Currently this firm gets a score of 4.4 stars over 5 and this rating has been based on 127 reviews.
You must have seen that it has an average rating is very positive, and it's based on a very high number of feddbacks, so we may be pretty sure that the score is quite accurate. If many people have bothered to value when they are pleased with the business, is that it works.
You know that we do not usually stop to give evaluations when they are good and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or incidence...
This Movie Theater corresponds to the category of Movie theater.
I like the 3D hall and the quality was good Food and water was expensive there 5$ for water or Cola
It is the 2nd best cinema I have ever seen
While I had a hard time using their website, the facilities are very nice and have everything you would expect from the movie theater
Other than things being weird because of being in a pandemic and having to wear a mask through the whole movie.. It was a good experience.
Excellent location
All my 'movie' life in my whole duration of stay in Montreal(more than 4 years) happened only in this theatre. I can't imagine my movie-on-weekend life without this.
Jumanji in 3D... Best thing i ve ever seen.. I couldn't stop laughing... ???????????????????? Strongly recommend
Theatre rooms are great with nice seats and great sound. Just the staff is very impolite and most act like snotty kids. Doesn't want to make you go back
I love this cinema! Nice place to watch a movie and enjoying popcorn with your friends and family, very big and amazing movies ???? very clean and all staff friendly
Loved it
Stephen stewart at the ticket counter gave us great service! He was personable and nice to us ! Great guy
Great place for mainstream movies, Imax available, as well as vibrating thingy chairs if you can put the price for it. Go on tuesdays to have half price :)
Clean theatre with comfortable seating and perhaps the most convenient located theatre in all of Quebec. My only true complaint would be that the ticket retrieving and purchasing areas are disorganized and tight: a claustrophobic mess! There has to be a better way to organize the ground floor. Also, reserved seating is the standard ticket issuing system in "developing" countries. They don't charge extra for it. Kinda makes you wonder doesn't it?
Best theatre in the city. Only one that offers true 70 mm imax, and for standard movies the screens are huge and seats very comfortable.
Love coming here. Great service and they have the Close caption service
The place to go if you want to watch movies in any possible type of format. Plus their arcade section is pretty complete. It's one of the last cineplexes in Montreal with an actual DDR machine.
Respectable Cinema. Has great selection of movies, and comfy chairs.
It's big. Very similar to other Scotiabank theatres. Multiple floors although sometimes a couple floors are completely empty. Theatre 9 had awesome, comfortable seats. I dont remember the other theatre being quite as comfortable. No complaints.
It's always very clean and the staff is quite friendly. I do not recommend buying your tickets online and using your phone to claim them. The lines are insanely long during evenings.
If you want a true IMAX experience this is the only theatre in Montreal that has it that shows movies (the other theatre is the Science Centre). For a theatre in the middle of downtown it's surprisingly clean inside for the amount of people that are there.
Great theatre, huge crisp screens! Avoid 3d the normal imax theatre is brighter and clearer
We are so fortunate to be able to return to the movie theaters. The service received was fantastic and it was truly appreciated. Thank you to the manager that was working tonight as well as their employee Chiara for taking care of complex client situations during these challenging times.
Excellent cinema. Hidden special features at every level.
There’s always something crazy going on near this location. That’s one of the main things I love about Montreal, but sometimes it’s nice to just kick back and watch a great movie. Friendly staff, comfy seats, and vast variety of munchies. I once had an issue with the payment of my movie ticket, so the manager compensated me with 2 free tickets with the option of VIP theatre. I was 100% satisfied.
Awesome place. IMAX screen is massive! Scene points make buying food a bit cheap. Most days you can walk in and get tickets. Online booking works like a charm as well.
Great movie theater.
The better cinema in downtown montreal, but arrive early to movies on tuesdays because it gets crowded due to half price movies.
Those seats need some love.all the leather is cracking up
Wasn't impressed last time I went here. It seemed very dirty, I almost didn't want to sit on the seats.
I have tried many cinemas so far this cinema is my favourite. The imax screen is one of the biggest among all imax here.
An amazing venue, however 2 stars because: 1) freezing cold water in the men's room making it literally painful to wash your hands: 2) employees couldn't care less, not smiling and unhelpful (particularly at the Tim's on the 2nd floor; 3) few resting areas are available, and late night access to the metro station is complicated with all the doors barred.
The place to go see English movies. The biggest cinema theathor in downtown with three floors and one IMAX room. During busy days this place is full and tickets are sold out pretty fast.
Went to see Spiderman in 3D and the 3D felt really bad. After the whole movie we realized that we needed to put our glasses backwards for the 3D to work... Would have liked to have a refund but there was no more employee left when I left the room
It's a cool place to watch movies.
Great movie theater at a really easy to reach location. Their food (like any other movie place) is overpriced. They have a good amount of screens and they're all very good quality.
Doesn't deserve one star. Discriminates against non-quebuecois people. Will not allow Canadians or international paying customers in.
Watch frozen ll with my friends, rlly big cinema compared to others. We even chat a bit with the “workers “ the room is pretty normal. Seats were comfortable and the popcorn was delicious since we ordered a double butter ????
Horrible experience. Guy next to me was stoned high baked af. He was snoring, coughing, and even tried to lean on me. I went to complain with the manager he said there was nothing he could do because it was a people problem and not a sound , image or tech problem. Worst customer service ever.....
My go to cinema. It is spacious and has many movie options. Staff is kind. It is clean.
I had a great experience here one of the best movie Theater/ Arcades
Many options to watch. Although it is extremely difficult to find a spot to park, one can walk, bike, or use the metro to be the. With many things to do around, either before or after the movie.
Generally a great English-language cinema. Friendly staff, good layout and not too congested (but far, far busier than the Forum). You can catch all the big block busters here, with the odd lesser known film. They tend to play old movies each week on Monday nights.
Lack few movie but overall a good cinema.
Always love this Cinema... And to Mr. David D. here in the comment section.. when you go to see an English movie, its normal people are going to be serving you in English,,, occassional French movies are played there, but this is ofcourse an English cinema... If I go to an exclusively Francophone cinema I would expect to be served in French. Either way, I am a Francophone (1/2) and my spouse is 100% Francophone and we have NEVER had an issue being served in French. We go to the movies every week and have never had a single issue...
The best cinema in Montreal for blockbuster movies. As far as I know in IMAX auditorium they only have xenon digital system and the screen size is big enough. Even their non-imax auditoriums are better than others.
Been a few times now, and have no complaints. Nice chairs, tidy and clean.
It's a massive Cineplex theatre in the heart of downtown. Concessions are on the second floor with the theatres. You can access this place in via the underground city (which I think so be invaluable in the winter)
Scotiabank Theatre in downtown Montreal has been my favourite theatre since they opened. The image quality is always perfect, and the sound quality is the best of any theatre anywhere. I love the IMAX theatre there too. Perfect picture & sound, and comfy seating.
Very large and almost never runs out of seats for a movie ! Staff is always friendly and helpful. Seats and floors always clean.
They did not play the trailer after the movie not fair :) and they also made me bought tickets instead of using the cene points that I earn!!!!! Totally a scam :(
I always enjoy my visits to this movie theater and never had any issues. The only thing I had to say was fixed right away :)
Theater customer service number is *literally less useful* than having no customer service number at all. Had tickets via my girlfriend for Ford vs Ferrari. She wound up having to change plans, her name was listed as passholder. Tried calling customer service number for the theater to confirm whether we could transfer to me or if I could show up as-is, and Every. Single. Option. Was a robo message/option. GG Scotia.
Great movie selections. Clean and convenient. Full range of movie product options from IMAX on down
Vaccination verification is done upon entering, ticket checking was on the main floor and the concessions stand were operational in the main floor. Seating respected COVID-19 distancing protocol. You felt safe. The theater was well maintained and clean.
A great cinema in downtown Montreal, very clean, and once seated a lot of leg room, you don't even have to get up if someone is passing by.
So many amazing movies, great customer service, great snacks and comfy seats!
Always seems kinda empty. I've never been there and felt it to be very clean. But the location is convenient (sadly the prices are not).
my favorite place to see blockbuster hits. The sound is good and the seats confy. Easy to get there by subway taxi or uber
My go to movie theater in Downtown Montreal. They have all the best Cineplex has to offer with an IMAX and Ultra AVX theaters as well as D-BOX seating. Not that it matters so much, but they have very little arcades and seeing as it is downtown I would recommend showing up early to find parking. So don't expect to find much to do to pass the time if you are there too early. Overall a great theater!
Nice place, love the arcade and game machines, nice to play while wait for you movie to start
My favorite cinema, he only they had a VIP section they would deserve 6*
Great location, ambience, and service. Crowded almost always. A lot of screens. And the food court is good.
They should have numbered seats, it would improve the movie going experience.
Multiple screens. Good ambience all around. Nice screens.
I came here for the Tim Hortons that used to be inside the movie theater it's no longer there but I wish it said online
went to see antlers sick theatre kinda awkward staff overpriced to all hell but thats normal behaviour (4.50 for a bottle of water)
Saw Dune in Salle 13, IMAX. Comfortable reclining seats but it felt as though we were too close to others with no separation. Good vaccination and Id checks, plus masks, but some separation would have been appreciated ... Or do I have to buy 3 seats to get that?
Located downtown, with plenty of screening rooms, this is one of the better movie theaters around Montreal. They have a very large and conformable IMAX screening room. You have a few average arcade choices and multiple counters sell your typical irritatingly overpriced movie theater items. You also have some kind of fast food type counter and two Tim Hortons’. The rooms are clean and the price is the same as any theater of similar quality. I only wish people would have better movie going etiquette in general...
Staffs are very friendly and always tried their absolute best to help me whenever I had a ptoblem with the ticket
It took 50 minutes preparing our very limited order. I ordered tenderloin steak , and got serelion. wasn't good experience to me.
Went there 2x and it is a very complete place good food places service is great and choice shows also very good clean bathrooms seating comfetable
It's a bit expensive for what you get but it's really worth the extra money. The seats are amazing, the popcorn is usually good and there are rarely kids at the screenings. Although it does get a bit crowded, I have never had a problem finding 3 adjacent seats for my friends and me.
A large Cineplex brand theater which plays all the latest major distribution movies. IMAX screen available. I usually buy my tickets online ahead of time because the line up can be long on busy nights.
The staff is usually rude and will do their best not to serve you in French; so try to avoid contact as much as possible. The location is the main advantage of this movie theater. You'll almost only find blockbusters here, quite a narrow selection of movies. As in many places, there is a huge discount on Tuesdays, if you're willing to sacrifice confort.
One of my favourite places to spend the evening watching a movie. With an indoors Tim Hortons, you can watch a movie and sip on a warm coffee :)
Real IMAX theatre!
The theatre was clea and hygiene maintained. Staff were pleasant and helpful. But food selection was not that good. There was only nachos (which were not that fresh), popcorn (amount was great but definitely stale), soda (this was watered down and bitter for some reason). So yeah, cineplex please improve your snacks quality and variety.
Cool multi-level movie theatre. Exactly what you would expect. Expensive concessions. Lots of screens.
Far bwtter than I thought it would be.
Went during Covid times. It felt quite safe, and I didn't need to worry about people around me. They specifically made all seats available online with empty seats around you.
If you have scene card, use them and trust me you'll have a great experience. Good sound, great screen. If you can book DBox then it would be even better. But last time I went the seats we've booked were taken by someone and they refused to shift the seats. No help were received whatsoever. Very disappointed. Changing the rating to 1 from 5. Bad customer service.
Modern building with retro style entertainment. The theaters are always clean, spacious, confortable. Has the latest in 3D technologies. Never been disapointed, the queue line for popcorn is usually slow, but the stands are varied. Film variety is usually limited to the latest releases only. No indie or foreign movies here or very rarely.
Well located , friendly staff , and always a good selection of movies !
The AVX rooms are well worth the 3 extra dollars.
A super busy cinema in the heart of Montreal, exciting place to see all the latest films with 3D, IMAX and DBOX options. Would definitely suggest reserving seats online ahead of time. If you want to use your phone to show your tickets, make sure to select 'print tickets' and then save the PDF to your phone, it's the only way to avoid the lines now!
Great place on multiple levels. Always nice to go there with friends!
The one in downtown is the best I highly recommend
My favorite cinéma in Montreal. Comfy seats, clean cinema, great screen. Only gripe is going through the barriers when no one is there. You have to go in circles. A little silly.
The seats were dirty, but i enjoyed the rest (loved the Imax experience, DUNE was ????)
Good theaters except for the food price
Dont get me wrong I like this place. The Scotia Bank Theater is the go to downtown English cinema. However, the cinema is starting to look drab. I remember when the movie theater was new. It looked beautiful and you wanted to stay there. Its now washed out. Still good for movies, of course. It's just sad to see things age. It's a reminder we as people are aging too.
Convenient after an afternoon downtown. Good movie selection
Needs a good renovation but otherwise it's your typical cineplex with an arcade, expensive snacks and lots of movies. There's regular, 3D and D-Box rooms.
Lively downtown theater. Just problems with the university crowd saving seats for all the late people. I can relate as I did that one but never again. It's crowded, but good if you love crowds and big screens
Big screens!
I usually have a decent experience, but the auditorium was so stuffy, it was actually suffocating. No ventilation whatsoever. I wonder if the building is maintained properly. It ruined the experience.
Always a good experience here. The rooms are big and comfortable
Everything was great!
Deep reclining seats in a steep theatre (each row is on its own level) ensure you are never battling to see the screen past someone in front of you. Tim Hortons coffee shop located inside.
Love the place. Good seat, but some of them need replacement. All in all it is a good place to watch movies.
Cineplex Forum is better. Everytime I am going to Scotia, someone is talking during the movie. People are very impolite in downtown Montreal. Employers should use more authority.
WORST EXPERIENCE EVER. Because of the buzz about Shang-Chi the Legend of Ten Rings, we decided to reserve and paid for 4 IMAX tickets at 1pm. Upon our arrival, they asked us to have our QR code as proof of vaccination. My problem was that after completing the form on Quebec self-service portal, an error message appears saying that they can't get my data since the information I give might not match with the one in Quebec Vaccination Registry. On the page, it gave me a number in order to reach out to their staffs. I was put on hold for 30 minutes and ended up hang up cause I cant take it anymore. The first 2 staffs in Scotiabank I talked with, they told me if I can find a confirmation in writing, it should totally be fine. I thought that was it and about to leave. However, I ended up finding a screenshot of my proof of vaccination in my phone and showed it to a 3rd staff. This lady refused instantly to have a look at it and insisted that we MUST HAVE the QR code. I asked her if she could be a little lenient since I have tried everything I could have done to get that and even paid for 4 TICKETS but in vain. Apparently, she is the manager, so the other 2 staffs I had spoke to earlier don't want to chime in. I don't know if there was anything happened to her before during the day and she want to blow off some steam because if it was the way they operated, the other 2 staffs would have said the same thing in the first place. .............
A pretty standard multiplex with a focus on big-budget studio films. The place is pretty busy and the entry is generlly blocked by people smoking by the front door! The cinemas are decent, but better get there early to find a good seat because the place is always busy!
Went to see Dune. Comfortable seats, excellent sound and light! I saw some nice arcade games on the ground floor. Staff was very patient given covid restrictions.
Went to see Dune. Comfortable seats, excellent sound and light! I saw some nice arcade games on the ground floor. Staff was very patient given covid restrictions.
Great theater, convenient location!
Downtime, accessible from Montreal's underground shopping centers, close to metro, great restaurants and food court. Large cinema, plays only in English, many rooms. Great place
Can get a bit windy going up all of the escalators, some sure you arrive early, but had great time with friendly service
Simply one of the best Cineplex in-town. Anglo only. Movie selection is more adventure-action and comedies rather than drama and indy. Food options are your regular junk, but not in a bad way ;)
Good theatre with 12 regular sized screens (most of which can do 3D or AVX) plus 2 IMAX screens. The food stands are centrally located on the first floor. Bathrooms are big enough that even when there's a line, people cycle through quickly. There's a Tim Horton's inside the theatre and the prices there are the same as the franchise's external locations, so you can get affordable snacks.
Huge screen, though a little laggy sometimes, and great chairs. Overall a very classic moviegoing experience!
Great location easy to get tickets through the kiosk or through the line normally there for tickets very clean great movie selection close to Metro and Saint Catherine where the food court and shopping underneath
After a long time off, it's good to see movies on a big screen. Polite and efficient verification of vaccination prior to buying tickets or proceeding beyond the main entrance. Nice to be able to consume concessions. Overall a clean and we'll maintained cinema.
always have a good time at this theater. place is clean and nice.
It has the largest IMAX screen for commercial/blockbuster movies in Montreal (even in Quebec?). It's true that it can get very crowdy during the weekends, especially when there are hottest titles being released...but the location is just too convenient to ignore.
Still a nice place, but it's getting old like any other movie theater.
Good theatre. Underground entrance to metro, above a good food court. Decent shopping nearby as well.
I've gone dozens and dozens of times to this venue. It's a nice place if you're looking for a movie theater focused on English language blockbusters (there are other venues if you want art movies) If there is a massive release like Star Wars they stay open all night until way past midnight.
Love to go watch movies here. However, I think they need to renovate. The seats are mostly cracked. I was wearing a skirt and the seat ended up scratching my leg. In addition, I couldn't keep the seat straight. Ended up watching the movie almost lying down.
Bit loud at times when waiting for movies an they removed a lot of the seating recently from the main theatre floor so you have to awkwardly stand around before you get to go in, but decent food, decent washrooms, not too expensive for a movie theatre.
Lots of screens. One of the largest full IMAX projectors and screens. 70mm reel.Amazing AVX as well with great sound system. Best part it's in the center of downtown so easy access for students. It's also connected to the underground mall system so everything is very convenient when a storm strikes or you just want to chill inside during winters!
It's my favorite theatre of the city so far. With more than 1 floor and a variety of versions (D-Box, 3D, UltraAvx...), you can be sure the most famous movies will play there. The rooms are big, along with the large screens. The sound and image are good to me. It's a very clean place and comfortable to hang around. Ticket prices are a bit expensive, but it's worth the cost. There are two Tim Hortons at the place as well as few other food stands, so you can feel eat at the place. The fact that it's at a shopping place, makes the place even more interresting. It's near a metro too. There is always a worker around to help, just in case.
I feel like every time I come to this theatre, they don't have a lot of movie choices, or the showtime a are inconvenient. The theatre is in a great location, but there are so many floors to go up. It is inconvenient because on the two separate occasions that I went to this theatre, the escalators were broken.
Favourite theatre. Comfortable seats you can actually lean back in. Big screens, great sound. Idk what else you want from a theatre.
Hop in metro and 20 minutes there. Love the comfortable seats, better than other places. The fact that I can decide how much butter on my popcorn is fantastic . Staff is friendly. Great movie house!!
Freezing. I'm going to bring a temperature gauge next time. It was about 14C with the AC on and it was -16C outside. Why wouldn't you have it be a normal 20C, but especially when it's freezing cold?!?
I think the cinemas will close soon forever. The place is almost empty, the nachos are cold and old... really sad.
The recent movies are always showing here. D-Box experience is a must try. Just choose the movie worth to watch with the D-Box experience as it has a higher price than the others. The only downfall is the parking, but its located at the heart of Montreal, it's normal you'll find it hard to find a good parking spot.
Large cinema with many movie choices to see. Also, just steps away from Peel metro on stanley street
It's a good movie theater if you want to go and watch a movie.
Very clean when it comes to COVID-19 preventions
If you’re going to overprice your food, try giving out fresh popcorn instead of stale ones. Impolite staff too
The movie quality is fine. (Although there are too many 3d movies in my opinion, they really don't apoeal to me). Its just the snacking that is really way too pricy. Why would you even buy something there? I personally don't encourage their price hike.
HAS ALL THE MOVIES AND IS IN THE HEART OF MONTREAL SO EASY TO ACCESS BY METRO AND BUS. GOOD STAFF AND LOTS OF SHOPS AROUND IT
Easy access, good movie selection at different times, theatres are very clean but can't say as much for the escalators, (popcorn stuck at the top/bottom despite being a slow evening). Concession prices are way over the top though : 15$ for a coke and a small popcorn - seriously ?
Good seats and service as a professional can be.. the sound was perfect not hight now low...
Good cinema in downtown It is reopening!
Best theater/screens you can find in the downtown area, the Imax is far superior to that at the Forum theater. Highly recommended.
The seats are clean ans comfy. Typical food choices for a cinema. They do have a tim hortons at the second level. The Imax screen is great. The sound quality is amazing. It really changes the movie experience. They have arcades, however it is a bit pricey and the games seems a bit outdated.
great cinema! I love that the movies are in original audio and not dubbed. Large cinema nice IMAX. But on busy crowded days I don't get that magical movie experience. It's just frustrating long lines and too crowded on the busy days. Also lately it's been very very dirty. People don't clean up after themselves . Disgusting. And they don't seem to clean between shows. Trash everywhere.
Nice theaters! They only get the more popular films.
Protocols and courtoisie upon arrival, comfortable chairs recliners, impeccably clean, I have been many times, enjoyable, good movies.
Love this theater, located downtown. Excellent quality and nice people who serve our needs.
Located in downtown Montreal. Besides their regular 13 screens, this multi-theater has an IMAX screen, DBOX seats in certain rooms, 3D Screens, an Ultra AVX screen, and Party Room. For food, there's a Pizza Pizza, Yoyo's Yogurt cafe, Outtakes and a Tim Hortons.
Really awesome theatre. Has multiple levels and a few restaurants inside to choose from like tim hortons which is super nice.
Its the place i go to watch movies luv this place but im very uncomfortable with heights so when i take the escalators up or down im freaking out a bit... Lol
The theatre inside is super nice. It is very clean and I like how big the screen is. The whole room is well put together and everything works. However, the prices are a bit much. The tickets are super expensive as well as the food but it is also a more high end place.
I was looking to enjoy an IMAX film, When I went to have a look at what was playing, there was only one IMAX movie playing. This after seeing large signs advertising that it was an IMAX theater.I'm not convinced.
Best IMAX experience in my opinion. Definitely exciting to go downtown for a great movie experience.
Great atmosphere, love the preshow, I can literally watch the preshow and leave without watching the movie...lol
Very good experience we had fun!
Big cinema with 3 floors. Seats are comfortable and rooms are big as well. Also, have most of the trendy movies playing. The only thing would be to have more space for the legs. The distance between your seat and the row in front of you is pretty small.
I knew their new UltraAVX would be an insulting marketing move but was brought to see it anyway by friends. But even I couldn't have imagined the audacity of the outrage. For 17.50$, it was simply a normal showing room with a normal screen and normal projection that you get for 6.25$ on Tuesday. I imagined they simply took IMAX, rebranded it and charged more for a brand name but in no way it even compares with IMAX. They still got a lot to learn to match the cable/telecom industry but slowly getting there.
Went to see the new Bond movie. Chairs were wildly more uncomfortable than I remember. Food prices went up....not covid obsessed clean but as I'm over covid I just washed my hands. For the price it's time for some new seats.
Pretty decent movie theatre. Looks nice, comfy chairs. Easy to movie hop.
I love this theatre but I try to avoid it since it seems to be the norm that audience here talk during the movie, put their feet up on the front seat or kick you from behind.
This cinéma is for me one of the best in Montreal. The old building has a nice hall. The subdivision of the theater are a little bit too far away from the counter because it's expanding on 4 floors. Anotger great thing is the multiple food places that you can find. All the theater a really big and the chair are comfy for most of them. And you get a great choice of projection time throughout the day.
Great cinema place, but could you PLEASE create a policy where people are not allowed to talk non-stop, play with their phones, or laugh like crazy every minute. It's getting really bad lately..
My go to place for movies! They have a great selection in both English & French. The place is huge!
Good cinema in downtown, perfect for winter time, because you don't have to go outside (you can come by metro and keep yourself warm). Get the IMAX session.
Good space and nice loud movie
Tickets and food are expensive (as can be expected), but this cinema is very well located and easily accessible by the metro, which makes it very convenient.
The theatre is quite nice, they do a good job of keeping up with changes in cinema viewing with new chairs, Imax screens, good sound (not too loud usually), curved screens, lots of concession stands, 3D, etc. Seats offer a lot of leg room, are comfortable and recline. The biggest issue is that the price changes by type of movie and screen so you could pay a lot extra depending on what screen it is showing on and of course the food is really expensive. But the location is great and the base price is reasonable (and there isn't really any other theatre to see the big movies) so it is a good choice.
It's big and relatively clean. The screens and sound quality is great though. Viewing experience almost 100% overall.
I love going through this it's very well put together with plenty of of concession stance. The theatres themselves are quite comfortable so far receipts go, cool in the summer warm in the winter. Great place to snuggle up with your boo and watch a good flick. ????
Been going there for what seems like forever. And you know what? I still like it. Even if the upper floor popcorn stand is closed on Tuesday evenings. The cinema is well situated, making it easy to go after a bar run. Good stuff.
Have been there for several movies. Good theatre to go to. Imax is also located there.
Their IMAX is awesome! Video and sound quality is impeccable. And the best part is you can easily take the metro -- you don't even have to get tout of the building
Awesome cinema. Snacks are way too expensive though.
Best theatre in my opinion in Mtl. I mean if you want some peace go to Atwater forum or the one at cavendish, if you want to feel a little more like going to the movies and watching the crowd going this is one is the place. Always the first choice.
Best place to watch movies in Montreal. The IMAX here is really cool
Always a great experience watching a film here! ????
2018 update - They now sometimes show movies in non-3d after a few weeks so getting better! They really need to update their ticket purchasing system though. What's the point of buying tickets on mobile if I then have to stand in line at the theater to print my tickets. Just scan the phone! If someone comes in with a crappy phone or a broken screen and it can't be scanned, too bad for them. 2017 review - Used to be great but now all of their representations are in 3D, you have to go at 3-4pm to get the non 3D experience and in the majority of films the 3D sucks.
Went To see cruella, very good movie !
I gave 3 stars because, the prices are really high ($8 for a milkshake). Understaffed at the tickets counter. Always really long line, and just 1 person working. Average movie theatre. Parking is insanely hard to find at this location.
In comparison to other IMAX theatres here in Montreal this is the best one
Best cinema for blockbusters movies, very clean and friendly
Very Clean area, Fast ticket purchasing and fair pricing for the location and seating, seats can be slightly reclined. Long line as expected for food. Butter liquid is available as a popcorn topping.
Never had an issue here. They have all the latest films in the most available formats of any theatre on the island I've been to this far.
Went to see a film in IMAX and was shocked at the lack of social distancing in the theatre. People were supposed to be sitting two seats apart from eachother but many were breaking the rules and there were no staff members to enforce them. Despite the two-seats-apart rule it still felt crammed and people were rushing to get out of the theatre when the movie ended, walking over eachother to get to the exit as quickly as possible. I will not be going back to the theatre again.
Going tot he movie is special and this Cinema makes it feel as such. Always enjoy the show.
Love the reclinable seats. Great selection of food and the place is clean.
I normally love this place, but recently all the movies I have been watching there had terrible sound issues which make the experience very unenjoyable. I am 100% sure it comes from the speakers.
Great D Box!
The place looks and smels the same like 20 years a go, just a bit more dirty. Other than that the last movie watched had the sound volume so loud that I considered leaving every second scene. It wasn't enjoyable but this might have been just an issue in screening room 13.
This place never disappoints. They have they always movie I want to see. They have different viewing options (Dbox ect..) The rooms and the screens are HUGE! The staff are quick and professional. I never have to line up forever to get snacks and refreshments. They take my scene card with no issue. The chairs and floors are not sticky and the bathrooms are clean and don't smell like Hell. The worst that you will get are overflowing garbages at the end of a movie. Overall, this place is everything you need in a movie theater.
Had the best service ever at outtakes! Shout out to Nate doing an amazing job. Making my meal with so much love and being incredibly friendly! Outstanding service.
It's always nice to have a pulled pork poutine at the movies. I love playing the app trivia game if I get there early enough
The Scotia Bank Theater has a confusing and stupid name. It has an IMAX as well as one UltraAVX room. I recommend UltraAVX as, to my eye, it’s at least 80% of the size of IMAX with a better projector and better 3D (IMAX gets all distorted if you tilt you head even just 5 degrees). There are multiple, convenient concession stands but only the bottom one is always open so you can’t rely on the others which is a shame when you’re a regular goer, wait 15 minutes in line for your popcorn only to climb 3 stories and find a deserted counter with 3 smiling employees ready to serve you. Maybe some sort of sign with red/green lights on the first floor would help out here? Anyway, no Dolby ATMOS, some D-Box seats in some rooms but only the older projectors on smaller screens, no VIP room and only IMAX and UltraAVX offer reserved seating. It’s an alright theater but with clear problems. I only recommend whatever is playing in the UltraAVX room.
Good location, good health measures, offers a good selection of movies.
Great cinema in Montreal. I think they have the best IMAX quality in the city. It's in downtown so it's mostly packed during the weekends. Love going there.
Is nice to have a good place to go when you want to see a new movie.
My favorite cinema for big Hollywood movies since its so conviniently located and they have a large selection. You can combine the movie with a shopping spree or a night out. They have cheaper tickets on tuesdays but its always super crowded then so I'm not sure its really worth the 5$ discount. Food is super expensive inside like in all other cineplex cinemas so its better to eat before or after the movie...
I've been going there for quite some time. It's a really good movie theater. The prices are like many other movie theater. However, what's special about this one is the fact that there's a Tims Horton inside! You can watch a movie while enjoying your ice cap. It makes the movie experience a lot better!
My favorite cineplex - for various reasons (one being comfort!)
Great cinema, rarely any technical issues, tidy, staff helpful and plenty of food/drink choices. They are always showing the latest blockbusters and some others so usually something to see.
I really like the avx théâtres here. Its real close to a good number of bars and restaurants for when the movie is over.
You guys have to add AC to the theatre, it’s incredibly hot. Those chairs are definitely gonna need some cleaning to do
They have two human counters and more than 5 self serve counters to buy the tickets. The queue gets big depending on the time and the movie. Good quality theatre and clean place.
Nothing beats IMAX Dolby sound system needs an upgrade though.
Image quality is great and the cinema is always showing the latest Hollywood hits. Still offers non-3D versions of movies, which is a must to me. Could have a better selection in the non-blockbuster area, but definitely one of the bests if that's what you're looking for.
Once a flagship theater, it's age is showing. The general experience is "ok", but far from great. The whole cinema chain suffers from too many ads (not only do you get 5-10 mins of ads when the movie is supposed to start, but now there's an ad or two in the middle of the trailers), over priced concessions (nothing new, sadly), but also an obnoxious cellphone using audience who isn't taught to be better. And too many of their screens are devoted to 3d screenings. That said, it is conveniently located and screens most current major releases.
It's a big downtown cineplex experience, and that's what makes it great. They do have some indie film screenings and the Imax theather is IMO the best one in Montreal.
Nice big screens and good service. Enjoyed the experience and would recommend if you live in or visit Montreal.
Great location and good movies. Being located at the heart of Montreal downtown makes it easy to reach by walking or by riding the rental scooters which available everywhere at the downtown. Of course the best part is that located just next to best restaurants where always yummy food are waiting :)
The seats are a bit uncomfortable in those rooms that are still not renovated. If you go to imax they’re usually fine. But I’ve had seats that have the leather damaged and is scratches you. Not great. But it’s very well located and carry good movies. Plus, the bathrooms are always clean
Very good cinema. On Tuesday it's very cheap. The food is too expensive though but that's how they do business I guess
Definitely one of the best around! Large selection of movies, food and drinks, offering the best technologies available at reasonable prices.
Nice theatre! Have been there quite a lot
Staff switch ON the lights the exact second the film ended, about a milisecond before the credits rolled. She/He had a date at 10. Expensive yet delicious Popcorn. 3 Stars
Great cinema. Hidden with special features on every level. Special days bring special things... But let's talk about the seats: comfortable.
This place always has the best movies I just wish the seats were more comfortable.
What I like about this place is that they have a TIM HORTONS in the theater. I think it's a great deal. So you can het reasonable price drinks and snacks. Before the theater at Atwater you could bring Timmy into the theater as well, but now it's forbidden. Too bad. It's convenient location wise. Movie experience is the same as other Cineplex theater. Nothing special, nothing bad either.
I've never had issues with the establishment itself but hot damn some of the people working there really need to review the meaning of customer service.
People there are really nice
Its nice to see people still go watch movies like the old days. This place has game machines, B-Ball machines, combos are pricier. Chairs are comfortable
Been here multiple times. No bad experiences.
Comfortable, good size screens, two Imax theatres and carries the latest big budget and action films.
As usual, very expensive, but that is regular pricing for all theater. The seats are very comfy. You're not too close to your neighbor! The downside to my visit was the sound was to low (specifically to auditiorium 5, because i've been in other auditoriums before and there was no issue)
Great , but pricy and nothing above the expected
Was there to check the UltraAVX, or Ultra Audio Visual Experience provided by Cineplex's as the next level of cinema, not a big difference though. Wasnt so impressed .
Best place to go for a movie. Convenient location and not too crowded in the early evenings.
Always great service and good prices with the movie tickets. Love my scene card and they have a Tim Hortons upstairs so great for a coffee during your movie and it is the only decent priced food.
Comfortable seats. Good sounds
The English movie theater of downtown Montreal for when you need to catch a quick new release after work...:)
The best theatre to be if you are from some other country, as movies are available in English. Other theatres mostly have it in French with specific timings for English. Price in quite low and theatres are very nice and seats comfortable. Public WiFi available. Snacks available just outside the screens. Food court just in the base floor.
Just had the worst customer service ever at that place. After showing the person in charge the proof of vaccination, my brother was told he cannot come in without a valid QR code. My brother provided an official proof of vaccination by the Quebec Government in lieu of the QR code because he was told by the government that in some rare cases, the QR code doesn’t work for some reason and he can use this document as vaccination proof until their app glitch is fixed. The man in charge was very unreasonable, rude, intimidating and didn’t even want to listen to anything we were trying to politely communicate with him. He even threatened us to call the cops when we asked him about his last name because we were so frustrated that we were not allowed to say anything. He kept repeating that he was the manager and there is no one else to talk with at that place other than him. Even after we told him that we watched a movie recently at the exact same theater using the same vaccination proof, he would say it’s not true. He’s practically accusing us of lying. The man’s name tag had “ Bernard G.” on it. It was such a negative and terrible experience. I wouldn’t recommend anyone going to a place where they can unjustly be treated in such a rude and hostile manner. Such a shame indeed!
Decent theatre. It has location convenience going for it. And staff are nice, never had an issue with them. Seats are okay, standard Cineplex fare. The main issues are the movie selection and the general public. They usually only show blockbusters so the selection is a little bland, but that also means it attracts a more casual audience, which can affect any particular experience. Overall not terrible, but not that great either. Best for casual audiences.
One of my all time favs for movies, I love this cinema. There's better but this one is great as well, prices are a bit outrageous on food items, but what cinema isn't... Something they should really change though, anyway great experience every time, never rushy employees and great seats!
The place to go if you want to watch movies in any possible type of format. Plus their arcade section is pretty complete. It's one of the last cineplexes in Montreal with an actual DDR machine.
It was good the quality isnt bad but it is in a hard place to find in the downtown we got lost for and 1 and half to find the place
Great kiosk. Hassle free!! Good place to hangout with friends...food options were good
Generally clean. Good sized screens and I love the reserved seating options. "Cheapy Tuesdays" can get especially busy, however. So be aware. Food is extremely expensive as well. But that shouldn't be a surprise.
This place will always be Paramount Theatre to me. I'm very old school like that. Great theatre and sound system. Little pricey but what can I say. Go Matinee.
Convenient location, downtown Montreal. Which means it can be busy at times and some fellow customers may leave their mess behind them when leaving. Nothing too major so far but I would just keep an eye on the seats before sitting down, just in case. There can be line ups in the washrooms too at peak times. I keep coming back because of the location.
The metropolis' main movie theater playing the latest block busters. It has a lot of atriums and everything one could expect from a Cineplex. My only complaint is the narrowness of the common areas, including washrooms: they get easily crowded when all movies end at the same time (quite common).
The place could really use an update. Very dated. Very old seating.
Participated in the premier event of World Ends at Camp Z, pretty good!
Good selection of movies. Comfortable seats. Nice screens. But the huge perk of that cinema is: it's the only cinema in Montreal to have a true IMAX projection room (dual 70mm projectors).
Nice theatre.. IMAX is best..
Excellent to watch movies !!!
This is one of the finest theaters that Montreal has to offer! 13 screens on multiple levels containing every possible way to watch a movie from IMAX, Ultra AVX, D-Box & Real D 3D. Then there is the usual theater food of popcorn, drinks, nachos, hamburgers, Pizza Pizza, Yoyo yogurt, etc but they also have a Tim Hortons cafe. Very clean and super friendly staff always willing to help. Parking can be a little hard seeing it is downtown but the best bet is to get on the Metro and ride to Peel station. Walk through the underground mall and you come right up into the theater. Happy viewing!
One of the best theatres of Montreal - I have been going there for may years, so it was my destination to watch the latest James Bond movie in IMAX. Their IMAX is excellent for image and sound. The theatre is situated in the middle of downtown, so a visit here can be turned into an evening/night out. Street parking may not be always easily available, but I found an indoor parking next to it that charges $8 for parking after 4pm (cheaper than street parking if you park more than 2 hours). The concession stand has several usual options, but usually there is also Tim Hortons and New York fries.
Seats are comfy. Half of their machine have printer problem. Popcorn is displayed over the top full but when you purchase for some reason you get 2-3 inch under the top. They charge ticket and popcorn price more expensive than Guzzo and are less generous, hard to understand.
GREAT STAFF AMAZING SERVICE SUPER CLEAN TONS OF CINEMA HALLS MUNCHIES OPTIONS FOR DAY, GRETA PLACE TO WATCH A MOVIE!
Probably the best movie theatre in Montreal, but the movie selection is mainly only blockbusters. The IMAX screen is great though.
Smooth experience, huge place, helpful staff, quite clean. Not many moviegoers in July 2021 so social distancing was easy. And a very convenient 5 min walk from our stay at the Hotel Birks. Would definitely visit again.
Nice cinema. One of the few where you can see English original soundtrack movies downtown Montreal. It's clean and seats are confortable. The only downside are the toilets that are especially dirty.
Great spot, nice screens and comfortable seats. Carpets are about 15 years old, literally ????
Expensive............ And they never accept or reward membership offers 2 for 1
Best theatre in Montreal in my opinion! Their seats are always very comfortable, and overall, it's a nice establishment.
Nothing special about the place except that the seats are dumb and you have to be 6ft to not have to slouch.
This is a good theatre, pretty clean and a treat to go to. Theres always a huge lineup on Tuesdays so make sure to buy your tickets in advance!
Very good cinema. Confortable seats.
Best concession in any Montreal cinema. The Imax screen has been torn at the top right corner for a few years now. It about time they fixed it.
Best cinema in Montreal! Compared to other cineplex locations in Quebec, this is the best when it comes to theatre sizes, service, and dealing with very crowded Tuesdays. The management are doing a great job and they should keep it up.
Clean theatre, always a good place to see great movies. Seats are nice, comfy and reclinable. Popcorn is really good and fresh. Ask for extra butter, otherwise it's tastes of nothing. Prices are not so bad.
Happy the movies are opened with popcorn. Social distancing is great
One of my favourite movie theatres in Montreal. Lots of rooms and seating...
This is an amazing place to watch your favorite movie, they got the ultimate movie experience by having: UltraVX,Imax and Dbox(chairs that move) it is super full when new movies comme out so make sure to buy your tickets beforehand.
I came to see Star Wars in the IMAX theater and had a great experience. The seats are really comfortable. Buy your tickets online beforehand if you can, you'll avoid the lineups.
My favorite theater in town. Great location and a good selection of food even a Tim Hortons. Enjoy
Great Cinema, Many various options of modern Films. The costumer Services are top notch, Food and drinks are good and very easy to maneuver around the cinema area and get to the right room. Room are clean and well lit before the start of the movie, witch makes it easier to fine seats number. During the weekend, This particular Cinema is pack full, during the week not so much. I personally enjoy this place and would recommend for for visit.
There's a Scotiabank ABM on the 2nd floor. IMAX concession stand is rarely staffed, so better to buy downstairs or eat beforehand at the Carrefour Industrielle Alliance food court at the basement for more alternatives.
Nice cinema in the heart of downtown. Great place to see a movie!
The theatre inside is super nice. It is very clean and I like how big the screen is. The whole room is well put together and everything works. However, the prices are a bit much. The tickets are super expensive as well as the food but it is also a more high end place.
I realize they have to make up for the money they're losing from people downloading movies, but going to the theater sure has become a trust fund type of activity. Over $20 for a popcorn, a soda, and a *small* bag of M&MS (To say nothing of the ticket prices, but at least that's paying for some new viewing technologies). I highly recommend you plan ahead for the food ;) The only reason I gave an extra star is because the actual 3D technology is pretty impressive IMO.
Quick and simple, chairs weren't the new ones that I'm used to in america, but I enjoyed it
Excellent place to watch movies. The places seems well organized. However, there are some employee that seems to be "bored" at their job. Some of them don't greet customer porperly. No "Thank you", no " Hello"...no "Welcome".... I'd say 50% of their employee are ok. But their managers or supervisor are good. Very good. Each time I needed to talk to one, they always showed up and helped me properly. The theather itself is clean. Sometimes few spilled liquid here and there but it's fine. Feet get sticky but we survived. The only thing I " really" hate the most.. is the fact that they " open up the lights" at 100% full capacity right at the start of the generic... it's almost like a slap in the face after watching a great movie. I think every cineplex theater are like that. Before, they used to dim the lights instead of fully opening them. I really hate that because.. when you watch something really good...and your about to be blow away by the nostalgia of the entire movie... "boom"! You got the lights up straight up your face like a "smack". Really bad. Otherwise, everything else is fine. Oh, the bathroom don't seem to be clean most of the time...they should pass by more often cuz.. paper towel all over the floor...water over flooding ...discusting. Please do something about it. It's like driving a Mercedez with "plastic driver seats". Cheers.
Huge cinema, great selection for english movies. Staff is nice.
One of the king of theaters! I've been going to this place the last 10 years amazing. When they do the classic film fest. Super clean and always respectful staff.
One of the best theatres in town. I prefer ultra avx screenings over most other types. It's very rare that you'll have blown out audio or poor picture quality here.
Bought tickets online during COVID and went to see Free Guy. The theatre was clean and organized. The food was typical theatre prices but I understand from the group that they tasted OK. All in all a Good Experience.
The theater is nice and well located in the heart of montreal. If you want to do something but you don't have a car then go here
Seats are comfortable. Toilets are clean. Staff is mostly nice. They offer a big variety of movies.
My favourite theatre in Montreal to catch a movie. They also run cool events like the Digital Film Fest in the winter.
Just watched Dune in IMAX. No distancing in seating, unfortunately.
Nice theatre with reclining seats and a Tim Hortons located conveniently inside.
Nice theatre, good seats. Tickets were 7,5$ per adult.
The worst cinema! Service, food, staff.... Bathrooms are dirty, theatre is dirty, staff look dirty and not professional. How can this cinema even be open in a city like Montreal in a downtown area? Horrible experience! All over the world you are able to buy your tickets online with a assigned seat number but in Montreal you have to stand in line for an hour to insure you get a decent seat!
I never tried d box and Imax and here I did. What an experience! Wonderful
Pretty nice!
This is where I go for most of my movies. Good sized, comfy theatres. There are a few restaurants you can order from which is great, especially the Tim Hortons. They get all the first run movies, all the blockbusters. They are centrally located with quick access to two metro stations, Peel and McGill.
I just love the location spot (downtown), the space, the vibe every time I come here! It’s clean, comfy seats! Popcorn/food stands on each floor! Movie selection pretty much up to date. ????????????????????????
Nice big screens in the ultraAVX and IMAX rooms. But the best part is the Tim Hortons on the premises. Donuts and iced capp while I'm watching a movie? Yes please!!! The only down side is the trouble they seem to be having with the ticket pick-up system these days... You're better off printing it at home before getting there...
One of the largest cinema plexes downtown, comfortable semi reclining seating. Tuesdays movies are cheaper. Has an Imax cinema and AVX cinema.
Feels good to be back
Nice place. The only thing is the Tim hortons there almost get nothing.
Good movie theatre with great rooms, comfy seating, and a decent selection. Always too crowded and cramped.
Great theater. Lots to do while waiting for a movie, options for buying tickets online far ahead of screening, theaters are usually quite clean, has all the movies that you could ask for.
Comfy reclining seats, great variety of food and drinks options..Member of cineplex as well, so you can use your scene card there for discounts or free movies! Short walking distance from Eaton Shopping Center and many other restaurants and stores..
Nice place for movies. 3⭐️ cause I wish cineplex would fix broken seats. I when to watch Bad Boys for Life in IMAX to seat ???? I picked was broken. No big deal the theatre wasn’t full.
Simply love this place. Easy to get to by metro and huge. Love it.
For all of my Cinema VIP friends, please do not order the fish bowl cocktail. It is not strong at alll. You're basically paying for water down drinks and ice ???? Not worth the money! The white sangria had a bitter aftertaste The spicy chicken tender were all drenched with Mexican hot sauce ???? you couldn't even taste the juiciness of the chicken:( (again, not worth the money) Stick to cheeseburger, desserts, and soda ????Lol Beside that, the VIP movie experience with the food was great
Comfortable seats and a really nice theater, much better than Guzzo theaters
Just your standard city theatre to catch blockbusters....
Wonderful place to catch a movie. Great city veiw and always clean.
I go to this cinema a lot, it's downtown, and had late night plans at around 10pm which I find cool.
Great movie theater. Nice selection of movies, nice screen, comfortable seats. Only a couple of bad experiences with people talking over the many times over been there.
My favourite cinema in town! :) But they only have newest movies though. If you are looking for some older ones or other types of movies (not popular) you should go to the Cineplex Odeon forum (AMC forum), they have bigger range and sorts of movies.
Went to see an Imax presentation of Apollo 11 and it utterly failed at being better resolution than ANY of the displays I have at home or in my pocket. Shame on cinema-bank!
Went for UltraAVX for the first time, I'm not sure what I paid for, they seats aren't much more comfy than normal seats, they screen is about the same... Same with the sound... Doesn't worth the extra price at all. Their toilet decided not to work that day and the Tim Hortons in the second floor is so bad too...
Great cinema been coming for years and it's always clean and has super comfortable reclining chairs
Pop was flat. Exchanged for a new, but was still flat. Returned as this was unpalatable. When I spoke to the manager they stated it was due to new ice?! Popcorn was cold and mostly crumbs. And to top, they gave the wrong candy. Very poor food experience.
Crowded lines. Worried about COVID with how crowded it was. Had to wait through two lines to get up to buy ticket. Screen in theatre was dirty or had visible lines the whole movie and they left the door open so light bled in on the screen. No social distance even though room was mostly empty because everyone bought tickets for the best seats.
Love all the different options of viewing. Imax by far being the best!
IMAX Screen is great , u will get food of every type, seats are little conjusted , it's a great cinema overall.
Really good as all movies are shown in English. Comfortable seats and nice sounds. Really low prices (for European standards) and good choice of food.
Went to watch the movie but the screen had a huge disturbance and watched about 15 minutes with a red glow on the screen. Then movie restarted. The screen size was small too. Theatre is need of renovation.
It has some positive things, like the scene app and good movies to chose from but aside from that, it would be something good if they would start numbering the seats in the cinema do that everyone has its own and not to just go and pick whatever seat you manage to get.
Nice place Recently renovated Convenient location Paid indoor parking available
Overcrowded entry hall, English speaking staff not responsive to French speakers. The room was absolutely filthy and overall not a pleasant experience
My favourite cinema in Montreal. Usually very calm, and very spacious. Nice food availability as well. Bathrooms are very clean as well.
The Imax (one time on two it crashes). Beside that, it's big, and the seats are comfy. The air works well so it does not smell.
Great location, decently clean, friendly staff. I love that there's a Tim Horton's in this theater.
Great place to see movies lines where a bit long for food when you could open more cashes but movie experiance was good quality of audio was good and it was at the imax so really good screen quality as well seats where very comfy the bathroom smelled really bad i get there is alot of traffic but thats no excuse other then those few details was pretty good experience and would go again when i get the chance
Cineplex brought me back with their Scene Card so I've come a few times now on a Tuesday and generally find it comfortable with large, clean bathrooms. The cinema seats are great!!
Went with a friend to watch a movie, bought 2 tickets and they gave me on the scene card just the points for one ticket; I asked why, the person working there answered that's the way it works. If you buy separate tickets, they'll give you points for 2 tickets. So being honest at Cineplex doesn't work, I'm super disappointed. I learned my lesson! You are already charging so expensive for movies, prices keep going up, and this is another way to give less for the money we spent. Not good at all!! So my advice to people is don't buy the tickets all together, buy them one by one to get the scene points you deserve.
My favorite movie theater in Montreal. They also have a decent Resto!
If ever u want to go to see a movie on opening night, this is the place to go ! Saw Black Panther the night it opened and it’s one of my favourite outings !!!! Everyone is so excited and hyped up, it’s something u have to experience at least once.
It's a good place and they had the nice leather seats that the usually have in the ultra avx rooms last time i went, even though i watched the movie in regular. On Tuesdays it's a zoo downstairs tho and everything sells out fast. If you're going Tuesdays buy the tickets ahead online!
Husband got denied access because he didn't have his vaccine scan code which foreigners cannot get yet. He got both his vaccine doses in Quebec, we showed proof of vaccination plus his ID and they still turned us away. See the picture that I've attached that showed that the paper proof is valid to go anywhere we want. This is ridiculous!
Easily the best place downtown to see new movies on 3 floor. Confortable seating is good and I like timeplay before the movies begins to collect scene points.
Watched every MCU Movie here Since 2016, from 3D IMAX, ULTRA AVX, D-BOX, 2D IMAX, to 3D ULTRA AVX and every one of them had great experience to offer. I prefer 2D IMAX OR 2D ULTRA AVX. watch Fast and Furious kinda movies in D-Box, when you don't give a F about story but wanna feel the action. Many options for food, overall great entertainment place.
Great Movie Theatre...
My cinema of preference. The IMAX Theater is like going to the cinema for the first time. An incredible experience. The prices are normal for that kind of theater, but the food is somewhat expensive.
IMAX theatre is awesome. 70mm room is ok. AVX is decent if you get a chair that isn't broken. Staff suck but managers are fantastic at fixing mistakes.
A theater that plays mostly movies in English. I like this place because it's easily accessible using the subway. No need to find and pay for a parking. I like the presence of a Tim Horton inside the theater (after they verified your ticket) so you have an alternative to popcorn and soft drinks.
Nice and clean theater, the sofas are really comfi :D I like the way it is cleaned, but I am a bit upset of some visitors who just are dirty... Anyway, not their fault, they clean it well then :)
I like this place! Good number of theaters. Decent selection of films. Popular though. It's right downtown so expect Fridays and Saturdays to be packed!
One of my favourite movie theaters Easily accessible as it in the heart of the city, and there are plenty of restaurants around and underground (in the underground city). Also has some restaurants in the movie theater itself (but offers cinema pricing so everything is obviously expensive) Also offers IMAX, AVX and regular screenings I go there almost once a week and not planning to stop
Fun place to see new movie
Wow! Ok, it was IMAX 3D, but we even had pre-selected seats. Impressive...
It's a movie theater, pretty average. They do offer a wide range of foods to eat. I do recommend arriving early to be able to get food and find a good seat.
Went there to watch the new James Bond, the sound was extremely loud, made it really hard to enjoy the movie and left us all with a big headache the day after. Never had that issue in a movie theater before. Other than that it all checks out
I love this place. Even on saturday evenight you will surely have a place and they have Imax theatres. Be there in advance because you will have to park and maybe walk a bit. Easy access and a lot of fun.
Gorgeous place. Convenient location for me. Never had an issue with a dirty bathroom. Bought tickets for the wrong showing and they swapped them with no issues whatsoever.
Well maintained place. It’s my go-to cinema when I want to watch a new movie. I also like the butter dispensers so you can add butter to your popcorn by yourself.
Very good, it was my first time Dbox 3d experience and I really like it!
Excellent theatre. But $ 14.00 for a small popcorn and a water ? What's happening to the prices.
A beautiful Cineplex movie theatre right in the heart of downtown Montreal.
I liked more regular than UVA... but didn't experience heres' IMAX yet,
So we reserved our seats three days before the movie and when we arrived they were taken. In fact, the theater was full and there were other people having the same issue that we had. We were told it was "human error" and given tickets for another "time". To me, this is unacceptable as I am 100% sure our seats were taken by people that weren't even supposed to watch that movie, but since no one checks on that people don't even care. It's just useless to reserve a seat if they cannot guarantee you'll have it. Very disappointed.
Nice option of movies at downtown Montreal. They have many option of snacks to buy and bring to eat inside the cinema. Seats are very comfortable and accessible. The staffs were great !
This is my go to place for movies. They are always playing English versions, the Ultra AVX and Imax rooms are definitely worth the money however the Imax 3D glasses are reused and I tried 3 before I found a pair without scratches. They rent the 5th floor to church 21 on Sunday mornings from about 10-12 AM. I attend this church and I find the space is always VERY clean! I appreciate how much work they must put into cleaning late Saturday night.
Plenty of option (Imax, 3D, Dbox,...), lots of food choices. Very good theatre.
Large cinema with many movie choices to see. Also, just steps away from Peel metro on stanley street
Super cool movie theatre. The popcorn here is delicious and the staff is always friendly. I love the 3D experience that they offer and love how the seats are placed, so you can better watch your movie.
Great place to watch movies, you have Tim Horton's and pizza
Objectively good cinema but there IS such a thing as too loud.
It's located in a 6-store-building with 13 cinemas in the heart of downtown Montreal which makes it the most popular cinema downtown! And what is great is that they show all the blackbuster movies in its original language which is usually in ENGLISH, so it's a great place for everyone! For tourists (because tourists usually speak English instead of French), for the Anglo population or for the French population where they can go to practice English. Staff is very friendly but sometimes it can be a little hard for them to help everyone right away because there is usually thousands of clients needing help at the same time. Most of staff are high school/college students and it's probably their first jobs so please let's try to be a little nice to them as well... :)
Best theatre in montreal, but at a price. The tickets are pricier than any other theatre I have been, but for 1 or 2$ more, I get a clean environnement, great picture quality and most of all, a really comfy seat. The only negative is that in my opinion the popcorn is not as good as Guzzo's popcorn.
A little run down compared to other scotia bank cinemas but very well run and efficient. When we visited there as a lot of people!
Our favorite movie spot in the heart of downtown. Connected to the underground city. Rain, shine or snow, you can always come here for a night at the movies.
Nice movie theater, big rooms and decent prices.
Lots of movie choices and type of cinema rooms, great sound quality and we can reserve our seats in most of their showings. Smack in the middle of downtown, connected to eaton center you don't even need to pass outside, super close to the metro.
Beautiful theater Great location good food good movies!
One of the only place to see movies in english in Montreal. Decent amount of screens. They even got an IMAX. Don't go on Tuesdays though. Even if there's a discount. Since it's downtown, it's always jammed packed.
Sense of safety
I love going to this theatre. It's clean, the staff is courteous and their fast food is just as fine as going to another fast-food in the food court located in the lower level.
Festive cinema. We caught Spider-Man: No Way Home here. We bought tickets late and ended up in the 3rd row closest to the screen. Thought we were going to have an aching neck but turned out okay as the seats tilt back.
It's a good cinema generally, if you take into account the massive price of snacks and the mild disregard to the technical performance of their projectors and screens.
Great cinema! Maybe the best in Montreal. Don't forget to get your scene card to accumulate points and get free movie tickets.
IMAX was great and there are lots of food options inside for a movie theater.
Convenient and with ample options to eat inside the theater itself. Be prepared to spend extra on those options as they are not super cheap. I would recommend if you live nearby and can take the metro.
This is our go to theater when my friends want to catch a movie. The projections are great quality, audio is excellent, and seating is very comfortable. Cineplex also lets you purchase tickets online which makes getting into the theater a breeze.
This Cineplex is the best! It allowed me to gain a points in a big way on my timeplay account. Also 10 payed for movies and one for free with my scene card. Also the tiers make it easy to spend a ton of time at the movies. So many films to watch. Love it!
A good theater that carries the most popular, recently released films. The screens are good. Popcorn/treat prices are extortionate but what else is new. A word of warning though. I went to see Star Wars and sat down in the row behind the reserved seats. Turns out the reserved seats are "D-Box" seats which means they are mechanized. So I had to watch these bozos heads bob around and hear their chairs screech and vibrate every time there was any action in the film. I was so pissed that no one had told me about this when I was buying my ticket. The point is - you've got to be careful if your movie is in one of the rooms with these D-Box rows. Sit well back or well forward, out of sight and hearing. Two stars for almost ruining Star Wars.
Okay place... pretty empty for a Saturday. Small section of games. Loads of eating options though.
Seats are most comfy in all theatres that I have been in MTL recline and good leg space. All English movies and ok variety. Prices are not the cheapest out there but are alright.
Nice place to see films.
One of the main Go-To places to watch movies with friends.
The biggest theater in the city. Lots of food available inside.
Comfortable theater. A go to for bigger movie releases. The new ticket kiosks are terrible. Highly recommend you just use the app.
Hearing was fun while it lasted. Turn the volume down.
Great movie place, in English. The original version is always the better. Good foods and lot of rooms to play all the movies they have in their collection.
Centrally located theatre with regular theatre, ULTRA AVX, IMAX, D-BOX and REAL 3D as well as the regular experience. It's great when you can reserve your seats and arrive just on time, no waiting. Tim Hortons is available inside the theatre as well as some other chains.
Great movie theatre! The IMAX cinemas are great! Everyone has a great temperature in it! The seats are comfortable too with slight reclining movement! Consider buying your tickets online before to avoid the wait!
The room ventilation wasn't turned on until towards the end of the movie. People were sweating which you can smell and it was hard to breathe as there was no draft and extremely humid. The ventilation only came on towards the end of the movie but even at that, it was too little, too late. It was an uncomfortable experience.
Great cinema in the heart of montreal. I would say above average cleanliness. They show all popular movies but what i particularly like is that they often show older movies. I recently saw the entire LOTR trilogy in Imax for example which was awesome. Nice place!
Overall much better sound quality over other cinemas. Really makes the experience that much better. Comfortable seats with enough leg room too!
Great service. They helped us out with the kids and were over all helpful. Went the extra mile.
It's a cozy enough cinema which I particularly like due to have a reasonably priced Tim Hortons INSIDE the theatre. Tends to be overbooked for premiers, so arrive early or get reserved seating.
Nice place to watch a movie and enjoying popcorn after pandemic
Only place with a 72 mm IMAX screen in Montreal. The rest of the screens are not bad too, but this the only place where you can get true IMAX experience. Parking is not easy but on the flip it has direct access from the metro.
Had good movie experiences so far
A downtown cinema. Clean and convenient. Popcorn is popped.
Awesome place to watch movies
Real big IMAX screen. Conveniently connected to the underground city. Theaters are clean. They always check if everything is ok shortly after the movie starts. Lots of machines to get your tickets.
Definitely my favorite cinema. The seats are comfortable and the sound is just... wow! Impressive. It is possible to rent rooms for business meetings.
On Tuesday I watched Toy story 4 which was a great movie. The 3D glass or projection was a little bit below my expectations. I am not sure if it was about the cinema or the movie. Great screen and it was crowded. It would be better if you can reserve your seat at the booking.
Jean-Paul truly understands what it means to be a manager. Once in awhile I get really sick, really quickly in theaters, JP wanted to make sure I had a quick and timely refund. I felt obliged to explain my condition that causes motion sickness, and he politely interrupted me saying my satisfaction is what matters, sick or not. My friend had paid for my ticket, so he took my buddy's information and invited him to come see him after the film (my friend stayed to finish the movie). His demeanor with me, his staff, and his customers demonstrate a consummate professional. Cineplex obviously chose wisely to put their key personnel in a beautiful facility.
I liked this cinema, it has several films and and a variety of options to eat.
Good selection of movies and showtimes. Parking can be a bit tough sometimes, so we usually park at PMV down the street. They have a good selection of food items and snacks, our favorite feature is the Tim Hortons! The ticket prices tend to be fair, but a bit pricier than other Cineplex theatres.
Great place in the heart of downtown. Always has a great selection of Movies , Food , Drinks & even some Arcade Games.
The place is very nice, screen is good and big, seat's are not comfortable and leg room is not good enough.
Great place but they don't update the movies as fast as American cinemas
Great place but they don't update the movies as fast as American cinemas
Screen and sound are awesome the experience was really great But the seats aren't up to the mark
Nice place. Kind of a labyrinth to get to the main hall, but further than that is good on quality screen projections and sound.
Lots of movies choices, from the newest releases to some older classics and they also have viewing of live events. They have a few options of rooms available, and there is also an Imax screen. As expected, you'll find the usual popcorn stands + coffee shop and they even have a fastfood joint inside the theatre. You can also stay and play some arcade games or foosball or pool. Just next to the metro station peel and right in the middle of downtown Montreal. Lots of stores just next to the theatre and lost of pubs, bars and restaurants as well to spend a beautiful evening.
Enjoy a lot
Very good cinema. In comparison to other older cinemas that we've visited in the last few months we found that the screening rooms are modern, clean and well kept. The screen is large and quite clear and the sound is good also. They had a good selection of the newest releases and had convienient viewing times in the mid afternoon (great after going out for lunch). Many cinemas seem to only have either early afternoon or late afternoon times (1 pm or 4 pm) which isn't always convenient. The prices are definitely higher than other places though, but in this situation you get what you pay for.
The greatest cinema I've ever been to in my life!! There's a Tim Hortons and frozen yogurt store!! They did everything perfectly! Nothing to say more
The greatest cinema I've ever been to in my life!! There's a Tim Hortons and frozen yogurt store!! They did everything perfectly! Nothing to say more
Lots of leg room. Clean.
I simply love this theatre. It is large and beautiful and a great selection of movies. Sadly the food snacks on all floors are not always open but the main movie floor has excellent quick service.
One of the best movie theater in Montreal, but only for new release movies and only on English. I mostly go here to watch big box offices movies. They also offers IMAX, DBOX, AVX. Very little arcade
Great place to watch movies
It's a standard North American movie theater, on Tuesdays there are some great deals.
Top of the line cinema experience: IMAX 3D is unbeatable. My number one venue for the past decade.
Realized I didn't have my phone just as the movie started. Looked for it in and out of the Audi, at all the floors but couldn't find it! Went back to the salle and still watched the movie (coz it was Incredibles 2!). After the movie ended, I informed one of the staff members and got the phone back in 4 minutes. Point of the story: I'm careless and they're good! Go-to place for movies coz it's in downtown and it's good enough. Oh and better than most IMAXes I've been to!
My cinema of choice in Montreal. If a movie comes out I first check if it's available at this theater. The imax screen is a sight to behold! Staff is friendly and most of the arcade games seem to work. But I go there for convenience, nice and clean theater rooms.
It was good
This is the only place I watch movies in Montreal and I go there repeatedly because of its high quality. The people who work there are very sweet and help you out with a smile.
on march 24th 2018. Nic G. helped me with an issue i had with a gift card. He really was a pleasure to deal with. He was professional and very friendly . Nic resolved my problem but i would still be writing this review even if he had not . This review is about the customer service i received . Thanks again Nic G.
You can find all the big mainstream films here and it's located right in the heart of downtown Montreal. Easy to get to with public transportation, just take the green line to Peel Station.
Nice movie theater, I just wish they had less adds before the movie begins. Sometimes I wonder if I paid for the movie or the adds.
It's just a shame they couldn't serve food because of the government mandate.
Bring back the pool table and ill put 5 stars
Good place to see movie in English! We always buy our ticket online. They always have the promo items like big cup of the movie we going to see! Which for a geek is fantastic!!
Booked online, was refused entry as a foreigner, requesting a qr code, even though I showed them my full proof of vaccination(which was from the quebec government) and I.D. Last I checked as a visitor to quebec that is more than satisfactory as proof. Ruined my date with my wife.
Seats aren't that comfortable. Sound quality was ok. Overall, an average experience.
Good quality movie theater, with the newest and most popular films. You can have a different choice of food instead of the traditional movie snacks, they count with fast food and Tim Hortons inside of the complex.
Sat in the theater for over 20 minutes watching commercial after commercial after commercial after commercial after commercial and I could keep going. I am still sitting here waiting for the movie to start and still more commercials. The movie was supposed to start over 20 minutes ago and I almost forgot what movie I was here to watch. If the movie doesn't start soon I will have to leave and ask for a refund. Wow !
Big screens, numerous films presented, place is clean. English and french service. Automatic ticket booth. What I like most is that you have direct access through the tunnels (underground city), it's very convenient during winter. Overall my place to watch movies. Also, the seats are (imo) big enough, I don't feel crammed. The only negative in a way is that most of the time it gets rather chill because of the AC (even during winter), but you get used to the temps eventually.
Awrsome place. The foos is good and the nachos are just great. Seats sre a bit peculiar at firsr but you get accustomed to it. 10/10 will go again.
The place was crowded but there was a lot of staff , everything is well organized. Clean seating and toilets. It's a nice cinema.
bought tickets online and didn't get them neither in the inbox, nor in spam. support line is way too long to respond. It's like they don't want to make money after many months of closures.
One of the best Cinema in Montreal. You can be just yourself to hop on to the theatre ???? and enjoy the latest movies available. All the best and keep it up!
Went to go see eternals and theater 11 is an icebox. There's no heating in there. Went to see halloween kills three weeks prior and the same theater 11 was cold, not as bad because the temperature outside hadn't dropped yet, but clearly theres been an issue for several weeks at least. We complained to the manager Marcelo s, and not only was he rude and unhelpful, he also lied and tried to claim it had just happened and there was no problem. Then told us to leave. Honestly he should fired if this is his idea of customer service.
core downtown. very accessible, good movies but pricey. don't have matinee price, not consistent with their movie hours. sometimes confusing.
Right in downtown . good sound and the pleasure of the big screen.
Big place to comfortable enjoy some top selling movies. A nice variety of snack from different companies. Friendly staff to help.
Pros : Movies offered in English Seats are very comfortable. The way the theater is built is quit impressive. Cons : Last time staff at food court was very slow Only one cashier was open on a saturday night. Went to see the movie spectre. Image on screen was blurred at times. Either the movie was poorly filmed or the theater equipement is getting old. I suspect the equipement because at times in the movie the sound effects required bass and you could hear shaking as you would in a car equiped with a subwoofer and bad isolation. In other words the windows shaking sound. Nice cineplex in general, just avoid room 10 if you can.
Clean nice theater. Easily accessible by metro
Like the place so clean love to go see movies I go there twice a week
I love this movie theatre! It is conveniently located near Peel metro You can access it by walking through the underground tunnel in Cours Mont Royal or walk down to Ste Catherine on Peel I don’t give it 5 stars simply because it doesn’t show all the movies other theatres have for some reason Except cheapy Tuesday’s, it isn’t usually too full here Of course, if it’s a brand new movie, then expect more people Come early and play the TimePlay games to earn Scene points for free movies
good place for English movies in Montreal. great location and easy access.
Not a big movie spread, but it makes sense with only 13 screens. Great space management, and health/hygiene measures are top-tier.
Love this cinema! Always clean and the staff are nice!
Good cinema, they usually keep all off the blockbusters here and more independent films typically go to the Cineplex Forum Theatre. The IMAX is really nice as well as the AVX. Food is expensive, as with all theatres but there is a pretty good variety. I go frequently and have almost never had a bad experience.
Been my go-to cinema for years. Popcorn is usually always fresh, good service and the bathrooms are for the most part clean.
Just had the worst customer service ever at the Cineplex Scotia bank Theater located on 977 Saint Catherine Street West, Montreal, Quebec. After showing the person in charge the proof of vaccination, I was told I cannot come in without a valid QR code. I was provided an official proof of vaccination by the Quebec Government in lieu of the QR code because I was told by the government that in some rare cases, the QR code doesn’t work and I can use this document as vaccination proof until their app glitch is fixed. The man in charge was very unreasonable, rude, intimidating and didn’t even want to listen to anything I was trying to politely communicate with him. He even threatened me to call the cops when we asked him about his last name to file A complaint because I was so frustrated that we were not allowed to say anything. He kept repeating that he was the manager and there is no one else to talk with at that place other than him. Even after I told him that I watched a movie recently at the exact same theater using the same vaccination proof, he would say it’s not true. He’s practically accusing me of lying. The man’s name tag had “ Bernard G.” on it. It was such a negative and terrible experience. I wouldn’t recommend anyone going to a place where they can unjustly be treated in such a rude and hostile manner.
Good cinema! I’ve watched a lot of movies here
Pricy on regular days and always crowded on Tuesdays. Super busy on release date but what do you expect it's one of the more popular movie theater in Downtown MTL. Great selection of movies and have all your need for English movies in all the 3d format available and your rumbling seats needs. Washrooms starts to be deprecated and from an other era.
first time here to watch a imax 3D movie Thor....the good point you can choose your seat when you get there and online I believe . They had some kind of activity ti save on stuff using their app. The bad points if your not aware of these seat assignments when you get there as in my case you are sol. So you can't change seat because of that annoying person or group next to you. The first row up on top are not high enough in my option. The seats are to close to each other and uncomfortable . the price of the popcorn and pop is a little bit more expensive for what you order.I don't plan on going back to this theater... when spending about 2 hours in a chair comfort and enjoyment is very important
I went to see a movie on Imax and the sound was so loud that it was painful. My husband told me the same thing.. It wasn't my first time there but it's the first time that my experience was so bad!
I went to the cinema. There terminals weren't working. I told the guy. He didn't say anything. Very rude. Terrible customer service. Don't go there. Watch movies on Netflix.
Very spacious, nice comfortable seats, great sound and visuals
Movie was great itself (Free Guy) but man that was wayyy too loud, we crossed the 120dBa level, give it's just gave me tinnitus for a good 30min after the movie. Why do you have to put it so loud?! People were also using there phone right in front of us. I would avoid this movie theater if you have sensitive ears!
Clean and easy to visit
My husband and I went to see a movie last week at this theatre. We used two coupons to purchase the tickets. To my husband's surprise, he received an e-mail stating that his Scene account had been charged as if he had redeemed 3000 points to watch another movie during the same time period, which he obviously did not. My husband went to see a manager who asked him to contact Scene as there might be a problem with his card. Just contacted Scene where an obnoxious customer representative preferred to lecture him instead of restoring my husband's account. This movie theatre either has a glitch with their system or for whatever reason, Scene card numbers end up in dubious hands.
Great location. Connected to The Underground City. Well equipped. Tim Hortons inside besides the usual pop corn and soda. With IMAX and Ultra AVX.
The IMAX is really nice but the social distancing is questionable, everyone is super close to each other.
Very nice cinema, lots of movie to choose from there also is an imax section
I've been here since I was 16 years old and I haven't had any problems , however last time I was here the air conditioning in room 11 was broken. We were not offered any type of compensation for wasting our time . It's disapointing considering one of the employees said it was a reoccurring problem :(
I love this cinema with new and modern salons with different types of seating like vip or dbox plus the great sound system , overall my favourite cinema in Montreal ????????
Advertises as a Timeplay theatre but the last 4 times I've been the screens are kept dark during the pre-show. All the more annoying, since the sound still plays throughout. When you go to tell the staff, they answer that the movie's not started yet...
Only English Theatre in Montreal and they have D-Box Seats which are moveable like 4-D seats. Get Reserve Seats if you can. It's worth it. Saw Aquaman in D-BOX and it was totally worth the money.
Nice and clean, but very limited choice of movies. They will show the same blockbuster in 4-5 rooms.
Decent teather, bit expensive
Very cool multi level Cineplex with a wide selection of current movies playing. Popcorn can be purchased at concessions on the upper levels which are usually not as busy as the concessions on the lower level. Nice and central and easy to walk to when staying central Montreal.
Comfortable and spacious seating with friendly staff.
One of the better cinemas in Montreal, but man, 15$ for a movie, that's terrible. Only recommend going to the cinéma for a movie you'd really like to see.
Wainting 20 min outside in the queue, as only 1 person was there to check the covid pass
Ok cinema. I found it not that clean though . People tend to be louder than other places too but still one of the best in the area
Very solid cinema, the main place I go to for movies. They have wifi, a good selection of movies (mostly mainstream stuff), and the service is quick and efficient every time. Food is overpriced, but it's a movie theater; it's expected. Would reccomend.
Decent theatre, but watched Dune in Imax on the opening night. Projection was blurry, and doors were kept open for 20min into the movie, with light reflecting off the screen. Staff should've been aware and correct the issue, but they didn't seem to care.
Very big theater with multiple floors. The arcade is small but it has a great selection of kinda old games that go from dance dance to Terminator. The seats are pretty comfy but sometimes when it's a really busy day some seats are dirty so you have to watch out for that if you dont wanna sit on a stain. Overall the staff is pretty friendly and doesn't get confused if you ask for an English showing in french.
Friendly and clean -1 star for the price of popcorn ???? lol
Nice and big movie theater. But be prepared for it to be crowded, obviously because its in the middle of downtown. I was also disapointed by the seats , they are not very comfortable.
COVID REVIEW : Place is dark and empty but they are taking social distancing very seriously so you'll be lucky to have more than 10 people in the theater with you. Go there for classics at reduced price or for new features on IMAX. It's worth it. I feel safer there than small theaters with smaller screening rooms...
The seats are so uncomfortable! They tilt, So you're head is always forward and really annoying Barely have room for my body frame.
I had a Great experience watching Captain Marvel. Thank you Scotiabank
The thing I love most about this place is their seats, which are amazing even for a regular movie.
Great experience, all protocols respected.
Good because of their 70mm Imax screen. The only one in Montreal that show movies. Downside is they only show blockbusters, no foreign and artsy movies or event.
I was expecting more. Still, huge screen and deafening sound. As you would expect at IMAX. Good 3D glasses. Very effective overall.
Nice theatres, comfy seats, always clean, but can be a bit expensive
Amazing cinema. 3D, IMAX, AVX. All the blockbusters here, but also international non-Hollywood movies. Worth the price.
Very bad service I ask for 3D movie they give me normal movie then they made the changes but the movie was a ready Start is that a joke because I am not laughing poor quality service and people should pay attention when people are speaking I would give -1 ???? if I could
It's lively and best part is you can grab a ice cap unlike at Atwater cinema. Lots of screen and time options. Lots of options for snacks.
Les ve this theater! Best one in Montreal!
Great movie theatre. Lots of food choices around including two Tim Hortons. One on street level and one in the theater itself. Very convenient for those of you who like myself have a coffee addiction. The seats are comfy, the screens are modern and the movies are fresh. Everything you can really ask for. :)
Dirty, uncomfortable seats, very limited snacks on top level. Nachos and cheese have been changed, really gross now, major decline in quality.
This is one of my favourite movie theatres in Montréal! Old building so you get that old style movie theatre vide.
Kicked out by Gobei worst employee I’ve ever spoken to. Very unprofessional and rude. Will not be seeing me again.
Great Place for Movies Lastest Ultra film or Screen tech here anyways
Great place to chill and enjoy a wonderful time watching movies in a comfortable environment!
Good place. Third floor no popcorn place so you had to go all the back down to get your goodies.
Awh. Toy Story 4 haha ... Memmmmories
So freaking huge... Stacked. Crazy. Pretty cool though. Wish they had some more real food options but that's not typical for any theatre
Super nice cinema. Staff is amazing
Good sounds system and good experience but man it was hot in that theater room
Best cinema in Montreal. Must go to be able to experience the full Montreal experience. Very pretty outside and inside. You must try the imax 3D movies. They also have a great selection of food once inside. Like Tim Horton, pizza, fries etc
Very nice movie theater. It's a shame they stopped offering variety in the movies they play giving all of the time slots to the same movie making it hard to watch new movies that came out
One of the best cinema in Montreal ????
Akways the best movie selection in this large downtown location...
My go-to for movies! I come here all the time, and the staff are nice.
Good place. Both English and French movies. Wish they had parking though.
Excellent experience
Most movie theaters are starting to look a bit run down around Montreal, this one's still decent.
I remember a time when it was the best thing to do for a really affordable price. Nowadays, its too expensive (used to be less than 10 dollars), its too loud and if you have some sort of a smart TV, just wait a couple of months and you'll be as happy as can be.
Comfy seats, a wide variety of food and good movies to choose from.
Best part is you don't have to leave the metro in winters and it is located pretty much inside metro peel
Very Clean cinema but the food is slightly overpriced though. Overall good experience will come back.
Best cinema in montreal. Has many Imax and ultra avx rooms
Great cinema screens and sound. Enjoyed the movie. Concession not as good as other Cineplex theaters but still acceptable.
Nice experience. The place is easily accessible. The quality of screen is good in Imax however I found that resolution is not that great. Some food options is also available. The place has Tim horton inside
Just a tip though, if you go for D-Box, dont drink or popcorn during movies as you will most likely want go to bathroom especially for ladies because of the shaking. Wich is an minus for the experience(And harder if it have an end credit scene to seat through)
I came from New York to visit Canada, and a friend of mine referred me to this theater, I had the QR code but my girl friend did not have it, but she had the proof of her complete vaccination, but the two security guard did not want to let us in, I have tried to talk to them to see what they can do, but they were laughing not paying attention at all. I will not recommend any of friends to come to this theater no more,, they were really arrogant.Terrible customer service.
Decent theatre for cinemas. I went there for the superbowl. Seating and audio are comfortable. The food is tasty and affordable.
The best movie theater in the city, bar none. Been coming here for years; the staff is extremely friendly and the management caters to all guests no matter what. Be sure to come here to see all the latest blockbusters
The people complaining about being turned away likely didn't have the correct vaccine proof. My boyfriend is from the UK and was vaccinated there, and he was let in without issue upon showing he was fully vaxxed. Seats weren't that comfortable so I'll give 4 stars, but overall it was a good experience at this theatre.
Nicely keep theatre and not too many people. Lots of choice seats
As a regulier movie goer. I go once or twice a week. I love it. Friendly staff, great ambiance. There are different variety of food. There's a food court in the same building if your not into buy food at the cinema.. there's also a mini arcade area if u wanna game a little while waiting or sit at any of the waiting area and chat. Dont forget to come early to play time play ^_^
No social distancing between the seats within the theatre on Oct 31,2021 at I max Dune 7 pm. It was stuffed with humid worm two elbows left and right that are not mine keep giving the precious touch lol so much for safe practices lol..not going back until this has changed..lol
Excellent theatre. Very popular so make sure to arrive on time as there is no assigned seating. Booking online is almost pointless as you need to have the card you paid with otherwise you have to go to the front desk in order to pickup your ticket which takes just as long as buying one when you arrive.
Fun place. Access to many things. There food drink coffee ect
amazing location, fair prices, the app is also extremely user friend however if you buy your food in advance (with the ticket) be aware that they will charge you 1$ more on sight if you want to add butter on your popcorn as its not included on the food electronic purchase
Spiderman no way home was excellent
Multilevel movie theater in a prestigious location. Good infrastructure.
Nice cinema. Lots theatres so they have wide selection of movies. Majority of films are in English
Cold and windy when I was there. But I went to watch a movie and the theatres are great! Love the place, nice and comfy seats. The popcorn is amazing. I suggest to get a large one, the previews can be long sometimes! Download also the Time play game and win Scene points
Another good theater in Montreal, this one with a more mainstream connection compared to the forum. This theater must see a surprising amount of people (as its in the heart of Montreal) The various kiosks for food are efficient in their service and even when the theater is packed I feel like I have enough space. Would recommend this theater to anyone with access to a metro.
The best cinema in the city, very big, never gets too crowded, the theatres are spacious and clean and there are quite a few of them, the seats are very comfortable
Great cinéma, great staff, premiere bien cracker thankyou virgin mobile
Great cinema. Large screens. Modern amenities. Better food options than other movie theatres like Tim Horton’s with reasonable prices.
One of the best movie theaters in Montreal. The rooms are big, clean and the seats are comfy. Popcorn was very good too!
The screens are great! As are the cinema halls and seats. Automatic incline and great leg room. Some of the seats are a bit chaffed though. Very clean and social distancing in place. You choose your seats when you book online. Staff are present and courteous. Well located downtown.
The least comfortable seats of any theater I've been in: they recline too far back, so you can't put your feet on the floor (I'm 6') and you have to balance. If you have the choice between this theater and any other, go elsewhere. Pity, as the room sizes, sound system, and so on are all fine. But the seats aren't fixable.
Best place to experience IMAX in Montreal. The only cinematic experience worth paying for is IMAX!
The cinema is very nice and the sound is very good, however the seats are ok and the prices are pretty high.
Comfortable seating, many food options, good selection of movies. Usually very crowded on fri and sat nights.
They really need to get rid of those front rows that are practically under the screen. It’s impossible to watch the movie and you get a neck injury as a bonus. If you are on the side of the front rows you get a nice abstract warped fish eye mess to enjoy though
Good place to watch movie and enjoy
Very long line to buy the ticket. Poor guy was alone! Cinema is not bad, not great, i think a few renovations could help too. The movie didnt have any ads, which is great..
Good quality cinema with good screens and nice seats. Cheap tuesdays are the days to go to watch a movie at a good price.
Real IMAX screen size and wide UltraAvx screen. Sound and Image quality is good.
I like this movie theater a lot, though the food pricing is way too high. Once in a while, when I want to watch a blockbuster film, I'll go to this location because it's downtown and the screens are big. If you can, eat before or after the film lol
Awesome! Because I went to see Good Boys with Billy and Dad
I'd say this is the best cinema in Montreal. It has it's share of problems but it is a heck of a lot better than other cinemas in Montreal (the only other one that can compete is the Forum Cinema). It's big and the movie selection tends to be great. The staff is kind and there is a lot of places where you can buy something to eat.
Nice movie theater. Good location too.
This movie theatre is at the centre of downtown so there will always be crowds. They have comfortable seats that lean back. A mini-arcade area. More pricey than guzzo.
Could be better with a subway or healthier food inside. Staff are great.
Cool cinema built where the Montreal Canadians ( hockey team ) use to play! Has a lot of Independent movies.
Good I really enjoy watch movie the chair was fun and cosy with cup of tim coffee everything was perfect
Clean, spacious and in a prime location. Great for access and lots of activities for pre/post movies.
Best cinema in Montreal by far. Clean, excellent sound and picture (even the standard theaters) and comfortable seats. IMAX is definity worth the few extra bucks, though!
I love their place it's well organized you don't get lost to find your theater also you can cuddle with your partner, the drink/arm support can be lifted up ! Revolutionary
