I can't believe that for One Child and One Adult with consessions cost $70. I don't even know how people afford it. Thankfully Cineplex Millbrook is updated and the layout is modern compared to our local theatre. Still absolutely ridiculous pricing.

they prebox popcorn apparently when they feel a push in advance. so when i thought i was purchasing the fresh popcorn that i could see and smell, then got a box out off the heated shelf and the guy went over to the fresh and threw a bit on top. When i asked why i wasn't given the fresh, he stated that he was doing me a favour by topping it up. A favour would have been to give me the popcorn that's currently popping and fresh, i'm paying top dollar for stale popcorn that'd been sitting for half an hour..

Absolute joke of a cineplex and thats pretty hard to accomplish. I have had the worst viewings and customer service in this cineplex. It is unclean, equipment has malfunctioned during various movies that I have been in and most of the staff are rude or have no idea what they are doing. I dont usually write reviews, but after tonights waste of my time, it was the last straw to tip me over the edge enough to write this. I got there 10 minutes late for the 9:40 showing of Thor:Ragnarok, my friends were allready inside holding my seat. I walk up to the doors and they are locked. I stand outside waving and knocking at employees and all they did was look at me and go back to what they are doing. Which brings me to when I guess my knocking finally annoyed someone working enough to come open the door just enough to tell me that its too late and they have everything shut down, that was at 10:10, I stood out there doing that for 20 minutes. How in the world does that work when you have a 9:40 showing, no way to run the business I could not be more livid.

Good experience, price' s are ridiculous. $40 dollars for two large popcorn , two large pops and two bags of candy is way to much. When it Was literally 18.99 for two movie passes.

What a lousy experience. Not only did we have to move because the couple next to us were loud and disrespectful of others around them, eating something out of a bag and talking. 6 out of 10 times we have to move, because of the food that is being consumed next to us in packaging that is noisy. What are you a theatre or a restaurant? After the show we both went to the bathroom and there was no paper towel in the dispenser in both men and women bathroom. The movie was excellent, but the pleasure greatly diminished by ignorant people who care not for other patrons.

always has a terrible movie selection. after seeing a movie trailer online, you may be excited to see it when it comes in theatres. cineplex truro will ruin that for you. they dont play all new movies that come out, but will keep marvel movies in theatres for 2+ months. i wish i knew who chooses the movie selection because i would make a direct complaint to them.

It's not so much a dislike, but more like same old. Took the family to see Frozen 2. The food could really be so much more of a draw than it is, I was excited to get some nachos and cheese... fake cheese. The chips were old, stale, and the cheese is now in the little containers. I couldn't even finish them. I wish the prices were lower, get in bed with Doritos and drop the price of food and tickets. The movies could well be a thing again as I love the experience.

Great modern theater with large screens, fantastic sound, and stadium seating. The over inflated prices for concessions are an unfortunately common theme these days. If you want popcorn get there early because they are always under staffed. If you get your ticket at the automated machine in the entry you'll save a lot of time. Don't go on cheap night unless you want to hear yahoos talking all through the movie.

Good to get back to the "Big Screen". Good COVID setup with seating dispersed to allow for distancing. Theater 1 could use a "deep" clean as the floors were "sticky" as we walked down the row and the cloth chairs are visibly dirty and need a "steam" / fabric clean. Staff are very friendly.

Absolutely absurd prices for food, the website and the app both don't show you any accurate show you any showtimes, and when you call it's physically impossible to speak to a real person, and when you hit the button that it says will tell you showtimes it hangs up on you. I also went in to get help with a seating issue, the man checking my vaccination info was wonderful and very helpful, but when he directed me to the counter I was greeted by one apathetic and one rude young woman who didn't even let me finish explaining the issue that the man already said could be resolved easily before cutting me off and saying she couldn't do anything. Absolutely abysmal customer service.

We were "greeted" by an unhappy, surly teenager who couldn't even muster a pleasant word. Then we went to the line up and there was no one there to take our tickets. We just read the paper at the ticket booth to figure out what theatre we were in. The movie itself was great except that it seemed a bit dim at times. The popcorn seemed to have been sitting in the bag that was given me for hours. All in all, the poor customer service just gives me one more reason to stay home.

The slowness and lethargic apathy of your staff is offensive. Why are there no adults working here? There is a lineup out the door - we've been in line for 15 minutes and the line has not moved at all. Your all-teenager staff has zero sense of urgency and doesn't care one bit. A failing of the generation, or extremely poor leadership?

Just as good as theaters in Halifax/Dartmouth, but without the big crowds and inconsiderate audiences. Lots of parking and quick line movement. The only fault I can find is multiple lines for the concession counter instead of one snaking line where the first person in line gets the next available wicket. With multiple lines, you sometimes watch a person who arrived after you get served first in another line. Frustrating. Overall, a good experience despite this minor issue.

I find it very clean and comfortable. Concession is up to par. The biggest drawback for me, and why I attend this Cineplex at most once a year, is their selection of films. The odd independent or art film would go a long way to giving this place some distinction and personality. The operas they used to show on weekends was a step in the right direction.

They have taken away the movie experience. Not enough workers, or if there is they don't open more cash registers leading to long waits. Have changed the nacho cheese to a tasteless premade/prepackaged crap. They don't even make the popcorn or other food (pretzels ect.) Fresh anymore. The make them, and keep them in warmers now. And to top it all off you can no longer get refills when buying large drinks or popcorn. As if everything wasn't already overpriced, food costs also went up. You get less value but have to pay more. I no longer enjoy my movie experience.

Man am i disappointed i love going to the movies. Iv been there 100's of times and normally im late hah 1-2 min kinda late though. And i cant recall a time i havnt gotten in. Tonight Feb 16/18 I made it to the cinema at 9:55pm for black panther, it might have been 9:56 when i hit the doors but they where locked and i couldn't get anyones attention!!!! Idk if this is some new system or if they where sold out but i found that very unprofessional maybe i would have bought some popcorn, and someone could have let me know that they cant let me in the movie. Just super upsetting for an advit movie enthusiast. To be 1 min late for 10 min previews. I understand if they've changed the rules but you cant seem to find much for information on it so hopefully a 2 star review will help with that. I love the movies and this is a typical theatre, wish theyd update some stuff. Thanks for your support!

It is so wonderful to be able to go to the theater again! If you are someone who dislikes crowds, this is the best time to go. With limited, assigned seating, you are always sure to be well separated from those around you. Big screen, big sound, fresh hot popcorn and ice cold drinks. It doesn't get any better than that. Would be 5 stars but the theater could use some upgraded seats and new carpeting.
