enough and left the theater to get a manager to intervene. A few minutes later, a manager entered the theater, climbed the stairs and ushered this movie hobo back to his seat. Suffice to say it was a nightmare of a movie experience - the cell phone user kept texting throughout the movie and we missed parts due to the nuisances. We felt completely ripped off. It would seem that VIP means something very different to us than it does to SilverCity Cineplex's definition: Very Ignorant People. Won't be going there again! -Ray
Great theatre, super convenient. Even more excited for future upgrades
We choose Cineplex at Yonge-Eglinton because its walking from Forman Avenue and not really have to plan in much advance. A multi-screen cineplex with quality of visuals. We watched 1917 which was a very good experience from online ticketing to entering the theater. The theater is generally quiet which is a bliss to enjoy movies. Well, also too many options to enjoy food.
Best VIP theatre around! The seats lean all the way back and there is even a foot rest that is automatic. Food is mediocre at best, it's movie theatre food where the kitchen has to get everything out in a matter of minutes, doesn't make for good dining. But the seats, aisle size, friendly staff and clean theatres make for a great experience.
Amazing VIP experience - you have the usual comfy leather seats but they fully recline!!! One of the best VIP theaters!
It’s great to have a neighbourhood cinema we can walk to! They have plenty of first run blockbusters. They have recently “streamlined” their ticket desks and made them all into electronic kiosks which I am no fan of. The machines have malfunctioned the 2 times we have been ther and we required personal support each time...and had to wait as other people before us were having the same problems! Oy! Theatres need a serious scrubbing!
Best location to watch a movie and to have a meal. And the best VIP seats that I've tried are in this location.
Parking in the area is always a struggle but great location. Not thorough with proof of vaccine checks
I enjoyed my experience at this cineplex, I watched a movie using the vip lounge and playscreens they had. The staff were very friendly and attentive with no disappointments
The chairs at the VIP cinema are very comfortable and the food is pretty good!
Watched Star Wars in 3D, at the VIP theater, had a great experience beer and food delivered to our seats for the show, best night at the theater in as long time. Very expensive, but fun!
Fun theatres if there are any movies playing worth paying for. Unfortunately all food and drinks are overpriced and it’s not a good feeling when you know they are ripping you off. So if you want to see a mediocre movie and have snacks you are in for an expensive night out.
The VIP theater is amazing. Great food and service at decent prices.
Not a bad setup. There is a bar next door which is convenient when you have 30 minutes of commercials to get through.
Great cinemas, but customer service at the ticket office needs work.
fully automated ticket sales here mean I can finally do the moviegoing experience end to end with zero human interaction
Decent screen and seats. They serve alcohol as well so it was nice grabbing a cider for our film. Accessible from Eglington-Yonge Square directly with lots of restaurants and food options around.
It's a cineplex. You know what they're like because they're the McDonald's of theatres. This is one of them. This time I went the timeplay worked well, which I like. The cashier tried to upsell me on popcorn which I don't. Cineplex.
Very well maintained but there was cash only at concession stands disappointing many kids on a Saturday
Love this have. Inside parking 8$ late night amazing so no need to.drive around for parking. The theatre is clean and amazing staffs good services and also vip avx ... The package deal
Went on a Tuesday and was half price. This location is not that busy at the time of my visit. The washroom was clean when I went.
You can access by subway, which makes it great for cold winter evening. Although it's located in one of the busiest intersections of Toronto, but I find it not very busy. Most of the time I can sit on the chair that I wanted. Also I like the popcorn there :).
Love the VIP theaters at this location. Comfortable seats, great sound quality, and friendly staff that run the in-seat service.
Modern cinema, versatile Pickle Barrel next door ($10 dinners 3-6 p.m. M-F), cheap parking nearby ($4 4 p.m.-8 a.m.!), subway stop, Cineplex VIP lounge (all welcome) spacious but strangely dead)
Great theatre and location, wish the parking was more discounted or free, The new VIP cinemas are by far amazing and the full reclinging chairs offer a good and comfortable movie going experience, I do wish there was more signage as the layout is confusing
One of the best VIP theatres I have ever been too! And there lounge it huge get place to meet before a movie.
not very crowded, good one for last minute movie plans
This place is great, especially because of the location, but overall as a theater, this is a pretty good one.
the Yonge and Eglinton Cineplex is probably one of the best Cineplex in the city. It's VIP Theater area is absolutely excellent and totally worth the additional cost for the deep reclining chairs, bar and service, lovely Pleasant and accommodating staff, and overall excellent ambience.
Need to feel normal again amongst Covid and vip experience helped.
VIP is great. Service in there is great. Only complaint would be wine selection- it's very basic and overpriced for the quality.
The VIP is great with some large drink options (all the vodka), tasty drink options (mule), and good service with food options. The food items aren't really up to restaurant quality for the most part. I'm slowly working my way through …
It was an interesting VIP experience considering the lounge area was closed and no food was being served - all due to COVID. However, it was nice to have the theater at half capacity as I felt more comfortable seeing a movie - it helped that our movie was in the middle of the day on a Thursday
Nice theater. Nice bar. Food vending staff often unpleasant to deal with
The best way to see a movie is the V.I.P way at Cineplex Nice to feeling Royalty once in a while. The services is Great, staff are outstanding...of course you have to budget for it
Google search doesnt actually produce accurate movie times. We went to see Crazy Rich Asians at 630, and I double checked that it wasnt VIP or 3D or whatever, and google said "Standard" we get there and the 630 is VIP. This would all be forgivable as Googles fault, but trying to talk to someone at the front desk about whether the "AVX" viewing at 7:30 needed 3D glasses was a pain in the butt. The woman was on the phone chatting with someone about a movie that hadnt come out yet. Another employee came to get something behind the counter but said he couldnt help another group that asked for help. The woman talked for a solid 4 minutes and then begrudgingly helped us, apparently AVX is just bigger seats and screen, OK, its a little more expensive than we were hoping for, but we dont need the glasses. Viewing the movie was great and popcorn has free "butter" station, but no flavour shakers, damn!
Great place to see a movie, love the VIP!
Very pleasant and gives you what you need. Washrooms are clean
Clean and convenient but the cost of going out to the movies is nuts now. It was almost $75 for my husband and I to go to a movie with parking, one drink and bag of popcorn. Too expensive!
Good theatre. Recently renovated at the end of 2015. Not as busy as you'd think.
Wow! cheaper than i thought.
I live nearby so it's really nice to drop by on a Tuesday night after work to watch a flick. They've done some recent renovations which is always nice when finished but not while it's in progress which is normal. I don't take advantage of the V.I.P stuff so I can't give any insight on the experience. The staff seem to be on top of things and the location is maintained will so far.
Nice theatre but parking is not free and expensive. Other theatre options with free parking.
Great convenient location but he staff missed several things. 1/ The ability to upgrade or upsell many of my friends to the premium seats that vibrate. 2/ Some of those seats badly needed cleaning. We were not sure if we were seating on split drinks or urine. 3/ We waited far too long in line for to get our tickets. Only one cashier was working.
We (my boyfriend and i) come to this location all the time and never had a bad experience until today. We were the second to walk into the theatre and as we walked in i greeted the staff but she didn't respond, she just looked at us with a straight face, but it was fine with me i didn't take it personal. They just watched us walk to our seats. We then waited for a staff to come and take our order, no one came to us instead they went to the girl beside us and took her order and mind you she came in after us. After taking her order they looked at us and walked right past us and took someone else's order.... me and my boyfriend cant help but to think they were being racist because (we were the only black people in the theatre) so we wont be going back to this location because we felt highly offended.
Great movie theatre with plenty of high-end options. The VIP seating is so comfortable, but you definitely pay a premium for that experience.
I like coming here because it's not as crowded as the cinema's downtown.
went to the concession area with a free movie pass for two for "Free guy" in the last showing and cast member was having troubles with choosing seats for me & the other person I brought with...one manager didnt even help the cast member choose seats, but instead said "Sorry there is no more seats." Clearly, there was seats available one row where two are available(one row above).....Cast member didnt recommend any solutions for the seating nor the manager...I would not recommend going here for last shows. Poor customer service
I've seen more than a handful of movies here. There's never been a time when the theater is more than half-full - it just doesn't happen. It might have to do with the higher Y&E prices or perhaps the age group doesn't really align with this sort of entertainment, but I don't get the sensory experience that you'd expect at a theater. Regardless, the theaters themselves are always clean, chairs are comfortable and the AV quality gets you the cinema experience.
I like this location. Seats are comfy and it has many options and not super crowded like the yonge and Dundas one where you smell like a frying pan if u stay more than 10 minutes in the main area.
Went to see a movie tonight and the auditorium felt quite full. My seats were besides the steps and pretty much from top to bottom 2-3 seats by stairs were occupied. The auditorium may have have been at 50% capacity, but the rows by the screen were empty (as per usual) and every one was clustered. Not sure when Cineplex says they are making sure they are providing spacing when you are on their seat selector. I definitely was not spaced 6ft from the people Infront, behind or beside. A bit disappointed. Experience from 2 weeks prior was fine. Spacing was adequate, but most likely due to the movie I saw and not them limiting seats.
This is the first time I went in the theatre 15 min before movie start and the room is still not clean.
Had a good experience at VIP cinemas. Decent reclining seats with Decorative VIP lounge with a charming glass view of Yonge street. One can hangout with friends with a great decor .
An older cinema with all the features and screens of a newer cinema. Fairly priced underground parking and easily accessed by local transit. My only complaint is the washrooms are at the very beginning of the theatre which leads to an unpleasant odor being the first thing you're greeted with especially at later movies.
Amazing location. Just came for the VIP experience! The chairs are reclining which is fantastic if your watching a pretty lengthy. Staff is quick and attentive and the theatres are always pretty spotless. Great for a date nite!
Excellent theater, especially the VIP area!
Love this theatre and love the VIP experience! The staff are super helpful and friendly. Reminder that if you park underneath the Yonge and Eglinton Centre to validate your parking by the ticket cashier on your way out ????
Watched the premiere for Deadpool 2 and the staff and service were incredible. They had all of us ushered in quickly with a complimentary popcorn and drink. It is located downtown so the atmosphere when entering and leaving the cinema is buzzing!
Always super busy, but very large theatre with many first run options and a small arcade upstairs. Plenty of concessions.
Went into VIP for endgame, its was pretty nice, chairs were comfortable, waiters were kind and friendly
The VIP is fancy and professional. The full reclining chairs are extremely comfortable.
The VIP option for the theatre was an amazing choice. There are employees that bring food and snacks to the seats. The seats themselves are automatic lazy boys. Perfect.
I went to AVX auditorium 6. Picture and sound quality was good. Seats could be better if they had lumbar support and could stay in reclined mode. Place was clean. It was easy to pick up my pre ordered tickets.
Best movie experience, VIP staff are efficient and pleasant. Always a great experience.
Once you go VIP you won't go back. The service here is always good, and quick. Theatres are always clean and the staff are very pleasant.
Great cinema, well located. The facilities were clean and well maintained. The staff was efficient and courteous. The selection of films is excellent.
Cineplex Yonge/Eglinton is a good movie theatre. There is a VIP cinema here and apparently it's even nicer than the Dundas Yonge location. So that's something I'll consider. However I attended a regular screening of a movie here tonight. The staff were efficient and courteous. The theatre was nice inside and clean. My only qualm about this movie theatre, at least in the theatre I was in (theatre 1) is the leg room. It wasn't very good at all. The person in front of me tilted their chair back only slightly but my knee would bump it continually. I will admit I'm tall, however this is usually not an issue when I watch movies at Cineplex theatres. I think they were trying to squeeze as many seats into this particular theatre as possible which sacrificed the leg room. I can't say anything about the other theatres at this location since I've only been in theatre one there. Overall it's a good movie theatre with an excellent location, it's close to lots of restaurant choices, stores and transit. However the leg room issue is a bit of a problem. With all this said I think for the average sized patron this would not be an issue at all. So I still recommend this movie theatre.
There’s no better theatre chain in Toronto! Best place so see a movie, hands down
Clean and Hygienic. The ticket counter and the food courts were all properly sanitized and cleaned for the viewer. The seats had seperations as per covid 19 protocol. The audio video quality was fantastic. Enjoyed the movie didn't get distracted so yeah it was a great place and money well spend.
Of all the VIP theatres in the city, Yonge & Eglinton is by far the best. The location for this theatre is convenient, with street parking, along with parking lots, around the theatre, along with easy subway access. You can go to Indigo before the show, browse around Yonge & Eglinton centre for shopping and/or a bite to eat, or even walk around the always happening midtown hub. Why does this review warrant three stars with all the good that's been said? Recently the theatre has moved to eliminate their box office staff, making it a difficult and annoying process to buy tickets on the spot, essentially forcing you to buy in advance and print them off at home. If you end up waiting in the line to use the self-serve ticket machines, they have two or three staff there who are solely present to assist those needing help with the stupid machines. Why can't Cineplex just pay for those employees to run the box office like they used to? If they're going to have staff there, why are they also trying to automate things? It just makes no sense. I am also disappointed with the selection of frozen yogurt and non-traditional concessions at this location. It seems to really be lacking behind Varsity, and especially Yorkdale. It's really too bad, because the VIP portion of the theatre is amazingly awesome. Extremely comfortable seats, good service, and a great lounge area for before and after the show. If only buying a ticket wasn't so difficult...
I mean yea its a modern movie theater lol
Shang-chi was awesome
the Yonge and Eglinton Cineplex is probably one of the best Cineplex in the city. It's VIP Theater area is absolutely excellent and totally worth the additional cost for the deep reclining chairs, bar and service, lovely Pleasant and accommodating staff, and overall excellent ambience.
Always clean and friendly staff that work fast. Quality of picture and sound is top notch. Good theatre sizes and comfy seats. Food quality is about the same as any of their other locations.
I always have a good time here! Staff is friendly and helpful, the washrooms are clean and the experience of seeing movies in theaters just like we did before the pandemic, is just priceless
A good theatre, never too busy but busy enough.
Very high-end. Parking (but expensive). Food court downstairs, in a shopping mall, subway station adjacent. VIP with restaurant.
The only VIP theatre that I would love to go. the seats at the theatre is so confutable and you can make it into a bed. the waiters are so polite and nice. totally recommend this place
Tried out the VIP section. It's definitely worth the price as there's so much leg room and the seats are really comfortable. Staff come and take your drink and food orders from your seats and they're super friendly. Would recommend trying at least once!
The regular screens are old, seats are old and mostly uncomfy. There's better out there. The VIP lounges are nice tho. Food is also limited and average.
Nice place, just as good as other Cineplex places, but it's quieter and cleaner for the most part, especially during daytime showings.
Nice movie theatre and will be at a super convenient location once the subway's in!
Watched Eternals in the VIP experience in auditorium 2. The theater was clean and smelled nice. Staff were friendly and masked. Vaccines were checked properly at the enterance. The whole experience was very good.
I sent my 2 kids age 13 to see rampage and Michelle one of the workers behind the counter said no and insulted one of my kids by saying he is to small and looks 11 Tyler the manger was very stubborn so don’t expect to go far with him, he kept saying I’m very sorry which was very sarcastic. This place has horrible customer service and very rude Employees.
Went to watch Avengers: Infinity war in one of the regular theater room on Tuesday. Mobile ticket pick up process was guided by a friendly staff. Popcorn combos were expensive as usual. Theater was clean and had comfy seats.
Bad experiences here for the VIP service. It always seems like you're lucky to get someone to take a food order before the show. Tonight we watched multiple staff stand around (5 minutes) while we were ready to order, until the "food service is now over" announcement came on. They told us to go to the bar to order food, which I did, but then the kitchen was "closed".
Great environment. Awesome sound. Whatever you need and expect from a cinema complex.
Best VIP theatre anywhere (w/ recliners which some other VIP theatres don't have). Underground parking.
The theatre is good, sound and screen are excellent, however they are short staffed and I don't think it is right if I pay for a ticket to a movie for them to show over a dozen commercials before the movie. And that does not include trailers, and I am not exaggerating.
Much like any other theater the food is over priced however since this theater is so large that have a wider selection of movies to enjoy compared to the one at home, also a veriaty of different options like VIP or D-Box. The game before the pre-show is also enjoyable and you can earn scene points while playing.
A good movie night was marred by your parking validation at the box office after the movie. It didn't work on exiting causing backups, leaving the car and embarassment in front of friends. Parking validation was offered without conditions other than after 7:00 p.m. Poor management. Buster
Unbelievable. Went today hoping to have a great time and watch a movie, however they did NOT let us in, gladly showed our vaccine card and ID but since we got vaccinated in California they didn’t allow us in, we told the young women that we never had a problem getting into places until now and she just said “I don’t know” not hopeful at all!, never coming back here, disappointed.
Great theatres, but buy your food/drinks elsewhere before coming here. In a VIP theatre, half of the items we wanted to order off the menu were inexplicably unavailable.
Like every other Cineplex Odeon theatre in Canada save one glaring exception. Its a logistical nightmare, who designed this floorplan? Unnecessarily confusing & maze like with long winding hallways on multiple levels covering excessive distances.
After some months, we finally were able to return to one of our "happy places," and we did enjoy it. Everyone was following the guidelines, and that made us feel safe. The staff was very attentive and ready to assist you, should you need it. It was almost like back to normal!
Even better after the renovations. Food and popcorn prices could be better though.
Great cinema. Enjoyed the experience at the VIP section!
Went to the VIP area of this theatre and it was pretty good. The amount of staff running around serving people can be distracting but it ends very quickly after the credits. The seating is obviously great but a little lumbar support would help. In VIP there is nothing special about the movie itself. Not AVX, IMAX or 3D. Problems during this experience were that my seat still had popcorn all through it from the previous show and my friend got his food 10 minutes before mine.
Great theatre, lousy prices on food, horrible to park near, but comfy seats even in the regular theatres.
As tolerable a theatre as can be, given these ridiculous ticket and snack prices. No more refills on large drinks and large pop corn? Seriously Cineplex, it's price gouging and greed like this that turns people toward piracy and streaming. Just a matter of time before you chumps go the way of the dodo.
Amazing sound and picture quality. Very comfortable VIP seating and services are available. A bit of confusion and misunderstanding "exit and washrooms" signs in the darkness while playing movie. You may end up in the street following the signs to exit for washrooms!!
I really enjoy the VIP seats here at this location because they let you automatically recline almost all the way. The seats are really comfy and are still in great condition after many many visits from many different posteriors over their lifetime. Far superior than the VIP offerings at the Yonge-Dundas location in my opinion. That theatre is closer to me but I prefer coming up to this location for the VIP seats. Now even though the seats are in great condition, I can’t really say that for the cinema screen in the VIP auditorium 3. There is a very visible wear and tear patch right in the centre of the screen that you see during bright scenes of a movie. It kinda made watching Rise of Skywalker a little distracting because you just see this “stain” all the time. It wasn’t a deal-breaker but I definitely took away from the experience a little. Once you see it, you can’t unseen it. The staff are really attentive to getting your order before the movie starts if you come in with at least 15 minutes before showtime. I’m still gonna come back here for future movie experiences but hoping they replace the screen to make the best experience possible.
Beware, people get their SCENE card number and points stolen at the VIP lounge!
Parking is not free - just 25% off. If you lost parking ticket they're gonna charge you $32 :) There are 2 different cineplex locations here, so you may need to walk 300m to another one depending where is your movie. The auditorium was flat laid and a bit old. All in all I don't understand why you'd like to come here for a movie, because the parking fee will increase your ticket price and there's nothing special you'll find here.
Decent enough, kinda chilly during the film... very annoyed by the constant rustle of popcorn bags for 2 hours. Sigh.
Great theater location but, i noticed they do not play standard movies during the 6-8pm movie slots. Literally everyone i know does not like 3D movies. We went to watch spiderman 3 into the universe and found there was no standard versions of the movie playing during that time slot. We left to go to another theater location that was playing standard movies.
Great place for movies but the prices are too high for food. There popcorn combos are to expensive. But be sides that everything great.
It's a Cineplex so seats are that comfortable, but it makes for a good all in one date night.
One of the best VIP at this time. We've always had good experiences here. The staff is friendly. They handle (food mistakes, etc.) issues expediently. Comfortable environment. Only concern is the upward escalator always seems to be out …
Nice VIP lounge...on seat service.little bit pricey but worth it
Love the fully reclinable seating! Awesome tasting food as well.
Beautiful theater and love their kids combos for my niece ! Nice movie theater right above the shopping mall.
Bathroom was a bit messy and disorganized. Lots of parking. Sound quality was a little off. It was alright.
Friendly and helpful staff. Clean cinema and washroom. The screen and audio work as they should. What more can you ask for in a cinema really.
Usually there aren't many movie options but I think that bc of the constructions on Eglinton it's never crowded.
Uncomfortable seats. I'm only 5'5 and my legs were so uncomfortable. I can't imagine what a taller person would feel.
The theatre is busy, but well kept up. It feels like a well oiled machine.
One of the best vip chairs
Good ticket prices and clean theaters. A very accessible location. VIP viewing rooms available if one would like to get fancy.
Very overpriced snacks but that's expected from a theater. I like the movie selection and the theatres were clean.
Had such a great experience seeing a movie in VIP. Only wish I could have gone early for a drink in the lounge!
I paid 100 dollars for my ticket and was denied from the theatre after a bogus "Fire alarm", rowdy staff was unhelpful and unprepared.
VIP experience was great but they say full recliners and your lucky if the chair reclines to knee level... also as a VIP theater get some darn cost hangers in you theater so you dont need to sit on your jacket.
Sane console like other places. Nothing fancy or worth to mention about it except that the escalator here is very long so I don't prefer to go there if the escalator is not working. ;)
Pretty standard Cineplex location. Usually my go to movie theater just because it's close. I have seen movies here for years and never had major problems with anything. The staff have always been great and helpful either for buying tickets or concessions. The theaters them selves are very well maintained and even though the theater has been around for more than 15 years it doesn't feel run down in any way. The VIP theaters are newer and the adjacent lounge is a great place to hang out if you have time beforehand. The seats in these theaters recline with a button on the side, a feature I didn't know about at first, but is very useful to know. I will continue to see movies here for as long as this place is around I'm pretty sure
Friendly staff and safe Covid protocols in place. Very Impressed.
I got the fishbowl drink. The tequila one. It was too sweet. And the drink is huge!!! Definitely share it with someone. Otherwise it's fine.
A venerable location for films of all stripes. Sublime sound systems and crisply crystalline displays. The optimized angle of the seats for viewing purposes is particularly commendable. Voyaging here to see comedies such as The Disaster Artist is advisable. Overall 10/10 would recommend
Sound effect is great and VIP experience is awesome
VIP section was great. Fast service and doesn't break the bank
Always good especially when the movie is good Friendly staff and very helpful
Avg popcorn, avg drinks, good clean audis. Been to better Cineplexes.
Best Cineplex for the VIP experience. Planning on doing VIP - skip Yonge Dundas or Bay Bloor and make the little extra trek to come here instead!
We went at matinee time and was almost empty. Great for covid safety. Nice theatres with decent concessions. Even though they were not open due to currdnt rules.
It's never packed when my friends and I visit. The snack stands are always replenished and the staff are friendly. Pretty chill environment to be honest.
Lovely theatre with many theatre rooms. I've gone hear fir years, and the new renovations are nice, except for that they removed the old arcade. The food is great, although, as you would expect quite expensive.
Forget service, location, or what snacks they sell.. I have one word.. Rumbleseats. I believe it is actually called D-box, and it is worth the few extra bucks, so long as you don't get motion sick. I watched the latest Star Wars flick for the second time in one and pretty much giggled the whole time.. There is a toggle that let's you lessen the shaking or turn it off entirely, so nothing to loose really..
The VIP experience is my favourite way to see a movie. I deal with chronic pain, and the reclining seats allow me to be more comfortable than regular cinema seating. Worth every penny for a special treat!
Great VIP experience, but the screen in theatre 3 VIP is ever so slightly out of focus and there is some damage to the screen in the bottom left hand corner. Comfortable seats but I wished they reclined further.
By far the best VIP experience in Toronto! Fully reclining seats, more spacious, great lounge and great staff. Definitely worth the trip to Eglinton.
I find the Dolby sound loud for me so I bring small ear plugs, otherwise great experience, especially the VIP room. It’s worth the extra money.
Such a disgusting place ever!!
Staff at concession was terrible. There was only about 10 of us for the first show of the day but they made us all line up and wait at one cashier that was open to get popcorn.
Good show and service (went to see Black Widow). But the cinema experience is being ruined more often nowadays with people nearby that talk (not whisper) or babble during the movie and it's highly irritating. I wish Cineplex would implement some kind of penalty to discourage that. I find it's almost always an issue with the general admission seats compared to VIP.
Cineplex Yonge and Eglinton is one of my favorite corporate/first-run cinemas. I love the architecture of the theatres (they're all similar), with an upper and lower section. Food is extremely over-priced but there is a water fountain. A big appeal is the operas from the Met, New York City.
Lovely space deep in the heart of downtown. Good for a quick movie after work.
Nice place for kids. Download their game app to play games before the show.
Saw The Boss was funny. Saw it VIP the best way to watch a movie. A bit more money but fantastic.
A great Cineplex experience! Well organized and spacious enough to not make the place crowded during showtimes. The new layout upstairs makes the lines to the food not interfere with the entrance to the auditorium and is also well kept. Overall this is a great movie theater!
VIP theater is so great!
This is a cool cinema if you go take the VIP option. They have reclining seats, lots of room and privacy, plus you can order food and drinks. It’s a really great experience.
Sticky, gross and clearly not very clean. Jam packed full of people coughing who are clearly sick but going out anyways. Plus they just serve up popcorn but demand you wear a mask so almost nobody does.
It's generally like any other Cineplex you've been to. Staff have always been friendly and the theatres are big and clean.
Absolutely love the VIP theater. No children is the only way to watch movies. The seats are huge and recline at the touch of a button. The in seat service is ok but it ends before the movie starts so you need to arrive a bit ahead of time to make use of it. Avx theater is also great. I'm not sure I can go back to a regular screen now.
Scene had a promo that let you upgrade to VIP for the price of a regular admission, so I took advantage of it. Never been to the VIP Cineplex before and loved it! The reclining chair was super comfy and power adjustable. The staff was very friendly and attentive and I enjoyed being able to sit back with a cold cider, accompanied with a yummy pesto board. A nice change from the usual movie theater experience. I'll be back!
Good service inside...comfortable seating in VIP. Food Menu has many choices & adult beverages.
It's clean and the seating is good. That's almost it has going for it. Snacks are expensive and ticket prices are too damn high.
It's a relatively small cineplex because it only has around 8 movies playing at a time. On the other hand the theaters in the cineplex are relatively large.
Comfortable seats in auditorium #2. It's not VIP or anything but it is quite comfortable.
VIP experience was awesome - food and drinks serviced to your chair like in a restaurant!
Convenient, has a nice VIP section and a great selection of movies. Once the construction on Eglinton is completed just make it a breeze to visit.
Nice movie theatre in a convenient location. Prices are reasonable.
Always love a good movie...whether its 3d or VIP...great spot to leave reality behind..
You may purchase cineplex tickets at Costco. The price is more competitive.
Great VIP movie experience. Staff were friendly and helpful.
Watched the football game tonight. The lounge is really nice and the food is great. The recliners are super comfortable. The staff was also very polite and customer oriented.
I and my family recently saw here the movie 'Oz: The Great and Powerful'. We really enjoyed it and had a lot of fun. :) I personally like this cinema and how it is decorated. The service is okay (friendly and welcoming staff). Perhaps the food is a little expensive....Also, the sound system is very good and chairs are comfortable and clean. In short, this theater is a great place to watch a movie!
Inside the mall, it's hard to find the cinema cuz there's no sign! Nothing to complain about this place specially. No IMAX.
The recliner chairs and good beer/food make it a great experience.
The movie theater is close to subway station, grocery and pubs. I always go there when I have something else to do or share a beer with my dudes after the movies.
I love the VIP it's the only way to see movies now
Standard cineplex. Generally kept clean. Extremely overpriced popcorn snacks and drinks. On the subway line which can be useful.
The theatre, seats and quality of both the VIP and the avx technology are great, it's the concession staff that are the worst. So incredibly slow and mumbled. This is why the lineups are so long.
The VIP theater is a experience everyone should experience.at least once in their life time
So acording to Sharon at the ticket counter, Google provides inaccurate wrong information and the movie rates provided are wrong in their site. What it should be a regular rate for Lion King it turns out to be a $25 tickets instead. This is stealing from customer that comes with children to see a regular movie and instead they are charged double the price when they arrive. Never again would I return to this place.
It's never packed when my friends and I visit. The snack stands are always replenished and the staff are friendly. Pretty chill environment to be honest.
We went at matinee time and was almost empty. Great for covid safety. Nice theatres with decent concessions. Even though they were not open due to currdnt rules.
The quality of the rooms are great and the VIP section is amazing. My only complaint is this theatre has those seats that lean back way too far. As a taller person (6'1), I normally end up having someone constantly smashing into my legs with their seat.
Movie theatres are basically only worth it for VIP these days. Unfortunately Cineplex has unreasonably high prices and they also took the best sandwich off their VIP menu (the California burger). Would also feel more like a VIP experience …
Best place to watch a movie. Get food and drinks delivered to your seats. Reclining chairs that are big and comfortable. Great for a date night or just going with some friends. Worth the little extra money that the tickets cost for that extra bit of luxury. If you haven’t seen a movie VIP than you haven’t really watched a movie at a theatre. I will never go back to seeing movies at a regular theatre again.
Good to be back in a theatre, but with no social distancing and packed seating, this felt very wrong!!
Free WiFi, and also has Cinescape and VIP. Just a little confusing layout, but movies here are great! ????
Clean theatres with great picture and sound. I especially love the new VIP theatres. The staff are more friendly and receptive than I would have expected. This location has improved a lot in the past year. Great location with parking and access by subway and bus.
A bit scuffer but good
Theatre is nice but would like to see AVX or IMAX screens for VIP theatres. VIP seats aren't comfortable for me, personally.
Great place for movies, awesome popcorn, and friendly staffs.
From the first time sitting in the seat, really nice I wanted to fall asleep, the incline very impressive. I will most deffenantly go back again love it.
Beware the "Starbucks" coffee is very bad (prob I'm the only asking for coffee at the movies) and sometimes the cashiers act if they were doing us a favour selling stuff. Other than that, OK.
Go here all the time v.i.p. theatre is perfect for date night Today I'm watching spider man They have a deal on parking look at my photo belong for more info
The VIP is incredible. The have a beautiful lounge where you can get food and drinks. Inside nthe theater you can also order all sort of food and beverage.
Great place for movies. Especially with the VIP area
It's a wonderful place to watch the movie or spend some time with friends. Great service, soft and comfortable seats, great atmosphere and very nice stuff. Also they've got tasty beer and I like their popcorn.
Enjoyed the experience will watch all my movies here till I’m in Toronto
This is my favourite VIP theatre out of all of them in Toronto. They seats are comfy and reclinable, with a button on the chair to recline. The food is okay, but really overpriced. I don't drink, but I enjoy the service and atmosphere of the VIP experience.
Awesome place..we enjoy watching movies here. Friendly staff. very convenient & close to subway.
I love this location, lots of free parking, if you hate big lines then this place is for you because is not as busy as eaton or yorkdale. this place is my first choice in toronto
What a treat that was! My first time enjoying the VIP treatment. Can’t wait to do it again.
Great theatre, staff are nice, VIP section is the best.
One of my favourite cinemas in town - close to subway, buses, with a nice shopping mall and restaurants around. Definitely a plus to have in the 'hood!
Elevator wasn't working, it was difficult for my physically challenged friend. Good quality video and sound in the UltraAVX theatre
First time going to this Cineplex and it was beautiful ❤️. Only issue I had was the new restrictions. No food or drinks in the theater at all.
Great place to just go an enjoy a movie. VIP is such a great experience and worth it.
Great theatre. Always enjoy going there and its comfortable.
I go here off peak hours. Staff understand customer service and don't breathe down your neck just to make a tip which is appreciated. And then you have some waitresses who are easy on the eye, my tip percentage usually goes extremely high!
Best VIP option you can choose in Toronto
VIP seating is a must do. Sadly, it may ruin a standard seat, but the experience is significantly heightened.
Great experience thank you for clean& comfortable Cinemas.
Mannnnnn i went to the VIP lounge there..... muah!!! Fabulous baby!! Loved it.... im trying to go again next week!!
This is my favorite theater. Great service and facilities. Convenient location regardless of how you choose to get to the venue. Right on the Yonge subway line as well as the Eglinton LRT. Parking on site and you get a discount from 25% to 50% when you watch a movie depending on the day of the week. To me the best VIP theater setup out of the many GTA locations. The electric recliner seats are a nice touch.
I work at a difference Cineplex theatre, but I prefer going to this one because it gets most of the anime movies and has VIP. Don’t have to go outside to get in if you transit. The escalators though... So many escalators.
Nice theatre with large selection of movies and vip. In a great location with lots if other stores construction is a mess righr now though.
The gang that couldn't shoot straight. Have tried three times over two years to get my Cineplex card sent to my address Still waiting.
Nice to be back at the movies. Was a bit surprised that there was no more social distancing already in the theater, maybe a bit early...
Watched Avengers here, great movie! You have to pay for parking, such a confusing mission to get out of the garage, especially when the mall starts closing. We ended up inside the HSBC building which was locked. The sound wasn't good, definitely would get a sound engineer to take a look at them.
The go to spot for vip
Greatest VIP viewing in the city! Service is great and staff are friendly. They have cool events going on for the release of major movies too. I love coming here.
The cinema was not clean (surprising for a postcovid reopening) and the room was full of people that were not sitting at their places. Lots of noise during the movie, no respect of others, no one from the cineplex team came to manage it.
Big screen, comfortable seats, not busy. I usually go either to regular or VIP cinema. Both have huge screens and excellent sound. My favorite food is nachos with 2 cheese. Buying tickets online skips the busy line.
Best VIP in the town! Full recliner seats and quality of theatre itself are excellent. If you're Deaf - they're always well-prepared for Closed Captioning devices. Excellent service and drinks! Try out VIP!
I love this VIP theater as it's close to me and the staff are always great. However it's very frustrating that the escalators have not been working for the last 6 months!
It's a place too relax and watch a movie in the air conditioned theater.
I honestly love going to this cineplex because it's a bit less populated and you can always find great seats. Also the staff is great!
They have reclining seats. That’s a huge plus. Staff there were extremely friendly and well mannered, something that is appreciated at a VIP experience.
A theatre located in a convenient location/mall and has VIP bar....What more can you ask for? OH...btw...the bar workers are super sweet! :)
Conveniently located. Comfy seats, good audio, and great environment. The best movie theater in the Yonge and Eglinton Area.
Great VIP cinema with top row recliners! Very enjoyful experience here with great service and Ambiance. Parking is not free here but Cineplex will validate for a discount. Great selection for munchies at this theatre.
Fabulous fries and ice tea. Engaging warm welcome at the entry. Food Service needed to be sharper, more attentive at responding to our need to order, although they were courteous and order was delivered promptly. Very comfortable seating, clean modern washrooms and terrific screen, audio.
Nice one for Toronto. . But Cineplex in Canada always seems inferior to American and Indian movie theaters
Good cinema complex, usually with best blockbusters and expensive pop corn as well
Dated building. Dirty theatre. Uncomfortable chairs that force you onto either upright, or fully deployed recline positions. And the slowest staff that I've seen at a theatre in years. Chicken fingers took 10 minutes. The fries, 15. Nearly missed the start if the commercial-a-thon.
Good theatre but parking us a fortune even with their discount. It’s worth it driving a few minutes more and picking another theatre.
From my first visit to Cineplex VIP 4 years ago, I quickly realized that there is no other way to truly enjoy movies. The upscale atmosphere is palpable from the moment you cross the main doors. The lounge is a perfect place to relax and enjoy great food and drinks prior to your show, and if you decide to skip it you can basically enjoy the same menu in the comfort of your leather reclinable couch right at the auditorium. Say goodbye to annoying kids and cell phone lights during your movie. The audience is respectful, the auditoriums smaller while still retaining the big screen and amazing sound. Yes you pay a premium price for the upgrade but I assure you is worth every penny. Once you try it you might never want to see a movie again in a regular theatre. Personally I will continue to enjoy the VIP experience cause if there's any other better way to enjoy a movie, I haven't found it yet. 2 HUGE thumbs up! ????????
The restaurant's food is very good. It has vegetarian options.
Went here for the first time and i absolutely loved it just like ever other Cineplex in the town but one thing i should they have to change is how employees talk to customers and not lie when asked a simple question like how to validate my ticket anywho... watched dead pool 2 god damn it was such a good movie
went to the Thursday preview of equalizer 2, staff works very good, they are very friendly , theatre was clean, movie was great, i had a great night
Clean and organized inside. Though the VIP section can totally be missed if you don't look
Clean and organized inside. Though the VIP section can totally be missed if you don't look
Great cineplex! Has acrades, has a vip section, the popcorn and drinks is not far from the theather. Good location i have been here many times
Nice cineplex that's not too crowded, is comfortable, and offers a good selection of movies. Service by staff is generally good. Prices for snacks are rather high.
I always go here with my cousin and it's easy to get your tickets and the staff are always nice.
Visited to VIP for No Time To Die All spacing, cleaning, vaccine checking protocols were met and conducted in a friendly and professional manner. Food service began and ended on time with no issues. Between the high caliber of the movie and cineplex staff, it felt just as if I was attending a movie in Fall of 2019.
The theater itself is great, they lost two stars in my books when a while ago they slashed their points program in half taking away about three to four hundred dollars of value from me personally.
Prices are high for tickets and food, but that is the same for all IMAX theaters in the GTA. The facility is clean, and there is an arcade to waste money if you arrive early before the showing.
Really nice theatre and conveniently located right above Eglinton subway station. You just gotta figure out how to navigate through all the crazy construction happening on Eglinton as the TTC builds a new subway line. The girl at the cash desk was not friendly at all. Almost grumpy even. Other than that, the rest of the staff were great. It was the last show of the night, so maybe she was tired and had some grumpy guests before me.
Love the VIP experience! Drinks and food ordered from the seat. Seats are comfortable and there is lots of room. Did not enjoy people getting their orders after the movie started because the servers walked by in front of people to get people their food this should be done before the movie begins. I had to move my feet to make room for them to pass on several occasions and having to be looking out for that made me get distracted from the full experience.
I came here for a matinee show on a Tuesday. The staff don't acknowledge customers and continue conversation amongst each other despite people standing in line. I ended up buying my ticket from the machine. I had the same experience once I went upstairs to buy food before the movie started. The place is clean, but the service is lacking.
VIP is amazing here... They have reclining seats. Service was great. It is picey, but no kids or teenagers. Went with my wife for their hump day special. Would recommend.
Large spacious theatre right in the heart of uptown. My friend lives in this area and its convenient having a movie theater near by.
Very clean and the biggest VIP lounge
A big multi screen theatre. Good food options.
Loved the service here! The employees were really friendly. Only complaint would be, the movie playing next to us was so loud, that it was a bit distracting during our movie.
The most tightly run Cineplex I've ever had the pleasure of visiting! It's smaller than most so much more maintained and the service is excellent. I've been to the VIP once as a splurge and I was once at the Yonge Dundas one and this one is SIGNIFICANTLY better. The decor is top notch and the service is fantastic. I would recommend this become your go to if you're anywhere in the area!
VIP has always been a better ways to view the films, as it has leaning chairs, qr code for menu, which helps, friendly staff, easy access to the building from the street and TTC.
I saw two movies. I had a fun time. One movie was near empty and the other was full.
Great location. Easy access to theatre and big screen. Went here on vday with my wonderful husband. Had a blast
I normally don't go to the yonge and eglinton cinema ???? much but when I do it's always clean nice and the staff are ok I only say that because some of them didn't seem to want to smile ☺ @ all but overall it's a nice theatre.
Love it
Nice big theatre... parking is very scarce....tons of options and has VIP cinemas.
Good VIP experience. Good vegan options though not well labeled. Not perfectly clean (popcorn in the seats).
Love cineplex
This is my go to VIP theater spot. The elegant settings make you almost forget about the eternal construction work on the intersection. If they had an elevator to reach the vip section it would be better tho ????.
Clean, spacious VIP theatre with more comfortable seating than Yonge and Dundas.
Horrible service.
Favorite movie theater . Great stuff good choices for film. Also has VIP which is amazing
Superb screens (huge) and selection, comfortable seats, always a bit crowded but beautiful nonetheless
This is a very nice theatre in a busy location. Watched a movie in the VIP section which is what I prefer. Seats are more comfortable and they recline. There is a lounge for you to enjoy if you are early. You can order food and drinks as well as have someone bring it to you at your seat if you like. Only con to this is the screen sizes are smaller so if you like big screens then don't come here
Clean, friendly staff. Really appreciate that no one rushed us out after the film.
Convenient location near the Eglinton subway but signage to the theatre is practically non-existent. Washroom is a bit small but other than that, it's your typical theatre.
Worst VIP in the City, nobody approached to me to even show me the room location, no service, no drinks, completely ignored from the beginning to the end, never come back here, don’t worth your $25 bucks
Love the VIP service here! The lounge area is beautiful and gives a nice view of the outside (despite that right now that view is LRT construction. Reclining chairs are great! Food selection is wonderful. My favourite is the California burger. I don't recommend the nachos. The drink menu is fantastic as well and I can't decide between the Hail Caesar or the Wiskey punch. Staff here are really great and accommodating. Seriously though it has "ruined" the normal movie experience....I have been spoiled and I'm sad as I moved away to a city that does not have any VIP Cineplex
Best vip cinema 5/5
Don't have any free parking around and the road construction made it even more difficult. Plan accordingly.
Nice sized theaters with covid safety protocols in place
Must visit the VIP movie to really feel like home. With reclining chair and food service while you watching movies in comfort.
I hadn’t been to this theatre in a while and would normally have given it a 3, but with some renovations and redecorating, it looks a lot better! Larger assortment of concession options, and you can even buy toys and fandom merchandise while in line to buy your popcorn. On the subway line and while the intersection in this area is a construction mess right now, it should be great once it’s done.
Like the large screens and many movie choices. Plus, convenieny located near Eglinton and Yonge Subway Station.
The up escalator was out of order and National Thestre Angels In America : Millennium Approaches audio was out of synch through the whole film.
Great VIP theatres and never busy. Awesome place to watch a film.
Very convenient location if you use the TTC. It is accessible through Eglinton Centre. The place is big and clean, customer service is good. My 1-2-3: 1) Parking is NOT included. Note that parking at Yonge and Eglinton is usually busy so if you decide to park at the parking in the Plaza be prepared to pay very expensive fare (I think is $6/hr) 2) They have 1 VIP experience 3) They have Timeplay (Yoo-hoo!) ????
First time in the VIP area. It was a great experience. The staff were very appreciative and very kind.
Great place to watch a movie it’s got everything you need. Friendly staff.
It is a good place to watch movies. However drinks are very expensive here, you will pay like $5.35 for fountaine soda here and $10 for can of beer.
VIP theatre here is the best I’ve been to in the city. It’s in a separate wing of the building, the seats are fully reclining... feels like you’re paying extra for a reason!
My favorite branch! There are always movie tickets. The movie theaters are very clean. The staff is courteous and helpful
Good place to watch movies. The seats could have been more comfortable
I've been coming to this location since I was in the 7th grade, a good 8 years ago. While my family and I used to come every other weekend for a new movie, I still love this location and hold it close to my heart. With great staff, who is always willing to lend a helping hand, and operating standards that make you feel comfortable in the aftermath the COVID pandemic. I only recently tried the VIP cinemas, and I wish I had gotten there sooner! I would definitely recommend this for a nice date, or for pure viewing comfort.
Comfortable seating, great customer service, central downtown, location in Eglinton shopping center, near all amenities
Best VIP in Cineplex. Best reclining chairs, very roomy aisles, big screens. Don't go to Yonge and Dundas. Go here.
Underground parking. Right next to subway.
Very happy to be back watching movies here ☺️ pleased at the COVID measures they take by checking IDs & vax passports, seating distances, and staff wearing masks!
We watched Beauty and the Beast 3D and I was impressed with the quality of the 3D. Not a huge screen or room, for that matter, but it does the trick.
Great location, spacious seats and friendly staff.....the cinegames arcade though needs work. The candy came was broken and another game ate my token. Closing manager helped us get the tokens back. Just my experience.
Good theatres. Great sound comfortable seats.
Super clean and spacious. Def a comfy place for a movie and the VIP is just perfect :)
very fun! I've seen various movies here and it is a very fun movie theatre, there food is so good (i like the nachos) i would recommend this place too as it is in a mall
Mt Favorite VIP movie experience. Food is delightful, awesome seats, and perfect sound with projections.
VIP theater here is fairly nice. Always nice staff
Nice to have this real close to home. Good seats in the theaters.
Great place; nice rooms. Hopefully the construction around it will finish soon.
this is about the VIP...seriously comfortable seating, but expensive.
Poorly managed with little to no oversight over the quality of presentation. On a recent visit, the sound was out-of-sync and dangerously loud. (It was not an action movie but that is incidental as this volume level would have been dangerous for any film/audience). Image quality was surprisingly poor as well. Eventually staff did determine there was a problem with "the source material" and the rest of the screening was effectively scrapped. Accepting that the problem itself was not the theatre's fault, the dismal handling of it demonstrates a dismal lack of managerial skill at this venue. I'll avoid this theatre whenever possible.
Best place too chill out in airconditioned atmosphere for an hour and a half for about fifteen dollars.
Good location if you are taking ttc, but overall it was an average experience. Seats were okay, not that good. The movie began 30 mins late than quoted, so dont hurry for the movie. It was very annoying, 25 mins advertisement.
Go VIP. Yes, it's expensive, but how often do you actually want to see anything in the theatres? When you do, GO BIG, and they won't disappoint. :)
Clean and well maintained, which are the most important criteria for me. Popcorn was better than many other cinemas in the general area (e.g. Yorkdale) - not raving about the popcorn, just saying it's better comparatively. Root beer was also less watered down than in nearby cinemas. These things matter to me as part of the overall movie experience. ????
Great cinema - saw Eternals VIP and loved it . Clean and great service. .
VIP is the best way to enjoy your movie...food, wine and my hubby!!! Black Panther in VIP!!!
Great viewing for movies, comfortable seats, but the theatre had a bad odor. Dirty and stale smelling, my friend and I both noticed, bathrooms too! Give the place a good cleaning!
The vip portion is quite good. The food is passable. It came to us quite often cold or mild warm. The fries were a bit soggy. The shrimp popcorn was quite good. The staff was friendly, from the host to the concession stand and the waiter in the auditorium.
Bad customer service at vip! Very bad service at vip!! My fiance and i arrived a minute after the scheduled time for the show and they said we cant order food!!! We were there last week and people were ordering right until the start of the movie!! We had to return our tickets and go to different movie!!! Not cool. I wont go to vip anymore with this type of service!!!! The manager couldnt come down to help us because it was busy lol
Saw a movie with 4 other people in the theatre. Everything was clean and no bad smell in the air.
The D-Atmos experience was fantastic ????
The best VIP cinema, because you can recline AND raise your legs. You don't have that leg raise feature at the other VIP theatres in and around the city. Adds a nice touch. Great service and a nice cold pint to your seat, what else do you need?
It was truly enjoyable. The seats are comfy and social distance is great. Not so good in the regular theatre. The screen is great and you see the movie well. The sound was a bit high though. All in all, it was a great evening.
Clean, nice theaters, easy access from the subway. Food is still way over priced as always.
Seating is a bit uncomfortable plus movie starts at least 20min late everytime
Went to see the new Bond movie. Staff were friendly and patient while I fumbled with my phone to find my vax qr code and then my on line tickets. Then staff in the VIP Lounge helped with my food order and yes it may be a little pricey, but it was delivered to my seat and tasted great. Great job all the way around.
Completely safe. No one sitting anywhere near-seats in front/beside/behind blocked off. It was fantastic to be back in a theatre after so long.
Toilets were in a nasty state. Vomit inside the sink and the manager who cleaned it went straight into the food area with his gloves still on to serve food!
Star Wars RoS $15. Cinema is nice and was nearly empty at 10:50 pm showing.
One of my favourite movie theatre. Well located. Great staff!
Great theater, best VIP out of all of them, can be rather messy at times
Great.
I did not know I paid for seing adds 3 or 4 times the same... movie was supposed to start at 7pm... still watching adds at 7:25...
This is actually one of the best Cineplexs I've been to. The location is really really good. The environment is really comfortable and the staff is really kind and nice. Because of Covid purchasing a ticket is done with the devices with touch screens that you basically do it yourself, and it actually worked. I've been to other locations and their touch screen devices dont work at all but here it does. I am very pleased with this place and will definitely continue to watch more and more movies here.
For me its big enough to have a good variety and small enough if you are not into big crowds. I generally do matinee movies, stop by Metro and LCBO on my way out. The mall its in is pretty diverse so you should get everything you need. Close to TTC. There is underground parking but I have ever used it.
One of the best Cineplex theatre locations in Toronto, the VIP screens are really nice too
Brilliant cinemas .. awesome av experience especially soundstage. Seats could be better
Nice place. Michelle at the counter and Paul C at the food counter did a fantastic job.
This is a really nice theatre... And the VIP seats that recline are my FAVE. :D
Very good theatre and very conveniently located. Good concession as well.
The theatre host lots of movie selection. OK sound systems and seating makes for an enjoyable experience. I'd like to see better food selection (New York Fries, A&W, Suchi, Taccos, beer). Dim lighting makes it difficult for seat accessibility.
Always a good time and a good place to see recently released movie. Also good for the occasional special event such as the 3D festival, old movies and theatre on screen.
Always a good time. If you have a scene card get combo 1. Always worth it.
Nice theatre. Changes there make getting tickets a little confusing to start with.
Well located on the #1 subway line (construction chaos excepted) the on-line world has taken over customer service at Odeon. We arrived at 5pm on Saturday to purchase tickets for a 7:45pm show. We planned to go out for a pub dinner prior to the show. As we strolled up to a cashier (no line ups) the e-sign flicked to "sold out". That killed the evening. People book on-line and in advance. If you haven't done so, especially on a popular night , you may have the same feeling of impotence. Also know that the cashier said that Google was a 3rd party and Odeon was not responsible for show time discrepancies which apparently happen more often than you would think. Also, take note that many films now come in presentation bundles...straight forward film; film with D-box, 3D & ABX. Or in ultra versions. If you want to see the film with the special effects of D-box and ABX you must accept the 3D (& glasses). If you just want to the film in the old fashioned way...they will put you in the VIP theater, bring you drinks and theatre food and charge you $25. Either way...book your tickets a day or two in advance to avoid disappointment. We felt hijacked by invisible queue jumpers.
Love the seats????????
Speaker on left side of the theatre (don't remember which number) was blown out and rattling during the movie. Pretty disappointing when you pay $20 for a premium movie experience.
Great place to see a film.
Terrific VIP theatres at this location. Large lounge, great staff & excellent service.
Great experience! The theatre is a little bit difficult to navigate, but the food and the movie quality was good.
Great VIP section. Not sure about parking. Lots of construction around now.
Its a movie theatre. Actually the VIP has electric seats. Very comfy. ????
Enjoyed the movie. Snack bar is fine. Absolutely no healthy choices like veggies and dip or anything along those lines. The bathrooms are really dirty and smelly so we avoided those and use the bathroom outside of the movie theater. Very convenient location near the subway and the kids like the fact that there's an arcade inside the movie theater.
The movie theatre is large enough that there are enough theatres to allow for a good selection of movies.
If you're 19+, definitely consider VIP, especially for movies you've been waiting forever for. It's expensive, but once in a while, it's worth it. You get a couch, a ton of foot space (saves on tripping over ppl during washroom dashes) and you can order beer and decent food to your seat. And the rooms are small, so you lack just the general noise of the theatre. I'm the kind of person that isn't huge on movies but there's always one movie a year I'm dying to see, so I save it for that and I always love it. Plus, they have a pub area for before / after the movie for drinks. Oddly, they allow non movie goers into it sometimes, which I don't see as a thing, but ok. My only gripe is that last movie, they shut down all washrooms in VIP without a reason so you had to travel to the regular washroom. #firstworldproblem maybe, but for $25, I don't need to miss 10 min looking for an open washroom.
Unfortunately, there always appears to be an escalator out but don't let that stop you - the VIP lounge is fantastic and the popcorn always seems to be super fresh!
Watched Eternals here and it was a great experience. My boyfriend had a difficult time accessing the tickets on our phone and the concierge employee went out of her way to ensure we could access our tickets. Great servixe
I'm so disappointed because we paid today almost $50 for me and my husband to enjoy the VIP service, but it was not worth it. The most annoying part was the theater temperature; we were sweating and melting inside our clothes. It was horribly hot.. Secondly, there was a couple who sat next to us and talking all the time even after we hushed them, it's really impolite and distracting.. There must be some rules to stop this kind of people
Servers are slow, understaffed. Bathrooms are outdated. Probably the worst Cineplex I went to. You would think for the area it would be more higher end
Staff in the VIP screens are a credit to themselves and Cineplex - I really enjoy every visit!
We try to go to Cineplex more than others because we find the young staff amazing no matter where in the city. The seating is also good as the grading of the theater makes it good no matter where you sit.
Our favourite movie theatre. The vip is awesome. And I love that you can come to the vip lounge just for dinner. They have amazing vegetarian and vegan friendly options.
Staff is friendly and the seats are comfortable. Its an enjoyable Cinema experience
They need physical copy of photo id when verifying coivd vaccine proof. Website doesnt say that. I have seen people return bcz they have only digital copy of photo ids.
Great theator both the sound and screen quailty are excellent and had great seats
Experienced VIP hall and loved it. Reclining chairs and the option to order food and drinks to your place makes watching very comfortable. Recommend.
Movies was going to start in a few minutes, I went out to have a smoke, my friend got in an argument with someone in the theater while I was out smoking, I came back in to my friend getting kicked out, I got kicked out too because I was associated with him? I did not even get a refund? How does that make sense? Why did I get kicked out for doing nothing wrong? where is that logic? Why did my friend get kicked out but not the other people?
I'd recommend it as a good place to catch a film
Our daughter is at summer camp this week so me and my wife went to see the new Jurassic Park movie in the VIP lounge. We decided to have dinner there and I ordered a "Skyscraper" burger in the monthly one page menu which is named after the upcoming movie with Dwayne Johnson. It's the same burger as the stacked burger in the regular menu except for having perogies on top which were nothing special but the burger itself was one of the best burgers that I've ever had and that says a lot since I've eaten a lot of burgers in my lifetime. The movie was a lot better than expected based upon what the critics were saying and watching it in the VIP reclining chairs is always a pleasure since you can bring real food and alcoholic beverages with you into the theatre and you also get served in your seat up until the movie starts. As theatres go this is an excellent location and I've always enjoyed going here even when I'm not in the VIP section. I just wish that they would get the escalator fixed. It seems like it's been broken for a few years now.
First VIP experience and that part was awesome. The layout of the VIP is a bit awkward, lots of hallways and turns around the outside of the building to get to the theatre proper.
One of my go to theatres, it’s normally very clean
Love the V.I.P. Theatres here. Food is good, screens are large, and reclining seats are comfortable.
Good cinema in central, but have to go up lots of stairs to get there
This theatre usually has all the latest blockbusters playing in a variety of viewing options. There are regular, AVX, and VIP cinemas here. The reason it does not get a full 5 star review is due to a recent smell populating the hall near the theatres themselves. It's a pungent sewage smell that is very unpleasant. Thankfully, the smell does not permeate into any of the theatres themselves so your movie will not be ruined.
Location is super convenient as it's right beside the subway. They always have the new releases. And i love the new VIP area where you can see movies without having to worry about kids making noise.
The seating and spacing was quite comfortable, the only real issue is the distance from the seating to the washroom is about 3-4 minutes and that can eat into movie time.
Nice movie theater. Popcorn was overly salty. We went to an evening show. My daughter lost her wallet at the theater and the next day her debit card was used. Thankfully it had a $50 limit before we have to transfer money in.point is be careful with your valuables chances are you won't get them back.
Great theatre. Often less busy than the ones downtown.
Too many movies, just 30 minutes of ads, couldn't even enjoy the ads properly
The go-to cinema in Midtown for most mainstream films. Great complement to Famous Players next door - If you live in the area, you will have access to the vast majority of What Cineplex has to offer at either location.
Our local theater to catch all new movies! We met very welcoming staff on place. Better find public parking outside (cheaper..)
This theater is great. Did vip and it was a good experince (pricey, but good).
Bit pricey but the cinema was spotless and the staff were very pleasant. There was a flashing overhead light in our screen which was quite annoying while waiting for the movie to start.
Great theater! Great atmosphere and always clean
Decent theater for sure. As expected, everything is overpriced. Great seats in the VIP theaters.
Nice theater, no real complaints, but why does it cost so much for popcorn and drinks? Order a drink, popcorn & a bag of M&Ms and suddenly your total is almost $20
Highly doubt we will ever go back. Theatre was full of disrespectful people who ruined the experience by talking loudly, using cellphones constantly and vaping. We ended up walking out and the manager said that we waited too long and only offered to reimburse one ticket. I used to wonder why people don't enjoy going to the movies anymore, but this was a clear example of why. Perhaps the VIP is a more controlled environment, however $50 would be better spent supporting local live entertainment.
Great movie experience. Missed going to the theater because of the pandemic. Glad to be able to go again. Great movie.
Good location if you're taking transit but not great for parking. Theatre was clean and staff were pleasant. I was very happy to see two staff members at the entrance checking vaccine records with the QR scanner and politely telling people trying to go around them that vaccine checks are mandatory.
One of my most common haunts for movies. Lots of theatres. Friendly staff. Could use better housekeeping throughout though.
We always do VIP here because of the great service and the comfortable chairs.
Though not about cineplex @ Eglinton itself, the construction at the intersection in front of it makes access from across the street quite annoying. The theaters themselves have been clean so far whenever I've visited for a movie. The VIP staff have also been great. The reclining chairs though cushioned are not good for my back after about 2 hrs of sitting through a movie; this could just be a personal issue.
This is my favourite place to see movies. The VIP theatre is the best theatre I have ever been to. All the seats fully recline and it is the most comfortable movie experience. It is relatively new so everything is pretty and clean!
Ok movie theatre it's a bit small but plays the latest block Buster's
The facilities were all clean and the people working the food counter were very nice.
I went to the VIP section for a date night and we had a great time. We ate dinner and cocktails in the lounge prior to the movie. The food is reminiscent of high end microwave dinners, satisfying and tasty. We had dessert, coffee, and more drinks at our luxury reclining seats. Nice wide seats with convenient cup holders and adjustable dining trays. Hard to believe we spent $200 at the movies but we had a great experience.
The 3D Screen has been out of focus the last 3 times I've been here. The last time I had to argue with staff in order to have it fixed and they have yet to reset the movie meaning that I've missed the first 10 - 15 minutes of each movie.
It is a good place to watch movies. However drinks are very expensive here, you will pay like $5.35 for fountaine soda here and $10 for can of beer.
It's a shame that you have to pay for parking if your going to see a movie. They give you a discount but I feel movie goers should be exempt. The staff at the concession stands didn't seem pleased to be at work. It was a very rushed transaction and when I said "thank you" there was no response. The bathroom was gross like others have commented. There are better cinemas in Toronto.
Loving the recliner seats and luxurious comfort at the cinema here. What more can my wife and I ask for?
First time doing the VIP experience. Loved it. Comfortable seats and great service! Can't wait to do it again!
Probably my favourite VIP theatre. The staff are always super friendly and the theatres are very clean.
Been to many VIP cineplex, this one I feel is the best designed one, really enjoyed my experience there. The staff were quite friendly as well. Some may not notice, but being greeted politely by staff is definitely welcoming and makes the experience a lot better.
Perfect for cheapskates like myself, except for the golden popcorn not cheap.
Great seats and great service but food and tickets are way overpriced
Best place.
I am being harsh but come on, the heat wasn't working so the theatre (just the one that had Spiderman in avx) was absolutely freezing! Like winter jacket on the whole time and still cold kind of freezing
The VIP lounge is great. Spacious, super roomy chairs that recline electronically, and the servers are quick and efficient. I am removing a star because of 2 thing: the nonVIP rooms have incredibly uncomfortable chairs and the food was pricey and gross. The chairs have push back reclining ability but little support so your neck becomes stiff. Because there isn't as much legroom, my legs become stiff and painful. I do have a disability that would explain this, however. So, I usually pay extra for the VIP and go to a late viewing. The food was soggy and the items on our plates were either way too hot for consumption or incredibly cold. I had fish and paid over pub pricing. The portions of the fish were tiny and you can tell they're boxed fish sticks that they pre-cook and keep in a warmer. As someone who worked food service for 15+ yrs, I knew exactly the reasons why the bottom of my fish were soggy and wet while the top was overdry. The fries had not been left in the fryer long enough, yet still seemed stale. However, I don't necessarily go to the movies for amazing food. And the snack bar is great (though the sizes shrunk and prices increased). The screens are large and clear and the sound is controlled and clear. The VIP seats are amazing.
Never tried the VIP room but both UltraAVX and regular are very good. The place is clean for a cinema.
One of the best designed theatres in Toronto. Love the variety of choices for movies and which type of theatre you see it in.
Nice Cineplex close to the subway station
Cleaning was up to the mark. Nice experience.
VIP is a must. In seat service by friendly and competent staff. Food is a little $$ much the same as going to a good restaurant.
All these movie theaters are the same. It's exactly what you'd expect. Perhaps the biggest compliment I can give is that both the theater and the washroom were clean. What more do you need to know? Good viewing experience.
It’s the typical movie theatre. But, the washroom... sometimes smells really bad.
VIP Recliner seating is the way too go! VIP food however leaves much to be desired..
Empty and awesome
This theatre has a pretty nice VIP section - big lounge, nice reclining chairs. I think this might be the best VIP theatre I've ever been to. They also have separate regular theatres that are also pretty good. Location is convenient as it is right by Eglinton subway.
Good theatre, easy access at eglinton station. Bit expensive but so is any cineplex
Excellant time at the movies today! Was tense and needed to relaxe and unwind today so i saw " it comes at night".
i didnt enjoy this theater, scotiabank theater toronto was better best part of my visit was my server Carrie N
