REVIEWS OF Cinéma Cineplex Forum et VIP IN Chambly

Food Tour

Not crowdy, peaceful and fun

VotuRXm

Loved it. First time being vip. Definitely an amazing experience! Lovely date night experience/ or out with friends evening.

Reda H.

Very good cinema but some rooms don't have a very good and high sound system

Jim250

Spacious comfortable and quiet with a great variety of blockbuster and Asian movies.

Jean-Marc Abela

Love this theatre that mostly plays quality films with a few blockbusters. But big cinema screens showing art or foreign films with longer runs. It’s quiet and there is indoor parking.

Joy Boushel

Extremely moving. And emotionally challenging.. very close to the novel .. Woody harrelson and Brie Larson are exceptional .

Renee-Alexandra Marion

Friendly staff, great in-seat service and clean seats. Will visit again!

Damian Lalonde-Pulcini

Great popcorn and movie selection. Loved coming here when I was near Dawson! Accomodating staff

Oscar Hamo

Vip is great!

MARIEL DANG-AY BALICAG

Good place to relax! Not too much people ! Good for big groups of friends!

François-Olivier Guay

Nice to be able to reserve places, as usual. Very stupidly expensive snacks. Bring some in your coat biught at dolarrama. Sound is good, but not strong enough. Image is good, as always. Seats are confortable.

Alex Sylvester

Overall good theatre hall. Could do with more rooms and better selection of movies.

Maxime Bolduc

Great movie selection and it's the only AVX theatre in Montreal. Seats are comfortable, the movie experience is epic.

Samuel Chuang

Love the VIP experience! Comfortable seats and perfect place for dates!

Maharshi Trivedi

Amazing place for watching movies ???? , especially Bollywood films. The best part is that you can get tickets using your SCENE points.

Vineet Ranawade

Nicely managed post pandemic circumstances!

Jp Dupuis

For a cineplex theater, i think it has a rather large selection of movies. Some of them can't be seen anywhere else. Can be quiet at times but also incredibly crowdy. Really depends. Never had a bad experience there.

Nora

My favorite cinema in Montreal, it’s in the old stadium where the Habs used to play. Kinda funky, which is why I like it. They always have new big releases, hot indie/prestige movies and international films, so overall a great selection. I’m here frequently during oscars season.

Khushnuma Savai

Went for the VIP experience for the first time. I don't think I can't see a movie in any other way haha

Heidi Van Regan

I don't know what is going on with the Cineplex and the Forum in general. Got tickets to go see Frozen thinking it would be a nice Christmastime activity for the family. There wasn't a single decoration in sight, no Frozen combo for the kids, no atmosphere at all. I was at the Quartier Latin théâtre last weekend and the place was buzzing. Considering the price... I won't be back for a family show in a hurry, that's for sure

Chelsea M2

If you want a more relaxed, less populated movie theatre, this place is for you. I find it the perfect place for a date! You have privacy, the theatres are always clean, and no line ups. Also, it’s right next to Alexis Nihon shopping centre. You really can’t go wrong!

YESHWANTH R

Services still can be better . One elevator was not working and everyone was forced to use lift and it was jam packed with people .

Luis Quijano

The best cinema in Montreal. Good seats and screens and the best variety in movies.

James Mtk

One of the best experiences I've had since I came to Montreal. You won't regret going to the VIP theatre. It's much better than the normal theatre! I highly recommend it

Andrew Smith

Very nice loved the games you could play before the movie. Huge theater. Food (popcorn stuff like that) was a little expensive but that's fine.

Brandon Nolet (Linux Liaison)

Comfortable seating here. Clean and great image quality on the movies :) Wide selection of snacks and drinks

Steve Rubino

Cool place, though I wish there was a few more things to do while waiting for your movie. Screens are good, sounds are wonderful, but give of us who like to get there early a couple more arcade games or something!

Srinivasan “#0K” Ramachandran

I love Cineplex. A beautiful place to relive the movies yourself

Alexis Morin

Hands down the best cinema in Montreal. Great movie selection with not only the blockbusters but plenty of independent and foreign stuff. Seats are comfy, food is tasty and it's made me excited with moviegoing again.

Hermina Jacobs

All the latest movies as well as some favourites are held over. Spacious seating. Too bad the snack counter is only on the main floor.

Regina Calcagno

I love this cinema because it has trendy movies as well as non commercial movies, usually international movies that you will not find in other theatres. I've seen movies from Asia, Latin America and Europe. The best time to go is on Tuesday because you have 2x1 promotion.

Alexander Nachaj

Less crowded than the other English-language cinema (Banque Scotia), with a less cluttered floor plan too. For the most part it's the usual Cineplex experience, but you get the bonus of being able to catch independent and foreign films here (notably regional Hindi and Chinese films).

Louis Jezsik

One of the best theatres in the city. Why? They have a lot of movies. They show a lot of foreign and limited run movies. Most importantly, they have actual butter for the popcorn, not that horrible yellow oil crap.

Oscar J. Acosta

Great cinema that offers a great variety of experiences like IMAX, DBox, AVX, Dolby Atmos, etc. Great treat offerings at the fountain.

gursimran kaur

Amazing experience at vip

Saman Saadi

The screen size is smaller than Cinema Banque Scotia but you can find a lot of non-hollywood movies there. It's not a good place to experience IMAX.

Ludau Geo

The best place to watch non-blockbuster movies. They still have few hockey related things from the old forum.

Ethan Clark

I have never had a bad experience here, kept tidy, chairs are comfy and tilt back.

Alejandro Aspinwall

It's my favourite movie theater in town. It's rarely full and it's always clean. The staff is nice and efficient. If recommend getting a SCENE card to take advantage of the promotions they have. You can get free tickets quite often.

楊義

good movie selection, with international movies. comfortable chairs with movable arm rest

James Wallace

Great theatre with better selection movies than most places

Robert Martin

Cinéma that was constructed in an ancient hockey hall. Multi ethnic movies presented

Joël Morin

easily accessible space. Several screens. good quality seating, state of the art presentation equipment.

Cederic Lourenço

I like walking around here, nice little place with food, drinks, pool, arcades, cinema and a comedy club all in one area.

Dan's Paradise

Love this cinema they often have movies which arent displayed in other places including foreign ones!

joe raad

Seats are extremely comfortable, service is great, and the food there is awesome.

Sridipta Misra

Nice place. One of the very few screens in Montreal where they run almost all recent major Bollywood movies. Love the place for that. Service is good.

Lili W

I have been several times since they opened and admit to being spoiled by the whole experience, but especially the seats. When you have a bad back, the spacious reclining seats with footrests and lumbar heating, are like a dream to sit in. This means I can enjoy a movie in complete comfort, no matter how long it is:)

Andrew J.

Well organized and clean movie theater where you can see movies that may no longer be playing on the big screen at other movies theaters. There is also a nice courtyard around with food, different types of games such as bowling and billiard on different floors, as well as some bleachers with a bit of history since this is where the Montreal Canadiens used to play their hockey games before the bell center. Indoor parking is also available and it is a 30 second walk from atwater metro station (green line).

Sarah Kelly

It’s an average cinema nothing bad or exceptional

stuckInTime

went to watch Dune on imax (#5) and was totally disappointed. The sound system is soooo Terrible. Sound was insanely loud. It was the worst sound system I have ever experienced. Would not recommend neither would watch movie at this theatre again. VERY DISAPOINTED.

ElizabethV (BeautywithLiz)

Definitely my go-to movie theatre as it offers both big box productions and independent films. It's never as crowded as Scotia Bank Cineplex (which is on the same street) and it's definitely cosier.

Sebastian Alba

Very clean and comfortable movie theatres. Offers a variety of genres and international films. Cheapy Tuesdays is great and its proximity to many restaurants makes it an awesome place to bring someone out on a date!

Vishal Jawa

Lots of screens and hence lot of options for movies. The mall also has games so can spend a day with your friends or family.

David Bainbridge

Went here to see 'No Time to Die'. Cineplex have clearly spent a lot on renovation. The new reclining seats are excellent and combined with the menu and the friendly service, we found this to be a really good experience compared to how this cinema was before the pandemic. This is definitely the way to see a movie! When we come again we will make sure to take advantage of the facilities in the VIP section.

José Pisani

It's supposed to have fun when you go to the cinema. But this place is the worst ever. The cinema structure is really old. Everything is in French. If you have kids I should not use the games stations. You will lose your money. Everything is broken. What a bad experience here

Daniel Goedike

It was nice and clean, but food waa very average and many items not available

Tracey Lafontaine

Enjoyed the experience throughout the staff is helpful and well informed. Popcorn and drink was fresh and tasty. Chairs are clean and cozy. Would recommend. -The washrooms are a disaster, even though going to the movies isn't about the washrooms. This part for hygiene deserves only one star.

Jennifer Mullen

I love this theatre. As well as the big films, they show smaller indie films and foreign films-Korea, China, and India are well represented. On a number of occasions, I have been buying snacks for a lot of people, and someone always offers to help me bring everything to our seats. If I am given a choice as to where I can see a movie, I will always choose this one for that reason.

Lori Taylor

Great staff..not very clean...but very busy...so understandeable!

Phaidra Duchastel-Vassaramva

Huge cinema!! The best is to go there when it's not a Tuesday although the best prices are usually Tuesdays... And probably don't get a combo with your popcorn, with the cup of drink they give you you're gonna end up having to go to the washroom halfway through the show

Maria Ram

One of my favourite movie theatres in Montreal, love that they play Bollywood movies, have a bowling alley and ping pong tables!

Abhishek

Reasonable price and good show offerings, often preferred for Bollywood movies.

Vanshik Sood

The theatre is awesome and the seats are good too

Weekend Concierge

Beautiful theater located inside old.Montreal Forum with large number of screens and lots of concession counters.

Ben Chung

Great theatre, always has a selection of foreign films which really sets it apart from other Cineplex theatres. Also right there at Atwater métro so very convenient.

Russell Lewis

Huge multiplex cinema. Good screens. Nice ass eating.

Marie-Eve Bourassa

Hearing impaired? This is where you want to watch movies. I have been to several Cineplex around Montreal, and this is the only consistent one that actually makes sure I am handed a fully charged and functional closed captioning device, every single time. One of the managers there really does care for the machines (though some clearly have send better days ????) and understands the need for them, making me feel like I'm understood in my impairment. I love movies, and without closed captioning, it would be impossible to truly appreciate them. Thank you for being understanding :)

Fadi Al-Hanna

I mean that’s the best you can pick. It is very big, the screens are big, you have a lot of choices from their snack bars to Tim Horton’s to other fast food restaurants. If you get there before your movie you can always play one of the many games they have over there, or simply just have seat in the waiting area.

Sheryl Beaufield

VIP theatre seating is awesome! Didn’t use waiter services this time, but intend on going back for the full experience.

Eduardo Prado

SItuated in the old home of the Canadiens, this movie theather is IMO, in and of itself a great place to visit. The movie selections ranges from major blockbusters to international movies and xperimental films. The theather can feel a little old, especially the seats. The sound quality is good and the image is clear and crisp. All in all, if you love movies, you won't be disapointed.

mehbub issak

This is old hockey rink named the forum where great Canadian hockey players played league matches at one time but now it houses a multi Plex cinemas ,cafes, bars, gym etc ...must visit once to see it's glorious hockey past..

Rayan Ahyad

This a great place to catch-up on movies that been out for a while and also some low budget and foreign movies that you won't find in bigger places. The place is big and staff are friendly. The theater is clean and medium size.

Stephanie Whitwill

I love this cinema for a Sunday afternoon. It quite often screens movies that are a few weeks old and is rather relaxing and quiet compared to other cinemas. Really great to catch that movie you might have missed out on!

Gurshran Virk

Awsme near downtown...seats are comfortable food is tasty everything is too good

Sebastian High

Great theater with an awesome staff! I lost my phone while I was watching a movie, and I went to customer services and reported it missing. They gladly took a description of the phone and the wallpaper, and made sure every employee was aware of the missing phone. I still can't wrap my head around the fact that they took my issue this seriously, since they must receive reports of missing wallets, phones, etc dozens of times a day. I then went home, and was really disappointed of having lost my phone, but just two hours after I reported it missing, I received a call informing me that an employee had went and searched for my phone, and a few other missing items, and actually found it, and notified me immediately. The theater itself is as good as any other, but the staff is really friendly and competent.

Daniel Harbridge

I love this theatre. They show a lot of limited release movies that you can't find elsewhere.

Zak Kik

Really nice theatres. Has a great selection of foreign films

Marc-André Ipperciel

NEVER buy tickets for the IMAX row H. The view of the screen is partially obstructed by a railing. I don't know how they can legally sell tickets for that row.

Mike Silas

I love the Ultra avx room. Cinema 3. The seats are insanely comfortable.

Alexander Yu

This is my favorite theater for Indie art films. I'm sorry Cinema du parc, but this theater is more accessible. Plus if you get hungry there are plenty of options around. The theater is New, spacious, and not as crowded as Scotiabank. Plus you can see films here that are not blockbusters.

venomsorceress

I love this location and that they play independent films.

InvoicedThyme80

Went to see Dune. Absolutely NO social distances. We were sitting right next to other people. Vax passports were not checked. People entered without mask or masks were not properly on. Never going to this theatre again

Tentitus

Movie theater is worse than scotiabank, and the arcade is pretty trash. There's a cool spot with pool tables and bowling though.

Faraz F

This cinema is quiet compared to Cinema Banque Scotia. Seats are very comfortable and screening rooms are large. Good selection of international movies.

Thomas Tremblay

If you are going to see a new blockbuster movie, good clean rooms, nice sound in all of them. However, some rooms on the second floor are a bit old but they are used for smaller budget indie movies. Drinks and popcorn are pricy as usual..

rowan ramasamy

Ooooh my pp big when I see thanos

Tak Pham

They've got big screens ... ????????????

Allured'or

Really loved, I went on my own for the first time on a Sunday...great experience will do it again.

Abel Fonseca

Great place which offers variety of movies and different types of rooms like 3D to non 3D, AVX or regular. Food related you have classic theater options or pop corn but as well you have Pizza Pizza and Tim Hortons inside the theater. If you have free time there are some playing areas where you can enjoy free time while waiting for your movie.

MikeyMtL

I used to always love coming to the forum to watch movies, but for a few years i’ve stayed away because the seating really needs to be updated, after about 30 minutes my butt is already numb and i spend most of the time fidgetting, the only theatre in there that the seats are perfect is AVX, otherwise no luck.. Scotiabank theatre is the only one who outfitted their entire establishment with the same seats that AVX has, so no matter which theatre u end up in, you’ll be comfortable from beginning to end.

Luis Alberto Quijano Herrera

Best cinema in Montreal. Great seats and screen and has the biggest variety of films, from blockbusters to indies, in french and english.

Tristan “TristanDrawsMonsters” Tolhurst

Comfy place to meet up. Busy with lots of foot traffic thanks to the theatre.

Nima Sotoudeh

A very good multiplex with a wide selection of movies. The cinema is less populated than the Cineplex in Sait Catherine, so it's a more relaxed place to watch a movie.

Alex Kim

Best movie selection. They always show some eclectic films that the bigger theatres don’t show. Some of the theatres have pretty small screens, but it still makes for a good movie experience. The staff is generally pretty nice too even though it seems to change every time I go. I wish the chairs reclined a bit more, but they’re not uncomfortable by any means.

gurpal kaur

It is fun. Go on Tuesday prices are half for for tickets! Ambiance is awsum.

Hailey Cheng

The auditoriums are pretty big, but the seats are dirty and made of a fabric that retains stains and such, unlike the Silver City Cineplex theatre in Richmond Hill Ontario I'm used to with comfy leather seats.

Alexandre LeBlanc

Clean, empty, adequate pop-corn. Sometimes independent movies. Best cinema in Montréal.

Cong Lu

My fav cinema in MTL. Why? 1. it shows many art-house, Asian or independent films exclusively in Quebec; 2. it's situated just at the Metro station Atwater; 3. The cell phone signal is blocked in some cinemas (not intentional though, I guess). I wish they do it for all the cinemas. Cons: they don’t have $6 before-noon specials anymore after the Cineplex acquisition.

Gug McBingle

Been going here since it was an AMC, and the quality has only gone up, the new VIP theatre is pretty nice, the food isn't great but the booze and comfy seats more than make up for it.

Obie Ojibe

Great classic vibe

Etienne Portelance

It shows movies that don't play elsewhere. The couches are nice, the screens are good.

kame lia

I love cineplex... but in this one, the chair were dirty and not even comfortable....... the place looks kinda old, and weird... from outside, you can't even tell that this is a movie theater... I don't want to go back there... just not worth it, even if they offer different kind of movie

Gerhard Mack

Nice and clean facilities, comfortable chairs and decent audio and video quality.

Yunpeng Fan

Movie is good. But no Timeplay is shown before the movie.

Chuck Richer

Great variety of movies from all around the world. Displays quality movies and not just plain Hollywood blockbusters!

Jim Aldon D'Souza

I don't usually write reviews on Google, but I feel like doing it now on account of a positive experience with a member of your team. Accidentally booked a movie at the VIP theatre for the wrong day and showed up a day after my seats were reserved for. Richard from the VIP area was super understanding and helped us get sorted out right away - for a mistake that was entirely mine. He was super courteous, understanding, and an absolute pleasure throughout. He was also really nice with his staff when he arranged for our drink reimbursement! Great job with your hiring your management team, Cineplex! Would definitely refer to my friends and keep coming back :)

J.F. Houpert

Not a bad place to watch a movie but you can't go back to the concession stand to grab more food and drinks.

Nikita Nayyar

Rating is for the fun we had bowling. Pool table is good too. Food is average, could be better (expensive too) But the staff was very courteous and friendly. I did see them demand a tip from someone (literally the staff were arguing next table because the guests didn't tip them, I dont think that's correct) My personal experience was good. I ll recommend for a fun bowling night with beers (served at the bowling area as well) , I wouldnt eat much though since it's expensive for the taste served.

Sharn Bains

Indian movies can be watched here.

navjot singh

One stop shop

Holden Stephan Roy

Arm rests go up, good snuggle potential. Pretty dope place.

Jat Illan

Vip worth it

Devendra Suthar

All in one place for all types of movies such as Hollywood, Bollywood, Tamil , Punjabi , Urban Gujarati.

Richard Starr

Usually your best bet for finding limited releases and indie films. I just wish they would validate parking for the underground lot...

Kevin Smale

This is probably one of the best theaters in all of Montreal, mainly because a lot of rarely seen newer films and foreign films play here on top of mainstream films. So you can see anything here from a popular anime film to a Bollywood film to the latest North American film. The theater is generally quite clean, for a theater, and it has this 90s look to it with the colour scheme.

Thiago Monteiro Barbosa

Great place to watch a movie, but there’s no parking lot.

Paulin Zambali

Awesome theater

Janetta Maclean

Nice warm clean space with tables and chairs...clean washrooms...not very crowded. Good place to hang out and chat...also free wifi!

Dan SHEA

First-rate pricing for a 3rd rate experience. The chain really doesn't care about this theatre and it shows. Always understaffed, less concession options than other cinemas. The chain runs ads encouraging people to arrive 20 minutes early to play on screen games... But dont do that here, as they keep the screens dark until just after show time.

Linda Annecchini

Great movie theaters, variety of movie's,activity center with restaurant available, new theaters downstairs, new experiences, easy access for wheelchairs, after enjoying a wonderful day or night at the theatre much more to do being situated in the center of downtown, clubs cafe's and resto's in all different nationalities to accomodate all the different taste buds. One can simply enjoy.

Luke

Floors are sticky in certain rooms, would be nice if They would look give their best to ensure all clients are comfortable

Al-Hadi B.

Nasty seats full of stains

Matthieu Pelletier

I'm always suprise of the price of an IMAX tickets but once in a while it's ok I guess? There was some place for disable people, at least in theater I was sitting in. Oh and it would be nice to add some students discount. But for now, a gift card from your aunt and some snacks in your pocket will do the trick.

Zankhana Patel

Big movie theater with lots of screen having all new release from all kind of language.

Mike Bunker

Hey guys, When will you get organic popcorn popped in healthy oils (coconut or olive) and topped with sea salt / organic butter or olive oil? This is 2016! Please upgrade your products. We went the other night and paid $21 for low quality popcorn / oils and a sugar drink. We left unsatisfied! Mike

Daisy D

Today, I visited with my 5 yr son. Before the show started, above 1H to 1H30, someone through down a metal water bottle from the elevator which connects main lobby and B1. The water bottle crashed on the floor (My son asked me if he can play there just couple minutes ago). At the beginning of the show, the screen showed sparkle and some massive data or graphics... then I have to go out to find someone to fix the problem. One of the employee told me he was going to fix it. I planed pick up my daughter after the movie. That movie delayed 15-20 minutes, so I almost got rush hour! During the movie, after it started 30-50 minutes, IMAX 3D turned to 2D. My son lost his patience and told me he doesn’t like it. Even I suggested him to eat popcorn, it didn’t work. He refused to wear 3D glasses when 2D turned to 3D again. I have to hold him during all the rest the movie. That what I got after I paid $27.98+$9.18...

Russell Parkway

I watched James Bond and Spiderman on IMAX and they were both great movie experiences. I always have a great time whenever I come here.

Anna

Haven’t seen a movie in years, glad I came here to do so! Super clean facilities, good food, cheap tickets

Delia Dyer

Its ok! Great location! Cinemas are small but it is what it is! It works for me. And it just across the street from Place Alexis Nihon. So i can always gor relax and qatch a movie before or after shopping. If its a late movie, there a taxi stand just across the street! :)

Lili Lissade

My mom works close to that place she used to go the gym they had (energie cardio) but now they have econo fitness ???? just machines and flat screens....

Ian Tattersfield

Cineplex Forum is an amazing example of how interior spaces can be transformed. The skeleton of the old Pepsi Forum (hockey arena) here has been filled with a three-level (5 story), 22 screen theater, a large sports bar, a comedy club, a fitness centre, an SAQ, and various other businesses. Generally, throughout most of Canada Cineplex plays only Hollywood blockbusters, as it is first and foremost a profit-driven corporation, yet two theaters I have visited stand apart: Younge and Dundas (Toronto) and Cineplex Forum Montreal. The rotating selection of off-Hollywood movies shown here is like nothing else Cineplex offers, not even the Toronto equilivant at Younge/Dundas stands up to its selection. Of note, this is one of two English theaters in Montreal, where the other Cineplex Banque Soctia Montreal plays almost exclusively blockbusters. The other, less profit-driven movies are shown at the Cineplex Forum on its 22 screens. Cineplex Forum is a three-story, 22 screen (one "IMAX", one AVX) theatre, whose non-premium format screens vary in size from gigantic to tiny. (IE - Cinema #4 is the largest non-IMAX/AVX theatre I have seen from Cineplex, whereas #18 is tiny, and there is every size in between). Unfortunately, the "IMAX" is not a real IMAX screen, nor are the seats arranged in traditional IMAX format, which seems more to have been done as a money grab than respecting the true experience that comes from being in an IMAX theater (Banque Scotia Montreal has one of these), and I would argue theater #4 is larger than the IMAX in any case. The elevator, accessible just behind the ticket check makes the three floors fully accessible if you cannot manage the long, steep escalator rides up and down. The food options at the Theater itself are some of the worst in Canada, limited to popcorn, hot dogs, "nachos", and confectionery, yet the movie selection in my opinion is the best Cineplex offers in Canada. Whereas others mega-modern theaters may offer you a more a glitzy (expensive) movie-going experience the heart of Cineplex Forum is in the quality of the movies it shows, and I think it is well worth a visit! Although it has it flaws, this is my favourite theater in Canada.

Adriano Ciampoli

Something about this place makes me feel at home. Also they typically have a lot more documentary style movies and international selections.

Jonathan Perlman

Friendly staff and fast service if you buy your tickets online. Great theatre just a little more pricy than other Cinémas.

Jacob Haddoud

Very nice theater. The movie selection is great. The seating is comfortable and there's a lot of room for movement.

pankaj kumar

Good movie watching experience in Montreal. Cinema hall was clean and well maintained.

Raúl Vargas

Great selection of films. I like to come here to watch a good film every other week. Imax is good but not as nice as the one at Scotiabank. Already 3 times has happened to me here to be seating down watching a film and there is drunk people yelling from the back of the theatre, seems like they allow in some of those punks from the park across.

Matt Latt

Love that place ! Maybe it's just because I'm nostalgic about the forum ... go Habs go !

Valerie Charbonneau

Théâtre filled with history and worth a visit to the AMC. Nice theatre with good options

Whamzi Gogoole

The VIP seats are very comfortable and have a wonderful lazy-boy like electric recliner with an option to heat the seat. Theatre 4 did not have all the good speakers operational today. The waiters and waitresses are very nice and the food was good. Remember to show up several minutes before the movie start time to be able to order food & drinks from your seat in time! The experience renewed my love for movie going.

Michel Condoroussis

The one benefit of this theatre is that they get the lower budget independent films that aren't always available at other places. However the tickets are still fairly pricy so look for deals and the snack bar is not only expensive but everything is huge so it is not appetizing at all. The chairs are comfortable but the sound is often way too loud. Still a nice experience from time to time especially if the movie is good, but we generally prefer watching at home.

LEONARDO BLENGINI

Modern cinema safe and now it's open to see the most moderns films

Jhinseok LEE

Great experience with the imax 3d. The leg room was big enough. One thing I didn't like was the sneaks are too expensive.

Monico Seraspe

Great place to watch movies! Easy indoor parking.

Nilay Gabani

Chain of Cineplex Theatre’s Cineplex Forum located close to Station Atwater between Atwater Avenue and Wood Avenue. I went to watch movie Captain Marvel in 3D and it was worth every dollar. Pros. ➕ 1. 3D quality is amazing. 2. Sound is excellent. 3. Neat And Clean. 4. Leg space is great. 5. Cheap popcorns, drinks and food. 6. You can also sneak your food items if you wish. Cons. ➖ 1. Seats are a bit cranky.

鞠桔

Only place to go if you want to watch chinese movies! Fun to go.

Best Quests

Although fairly decent food was ordered, served (yes, they bring it to your seat!) and happily consumed - we are focusing on the overall experience here. Very comfortable, heated seats with electric leg rest that extend to an almost lying down position complete with built-in rotating trays and a retractable middle arm rest to turn your two individual seats into a loveseat all accentuated nicely with excellent, friendly service makes for a pampered-feeling, relaxing movie watching experience. And they serve alcohol (beer, wine, cocktails and bowls!) during a movie, which is pretty cool ????????????

Rejean Fils-Aime

Descent place to get your indie movie fix

tauts Lee McQueen

Truly the best place to go for movies. J’ADORE. Always look forward to going here!

Kimlyn

I really love this cinema. It’s very beautiful with a nice, homey, comfy feeling. My only complaint is that they could clean the chairs more often. Love the VIP option.

metin kale

I ordered a strawberry milkshake. It took 10 minutes for it to be made. I could hear the workers asking if they knew how to make one. And it's not because it was crowded that it took that long... there was no one at the theater. I finally did get my shake and, apart from the cherry, it was pretty much bland. This is quite disappointing since that shake costmore than $7. Not worth the price!

Mary Timmons

The remodel is beautiful. I enjoyed the VIP experience.

Ricardo Fernandez

Pretty standard place to go on a date or with friends. Tuesday's evening is a nightmare tho and line ups can be pretty long on self serve machines and the ticket clerk as well. The service isn't very pleasing tho. Sometimes you get a good person behind the food stand but more often I've found some unpleasant careless characters working behind the food counter. Clearly training their staff isn't a priority. Overall my experience here was acceptable and definitely coming back.

Hamidreza Haghmoradi

When you go for IMAX you must have IMAX experience. The sound quality was horrible! Never gonna try IMAX here again!

Stephann Etienne

As good of a movie Theater as Any. Payable parking all around. Pretty nicely accessible by metro.

Dorothy R

One of the only places in town screening foreign movies. Very clean, great service

Dhananjay Narayan

A good theatre in downtown with good IMAX experience. Very close to Atwater metro station. Very comfortable seats and nice ambience.

Yang Dol

It is always clean and very convenient as well. Most importantly the staffs are very polite and reliable. Yesterday I forgot my phone at the counter while paying for my soft drink and popcorn. Behind my mobile case my ATM card and metro card is also there. I realized after an hour that I left my phone over there so I ran out to check with them. As soon as the team who was there at the counter called the manager and he came right away with a smile to handover my phone along with my two cards. It was a great relieved. Thanks to the cineplex team for showing their integrity at work.

Prudhvi Lanka

The theatre is good&tidy

Oluwaseyi Malachi

Nice place.

Eduard P

Pleasant place to enjoy a movie but sometimes not that clean. Better choice of movies than Scotia Cineplex

Patricia Bravo

They have a good spot in the second floor, you can go there and read a little or share with friends while you wait for your movie.

Justine Soucy

The forum is a great theatre. Always lots of movie choices and well kept. The staff is very nice and they clean up the rooms quickly after each showing. It's also very conveniently located next to a shopping center. I always stop by Alexis Nihon beforehand to grab some drinks and snacks. The only way I pay those absurd movie snack prices is if I have a gift card. The only complaint I have is that if you buy your tickets online and choose to pick them up at the theatre, you still have to wait in line with the other people who are picking up their tickets. So what's the point of buying online? And if you want them emailed, you still have to print them. This is super frustrating because on cheap Tuesdays it's always busy and I'd like to get everything done swiftly but I still end up waiting.

d btuh

Cool theatre in the Habs old Forum. Play many new and foreign movies.

widad reghai

Gave 3 stars cause unless u watch the movie in imax or 3d or avx the seats r gonna break ur back nd neck... need to upgrade

frank aguilar

Best popcorn in town! Missing one star because of the quality of the seats but everything else is nice!

Raj Mistry

Sound quality is good and also cleanliness is there but only thing they need to improve is screen size and seats because seats are not that much comfortable.

Anna

Always good place to watch a good movie. Near the metro station. Cozy theater. Many restaurants in walking distance. Cheap parking in basement.

YVON Chamberland

Best food in the world

Skye Vogelesang

Good spot for a flick but beware not too many food options - only popcorn and hot dogs! Eat before you come.

tenedria

The new benches are very comfortable. IMAX is way too loud however, I litterally had to put earplugs on to enjoy the movie. The best seats in the IMAX theatre are on the front center. It's the furthest you can be from any speakers. Anyways if the cinema manager reads this, please lower the volume in IMAX theatres.

Jennifer C.

I've been spoiled. The VIP package is the only way I will ever go to the movies ever again. First class service, what a blast.

Julius Trujillo (Paid Media Manager)

This is by far my favorite movie theater in Montreal. It's never crowded and have parking lots.

Fei Li

Nice place to watch movies. They have international movies most of the time. But sometimes it's just too packed. Prefer those cinemas has less ppl. And they stop allowing us bring coffee and food into the cinema. I have to throw my coffee before entering. Because the coffee was too hot, I can't chuck it ???????????? They should have Timmy in the theater like the Scotiabank one. It's cheaper.

Karsh Dalal

Great place to Hangout with ur Loved Ones

Rachael C (MsRachieboo)

love this movie place because its just so cute at the waiting area...the cinema is also clean inside and a nice atrium to just hang around while waiting for friends.

Arun Johnson

Great theatre....could be cleaner but hard to keep up with clientele

Robert Bruno

Big spacious rooms, friendly staff. The screens are good quality. Everything is done up nicely. I would recommend to anyone who is willing to pay.

David Fournier

VIP is now the only way I choose to experience movie night out

E DM

Comfy, clean, but always takes forever to get popcorn

Andre Rousseau

Despite Netflix, iTune and Google Play, we do come here occasionally, in the winter, since there is good metro access. The selection of movies is interesting and large enough to keep us returning...

Gavin Bischof (Mr.G,MJ)

It looks awesome...G ????????

Kuldeep Kaur

A fun place to go to with your friends and family. There’s a nice movie theatre, bowling section, tim hortons, pool. It’s in the middle of everything and easy transportation.

Xia Zhu

Great Cinema, but the movies offered tend to be more artsy and obscure, and less blockbuster. If you're into cinematic art, this is the place to go, but if you want big buck blockbuster action flicks, Scotia Bank Cineplex is the one to go.

Christianna Fournier

We love the whole complex. Great place to catch a movie, fun recreation center upstairs. Love the retro table hockey and video machines on the first floor.

Rebecca Dunn

The theatre is clean. Everything is as it should be. Also you can put extra butter on your popcorn for free. Only thing I dislike is that if you go up a floor getting back down to go to the concessions stand is more confusing than it should be.

Makia

The last 20 of July 2019, something happened that makes me think, people should know about this. There's no chairs now on the theater (I don't know why) so... If you want to sit at some place the only option you have is the Floor,.. I sat on the floor for reading and wait for my time to go in. Immediately, a security guard came and told: "you can't be sitting there, if you want to be sit in some place you need to go upstairs".. I was literally : "what ? This is the floor, for God sake...you are telling me that I can't even sit at the floor here?" ...He said: "that's what the owner is asking for "... No reasonable explanation, nothing... I just wondering what's is happening with the "free" country we used to have before. Now, we are loosing the right to choose even the floor you want to be sitting on. Or maybe on the future that "owner" is going to start charging you for sitting in his "space"... Not proud of being Canadian when things like this happen.

Ricardo Cardenas

Pretty good theater. Good selection of movies from blockbusters as well as indie and international films. Seats are okay.

Ali Khan

Excellent video

Jassem Mohamed

Delicious food and amazing screen

Dan Fox

Just saw red sparrow on IMAX. Awesome. Watching a movie in an IMAX theater without 3D is my preferred method of experiencing a movie. AMC also offers good nachos with cheese for only 6 bucks.

Stéfanie Jolin

Went there to see a quiet drama once. The walls were shaking from the action flic in the next room over. However, it's one of the only places in the city that shows a lot of the less mainstream Hollywood films in English, so I'm always there regardless.

Shweta Rajput

I was in the line to take the ticket for the movie. And I walked to the counter as it was my turn. And suddenly the girl named “ANNIE” said that go back and she took another two person who were at the end of the line. And the way and the gesture she showed to me was so awful for me. I feel so bad and I came back without tacking my ticket. She treated me like a street dog. Please owner of this forum tell her to be nice with people. We are paying you and don’t spoil our mood. We come to enjoy not to spoil our mood.

Shaun Leslie Turriff

Clean, comfortable, and good customer service on our trip, which involved a lost and found incident. Very helpful.

Rob Cote

One of my fave cinemas in the city. Always something interesting playing, and many screens. There are a few smaller ones that are used for some of the international/independent films, and those rooms are surprisingly nice. Definitely recommend a visit.

Courtney Hargray

Less crowded than Scotiabank, more indie film options. Great place!

Rose Led

Yesterday was my 2sd time going there. 1st time went smooth but yesterday… My BF ordered a burger w a side of cesar salad w extra truffles fries. Another server bring our food, my bf mention the mistake (why will he order 2 fries anyway?) The server looks at the bill for 0.5 sec and says sorry it says fries. And leaves!! Okay… I eat my beyond meat burger, the bread had a weird texture. After the movie Im starting to trow up.. and i was sick alllll night. I looked online and it might be because the beyond meat was unfrozen then refrozen, or not cook well. Anyway let’s say I will not eat there again, apart from the expensive and bad experience with food I will go there again, but will definitely never eat there again!!

Nat D

Best place to watch foreign films on the big screen in Montreal, only wish they'd screen even more of them...

Anwesh Sarkar

Love it but I wish they re-open the snack counter upstairs and downstairs. And start a VIP section here.

Vahe Kassardjian

Great location. Good movie selection

K K

Best place to watch the small budget movies.

Adnan Ahmed

Great location for movie and dinner. Nice variety of movies too.

Marijane Moreau Peterson

This is my favorite place to go watch movies. They have everything you want and need. Seating are amazing, and sometimes it's possible to reserve your seating. They offer Regular, Imax, 3D, etc. version of movies (when applicable). They have the classic Pop Corn, but they also have hot dog, poutine, natchos, ect. In Montreal, it's by far the best place to watch movies!

Craig Steinberg

Had to wait five minutes to get in because the ticket scanner wasn't working and there was only one person on a busy Saturday night. The theatre was disgusting. They didn't even do a cursory clean of the theatre. The chairs are old and lacking in comfort. The theatre smells bad too.

Todd Kelly

A great place to catch recent releases as well as a good selection of foreign movies including those nominated for academy awards. Located close to downtown in a historic setting. Close to Atwater metro.

Martino D'Alessandro

One of my favourite movie theatre in Montreal and parking is cheap on cheapie night's..

Soren Kierk

Nice new exterior, saw a mouse running in the auditorium. Seats are a bit dirty!

Anil kumar

Nice experience in IMAX

Martin Thomas-Couture

Great selection, comfortable seats and a very well-maintained cinema overall

Gabriel Flonta

Great cinema! Very comfortable seats and good food.

Robyn Smith-Hould

Bar, movies, restaurants, and more! This is a very nice place to go to, especially if you are going to the school next door.

Calem Bendell

A quieter alternative to Scotia Bank featuring a greater variety in films sometimes at the expenses of bigger blockbusters. No assigned seating as far as I know, but always well maintained and usually not too crowded.

Shan Roy

Its ok to me because I found the seats so uncomfortable. Its like not enough room to extend legs and cant control where ypur seat goes. Its normal or 'll the way back. Almost went to just go sit on the stairs to be honest

Christophe Leblanc

Love this cinema! Central location and before or after the movies you can play(in the same facility) pool, table tennis, bowlings or simply have a quick bite and a beer.

Lobo Ramos

Very nice place to watch a movie, and have fun in the games at the 3rd floor and 4 floor

L-P Dex

5 stars for restaurant 3 for theater Burgers were good, drinks are great. Service in restaurant was very friendly. Once in theater we lifted the armrest so we could get close during the movie. Underneath it was greasy and had leftover food in the couch crack. We asked for help and they moved us to other clean-er-ish seats without a fuss. 170$ night, 2 adults, 2 meals, 4 drinks, popcorn, Perrier.

Charles Chung

Large place that's never too crowded, it's perfect to go to the movies or for meeting up with friends. Being just next to Atwater's Alexis Nihon, it's convenient to get food at the food court over there. There's always some arcade machines here and there in the centre area and a lot of seats.

Marc Bouffard

Good theater. Not crowded. A good alternative to Scotia Bank

Best Quests

Although fairly decent food was ordered, served (yes, they bring it to your seat!) and happily consumed - we are focusing on the overall experience here. Very comfortable, heated seats with electric leg rest that extend to an almost …

Scott Provencal (Coach Scott)

Gotta see Godzilla vs Kong in IMAX!

Kulbir Singh Madhok

Great place to hangout for food, movies, games... beautiful setup of a mini hockey stadium where many a times locals come and perform ‘urban moves’ and ‘dance stunts’... can be pretty entertaining especially over the weekends!!!

dolly modha

Cineplex forum is the place where I can feel staying in my home country. As I can watch Indian movies, native things like people, food, tradition all I can get in Montreal but the kind of entertainment that I want is from Bollywood movies which I get at cineplex. One can visit cineplex to watch all kind of movies as it provides all the countries’ movies ! Thanks for full-filling this need !

Yanky

All new movies screening on time such a good. I’ve place

Eric ABBADIE

Vip is such a great experience ..love the seats so much ..lazy boy heaven while watching favorite movie

JATINDER SINGH KAMBOJ

Amazing

Rajveer sidhu

Very good service

Daniel Goldwater

???????????? Hands down the theatre with the best movie selection in town. Art house, foreign and Hollywood. Historic site given it's the old hockey forum; interesting commemorative photos and artifacts.

She Reviews Everything

If you go on Tuesday, the movies are half price. But along with that comes long lines and sold out tickets. Buy online. So you can just show up and enjoy@

Emily Ra

Easy to travel around, great selection of movies and scene points accepted

Gareth Sargeant

Great place in the old Montreal Forum to watch movies downtown. Many cinemas. Great popcorn.

Gustavo Ramirez

Many screens but a little bit small. They have many options of movies but not necessarily the most popular. But is a really good choice when you're looking for something outside of the big premieres

Adam Jacques

Amazing theater love the smaller halls in the bottom of the form. Great staff and always show indie movies that wouldn't otherwise be shown in normal theaters. Price is on par with the rest of the world. Most people on here complain about the price its just the way it is. Not a quarter a movie anymore folks sorry.

Matt “Mmmcgyver” MMM

Saw Avengers Infinity war here in ultraavx. It's my favourite format in my favorite theatre. Large comfy seats, clean, high quality audio and video. Many theatres have blown crackling speakers. That's hasn't happened at the AMC forum. I highly recommend it, especially to catch rarer films or films that are past their run elsewhere.

Lesley R

Omg if you haven't taken advantage of the VIP experience watching a movie you're soooooo missing out. There is something amazing about being served at your seat before the movie starts. Having a drink and food while watching a great film on a big screen in a super comfy recliner chair with heated seats....there is NOTHING better.

Akshay Shah

Although the cinema has many screens, but screens are itself very small. Looks like cinema is concentrating on quantity rather than quality. Sound quality is fairly good enough. This is compare to cinema that I have in my home town. Overall not that bad.

Simon Rieffel

It was surprisingly empty for the day before Christmas. I ride the massive elevator, which I don’t recommend if you are scared of heights. Great place.

negar pt

Easy access from metro through the Alexis Nihon shopping center. Great collection of movies

Sergey Vor

I went to tte VIP Forum yesterday. Although their lounge was not crowded, it looked a bit chaotic, with servers running around and I felt a bit lost after asking three different people about ordering process. Anyhow, luckily, all staff members were super nice and polite, in particular Antony who made a great Cesar, a lady who was taking contact details of the lounge guests, and a server (I didn’t see his name on the tag), who brought to their management’s attention my observation remarks. I’ll give it some time and will definitely be back very soon. After living in Toronto where those VIP theatres are all over the city, I can’t be happier about finally having one opened in Montreal DT. Another observation though, the scene cars usually gives 10% off for food items ordered in theatres but it didn’t work for me at the bio lounge for some reason. Hopefully next time this issue will be rectified. Thanks guys!

Rekha Mendhurwar

Best place to watch indian movies in Montreal

Majed Dalal

I tried VIP at this theater. It was good experience. Differently will go again.

IamGaryStevens

Did you know this used to be the old hockey arena? No? Well it was, and the layout is great as a result.

Zachary Jurkowski

A piece of local history for die hard Habs fans. Decent theater, but feels generally run down. All the restaurants inside have closed, as have the major stores and extensive arcade. Cheap indoor parking for 6$ during off hours.

Carl E.

Love coming here to watch movies that aren't being shown at your regular cinema.

ManoharDeep Singh Gill

Nice theatres ????. All Punjabi movies are played here. Once movie started late but they gave me free pass for one movie. Its never busy, thats a plus point. You can also find free street parking near theatre.

Meretrix06

This is a good movie spot, though the theatres are small. Avoid the concessions. Coffee was gross. Stale popcorn.

Lindsey Thibault

Great place to take a date who is as competitive as you, or a group of friends, since there are a lot of activities from watching a movie

Prankur Dave

Nice movie experience. Confortable seats.

Lucie-Wendy Ruel

I went to see Coco with my daughter and she loved it and the popcorn and the free 3d glasses!!

Shimmy Roxx

Great movie theatre! Super spacious. Shows more movies than Scotiabank downtown without being crowded and cramped.

Douna Husin

Weirdest building design/decor reminiscent of the HABS' glory days, sadly the building is being repainted to becoming (as rumour has it) a condo building. The building has a movies theatre with the BEST movie selection in town, thank you for existing. Please don't close ...

Loukia Nitsos

Definitely the better theater when it comes to movie selection and comfy seats, which btw, for all you couples who love to cuddle, the armrests can be moved up so you can get closer to your significant others :D

Baher Hennawi

Good place have all the services required.. Just don't expect free parking

Gabriel Girard

It is built in the old forum arena, keeping the round shape inside and some decorative elements. It is really cool to see.

Guillaume Levasseur

This cinema is located in an historic location, the arena where Montreal's hockey team was playing more than 100 years ago. It has a lot of rooms and shows both independent movies and blockbusters. It is located downtown and it's easy to get there by public transportation. Service was good when I was there, everything was clean. Really, what more to ask of a cinema?

Sonali Uttam

Great theatre, lot of movies- Bollywood too! Nice location, just outside Atwater metro

Guy Tsror

Very pricey concession stand. Gets super busy on Tuesdays, but the theaters themselves are fantastic

Tony Koter

They found and returned my lost Medicare Card! Great Staff and good People!!! Also the theater is pretty good ???? Been going there since the AMC days in the early 2000.

Patsy Stoned

Never crowded. Nice place to take the kids to play games after the movie.

Jasmin Couture

Perfect place to see a movie with all the old forum thing around. Very nice.

Chloe Rose

Usually plays a wide selection of popular, indie, and Franco films. Expect big lines for weekends matinees so arrive early or buy tix in advance

Jacinthe Beaudry

Always clean, great movies. I love the hockey atmosphere.

Henry Yu

This movie theatre is absolutely amazing, good seats, good prices ( on tuesdays) and no lineups. Noone checks your bags here, and there is a dollarama nearby, so you can sneak in snacks if you want. They have the good 3D glasses which don't hurt your face if you have to wear glasses underneath them.

Olivier Labrie

It is a good place for a Flix, just next to the metro station and in front of the shopping mall. There is an A&W and a Mandy's Salad restaurant in the entrance for a quick bite before of after the movie. Also a sport bar on the 3rd floor. Please make sure to check movie availability before getting in, not all the popular movies are available. It seems some Bollywood movies can be seen here also.

Parag Gandhi

Only place in montreal where you can go and watch Indian movies....nice place to unwind...comedy club, arcade pool Hall all under one roof

Rupu Barua

This place used to be famous but it died off. Nice to see this place is coming back to life.

Jordan Amiel

Art house, multi-plex cinema, spread across 3 stories in what was once Montreal's old Hockey arena "Forum" before the Canadiens, and home-ice, moved to a larger venue. This cinema is both centrally located and extremely accessible by public transit, with a bus hub across the street at Cabot Square, and Atwater metro kitty corner in the opposite direction.

N0namestart “le président taïwanais” Bobby the OG

A convenient location for people who's taking green line metro. A pretty large cinema that's also multicultural. It doesn't only have English & French movies but also some international movie in foreign language with eng sub. Recommended for both locals and immigrants.

phamtruax

Love this Movie theatre. Friendly staff and managers. Stay away from the snack bar though, quite expensive. Bring your own food in your bag or jacket (hide it of course).

Rafael Scapin

Just bought a French Vanilla coffee at the inside Tim Horton's just to be informed I could not bring it to the theatre. As the movie was about to start, I just left and got my ticket reimbursed. Cineplex does not sell French vanilla at its facilities. Never coming back again.

Ben Ralph

An Okay large theatre, the fabric seats are old and some look quite disgusting with stains and sometimes seems like there maybe gum even worked into the fabric. With that exception the selection of movies is usually quite interesting and the staff is expectedly nice.

Brandon Morales

Great ambiance. Theres also an arcade on the floor above

Mug Landree

A nice place to hang out in town

Krishna Lohra

Comfortable seats, pretty clean theatres, friendly staff. Overall a pretty good movie going experience!

Mary Ann Miriam Castaneda

I love going there for my movies! Clean, comfortable and cozy!

Greg Kokjian

This movie theatre brings lot of good movies, but unfortunately long line ups to buy tickets, not enough people working to sell tickets. I go there 2-3 times a week, I have complained about it several times, but it never changes. I guess it's the management! Hopefully things will improve!

JoTheJoker

I'm writing this review because I just read another review by "Shweta Rajput." I was actually in the same line and I saw everything. All the ticket seller were actually calling for her because she was next in line but she was too busy talking to her friends, which made "ANNIE" call another couple. When the couple mentioned that the employees were calling for her as they were headed towards "ANNIE," she proceeds to rush towards "ANNIE." But instead of taking her, "ANNIE" signs that it was the couples turn. Long story short, it was "Shweta Rajput"s fault for not paying attention, causing a lineup and over dramatizing a very simple situation. Also, I received great customer service by "ANNIE."

P O

The area surrounding the facility isn’t the nicest. Once inside this formidable old building you will forget. The theatre is built into the historic ice level and basement of the Forum. More than 10 auditoriums with IMAX means every movie is available. Lots of space to move around. Contemporary stadium style seating.

Arturo Contreras

The manager of the cinema was very rude with my kids asking for vaccine proofs when they are less than 11 and wanted us to prove it, I don’t want to carry a passport for my kids when we are just going to the movies. Lack of judgment, very impolite. I’ll never go back, I don’t recommend you to go there, specially if you have kids, the guy started to call security and my little kids got very scary and afraid. This people have very poor education and respect. Never go to Cinema Atwater, I strongly recommend you to avoid this place if you want this people to ruin your movie time with your kids.

Déconfiture En canne

Ok, this is about the VIP place downstairs, for a couple extra bucks you can actually have a good time here. Staff was polite & friendly and gave a great service. The theatre was super comfy and the limited place made it real nice to be among people who were there to see a movie and not being total ????. Hope this place survives because I plan to make it my default place.

Justin Arseneault

Best seating experience in any cinema. But the toilet experience was better in the V.I.P. Brossard

matthew aguba

Great place to watch movies and international movies. Cozy but needs to have more selections on things to eat.

Diego Gabrig

Cineplex Forum has all the infrastructure a good movie theater does, but the really nice thing about it is that it have a number of screenings you can't find in other Blockbuster filled theaters. What it lacks in more modern and fancy rooms, it delivers in variety and diversity.

Reg4gaming

Small and indoors Cinema. But it doesn't make it bad though. You still have every thing that a Cinema has

Aziz Telya

Pretty much the only place to get some of the smaller releases and foreign films, especially Bollywood.

Serena Cotes

The movie theater was very nice and big the surround sound was exactly what I wanted. The mall that it is in appears to be a little run down and in construction but that did not affect my personal movie experience.

Shom T

Bad experience. Nobody at client service desk to complain. While watching Hotel Mumbai, there was a viewer constantly tapping feet on the floor, shouting, warning the actors each time gun fired or explosion or suspense builds up. Movie became a joke. I walked out after an hour in movie. Got my ticket refunded from ticket counter, still lost money in parking and overall wasn't worth ruining a movie experience and an evening.

Habibur Rahman

This is my 3rd time watching movie here. The place is really clean and tidy. Theater is also clean.

Benjamin Homaii, P.Eng.

One of my go-to movie theatres in town. Used to be the Mecca in Montreal because of the hockey rink but now things have changed. Cineplex staff are super kind and friendly and if you've never tried the VIP experience, I do recommend it. It's a hell of a ride. Unfortunately, not all movies are offered in VIP.

Stephen Dilworth

Amazing place. Great stores. Great food. Great people! Highly recommended.

Alberto Ospina Q.

Very good movie theaters. Comfortable and parking indoor.

Carolina Jimenez

Good cinéma. They offer some French movies with English subtitles. Just bring a jacket (even for summer) because the AC is too powerful

Nick T.

Great theatre, much less crowded than the scotiabank one further down Saint-Catherine's. Good choice of films.

Sam Totah (montrealsam)

Movies! Always a pleasure specially if the film fits your mood. Try to go on a rainy day. Or when bitterly cold outside. Read a couple of reviews before also understand the language of the film. Take a good seat both for viewing and hearing. Hopefully there won't be in front of you a huge hat. Otherwise change your seat. Watch the whole movie. Take a break at the end having a light meal or a drink. The movie will affect you next 24-48 hrs. Discuss or tell someone your impressions. Enjoy your outing that's what movies are for!

Sarah

Comfy and spacious seating, the armrests can be folded up if needed, huge screen, the tickets are assigned seating, and the washrooms were clean.

Arnold Tognidê

Great movie theater. Tons of movie choices. All the latest american and foreign movies. The concessions stand is great : loads of choices. The Scene rewards points is great for cinephiles. Watch 9-10 movies and the next one is on the house. The scene card even gives you 10% off on the concessions stand. Has everything you want: regular, 3d, d-box, imax, imax 3d.

Anton “NoTna” K

Went there on a random sudden urge to watch a movie and got into a empty cinema room. Had a great time not having to be quiet. Place is clean and staff is nice. But holy cow the food's expensive!

Ian MacDonald

Excellent large multiplex. Very diverse variety of films for a corporate location.

Kourosh Lalavi

The setting is nice and they usually have a good selection of movies, including a large selection of blockbusters and acclaimed international movies. What I didn't like too much is the seats, that are not the most comfortable and also the attitude from the staff at the customer service booth which wasn't what I expected. But overall a good movie theater.

Jason WD

It's a good cinema but it's got a kind of dead feeling. Still, if you want to enjoy a film without the crowds this is the place.

Marcelo Bassani de Freitas

The rooms are amazing. And the coolest thing is that they honor the old stadium or the habs. Get one too is to get a cineplex card and accumulate points to get free movies.

Mateo H Casís

One of my favorites in Mtl. Usually showcasing have the no blockbuster.

David Williams

This place has been renovated big time and looka great! Loved the VIP experience. So nice to have one within Montreal now!

Christian Truchsess

The staff is the absolute friendliest I have seen yet in MTL. English, French? No problem! The VIP experience is absolutely fantastic. Very clean, COVID protocols followed to a T; very comfortable and spacious, reclining seats, with space for couples. Richard is a fantastic manager. He was understanding and keen to provide the best experience possible for the customers. It was greatly appreciated. Theatres are not dead yet! I'd advise anyone looking for a nice movie night out to go here, and support the jobs of the kind staff.

Robert Solek

The new VIP cinemas at the forum are spectacular. Reclining seats, heated if you want, lots of legroom and friendly staff. We enjoyed our experience.

Erika L.

The theaters are big, comfortable chairs, decent food. It is a nice place to hang out.

Athen B

They play all the indie and foreign movies most theatres don’t get and have cheap underground parking after 4PM on weekdays. The Forum Bar is also on the floor above and has a great arcade, as well as bowling.

manpreet singh

Gd place to watch hindi and punjabi movies in montreal perhaps the only one

Antonio Ioffreda

I don't understand why this theatre isn't busier, a little pricey but really nice. Interesting movies too.

Joseph Porrovecchio

Modelled in the memory of the famous Montreal Canadians Forum - this Cineplex isa cool sports complex converted to movie theatre . Easily accessible from Attwater station.

Anne

This is a chill theatre with comfortable seats and a great selection of movies. This theater mainly plays the limited release films and animated films. There's a ton of space and the old hockey seats are a great meet up spot for friends.

Petit Pois

We went on a Tuesday night and the VIP room was completely filled. The 2 attendants barely looked at us as we walked in. We ordered a bottle of wine and some dessert to have at our seats and it took them 40 minutes to get it to us but not before going from seat to seat to see who ordered it. Of course they brought someone else’s meal to us as well. How can this be called the VIP experience when the service is this bad?!? This is our second visit. The first one was excellent so we decided to give it another try but at this rate, we’ll just wait for the video to come out. Staff needs to be better trained

Aynsley Jay

The seats in the theatres are very dirty, could use an update.

em

Honestly my favorite theater. They have big Hollywood releases, but also a lot of indie movies you wouldn't usually get to see on the big screen in a Cineplex. Also I got a sweet Spidey plushie there so yahoo.

Osama Alnajjari

Great service and very comfortable seats but the menu is a bit expensive tbh

Clint Lavallee

Nice theater but 11 minutes of commercials at the exact showtime before even the previews is pathetic!!! 13$ is not enough to bear???? Then we have to sit through this???? The movie experience continues to diminish as far as I an concerned.

Felipe Morales-Siordia

A bit dingy and somber. Service a bit slow and choice of movies not alwys great. Lacks more family friendliness

Dava Bergeron

I have not been in an IMAX theater in a long long time, and what a disappointment. First the sound, I don't know if this is the local staff or just IMAX in general, but it sounded tiny, there was zero presence and even the usual sound demo that plays at the beginning was screwed up (you barely heard the pin drop and didn't feel the bass when the plane flew over the audience ????). Then the image, I noticed it was pixely ... Then I made some research and found out why, it's basically two 4k images (only double what we can have at home) for a screen this size! All in all, unless you're a kid that have to go to the theater to make out with your girlfriend in the dark I would not recommend it.

mostafa elbediwy

Worst sound system ever. The air conditioner wasn't working, and we told the staff with no actions. My worst night in a cinema was there.

Cameron Wentker

I've been visiting this theater almost every day during my trip to montreal. They have a huge selection of movies and many available showtimes. Between the kiosks and the customer service reps I haven't had to wait more than five minutes before getting my ticket. Because of the vast selection and several showtimes, the theater is never too crowded either.

Ash Saha

Pretty good place when the other downtown location isn't showing the same movie. Almost everything is just a notch under when comparing. Decent seating and rooms. The ULTRAAVX room is very comfortable however.

FATIMA MANZAR

I have been here a lot of times .. nice , clean and decent place

Nigah Awj

Lots of activities!! Great place to have some nice family time.

Vanessa maraima

Another nice option to watch movies. Easy access with the metro Atwater

Orion

Great Cinema near Downtown, ultraAVX seats goes very far back though.

Matt McKillop

Unbelievably loud volume settings on the previews yesterday, to the point where the loudest parts physically hurt my ears. Never had a cinema experience so unpleasant in my life. Either the employees/systems are stupid, or just neglectful of everyone's health. I'll never go back.

Q (白挪)

The best theatre in town. Located close to malls and metro station. They don't push the covid comedy to the limit like in the Scotia theatre and have a more realistic and human approach.

Kunal

Superb theatre.

Mohamed Saleh

Best cinema in vip

Gregory Omassi

Historic landmark for Montreal near atwater metro. Plays some older films. IMAX included here.

Camille Montes

Great place to go to the movies or play a game a ping pong, the arcade is pretty neat as well.

MR. Adviteeya

Nice and crowdy i watch many movies here

Diana Ramos

I like this Cineplex complex because they show not just popular films but also international ones. The theatres are modern, clean and the sound system is great. The IMAX screen is smaller than the one at the Scotia Bank Cinema. They just implemented a single line system at the food counter so no worries anymore to pick up the slowest line!

Stefan Mischook

Not great food and service. Go to Cage for better. But it is cheap.

Sakumi (Haruka Sakurano)

Wonderful place to watch movies. The places are usually very clean, including the bathrooms. Service can be slow occasionally but otherwise the workers are nice and respectful. The food is also very good.

Samarth Gupta

The IMAX screen is small when compared with Scotia cinema other than that its fine

Bianca Hutanu

This place is really great, as any other theatre the food/ snacks are overpriced, but at least the movie rooms are clean and comfortable. It's nice because there are alot of other activities that are super close, like the arcades, a bowling, poll tables and a resto/bar.

Rajasekhar k

Movies..Gym..Games

Aroh Wendelin

This is a unique movie complex in the rebuilt Forum. The movie selection is always strong and varied.

Jamie Madill

My go to cinema. I really like the selection of foreign films and indie flicks. It's still a gonzo theater full of kids and noisy folks but I'm going to continue going here for as long as I'm in Montreal.

AJ Cordeiro

This is my favourite movie theatre in the city - you can watch the latest big budget Hollywood flick, or you catch a limited release that is only playing in select cities. Located in the former home of the Montréal Canadiens (Le Forum), this Cineplex is a great stop and easy to access from the Metro (Atwater). For pricing, this theatre is owned by Scotiabank Cineplex, so you'll be paying a little extra. And definitely eat before coming to the theatre - food and beverage prices are high.

Tejas Kanitkar

Well it's a good place for movies. Easily accessible and does have sports bar in the same mall. Most of the movies are found here may it be Hollywood or bollywood

Daniel Joseph

Great place to go with another adult for a movie. More expensive but also more clean and comfortable.

Mila Araujo

It's a fun place to look at the old hockey seats and statues commemorating the history of the Old Forum of Montreal, the interior design is a cool concept. Go upstairs and look down on "Center ice" - I posted a photo here of that view...however don't plan to stop there for more than half an hour, there are so many more amazing historic sites to spend time in Montreal. Take a few photos and head out to the Bell Center where the courtyard also has statues that pay tribute to our hockey greats and also is surrounded by historic buildings and cathedrals. The vibe here is very commercial, so you don't really feel much culture.

Mo Jabbari

Always quiet, but since they have a lot of theatres, their selection is better than almost all other theatres

Tony Lim

After cineplex took over and renovated this cinema it's value has definitely went up. Nice seats, enjoyable cinema.

Jocelyn Deguise

Lots of movie choices. Great audioand visual quality.

Nathalie D

It's like bringing the comfort of ypur living room to the movies with the super bonus of getting your food and drinks brought to you and not having to miss any part of the movie. Our waiter was very polite, the service we experienced was great. It was definitely worth the try.

SAMSUNG LOVER SAM

Good place to watch Bollywood movirs

Adolf

their AVX feels like im watching in an IMAX cinema

Jelitza Salazar Morante

Children attractions are old. Some machines don't work properly

Kimora Pierce

For a theater, the food is actually very good and not too marked up. It's a pretty cool building and it's always been clean with great service when I've visited. I don't go to movies as much as I used to, but this is my spot when I need my kino on the big screen.

Ricardo A

Crowded. Including in the line before the Vaxicode check. And security staff was asking us to pack in closer to each other. In times of COVID it's not where you want to be.

Andrew Sosnowski

Friendly people and good popcorn with butter. Also cool that this is the old Forum where so many hockey championships were won over the years

Domenic Gullaci

The IMAX rooms are fantastic great experience for a movie going experience, but catching a general admission showing at this movie theatre is ROUGH, usually there is no AC and it gets VERY VERY HOT. Not ideal

Ammaad Farooq

Multi Cinema place. Showing latest movies. Also play old movies at discounted price.

Max Smith

Loved the movie, popcorn was fresh and I loved that the cashier asked me how I wanted the butter on my popcorn.

Stanley Cooper

Exvelkant theater to see a movie. Very comfortable.

Ariston Kalpaxis

Upset that food was not available beyond 10:15 for a 10:00 movie. Left my hat here, hope the accommodating staff will deliver. Nice large theaters.

T. Schmidli

Always showing non-mainstream films alongside the big Hollywood blockbusters. Cozy place and usually not too packed. The location within the old Forum is a great added bonus!

Elias Sednawi

Clean theatets with confortable seats.. easy fast tickets pickup when you buy online.

J Quest

Pretty good just as a regular cinema (nevermind the VIP thing). The concession stand cashier guy named Robert is hilarious, haven't seen such an enthusiastic employee for a long time

Arsil Vahora

good place.not too much crowd and can get all type of movie

Luc-André Grégoire

There are small and big screen, you just doesn't know before buying the ticket if it is a big screen or a smaller one.

Jean-Sébastien Audet

Recent movies, Starbucks coffee available and the of fashion feel of some of the room is quite enjoyable. Good mix of modern and history together.

henry_b12

Really charming movie theater that shows great lesser known movies, not only blockbusters.

Iqbal Singh

I come here almost every weekend All staff is very polite except one that is MANDY Always so rude ;almost ready to fight

Chris G

The VIP seats were awesome. Loved the experience.

Rony Islam

Good place. New tech experiences are available. But pricey.

Marcos Guimaraes

I think that the price would be better and kids free. The commercial before the movie is very long, my kids were impatients. I prefer the cinemark in Brazil, but I am in Montreal so I recommend.

Michel Mancini

The VIP section is a great addition to the Forum Cinema with their great seats and comfy too I recommend

Alain Cacchione

The movie theatre is ok. I like going to the movies and it is the usual Cineplex set-up. However, I find directions to find the movie theatre are lacking for people who do not go there often. I am a Montrealer and I had a hard time finding it. There is likely underground parking, but I did not check. You can get there with the Metro. There is also parking on the street with park meters.

Martin Poirier

Better then brossard for the seat.

Alexandre Debargis

Not your Normal looking movie theatre! It has like 20 rooms but these are smaller than the average Cineplex ones I liked the vibe it emitted Was very quiet but I also went there at 10pm on a Monday night, so it is probably not representative

anshul tiwari

nice and cozy place to enjoy a movie. many number of screens hence offering many options running simultaneously to enjoy from. location is great to, walking distance from anywhere in downtown. only issue, not exactly, network coverage and entry n exit points mapping.

simran bhangu

Very good service

William Kemp

It is very nice place to visit people are very feirndly

Inty Alam

Love this theater never crazy busy as the one on Peel. A very well maintained and clean theater.

Ali Yar

The sound was very good and everything else was as you would expect from a good movie theater.

Kinza Sheikh

It was fine and good to see open again

L Slater

It was good as always.

Franco Huynh

SECURITY GUARDS ABUSING THEIR POWER... So today, me and my friends decided to hang out around and take some photos around the complex without any intention to cause any trouble. Suddenly, there was an agent who came to us and asked us to not sit on the floor, so we kindly agreed and continued our photoshoot session. We even decided to go to the third floor because it is mostly quiet and therefore, we would not disturb anyone. The agent actually followed us for X reason and was keeping an eye on us from the elevator. He caught my friend *sitting* when he was actually *squatting* for the angle and position of the photo. He came to us and kicked us out since he told us beforehand to not "sit" . We just couldn't do anything else but to follow his order since apparently, he is the supervisor of the building. I just want to precise that there are actually no specific rule that forbids us to sit on the floor... even the students from Dawson tend to do it when they are waiting for their next class and they certainly did not get in trouble for that. I just felt that the agent was not acting professional at all. It really seemed like he just wanted to kick some random people for random reason, also it was at 10pm approx. so there wasn't many people around. You guys should truly reconsider keeping him as an employee to be honest... it was a very unpleasant experience for all of us. Me and my friends will make sure to never come here again.

fred

Amazing experience at the vip section. Lots of choice on the menu for food and drinks and the staff is really nice! You can watch your movie comfortably, you can adjust the headrest and foot rest. The bathrooms are renovated and are nice and clean.

Richard Bastarache

Great selection of films, they have a lot of foreign and independent movies running as well as some of the hits. The IMAX doesn't seem as big as at Cineplex Scotiabank.

Simarpreet Sethi

The employees are so rude at this place. The general Manager Richard does not know how to handle the customers.Very bad experience

Sweet Sophie

Love that place! The decor is so nice and they have a lot of arcades!

Manny M.

Just ridiculous. Awful. staff has to get some coaching classes, as they have no manners. the first cheapest theater i found in the city that forces you to throw your food before entering in the hall, Never Going Back.

Stéphy Steph

Convenient location and more selection of indie movies than the downtown location.

themano Pacman

Nice

Rania Abiad

we played bowling very excited game

Anthony Vucko

I went to the cinema today. There was no air conditioning in the room that I was in. I went to the cinema to cool off from the heat wave, and there was no air conditioning. Terrible customer service.

Gabriel Lukuc

Good cinema overall but charging too much fees even on cheapy tuesdays. They take advantage that they dominate the market. Also, if they charge so much, they should invest some money in their website and app as they are extremely slow and not at all user friendly.

Aubey Laufer

Excellent Service

E Abba

Vip is such a great experience ..love the seats so much ..lazy boy heaven while watching favorite movie

Rafika

Best place in town for movie's. Clean cinemas amazing sound and the best selection of movies, opera, stage and spevial events. Great customer service and staff. My go to place.

K. M.

Fun and entertaining for all ages. A historic building where the Habs used to play for many many years before they moved to the Bell Centre. Always feel a bit nostalgic when I enter the building where they won the Stanley Cup in 93’. Many big screens available to the Cineplex with a variety of movies playing from Hollywood to Bollywood and many other international movies. Clean and well managed. Parking is cheap and easy to get around.

Jeff Milstock

Very nice looking theatre that is often the sole venue to catch certain movies in the province of Quebec.

G Figueredo

It´s near the metro, good movie selection, but they need better signals to tell people where the main entrance is

ian mackenzie

They public washrooms for men are terrible. The doors dont lock have to push and tug to get the door close. One stall has been out of service for three weeks. Handicap stall doesn't even lock. Maybe they should make sure all stalls are working properly. And the doors close with out having to push and tugon them and put a lock on the handicap stall. That would be much better than throwing people out for sitting on the floor. If people want to sit on the floor they are not bothering any one.

Julia Sky

Love this place! Super staff! Games and sports in the forum. Perfect place to relax and hang out!

T

Do not recommend. I am at theovie right now. Paid 40 for 2 tickets in IMAX for Black Panther at the 4:40 show on a Friday. The place room is dirty. Popcorn on the floor, cineplex magazines on the Floor, coup holders are sticky, and the seats are uncomfortable. I understand of it was a $10 ticket, but for $20 they need to up their game! Side note a lady in previous showing lost a lapel pin. She came in, the attendant turned on the lights. He gave her like 3 minutes of annoyed waiting with the lights on. Did not help her. Just waited by door. Just avoid... Go to VIP or other theatre.

Errol Camlioglu

Parking is underground and easy, although it is paid parking. When you purchase your tickets for the IMAX theater, you get to choose your seats immediately, so you don't have to worry about getting into the theater early to get the best seats. The IMAX theater that we went into was smaller than I'm used to for IMAX screens. The seats are not that comfortable, as they are worn and do not hold their position well. The entire Cinema is clean however, as is the theater. The sound system is excellent. It's also very easy to walk across the street to Alexis Nihon, to do some shopping before or after the show.

Samantha Jae Tacay

Bit outdated and a lot of the games weren't working. Pool table were 1-2hr wait and bowling.. didn't even bother.

amandeep kaur gill

Good to watch all kind of movies

Kevin K Perso

Awesome place to go, it redefines meaning of going to the movies. Everything in 1 spot for a 5 stars night. Way better than any theater! Thanks

Craig Gomes

Pretty nice theatre, comfy seats, clean, but popcorn could taste better

Mike Finkelstein

It was really nice to go back to a movie theater. The seats are reserved and you are seated at a safe distance. We were 5 of us in the room watching Kong vs Godzilla!

david chris

Seats are not so comfortable as I taught had really bad experience

Jacob Brach

I was there about a half year ago. I got very bad service. was a lady who gave us a lot of attitude, place itself is good. it has bowling, comfortable, !

TJI

I like this cinema personally they have good films and nice location, buy tickets online for Tuesday’s because it’s slammed

mina babahaji

The audio volume was so high but every thing else was fine

grace chan

Love it! Super comfy and not too crowded

Danial Ahmad

Ok place. Not very pleasant. But you can find bars and arcade and pool and of course movies. But I find this cinema quite unclean and rooms are small. Only go there for foreign movies. Otherwise just don't.

Martin Juneau

Great experience with all the protocols respected.

Rob Daoud

Nice clean comfortable movie theater. Not cheap but I guess that's the price these days! They are doing some renovations so some escalators are out of order.

KPopsicle Han

Nice cinema, they show lots of foreign movies and plays and stuff.

review bunnyFive

Careful of stupid people interrupting the movie in the peak moments by 'accident'. This is NOT a mere accident, they work for a company and are trying to advertise their products inside movies. Make sure you make a photo of the person whom does this and report it on the internet. Confront them!

attiya mujeeb

Awesome place

Max Chau

Okay theater, but has some good indie? Selection. Basically if it's not at scotia Bank cinema, it'll likely be at forum.

Éric Tran

So my friend got kicked out of the forum by sitting down at the stairs at the third floor and please talk with your security , they were 100% innoncent i dont understand why they did that. The security supervisor is very abnoxious and didnt have any manners. Thank you!

Kev kin

Nice, clean

David McKay

Love it! Always lots of movies on tap, connected to the metro, and it has more space and therefore more choice than the other one on Metcalfe and St. Catherine. Plus, you can bowl upstairs!

Komalpreet Singh

VIP experience was really mind blowing. Screen and audio quality in regular was not that good but ultra is really fun. And again VIP experience is worth trying.

George Tali

Expect a lengthy wait for passport check right before any popular movie is about to play, otherwise it’s a good theatre.

akash singh

Good place to watch movies

Vg G

Great movie theater inside the forum building. Good staff.

Armando Ienaro

Sounds and image quality are great seats are comfortable but a little flat. Overall great experience!

Elie Doray

They dont seem to have air conditionning for some reason

Maria Galan

The seats are old and extremely uncomfortable. For a cinema downtown they should consider renovating their rooms to match the standard of a cinema one would expect for downtown Montreal.

Matthew Behr

Fun place to see a movie. Building has a cool history

Charles Colin

This cinema has the largest selection of films in Montreal including foreign films and it's close to downtown and right next to a metro station

Jenny Tran

Some security guards were being impolite and disrespectful towards me and my friends. We are regular customers who come here every week, yet they kicked us out simply for sitting on the floor. This is an absurd rule that I have never heard of, and I felt that he was being racist towards us. This was a very bad experience and therefore, I will never go back there again.

Rachel Green

everything you would expect of a cinema in the age of Covid: clean and full of movies.

Nick T.

Great theatre, much less crowded than the scotiabank one further down Saint-Catherine's. Good choice of films.

The Mon

Great screens, good sound system, and beautiful looking cinema. One star off because snacks and food are insanely over priced.

M P

I never wrote a bad review in my life and never thought I would ever do but had to share my experience..... Bought our tickets, popcorn and they check out tickets and showed us where to go. Movie was great! At 18:40, today; We tried to figure out how to leave. Me and my partner tried to open the exist door but it was quite heavy. Thinking it was locked we turned and tried to look for another way to exist. One of the workers at the cineplex approached us and accused us of trying to enter without tickets. We showed him our tickets and explained we were trying to leave but doors were locked his response was in a very sarcastic way "I believe in you". Very Rude! Unprofessional! Honestly what kind of Customer Service is this? You should seriously pick and choose the people that deal with the public or at least send them to some kind of course maybe it will teach them some manners!! Would definitely not recommend this place to anyone!!!!!!!!

David

Went to watch 007 with my dad (first time since the pandemic) really disappointed quality of service and food dropped down...... my nachos was basically destroyed ....asked to exchange for a better one and was told that I cannot because I touched it with my hand (plate) at the counter ....afterward he said all the nachos are the same (broken pieces).... I've also ordered a kids meal for my dad since he doesn't have a big appetite and was being judge for a little man ...... will definitely not go back there ....felt like they just wanted to get rid of the customer fast ....

Sebastian Diaz

Pretty good but they don't have the newest movies

Maria Gomes

Perfect indoor parking only 6$ after 4:00 !

Juliette Fong

I would give it a 3.5 stars very good screens & sound but I hate how they left so little seating in the lobby area. What's with that the population is aging needs it more than ever. This is the #1 cinema that mom & I meet at, it is hatd for het to stand or try to climb/scale the tall stools.

Mark Mariquit

Worst costumer service!! I’m asking one of their cashiers if I can refill my drinks and she give me attitude saying no you can’t and she said I should know that!! And leave me on the counter!! Then after that she went to one of her colleagues and looking at me while making fun of me!! I really don’t appreciate what she did to me!!

ultraviolet light

Comfy seating and they don't rush you out before the credits are done.

Philippe Thomas Forbes

There is a good selection of independent and international movies who are not usually broadcast at others cineplex theatre. Sound system and screen quality are decent. Rooms are large and seats comfortable.

Suzanne Bourque

Great place 4 gathering with friends. The bowling alley needs repairs

Louis Sciannamblo

So easy to find a calm theatre with not too many guests - making it great for a date night! You'll feel like you have the place to yourself, especially on an off night.

Tejinder pal Singh Dhadly

Good place for movies and entertainment

Maarten van Hell

Great place to spend an evening, friendly and easy going staff.

Alim LS

Great customer service, they have many movie choices, good pop corn, reasonable prices.

Alex

The regular theaters have uncomfortable seats, usually leaves you with a neck pain after the show. The screen is smaller than other regular theaters. The exit is like a maze if you don't use the elevator, takes you about 5 minutes if you want to play the game and get out of the building.

Xiao-Long Chang

Good variety of movies showing on a good number of screens. Good location.

Veronique Roy

the bar with the arcade is pretty nice after a good movie.

Al Doroja

Great service , clean and food was good. It's a different experience than the typical cinema. 4.5 stars ???? ????

Jessica Ross-Robitaille

Had a great experience. Staff are polite, there a pool table and bar to enjoy before your movie and they bring your food to you only bad side is it’s extremely expensive. 2 cocktails and a fry costs around 45 $

Hugo Haumichtot

Best theatre for movies in English. Many other Mtl theaters show badly dubbed French versions of original English.

Anik S

Good quality theater. Good picture and sound. Service at concession counter is a bit slow.

Nicolas Renaud

The vip experience changed my take on going to the movies. Just remember to get there early. The recliner seats are more comfortable than laying in you bed at home. They can bring you food that is very decent. And cocktails are GREAT. Just remember that you cannot order during the film, i should have ordered another cocktail or one of their signatire bowls that look gigantic. It really turned around the movie going experience from meh to something nice and special, a true night out.

Steve Stevenson

Great selection of movies, decent movie expefiance. But everything is very expensive, from tickets to popcorn which they don't even offer refills for. Pay too much for what you get.

Sukh Maraharh

It is very good theatre and the structure of the place is very nice

Meezy Joseph

Good

Salman Tariq

Very nice cinema but some staff members are rude.

Nate Neel

Love it, I mean I love all cineplex. The forum shows even international movies if your into that as well.

Jaime Otero

This theater's main hall is designed like a hockey venue with stadium seats and statues of hockey players. Very cool! Good photo opportunity. Good screens. Please note, people afraid of heights would probably be better using the elevator. The escalator seems very high. The Atwater Metro station is very close but depending on the exit used you will need to go up a floor to exit the building, cross the street and enter the building that houses the movie theater. Careful! The bronze plaques on the floor are super slippery with snow and ice.

Ksusha Moreira

Great variety of movies, easy to go by metro. However, the cinema room was so empty that I felt kind of lonely - it was only me, my husband, a grandma and a couple of more people. We go to cinema for the experience, to watch the movie with others, to feel the company, not to feel empty and bored in a desert. That made me think: why do the people avoid Cineplex? Is there something there that I still don't know? Folks, please help me, I need an update.

Ewa Spoczynska

This is a place to see good movies that you will not have a chance to see anywhere else. It's a big place with up to 22 cinemas and other venues like restaurants, shops, big pool game place. Next to Alexis Nihon metro station and shopping mall. Parking indoors.

Troublesome Trouble

Large-scale downtown Montreal Cineplex movie theatre. Located in the converted old Montreal Forum building (previous hockey arena and one-time home to the Montreal Canadiens) at Atwater metro station, this location originally opened as an AMC theatre and was intended to offer an alternative (competition) to the other big downtown English Language theatre, the Paramount cinema, at Ste Catherine St W and Metcalfe Street, then owned by competing company Famous Players (now called the cinema Scotiabank, owner by Cineplex which absorbed Famous Players). AMC Canada was also later absorbed into the Cineplex umbrella. This rebranded cinema spanning 3 stories, has 22 separate theatres of which all offer closed captioning and assisted listening device services; 7 are RealD 3D capable; 1 offers UltraAVX (enhanced audio-visual); and 1 is an IMAX screen. As of 2018 the Cineplex Forum location shows a mix of mainly English-, or foreign-, language films, trending more towards an independant studio and art house vibe (with some blockbuster spillover) than the busier Scotiabank location, only a 5 minute metro ride away, which shows primarily big mainstream titles. The forum is readily accessible by public transit and bicycle, as it lies along the de Maisonneuve bike route and is situated across the street from both the Atwater Metro station (green line), and a Bus route connection hub (at carré Cabot Square/ routes 15, 63, 90, 104, 108, 138, 144, 150, 350, 354, 356, 358, 360, 364, 371, 376). There is limited indoor/underground pay-parking (accessed via rue Lambert-Closse, 1 street east of rue Atwater), as well as metered street parking in the area - though it can be difficult to find an available spot due to meter restrictions and competition for spots as the immediate area contains large shopping centers, office and condominium buildings, as well as 3 colleges (Dawson, CDI, and LaSalle) and Concordia University’s downtown Sir George Williams Campus.

Tammy Boisvert

No toilet paper. Soap. Paper towels. Couldnt go sit down with a child in a cast not impressed tonight experience sucked

Michael Ramos

Been going to see movies here for a long time, with the amount of traffic this theater sees it impresses me good my movie going experience is. Staff must be on point, good job.

teresita Velasquez

My friend is in a wheelchair & wanted to see a movie here. It was very wheelchair accessible, and building parking was only $6. The seats are very comfortable. We enjoyed the experience very much.

David Astrof

While this is not a repertoire movie theatre, it comes pretty close. There are certainly some Hollywood blockbusters, but there are also a lot of movies that you would not normally see in major theatres. This coupled with foreign films from India Pakistan and the Philippines among other countries makes for one of the more interesting theatres in Montreal. Public transport, with the subway right there makes this place a convenient go-to entertainment venue but if you feel the need to take your car, parking underground is only $6 after 4 p.m.

Raphaelle Bielot

I loved the VIP section. The menu is great and the seats are very comfortable ! Make sure you arrive in advance to enjoy ordering the drinks and food at your seat.

Tony Macklovitch

Very empty and dull

Rob Loeub

It’s ok but definitely not my favourite cinema. Often plays exclusives though so you’re forced to go there.

Guillaume F

No A/C in the theater no. 11 when it was 30 degrees outside. The only reason I go to the movies during the summer is to enjoy the A/C. It was hot, humid, and unconfortable. And the sound of the movie we watch "Beatriz at Dinner" was not loud enough.

PAVEL Janowitz

Very large theater, with a good almost repertory selection. Chinese and Baliwood films are part of the mix, as is Canadian/Quebéc new releases. Hollywood, kid movies, and LIVE CULTURAL fare are there too. The old forum is a neat edifice.

Jyoti Pannu

Very cute cineplex. There's a bar upstairs with many games, ping pong tables, pool tables, much more. Most films were in English.

Jimmy Santos

Great place to take a date who is as competitive as you, or a group of friends, since there are a lot of activities from watching a movie, to bowling, pool, arcade games, table tennis, air hockey, shuffle board etc. Beer selection is pretty basic. They also have specials on different days of the week. They also have a lot of TVs for sports and play UFC fights.

tagbejule2010

Had a wonderful time today... cool clean classy environment.

Tre

Great selection of independent and international films. Not usually over crowded. It just lacks the food options of other Cineplex locations.

Maxime Césaire

It's a big cinema and usually not the most crowded place. It offers a different kind of movie selection ( lots of independent and ethnic movies). It's relatively clean enough around the walking areas and inside the rooms. It's nice to be close to the Atwater metro/bus terminal. Great to have an easy quick access to the mall "place Alexi Nihon" and other fun places like; a bistro bar/restaurant/bowling/pool tables/arcades and other games, the Comedy Nest, all inside that old and historical hockey forum to wich they kept a little hockey vibe (old benches, statues etc). One downside would be the small choice of actual cinema food/snacks, although there is a decent choice of restaurants in and around that complex. Enjoy your movies!

Combat x

Popcorn was great, seat and sound is also great and comfort

Louis M

Went there for a movie yesterday. Service was good, the employees were polite and the theater was prestine. It may be because of the no food regulation but it's just great. Thanks for the experience.

Rafika Charania

Mega cinema complexe, latest buster movies, foreign films ballet, Opera events and much more. Super clean and friendly staff. Full stocked consession stand.

Lucas Durant

The seats are awesome. Food and booze is expensive, but to be expected... It was good though! Truffle fries and donuts were awesome!

Bev wohlmuth

Oh this place is so great. Old memory of the great Canadiens hockey and to see movies and to have a coffee to just to relax.

Stéphy

Always clean, comfortable seats and good movie selection. The location is also very convenient.

Keenan Patel

Typical downtown theater, go early and you'll find seat, come late to a new film just coming out and you're going to have to sit in the front row

Jitendra Shah

It is a good place. Parking cost $6.00 in the evening.

Barbara Komorowski

The VIP movie experience is like none other! You can lean back, eat truffle fries, and sip on a nice beer all while socially distanced from other movie goers. It's brilliant!

Justin S

Really nice set up, comfortable seating and friendly service. Only no cell service in the theatre so couldn't pull up the menu via QR code, but luckily they had a paper one available.

Karim Kuperhause

We like going to this location because there are never any lineups and service is fast.

Bernardo Campos Villa

Nice redecoration of the old arena. Perfect from dawson students, it's pretty much become my default hanging spot for long breaks

Stuffed Aubergines

The VIP cinema is great. Very comfortable seating and excellent service from staff.

mohammed fahmi

Good service nice employees fries and shocken are delicious

Tamana Mehri

Great theatre, best in the area and the people are more than welcoming. You truly get the theatre experience here, and much more. I actually happened to forget one of my favourite hats at a movie at this theatre one night and figured it would be a hopeless pursuit to get it back, considering I lived a province away. However I was shocked to see how kind the people behind this theatre were when they not only helped me locate my hat, but they had actually shipped it to me and paid for the shipping charges! Needless to say I was amazed by how they were willing to help me out. What a great theatre experience. Also you cant go wrong with cheap movies on a tuesday night!
