It's very nice quality of 3D movies. The staff is friendly. Lots of divertissement for kids. But OMG I've almost stuck to their floor, so sticky it was. They obviously need very good team for cleaning this place. And add some lights in the playground, too dark! Generally when you enter you feel like it's a time machine to 90s to USSR. And I know what Im talking about. But if you came just for movie and don't care about other stuff, than it's nice place.

Nice theater, clean, good number of theaters including 3D and Imax. Be warned, they don't accept debit (they do have ATMs outside) and the popcorn could be a bit saltier. Also, not enough washrooms on the upper level

The good: More affordable prices. The concession stand is actually reasonable unlike Cineplexs outrageous prices. The bad: Seats are old and pretty uncomfortable. The IMAX projector must be dated because I noticed light leakage. Sound also seems a tad blown out. Good prices but not a top notch theater experience by any means.

Cinemas Guzzo has kept movie tickets prices low compared to Cineplex and other chains which is good but its starting to show. Keeping a skeleton staff on busy Friday nights. No staff or very little at concessions and at the time of this review all vending machines on location were broken.

I've been to almost every theaters in Montreal but this is the only one where I'm not able to comfortably watch a movie without people talking and using their phone as I'm watching a movie with friends or family. This is based on multiple visits, I believe there must be something wrong with this specific theater since I've never experienced this anywhere else in Montreal and trust me I've watch plennnty of movies in theater and I'm not easily triggered. It might be a good idea to implement a specialized customer experience team who walk from room to room to verify if every representation is going well and that no one is disturbing anyone else experience.

Easy indoor-ish parking! The cinema itself is huge, and seats are comfy. My dislikes are simply around payment and the associated line-ups and wait time. Just wish they had a web site to pre-purchase tickets or a simple kiosk on site.

*** Food poisoning alert *** The movie theater itself is ok, a little cold but overall ok experience (I was a regular before my last trip). Don’t think i’m going to go back though, I’ve been extremely disappointed in the food stall: ordered onion rings and chicken fingers, and was sick like a dog from that night and the following 48h. Boyfriend had taken a bite of the chicken and was a bit sick as well. Everything else I ate in this period was completely safe and homecooked. I called the next day to let them know because I wouldn’t wish this for my worst enemy and wanted to give them an opportunity to check themselves. Obviously I was directed to a voicemail and after a week nobody bothered to return the call. I would’ve been at least reassured if they had expressed a little concern of professionality in the process. To add insult to injury, I know someone who told me that while she had been working there, that sometimes they had problems with fridges but still decide to sell the food anyways. A relaxing night as reward for working 3 weeks straight ended up in two complete days absolutely wasted. Like Drake, I’m upset.

I'm actually here now catching a matinee with the kids. The only reason it gets a second star is because of the matinee pricing which on a Sunday is welcome. That being said, look at the pictures and ask yourselves if this is what a cinema is supposed to look like today. Seats are falling to pieces, they're filthy. The place is nasty. No reserved seating or online ticket purchasing either. Is this what a movie theater experience is supposed to be like in 2019? Also, no English signage. Thanks for making you feel welcome.

My favorite Cinema, always comfortable, the facility in general is always well kept, the young staff team are pretty nice, indoor parking, (good luck in the winter months)reduced mobility friendly/access, and the cinema rooms are all the rigth size and great sound starting by the IMAX theaters but even the regular ones are quite fine.

Pro: Huge cinéma, 2x IMAX room.. Nice chairs. Nice respectful personnels. Big interior Parking. Great atmosphere. Price is right. Foods and drink are good. Nice promo for special events. Lots of stores to do shopping around this cinema. Con: Not accepting Interact debit card. Can use ATM with extra fees. Accept only cash and credit cards (VISA, MC, Amex). Lots of people smoke cigarettes and weeds at entrance and interior parking. This cinema doesn't seems to care about Smoke free environment despite theirs signs. People at this cinema seems to be more prone to use their cellphone to text during a movie than other theaters. Floor is sticky in Some rooms. I enjoyed my Avengers Infinity War and EndGame and all the Star Wars movies experience there!

Worst service ever. Sunday, 7pm...6people behind the counter and a massive line waiting for their food. Their system doesnt work, the same employee takes the order and grabs the popcorn/ice cream/hotdog, etc, errors are made and i dont believe how the clientele gets to their movie on time. We waited at least half an hour and switched room to see the next movie cause we missed the first presentation. Nightmare, i'll to cineplex laval next time.

Asked for a closed captioning device. Told they don't have any. They offered me a headset instead. Not optimal but better than nothing I accepted. The headset didn't work. When I went down to get it replaced, I was told "well, if it doesn't work, it doesn't work." Apparently being Hard of Hearing doesn't qualify me to watch movies at Guzzo. I've learned my lesson and will stick to Cineplex from now on. Seriously, you guys suck.

One reason why I will never go here again is that the concession does not take debit.. only cash or credit card. At least that's what we were told. It's 2017! How do they not take debit? . Also not enough cashiers there. Chicken fingers kinda sucked there were about 3 and the fries were not hot and not salted hot dogs were good but the buns were dry cardboard like. The drink we were given was HUGE compared the the chickens and fries . It was as if we asked to Super-size JUST the drink, it was kinda ridiculous.

Star 1: plenty of free indoor parking spots - a huge plus! Star 2: good balance of English and French-language titles; Star 3: nice selection of movies (it tends to be more commercial than Forum though); Star 4: only $6 on Tuesdays! In total, this is a four-star cinema :)

I have known cinema Guzzo all my life and since the big renovations a decade ago, it seems like the owner just doesnt care anymore. Everything is out of date and needs serious redecorating to attract people. The choice of movies are big screen stuff, but only offers french. Its fine once in a while, but american movies suck in french translation. Food is expensive, the entrance fee has increased a lot over the years and place could be cleaner ????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????❣????❤???????????????? I thought for sure I had written a review for this cinema. I've been going here ever since I moved in Canada. It's a really big cinema and arcade, you could spend a whole day here and have tons of fun. I've never had a problem with seating, or long lines. I do like that they have movies in french and english but you can only buy tickets on site.

I thought for sure I had written a review for this cinema. I've been going here ever since I moved to Canada. It's a really big cinema and arcade, you could spend a whole day here and have tons of fun. I've never had a problem with seating, or long lines. I do like that they have movies in french and english but you can only buy tickets on site. Also the schedule online is always written weirdly so I would call in advance to make sure. Other than that, it's a great cinema. You can also go shop once you're done.

It does the job for a movie theather...But it feels like an old unkept theather sometimes. The seats are worn out and not that comfortable. There doesnt seem to be a way to buy and reserve seats in advance (If there is the it's not obvious compared to cineplex) The only reason to watch a movie here is if you're watching Imax and Imax 3D.

It's a big cinema with lots of screens for presentations but some seats are starting to crumble with the abuse they withstand on a regular basis. Sometimes it feels overcrowded but generally its well adapted to the affluence it receives and indoor parking is a godsend on winter nights!

The reason to go here is for the cheap movie entrance price. It costs $7 for normal entrance or $8 for IMAX if you go in the morning or afternoon. The quality of the movies is good. Just need to have cash or pay with credit cards. If you need cash there are ATM available and the transaction fee is low $1 per transaction. There are also many arcade games if you have kids it is a nice outing.

You have to love all the games available to enjoy waiting for your movie to start. With the bumper cars, arcades, bowling It make you feel like a kid again ;D Staff were funny and very nice, refreshing as opposed to zombie like behaviour we tend to see more and more in the customer service industry. And the price was reasonable for a Sunday night. Downtown will deft be last resort now that we have found this place. Sound during cinema, good, a little too loud for my feel. Picture Ok, I have to say Ive seen better. We went on a time and day where we had the cinema to ourselves, I can imagine the chaos this place can bring about on an Hour de point !

Worst movie theater ever. Place wasnt even cleaned after the last show. Mess all around. Seats and floor were covered with leftover food and smell gross. I asked the management a couple of times to clean it and they just came and saw the place and then left without cleaning. Pathetic

I like Cinema Guzzo because it has so many movie options (and in English and French) and because they have free and easy parking! The only thing that is due for replacement is their carpet and seats. They look pretty dirty. It would also be nice to have higher seats as the current ones are for some reason lower than at any other movie theater chain.

Terrible movie theater! Seats are uncomfortable, and dirty. The students who works here obviously don't care much for their job. Food is overpriced and bad. They only accept cash or credit card for payment, no debit. Go to a Cineplex theater, it's so much better !

Worst Cinema ever. I'm only going there as a last resort. I will even go to Laval to see a movie to avoid this much closer cinema. First, the interior is very poorly lit and very dark you can't see a thing, probably to hide the stained carpet. Second, trying to buy food takes so much time, I don't understand how the staff can be this slow, I gave up after waiting 20 minutes in line. Third, and most importantly, the chairs in theaters are very uncomfortable; they seem to be confortable and padded with a lot of foam, but when you sit on them the foam just gets crushed, it has absolutely no structure or support. After an hour in the movie I can't find any position that won't hurt and have to constantly shift my position.

Good variety, I seldom go there. You can find stuff that you cannot find in some other places. Good quality stuff! I would go there every time in the future. You should look at what they offer and choose what is best for you! Very nice place and I will go there again in the future, I like that is not far from where I live and it’s not very busy in the week-ends. I’m sure you’ll find it pleasant easy accessible and comforting.

I've been yesterday to watch "Angel has Fallen" and it was super good with lots of action. The seats were clean and the floor too, both services, Front desk and food serving were fast. I have to mention that I went for the late show (23h50pm). Anyway, it was a good me time! :)

I hate this place. You have to line up to buy a ticket - no app, no kiosk. Then, you have to line up some more to buy food. Whoever built the theater planned enough counter space / cash registers to accommodate movie goers, but the manager does not staff the facility so you wait again. All this means is that you can expect many people to enter the movie theater well after the movie has started. EVERY TIME. Then, there is the noise coming from the play area in the middle. They have a game where, using a hammer, you hit a target as hard as you can so that the lights light up as high as possible along a vertical pole (see photo). You can hear this machine very clearly in Movie Theater #15. It ruins the whole experience. If you're sitting at the back of the room, at the corners, there are very bright lights that will shine on you from behind, due to improper lighting of the exits. The exits should really be separated from the viewing areas. Some young loud people just walked in the room to watch part of the movie, and then left. It was really annoying. The positive: there is a LOT of space for people's legs, so it is unlikely that the person behind you will kick the back of your seat.

Theatre is nice, I went to watch the avengers (9:40pm show on Friday May 4th - imax experience) and the lights were on for the first 5 minutes of the movie ????. Staff is good in general, popcorn and all that was nice too. The only issue I have with this theatre is hat the people are just rude, this lady in front of me stuck her head up throughout the first 10 minutes until I asked her to kindly sit back. I also experienced in the same theatre during the movie IT, a bunch of teens kept screaming and talking the whole movie.

In general I dislike Guzzo for its refusal to take debit and the staff is never helpful but this location is a fun places to take kids as they have an indoor park and bumper cars for them to play on. It is much more open and clean then other locations I have gone to. The coupons at Costco are cheaper then cinplex if you can get them it makes it worth it for large family’s or groups.

Such a bad experience! Went to see Eye in the Sky in theatre 14 with my husband, and there was a constant and REALLY LOUD buzzing the entire time. Everyone in the theatre was annoyed by it - totally ruined the movie for all of us. Very disappointed with Cinema Guzzo for failing to provide a good movie-watching experience, which is really ALL a movie theatre is meant to do. Will never be going back to a Guzzo theatre again.

Went to see Star Wars: The Force Awaken this Monday night. A) the back speakers are burnt out, whenever bass hits, it's a mess. B) a old drunk was allowed in mid-way to the movie, talking to himseld. C) a group of teens showed up 15 minutes to the end of the movie (obviously from another movie) and just yapped all the way through the end. I will stick to Odeon from now on. No more Guzzo for me

It's 2016, why am I waiting in line 20 minutes to buy tickets? After you are in, it's another 15 minute wait in line for popcorn. Bring your own.

Favorite Guzzo. Nice place to go if you want a great experience (imax) or just want to play some arcade games before or after a movie. The food is less pricey than cineplex and you get more variety which is a plus for me. There's indoor parking too and a restaurant (gambini) for a supper and movie combo with family, loved one or friends.

It's a cinema. It's big, there's arcade machines and there's a lot of people. Very accessible place. Just take a bus after getting out of station Cremazie. The food is expensive, but way not as expensice as the other cinema franchise. It's a good cinema.

It's a nice movie theater with a great arcade floor, and way better popcorn than cineplex. Problem is every now and then the movie/show won't start for whatever technical reasons and the staff will always tell you the manager is "up there fixing it"... until you see the manager running to "up there" to fix it... It's ridiculous cause you'd think they would get it right after a few years. Last Saturday we missed two fights from the UFC program and they didn't even offer coupons or rebates after the show. Heck, they didn't even apologize to the audience. Depending on the theater, some of the seats will be worn out and missing armrests.

One of the few places where you can watch movies in their original languages. They screen both French and English movies. I believe there are 16 screens and one or two are giant IMAX. The food is horrendous. I wouldn't reccommend any of it aside from Popcorn and Soda if you're into that. The Arcade section is huuuge and has an amazing selection of many genres. Shooters, Racing, DDR, Pacman, Hoops, Air Hockey and much more. A lot of it is multiplayer too, allowing friends on different machines to join up in a single game. They also have bumper cars and small electric vehicles for kids to ride around. It's a great place to go with kids on rainy days.

This place is really disappointing but in small ways. Until recently you could only pay cash and even now you can't pay with debit. Instead you have to use one of their machines to withdraw money (for a 3,50$ fee ????) It's not Cineplex, it's Guzzo which means the Scene card is useless. Food prices are higher (compared to Cineplex prices) They boast picture quality and yet 100% of the times I went there the projector wasn't adjuted properly with the picture going out of frame sometimes even on the ceiling which is very distracting. Honestly I think the only reason this theatre is still in business is because people with cars can get free underground parking and most Cineplex are downtown where parking is hell. If you can, go to the Scotiabank Cineplex downtown, it's better in everyway except for the parking.

Horrible! It's in need of a tune up of the movie experience that is provided for the price they charge. The picture quality is bad, sound is often distorted, seating is dirty and broken and even the popcorn tastes funny. Most of the arcade games are all broken and the lines to buy tickets are always long because they only have a few cashiers for 18 screens. The only pro is the underground free parking that is always full and takes forever to find a place. I would recommend to stay away from this "theater"?!

Nice movie theatre. You can only pay in cash or with a credit cards (debit cards are not accepted, however there is an ATM available). The bathroom are clean. There’s a lot of different food in this movie theatre although they can be a little pricey (just like any other movie theatre). You can watch movies in French and in English. Additionally, they have some late hours movies like 1:00 AM which is great. They have free underground parking. Many restaurants next to this movie theatre.

The place needs a serious cleanup. Entering from the undeground parking, the stairwell smells like garbage/dump. At the price they sell popcorn and soft drink combos, management could think about hiring a night-shift cleaning crew?

I went there for a special night to see the new star wars with the companies where i work. There was a lot of people and Star wars wa starting in all room at the same hour. This Cinema Guzzo is pretty big compare to the one in Cote Vertu. I like the IMAX room because it's clean. My one compliant is that the IMAX room although clean, the screen is very small compare to other IMAX. This is one of those Lie MAX because the screen isn't that tall. Other problem is the rooms can be small depending on which room you get. Like the big rooms next to IMAX can be too tall but the seat and too high and you have to lower your face to see the screen. The service is nice.

Good size indoor parking lot. Good selection of movies. They have arcade games which older kids can appreciate. Given the heavily ethnic neighborhood, I'd recommend adding foreign movies. The only issue I find is that the children's play area is very dark, especially at night, which is scary for children. Hoping management can add a light or two in that section.

The popcorn I was served was moldy. When I notified staff, all they could tell me was that I could not be refunded (because apparently "there are no refunds" which would be good to know before spending $7 on popcorn...) and they refilled my popcorn in the same bag with the moldy popcorn still in there!! (apparently "you pay for the bag, not the popcorn"...) Being uncomfortable with this, I refused the popcorn and simply asked for a refund/partial refund/voucher for the health violation they were clearly responsible for. Staff, repeatedly refusing to compensate me in any way, was extremely rude and do not know the meaning of customer service. For that reason alone, it's not worth going here when there are plenty of other theatres that are cleaner and have friendlier staff.

If I could I would give 0 star !!!!! Just came back from a movie night. First, the room was very dirty, there was left over food all over the floor and stains and popcorn on the seats. Disgusting ! There was an alarm that was ringing during the first 30 minutes of the movie. The screen wasn’t centered. The movie kept lagging, the sound was off and the movie eventually stop right in the middle. When we got out to complain, the employee said that he knew that something was wrong with the projection from the beginning but didn’t do anything !! We will definitely not be going back.

But this time unfortunately we made a huge mistake, and we decided to go there. We verified the movie schedule online, and was supposed to start at 9:15pm. after we arrived and bought the tickets and food, we dicovered that the halls are ver small, extreemly smalland smellly, but we accepted to sit and try to enjoy the movie. On top of that, the movie time changed on the tickets to 9:25pm. 9:25pm the screen was still blank, we waited untill 9:35 and then went to the tickets booth, and the agent told me she will ask them to turn on the projector. 9:40pm the started a Boxin game!!!! We thought its the Guzzo way of advertisement instead of showing movies! We waitrd few more minutes and then i went to speak with the manger. She told me that there was a mistake kn the system and there is no movie for the evening, it is a game night. I asked her for refund she said: i will give you a gift card loaded with your money for next time. So they maid a mistake and did not bother of informing the people and on top of that do not five any thing in return a free drink or any free movie next time, instead they refuse to give you refund and force you to come back again to this garb###. I said no way i am coming back, i need my money for the ticket and for the popcorn and drinks we bought. After bavk and forth she agreed to give me back my money only if i have my recipets!!!! Lucky i found my reciepts. And she gave us our money back and took the poopcorns and drinks from us!!! There is no out of courtesy action of offering us to keep our drinks or popcorns! I have no idea what is going with businesses in this country, why there is no more respect for clients? I used to be very much against the technology and robots, and i used to accept to wait in line-ups to deal with human instead of doing my business with a machine. but the more time passes, the more i feel its better to deal with robots these days than dealing with humans

Its written that in order to provide fast service only credits card and cash is accepted. Really? There were lineups at ticket counters because there were 2 cashiers and then later 1 cashier. I was mad because ATM machines near the counters are all out of order. So I couldn't buy tokens for arcade games. I will in future avoid any cinema guzzo.

They served us bad popcorns. After the movie i went to complain and they wanted to give me new popcorn instead of my money back. I told them i dont need the popcorn my movie is already over. Then they accepted to give me the money for the first bag since he was full and refused to give it for the second since he was half empty. I told them there was good popcorn in the first half so i couldnt knew that the second half was bad but they said no since i ate half the bag so no money back for the bag. They really dont understand that they should not give even a few bad popcorns. People could get sick from it. Really bad "assistante gérante" there. I have limited mobility due to pregnancy and there wasn't any escalator or elevator to get to the movie area, just an small elevator for the handicapped. The ramps were sticky. The room was not cleaned before people were allowed in. The seats looked worned out. You could actually remove the cushions and see all the snacks that has accumulated. The washrooms are small so there is always a line-up, and no soap in the soap dispensers. Needs major updates and more staff to maintain. Will not return.

I gave it a 2 star rating because the seats in Theatre 9 was very comfortable; otherwise the experience itself was not the greatest, starting with the fact that they don't take Interac (debit) payments for neither tickets nor at the concession stands, despite the fact that their credit card machines do in fact display the Interac sticker...there are ABM machines in the lobby at an additional fee of $3 per withdrawal (plus the fee charged by the bank). We had line up and wait to gain entry in the theatre despite the fact that it was 15 minutes past the advertised commencement time of the film. (Which actually started with a 30 minute delay!) Will never go back.

We watched Beauty and the Beast in auditorium #1. The movie and the sound was good. In terms of cleanliness, there is a LOT of room for improvement. Floors are full of popcorn, dirty and sticky when you walk, seats are also full of popcorn and dirt, material on seats is torn and you can see the foam inside. For an IMAX experience, this was terrible, $20 a ticket totally not worth it.

Another great Guzzo cinema. Not too busy which is nice. Has all the top movies you want to see. Plus they are open all day so matinees including Imax matinees are a great option. Imax showings before 6pm are only $8 every day! Compare that with steep Cineplex prices and you've got a great deal. Easy, free, plentiful indoor parking makes it well worth the trip.

WAS freezing in the room of the movie. Complained to manager assistant and he didn't care about it. Didn't even bother to investigate. BEEN a client since more then 20 years. No one cared enough to even bother apologizing. 3th time this happened with me started to complaining through the web sites. They don't even bother placing a complain link on their web site. Terrible. had to leave a message through the reservation form to be told that they did investigate and they corrected the situation by the end of the movie. Terrible service.
