The location is easily approachable with a lot of parking spots. The facility is well decorated and clean. We love the popcorns and nachos, they also serve beer now. We also bought speciality items for our movie, Avengers Endgame. The recliner seats are very comfortable and sitting area is wide, washrooms were clean and located on upper floor as well as ground floor. The staff was super friendly and courteous. In short we enjoyed our Friday evening at Cineplex. And we definitely go back again next weekend.

Nice theatre with plenty of screens. Concession line moves quickly. The place can be a bit messy but then so are most theatres. Pre-selecting your seats is a great idea.

If I was rating only on the quality and service at this location I would rate them a 5-stars. We were shocked to find that the theatre was packed and there was no social distancing without any warning or indication when booking the seats. I've spoken to the manager who explained that the new laws allow for this since everyone is already vaccinated but it still made us uncomfortable how many people were so close together and a bit disappointed that we weren't even told of this policy change before we booked. Note that the Cineplex website still says that they social distance between the seats.

One of the better theatres in town. Seating in all theatres is good, many theatres and they offer the enhanced experiences. The games section is a nice addition - we make a point of playing some games while we're there. I've never had any issues at this theatre.

New type of theater experience called The Clubhouse...aimed at kids/families. Soft, padded, easy clean recliner seats (not electric like some places), bright decor and a fun play area available for kids (geared to aged 4 - 12) during the 30 minutes directly prior to show time. My 10 year old absolutely loved it!!!

Although the games may be a little expensive it is a good way to spend your time if your waiting for your movie or had to switch movies. The new recliner seats are absolutly amazing most comfortable theatre I've ever sat in. New movies are shown in up to three different ways to kindly fit any budget. The theatre's layout isn't confusing but i always wonderd why they only had one escalator going in one direction.

With the exception of often slow-moving lines this is a great theatre to go to. I especially love the large and comfortable reclining leather seats, stadium seating, huge arcade and new alcohol service. The introduction of point-of-sale seat selection at no extra cost has also been very helpful.

Nice theatre. The sceeen extends to the sides of the theatre giving you details of what is happening beyond the main screen. Also good covid protocols in place, felt completely safe and comfortable.

You've got to give it to these guys - they're trying. They, like most other theatres, have tried so many things to make the movie-going experience more comfortable. But hey - $37 for two medium popcorns and drinks? No theater upgrades will ever make that easy to swallow.

Pretty decent theater, went last Friday afternoon and the place was almost deserted, there was only two other couples in the theater so it was probably the best experience I've had at the movies in years. Still ridiculously priced though, 2 tickets, 1 lg popcorn, two drinks & 1 candy = close to $60!

Usually we are semi happy and content with this location but today was enough to make me not go back - waited in line for about 25 minutes when we arrived slipped on a spilled liquid at the cash with soggy popcorn in it it was so gross ; finally ordered and my husband ordered nachos and was given like 10 nachos and cold cheese - he said 10 nachos? No that should be more she said she would have to put some trays together and he can come back for it - no ice in our drinks… just disappointing all around. Terrible customer service and product delivery. Movie was good tho :)

OMG the volume was insanely loud. It physically hurt my ears and I had to stuff napkins in my ears just to make the movie barely tolerable. This is the loudest movie I have ever been to in my life! It would have been unbearable without something to dampen the sound and I've have had to walk out. Bring proper ear plugs! Other than that the theaters are quite comfortable, with the reclining seats, and not too crowded with the capacity limits in place.

Took my family to see a movie here last night in 3D. We had an awesome time but for a senior, an adult and 2 children, admission was over $50 and for 1 lg popcorn, 1 lg drink and a small bag of candy was $22.00. So it’s very pricey. But the seats are incredibly comfortable and the 3D effects were great. We honestly loved it.

Great seating here as I believe all theatres now have the big reclining seats with lots of leg room. It gets quite busy but the lines at he concession stands still move fairly quickly. The theatres are nice and clean and again, I have to stress the great seats that recline and have a foot rest. Very comfortable!

I enjoyed the watching movie on big sofas (lazy chairs????????????) and I had a great view of the scene and no ones head was not in the middle of my sight. But the whole place was not neat and clean , or classy. Also you can play with some super old!!! And broken game machines to not bored before your movie starts.

Automated ticket Booth's are nice and fast. Recliners are a big difference along with a big improvement. My only issues I've had are stall popcorn, along with theater 10 having a tear in the screen that shows up depending in the movie.

The movie theatre is great! I've been going to this same theatre most of my life. The seats have just been ungraded and they are SO comfortable! However, my experience at concession during my last visit was less than pleasurable. I had ordered two child combos and did not receive the usual plastic cups. My friend had ordered a number 1 combo which had a promotion which included a new chocolate bar, she did not receive the chocolate bar. After the film, when questioning the concession staff they said they charged us the lower amount and that was why we didn't get the advertised menu items. In the future, I will make sure (because common sense isn't so common aparently) to specify that when I order two kid combos or a number 1, I actually mean the two kid combos and the number 1 advertised on the board! I was pretty annoyed...

This is my favorite location. You can even get alcohol here, and afterwards play at their arcade. The seats are nice and reclining and spacious. They have a huge parking lot so no problem finding spots. I highly suggest that if you are seeing a famous movie to book your tickets online.

Fantastic movie ???????? theatre complex. Overall pretty clean & the recliner seats are super comfy. Lots of parking, food concession is crazy expensive (let’s face it..that’s where the real money is made). Staff are friendly and helpful. Would be good though if escalators would function in both directions in order for people to reach second level.

SHEEEEEEEEEESH THE OG THEATRE FROM THE CHILDHOOD. If I could take a half star away I would because they got rid of the spaceship and other decorations hanging from the ceiling. The Scotiabank ATM is perfect when you need to hit the chino right after a movie like you do. NEVER have I had a bad experience here. We love that.

The place was really nice and clean. The reclining chairs are super comfy. I had never been there before and at first I was overwhelmed because I had tickets from Costco and I didn't know how to use them on the self checkouts and there was no one nearby to help. I was worried because our movie was starting soon. Found out that you can order your tickets at the concession stand. You do not need to use the self checkout. This was a huge help. Popcorn and drinks were cheap because I had bought the package from Costco. After that I bought a bag of skittles and they were $7 ????. Way more expensive then a convenience store. Other than that our experience was good. Staff was nice and helpful.

In the last 5 visits (before and after the lock downs) in 3 I had problems with the projection. Twice they forgot to turn off the lights until almost 15 minutes into the film and once the movie was out of focus for several minutes. People had to go our of the room to complain for the problem to be fixed. The cinema did not restarted the movie neither offer any kind of apology or reimbursement. They simply don't care.

The seat I reserved had garbage all over it and bathrooms were unsanitary. Absolutely disgusting conditions for a business during COVID. Other than that the movie was good however, I would also recommend not getting concession items they are not worth the absurdly overpriced markup.

Decent movie theater with all the bells and whistles. Always lots of parking and the lines are never too long. The popcorn is sometimes stake but they'll give you fresh stuff is you ask for it. They have lots of games and stuff which is great for kids (and kids at heart) to hit up before the movie.

While the movie was exceptional, the theatre is extremely complicated for wheelchairs. You can't do the self serve and instead must stand in line at the concession to get the tickets, then again if you want anything to snack on. Shameful.

Great seats, they have recliners. The popcorn is good but don't pay for extra butter because they just put it on top and you can do that for free from the dispenser by the straws.

If you're looking for a "complete" movie experience, this place is it. They have a large Arcade/Game section (with Air Hockey) and various distractions for children. The dining selections have grown and they are licensed to serve alcohol (beer, ciders and wine) for a hefty price. They have an option for large, recliner seats (would recommend) that could probably fit 2 people. The interior is clean and well-maintained; this is one of the better cinemas in Ottawa.

Great thing is that they have quality screens and sound. Great seats as well. The location is good. They seem to be state of the art in their facilities and amenities. Problem is that it's too busy! Sometimes there's just no seats available. But I guess that's what you get with a quality theatre. There's tons of parking and lots to eat as well.

I watched several movies here, usually once or twice a year whenever I visit my relatives, and every year they keep getting better in a remarkable way!

Has 12 THEATRES 8 SELF SERVE MOBILE ticket pickup, large PUBLIC WASHROOMS on each floor with wheelchair accessible stalls and baby changing stations. Drinking fountains can be found right outside the bathroom. There is a concession stand with multiple registers, as well as an OUTAKES Backstage Bistro, PIZZA PIZZA, and a YO YO Yogurt Cafe. There is a RESTAURANT/BAR and a Shoppers DRUG MART just outside the theatre. The theatre also has a PRIVATE PARTY ROOM and a sizable ARCADE which is great for birthdays. There is both an ELEVATOR and an ESCALATOR, and PARKING is free and abundant. The theatres are equipped with oversize reclining SEATS, and plenty of clearance between rows. The theatres are also equipped with reserved handicap seating. Also has an ATM.

It was a fun watching a movie, Tenet !!, during COVID-19. The seating arrangement is done very nicely in cooperating all the precautions and safety measures. Screens are good so the sound system. Recliners were clear and working very fine. Washrooms were super clean, I was not very impressed with the food service though :(. Most of the things were out of stock. Pop corns were not great, there was no flavors available. This ruins movie experience a bit !! Maybe next time

Good theater. I have probably visited this theater 30+ times. There is always a good line up of movies playing at this location. Good large screens with a wide variety of seating selection. Theaters are typically clean and well managed temp etc. Staff are friendly. Food overpriced as is the case at any other theater. Just grab a coffee before you go!

My go-to cinema because the seats actually recline all the way! Prices have gone up but still not as expensive as some other places. Lines can be a bit long some times. Staff are nice - if you ask them to get you fresh popcorn from the machine, they'll do it without attitude (had stale-tasting popcorn once so now I ask for this). Cineplex app sucks though because there's no way to track your gift cards - can't add them all to your account like other retailers - and can't use more than 1 gift card online to buy tix so you end up with all these g/c with small amounts on them - PITA! I stopped buying and gifting these g/c because of this.

Love that all the seats at this location have been upgraded to the comfy Lazy boys. Washrooms are kept pretty clean. Not sure what difference it makes to add the AVX experience... Didn't notice any difference with it when we saw our last movie.

This is the best Cinema in Ottawa in my opinion! It's generally pretty quiet and you can purchase alcohol, lax back in a lazy boy with ample room. It is often playing all the movies that are out. Its great!

Theatre was great. Social distancing was in place and well done. The bathrooms were absolutely disgusting. We went for a noon and they looked like they hadn't been cleaned for at least two days. You would think during a pandemic they would be a little more attentive to the cleanliness of the washrooms.

A movie is a movie. Usually a great 5***** experience. The food served is so gross looking and tasting i didnt bother making a fuss. I did mention the false advertising and the employee walked away after telling me they are out of the topping *pulled pork*. I took a few bites and there was barely any pulled pork and the hot dog probably sat there for a while. The bun was a bit soggy and very squished. Shame on an industry that takes care of their guests....shame on their lowering standard.

Other downside was that it took 45 minutes to get our tickets and another 25 to get snacks... So make sure you arrive early!

LOVE those big reclining chairs. Tons of leg room, each viewing room is a nice size that you're not packing in hundreds at a time, but a fair amount to feel comfortable and enjoy the movie. Food court, arcade, souvenirs and of course great popcorn.

Went to watch a movie yesterday (8.10pm) and we were in theatre 12. Clearly, there was enough time between shows to get the theatre cleaned and spruced up again before each show but this, was not the case. Instead, the smell TGAT greeted you upon entry and popcorn, drink cups and discarded 3D glasses everywhere making the theatre look more like a landfill. Having paid over $30 for two tickets, the least one could ask for is a clean theatre. If not enough staff, hire some more afterall, almost everyone working there looked like students and this, not being paid more than minimum wage so h Uh haute why more staff could be gotten to ensure basic hygiene in the cinema. Disgusting!!

Super comfy reclining chairs. Only complaint is the railing behind every row of chairs is in the line of vision when you're reclining. I'm 5'7, so maybe if you're taller it's ok. Not a big deal, but I didn't recline all the way so I could see the bottom of the screen better.

They don't have the Tuesday specials, but otherwise it's a great venue. The entire theatre has recliner seats and they have a decent variety of new movies for every audience. The sound is spectacular and the screens are wide and cristal clear.

Popcorn wasn't hot, so we asked for some from a different batch. That was cold, too, but we just said "fine" rather than make a big deal out of it. There wasn't anyone to assist with mobile tickets - I hadn't pre-purchased before and it wasn't clear to me what the procedure is. No one at the ticket counter to ask. The theatre seats were comfortable, but it was warm and a little muggy inside. The total for our family of four was over $100 for tickets and concessions. We hardly ever go to the movies and when we do I'm reminded of WHY we stay away.

So not impressed, went to see a movie on December 18, 2021, the night before further COVID restrictions, and there was absolutely no social distancing in the theater. I have gone several times and there has always been empty seats between groups. This time no empty seats and people eating with their masks off. Seems like a backwards move when the province is trying to reduce this type of public exposure. It felt unsafe and careless.

It’s a large venue with multiple large sized theaters and a wide variety of movies playing at any one time, so you’re bound to get tickets to a movie you love. To top it off, they have renovated the seats - they now have massive comfortable leather reclining seats, bigger than VIP and half the price! The only down side is the location for me. But it’s not so bad, as the theater isn’t ever as packed as the other. Always a great experience!

Downside is bathrooms could use more maintenance as well as cleaning the theatre seats between shows. Not always cleaned properly so look before you sit down! Decent arcade for children and adults who like arcade games. Almost always busy, still can always find parking available thanks to the amazing sized parking lot.

Good place, it's always clean and there theatres are all a good size. Gets a little hectic on Tuesdays (cheap night) especially with the teenage crowd, so if you like a quiet theatre avoid it in Tuesdays. Otherwise it's a great spot to catch a movie.

The VIP theatres/reclining chairs are awesome, but the mobile check in stations haven't worked the last 4 times we've visited, and the lineup at concession to pick up your mobile tickets is ridiculous. Don't sell mobile as convenient if the system has been broken for months and staff feign surprise when you let them know it's broken again. Or at the very least dedicate a line just for mobile ticket holders.

A good place to catch a flick. If the film is new it's best to pre-order tickets if you're picky about where to sit. Has very comfy recliner seats for all the screens. Concession could use an update though, the current model is pretty slow and sometimes disorganized. But that's what happens when the concession is both food and ticket vendor.

Both our seats were broken and wouldn't recline. Feet dangling cuz they don't reach the floor now for 2.5 hrs was very uncomfortable. Also there was old food and packaging scattered everywhere in the rows, not really instilling a sense of being well sanitized during a pandemic. I have bad knees and usually hesitate to go to the theater because they get sore when I don't have a lot of leg room, but the reclining seats here are excellent. I actually sat through a movie at a cinema and didn't struggle to get up after. I don't know if they have it in all the theaters or just the one I was in but it was very nice.

As far as movie theatres go it's top notch. My only issue is that all Imax films are 3D which personally I'm not a fan of. 3D glasses take away a lot of colour and clarity from the film which completely contradicts the whole point of shooting and viewing a film in that format.

Good theater. I have probably visited this theater 30+ times. There is always a good line up of movies playing at this location. Good large screens with a wide variety of seating selection. Theaters are typically clean and well managed temp etc. Staff are friendly. Food overpriced as is the case at any other theater. Just grab a coffee before you go!

I went to go see a movie with my friend. We wanted to try the new reclining chairs. We got are popcorn and drinks. The popcorn was old of course. When we went into the theater it looked nice. When we sat down and reclined their was a bar blocking the bottom of the screen. They could have lowered it so that it's not in the way. Overall the experience was fine.

Watches The Last Jedi here and the theatre was great. The chairs, sound system and the 3D feature. The downside were the females washrooms because they were terribly filthy. In addition, the line up to get snacks before the movie took forever cause the family in front of us consisted of a lot of people and the clercks did not think about re-locating us to another line up. The movie started on time and everything else was a breeze. Overall, a great time!

Great cinema! Love the lighting inside the theater. When the lights dim and the movie plays it is easy to see your way around the steps and folks in the the aisle. Reclining chairs are very comfortable, with plenty of foot room. Only reason for a four star review is due to the very high cost of food. We purchased two hot dogs, two small drinks, and paid 24.50. The price for food is quite steep. Otherwise it is a great little theater.

Overall the theatre is fine but they have installed railing infront of the seats in each row. If you try adjusting the seat in a semi-sleeping position, the railing will come in the way of screen (at the bottom) which would ruin (not completely but still it irritates) the view. So you have to stay in the sitting position even though if your seat is adjustable. This is likely the first theatre I found those railing with which I don't believe is even required.

Last experience reminded me of why we were avoiding Cineplex. Especially that theatre. The seats are worn out, they hurt your back, the popcorn is stale, the theatre is dirty and out of date, plus the lights stayed on when the movie started. The place was so hot and humid. AND we got kicked out after a second power occurred, 2 days in a row. It was not a local outage, just the theatre. We had bought a combo, spent a total of $30 on concessions, to get told that they can’t do anything. Just to contact Cineplex guest services to refund the movie tickets only. I ate 5 bites of popcorn and the movie was only 15 minutes in when the outage occurred. They didn’t offer ANY vouchers, just asked if we had a receipt (which they never give after a purchase) and that nope, they couldn't do anything. The place has gone to hell just like Silvercity did, and we will NEVER step into any Cineplex theatres ever again. Landmark beats your services by 1000%! Better seats, better food, better staff and a very clean place!

Let’s be real for a minute. You will not enjoy this theatre if the movie sucks. If you choose a great movie, the likelihood of enjoyment increases greatly. Unless that jerk behind you keeps talking or the girls in the front row keep laughing as they check their phones. However, it’s hard to blame the theatre for the caliber of it’s customers. If you have never been annoyed by thoughtless, rude people at a theatre… there’s a good chance that you are the problem. For the rest of us, rejoice as this theatre offers in-seat service and is fully licensed.

The new seats are awesome. Went to see Logan last night and was very impressed with the seats. Even reclined, there's still room for people to walk past you, and every row of seats has a railing behind it, so your chair will never inconvenience the person behind you, and because there's so much legroom the person behind you can't reach to kick your chair (railing is in the way anyway). Cup holder is generous and the arms are plenty wide enough for two people to use them. Arse of the seat was harder than expected. Had to start shifting a bit towards the end of the movie. Overall made going much more enjoyable and I think I'll go more often instead of waiting for DVD.

This is the only place I go to watch movies now because of their renovations. Every single theater in this building is stocked with full recliner seating. It makes watching a movie so much more enjoyable. That is what puts this theater above others. Every movie theater is more or less the same unless in a VIP one. This one has by far the best seating. If you want to experience a movie while feeling as comfortable as possible then this is the theater for you! The leather seats have an electric reclining feature and you have about 75 cm of leg room, enough so you cant touch the person in front of you even if you tried.

The place is well renovated, the sound is always spot on, never have any issues with the actual movies. The theatre typically has some popcorn on 15-20% of the seats. Food is massively overpriced, however they have mostly stopped auditing for bringing food in if its in bags. COMBOS DO NOT SAVE YOU MONEY! I repeat. COMBOS DO NOT SAVE MONEY! The food is charged the same price anyways so order what you want, a #3 costs the same as large popcorn + 2 drinks + top shelf candy. AVX is not worth the extra 3$+tax a ticket to me however, you do get added base and vibrations etc. The recliner seats are fantastic, not clean, but fantastic! Would never go to a theater without them again. They prevent super neck strain at low levels and arent too reclined as to strain eyes three rows from top. They serve alcohol, not sure if this is really a positive tho? Have yet to encounter obnoxious roudy drunks. Book tickets online and preselect seating. MUCH better than in store. 80% of movies will have 0 or only first row seats during the first 5 days of a film release. Tuesdays are 50% off movies. ????

In December, this location was offering private viewings of a select number of holiday movies; one party/family could buy out the entire theatre for a private screening. Only two parties were allowed in the building at any one time (staggered entry times) in order for the theatre to stay below the 50 person Covid capacity limit. The experience was wonderful... the two people working that shift opened the front doors to let us in (everyone wore masks), served us concessions, had a friendly (distanced) chat with our party. Once in the actual room, our party was able to spread out throughout the huge theatre so that we could maintain social distancing. It was one of the only ways that we were able to have a visit as a (larger) extended family in an indoor setting, but feel safe because we were still physically separated. If this option comes back again in the new year, I would highly recommend! Thank you to the staff, who were absolutely delightful!

Always a wonderful experience at Coliseum! Fun little arcade to pass some time before the film, seats are comfortable with sight recline and lift-able armrest. Never seems overcrowded and there are plenty of snack options. Prices are still higher than most competitors and at the end of the day there's not really anything better for the extra price of Cineplex.

We use to go to movie theatres, really what's that ;) Seriously though as a big movie buff, it was not ideal not able to see a movie on the big screen. Still haven't been in one since the pandemic. Might return next year. The nice thing about Cineplex is that they gave different styles and layouts so they don't all look the same, plus they have a great rewards program that you can use in restaurants and online.

Awesome seats with plenty of elbow and leg room. Location is very accessible with ample parking. You can book your seats in advance even in the non-ultra AVX theaters, unlike at my local Cineplex.

Covid-19 screening measures are in place and well applied by staff. Proof of 2 vaccins verified by staff. Patrons are assigned seat on every other row with a maximum of 6 people per row. Clean, well organized. It's safe and worth the night out with my children. Felt very safe during the whole visit.

It's an okay cinema, but there are some problems. Technical difficulties seem to be common, with some movies sometimes being delayed by 15-20 minutes, projectors sometimes have distracting light lines being projected onto the seats for some reason, some screens are dirty, which distracts from the movie. However, the problems still are relatively rare and you're not likely to experience those, but they do happen. Recliner seats are nice, but prices for food and drinks are really high.

I really like this place! I guess it is mostly because at this cinema you have recliner seats which adds a lot of comfortness! Also, you have the option to have seating arrengments. This way you can reserve your seat online in advance; and you don't get worried about missing your favourite spot in front of the screen anymore! Moreover, there are delicious fast food and poutines available to get there!

I posted 11 months ago and I am updating this post to drop this to 3 stars. While the reclining chairs are fantastic. The screen in Cinema 5 was dirty and had defects in it that detracted from the movie. The washroom was in rough shape though it had been "checked" recently. I love going to the movies but basic maintenance would have made this a more enjoyable evening.

Cineplex Theatres on Carling is Fantastic. The best quality screens, the highest quality sound and the largest and most modern GIANT new leather seats that move up or down in anyway- the closest person in the next row I front of you if 6 or 7ft away and same behind you. There is enough room for anyway to walk past you and you do not have to move at all. Any theatre ..regardless of its size.. has the same large sears and quality experience. The smallest screen is still HUGE. This is a great..worthwhile theatre. You can also enter the facility just to bring your kids to play the driving /Pac Man/Jurassic Park/pin ball/air hockey and many more games set up at the front -free entry. No movie ticket needed. The food is very good offering Outtakes (pulled pirk/poutine/fries/Build your own Yogurt and much more. There us also the standard popcorn/drinks/chocolate and much more. The popcorn is Exceptional and fresh --not left stacked in side shelves (like Kanata theatres do for all of their popcorn !!).

The lights in the theatre were flickering while the movie was going on. Some games were not working properly. Also the cashier on games counter was new and super sweet. But she called people for help and no-one was available to help her. I was expecting it to be the same after the reopening and not get worse.

This used to be my favorite cinema and when they introduced social distancing, it felt safe to still go to the movies. Not so anymore as they took that away without telling anyone. With cases on the rise and restaurants and everywhere else still practicing social distancing, it feels irresponsible of Cineplex to not continue that practice.

So last night I went to watch a movie to try and support the theaters because I would hate to see them disappear. I skipped dinner hoping to grab something yo eat at the movies again yo show support but boy was I ever disappointed. All they had was popcorn, candies, nachos and drinks. They didn't have any combo deals like they used to. I ordered medium bag or popcorn, medium drink and some nachos and it cost me around $25. They nachos were horrible. They chips seem stale and the cheese dip was pretty bad. It's a shame but because of this I won't be going back until things get back to normal. Other than that they did a great job for the seating and cleanliness and I have to give respect to the staff for working hard at getting the theaters ready for viewings. Keep up the great work and hopefully things will be back to normal soon ????.

I will never come here again. My kids were splitting a medium popcorn so I asked for an extra bag and wa given a tiny brown bag. I asked for a regular sized bag and was refused. I asked for a manager who must have been no more than 15 and was again refused and was told they can't give them away because it would throw off their inventory at the end of the month. A bag. It’s so weird that you can’t buy tickets from a teller anymore! Food and drink lines go quick. You can buy beer and cider. Upstairs bathroom is oddly located. When you reserve your seats make sure you sit in the right place. I’ve been here three times and we always have to move because one person in the row is off.

We usually go to Landmark, but decided to give cineplex a try tonight. Disappointed : recliner seats are uncomfortable (better half got a back ache from them), kids' pack has poor candy selection, drink selection is limited, service is ok... we'll stick to Landmark.

I agree with the previous comment on here about the volume. Auditorium 3 at 8pm on July 27th had the loudest previews I had ever heard. It was really hard on the ears. The movie itself was a somewhat tolerable volume (still loud) but the previews were a whole other story.

More signs indicating that you can purchase tickets using cash and/or redeem coupons at the concession stand would be a great idea. There was only 1 T-stand with this information & this was located in the corner of the vestibule (noticed upon exiting). A sign at the old cash counter would be appreciated. A little understaffed. Is this normal? The staff that was there were very nice & helpful. I hope they are treated well by management.

Recliner seats. Mini arcade has some good fun. Food is overpriced, but it's a theater. Lots of parking, the rear of the theater has so much free space you might be able to put another few cinemas in the spots. The food is alright, hot dogs, hamburgers, and of course popcorn. Theater floor was clean, didn't seem too dirty. They have a cool little trivia touch screen in the lobby. Gives you something to do if you're not into the arcade. The arcade has a few racing games, a few shooters, pinball, basketball shots, and a few little carnival games. A few give out tickets so you can trade in for prizes. Depending on what time you go, you may get an empty cinema.

Yesterday, I went to go watch Eternals at Cineplex Cinemas Ottawa on Carling Avenue. I am deaf and require closed captions so I requested the Captiview like I always do. My boyfriend and I sat through about 10 minutes worth of trailers that are never close captioned, the Captiview device only starts to work when the movie starts. So basically we sit anxiously with our fingers crossed hoping that the closed captions for the movie will display. As usual, Captiview did not work yesterday and so we continued to sit through the movie for about 10 minutes to finish off the food that we bought from the concession stand. I am always so nervous and stressed out about going to your theatres because I never know if the captiview device will actually work, and then having to get up right when the movie starts and shuffle out to the exit - much to the dismay of other viewers. It's really disappointing. And everytime we say something we are met with the manager who always says the same things, and then goes on to show us his visually impaired arm to prove that he knows what its like to live with a disability. I am not looking for empathy, I just want to watch a movie and enjoy the same experiences that everyone else has been looking forward to since the start of the pandemic. This is not okay. This has happened so many times that I have lost count. Each time it has happened, I got those orange coupons that you have to use in person to book your movie. I should have gotten a full refund each of those times too. Your theatres were closed for so many months and you had ample time to work on fixing the bugs related to Captiview, or implement new tech! Instead of the captiview device, consider having open caption viewings. Closed captions would benefit so many people, not just the deaf/ HoH community. This is where streaming platforms like Netflix totally dominate the market because they have closed captions and audio aids that benefit communities that rely on these services. I tried so hard to prevent this from happening yesterday. I initially booked my tickets for a 12:30 PM viewing with 3D, UltraAVX but your website said it had no CC. So I switched to a standard movie at 2:40 PM for the CC but the CC did NOT work. So now, it is your turn to do something about this.

We love this place, as to why we returned to see Aladdin tonight. However, we saw that they had changed the seating policies to reserve only, (not the old fashioned enter the theater and sit where you feel like) - which is fine, we reserved our seats. Enter the theater, there are people on our reserved seats, which WE thought wasn't the end of the world, and sat 2 seats over. Queue more viewers come in, let us know we are in their seats and we move to a different set of seats. 20 mins into the movie, ANOTHER ser of viewers come in and ask us to move. This itself ruined the whole experience, so we went back and reluctantly kicked out the people in our seats only to find our recliner seats were not working for the whole movie. While we love this cinema, we sadly wont return as I am not again paying for my ticket if my seats dont even recline. If you want to have a reserve seat system, you should have employees guiding people to their seats or someone to govern it, so people's movie experience dont get ruined by other people sitting in your seat or getting kicked out twice in the middle of the movie. It should be good old enter the theater and sit where you feel like sitting. In the process of moving twice, our (very expensive) popcorn was spilled, not to mention.

I admit it! I love the theater movie experience! I may be one of the lucky ones but so far every time I've gone to the Colosseum it has been a blast. Pack the kids up and head to the city for a movie on the big screen! Lol. The staff are super friendly and always helpful, I have yet to have any problems with their food (prices are a bit steep but not as bad as you might think), and their theators are a whole world better then whats available in my neck of the woods. Comfortable electric reclining leather chairs (imitation leather so likely more ethical) and thundering surround sound with great picture quality. Sure I've got a 60" tv at home but if I crank that sound the neighbors would loose their minds and let's face it I pay a bit more for someone else to manage all the vagaries of trying to plan family movie night but everyone's happy and I actually get to watch the movie ;-) As a foot note if you have a cost-co membership and or a scene card its not hard to cut the over all costs down to almost nothing for those of you who are frugal.

One of my favorite theatres in the city. Lots of parking and it doesn't share a lot with a bunch of other stores so it's not a zoo. There were plenty of cashier's on a Friday night and the line was small. The theater had nice reclining seats with lots of leg room. There could be more washrooms. The one they have is a little hidden.

Just came back from a scary and disappointing experience at the Ottawa Cineplex (formerly Coliseum). Around 2pm today, the fire alarm started. After sitting in confusion in the auditorium, I went out to inquire about the severity of the situation and if we should exit the building. No employee came to inform moviegoers, no one was to be found. Only a handful of worried customers milling about the mezzanine, wondering about the situation. At one point, a customer down by the food counter yelled that popcorn had burned and triggered the alarm. I waited for a bit more and went back to my seat. The movies had not been stopped; no employees were sent out to auditoriums to inform worried guests. Had this been a true emergency, we would have wasted several minutes. Very worrying lack of training and leadership on the part of Cineplex. Please train your employees better.

As far as theatres go this one is fine. Generally pretty clean, ample parking and accessibility, service is what youd expect. They still have a fairly sizable arcade which is rare in ottawa. They also serve starbucks beverages, frozen yogurt, pizza pizza, and other warm foods.

The building is literally starting to crumble at the foundation and the screen in theater 3 was dirty with multiple stains. Considering you pay so much for your tickets now the least they can do is ensure that the screens don't have dirt on them.

When we got to our assigned seat, there was already someone there. We chose another seat nearby who was very uncomfortable because it was slanted sideways. I tried another seat who was as well slanted sideways but didn't want to disturb everyone around by moving once more. After half an hour in that seat I could no longuer feel my right foot and my right leg was mostly numb. Moreover, there was a 3 inch safety bar in my line of sight that prevented me seeing the bottom portion of the screen. Fortunately the movie turned out to be excellent. The facility is huge and spacious. Bottom line, I would never go back to that Cinema.

I used to frequent this theatre years ago until landmark cinemas opened which at the time was new and bigger. I went there yesterday just because a movie started at a convenient time and was pleasantly surprised with the upgraded reclining seats they had. Clean spacious and comfy. Late Thursday night August 2 after Mamma Mia, was followed around the quiet mostly empty lobby by a skinny twitchy tweaker dude aggressively demanding money from me. I had to wait for another movie to end, then left the building with other people to go to my car in the parking lot. Single women - Beware. There is no security.
