Placed several orders online and have had treats like chips, frozen desserts crushed and destroyed every time. Cereal too, like almost all the sherddies crushed in a 1.24kg box! Too many times to be an accident and I mean like every chip crushed or frozen cakes obviously squished by hand. Wouldn't recommend buying fresh or easily damaged goods off the pick up no contact options. Kinda sucks during a pandemic as the whole point was to not enter the store and then have 3-5 items destroyed. Only orders of canned items and frozen vegetables and seriously only because of there being only 2 grocery stores to choose from.

Totally not impressed with this store today..price went in wrong with item told the cashier..she had no problem adjusting the price without looking or confirming..but as soon as i told her its free( store policy)then she said she had to call and check ..losing my patience because i had everything checked in ..ready to pay but had to wait another 10 minutes for her to fix the problem when she was all ready to adjust the price previously. After the first few minutes of her looking dazed and confused i ran through the store to get her the tag of the price. Her attitude was very inappropiate and as much as she was making me frustrated i did not tell her what i really thought of her customer service. Not impressed!

Although you can find pretty much anything from any region or culture you want here, I do find the layout a bit confusing. There's really no friendly staff, or actually any staff to speak of insight, except the meat department and they are very friendly and accommodating.

One star is one too many. So frustrated with this store! I imagine that it’s not the only Loblaws owned store that has done this as I know that Shoppers Drugmart is also trying to force people to use self checkouts. There was 4 people using the self checkout and 6 of us waiting to use the one and only manned checkout. I spent nearly as much time standing in line that I did picking up my buggy full of groceries! I asked a clerk about opening a second checkout and her response was that she was out there to “help us”? Did she open up a register? Did she help bag? Nope…. She stood there watching the customers stand in line. When another till was opened it was the express lane. Ha!!!! A slap in the face? What ever happened to customer service? Unfortunately there is only one other place to shop in town, and I do use them as well. Fortunately they don’t expect you to work for them yourself for free! This is not an issue with the staff, rather than with upper management trying to force people to use self checkout so that they don’t need to hire and pay staff. If I could afford to not shop here I wouldn’t.

We drive down from Cheticamp for a wider range of food. A little disappointed to drive 2 hours and find the store lacking in organics. The fridges in the health food section are gone and they seem to have stopped selling certain products :( Two weeks til Christmas and no Tofurky roasts? This is our usual grocery store, but today they did not have the zero gravity chair that I was looking for. I was told it was because they are the smallest Superstore. I don't know for what geographical area the staff member was referring to, but I normally find everything I want. The staff is very friendly and the store is always clean and has a lot of reduced items, so you can save money if you keep your eyes open.

It usually has a lot of variety. Right now there is a motorcycle rally in town so so some things are flying off the shelves and they are having trouble keeping merchandise stocked. That is understandable since there are more visitors than residents here right now. Great place to shop!

Often don't have what I am looking for. Very rarely is there staff available on the floor in order to ask questions. Yesterday there was not even anyone staffing the customer service desk when I had a question. Poor. My biggest and very serious concern is the extremely poor techniques used in the delicatessen dept. Staff do not know even the basics of safe food handling. Until fairly recently they did not wear gloves when serving clients who are purchasing bulk salad or meat products. Yesterday, I observed that the lady serving another customer did indeed put gloves on. Yeah! I had spoken to the manager about this some time back. However, yesterday as the staff member was about to dish up a salad product into a small container, she fumbled with the large spoon which subsequently slide down the entire length of her arm over the cardigan she was wearing. Guess it likely also hit the elbow area where she caughs and sneezes. Yuk! I watched this transaction up close as I was waiting to purchase a production myself - being reassured by the new policy of wearing gloves. I changed my mind and walked away. That spoon, which has now been dipped into the main container in the display case and also the customer's take-home one should have been put into the dishwasher and thoroughly cleaned before using. The staff in the deli desperately need training in safe food handling and issues of cross contamination. I am a retired nurse and understand that about which I speak. Back to shopping at Sobeys where they do things right!

Superstore fan. They generally carry products difficult to find in this neck of the province. Also carry good selection of seafood fresh and frozen. If you can't find something be sure to ask an employee. Chances are they will find the product in an aisle where it did not occur to you to look. And often there is fresh produce in the storage fridges that has not been shelved yet, especially when it comes to fresh herbs!

This superstore location is the worst. We always have to check the expiry dates on everything we buy here because everything is out of date. We’ve gotten expired bread, milk, lunch meat, and breakfast bars (the bread actually had mold on it). Because the location is far from where we live, we rarely have the opportunity to return said items and we end up having to rebuy everything elsewhere. If you must shop here ALWAYS check the expiry dates! Last time we were there we were overcharged $10 for toilet paper. So check your receipts as well! Or just avoid this location altogether and go to Sobeys.
