I like this place, I drive here from Courtenay because the rialto is the most uncomfortable piece of garbage I've ever been too. Those seats will make your ass bleed.

Excellent experience except.. maybe install cameras for outside as this area is known for crime. I had my vehicle broke into and my drivers license, Birth certificate and SIN got stolen!! No money stolen just my identity!!

Even though the theatre was in its original decor overall it was a good experience. We have a Landmark Cinema in my hometown that just underwent am amazing transformation with reclining cathedral seating, better concession experience with self serve drinks and pre-book seating options. I think Landmark should give this outdated theatre a new facelift!!!!

Theater is okay , I will say though the chairs arent all the comfortable especially for bigger people perhaps it be something in the near future they will need to look into changing but other then that place is awesome

Nice clean theatre in a nice small town. Went to see sonic during the daytime. Might be because it was a matinee and a children's film but the volume could have been a bit louder.

Very friendly. I use the Atom App to purchase my tickets and snacks. It allows us to skip the line ups. Very helpful staff. Clean and comfortable.

Cute little cinema, reasonable prices and screen sizes. Not too many people in one auditorium, just about the right kind of capacity for comfortable viewing. Only salted popcorn (with margerine as an option) available though, no sweet or toffee popcorn. Also not always the quickest at having the latest movies on show, nor the widest selection available, but it isn't a big cinema so this is to be expected. Other than that, a great place to watch a movie!

Nice small theater, seats are okay but wouldn't mind some better ones. After a long movie it can be pretty rough. Not recommended to go on a night that's likely to be packed, as you sit real close to everyone around you.

5/5 I went to the movies opening yesterday and I did have some issues with the seating with other people not following social distancing rules. I Recieved a call back from Tanya, who was amazing to deal with. She was amazing in handlinngbg the situation and listening to my concerns and feedback going forward. Everything else was amazing, great response from the management as well.

the prices are a bit over priced in my opinion and i also don't see why we can bring are own candy and drinks in I feel as if that's just a way for them to make you buy the overly price candy that in reality is probably less then a Doller this i why most people wait for the movies to come out in DV then going to the theater i mean not all people can afford candy and pop from the theater i mean you probably make alot already by selling tickets and popcorn but fine see it your way but this is just my opinion but alot feel the same way i do about the prices so whatever

Theyre doing an excellent job keeping the public safe while still allowing us to enjoy the movies. The refills for large popcorn and drinks are back and i feel safe there. The prices for concession are just as jacked as always but i find its worth it for the overall experience

Good movie selections and friendly staff, but the seats are very uncomfortable and the seating angle is small making you feel like your blocking those behind you (I am 5'9 in height for reference).

It gets 4-stars because I live in Courtenay and have to deal with the Rialto. Because of that, if this theatre showed movies from DVD and had comfortable chairs, it would still get at least 3-stars. The front end staff is quick as they can be and friendly and the seating in the theatre is nice. My only beef is with the ticket booth. They only open one booth regularly, and if an extremely popular film is showing and I want to see the third most popular movie that night, I better show up 2 hours early for my ticket or else I'll be trapped in a line that wraps around the building.

We were quite disappointed to find that this movie theater has not been renovated yet, especially the seating. The seats are very uncomfortable, both adults and all of the children in our family were in pain throughout the entirety of the movie and following. We will not be returning to this theater until it has been updated. I know they are bouncing back from the pandemic just like everyone else. How sad that a giant like Landmark continues to charge outrageous prices to see a movie and have snacks in any one of their theaters, but they can't upgrade all of them??

Chairs in this theatre have yet to be upgraded to the comfy recliners. Otherwise an overly clean and pleasant movie going experience.

I like this theatre, but mostly because it's the only option in town. Generally things are in good shape here and the staff are pretty nice. The only complaint I have is that in some theatres... It's so flippin' loud. Like cinema 1 is the loudest I think. I just wish there could be a solution that goes beyond me plugging my ears when an action scene is exploding all over the screen.

For a theatre that is NOT in Nanaimo this is the place to go! We drive from Courtenay to this theatre to watch movies when we don't want to make the trip to Nanaimo. You could visit the Rialto in Courtenay but this is a FAR better theatre by far. Clean as a whistle, friendly staff and several theatres inside. The prices are just as inflated as any theatre but you get a level of service that is much higher than Courtenay.

Really liked it for it being the only theater in town for the last while, the best part is the theater supports atom. I was able to skip all the lines to get in and all the concession ones as well. Highly recommended if you're going opening night, otherwise you don't need it, as it can be a leisurely place once it dies down.

The staff is great, the selection is pretty good considering how there is only 6 theaters. Also their bathrooms are extremely well kept. Better than I've seen any other theater. Only point loss is for the equipment used and screen size considering I'm used to the IMAX and AVX in Langley but that's nothing the theater can really do about unless they completely renovate lol. But yeah one of my favorite theaters. And unlike the one in Courtney which apparently has the most uncomfortable seats of all time, the seats here are quite nice ????

Its a good theatre for a small town. Aging a little but clean. The prices are typical for any theater. 3D shows are limited. Definitely not a large cinaplex experience that you would get in a larger city.

Not so much a 5 for the screens and the film quality (there were a couple of dead pixels and some focusing issues), but I loved the service. Super friendly staff made my daughter's first visit to a Canadian cinema a real treat!

The only film theatre in town. 5 screens but movies tend to rotate quickly so if a movie is there that you want to see, don't put off. The seating is nothing special but overall the building is in good repair. Bathrooms are kept clean which I appreciate. Staff is friendly. Wheelchair accessible.

We go to this Cinema here and there. The popcorn is very good. Over the years we take in a lot of movies. So we know what we like for popcorn. Seats are the old style. It would be nice if they change them to the larger reclining seats that some theaters are switching to. Maybe some day.

Theater is all in all pretty good. Friendly staff, fresh popcorn, good selection of movies with 5 theaters. However, I find the chairs so incredibly uncomfortable. Sitting through a whole movie is torture for me. If the seats were to be upgraded, I'd be going all the time. It's really the only thing holding me back.
