We already had our tickets and had to queue anyway, and we were misdirected. But with regard to the projection room itself, nothing to complain about, it was very good! (Original) Cinéma assez grand, assez moderne, salles propres et confortables, mais il manquait d'indications/de fléchage, et ce, dès l'entrée dans le hall d'accueil! Nous avions déjà nos billets et avons dû faire la queue quand même, et nous avons été mal dirigés. Mais en ce qui concerne la salle de projection en elle même, rien à redire, c'était très bien!

This is my favorite theatre because it feels old-school, like it hasn't changed since I was a kid. Dimly lit 90s mall basement is my favorite aesthetic. The only reason I take a star off is because this location only offers a limited selection of food compared to the other Theatres. If it had the wraps and poutine that the other Theatres have I would give it a perfect score.

Nostalgia machine for me since this was the theater my family frequented when I was a kid. Nice staff, updated seating...the arcade blows and concessions are outrageously priced it's the theater so you should be used to that.

They don't run the upstairs ticket counter anymore and the machine for looking up your reward card malfunctioned so I couldn't get my points. The popcorn buttering counter was really dirty but I figure it was due to it being a busy Saturday. They don't have trays for popcorn+soda to help carrying it so that's quite sad. They also don't get any big titles here. Movie sucked (but that's not part of their review) 3/5

Cineplex itself is terrible and this out dated location really drives that home. They don't even bother with time play here. No wonder so many movies fail at the box office these days. It's too bad Landmark isn't in Halifax, they are a far superior theater.

This is my favorite theatre in Halifax. It's got no IMAX, no video games, no fancy restaurants like the Bayer's lake and Dartmouth crossing theatres, but it has two awesome things that get it to the five star rating. First, it's got the best, most interactive crowds at any theatre in Halifax. When people go to a funny movie, they laugh out loud. When people go to a scary movie, they scream in fear. This really gets one amped up for the movie, and the interactivity the best reason to go to the movies. Second, this theatre houses Halifax's film festival and often shows special one-offs. For example, at the time of writing, they have a schedule up to show a series of Studio Ghibli movies. Add on top of that decent popcorn, you got a great combo. Two thumbs up.

The chairs are nice and the theatres are big and have great sound. I love the washrooms. They make me feel like I'm in a movie somehow. They have long mirrors and multiple stalls. The only downside of going here over Dartmouth Crossing, is that they don't have a froyo machine

I love going to the movies and this is one of the top three locations. I would say this is number 2. It is number 2 because it is the only place you can see IMAX. The seats are nice and it is usually clan, my only real complaint is that their popcorn is consistently not great. I do not know what they do differently than Dartmouth Crossing but what ever it is makes a huge difference in the taste of the popcorn.

It's a great movie theater in the basement of the park lane mall. The concession is smallish but has most things you'd want. The bathrooms are only on one end, so if you're in theater 8 there's a bit of a trek to get to them (not much though). It's always clean and a comfortable temperature, and the staff are friendly.

What kind of imbecile thought the idea of putting promos for a movie right before I see that exact movie?! I spend an advertising run for a movie avoiding spoilers because I want to go into the movie fresh and then walk in only to have all my caution ruined because they want to advertise a movie I've already bought tickets for, before the movie! Disgusting. If there were any alternative to Cineplex I would gladly bring my money to them, but for now my choice is to show up when the movie starts to avoid spoilers or wait until it's out on iTunes. This is a lovely large theater but we had two problems. The first is there is no parking except for underground. The combination of the cost of the parking and the theater cost us over $40. If we had bought concessions, it would have been more . The second problem is that the theater itself needs a second set of washrooms. The only set is in a long hallway near the popcorn stand and it is a very long walk from most of the theater rooms. We found that we missed a fair amount of the movie just from the walk to the washrooms and back. Other than that, the theaters were clean and the staff were great.

If you're like me, and don't like an extremely crowded night out, this is one of the better theatres in the area. The larger theatres in more trafficked areas tend to be a bit overwhelming, but, in my experience, you'll find that Park Lane (in part, I expect, due to simply being smaller!) is much more palatable in terms of the number of patrons while still playing current and popular movies.

What used to be a reliable location for downtown moviegoers in Halifax has sunken lower and lower since Cineplex took it over, with fewer and fewer basic wide releases showing there. If you're a regular moviegoer with an interest in, well, whatever is release in a given week, it's now necessary to scramble all over the municipality, thanks to Cineplex's baffling programming choices. This cinema is looking tired and past its prime. Employees are friendly though, sadly, there aren't very many of them. Having a cinema at this location is essential because of its perfect location -- but it would be a pleasanter visit if Cineplex put out a wee welcome mat for their customers.

It's a pretty standard Cineplex. Besides their use of space. I like that they took basement level and you still get the whole experience. The location that this meant they could have is great, right downtown. The seats are comfortable. The staff are friendly. Did you know they rent the theatres during the day to Dalhousie? Lectures happen there on occasion because there aren't enough lecture halls. They even have little desks for those occasions. I wish they played fewer 3D movies. Evening showings are usually that. So sometimes I go to the matinee if I can. Food... Overpriced like always.
