Here you will be able to see the feddbacks of people who purchased the products and services of Landmark Cinemas 9 Edmonton City Centre (Movie Theater) in Edmonton (Canada).
To this day the business receives a score of 4.3 out of 5 and this score has been calculated on 127 reviews.
You may have noticed that the average score it has is really high, and it is based on a very large number of scores, so we can be pretty sure that the valuation is quite credible. If there are many people who bothered to value when they've done well, is that it works.
You know that we don't usually bother to set reviews when these are good and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or incidence...
This Movie Theater belongs to the category of Movie theater.
This place is never packed so it's great seeing a movie on an opening weekend with only 1/3 of the theatre full. Ticket prices are good. Please don't close this place down, it's the only thing I have going right in my life.
U can pick your own seats. Large popcorn and pop are fe refills.
Really enjoy this place, always a good seat to be had. Enjoy going to new releases on opening weekend and not have to fight with people.
nice little cinema with good selection of films and deals. screens seem to be in 4k and sound is good as well. seats are clean and comfy. staff is friendly and the overall vibe is good and happy. good place to see movies without any kids around. good experience
I go every Movies on Tuesday in the City Centre and I love Fion McCools at Downtown Edmonton. #YEG
Many times I have seen a movie here and every time it has been a good time.
Always an enjoyable movie-going experience. Wish parking wasn't so expensive. Really dig the selection of films. This time, Parasite! :)
Great theater great movie racing in the rain
Its not the biggest theatre in the city but its a great option to go see a movie. The staff are friendly, the concession deals are far better than Landmark’s biggest competitor and its great having the ability to buy in advance and reserve seats without having to pay the premium prices you do at the other guy’s Ultra AVX auditoriums.
Probably my fave place to watch movies. Very chill and not too crowded. Thumbs up! ????????
The location and price are the best selling features of this cinema. It is nice to have an alternative to the Cineplex chain and this theatre is not usually busy or lined up. However, there is certainly not the most extravagant or high quality of theatre.
Theater was warm so struggled to stay awake Seat was uncomfortable as it worn out Water from fountain warm
The problem with this theater is that you have to pay for parking ($5 at the east or west parkade). The tickets and food is slightly cheaper than cineplex. The theater is never busy, so you can go on opening weekend or cheap Tuesday and still get decent seats. The theater can be confusing to get to, if its your first time. The theater feels/looks slightly run down but the screen and sound are still good :)
Totally forgot that the movie theaters existed in City Center Mall. Still a good place to watch a movie. Not as fancy as those new ones popping up on the outskirts of the city but definitely worth considering to save drive time (downtown living).
Great for taking the kids, rarely gets busy. Friendly staff.
Great place to catch a movie downtown during the afternoon or evening.
Nice cinema. Was there to see a movie once. The movie was not great, but the cinema was not bad. I appreciate the store right opposite the cinema that sells ice cream. I think ice cream instead of popcorn, would be a nice change. They sell popcorn too tho. Ill say go there if you can. If you do not end up liking the cinema, there are lots of stores with lots of clothes, shoes and everything else in there. It would be worth the view at least.
I went during the day so it was quiet and nice
Love this theatre. Central location is easy to get to for those who live downtown and its typically pretty quiet. Since it caters to the downtown crowd it seems to attract couples and groups of adults vs. the crowds that gather at the suburban theatres.
We LOVE Landmark! The auditoriums as well as the bathrooms are always clean. Ticket prices are far more affordable than Cineplex and the lines are not even half what you would find at a Cineplex. My only sore spot here is the fact they did away with a good chunk of the arcade games that used to be available back when they were still Empire theatres.
Rather dirty facilities. Needs serious attention
Good place to watch a movie, it's a little quieter than other cinemas.
The Teather’s are fine but the washrooms and hallways need cleaning.
Went here a week and a half ago to see a new film. Upon arrival (20 min) before the films start time we met our first obstical. That being human feces in the parkaids stairwell. Well although not the business' actual property it's used by 99% of visitors. Was a fitting sign considering what was coming. Got to the ticket line and although there were maybe 6 people ahead of us it took at least 12 minutes to get through. Why because on a Saturday night they had one person at the box office. After that I lined up to have our ticket taken for which they had two people doing this simple and speedy task. Next we went for our popcorn and drinks. Took about 10 minutes although there were as many people behind the counter as there was people in line. We got our popcorn candy and cups. Only cups becuase they have self pour drink machines that allow you to mix odd flavors (like lime and mango fanta) while this is a cool idea. Waiting another 10 minutes to get your drink is tiresome. Especially considering when I messaged them about this they said it was because a machine was broken which it certainly was not. Now after 4 lines we could finally get into the theatre and watch the film of which of course we were late for after nearly 40 minutes of lines. The popcorn was good as were the actual screens (although nothing special) seats were comfortable and roomy. 2/5 star. Cost is identical to ciniplex but the experience is more in line with costco on a Saturday afternoon.
Decent theater. Good movies and is convenient if you live downtown etc. Could be better if that bathroom was cleaned more often. Kinda smells like an outhouse.
I've been going to this theater since it was was Cineplex Eaton Center. But honestly? Landmark hasn't exactly kept up the standards. Their food isn't great even for movie theater quality, their seats are fine but I've been to a lot of theaters lately that really invest in seating and make it a lot better than this. Plus more than once I've gone to a show and experienced projection issues. Today it was they started the wrong movie in our theater. Also, their afternoon matinees cost as much as evening admission and that just sticks in my craw a bit.
A very nice theatre with comfortable slightly reclining seats. A really good place for me to see the encore version of "A Star Is Born." I very much enjoyed my visit here.
Great place that often has room. Includes reserved seating as well.
I like this theatre. Movie popcorn getter than Cineplex. Clean facility. Good prices.
When you're in the downtown area and would like to watch new movies, this is the best place to go. Its located inside the city center mall.
I love this Cinema, but it is hard to find parking
What the hell did you do to the popcorn?! You do not simply mess with movie popcorn..... it’s the best part of the cinematic experience, what sets the theatre apart from staying on your couch at home watching Netflix. You don’t see CocaCola messing with their recipe. McDonald’s messing with their Big Macs. Lays messing with the classic potato chips. Bring back the normal movie popcorn for the love of god
The seats might be a bit older, but this cinema is a gem! Hardly ever busy, but the sound and clarity of the movies is all there. This is my favourite theatre in town, way better than any of the huge cineplex theatres!!
Honestly I love this theatre! I am not a huge fan of crowds and I'd you don't want to drive it is easy access on the LRT line. I find that it is not as busy as ciniplex which is why I love to go here. Also, the popcorn is really good which is a bonus. What can I say give it as try.
I enjoyed the movies a lot but there was screaming brats everywhere, maybe just a bad night. I should have had a few Margaritas before I went out lol.
courteous staff, finding parking can be a challenge, plan for parking options online before you get there
A modern large theatre . Great sound and competitively priced
Because of the downtown location, this is the theatre of my choice most of the time. It's easy to get there as it is located in a mall. However, the facilities are slightly underwhelming about 50 percent of the time (esp. bathrooms). Also, the inside of the auditoriums is very cold, usually - unpleasant during the winter. Staff is friendly and welcoming, and there are great deals for downtimes (some afternoons and weekdays).
I love going here. It's quiet and you can always get seats. It's more self serve now so getting drinks is slower, but it's an adjustment as is any change.
Usually pretty dead theatre which is nice. The theatres are smaller than most others in the city but that's really not an issue. The only drawback is that the concession is often understaffed so it takes forever to get theatre snacks. In my experience the theatre is usually clean and in good condition.
Very nice and cozy cinema we visit often because it is a bit quieter for Sunday matinee. Great concession, again, with not much fuss or waiting lines. Washroom is very clean and pleasant. I appreciate that !
It's a movie theater but not the most amazing. I'm hoping the seatings be updated to better seats. Sound is absolutely amazing in totally 360 degree surround experience. Last time there was to see Judy. Outside and the bathrooms need more attention.
Best popcorn in town. The salt hangovers are real but worth it. Great quiet location! And there are free refills on large popcorns.... need I say more?
Best place to watch a movie in Edmonton.
Awesome seats. Had a great
Great parking. Not too busy. Sunday kids package is a great deal.
We watched the mule. Enjoyed it. Sound was great.
Best time to go is on a Tuesday. You get half price admission and there's very little people there ????
Everything about this place is incredible! The friendly staff, the great theaters, the fantastic prices! They make every visit to the movies a good one.
An incredible experience from ticket purchase, snacks and movie watching. Highly recommended!
Nice workers. But dirty washrooms. Good movie.
Is ok great Costumer Service
Landmark popcorn has always been better than Cineplex, and in recent years they have invested in better seating as well as featuring the same (if not more) films than other theaters. If you're looking for more of a cozy, small theater experience, look no further than Landmark. If you're looking for a reasonable date with your significant other remember that 2-for-1 passes are available through Costco that include tickets, popcorn, and drinks for 2 at a significant savings than if you were to show up on a whim.
A pretty good place to watch a movie. Good access and good set uo
Would give it a 5 with exception of parking issues. Nice staff, comfy seats and places nearby for food and drink before or after movie.
Not super popular so it has a private feel, kept very clean; offers fairly cheap matinees. The movie selection is also fantastic for a cheaper theater.
Often watch movies here. It’s good to watch movies here. Staff are good
Good place for visitors to come see a movie and not go far form the hotel. Tuesday is cheaper for a movie.
Had a great time. Good selection of snacks.
I like it. Small, intimate and easily accessible for those downtown.
I love this theatre. It's never packed, even on an opening weekend. The staff are friendly. The concession has a self-serve fountain pop machine with dozens of flavours. And pretzel bites. If you live downtown, this place is super convenient. The one down side: you have to pay for parking if you drive here.
Good location, easy accessibility. Located in downtown. Easy ride from LRT, and other transits. Ambiance is good. Clean and pleasant. Nice and helpful staff. Overall Sound quality and screen is pretty nice. Worth enjoying high VFX movies, with vast experience of cinematography.
Wonderful theatre. Great popcorn and staff. Wish they were part of the scene points rewards program. I'd go so much more often. Great pricing too.
I love having a movie theatre on the top floor of a downtown mall, and right beside a great Irish pub! Living downtown, it's the best place to catch public transit to, see a movie, and have a pint afterwards. :)
Best place to go in city to watch a new release without the kid crowds. 1 free refill on large popcorn and soda. and drinks are much larger then cineplex. live the multi combo coke pop machines with many flavors
The theatre is nice, the popcorn is excellent, having a self-serve drink dispenser is nice, and the seats are very comfortable. The only reason for not getting 5 stars is having to pay $10 for parking
Bought my tickets online, scanned by the employee and pointed in the right direction. Seats were quite comfy, better then most I found. I will try to come here more often!
I love coming here because most of the time the theaters are empty except for a couple people watching with u
Love this place. Good location, reserved seating and never too crowded.
Very convenient location, the theatre is dated but the staff are generally nice.
Clean and comfortable cinema. THEIR CHAIRS RECLINE, I repeat: THEIR CHAIRS RECLINE! Haha bring a blanket with you!
comfy seats, makes all the difference! Love it!
Good seats, great service.
Good theater. Prices are good as well, on Tuesdays you can check out a film for about $7.50. With that being said, I always like a cinema With an imax..
I really like this cinema. It's a great location downtown as well, after a long day at work to just walk by and watch a good movie to relax. Vey clean and comfortable environment. It's along the same prices as Cineplex for admittance and food so I don't know what some people are on about the prices, but it's almost literally the same (I go to Cineplex cinemas in south Edmonton common quite a bit as well).
Great hidden theatre. If you forgot to pre order tickets to a new release, definetly try this place out. It's cheaper than most, never sells out, and still brings a quality big screen experience.
Landmark downtown is not glamorous or new but it very rarely is busy. We love going to popular shows without the lines and crowds.
Was only theatre that still had decent seats left for avengers movie. Friendly staff and the seating was comfy.
This is a very nice theater. Will go there again.
Good theatre for the price not the best or the worst can be dirty at times.
A bit pricy for the food but very nice plaxe
Good location, easy to get there, LRT, ETS, not very busy, BUT not the best place to watch a action movie, I think the sound is a little poor.
Newly renovated theater in the heart of downtown Edmonton. Very nice venue.
I love this theatre! It is a big newly renovated space that it not to busy so you don't feel overcrowded. The seats are comfy, the picture and sound are nice and the price is better than cineplex. The only draw back it paying to park but if you go after 6 you can park on the street for free.
You dont have access to all you can eat butter and not the sa.e seats as the st albert location. Disappointed
Great place to watch a movie. Clean. Friendly staff. Quality theatre.
Theatres are good but the bathrooms seem to be in a perpetual repair.
Not as flashy as Cineplex, but offers a much more civilized movie-going experience. If you ask for water, they'll give you a big cup, and the theatres themselves have a classic feel.
They play movies in an easy access location.
My goto theater. Free refills on large drinks and large popcorn. Generally clean with quick service. It is rarely overly busy. Not obnoxious like some other theaters.
A fine cinema, not usually crowded.
Underutilized space for sure. Never busy so you have can get a good seat. Great spot in downtown to catch a movie, parking is 5$ after 5 PM although I wish it would be earlier during weekends to promote their afternoon showings.
Decent place. Bathrooms we're dirty but other than that, everything else was good.
Great downtown theatre, seats are awesome, staff is friendly and accommodating.
Good value for seniors on Mondays. Free large popcorn refills.
Love the movies here and frequent this place many times...
Needs some loving getting rundown bathrooms water fountains don't work
Affordable mid-range new release theater in downtown.
No bugs?? never mind you will never catch me into that place ever Again
Overlooked theatres. These theatres used to be the best in Edmonton by far. Then the megaplex's were built and most people forgot about this place. It's well maintained, renovated and prices are good. Fewer movie-goers means lots of seating choices.
A hidden gem in downtown Edmonton. This is our go-to theatre because it is conveniently located for us, and never busy!
Well it's a Good place , just went to see a ???? John Wick which was good .
Love these cinemas. Really convenient for those living downtown or near downtown. My favourite place to see movies.
We always come here in Wednesdays! Two can see a movie for $30.00 popcorn, drinks and a candy with tickets! That beats Cineplex!
I don't know why people are rating it so low. I thought it was good. Yea there could had been more staff when getting our snacks, and could had been a bit more tidy - but other wise it was good. The location is hard to get if you never been to it before, but I had a good time.
I would love to say my experience today was a good one, but it wasn't even close to being acceptable. I came at 11:40 to purchase a ticket at one of the kiosks for the Bridge of …
Great staff, clean theatre and great snacks! All round excellent experience.
Convenient for transit use. Good prices.
love it, bit of a quieter theater, which i really enjoyed! staff always helpful! answered questions when asked and generally a joy to go to this theater.
Fantastic. First time going to Landmark and it won't be the last. The one in downtown is quiet and there's no waiting in ridiculous lines. We went to deadpool 2 and the theater was maybe half full. And the leg room, don't get me started on the leg room. Most cinemas are like airplanes. Trying to get as many people in as they can and they sacrifice leg room. Landmark had crazy legroom and extra to really stretch out your legs. They also have those new machines there they carry any brand of coke products you can think of. Love It!
So, I feel like this theatre is Edmonton's best kept secret. I love this place. It's clean, it's reliable, there are never any lines but it still seems to fill up for a popular move. It's basically magic. Also, they were the first theatre to start serving soft pretzels, so they will always have top place in my heart.
I like the location its lrt accessible and bus availability
Cosy place for Tuesday night movie.
Always good to see a movie here, never too crowded and the seats are comfortable.
Decent cinema - Fairly clean, not too busy and playing most recent movies. No coffee at the snack bar... I sneak in my own.
This is my favourite movie theatre in Edmonton. Depending on when you go you will typically be able to grab a great seat. Staff are polite and friendly. Bathrooms could use a little TLC such as working hot water and paper towel.
I have only been here like 3 times and I loved it. Great movies and you never really get bored since it's in the heart of downtown and they mall
Great comfortable seats good popcorn. It was just great
Great prices. Never usually too busy.
It is a nice cinema good sound system and spacious chairs
Saw Endgame and Joker here. No issues. Clean and not busy.
Love this theatre, it's clean and often not as busy as others.
Honestly I've never really had a bad experience here. The kids that work the counter are generally very pleasant and willing to make pretzel dogs if you're willing to wait. They definitely put the cretins at Cineplex to shame. Landmark is our go to for all our movie dates <3
Very Good ????????
The screens are big, the chairs are pretty comfy, they have fountains for your drinks which is cool. Only thing, if you dont ask for butter you get plain Jane popcorn.
Our closest downtown cinema. You can always get a ticket and it's easy to park.
I love this place. In my opinion with who has a bad back, they have the most comfortable seats.
Great popcorn! Better than Cineplex for sure.
I love going to this theatre. It's never crazy packed so you can show up 30 minutes before a movie and still get a good seat. Additionally, any time there has been a negative experience (twice in 10 years. once with the film not playing after an hour and one March 5th 2017 when a loud abusive man had to be arrested) the staff has responded admirably. They didn't even get mad at the guy who got kicked out. Great theatre, great staff and a wonderful movie going experience!
My favourite theatre of them all. Has great selections and reasonable prices for a budget. You get to see small time movies as well here. Happy they still have it. No more cineplex for me keep it here and going.
I live downtown and this is the closest I can get to. Fresh popcorns! Also, download the Atom app so you can buy tickets online.
Its wasn't that busy at all there was a limited seating for movie goers I had a great time enjoying the movie. Thank you landmark Cinemas to keep the place running in hard covid19 pendemic.
Cool place, newer seating, the only downside is parking. You're looking at an extra 20 bucks to use the parkade during the day.
Amazing experience. Went during a last showing. It was only me in the showing with a few staff members. Great experience, can't wait to visit again
Very good quality and excellent service!
Biggest theaters! Leg room and awesome popcorn! Would go here before Cineplex!
Honestly a really underrated theatre, it’s nice just smaller screens but really nice because no one really goes to this location so you can sit wherever and on tuesdays it’s 8 dollars for a movie ticket
Never as busy as Cineplex. Last time I was there a drunk guy ruined the movie so everyone got two free passes. I'll always go here before I go to a Cineplex.
Cheap and cheerful. Beware, though, being in the city centre you can sometimes get some noisy folk there. We had one drunk guy shouting throughout A Quiet Place!
This theatre is always dead. It's perfect for opening weekends. You wont be crowded. Love this place.
Best theatre in the city hands down. Always clean in auditoriums, staff are friendly. They screen different movies than cineplex. Theatre & screens a bit dated but perhaps in the next few years there will be upgrades.
Visited a few days ago to watch 'A simple favor' and had a great time. I love how clean and modern surroundings. But, most of all it's reasonably priced and not overly crowded during the evening.
Great Place & Prices. Only if they had a point/membership system.
Yo this place is a banger. No huge lineups, you're downtown so you can go get a beer after or food or whatever. Great student deal. I mean if you want a no BS movie watching experience go here.
Best theatre. Good prices. Friendly staff. I always watch movies here
Regular, run of the mill type of theatre. Plays feature films. Commercialized nothing independent. Good popcorn!!
Had an awesome experience the staff very friendly and social one named Anita and the other Danielle or Arielle was very kind to offer me a new order after I dropped mine and had everything spilled everywhere!would recommend to everyone;
Very small theater but its worth it especially with kids and very reasonable prices as well..not always busy..best time to go is during the day..
It's always great to go watch the movies here. Even though there were just few people in the theatre the movie was still worth watching
Never over-crowded, spacious seats. Snacks and popcorn are a standard good, nothing wrong with that. Their drink machine is great, lots of selection. Pretty good service most of the time. Prices are better than Cineplex.
I go to this theatre.... probably every two weeks and I've always been very happy with the service, cleanliness and it's never too packed.
It was awesome watching here. Landmark is so well maintained, clean. Great location. The car parking charges in the mall is the only drawback. As the parking is covered its good during our winter months. I would love to come again.
Superb friendly staff!
Older cinema... But seen lots of good flicks here.
Comfortable, reclining Seats, Clean Washrooms. Kids Day Sunday (comes with kids snack box & Ticket). $3 underground parking on winter weekends. Will only visit this theater now.
It's not open yet but it looks really nice
The theatre was dirty. The washrooms weren't well taken care of. One of our seats broke before the movie started. We just moved to different seats as the theatre was empty. By the time the movie was over, the entrance was locked up. No staff to be found. It took us a few minutes to find our way out. The upside was that you can pre-purchase your tickets and reserve the seats you want.
Excellent comfortable seats...nice movie experience
Quiet cinema, candy bar has good prices. Just wish it would have a bigger range of kids movies showing.
It was clean....
If you really want to enjoy a movie of your own type, without bring bothered by usual brouhaha inside and crowded hustle bustle out side the theater, this is the place. Seldom, you will find a lineup for tickets and taste-bud paraphernalia. And if you are on moon and want to moonlight, again this is the place. Hardly anyone will notice you and nothing to disturb you in your rendezvous!!!! Pops and snacks are tasty and ambiance, layouts are opulent: Overall a good place to entertain-n- hide or to tide over the shopping tiredness or boredom from wife/ girlfriend shopping marathon in the city centre.
Have gone to see quite a few movies in the last few months and I have never had a bad experience. It is usually pretty dead on weeknights after 7pm which is nice. I like that you can buy movie tickets and a concession voucher from Costco for pretty cheap and there is also a Wednesday night movie deal for pairs of people.
Lots to like: Fresh hot popcorn, reserved seating, comfy seats, ticket pickup kiosks at the front and nearby parking.
I love the location, staff and theaters but the men's washroom is in a horrible state of disrepair. Oh, great popcorn too!
Maybe the screen isn't as big a cineplex or whatever but I love it. Easy to park and the lines are small.
This is the Edmonton downtown movie theater. It's has some good sized theaters with lots of seating. Staff are very friendly. This is also the home of the EIFF (which is on right now). If you are in downtown Edmonton and want to go to a movie this theater is a good choice.
A convenient collection of movie theaters in the downtown core easily accessible by transit. Ditch the car as parking can be expensive. Shops and restaurants very close by.
They validate parking but only for the west parkade and not the impark on the east side which is closer to the theater. We were not told that when we asked for parking validation for my sons BDay when we needed to drive 2 cars. The girl at the counter simply told us to put our ticket stubs on the dash and that is all. We received 2x$50 parking tickets which the theater manager said there's nothing he can do about. There is something he can do from now on. Maybe train the staff so that the next time when a customer asks for parking validation to make sure to ask if they are parked at the right parkade!
Relatively quiet and unappreciated theatre, but great quality screens. Seats are much more comfortable than Cineplex, and wait times are much more manageable. Only issue is a lack of concession choices but it isn't a huge issue.
I really like this theater it's never overly crowded, seats are more comfortable than a cineplex and I like how it's set up. Would be nice if they have points system but it's more convenient and enjoyable so worth it.
Clean, tidy, helpful staff. Good location and easy to find once you have found somewhere to park.
So it had this old neglected theater just seems dirty and the staff were all haggered looking. Not a theater I will go to again.
Short lines, assigned seats, amazing pop selection, and usually not very busy!
Still my favorite place to see a well varied selection of films at a great price
Decent price and pricey concession items. Not a bad place for watching movies especially the recently released blockbusters, its not as crazy busy as the Cineplex theaters. $5 for parking and a better deal if you're a college/university student. I think they now use the SPC card.
Glad to return to move theatres. Good COVID-19 policies in place.
I'm is this ever a beautiful place I love going there
Pretty nice theatre, decent combos and a custom pop machine. Staff is always friendly.
Ignorant staff. Filthy washrooms. Speakers are not loud enough all you can hear is the sound of people digging into their candy. Seats are not very comfortable sure you can lean them back but the springs on them push you upright.
We went to there to watch Deadpool 2 and the staff is really decent and so is the location. Just that the late night movies causes problems since the Edmonton city centre is closed and you won't get anything and you can probably get stuck since only a few doors are open and the washrooms are also closed. So it's just a heads up for people going for late night shows!!
Went opening weekend for suicide squad last minute and got great seats. Never crazy busy. Parking is always costly
I love coming here for new releases its the hidden gem of theaters short lines and grate service
Horrible not like the landmarks in Calgary, we walked out for our money back. Need to upgrade to recliner seats. Disappointed
First time watching movies at this cinema and it was Star Wars Rise of Skywalker n it was best movie iv watched in awhile I love this cinema now gonna come here more often ????
Comfortable, clean theater. Staff was quick and friendly. Restrooms were clean.
Love this downtown theatre. It’s got that big city night out movie experience. Come downtown for a meal at a restaurant and then come here for a movie. The theatre is clean and well lit. The washroom was clean. The concession stand served customers quickly and as opposed to the other major theatre chain you get free pop refills and a popcorn refill. Prices are reasonable for a ticket to the movie and concession stand prices are expensive as expected but again cheaper than the other theatre chain. I definitely recommend coming here for a great movie viewing experience.
I love this theatre because its never busy. But they should serve more food options. When I went last they didnt have hotdogs which sucked. But overall I love it there
Very clean theatre. Great staff. Good variety of snacks not overly expensive and above all, comfortable seating to enjoy the movie from a list that usually has something for pretty much every age group. Will be back.
Good movie theatre! Central location and easy to get to using transit. Great for groups and university students, especially with the cheap Tuesdays. Friendly staff and clean washrooms. Seating in theatres are pretty decent too.
Pretty nice theatre, arcade could use some work. The DDR machine barely works (the panels are undersensitive and you need to stomp), but that's about the only issue. Would visit again!
A discount theatre, from ticket price to concession is better priced than larger cinemas. Decent forgiven film selection consistently.
Pretty good theatre, they offer Atom ticketing so you can skip the lines and just go ahead to the concessions, screen areas. Washrooms are pretty clean and have good dryers and sanitary options. Seats are comfortable, can be reserved and also some are reclining.
This theater is good because it's never busy, but the popcorn is not the best. They also have a better pop machine, I love making a peach sprite. Very clean theaters, and friendly staff.
Fantasic seating , best selections in movies and very easy to get to by transit, walk and drive. Great staff
Nice place just wish had more movie deals like cineplex
I usually go on Tuesdays, cuz it's $7.99 all day. But I prefer this place over Cineplex. The staff is friendly and I enjoy using the Atom app.
Pretty easy to access, ticket prices are pretty good, and it's never too packed.
The theatre is a bit outdated in terms of equipment and seating but they do a good job in customer service and event planning. It's usually not very packed as this area is on the upper floors of Edmonton City Center West. Not a lot of people come here because of the cost of parking. (Which by the way is never free. ) But if you bus, its a great place to go for opening weekend.
I like this theatre the prices are good it's not overly busy. I actually like it better than the big Megaplex Cinemas.
Lines move quick, comfortable seats, clean bathrooms.. No fire breathing dragon tho so 4 stars
Awesome place. Very clean. Staff is nice too.
Small but cute. Ice cream is not the best ????
When buying tickets there is assigned seating. Personally I like it but just wanted to put that out there. Their screens are smaller than what Cineplex has, but the theatres have less traffic so it's usually much quieter and less crowded. Their popcorn is topnotch and they have drink machines that offer a wide range of extra flavors to add to a side selection of drinks, including as vanilla, cherry, and orange flavoring. The entire theater is very clean! Also Im not sure if this matters to many people but the armrests on their chairs flip upward, which is fantastic for dates :) Sometimes the other patrons can be.....unpleasantly loud and sometimes even slightly agressive...My family hasnt has a lot of bad experiences here, its just that the mall itself, being downtown, serves some interesting people.
2019 new concession options of mini pizzas and a few other items, they really should expand the hot food items it really would do well for them.. possibly even alcohol sales if possible ????
This Landmark theatre is located at the heart of downtown Edmonton which may cause a little trouble especially for the people who are driving. The Calgary Landmark is pretty big and located separately with a huge free parking space. However, Edmonton theatre is inside the mall where the parking is paid. Nevertheless, the theatre is comfortable and you can enjoy movies with popcorn and drinks. We found the chairs are comfortable. I would recommend this place.
Comfortable sitting and has lots of space between rows
Was a good date night, quiet theatre and refills on popcorn and drinks!
Decent theater, but could do with competition downtown to make them step up their game. Usually understaffed and the men's washrooms are always under maintenance.
""Film selection is decidedly mainstream."" Oh noes. It isn't the only theatre in town, bub, and wow, I hear niche films go to those niche theatres. In all seriousness, I think this theatre threads the needle between niche and normie pretty well.
Seniors day. Matinée. Hardly anyone there. Love it.
This is one of my favourite movie theatres. Its quiet and great prices
Theatre one is far too quiet.
The chairs were comfortable and I really enjoyed the movie, popcorn and treats.
Was there for a private function. Everything went off without a hitch!
Enjoyable night out with the family. Very clean and professionalable
Needs work
Brought back memories from when I was a kid but haven't updated the theatre in 20 yrs lol
Great seats, lots of theatres what more can you ask for.
Friendly, affordable, socially distanced viewing. It's so nice to get out.
Love how quiet this theater is last time I went there were 7 other people in with me
this theater has great old school vibes. it is often very quite and plays a great variety of films. I do miss the pretzels though.
This theatre needs some speaker upgrades. The sound is always too loud, but lack bass...
Great movies, friendly people and good food (popcorn and nachos).
Best theater ever. Best rates.
Great place to watch movies. Sets are comfortable. My experience here was wonderful .I will definitely watch my next movie here.
The cinema is fine; conveniently located, comfortable seats, adequate sound. They have the basic munchies, and handle Atom advance purchases pretty much on time. It's too bad that the options for having a drink or a meal nearby are so dismal, and there is no decent, safe parking for your bicycle.
Honestly love this theater. There is never a crowd and I always get my favourite seat. They even had pretzeldogs last time I went and the previous 3 theaters were sold out everytime i went. I think people just dont want to pay for parking at the hotel so if you are near an LRT it might be worth the fare to pick this theater and watch a movie in comfort.
First time going to this theater to see a movie that was already out and gone from the Cineplex, seats were great and theater seemed good. Much better than my local theater
It is difficult to share with the Corona virus but I was the only person there with 9 screens. They are still open so that is good. Hope for normal again.
Cozy seats. Good eats. Great movie
Not to busy and great theater to go to, seats are comfy and reserved seating
Nice theater ???? Friendly staff
cinema in the heart of the city great selection of movies friendly staff Previous visits Will be Watching "Slender Man" Previousvisit Will be watching "hereditary" scary movie previous visit Will be watching Justice League
Just saw Endgame in 3D for $12.99 in very comfy reserved seats. The concession area was understaffed & a bit slow. I feel this was a far superior experience than any Cineplex.
The theatre is nice and quiet. Went to a movie at 6:30 pm on a Friday and we were almost the only ones in the theatre. That said it's a little older and the sound wasn't great.
????????????I quite enjoyed seeing Movies there the staff were friendly and my god the choice of Ale is incredible I l????ve my Ale and carbonated drinks that you everyone whom I get along with all the staff all the incredible people who keep things in fruition I really appreciated seeing lord of rings that batman the Marvels movies don't you totally hate those slavery movies feel Good too hold hand with light skin women in malls and acquainted don't and didn't it Anyway Akeem Ricardo Wade Ross I'd personally l????ve a better brighter future I am a interracial advocate I feel like oonly light skin women fully understand a Black man like myself I'd l????ve all the money personally see what we can all do too make this happen hopefully I have impressed yall all the Wholesoome non bias people and residents of Edmonton Alberta North America and the ????W????rld???? contact me help Akeem Ricardo Wade Ross become a Trillionaire feel good too have all them likes and matches don't it ... thank you all my and our investors don't hesitate too contact me you have soomething constructive and optimistic too say all the renowned scientists and researchers contact me as well amen thank you Edmonton Alberta ????????Can????ada???????? soome one once said learn my place well that was and usually is podium so thank you all my former coaches and staff all my teachers and there educators (Segregation in Chicago but soome Caucasian Women shoeing me l????ve at least that feel good )... ????????????????⚽️????????????????????⚾️
Took my 4 year old granddaughter Everly and my daughter Stephanie to see Mary Poppins Returns, what a joy it was.
Went to see Bohemian Rhapsody. If it wasnt for the sketchy people around the theatre and in the mall; it would have 4 stars.
Great place except when they stick a quiet talking sort of film in an auditorium beside a noisy super hero film and the sound of the explosions can be heard above the dialogue. Specific quibble aside, still a regular customer.
Their sound system might not be the loudest or most up to date, but it is a cozy theater which is usually not busy. I prefer this theater to Cineplex.
Going downtown for a movie is not my first choice, but the theaters aren't usually full. This means you can see new movies on their opening weekend and not have to fight for a spot. The concession is good, when there is enough staff. Overall, good theater.
The theatres are good enough but the air conditioning in each theater is horrible. It is so cold in the theatres we were all shivering even though we used our down jackets as blankets. It was blowing so hard it was windy and blowing our napkins. So unnecessary at any time of year let alone when it is -26C outside
This is a fantastic cinema. Seats are reservable, concession is quick and the coca-cola freestyle machines are awesome!
My favorite theater in Edmonton, never too crowded. The staff are friendly, and the food options and shows they play are always great. The theaters are always clean and comfortable. I will always come here if I have a choice of theaters.
To good
Is wheelchair accessible and go on Tuesdays for a discount! Often show independent films not shown on Cineplex.
Great prices when compared to Cineplex theatres that include popcorn refills (you won't find these anywhere else) AND a freestyle Coke machine that houses many more options than a standard concession would (did i mention refills?). Seating is at a lowered angle than usual but is very comfortable and spaced very well with lots of leg room and room to the sides. Offers many more candy options (for a huge discount when compared to Cineplex) with no dumb rules about which ones can be included in a combo.
THE SEATS HERE MY GUY!! THEYRE FIIIIRE SO MUCH ROOOOOOMM!!!
I went to see a movie at this theatre. I was using a gift card. I bought it from the theatre from when it was called empire theatres. So now they refused to let me use my gift card. Thanks for scamming me out of $50. If you are paying with a gift card I wouldn't reccomend even going because they may scam you as done for me.
Generally good selection of first run films. Almost never over crowded. Better priced than the larger cinemas.
Great seats VIP experience for regular shows. No wifi and no rewards programs towards free movies or discount food
Went to see spiderman and it was good ????. Pop corn on point and food on point.
This theatre is definitely the hidden gem of city center. No line ups....great food...polite staff.....inside City center mall so even on the coldest days you can make an evening of it. Do some shopping have a lovely meal, see a movie, then stay overnight all without setting foot outdoors. Only a short walk from Rogers place as well. The less people that know about this place..the happier I am :0.
As someone who occasionally prefers to go to a movie alone - this this place is amazing for that. It's it's always very tidy and tranquil and overall it offers a really good movie theater experience. I recommended this place to any moviegoer!
This is a tough review, I love the theater, it's small, and the staff is very friendly. But this mall has a serious problem with panhandlers in the mall. Went for a little shopping , a quick bite at Fionn before the movie, and had about 8 panhandlers ask for money, followed us while in the mall. It will deter me and many others from coming. Mall security has to deal with this
Went to see bohemian rhapsody so
The theatre is a shadow of what it use to be. When it was Empire Theatres there was more arcade games, and ticket game you could play and get prizes... Well they don't even use 1/3 of the space for games now. The theatre also feels old. It's a stone throw away from being a cheep dollar theatre. This includes the fact that they just tape to hold down the carpet, you can see the white wall patch jobs since they don't repaint. Oh... And let's not forget the mouse I watch run along side the wall.
This is my favourite theater in Edmonton. Rarely any lines and some of the best popcorn in the city.
It's probably the quietest major theater in Edmonton. My favorite place to go see a Hollywood style movie on an opening weekend. It is downtown so parking will cost you $5 for the evening in the west parking garage but because you get to avoid the crowds, it's worth it.
I've been coming here for years and it's great to have this in the neighborhood and to anyone who wants to catch a flick it's not a bad place to stop
Clean, rarely crowded, lots of options at the snack bar, easily accessible by transit, and really really comfortable seats. Also staff are pretty chill.
Come here if you don't like crowded theater. Park at West Parkade for a discount.
First time here and venturing away from cineplex. Popcorn and pop refills are dope. The seats were unreal definitely worth going here over cineplex. Unless something is in imax I will probably always go here. Nice touch of comfort ????????
Conveniently located in the city centre. Ticket price is cheap. I do find they don't get all the movies I'm interested in
I love this place. It's so much better than the bigger chain theatres. I hope it stays around.
Very well located...downtown Edmonton...I like their cheap Tuesdays...one time the movie didn't have audio and they offered all affected movie goers that show....free tickets to whatever movie came next...yay!
They have these cool coke machines.
Better than Cineplex ????
One of Edmonton's best theaters. Rarely overcrowded, never sticky floors, most comfortable seats I've found.
Pretty sketchy as it's city centre. Always pretty dirty. Washrooms are not clean. But cheaper and accessible. Theatres are okay, the one in St Albert is definitely much better.
A nice place to go see movies. It’s usually not very crowded so it’s a pretty quiet place. I like going there to see movies on their opening day/weekend.
I didn't really enjoy my time in this place, then again I watched a horrible movie and that might have tainted my experience. The service was terrible, there were only about two or three people working there, and the guy at the concession stand picked his nose while getting my popcorn. The place was a ghost town, barely any costumers, I don't know whether that was a good or a bad thing; at least I didn't have to wait in a line. I had coupons for free popcorn, that was the only good thing about my whole experience.
Wen to see a movie was good very nice staff an not very busy
Good place for matinees, still fairly comfortable. Difficulty for parking.
Its fun day with my son,Nice movie
No IMAX here. But decent theatres
Hidden gem, didn't even know about it until my friend recommended it. Came to watch the new Spider-Man movie and had a great experience. …
I went to the Black Panther pre-show and had a disgusting experience. It ruined my entire night. I was so disgusted that I froze in taking action. I bought popcorn and when I took my first few bites I bit into something hairy. I want to throw up just describing it. The seats in the theater are not comfortable and the screens not the best. We chose our seating and when we arrived we had people in our seats which turned out to be a drama to move. Overall experience was just ruined and awful. Loved the movie though and went to see it again with my kids at Cineplex Odeon Scotia Bank Theatres:)
It's a pretty standard movie theatre that will completely meet your expectations, but will not exceed them.
Bathrooms needed tending too which makes you wonder how clean everything is.
Nice clean theater with very friendly helpful staff
Edmonton International Film Festival's Official Venue since 2010. Best projection in the City, helpful and thoughtful staff, comfy seating, fresh snacks and close proximity to a selection of restaurants/pubs. Our faves are Fionn MacCool's and Zenari's. Thank-you Landmark Cinemas!
A nice place to watch a movie. Staff are friendly and very helpful.
Nice theatre, usually quiet. But prices sometimes are way too high for everything
Chairs are kinda getting dated and uncomfy, but still better than having to drive into the big city!
Good cinema. Clean and lots of staff. Good popcorn too
Was great! The 2 young guys Graham and Darrion were very welcoming and had good sense of humor and our movie was great too! Nice and slow on a Monday night ????????
Love this theatre! Theatres are roomy, staff are awesome, seats are comfy and the popcorn is the BEST in the City.
It's my preferred theatre for watching movies casually. Planning movie watching with friends is much easier due to its convenient location. It's its biggest strength, especially since Cineplex covers the extreme ends of the city. The workers are pretty swift and don't bother me, but there are ticket machines there as well. However, the theatre is at the very top of the mall, so you will need to run-walk from street level if you only got 5 minutes to spare! For the theatre itself, it was fairly clean. The seats feel wider than Cineplex and I definitely feel less squished here. However, I felt the screen felt bigger at Cineplex, both for normal and bigger capacity spaces. This may be due to distance or what other factors. It doesn't impact experience, however. For bigger capacity, the seats incline is lower than Cineplex. For normal capacity, the seats incline is about the same. I think Cineplex has better sound across the board.
Best movie theatre in the city. Hidden gem with friendly staff, great seats, and a wide-ranging concession. It’s been my go-to for an easy night out for a decade now.
Management and staff go out of their way to make sure since the reopen that people Have a safe and welcoming environment. I found both members of management that …
The theater and staff were absolutely awesome. Good move with the Coke freestyle machines. What Edmonton is missing is more Landmark Cinemas.
Always have a great time here. Friendly staff and there is always a wide selection of snacks available for whatever you feel like having. Also I went with my cousins during the Edmonton International Film Festival and it didnt feel crowded at all. Well done!!
Clean location. Was a bit crowded but everything else was good.
The theatre was comfortable but it smelled a little like a hockey locker room. Using the Atom app to get your tickets and snacks is amazing at no extra cost. As soon as you walk up to the concession your snacks are ready to go
Great staff, good concessions. Mostly not packed and free city centre parking at some times. Well worth visiting.
Hidden gem! Provides all new movie releases at competitive costs. It is never to busy. Although the screens are a little smaller the viewing experience is much better since your not crammed like sardines into a movie theater.
The cinemas is not bad and the Tuesday offer is very good. You could watch any movie for just $8.
Fast, friendly and great customer service.Convienient location with real butter for your popcorn to!
Theatre appears to have been refurbished as all the seats are in good shape and clean. I like that fact that they do reservations. Great if you are at City Centre but parking is expensive.
It's not super busy here and I LOVE the Wednesday deal!! And a free refill on a large popcorn!! Yes please.
So happy that it's open again!
Sincerely, I don't want to use bad worlds, but I really Do Not think their worker friendly at all. For really real.
Favorite theater in the city. Staff is friendly, the establishment is kept neat and clean. I still can't figure out why this place isn't busier but I wont complain.
Great price for seniors on senior day .They have a nice collection of movie to watch
Theatre is par for the course, but wait times at concession stands seemed a bit long for cinema standards. I am well aware that it is not the busiest theatre in Edmonton so usually the staff they have is adequate for their regular volume but with big blockbusters coming out management should anticipate higher volume and have more staff to accommodate the crowds. TLDR; Long waits at concession with big blockbusters, come early for snacks.
Edmonton‘s best kept secret in movie going. If you have ever wanted a whole row or theatre to yourself this is your place. You will feel like you are at a private showing. We saw Star Wars there and it was pretty much just us. Refills on popcorn, generous seats that recline. My shoes didn’t stick to the floor. The staff is kind and courteous. Paying $5 for parking may be a deterrent, as well as the rancid smells in the parkade entrance, but it’s all part of the adventure to go downtown, and catch a show.
comfortable chairs and an amazing soft drink selection. food options more limited than cineplex however
I live around the corner & thought I'd catch a show in the evening. If your show is at 9, they lock the gates soon after and it takes about ten minutes to unlock. I'm surprised they close so early since I've paid for & attended other theatres for last showings & gotten there without being shut out. Who likes to sit through 15 minutes of commercials? The manager mentioned security reasons for early closure but they actually locked out two of their patrons. When I worked a box office, the manager would get us to wait 15 minutes for latecomers before cash out. At least I got a refund and otherwise the customer service is usually much better - two stars.
It's an old theatre without any updates. The seats were uncomfortable and definitely not the standard of the new Landmark theatres. Definitely a cheap theatre, so ticket prices are a bit high for what you don't get. The Atom app also doesn't work for this location for the concession.
Nice comfortable chairs. Free refills on large.
Very clean, well maintained and updated theater with convenient location. The seats are very comfortable and adjustable. Good food, nice staff and outstanding services. Overall good experience
Great theatre. Concession high prices but the movie was a give away. Eighth grade very realistic.
Cinema experince was ok but in night time outside of the mall is pretty sketchy place
Nice theater to go to and usually pretty dead during the day.
Great seating so comfortable very clean. My go to when I can free parking on Sundays
Get there a little early. Lines are a bit long at the counter but a great experience over all!
A nice cheep theatre that has advanced better than the food court at the city centre mall. The movie theatre has really good popcorn and snacks. The best time to go to the theatre is during the afternoon. There are only ever a max of 4 other people and you can have a theatre basically all to yourself which can make for a very nice date night.
It's clean, has a good variety of movies, comes at a great price, and everyone who works here is quite friendly! It's really a great place to catch a movie since it's not very busy. I hope this theater stays here for a long time, since it seems quite well run!
This theatre is a victim of its neighborhood. Unfortunately, the city is quite rough in this area, and this theatre is subject to vandalism and poor hygiene. Which is a shame because its so close to the ICE district. There is a lot of potential at this theatre. Hopefully they can find a way to spruce it up and keep it that way.
Overall really great theatre. This one is usually super quiet so it's a great one to go to for opening weekends. It's cheaper then Cineplex and the concession has more options. This time two of the four coke machines were not carbonated, which was a minor pain. Parking in the lot attached to the theatre is also expensive ($10), but if you go to either of the ones to the east or west is it a little cheaper ($5)
Awesome place to go watch new movie that comes out. Was awesome watching avengers infinity war here.
First movie in many months! Good social distancing made me feel safer.
Theatre was clean, not overly crowded, seats were comfortable, arm rests went up, and reasonably priced. Although the popcorn was overly salty and the screen seemed smaller than other theatres.
Why is this still closed what’s going on
Very convenient location downtown. Prices are worth it.
The city center location pales in comparison to the much more attractive and diverse Cineplex theatres in the city. I personally would not like to pay for parking at the city center parkade and then sit for 2 hrs in a dirty old seat trying to figure out where that smell is coming from.....
Attend their weekly on seniors day been busy with personal matters in the family going back and forth to Vancouver but look forward to continuing and September management and staff have been very cordial and polite and responding to my complaints and very impressed with management from DownEast and his generous gift
It's a theatre. Screen size was meh. The movie I saw was not an audio adventure so can't comment on the quality.
kind of hateful that other reviewers feel "aboriginals" can be lumped together and classified as low life scum. for the record, i'm aboriginal, attended as a paying customer, I have a masters level university education and no, my band didn't pay for a dime of it, I have student loans like everyone else, and I don't try to pick fights with other patrons at this movie theatre. Sorry you had a bad experience with "Aboriginals/Natives' but those individuals don't represent our entire race, you r acist jer ks.
I like this theatre. Never super busy, well at least compared to the theatre in West Edmonton Mall. Good location if you are staying downtown or wanting to go to the movies after work. Lots of restaurants close by the location.
We saw Star Wars here last night in theatre 1. Comfy chairs. Warm, thank God! I always regret not bringing my sweater to Cineplex theatres, and I'm sure as heck not wearing my winter coat. I'm glad they dimmed the lights when the movie came on. Good picture and audio. My only complaint is the location. Right in downtown. Top floor of City Centre Mall. Bit of a confusing trek if you haven't been before. No free parking.
Understaff. There were only 3 people in concession with a massive line up, have to wait almost an hour to get our food. I feel terrible for people who works here. They look very exausted taking 100+ customer per person!!!!!! ???? Manager should hire/put more people in concession.
Great place. Comfy seats, great picture quality and sound quality.
Great theater. Good atmosphere.
I liked the movie and my popcorn, but the staff were unreasonably rude.
I went to a Thursday evening showing with my girlfriend and after we left we walked straight into hell! The City Centre mall is NOT a safe place to be, the people there are extremely rough and there's a lot of them, we saw a fight between some very unsavory people and there's not enough security to make you feel safe, avoid this place if you can!
Love the renovations! Conveniently located in the downtown core!
Theatre is always clean and often quiet. They have a Coke Freestyle pop machine, and the popcorn is made fresh often.
My favorite theatre. The theatre and washrooms are always clean. The screens are a bit small but I find the chairs comfy. Staff is friendly and seem to get through the lines fast when it's busy. No free parking but it's a short bus ride for me
This movie theatre is super conveniently located in the top floor of city centre mall in the heart of Edmontons downtown. The cinema is a bit dated but ive never experienced an issue with picture or sound quality. The best part about coming here is that despite the great location, it's never crowded. No lines, no fighting to find a seat if you're late, and friendly helpful staff! If you want a quiet, stress free night at the movies, then this is a great choice
Clean theatres. Nice staff. Good selection of snacks and drinks. They offer pop choices we can't even get in the grocery stores. Easy to get too. Lots of parking choices nearby.
Nice, neat, but seats dont recline, lol I'm just spoiled from Cineplex Odeon
Very good clean theatre. Still have to small of seats though.
The bathroom has MUCH better toilet paper! Thanks. Cast members and managment are awsome.
Landmark Cinema City Centre is probably my favorite theatre to catch current movies. It can be a bit hectic on or near opening weekends, and City Centre is the local crime mall, but Landmark has great matinee pricing and Coke Freestyle machines. Another plus is the free underground parking on Sundays in the area. Pricing is standard, if anything it's a bit cheaper than other large chain theatres. Their popcorn is also good, and as I said they have Freestyle machines. Go get yourself some Vanilla Coke!
I enjoy coming there easier way to get that place, and cheaper tickets .
Great movies comfortable seating
A great experience! Clean and conveniently located, playing the latest releases. AMAZING POPCORN ????! ☺️
Great seats and leg room although you will have to pay for parking due to it being in the city centre
Love it here! Never crowded and if you come after 5pm you can park in the west parkade for $5.
I Love this Theater-the staff are Super Friendly and the movies cost less/ me and my friends go almost every week????
Pretty clean and the place is empty so you can always watch the movie without anyone making noise.
Our family have always came here. Comfy big seats, parking and staff are friendly. Andnits never crowded
Crossed the city and rushed there cause I was running late to catch the last showing of a movie. I was about 5min later than the advertised movie time (so about 10min from movie actual start). I got there and all the doors were locked, no staff to be seen anywhere at the front. I stayed there 5 minutes and even knocked. I can't believe they lock this whole thing up as soon as the last movie time hits! What about the people that might be a bit late to get there? Movies don't start at the advertised time, there's always about 15min of trailers and all... To save on staff they often remove staff from the front and get you to buy your tickets at the concession stand. Where's the service at that theatre?
Reserved seating, convenient location, and friendly staff.
Very nice and quaint. Great for a date night
We went there but they took the movie off for viewing. We had to go to south common which was ok. A little disappointed.
Always intimate. Nice to have a brew by the restuarant near it and watch a movie after.. nice to spend an entire evening there.
Always empty no matter what new movie is out haha. Its the best kept secret. No line ups!
Theaters are great parking is difficult. Plan ahead. Some meters and the parkade may still be $10 for evening parking.
Excellent, my favourite theatre in the city. Prices are the best you'll find, along with quality service, clean environment and good food.
Great prices, reserved seating in every theater and the popcorn is better than Cineplex and they have the fancy Coke pop machines... Any flavour you want.
Cheaper than Cineplex and convenient if you are close to downtown. Does not have all the latest expensive movie "experiences' but you don't always need that.
My kids loves this place. Sadly, arcade and other games are out of service.
Enjoy this theater often, they might think about putting in the seats that recline in one of the show rooms. Works well in Calgary, AB. Also, the Nacho's I had today tasted old and gross. Possibly a different brand. We are paying $ 7 just for nacho's & processed cheese. Make it worthwhile please.
Theater 1 stinks !!! Do they clean these theaters ? From the stink of mildew and deplorable lack of cleanliness I would say probably not. Here's a tip to the manager, clean your theater it stinks, also might want to have hotdogs ready at 5om before the movies start. Worst theater experience EVER !
My favourite place to watch a film when there's one I want to see because of the restaurants for before and the bars for after. Excellent audio and visual quality, good seats, good mix of movies (some blockbusters, some art films) food is good, (but there are tons of better options nearby Downtown.) Lots of parking. You can walk indoors to three LRT Stations (Central Station (through Manulife Place and Commerce Place.) is the shortest walk.) I don't recommend the washrooms in the facility. For washrooms, use the mall washrooms on the second floor, or Hudson's Bay's washrooms, or best yet, use the ones at your restaurant before or your bar after (Fionn MacCools is right next door.)
Ticket prices great could use abit of a upgrade
Love it!!
Theatres may be smaller, but you get that classic theatre vibe from the 90s. The seats are far better spaced out and much more comfy then the Scotiabank theatre. Popcorn even tastes better and tickets are cheaper. Also gets select films that larger theatres don't pick up. Highly Recommended
It's a lot less crowded than most theaters in the city, easy access by bus or train and the new drink machines are great. Love beong able to get Vanilla coke zero for a movie.
Everyone who wrote a positive response to this movie theatre clearly has not been to a Cineplex theatre movie theatre in Edmonton....not the VIP, just the regular theatres. Landmark was grossly overpriced. For one senior and one adult we paid $40 for a Sunday matinee and for one large popcorn and two medium pops PLUS we had to pay $8 in parking which took our "movie experience" at the Landmark theatres to $48. In comparison, we can buy a Cineplex Odeon certificate from Costco or AMA (which is comparable) and pay $25 for EXACTLY the same thing (entrance and snacks) MINUS the parking. As well, the seats at the Landmark are smaller, the theatre itself is way smaller...not a lot of seating. There were only two people working a busy concession so you are standing in line FOREVER. The only thing Landmark has going for itself is that it's clean....but then again, I find the Cineplex theatres just as clean. I will NEVER go back to Landmark Theatres. If the City is trying to promote people to come downtown, they are doing a TERRIBLE job with the sky-rocketed prices for EVERYTHING!!!
Please stop advertising the "free parking in the parkade after 5pm". This offer hasn't been honored at the parkade for months, and they even have a sign at the booth that they do not honor it.
Fair ticket prices, decent concession with a minimal wait, good show times, large theatres with good audio/video, and comfortable seats.
My go-to theatre living downtown. Lots of space and a good selection every time I go.
Great location and selection of shows but pricey
Great movie theater clean bathrooms snacks are a little expensive but thats to be expected
Clean theatres, friendly staff. The pop machines rock with an amazing selection of low calorie/no sugar drinks.
Went to the 5:45 show and they were out of pretzels. Momma Mia was good, seats were comfortable and theatre was clean. Parking access was blocked after the movie from City Center.
Theater and washroom were disasters. Concession had cotton candy on display but when tried to purchase it were told we couldn't because it was expired....ummmm...
Very clean and well maintained.
My favourite theater in Edmonton after many years of watching films here
Service was very good and the snacks were good. The price was better than Cineplex.
I have seen many movies this theatre over the years and it has always been a consistently good experience. Even on opening weekends, there is always fast and efficient service from the staff. The theatres themselves are always very clean. The seats are comfortable, the popcorn is fresh and the washrooms are always sparkling clean. If you're in the area and have some time to kill, this theatre is a great place to spend an afternoon!
Good movie theater. Slightly lower quality than the good ones, but you get it a lower price as well, so there's that
Went to see the Edmonton film festival here seats are extremely comfortable as well as great staff show support I'd really hate to see this place go BC's of covid
Nice and not too busy...perfect
Would honestly say this theatre is the best in edmonton in terms of service and most importantly the amount of people in the theatre. While it lacks in the premium screenings ie imax or dbox, etc. It makes up for its food(free refills on drinks). It amazes me how clean this theatre is and how very few people go to this theatre, the selection is decent. Overall great experience will recommend.
I like this location simply because no one else seems to know it's there. Often get to see movies with very few people around. They also tend to play smaller films, which is nice.
Cool theatre. They often show flicks that aren't paying at any of the other major cinemas.
My fav cinema. Matine showings best time to see a movie. Distancing practiced a bonus ????????
Ordered on door dash. After 1 hour of waiting, 10 minutes after estimated delivery they cancel the order. Was for simple items like popcorn… very frustrating
Amazing atmosphere, low key location!
Great theater. Clean, never too crowded, friendly staff. One time I saw a movie here and was the only person in the theatre. It was great, I felt Oprah rich. Oh, and you can reserve seats online now, which is obviously great.
The halls and food are pretty good.
Best popcorn in the city, movie ticket prices are good. Great if you live downtown or use Transit.
Very polite and friendly staff, super clean!
It's not the same as at Albert landmark. And driving downtown is always a displeasing experience.
Seats are decent, theaters clean , but the popcorn isn't worth $6.
