Good theatre with decent screen sizes, comfortable assigned seating and "new style" concession stands. I'm personally not a big fan of the concession stand format, but this is otherwise a pretty good Galaxy theatre. Good mall location in Cambridge with free parking and easy 401 and hwy 24 access

It has been years since I've been to a theater, so take this as it is. I didn't like that you had to select the seats. Quite a few people seemed confused by this and it was easy to read the row and seat numbers in the theater. The system they have set up for food purchase is terrible. There are no signs explaining what to do and the staff seemed uninterested in helping anyone. The seats in the theater were big and comfy. They also reclined which was great for watching the movie.

You can buy beer here now and believe it or not the wine in a can is actually good. Seats are all upgraded to leather recliner style with lots of leg room. Amazing.

Bathrooms are at the opposite end of the theatre from the screens; you have to help yourself to prepared bags of popcorn, so there's no way to get butter half way down; there's a wide aisle down the middle of the theatre I was in where there could have been about another 18 seats in the middle of the theatre. Seems pretty ridiculous for looking recently renovated.

LOVE the new recliners. But the missing 3 stars are for the fact that I spent almost $50 for my fiancé and I just to get one popcorn, 2 pops and our tickets. The no combo thing is pretty dumb and the freestyle pop isn’t very convenient when all the flavors were empty when we were getting our drinks. And I agree with previous comments that say product is getting stale. Who knows how long the popcorns been in there for. Especially since we went to a night show. I don’t care if it used to be “outdated”, I prefer the old way.

I would like to give full stars but I cannot. LOVE the new seats, however, no more combos? That's a turn off, I'm much less incline to buy food and drinks now, cause individually they're way too expensive, combos made it seem like a better deal. Especially hate that the 1000pts combo is gone too. Hot dogs and nachos separated? Hell no. No more popcorn for me.

Seats are great staff is okay but no popcorn, food or drinks allowed but I still need proof of vaccination, masks are mandatory and make 3D glasses a living hell, would have been nice to know this ahead of time but no information is avalible on the site. Please keep people informed of your current policies

It had been yes since I went to the show and I was pleasantly surprised at what I experienced. The seating is so comfortable and the rock and lean back. Talk about being comfy Definitely will be going back

Movie theater. They have really comfortable large leather seats with reclining backs and extending footrests. The self-serve concessions were weird but it works (may be a problem for old people to understand, but they have enough staff to help). I upped this from a 4-star to 5-star because they provided a free movie coupon after the film's video cut out for about 5 minutes. They also restarted the film so we didn't miss any of it.

I think I have been spoiled by the Cineplexes and Scotiabank theatres but this theatre was quite small. The incline is very gradual so if you're a short person, you might have some trouble. The sound is also below par. Movies here are not unwatchable but I'd definitely make the trip to another theatre if possible.

The updates seats are absolutely incredible. The whole new self serve concession situation is completely ridiculous in my opinion and the popcorn is sub par. Drinks are not refillable, even for the largest sizes. Not to mention it's difficult to calculate just how much you are spending on concessions when there is no longer combo pricing - or in some cases any pricing at all. So, depending if you value comfort over popcorn or vice versa - this theater may or may not be for you.

I don't like the newly updated concession area. It's self serve, and they don't even offer the popcorn combos you'd get at other Cineplex locations. They offer very basic combos, and that's it. I think they would do a whole lot better if they went back to the old concession stand they use to have.

Had our movie totally ruined by random people wandering halfway through, making loud noises, talking and generally being idiots! We spoke to the one staff member we could find, zero compensation offered. There were several of us complaining. The staff member told us we should have confronted the group of 4 youths. Yeah... No way.

It was definitely a different experience than the last time I went. Still employees were attentive,informative.and polite. The theatre was comfortable with the Donald Trump first class seats.. reclining too. Didn't know if I was out watching a movie ..or taking a lazyboy for a test sleep!. Still a cool experience. Enjoyed the sound.full and rich ... 60 bucks for two tickets in 3d Two drinks, 1 nacho tray and a pretend bag of M&M's.....is that expensive? Or am I getting old....hahaha just reflecting back on the memories of the time my granny stood in front of me and said ,she went to the movies with pop corn and a drink for 25 cents. All in all ....going to the movies was fun. Can't wait to take in another flick soon.????

They have recently renovated and looks to still be a work in progress. Hopefully the washrooms are next. The new chairs in the theatre are very comfortable recliners. The new self serve concession is different as you choose the items you want and proceed to a cashier. The prices should be more visible for customers.

I rarely write negative reviews, but this is warranted. Today my cousins and I met at the Cambridge Galaxy Cinemas to get our combined 6 children together for Paddington. Unfortunately the 3rd family was late and, with it being the only children’s movie playing, tickets were sold out. Fine, that isn’t anyone’s fault but ours for not buying our tickets ahead of time. So, down to two families and three kids, we headed into theatre 8 about ten minutes before the movies was set to begin (2:40pm). When we go in we realized there wasn’t an empty seat in the house. We asked the employee who had taken our tickets to help us find seats. Please note he was already in the theatre helping another family find seats themselves. We soon realized we weren’t getting any seats. Okay, both frustrating and disappointing for the kids, but things happen. Unfortunately the way the situation was handled was ridiculous. First he said he would give us complimentary passes, but nothing else. When I requested our tickets be refunded, he wasn’t happy, but did it anyways. When I asked if we would have our concessions returned he said yes, but then he would have to take them away. That’s right, he was going to take the popcorn and drinks that our kids were already eating AWAY in order for us to get our money back. After a disappointing conversation, he returned the food as well and gave us two complimentary passes - one for each family. I drove from Hamilton and the other family drove from Woodstock. With three very disappointed children I probably don’t need to say that we will not be returning to this theatre and we advise against visiting it yourself

We were able to book ahead of time with the seat numbers and what a wonderful and comfortable recliner seats they were. So comfy that my wife fell sleep right away and couldn't see the movie! May need to complain to the management for a refund ????????????

Fantastic place to take a child during their Saturday matinee time. Have enjoyed many movies here with our special ones. Treated well by staff and enjoy the most comfortable seating. Nice being able to reserve our seats as well. #celebrity_bucks

A truly terrible movie going experience. They recently redesigned their lobby and it is the most disorganized mess you can imagine. Everything is "self serve" and it is absolute chaos. Spilt popcorn everywhere, no one knows where to line up, the cash registers are islands surrounded by people looking for a place to go...a mind boggling design that makes you angry and frustrated before and after your movie. I will be driving to Kitchener for my movies from now on.

Been watching movies here since it opened. I enjoy the new recliners. I don't watch IMAX because they don't have an IMAX theater. I have to drive a minimum 45 minutes for that luxury.

I got there with my Family and was using cash to buy the tickets, so they are doing construction and instead of having a dedicated line for tickets, you have to wait in the concession line which takes forever. It became late for the movie so we had to leave. Bad management

Great movie theater! Love the new upgrades that they have added. The new seats are the electric recliners.... so much better. There is lots of room between seats even with the recliners back. They are super roomy and comfy. The candy and popcorn area is great too. You just grab everything you need and pay instead of having to wait for someone to grab it for you. Will definately be going back to this one again!

Their open, grab first, popcorn and drink area is confusing and leaves me feeling like staff, while questioning the freshness of my popcorn. Otherwise, they finally upgraded their seats to bring nice comfortable lounge in every cinema.

I loved the new seats and the roomy theaters ( no more people kicking my seat). To be honest the new concession area sucks! Not very well thought out. If. You grab your popcorn first it makes out difficult to get your drink and vice versa. They have these stupid little trays but thier bulky, nothing really fits tight in them (so you have to be careful) and there isn't a lot if places to set them down. Very little signage and 85% people had no clue what to do. Ciniplex....this is a horrible idea and I hope you don't do it anywhere else. I normally don't write reviews that's how strongly I felt about this.

I wanted popcorn and to layer the butter I was told management would not let them do that anymore. He said that he can give us small bags and we can put the popcorn in there with butter then put it back in the bag. That is unbelievable. Stated to watch the previews and the commercial suggests to layer the butter on popcorn. So what is up with that not very happy at all.

This cinema is my favourite because it has very comfortable recliner seats and it has many great restaurants nearby so that if you decide to grab a bite after the movie you have plenty of options to choose from. The staff is very friendly as well. Overall it’s a decent cinema hall.

The seating is awesome. But very much dislike the concession. Our popcorn was stale thank goodness it wasn't busy for the fact that I could see how buying food could be very chaotic. Call me old fashioned but I liked going to the counter and having someone give me fresh popcorn and get my drink. Also the prices have not gone down considering I now have to do this myself with my 3 kids. I know that this alone will make me go to other theaters.

Best theatre around. Recliners, self serve so no huge lines. I live around the corner from Galaxy Brantford and never even consider going there, the short drive up 24 is way worth it

Just a 'skeleton' crew running the theatre heading into Hallowe'en week - only saw 2! But service was 1st rate, theatre was clean, seating socially distanced, sparse audience... and comfortable hi-tech screening. No reason whatever to feel a covid concern.

Seats are great, comfy and ensures no one is in your way. Went to see Matrix Resurrections, which was very dark and sometimes hard to see what was happening. After movie ended, went home and watched video with clips from the movie in 4k, bright and vibrant and visually stunning, so I'd guess the projector wasn't set correctly at the cinema, oh well catch it again on streaming anyway.

The food and drinks are quite too expensive especially the freal drinks. They're suppose to cost $3 and $3.39 with tax but y'all charge us $6 for ONE. I can get 2 feral drinks with that price in other places!

Unfortunately this theatre has gone from ok to just bad. I haven’t been there in a little while since we have been using the competition a little bit down the road in Kitchener. But decided to try the new reclining seats. Wish I didn’t. Was stuck in cinema 7 where the top left of the screen is fuzzy. Which made watching very frustrating. A very big dark grey line through the screen as well. Would have been better off watching it at home. Not to mention the renovations caused the snack bar to not have fountain drinks so an over priced bottle drink had to be purchased. Save the aggravation other nicer alternatives out there.

The full recliners are awesome, with a large, large space infront of you. Popcorn and pop will always be expensive in the movie house but in this cineplex location, the seats are the best. Makes the drive from kitchener worth it.

We went to see aquaman whoch was a great movie but the prices are crazy expensive and we saw the movie in 3D. It was so hard to make out the movie in 3D i wouldnt suggest going to a showing of aquaman in 3D. The theatre was also really freaking cold. I couldnt feel my feet by the end of the movie.

They have really done wonders with this theatre since I was coming here as a little kid. Seating here is amazing. What I mean is the actual seats are luxury and comfortable with tons of room to stretch. I like the way they have changed the lobby. You grab your own food and drinks and pay for what you grabbed. Overall a great experience and I will be coming more often.

I know the new seating in the theatre is great, but with the popcorn sitting in the windows to be picked up and buttered yourself, it ends up being completely stale and for those that love layered butter (like I do!) it’s no longer an option. Each time I have gone to this theatre the popcorn is stale from sitting out, and half the reason I go to the movies is for the popcorn. So I continue to travel out of the way to Kitchener. If you like popcorn with your movie, I’d go somewhere else.

My experience was not a good one. I went to see Incredibles2 with my daughter and her friend. I started at the ticket Kiosk outside the theatre itself. I purchased 2 kids combos and a ticket for myself. I assumed the concession offerings would be on the next page of the purchasing system, as that is how it used to be. Nope. So I completed my transaction using 3000 Scene points for the kids combos and using a gift card for the price of my adult ticket. We went inside and there were no signs anywhere that were noticeable to me. I wanted a combo popcorn and drink. The popcorn was in self-serve windows. I could tell which ones were the kids combos, but had no idea what size of popcorn to get to make a combo. I pulled out a medium bag and hoped for the best. Next we went to the butter station. There were 2 machines. I had successfully used their machines in the past, but could not get either one of them to work. The first one did not work at all, the second one, dispensed butter after such a long delay that we assumed it wasn’t working either and walked away. Then we got in line to pay for the concessions. The line moved very slowly as everyone seemed as confused as I was, not knowing what to choose or how to buy it. When I was finally served, I inquired about the combos/prices...I was told that they no longer had any combos. So I asked for a cup and paid. It was $33.00 for my ticket for an afternoon movie, a medium popcorn, and a medium drink. That is highway robbery!! (I will only buy movie tickets at Costco from now on...I can get 2 adult tickets, a giant popcorn, and 2 drinks for $33 there)... So, I had popcorn without the buttery topping, and 3 cups. We headed for the drink machines. I use the same type of machine successfully at many establishments...not here! I wanted the girls to have some sort of non-carbonated, non-sugar free drink...they chose flavoured lemonade. The machine was completely wonky and kept going to new screens when I would push what we wanted. Eventually, it started pouring the cup of strawberry lemonade and then stopped. The icon for the lemonade had turned black and you couldn’t choose it anymore. We went to machine 2 and the lemonade button was black there too. Went to the third machine and had the same result (likely all 3 machines are tapped from the same large canister)...ended up giving the kids flavoured Sprite. Got to our lovely recliners and watched the movie. It was a wonderful movie and we all enjoyed it very much. I give the movie and the reclining seat 5 stars...but the movie theatre 0 stars. I found the entire process of getting into the movie stressful and irritating. I am so glad the memory we left with was of a great movie!

the movie Midway was really great, but theater management needs improvement! Nancy and I had a gift certificate that gave us two movie passes, 2 soft drinks, and 1 popcorn, and as we didn't want the soft drinks, and just wanted the popcorn they wanted to charge us 50 cents more for the popcorn! Nancy actually had to find people behind her that were willing to use our free soft drinks so that we didn't have to pay more for the popcorn!( REALLY STUPID!!)

Not always clean or quick, but they've never given me awful tasting food nor have they interrupted a screening. The arcade is pretty bad too. The highlight of my times here would have to be the dippin dots machine.

I went here last week,. Man have things changed in just the last three years since I saw Mount Everest. New seats like you have at home. Prices through the roof. And a nice fancy way of getting into the show now. They've done away with having someone give you a ticket. Now you use your debit, or credit card and go through the touch screen. Again, as I have said about everything a fancy expensive way of doing something that used to be simple. You have to pick your own seat as well when on the computer. Guess the days of sitting where you want to sit are gone, unless you get there a day early and book them or maybe you can do it at home on the internet like everything else. Being my age, give me the old days anyway. The price of going to the movies has gone through the roof and yet people will still go. It's a nice night out, but not cheap. Bring your own snacks if you want to pass on the popcorn.

The seats are pretty comfy (although reclining all the way back hurts the neck when trying to watch the movie) and new, a lot better than the bigger cineplexes like mississauga or north york, the auditorium, however, wasn't dimmed all the way and it was pretty hot inside of the theatre itself. Other than that, a very average Cineplex experience. Watched the Suicide Squad (2021) here and thoroughly enjoyed it.

The Good: Nice seats and the staff are friendly. The Bad: Equipment is in bad need of maintenance... Cinema 6 did not have visuals during the pre-show. (It hasn't worked in the past 4 months.) Then when the feature started, they could not move the side curtains so part of the movie image was projected on the curtains. In other screens, for non-3D presentations, they do not remove the 3D filter so that the image is very dark. Within 15 minutes of the movie starting, I was able to get a free pass due to be presentation being unwatchable but they would not refund the concession items that I would have to repurchase on my (unlikely) next visit. It appears that Cineplex just doesn't care about projection quality. There are better cinema choices in the area.

Very nice theatre! Very simple and clean design. Once you go inside, it looks like just a little theatre but there’s a long hall of different cinemas so they can and do play a lot of movies. The staff are quite friendly. The reclining seats in the theatre itself are very comfortable and recline a good distance. There’s lots of room between rows to stretch out your legs and not hit the chairs in front of you. You can order tickets inside or, just outside the theatre, there are automatic machines. This theatre, while big, and a focal point, is tucked away so it’s not intrusive to the rest of the mall. Very nice place!

The theaters are good. The snack set up however, is crazy. People crowding created by self serve snack situated along one side and near cash out area. Very limited hot food choices and extra butter smelled and tasted so bad I threw out the entire bag. Happy with Manager who without hesitation changed our movie ticket to time we were there from the next day I mistakenly bought.

Love that this particular cinema shows independent films. We recently wanted to see the film, The Road to the Lemon Grove and there were only a few venues for it in a 30-50km radius. Thankfully, this theatre was one of them and we're only 18-20mins away. Also loved the roomy aisles and reclining seats! The service was also incredibly friendly, both on the way in, and when leaving the theatre. Will definitely be back!

Galaxy is an okay cinema. It is not the biggest theatre and it is in a dying mall, but it still is an okay place to go. They usually have deals for tickets to get in so it isn't too bad cost wise. Of course they will screw you on concessions though.

I recently visited Galaxy Cinemas with my daughter. We saw Hotel Transylvania 3, good kids movie. The lobby and concession renovations are complete. But it is chaos. Everything is self serve, no more combo options. You open up a warming area and select the size of popcorn that you would like. Then proceed along the wall for other premade foods. Go wait in a very slow moving line to select any candies and pay for your items. Drinks are paid for at this time where you are given a cup to fill at the automated dispenser. This whole process took no less then 20 min before continuing on into the theatre. It was not busy at this time in my opinion compared to other days/times. If you wish to see a movie and want to enjoy the over priced theatre conviences. Make sure you go in plenty of time and check your patience as there is no system in place for concession purchases.

Under construction: no topping for popcorn, crappy small bottle drink (not even size of a medium fountain drink) all for same HUGE price at the miniature concession stand: what a freakin' rip off! They really should be giving some kind of a discount for the smaller sizes and PITA (pain in the a$$) levels of service...and there's no warnings posted on the online site when you buy your tickets in advance, so you're basically screwed once you show up and see the mess!! Advice: definitely sneak in your own drinks /snacks, or you end up thirsty ... or just stay away!!!

The Cambridge location recently finished renovations. Looks like a change in how Cineplex will be handling concessions due to the increase in minimum wage. The process is simple. You may grab your choice of size popcorn and then place any drink, food, or movie purchase at the cashier. The seats here have been upgraded to the same seats they use in VIP. There's no refill on popcorn nor drinks but this is their policy and it applies to all locations as far as I am aware.

The recliner seats are amazing. Makes going out to movies more enjoyable. I do like the re design of the theater in the front lobby. Feels cleaner. I wish there was a slightly better or more arcade games, there is just too little there to justify even having them in the first place. I also wish concession prices weren't so expensive, but I understand why they are.

Went tonight to see 730 showing of The Grinch. We bought our popcorn and then had to wait in a long line to have our tickets ripped. This ridiculous process was being done by 2 staff members (one of whom was the manager) in 1 location! When we finally got to the front I mentioned it would be a much better idea if they each had a line of customers in order to speed up the line which was now winding back to the theatre entry doors. The manager's response? "Yep yep. You're in theatre 9 down the hall." Dismissed just like that. I will not be returning to Cambridge Galaxy and neither should anyone else who wants to be treated with courtesy and respect.

I went to Galaxy and i got the popcorn and the system was very confuseing and then we had to wait in lobby because they had to clean the therate so dont come so early and be ready to use the self sevre popcorn but the seats are so good they got them the there stars.

The new Galaxy cinemas is absolutely wonderful. They have put a huge effort into redesigning a cinema filled with modern technology; such as the beverage machines, ticket vendors etc, but have maintained a fantastic movie experience. The new implementation of picking where you sit, and reserving the seats is incredible. Your ticket tells you exactly where to sit, so there can be no confusion. It's absolutely fantastic to see that there is still effort being placed to cinemas. Me and my younger brothers still go to see many movies a year and always appreciate something new each time we go.

The staff could not have been more pleasant, even though this is their last day of operation because of the provincial restrictions. They gave us freshly popped popcorn rather than a big that had been sitting. They gave us extra butter to add to our popcorn once the bag was half empty. They even offered to carry our food and drinks into the theatre for us if we wished. I couldn't have been more impressed. If I have to say anything negative it's that I don't care for the popcorn as much as I do for the popcorn at Landmark. But that is just a minor thing. All in all I was very pleased! Highly recommend.

The renovations don't have anywhere for an elderly to sit before going into the theatre. An older person cannot get up into the very uncomfortable high chairs that are in the concession area. Also, the price for food and drink is astronomical. $8.50 for a medium pop?!?. I enjoy going to the movies but will never buy food or drink and if I'm with my parents I will make sure we come with only 10 minutes to wait.

Small theatre rooms with reserved seating, reclining seats. Love this place! Found it by accident wanted to see Deadpool 2 and this was one of the few theatres in the area that was showing it. Now it's our favourite theatre.

Seating is the only good thing about this theater. Food and snack bar needs work. Stale popcorn prepackaged. Don't expect a large drink, there large in comparison to everywhere else is only a medium. Compliment them on the wheelchair seating though ????

Went in today as they have recently fully finished their renovations and was greeted by Ken who made the experience amazing. On top of this the new seats are amazing and the new layout for concessions is very convenient. Cant stress enough though as to how much being greeted by an extremely friendly and happy worker can make a night 10 times better. Had an amazing experience.

All of the staff are super nice, i constantly fall asleep on the super comfy leather chairs, management is great. The cleaners do a great job getting the theaters cleaned from the previous shows and everybody on the concession stands and the people in the back do great jobs to get through the lines as quick and efficient as possible, along with making all the food and staying calm when it gets super stressful. Keep it up everyone!

Comfortable Lazy Boy seats in the theater. Movies don't sound overly loud - just right!???? Bathrooms are not right off of the theater unfortunately. You have to walk back through the scanning ticket station, and have to walk close to the movie theater entrance to get to the bathrooms. Has a few games to play while waiting ie. throwing a basketball into a hoop, etc. Theater sells toys related to the movies that are playing. Today when we went to see pattington bear 2, we had a group of 10, they sold half our group tickets and the other half they were sold out. Then we couldn't get our money back so half of us went to go to the movies but there was no seats left and this is 10 minutes before it started. The manager told us it was too much work to look at people's tickets, so we had 3 very disappointed children. Then the manager only wanted to give us our movie ticket money back, not the food purchases even though we bought the food to go with our movie. He stated that he would need to take all the food from the kids away if he was giving us our money back for our food. Finially got our money back for everything, we had to explain that we drove each 30min plus to get here that it was very unreasonable, never once said sorry, used very unprofessional language when speaking to us. Very disappointed in this establishment. I would strongly suggest to go see a movie somewhere else.

I had a question about which sizes came with the scene night out combo and it was hard to find someone to ask. The drink size is also much smaller than other theatres so I felt like you could get a better value elsewhere.

The last several times that I've visited this cinema, they haven't had anyone working the ticket booth. Instead you're expected to line up with all the people wanting snacks at the concession counter just to buy your ticket. This is extremely annoying because the way they do it is inequitable in as much as they have three separate lines. The last time I was there I saw people joining other lines that ended up moving faster, because there were bigger orders for popcorn etc. in our line. I'd much prefer to just buy my ticket at the ticket booth, but failing that put on a separate line for tickets only, at the concession, or do it like Landmark where they zig zag everyone in line so that you're actually served in sequence. Other than that I have no problem with the cinema.

Took the family to see a matinée 3D viewing of Captain Marvel. The picture quality was quite poor as if the projector wasn't pumping out enough lumens. I have experienced better detail and colour in oirated movies. I brought my concerns to an attendant prior to the start of the movie with no change. I also complained to a manager half way through the film who said he'd look into it. Nothing. He avoided me after the film. Low standards and poorly managed. I'm done with this place.

And the new layout makes it look very modern and updated BUT I hate the fact that I’m almost paying $50+ for my boyfriend and I, for us to have to get our own drink and popcorn... popcorn that has been sitting out all day..... I go out and pay for movies so that im being some what catered to, not for me to do all the work myself... and the lines are brutal since they only ever have 1 or 2 cashiers open... I know that sounds lazy but if I’m paying for a service, I want the service lol.... I do drive to Kitchener most of the time just to avoid that whole situation. Oh and the arcade is just sad lol... waste of space at this point

My main complaint comes from ciniplex "not doing combos at the moment" which makes it so much more expensive. Another issue I have is when you get your food, you have to walk to a separate counter to pay for it which was a bit confusing and didn't make a whole lot of sense. The seats were pretty nice but the theatre was not as loud as it should be when the movies play. Will never go to this location again.

After being renovated a bit the new galaxy is a step above what it used to be. Seats are far more comfortable. Though the lobby layout was a little jarring at first it makes sense once you are used to it. No issues other than that the theater is small and fills up pretty quick. But what would you expect from being in the mall? All in all it is a good theater, no issues with staff or services.

This is the first theatre I’ve been to where the regular cinema seat is all leather and with the push of a button you can lounge right back like the VIP seats at other theatres. It was also unique to be able to pick the snacks, popcorn and drinks you want from the counters and self serve dispensers. The issue I had, and the reason for the 4 stars, is the fact that in order to pay for your snacks, you have to wait in the same line as people trying to purchase tickets; those that did not use the kiosks .So even if you purchase a ticket at a kiosk, you are still stuck in the long line with people who may be purchasing both. And on a busy long weekend Sunday that we were there, only two employees were working the cash. It’s clearly an effort by management to save money on employee salaries, at the expense of good customer service. Because of the delay at the cashier, we barely made it in on time to see the start of the movie. Luckily, we only missed the plethora of commercials we are now forced to endure at the theatre. Isn’t that why we used to go to the theatre..to avoid commercials?! I digress. Anyway, I still enjoyed the experience at this cinema and would recommend this theatre.

Last 2/3 times I've been there staff and management has been great but need to reduce people that cause a disturbance during the movie. Have had people talking throughout the movie and seen people intoxicated and throwing food. Suggest more monitoring of theatres during movies.

As I just saw another customer review that is exactly how I feel. They're under construction and obviously unsure of how to run a business at the same time. I was so upset when I saw the tiny bottles they give instead of a large drink. I mentioned it to the employee and the answer was basically, oh well....I don't order the store. On top of that I had to pay $1 extra for the kids to get a juice bottle instead of a disgusting Dasani water...and no butter topping, and was told to get back in line to get butter for $1!! I really wish I knew in advance...I started coming back to this theatre because of the recliner seats, but it's not worth it, and now will head back to kitchener....like so many other people who live here. Very very disappointed. It feels like they are purposely deceieing their customers.

The new concessions stand set-up is odd and I find it rather “cluttered” with people on busy nights. I found customers wondering in and out of the line to get candy or change their popcorn size in such a small area. Slow times, no problems but sometimes change is not needed.

The movie experience as a whole is dead. While the seating is luxurious and roomy, the lobby is unwelcoming and cold and what employees that are left are lifeless. They simply take your money and funnel you through like cattle. Snack selection has shrunk to a few choices and for a while, you couldn't get any movie information at all. Hopefully, it was temporary...like renovations. I remember when it was exciting, almost magical to go to the movies. Times are changing for the worst, I'm afraid.

This place is fantastic! They have a newly redesigned interior that looks great. It's always clean and the people that work there are fantastic! Even the smallest, non-3D theatre had reclining electric LEATHER seats! So comfortable! I will always come back to this theatre. Love it!

I love Galaxy. It has the best service, it's very clean, lots of snack and drink choices, it has reclining seats that are very comfy, it has a nifty little souvenir shop, the prices are great, and finally it's right smack dab in the center of Cambridge. The one thing that needs to be changed is the arcade because there's only just a few games. The arcade room looks like it can fit roughly ten to twelve games. But all in all, Galaxy is the a great movie theater.

The seating is very nice and comfy but just when you thought they couldn't gouge more at movie theatres, Cineplex has found a way to do it. This is a new format for food service where you help yourself and their menu boards imply that if you buy a popcorn, snack and drink that you will make a combo and save some money. These menu boards lack any pricing information whatsoever. So you help yourself and find out how much things cost once you get to the checkout. When I asked about pricing, the helpful clerk was pleased to point out a couple tiny little screens mounted to the wall that I certainly didn't notice when I was looking around and no one else in the food area seemed to notice either. When I was looking at what was rung in once I got to the checkout (Yes, you will still have to wait in line), I asked if there was some sort of Combo deal. It was then that I was informed that they no longer do Combos but if I have a Scene card, I would earn 50 points. Whoa! 50 points! It would only take 30 visits to earn a free movie! I have attached a receipt to show the costs of what I purchased. Congratulations Cineplex! You are successfully duping your customers into paying more. Who cares if you are being unethical and deceitful as long as your shareholders are happy. No wonder people are pirating movies illegally to watch at home and here's a newsflash for you, Cineplex's gouging has a lot to do with it. Shame. Oh yeah, I just noticed. No 10% discounts for Scene members here either. I highly recommend sneaking in food and drink.

The best seats ever, the reclining chairs are amazing. There is so much room and you don't have to worry about fighting the person next to you for the arm rest lol. If they served some fast food, it would be been a lot better but nachos and popcorn is alright. I would recommend going just for the seats.

Love this theater,drove from Guelph to try it out.Very comfortable experience with reclining seats! Poor set up though for entrance to the cinema, only one lineup to pay for snacks and it was long. I had a pre paid ticket but had to wait to pay for popcorn.In Guelph theaters you pay for snacks when you get them and are in much quicker.Also we asked for layered butter and they aren't allowed to do it because of Covid so they put it in a cup. Again other cinemas don't do this and it seems ridiculous and a total waste of plastic.Also a real mess for staff if it gets dumped in the theater. Hope management reads these reviews...very good staff btw

Very clean. Staff polite and helpful unfortunately the bathroom is very far and out of the way on the actual theaters. Having a handicap makes you slower and I had to use the bathroom during the movie. I missed a lot of it the main plot where is your movie was plugging along slowly and then picked up tempo and a lot happened... because of the amount of time it took to go to the washroom. The movie played excessively loudly and the prices of the refreshments who are outrageous as expected in most places of that nature. Which theater has the most comfortable seating and cozy chairs which adds so much to the enjoyment of the movie itself I enjoyed the cup holders built in and since my feet have to be up when I'm sitting the reclining mechanism was fantastic as was the space in front of your chair. There was no cheap talking everyone in like a tuna can feeling here.

Helpful staff though i forgot to ask for my senior rate when they printed my ticket.(i had trouble getting my scene points at the kiosk so went to staff). Disappointed with the closures but these are the times. Miss the late night owl show times...they've been gone awhile now. Some things are just better seeing on big screen rather than home tv! Went as a family outing tonight and was thoroughly disgusted. Found several hairs in one of our bags of popcorn. Left the movie and my kids 10 minutes into the movie. Talked to the ticket taker and he was apologetic and told us to grab another bag. Returned to the movie and found more hairs in the second bag. It was so disgusting that none of the rest of my family finished their popcorn or drinks. After the movie was over I took the bag back and got a refund from the cashier after making her call the manager. Seriously though, how much does a hair net cost?

We live in Guelph, and felt it was worth the drive out to Cambridge, as the theatre has very comfortable, reclining seats. In addition to being able to order tickets online, and bypass line-ups, Galaxy Cambridge has arcade games, snack foods and a party room. I would have posted a full 5 stars but our popcorn wasn't very warm when we collected it from the glassed display area. We have been on a Friday night, and although the theatre was quite busy, the mall was closing and a lot of great parking spots were available. We have also attended on a Sunday afternoon and found that parking was even better. The mall has so many things going on that there is something for everyone if you are meeting up before or after a show, or if you'd like something else to do. The mall is serviced by public transit and the theatre is accessible. It is worth the drive out to Cambridge. Enjoy.

Firstly, I didn’t appreciate her eaves dropping over my conversation that she was not involved in and I certainly didn’t appreciate being barked at for being excited about popcorn.
